Economic welfare is the level of prosperity and standard of living of either an individual or a group of persons. In the field of economics, it specifically refers to utility gained through the achievement of material goods and services.
Introduction to Economics
The activity of seeking wealth is as old as Human
Civilization. Human beings either as individuals or as groups
or as large kingdoms and empires have always been engaged
in acquiring and increasing the material wealth.
However, a discipline study of the wealth producing
activities was commenced about 230 years back when Adam
Smith, the father of Economics, published “The Nature and
Causes of Wealth of Nations”. Economics, as a discipline,
constitute the most important subject to analyze activities
related to wealth creation and distribution. The dimensions of
the subject of Economics are truly vast and encompasses all
aspects of our lives.

Studying of Economics often seems hard. It is only because of the vocabulary used in defining the economic concepts, here are a set of terms which are frequently used in economics along with definitions..
Demand analysis
The “Demand” for a commodity, at a given price, is the quantity of it which will be bought per unit of time at that price.
In economics, demand refers to the buying behavior of a household. When desire is backed by willingness and ability to pay for a good or service then it becomes Demand for the good or service.
Theory of Consumer Behaviour
Consumer Behaviour is the study of how individual customers, groups or organizations select, buy, use, and dispose ideas, goods, and services to satisfy their needs and wants. It refers to the actions of the consumers in the marketplace and the underlying motives for those actions. The study of Consumer Behaviour assumes that the consumers are actors in the marketplace.
HSP Emergency Department Module
This Hospital Skills Program (HSP) module has been developed to support the professional development of doctors working in a hospital generalist role in NSW hospitals.
Doctors participating in the HSP will have at least two years of clinical postgraduate experience and not be currently participating in a specialist vocational training program.
This HSP module has been developed by CETI on behalf of NSW Health as part of the Hospital Skills Program for generalist doctors. It aims to guide doctors, their employers and educators with regard to learning and professional development needs, workplace responsibilities and clinical tasks.
This module is one of several that have been developed by CETI to support the implementation of the HSP.

The World Bank's 2020 Education Strategy aims to promote development through investing in people's knowledge and skills. It recognizes that while enrolment has increased, learning outcomes still fall short. The strategy calls for investing early in children's development, investing resources smartly based on evidence, and investing in learning for all, including disadvantaged groups. It emphasizes strengthening education systems through governance, management and accountability reforms. The World Bank pledges technical and financial support and building an evidence base to help countries implement learning-focused reforms.

The recent surge in pro-Palestine student activism has prompted significant responses from universities, ranging from negotiations and divestment commitments to increased transparency about investments in companies supporting the war on Gaza. This activism has led to the cessation of student encampments but also highlighted the substantial sacrifices made by students, including academic disruptions and personal risks. The primary drivers of these protests are poor university administration, lack of transparency, and inadequate communication between officials and students. This study examines the profound emotional, psychological, and professional impacts on students engaged in pro-Palestine protests, focusing on Generation Z's (Gen-Z) activism dynamics. This paper explores the significant sacrifices made by these students and even the professors supporting the pro-Palestine movement, with a focus on recent global movements. Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. The findings reveal that these sacrifices are driven by a profound commitment to justice and human rights, and are influenced by the increasing availability of information, peer interactions, and personal convictions. The study also discusses the broader implications of this activism, comparing it to historical precedents and assessing its potential to influence policy and public opinion. The emotional and psychological toll on student activists is significant, but their sense of purpose and community support mitigates some of these challenges.
