Introduction:
Hong Kong is a densely populated metropolitan so there are a lot of housing problems especially for
the urban poor. As the housing problems in Hong Kong such as the shortage of housing units are
getting more acute, it is worth making an in depth analysis for the sake of gaining a deeper insight of
the responses of the government in housing problems.
I will focus on different measures and actions taken by Hong Kong government in 21th Century. All
data collected is based on library research and online research. There are three main responses after
the comprehensive research. The following are what Hong Kong government gives ... Show more

Apart from building the public housing units in order to meet the needs of the urban poor, the
government carries out urban renewal plans and new town development plans for the sake of coping
with the problem of the old and dilapidated buildings. Many inner cities such as Sham Shui Po and
Tsuen Wan are facing the problem of urban decay as the buildings are old and not safe for the poor to
live in so urban renewal is one of the means to deal with this problem. Li Rui (2003) states, urban

Queen Elizabeth I Figurative Language
The 16th hundreds advanced the conflict between religions in Europe, due to acts like the separation
of England from the pope s jurisdiction. This lead to the war of England against the Spanish Armada
in 1588. Therefore, the English Queen, Elizabeth Tudor, composed the widely acclaimed speech
directed at the troops at Tilbury, augmenting the feelings of patriotism in the soldier s hearts, creating
a passionate fervor for their country before this alarming battle. Additionally, to empathetically
motivate the troops to defend England from invaders, Queen Elizabeth I operate declarative syntax,
diverse figurative language, and positive diction. Initially, Queen Elizabeth I s declarative syntax
makes her seem less imposing, regardless of her title, and more sympathetic. For instance, instead of
pressuring the people to follow her will, such as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. did when saying,
Whenever racial discrimination exists it is a tragic expression of man s spiritual degeneracy and moral
bankruptcy. Therefore, it must be removed not merely because it is diplomatically expedient, but
because it is morally compelling , the Queen uses declarative sentences that just persuade people to do
what she wants, defend the country. Similarly, the Queen of England utilizes long descriptive
sentences such as, I know I have the body, but of a weak and feeble woman; but I have the heart and
stomach of a king, and of a king of England too, and think foul scorn that Parma or Spain, or any

Architectural Failure Essay
ARCHITECTURAL FAILURES, SAFETY MEASURES AND RISKS IN CONSTRUCTION NIA
303 (2) Text of Paper presented to the NIAPPE preparatory seminar at Digital Bridge Institute on 6
March 2012 by Arc. J. O. Toluhi PART I ARCHITECTURAL FAILURES The concept of architectural
failures is better understood from the perspective of what architecture really is, criteria for
architectural project success and what failure connotes. What architecture means Architecture is
defined in various ways by architects and non architects alike depending on their focus or area of

This type of failure, which has become a grave cause for concern in recent times, can be caused by a
wide range of factors including: a) inadequate soil investigation leading to an unsuitable foundation
design and construction. b) an improper structural design usually by a quack (charlatan),
inexperienced or unqualified professional, c) lack of or inadequate supervision of construction to
ensure strict adherence to design and specifications d) use of poor, substandard or untested materials.
e) wrong choice of (an incompetent contractor) which can set the stage for this type of failure. All
these could be brought about by and constitute professional negligence, which is considered a serious
misconduct from which an architect cannot excuse himself. An architect s role as the coordinator of
allied professional inputs into an architectural project calls for vigilance on his part. Research and
experimental/demonstrative projects should be properly handled and protected from the incidence of
collapse. ii) Malfunction (Non functional Designs): This is a failure at meeting one of the critical
success criteria of an architectural project meeting the user s expectation. A building is designed to
fulfill a particular purpose and to specific standards of performance and it fails when it falls short of
the purpose or performance standard. A public building meant to be reached with ease will be a failure
if wrongly sited on the outskirts of town where it takes extra effort

Summary Of Clare Boothe Luce s Speech
As society advances and the opinions of the general public change several press outlets work to stay
up to date with the changing times. However, in an attempt to stay modernized journalists often times
sacrifice their integrity to stay favorable in the public eye. These degrading actions, often times
sacrifice the true news for more appealing news. Clare Boothe Luce, American journalist and
politician, gives a controversial speech to the Women s National Press Club condemning her female
audience. Moreover, as a female addressing an audience of women she is able to give her true opinion
and is able to honestly critique her colleagues. She persuades her audience by preparing them for the
criticism by reiterating that she is the guest, by praising journalism, and by logically providing
reasoning that the journalistic view must change for the good of the general public.
Luce begins her speech by expressing her happiness and excitement for being invited to be the guest
of honor at the Women s National Press Club. Expressing her happiness, she says she is flattered and
challenged by the opportunity to give her speech. However, as she continues her introduction by
repeating her introductory statement she alters it by saying that she is less happy and more challenged
than one might know. The slight change in her statement prepares her audience for something that
they may view as unpleasant, so that they do not feel shocked about what they are about to hear. Not
only is Clare Luce able to subtly communicate with her audience but she is also able to provide signs
that can help them better understand her purpose. Additionally, in order to remind the audience that
they asked for her opinion, Luce states that she did not offer to give the speech rather she says you
asked for it, reminding the audience that her opinion and critique is exactly what they requested. The
repetition of the nature of her speech allows Luce to confirm that her audience is clear about her
intentions with the speech that she is about to give.
As Luce continues her speech she softens her audience for the criticism by praising their careers and
their writings. Yet, she continues to provide warnings by retelling them that they are an

Essay about The Making of the Golden Age of Children s...
For children s literature the Golden Age was a time of reform and new beginnings. The Golden Age
opened the doors for an interesting read where adults are not present. The literature that was intended
for children during this period introduced a world of literature in which children were the protagonist.
These stories not only take children on remarkable journeys though time but they also address many
issues of social class in regards to children. The Golden Age reflects greatly the Victorian era where
children were left to become orphans because their parents could not support them financially or
because their parents just did not want them. The Golden age welcomed children into a society that
they were once neglected by. It was not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These stories often times take children out of the real world and take them to a world that is full of
magic and freedom. These stories were meant to help put a stop to excessive child labor. The Golden
age wanted to give children freedom to explore what was once forbidden. These books make the
impossible now possible for its child reader. These books bring to life all the words and pictures and
allow children to expand their minds.
The Golden Age was a period where the middle class was on the rise. Before this period the middle
class was not able to buy any literature because they were made to be very expensive so that only the
upper class could afford the literature Until the Golden Age children of the middle and lower class
were not seen as worth of getting any form of education even if they tried to educate themselves by
reading a book. However, once the introduction of the Golden Age the upper class was no longer the
only people who had access to children literature. The advancement of technology and different media
forms helped allow for the development of cheaper books to be produced so that everyone could
possibly afford them and all children would have the opportunity to read literature that was uplifting.
One of the most common structures of children literature is when a child is displayed to go through
several different life stages. After the child becomes and orphan and is exposed to different elements

Legalizing Marijuana Research Paper
Marijuana
A smoker would theoretically have to consume nearly fifteen hundred pounds of marijuana within
about 15 minutes to induce a lethal response... In strict medical terms, marijuana is far safer than many
of the foods we commonly consume. For example, eating ten raw potatoes can result in a toxic
response. By comparison, it is physically impossible to eat enough marijuana to induce death. DEA
Administrative Law Judge Francis L. Young. Between 9 and 17 million Americans are occasional
users of marijuana and about 3 million are daily users. As many as 40 million have tried the drug for
many different reasons such as experimentation and peer pressure (Schleichert 40). Much of America

In India marijuana was holy and was given to people by the Hindu god Shiva as a gift. It was taken as
a drink mixed with milk and sugar, and was available to many people because it was inexpensive.
(Abel 33) Use in ancient Rome was noted around 70 A.D. by a physician named Pedacius Dioscorides
in a book about plants and their healing characteristics. The book contained information that
marijuana was a good remedy for earaches, and this treatment was used throughout Europe for about
1500 years. Recently scientists discovered a body of a woman who died of childbirth 1600 years ago.
Close to the body, a burnt substance was found and with later investigation the substance was
determined to be marijuana. Scientists concluded that marijuana was used to ease labor pains (Abel
33). Marijuana use in the United States is more recent. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson both
grew marijuana on their estates and Washington said to Make the most of the hemp seed, and sow it
everywhere (Schleichert 9). During the early 1800 s marijuana was sold as extracts that were said to
help cure aliments ranging from migraines and asthma to epilepsy, insomnia, chronic bronchitis and
gonorrhea. Later, around 1890, the medical use of marijuana declined with the invention of the
hypodermic needle. Drugs could now have quicker and more reliable pain relief and finally in 1941
cannabis was taken out of professional

The Importance Of Advertising In Advertising
Advertising and marketing have existed long ago in time, but most likely in a different form
unfamiliar to us. Many years ago, sellers advertised by posting on the windows of shops, providing
free samples of food, and eventually by posting in newspapers and radio (O Barr, 2005). An intriguing
historic fact is that advertising was used to convince people to journey to the New World in the 1800s
(O Barr, 2005). Nowadays, with increased exposure to media through television, cell phones,
computers, and other electronic devices, marketing has become more advanced and ubiquitous.
According to the documentary, advertisements have consistently carried the standard of indoctrination,
or promotion. The documentary describes that there used to be a limited and cheap marketing culture
for children in the 1900s. After deregulation in the 1980s, the trend of promotion or indoctrination had
drastically grown throughout time as marketers found better ways to popularize their products,
services, and values.
In 2006, the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil implemented a law to prohibit public, outdoor advertisements.
Soon after, thousands of advertisements on highways, billboards, public transportation, and buildings
were removed, thus exposing the authenticity and natural essence of the city. Many local businesses
opposed this law and felt it would ruin their chance of garnering sales and consumers (Goodson,
2012). In fact, this law has influenced Beijing and several European towns to restrict

Puritans In John Winthrop s A Model Of Christian Charity
John Winthrop and the Puritans dared to make the dangerous journey across the Atlantic Ocean for
their religious beliefs. The journey was expected to be difficult and the new land was expected to be
unlike anything they had ever seen before. They were looking to become just the third group of people
to successfully make the trek to the new world. While on the ship destined for what is now known as
America, John Winthrop pulled all the Puritans together and delivered to them a speech bestowed
upon him from God. Winthrop s speech was later recorded and renamed A Model of Christian Charity
. Winthrop uses this sermon to motivate the Puritans as they head for the new world. Winthrop

With the time that the Puritans would have in the new world, this was beautiful music to the Puritans
ears. Lastly, the Puritans lack of possessions would allow them to depend on one another much more
in the bonds of brotherly affection (Winthrop 148). Since the Puritans would have no possessions to
spend time on, they had more time to spend with one another, and thus depend on one another.
Through spending time with one another, the Puritans would build bonds and friendships that are
much better than any material possessions they could own. Through these points, Winthrop
encourages the Puritans to not become weary about their lack of wealth, but instead see their poor
souls as opportunities for God to work in their life. Winthrop was aware that as the Puritans headed to
the new world, they would have to be completely reliant on one another. Winthrop encourages the
Puritans to love their neighbors as themselves. Winthrop motivates the Puritans to love their enemies
and those who do them wrong. Through the words of Jesus, Winthrop encourages the Puritans to act in
the way of the golden rule (149). Winthrop calls the Puritans to go out of their way when others are in
distress or hurting no matter their social standing or friendship. The Puritans must be utterly reliant on
one another in this new world, and the only way for this to happen is by truly loving their

Heterotrimeric Meaning Pathway
Describe the signalling pathways downstream of the heterotrimeric G proteins Gs, Gi and Gq.
Heterotrimeric G proteins are an important group of proteins involved in signal transduction and are
associated with G protein coupled receptors (GPCR). These proteins bind to guanine nucleotides:
guanosine triphosphate (GTP) and guanosine diphosphate (GDP). Gs, Gi and Gq are the three
different G protein families that exists.
G proteins are have three subunits, alpha (), beta () and gamma (), each composed of different amino
acid therefore they are known as heterotrimeric. The G and G are tightly attached to each other so are
known as the beta gamma complex (G). G subunit has an important feature which is the binding site
for exchange of GTP to GDP.

Texas Geography
The geography of Texas is hugely varied, from beaches to mountains. You can break Texas down into
four main regions, divided by rivers, escarpments and other natural features. Texas has all the
locations you might need: forests, cliffs, mountainous desert that could pass for Mars, NASA s
Johnson Space Center and even a coastline. The Lone Star state is often divided into four regions: the
Gulf Coastal Plains, the Interior Lowlands, also called the North Central Plains, the Great Plains and
the Basin and Range or Mountains and Basins region. Each region has unique landforms and natural
features. The first region of Texas is the Gulf Coastal Plains. The Gulf Coast stretches along the Gulf
of Mexico for hundreds of miles. Cities such as Corpus Christi, Galveston, and Houston are in the
Gulf Coast region. Near the gulf waters you can see marshes, barrier islands, estuaries, where salty sea
water and fresh river water meet, and bays. As you travel west, you can see prairies and grasslands.

Looking at Life in Different Ways
At the end of Look Both Ways, the film maker convinces viewers that the characters are capable of
looking at their lives in different ways. Do you agree?
In the film Look Both Ways, director Sarah Watt explores the theme that perspective can determine
experience in life. The film demonstrates that life is an unscripted event where no one knows the final
outcome and we can often become overwhelmed by how seemingly little control we exert over the
navigation of our lives By using main characters Nick, Meryl and Andy, she suggests that changing a
person s outlook on life can enrich that person and help overcoming problems. Nick learnt that cancer

Only upon her actual submission to the fact that things just happen can Meryl finally begin to regain
her happiness.
Conversely, Andy s view of death is quite different to that of Nick and Meryl. To him, it is an escape
route. His negative view on life has him belief that everything happens deliberately. Andy is
disgruntled by his job, embittered by his previous marriage and feels threatened by Anna s pregnancy
and the prospect of paying the bills for the rest of his life to another woman. This moulds him into an
egoistic person, refusing to take responsibility as he believes everyone has an agenda . Angry and
frustrated, the extent of Andy s distress is shown as he immaturely pops a bag of chips at the store and
tells the gospel choir to shut up . However, his encounter with Nick at the train track is cathartic in
bringing a turnaround of his ideas. When he discovers Nicks diagnoses he steps back from the railway
and realises how his selfish attitude has kept him hostage to leading an enjoyable life. Andy looks at
his life from another angle, that this child may be his opportunity to redeem himself. In the concluding
photomontage we see him holding his baby, suggesting that he was able to move on with his life and
change his perspective on the past and future.

Economic Theory
Monetary Policy of Kazakhstan
Monetary policy is the process by which the monetary authority of a country controls the supply of
money, often targeting a rate of interest for the purpose of promoting economic growth and stability.
The official goals usually include relatively stable prices and low unemployment. Monetary theory
provides insight into how to craft optimal monetary policy. It is referred to as either being
expansionary or contractionary, where an expansionary policy increases the total supply of money in
the economy more rapidly than usual, and contractionary policy expands the money supply more
slowly than usual or even shrinks it. Expansionary policy is traditionally used to try to combat ...

Comparing Locke, Berkeley, And Hume
Locke, Berkeley, and Hume
Enlightenment began with an unparalleled confidence in human reason. The new science s success in
making clear the natural world through Locke, Berkeley, and Hume affected the efforts of philosophy
in two ways. The first is by locating the basis of human knowledge in the human mind and its
encounter with the physical world. Second is by directing philosophy s attention to an analysis of the
mind that was capable of such cognitive success. John Locke set the tone for enlightenment by
affirming the foundational principle of empiricism: There is nothing in the intellect that was not
previously in the senses. Locke could not accept the Cartesian rationalist belief in innate ideas.
According to Locke, all ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Locke fought off skepticism with the argument that in the end both types of qualities must be regarded
as experiences of the mind. Lockes Doctrine of Representation was therefore undefendable. According
to Berkley s analysis all human experience is phenomenal, limited to appearances in the mind. One s
perception of nature is one s mental experience of nature, making all sense data objects for the mind
and not representations of material substances. In effect while Locke had reduced all mental contents
to an ultimate basis in sensation, Berkeley now further reduced all sense data to mental contents. The
distinction, by Locke, between qualities that belong to the mind and qualities that belong to matter
could not be sustained. Berkeley sought to overcome the contemporary tendency toward atheistic
Materialism which he felt arose without just cause with modern science. The empiricist correctly aims
that all knowledge rests on experience. In the end, however, Berkeley pointed out that experience is
nothing more than experience. All representations, mentally, of supposed substances, materially, are as
a final result ideas in the mind presuming that the existence of a material world external to the mind as
an unwarranted assumption. The idea is that to be does not mean to be a material substance; rather to
be means to be perceived by a mind. Through this Berkeley held that the individual mind does not
subjectively determine its experience of

The Importance Of Self Reflection
Peoples appearances in todays society is based upon the clothes they decided to wear that morning, the
hairstyle they spent hours on doing and the hours that they would never get back deciding what pattern
would look cute to wear on the outside of their skin, bedazzled with sterling silver. With no
anticipation of being stereotyped people continuously repeat these actions in the purpose of self
satisfaction or expression. The two articles referred to in this essay provides personal experiences of
the causes in self reflection decisions in addition to a medical perspective on why sometimes the risk
outweighs the rewards. In fact, in the Article Dredlocked: You see my hair, but do you see me? by
Veronica Chambers she gives a backstory on how her hair was portrayed her whole life as bad , nappy
, or hard and short . She continues more in depth on how she was surrounded by others whose hair
was straightened into acceptance. Her family, best friend and the doll barbie was even mentioned as a
example of her surroundings that belittled her hair texture. Sharing a story that took place her junior
year in college onNew Year s Eve, Chambers took action in regards to twisting her hair. She long
waited for a call from a boy that was never received. Previously inspired months before by a model on
the front cover of essence, she forwarded to imitating the locks flowing with all the majesty seen on

more than ever. She was called a Rasta mama , Nubian princess , drug dealer , unemployed artist ,

Chambers told herself that twisting her hair started a process of seeing beauty where no one had ever
seen it before . Chambers withstood the negative and complementing stereotypes in regards to her
own self satisfaction. Her satisfaction of her self expression was all the justification she needed, she

The Problem Of Youth Culture
Inhalants have been a problem in youth culture longer than one might expect in the United States. In
the 1950 s it began to be discovered that kids were experiencing effects of getting high by sniffing
glue. Inhalants are very dangerous due to the fact they are a stealth drug. That is, they are mostly
substances that were never intended for human consumption. Moreover, the users can obtain a fast
high at home by telling their parents they are going to study; while disappearing into their room to
huff an inhalant. Inhalants are difficult to regulate considering they do have practical uses for
particular purposes. Thus, most of the products used to obtain a high are not prohibited from sale in

steps. Of course the data is imported from the source, but there should always be some backup
involved in order to keep the integrity of the data. In some cases the next step would be manipulation
or spellchecking. This depends on what kind of data is involved. However, in this case spell checking

The Autobiography Of Malcolm X By Alex Haley Essay
Malcolm X had a very interesting life and there were several aspects that affected his views of
American society. In The Autobiography of Malcolm X by Alex Haley, the three main things that
effected Malcolm s life was his arrival in the city of Boston, the conk he received, and his brother
Reginald. These three symbols changed his life forever. Also all of them were connected as well.
Malcolm X, being from Lansing, Michigan, never expected his life to change as drastically as it did.
Growing up in Lansing, Malcolm was exposed to the negative parts of the city. He even predicted his
own death to happen due to violence since most of his family was victims of violence. In Lansing,
hardly any black man died from natural causes. In chapter one of the book, Malcolm stated that his
father, Earl Little, had seen four of his six brothers die by violence, three of them killed by white men,
including one by lynching. When Malcolm s mother found out that Malcolm s father was murdered,
she had a mental breakdown. For several months, she had been doing things out of the ordinary and
Malcolm began to worry about her. She eventually was sent to the mental illness home where she
spent the rest of her life. All of the children were separated and this gave Malcolm the perception that
now his family has been a victim to society. In the summer of 1940, Malcolm spends the entire
summer with his sister Ella who had been living in the city of Boston. Seeing how much better life

Developing A Strong Classroom Management Style
There are many factors that affects a student s ability to learn and achieve. Classroom management
plays a major role in the effectiveness of education and paves the way for the teacher to engage
students in learning. Classroom management creates a set of expectations, routines, rules, and
consequences. Through my experience at Olson Elementary, I have had the privilege of observing Ms.
Mason, her students, and how she addresses classroom management. Every teacher has their own
approach on classroom management, but essentially instills and models and principles of instills the
goals and structure that meet the needs of their students.
A key factor in developing a strong classroom management style is having engaging instruction. Ms.
Mason creates a motivating environment by using a variety of teaching methods and tools. She uses a
document camera and projector to display teaching lessons to the class. She does assignments with the
students, which engages the students and allows them to move at a pace that better suits them. She
also incorporates the use of videos, current events, and different activity stations. She also has a
compelling nature about her when speaks and interacts with her students; she is animated, sincere, and
captivating. In my future classroom I would also use different teaching methods because students have
different learning styles. I would incorporate more kinesthetic and hands on learning activities. I
would want to emphasize Ron Clark s approach

Forensic Science Essay example
Forensic Science has contributed to our world a great deal. People often misunderstand Forensic
Science and believe it is much more capable than it really is. As a matter of fact what you see on T.V.
is around 80% false or over exaggerated in some way. To Start of, Criminal Investigation is the largest
and most known form of Forensic Science. Some of the more known areas include; Fingerprinting,
Ballistics, DNA Identification, Fiber Samples, Computer Animation, Documentation analysis, etc. To
get this out of the way in the beginning, what you saw on last night s law and order is far from the
truth. Things they do in a matter of hours take months at a time, and most of the time aren t even

Computer Animation is another valuable aspect in Forensics. Many People believe that they are
getting virtually framed , and that computer animations are inconclusive. This has been shown to be
wrong and is said to be much more accurate then an actual man reenactment. Computers are able to
precisely pinpoint every single aspect of the reenactment. Some argue that this may Create reality and
not illustrate it, but that s up to the court to decide. An example of how this works was used when a
snowplow struck an Iowa State basketball players car killing him. The plow driver was going 10 miles
over the speed limit. This video was recreated and showed a fatal blow the side of the deceased s car.
Although he was speeding this movie was recreated with the plow going the speed limit and he still
would have been fatally killed. The Iowa student didn t look when pulling out into the intersection if
you re wondering. Also, Forensic Scientists use computer animation to simulate the aging or
appearance change in a criminal or deceased individual. Though this is a great technique, things
cannot always be exactly 100% certain on the reconstruction. A lot of the deciding whether this if
valid, is up too the jury souly. This can even help provide the cause of death in a badly degraded
badly.
Documentation Examination is another very important aspect in Forensic Science.

Impact Of Barack Obama In The 2000 s
Important People and Political Scandals in the 2000 s
Barack Obama was an important person in the 2000 s that impacted our society for the better. He was
liked by many people for some of the things that he was doing. After his first term as president, he was
reelected for a second term. Barack Obama was our first and currently only African American
president to be in office. Barack Obama was seen as a good president and was loved enough to get
reelected for that second term. Barack Obama was not just loved, but also seen as a symbol. He helped
to bring and raise hope that racial relations would improve. Since Barack Obama s presidency, our
country is more diverse than it has ever been. This is a good thing, because it shows that we are in a
place full of many different opinions and ideas. With these diverse views we can learn from one
another to overcome problems and become stronger as a whole. In 2009 Barack Obama won the
Nobel Peace prize. He won this prize for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international
diplomacy and cooperation between peoples . He was a well liked person and importantly raised
hopes for people all over the United States. Barack Obama did not just raise hope, but he also
improved our economy. After Barack Obama came into the presidency, he helped unemployment go
from about 10% to below 5%. In 2008, he also started to help end the Great Recession. It ended at last
in June 2009. He was also able to modernize the auto industry by making it

Social Control Theory And Recidivism
This was a very in depth research project, particularly for a research essay. For the research provide
was well written and well organized. However, there should be more methodology when it comes to
the subject of recidivism. There were several theories that I have come across when doing my
research; Social control theory is a belief that society has a responsibility to maintain stability, make
sure that rules and responsibilities are easily understood, and provide activities to prevent criminal
activity. A common example occurs when, in poverty stricken areas, children may not have enough
food to eat and are left home alone. In this instance, it is society s obligation to provide activities after
school to prevent children from committing

The Ecosystem Of The Chesapeake Bay
The Ecosystem
Introduction to Basic Geography
Fig. 1.1
Scene in Fig. 1.1., the Chesapeake Bay is substantial in size; at roughly 64,000 miles, it contains
roughly fifty rivers and thousands of streams and creeks. It encompasses parts of 6 states, including all
of Washington, DC. The Chesapeake Bay is what is known as a watershed, an area that contributes to
the drainage to a water body, stream, river, lake or ocean. Rainwater that falls within the 64,000 square
miles that is the Chesapeake Bay will subsequently travel through many streams and rivers, eventually
making its way into the largest estuary system in the United States.
The Estuary System
An estuary system is the resulting collisions of sweet and salt fresh river water flowing seaward and
ocean water inland. It is an aquatic system where salt and freshwater are constantly mixing. An
estuary system is one of most active systems of the planet; it is a hybrid system that contains the best
and worst qualities of the ocean, river, and lake systems it conglomerates. Estuaries are unique in
nature because of their ability to be the most productive ecosystem on the entire planet; humans have
attempted and failed to reach the productivity that estuaries naturally grant. There productivity lies it
the constant change that occurs from the conflicting flows of fresh and ocean water. Ocean and
freshwater are measured largely based on salinity, or the level of parts of salt per thousand. Ocean

Description Of A Flight Recorder
1. Introduction It is very difficult, when an accident occurs during a flight to determine precisely what
happened for several reasons:  Most of the time, during a flight, an aircraft is not in an environment
where people cannot testimony what they saw (over water, high in the sky ...)  When the aircraft
crashes, it is often in an area difficult to access (open sea, on a mountain, ...)  When the aircraft is
ready to be examined, after being recovered from a difficult crash area or after a potential fire has
been extinguished, the pieces are frequently severely damaged. To be able to retrace what happened
during the last moments of the flight of the aircraft, before an accident or incident, a flight recorder
has been developed. The information collected by this flight recorder can help the investigation teams
to understand what happened even when the aircraft is badly damaged or even impossible to use to
find answers. But developing a flight recorder is not simple precisely because it has to withstand a
severe accident. When an extreme fire starts after a crash for example, the flight recorder has to stay in
good conditions until it is recovered by someone on the crash site. Therefore, regulations,
certifications and standards have been made to ensure that this element in the aircraft has all the
required properties. Nowadays, the flight recorder has an increasing role to play in investigations of
accidents because of the number of passengers that can be carried on a

There are a number of challenges faced by organizations wishing to conduct business with other firms
in a foreign country. The reason behind this is that the organization will be required to engage either in
the importation or exportation of goods or services. The Emirates Motor Company has for many years
engaged in the importation of Mercedes Benz from Germany into the UAE. One of the major

The company is considered to be one of German s big 3 manufactures of luxury automobiles along
with BMW and Audi. The three manufacturers currently dominate the world market for luxury cars.
Over the past years, Mercedes Benz has been seen to engage in activities aimed at increasing its global
presence. The company has been seen to open franchises in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East in order
to take advantage of the rapid economic growth in the regions. The company has also been seen to
keenly monitor its African market. It has opened a franchise in Egypt to help it conduct business with
Africa more efficiently and effectively. In 2014 alone, Mercedes Benz sold 2.5 million cars.
Besides the manufacture of automobiles, the company also offers financial services. It performs this
role through the help of Daimler Financial Services AG. The arm of the organization has aided the
company to further penetrate the Middle East market. In 2009, Mercedes Benz announced the official
opening of Mercedes Benz Leasing Middle East and Mercedes Benz Finance Middle East. The two
new companies owned by Mercedes Benz had their headquarters established at Dubai, one of the
regions making up the United Arab Emirates (UAE) (Coughlin amp; Ambrosio, 2012). They were
established with the aim of providing lease and loan services to private and business customers who

Hate Exposed in Babi Yar Essay
Hate Exposed in Babi Yar
Babi Yar, a poem written by Yevgeny Yevtushenko, tells the story of the Nazi invasion into a small
part of Russia, in which, throughout the duration of World War II, over one hundred thousand Jews,
Gypsies and Russian POW s were brutally murdered. However, what is unique about this particular
perspective is that the narrator is not a Jew, but a mere observer who is aghast at the atrocities that
took place during the Holocaust. It is through allusions, as well as other literary devices, that
Yevtushenko elucidates caustically the absurdities of the hatred that caused the Holocaust, in addition
to the narrator s identification with the Jews and their history of oppression.
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Perhaps even more of a travesty, however, is the fact that humankind has not learned from the past in
light of the fact that this episode is merely one link in a long chain of terrors.
Yevtushenko goes on to allude to Anne Frank, a young Jewish teenager who left behind a diary of her
thoughts and dreams, and how the Nazis strip her of any potential future she has when she is murdered
in the death camps. Clearly, the allusion creates images in the mind of the reader that mere
descriptions via the use of words could not.
Another effective literary device used in the poem is the first person narrative in which the narrator
identifies with those victims which he describes. This is seen in the case where the narrator says I am
Dreyfus , or Anne Frank, I am she. The narrator does not claim to understand what the feelings and
thoughts of these people are, but rather, he is acknowledging the fact that they are feeling, detested
and denounced and that unlike the rest of the world who turned its head, or the Russians who actually
abetted such heinous crimes, this gentile narrator can not empathize, but does sympathize with his
Jewish brethren.
Another extremely powerful device used by Yevtushenko is the detail of description and imagery used
to describe events and feelings that are in both those whom he identifies with, as well as

Essay Comparing The Marriage Of Figaro And Twelfth Night
A common discussion between the sexes is the omnipotent power that men seem to hold over women
in all societies. Why do men always have the social advantage over women? Both Shakespeare s
Twelfth Night and Beaumarchais The Marriage of Figaro show that there is indeed a social stigma
placed on women where women are not allowed as much freedom to either fight back against a suitor
or choose not to accept a suitor s love and choose another. Shakespeare s Twelfth Night focuses
mainly on the negative stigmas against women, while Beaumarchais The Marriage of Figaro places
most of the blame for perpetuating the stigmas on the aristocracy, especially the men within the
aristocracy (i.e. the Count). Both texts examine the social role women play in society, and both texts
critique the societal norms that restrict women.

Towards the beginning, Suzanne expresses her dislike of the positioning of her and Figaro s bedroom.
She is afraid that the Count will somehow distract Figaro enough for him to lie with her. The fact that
she even considers this a possibility reveals a great problem: in her position as a servant of the
aristocracy and as a young woman, Suzanne is likely to fall prey to powerful men, just because they
have power over her. The Countess, too, is in a similar position, although she is of the aristocracy. The
Countess is held strictly accountable for the rumors that she was engaging in an affair, even though the
Count himself is attempting to engage in his own affair with Suzanne. The Count accuses the
Countess of unfaithfulness and doesn t even consider that his own attempt at an affair is an account of
his own unfaithfulness. Suzanne also encounters this issue when the Count uncovers Cherubin, and
Cherubin is discovered in her room: You wanted to be alone so you could receive my page, eh?

The Continual Rise Of Online Bingo
Blog 14 The continual rise of online bingo
If I asked you to think about what image summarises bingo, odds are you would immediately think of
the smoke filled bingo halls of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. For going on 50 years bingo was a game
housed locally and operated on a low level within small communities. But as time ticked on, the game
would evolve, especially when the invention known as the Internet would come into play.
Transforming this once community housed game into a true global event, online bingo now dominates
the web as far as gambling is concerned. Before you sit down to dab on a digital ticket or claim a no
deposit bingo offer, it is worth taking a look back at what has brought the game this far. The following

However, as time would pass the young and fresh image it once had would fade. It seemed that as new
and exciting casino games were popularised, bingo would fade in to the background, with only the
loyalists continuing to play. By the 1960s bingo had become a game well known for its mature
audience, which sadly hampered its progress in the decades to come.
In the 1990s the world as we know it would change, the Internet would arrive and introduce the era of
the information age. The ushering in of this new era would not only change the way people behave,
but it would shake the foundations of the bingo industry. Taking bingo out of land based halls and
putting it online, during the 2000s online bingo would gain serious momentum thanks to free bing
offers. Millions would migrate to the new format, as its benefits became immediately clear to the
world.
The reason why it has become so popular is because it represented the evolution of the game. Those
who chose to play online were now no longer limited by a small selection of games, as all the world s
variants became within arms reach at new bingo sites. Not only that, it allowed players to buy tickets
from the comfort of their own home, something that was certainly once thought impossible. Keeping
faithful to the social roots of the game, players can still interact with other players as usual, but now it
can be done without running the risk of missing any numbers at the best bingo sites.

Individualism In Persepolis
In Marjane Satrapi s graphic novel, Persepolis, the effects of revolution and women s suffrage shapes
Satrapi s individualism and the way she writes Persepolis. However, these effects could also be the
reasoning for conformity throughout the nation and her graphic novel. Satrapi uses symbols such as
veiling, her rebellious actions as a teen and culture to show originality. Veiling could of meant various
things to women in Iran in the 1970s, some would say Satrapi does not show any significance to the
veils and only uses them to show the cultural aspect of women. As well for the symbols of the

It was seen as a symbol of respect, authority, or marriage. In Persepolis there is a panel when a
powerful male figure says on tv, If in fact it is really more civilized to go without a veil, then animals
are more civilized than we are (Satrapi 74) suggesting that the veil was not a punishment or for
segregation, but their cultured way of life. In fact, many women protested to make sure that they had
the freedom to veil as they were influenced by modernized Islam by doing so. In 1979, veiling was
seen as a major symbol for anti imperialism of the Islamic Revolution going on (Jelodar). Although
the government was requiring women to wear veils, many were already doing it on their own to show
what they stood for. Satrapi and her mother were a few of Iranian women who felt strongly about
veiling they resisted as much as possible, but if women were being killed and sent to prison for not
being properly veiled; that could be a reason for why there was so many women willing to conform
and veil himself. However Satrapi never mentions other reasons women would want to veil
themselves, such as for anti imperialism, respect or a sign of marriage throughout her graphic

Nonvalue added activities do not add value to the goods or services. 1 4. Differential costs are
important for managerial decision making, but other cost data can provide management with
additional important information. For example, inventory values and costs of goods sold are important
for income tax and financial reporting purposes as well as for most bonus and cost plus contracting
purposes. Costs for performance evaluation are not necessarily differential costs. Companies try to
recover all costs, hence some estimate of total costs is needed. (This could be an opportunity to
discuss short run and long run costs with students, noting that in the long run, all costs must be
covered.)

The LBC Play
The LBC event I attended this weekend was, the play The Boy Who Loved Monsters and The Girl

The Dark Ages Of Europe
The Dark Ages of Europe is one of the most known horrible times recorded in human history. When
Rome finally crumbled it was a devastating time, it lead to the worst time period that Europe has ever
seen; full of disease and poverty. It started in 410 A.D and ended in 1200 A.D. During this time people
would rather die a horrible death than to actually live through this time. Terrifying Vikings tore
through the continent along with cruel Knights. Barbarians ravaged through what was first the

At the beginning of this time period, before the decline, Rome was the mother of the world. It is the
largest recorded empire ever known and was one of the wonders of the world. It was the center of
trade and was the protector of Europe. The fall of this miraculous empire was the very beginning of
the dark ages. Without Rome s protection, that meant that western Europe was defenseless against
others. Eastern Europe still had rulers Justinian and Theodora, but they weren t much help to the
beginning of the fall of Europe. Without Rome s trade, they didn t have any money or supplies. The
fall of Rome s main center lead to the beginning of the Dark Ages.

  • 3. Queen Elizabeth I Figurative Language The 16th hundreds advanced the conflict between religions in Europe, due to acts like the separation of England from the pope s jurisdiction. This lead to the war of England against the Spanish Armada in 1588. Therefore, the English Queen, Elizabeth Tudor, composed the widely acclaimed speech directed at the troops at Tilbury, augmenting the feelings of patriotism in the soldier s hearts, creating a passionate fervor for their country before this alarming battle. Additionally, to empathetically motivate the troops to defend England from invaders, Queen Elizabeth I operate declarative syntax, diverse figurative language, and positive diction. Initially, Queen Elizabeth I s declarative syntax makes her seem less imposing, regardless of her title, and more sympathetic. For instance, instead of pressuring the people to follow her will, such as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. did when saying, Whenever racial discrimination exists it is a tragic expression of man s spiritual degeneracy and moral bankruptcy. Therefore, it must be removed not merely because it is diplomatically expedient, but because it is morally compelling , the Queen uses declarative sentences that just persuade people to do what she wants, defend the country. Similarly, the Queen of England utilizes long descriptive sentences such as, I know I have the body, but of a weak and feeble woman; but I have the heart and stomach of a king, and of a king of England too, and think foul scorn that Parma or Spain, or any ... • 5. Summary Of Clare Boothe Luce s Speech As society advances and the opinions of the general public change several press outlets work to stay up to date with the changing times. However, in an attempt to stay modernized journalists often times sacrifice their integrity to stay favorable in the public eye. These degrading actions, often times sacrifice the true news for more appealing news. Clare Boothe Luce, American journalist and politician, gives a controversial speech to the Women s National Press Club condemning her female audience. Moreover, as a female addressing an audience of women she is able to give her true opinion and is able to honestly critique her colleagues. She persuades her audience by preparing them for the criticism by reiterating that she is the guest, by praising journalism, and by logically providing reasoning that the journalistic view must change for the good of the general public. Luce begins her speech by expressing her happiness and excitement for being invited to be the guest of honor at the Women s National Press Club. Expressing her happiness, she says she is flattered and challenged by the opportunity to give her speech. However, as she continues her introduction by repeating her introductory statement she alters it by saying that she is less happy and more challenged than one might know. The slight change in her statement prepares her audience for something that they may view as unpleasant, so that they do not feel shocked about what they are about to hear. Not only is Clare Luce able to subtly communicate with her audience but she is also able to provide signs that can help them better understand her purpose. Additionally, in order to remind the audience that they asked for her opinion, Luce states that she did not offer to give the speech rather she says you asked for it, reminding the audience that her opinion and critique is exactly what they requested. The repetition of the nature of her speech allows Luce to confirm that her audience is clear about her intentions with the speech that she is about to give. As Luce continues her speech she softens her audience for the criticism by praising their careers and their writings. Yet, she continues to provide warnings by retelling them that they are an ... The Golden Age opened the doors for an interesting read where adults are not present. The literature that was intended for children during this period introduced a world of literature in which children were the protagonist. These stories not only take children on remarkable journeys though time but they also address many issues of social class in regards to children. The Golden Age reflects greatly the Victorian era where children were left to become orphans because their parents could not support them financially or because their parents just did not want them. These stories often times take children out of the real world and take them to a world that is full of magic and freedom. These stories were meant to help put a stop to excessive child labor. The Golden age wanted to give children freedom to explore what was once forbidden. These books make the impossible now possible for its child reader. These books bring to life all the words and pictures and allow children to expand their minds. The Golden Age was a period where the middle class was on the rise. Before this period the middle class was not able to buy any literature because they were made to be very expensive so that only the upper class could afford the literature Until the Golden Age children of the middle and lower class were not seen as worth of getting any form of education even if they tried to educate themselves by reading a book. However, once the introduction of the Golden Age the upper class was no longer the only people who had access to children literature. The advancement of technology and different media forms helped allow for the development of cheaper books to be produced so that everyone could possibly afford them and all children would have the opportunity to read literature that was uplifting. The book contained information that marijuana was a good remedy for earaches, and this treatment was used throughout Europe for about 1500 years. Recently scientists discovered a body of a woman who died of childbirth 1600 years ago. Close to the body, a burnt substance was found and with later investigation the substance was determined to be marijuana. Scientists concluded that marijuana was used to ease labor pains (Abel 33). • 8. The Importance Of Advertising In Advertising Advertising and marketing have existed long ago in time, but most likely in a different form unfamiliar to us. Many years ago, sellers advertised by posting on the windows of shops, providing free samples of food, and eventually by posting in newspapers and radio (O Barr, 2005). An intriguing historic fact is that advertising was used to convince people to journey to the New World in the 1800s (O Barr, 2005). Nowadays, with increased exposure to media through television, cell phones, computers, and other electronic devices, marketing has become more advanced and ubiquitous. According to the documentary, advertisements have consistently carried the standard of indoctrination, or promotion. The documentary describes that there used to be a limited and cheap marketing culture for children in the 1900s. After deregulation in the 1980s, the trend of promotion or indoctrination had drastically grown throughout time as marketers found better ways to popularize their products, services, and values. In 2006, the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil implemented a law to prohibit public, outdoor advertisements. Soon after, thousands of advertisements on highways, billboards, public transportation, and buildings were removed, thus exposing the authenticity and natural essence of the city. Many local businesses opposed this law and felt it would ruin their chance of garnering sales and consumers (Goodson, 2012). Since the Puritans would have no possessions to spend time on, they had more time to spend with one another, and thus depend on one another. Through spending time with one another, the Puritans would build bonds and friendships that are much better than any material possessions they could own. Through these points, Winthrop encourages the Puritans to not become weary about their lack of wealth, but instead see their poor souls as opportunities for God to work in their life. Winthrop was aware that as the Puritans headed to the new world, they would have to be completely reliant on one another. Winthrop encourages the Puritans to love their neighbors as themselves. The new science s success in making clear the natural world through Locke, Berkeley, and Hume affected the efforts of philosophy in two ways. The first is by locating the basis of human knowledge in the human mind and its encounter with the physical world. Second is by directing philosophy s attention to an analysis of the mind that was capable of such cognitive success. According to Berkley s analysis all human experience is phenomenal, limited to appearances in the mind. One s perception of nature is one s mental experience of nature, making all sense data objects for the mind and not representations of material substances. In effect while Locke had reduced all mental contents to an ultimate basis in sensation, Berkeley now further reduced all sense data to mental contents. The distinction, by Locke, between qualities that belong to the mind and qualities that belong to matter could not be sustained. Berkeley sought to overcome the contemporary tendency toward atheistic Materialism which he felt arose without just cause with modern science. The empiricist correctly aims that all knowledge rests on experience. In the end, however, Berkeley pointed out that experience is nothing more than experience. All representations, mentally, of supposed substances, materially, are as a final result ideas in the mind presuming that the existence of a material world external to the mind as an unwarranted assumption. • 25. Description Of A Flight Recorder 1. Introduction It is very difficult, when an accident occurs during a flight to determine precisely what happened for several reasons:  Most of the time, during a flight, an aircraft is not in an environment where people cannot testimony what they saw (over water, high in the sky ...)  When the aircraft crashes, it is often in an area difficult to access (open sea, on a mountain, ...)  When the aircraft is ready to be examined, after being recovered from a difficult crash area or after a potential fire has been extinguished, the pieces are frequently severely damaged. To be able to retrace what happened during the last moments of the flight of the aircraft, before an accident or incident, a flight recorder has been developed. The information collected by this flight recorder can help the investigation teams to understand what happened even when the aircraft is badly damaged or even impossible to use to find answers. But developing a flight recorder is not simple precisely because it has to withstand a severe accident. When an extreme fire starts after a crash for example, the flight recorder has to stay in good conditions until it is recovered by someone on the crash site. Therefore, regulations, certifications and standards have been made to ensure that this element in the aircraft has all the required properties. Nowadays, the flight recorder has an increasing role to play in investigations of accidents because of the number of passengers that can be carried on a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 27. Hate Exposed in Babi Yar Essay Hate Exposed in Babi Yar Babi Yar, a poem written by Yevgeny Yevtushenko, tells the story of the Nazi invasion into a small part of Russia, in which, throughout the duration of World War II, over one hundred thousand Jews, Gypsies and Russian POW s were brutally murdered. However, what is unique about this particular perspective is that the narrator is not a Jew, but a mere observer who is aghast at the atrocities that took place during the Holocaust. It is through allusions, as well as other literary devices, that Yevtushenko elucidates caustically the absurdities of the hatred that caused the Holocaust, in addition to the narrator s identification with the Jews and their history of oppression. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Perhaps even more of a travesty, however, is the fact that humankind has not learned from the past in light of the fact that this episode is merely one link in a long chain of terrors. Yevtushenko goes on to allude to Anne Frank, a young Jewish teenager who left behind a diary of her thoughts and dreams, and how the Nazis strip her of any potential future she has when she is murdered in the death camps. Clearly, the allusion creates images in the mind of the reader that mere descriptions via the use of words could not. Another effective literary device used in the poem is the first person narrative in which the narrator identifies with those victims which he describes. This is seen in the case where the narrator says I am Dreyfus , or Anne Frank, I am she. The narrator does not claim to understand what the feelings and thoughts of these people are, but rather, he is acknowledging the fact that they are feeling, detested and denounced and that unlike the rest of the world who turned its head, or the Russians who actually abetted such heinous crimes, this gentile narrator can not empathize, but does sympathize with his Jewish brethren. Another extremely powerful device used by Yevtushenko is the detail of description and imagery used to describe events and feelings that are in both those whom he identifies with, as well as ... • 28. Essay Comparing The Marriage Of Figaro And Twelfth Night A common discussion between the sexes is the omnipotent power that men seem to hold over women in all societies. Why do men always have the social advantage over women? Both Shakespeare s Twelfth Night and Beaumarchais The Marriage of Figaro show that there is indeed a social stigma placed on women where women are not allowed as much freedom to either fight back against a suitor or choose not to accept a suitor s love and choose another. Shakespeare s Twelfth Night focuses mainly on the negative stigmas against women, while Beaumarchais The Marriage of Figaro places most of the blame for perpetuating the stigmas on the aristocracy, especially the men within the aristocracy (i.e. the Count). Both texts examine the social role women play in society, and both texts critique the societal norms that restrict women. To begin, in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Towards the beginning, Suzanne expresses her dislike of the positioning of her and Figaro s bedroom. She is afraid that the Count will somehow distract Figaro enough for him to lie with her. The fact that she even considers this a possibility reveals a great problem: in her position as a servant of the aristocracy and as a young woman, Suzanne is likely to fall prey to powerful men, just because they have power over her. The Countess, too, is in a similar position, although she is of the aristocracy. The Countess is held strictly accountable for the rumors that she was engaging in an affair, even though the Count himself is attempting to engage in his own affair with Suzanne. The Count accuses the Countess of unfaithfulness and doesn t even consider that his own attempt at an affair is an account of his own unfaithfulness. Suzanne also encounters this issue when the Count uncovers Cherubin, and Cherubin is discovered in her room: You wanted to be alone so you could receive my page, eh? (Beaumarchais ... The Continual Rise Of Online Bingo Blog 14 The continual rise of online bingo If I asked you to think about what image summarises bingo, odds are you would immediately think of the smoke filled bingo halls of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. For going on 50 years bingo was a game housed locally and operated on a low level within small communities. But as time ticked on, the game would evolve, especially when the invention known as the Internet would come into play. Transforming this once community housed game into a true global event, online bingo now dominates the web as far as gambling is concerned. Before you sit down to dab on a digital ticket or claim a no deposit bingo offer, it is worth taking a look back at what has brought the game this far. The following address the ... It seemed that as new and exciting casino games were popularised, bingo would fade in to the background, with only the loyalists continuing to play. By the 1960s bingo had become a game well known for its mature audience, which sadly hampered its progress in the decades to come. In the 1990s the world as we know it would change, the Internet would arrive and introduce the era of the information age. The ushering in of this new era would not only change the way people behave, but it would shake the foundations of the bingo industry. Taking bingo out of land based halls and putting it online, during the 2000s online bingo would gain serious momentum thanks to free bing offers. Millions would migrate to the new format, as its benefits became immediately clear to the world. The reason why it has become so popular is because it represented the evolution of the game. Those who chose to play online were now no longer limited by a small selection of games, as all the world s variants became within arms reach at new bingo sites. Not only that, it allowed players to buy tickets from the comfort of their own home, something that was certainly once thought impossible. Keeping faithful to the social roots of the game, players can still interact with other players as usual, but now it can be done without running the risk of missing any numbers at the best bingo sites. However, these effects could also be the reasoning for conformity throughout the nation and her graphic novel. Satrapi uses symbols such as veiling, her rebellious actions as a teen and culture to show originality. Veiling could of meant various things to women in Iran in the 1970s, some would say Satrapi does not show any significance to the veils and only uses them to show the cultural aspect of women. In fact, many women protested to make sure that they had the freedom to veil as they were influenced by modernized Islam by doing so. In 1979, veiling was seen as a major symbol for anti imperialism of the Islamic Revolution going on (Jelodar). Although the government was requiring women to wear veils, many were already doing it on their own to show what they stood for. Satrapi and her mother were a few of Iranian women who felt strongly about veiling they resisted as much as possible, but if women were being killed and sent to prison for not being properly veiled; that could be a reason for why there was so many women willing to conform and veil himself. Nonvalue added activities do not add value to the goods or services. 1 4. Differential costs are important for managerial decision making, but other cost data can provide management with additional important information. For example, inventory values and costs of goods sold are important for income tax and financial reporting purposes as well as for most bonus and cost plus contracting purposes. Costs for performance evaluation are not necessarily differential costs. Companies try to recover all costs, hence some estimate of total costs is needed. (This could be an opportunity to discuss short run and long run costs with students, noting that in the long run, all costs must be covered.) The play took place at the Sponberg Theatre. My reflective essay is about my experience with this play and comparing it with things I have experienced in life so far. Throughout the many different aspects of life, such as, school, family, friends and etc. Although it was for the younger audience there were some points throughout, that made a lot of sense to the more adult crowd. When I first heard the play I figured it was obviously centered around the title, but I was hoping for a little more to it.
