The Integrated Primary School named after Maria Dąbrowska in Tarnów was built in 1964 and named after a famous Polish writer and children's rights advocate. In 1999, the school began accepting all students regardless of physical or mental conditions and created its first integration class, becoming a fully integrated school by 2003 with the motto "School without barriers." Since 2002, the school has had an active "Young Europeans' Club" where students meet after lessons to learn about European countries and the European Union through dance, cuisine, and an annual competition held on Europe Day to test knowledge of the EU among Tarnów schools.
