This document summarizes a study that aims to evaluate the intelligibility of pre-intermediate English students according to native English teachers, non-native English teachers, and native English speakers who are not teachers. The study will use a qualitative descriptive approach and analyze survey results quantitatively. It hypothesizes that non-native teachers will be more tolerant than native teachers and native non-teachers in evaluating students' intelligibility. Variables that could impact intelligibility include mother tongue, teacher nativeness, and cultural, social, and economic factors.
