Lesson objectives:
 After the lessons students will be able to share information about themselves by
creating an all about me book.
Assessment:
 The teacher will look over the students’ books for completion and to learn more
about them.

Anticipatory set:
 Before starting the lesson, I will tell the students, “since I will be joining your class for
the next several weeks I would like to know about all of you and I bet you all would like
to know about me.” Then I will explain that we are going to make a book about ourselves
to share that information.
Procedures:
1. Pass out the blank booklets to the students
2. Start with the first page. Ask the students what is on the page. Then explain to the
students we are going to add candles to the top of the cake. There are going to be enough
candles to show how old they are. Show the students my example. Then give them a
couple minutes to add their candles and color their cake.
3. Go on to the second page. Ask the students what they see on this page. Explain to the
students we are going to fill in the empty picture frame by drawing a picture of their
family. Then they will label how many brothers and sisters they have under the picture
and any pets they may have. Show the students my example. Then give them time to
draw their families and label everyone in the picture.
4. The last page is two blank crayons. I will explain to the students that they are going to
use their two favorite colors and color in the crayons. Show them my example. Then give
them a couple minutes to color in their crayons.

Closure:
 They will share with three different classmates having four minutes to share in each
pairing. Then they will turn in their books to me.
