InTechnology provides a range of cloud services including networking, hosting, data storage and telephony delivered across a single network. The document summarizes three case studies highlighting how InTechnology's cloud services have:
1) Provided a stable, secure network for a multi-site retail business to rapidly expand and integrate acquisitions.
2) Ensured business continuity for a law firm through secure off-site data backup and management of increasing data volumes.
3) Given a business lobbying organization joined-up communications capacity across the UK to focus on strategy.

Consistent and co-ordinated data protection procedures can be difficult to implement for businesses with multiple locations or remote/mobile workers. Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery issues are difficult to address, not to mention the security and data integrity concerns.
Grupo Banco Popular, Spain's largest banking group, operates many branch locations served by a PC-based network that could be affected by heavy
network traffic. With 1E’s Nomad EnterpriseTM, the bank’s cost-effective network now provides a highly efficient software deployment system for distributing, updating and managing software, with high levels of reliability and security.
Having secure and consistent connectivity allows Ultra-Connected companies to offer services across a wider footprint and a greater breadth of portfolio. For this reason, more large enterprises are turning to Comcast Business for advanced network services. With one of the nation’s largest IP

The enterprise network is the strong, rugged backbone of every modern business. but the complexities of convergence, the drive for extra capacity & capability and the pressure on cost control demand a new standard of network provision – from a new breed of provider.
InTechnology is defined as much by how we do things as by what we do. We don’t simply throw technology at a problem: We collaborate with users
to understand the issues, grasp the context and devise the most appropriate solution. We deliver what we promise. We won’t disappear but will
stick around for the duration. If there’s a problem we’ll get it fixed. If there’s a challenge we’ll rise to it. If you want more, we give you more. If you want less, we scale back. Honesty, accountability and responsiveness are everything.
The provision of infrastructure as a service (iaas) is one of the fastest growing areas of it & communications, with businesses across the uK facing the challenge of ‘doing more with less’.
The adoption of managed storage and servers in particular is helping organisations address the multiple challenges of reducing it spend; ensuring 99.99% application availability; enabling ‘on-demand’ capacity; consolidating server and storage infrastructure and reducing carbon footprint.
Cloud based delivery models are increasingly seen as a ‘must’ when it comes to data delivery and storage. intechnology’s purpose-built £100m infrastructure is optimised to support and drive that trend.
To businesses everywhere, a phone system is like the air we breathe. We need it to survive and yet we take it for granted. For many businesses running legacy telephone systems that’s as far as it goes. It works, so why change it? However, that age-old split between desktop client /server computing on one hand and traditional voice communication on the other is being challenged by the fast-changing tide of voice and data convergence.
InTechnology’s three state-of-the art data centres provide highly secure, geographically dispersed computing environments with 24 hour A/C power; UPS with emergency generator backup; computer monitored climate control for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC); fire detection & suppression and multi-layer security.
InTechnology is a Telecommunications Service Provider with a 25 year proven track record. We have our own £100m infrastructure including a next generation fibre network, state-of-the-art data centres and a 24/365 manned Network Operations Centre. We manage complex voice estates for some of the UK’s largest businesses and, critically, have supported their evolution from traditional architecture to the new era of IP telephony and cost-effective Cloud based delivery models.

Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.

I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. InTechnology’s CLOUD SERVICES…
RETAIL NETWORKING – Vp plc
Multi-site operations and the integration of new acquisitions in a retail environment both bring their own particular IT
challenges, not least when an organisation’s set-up extends to remote areas. This was the situation facing an equipment
rental business with six divisions. Operating in diverse markets, rapid expansion had led to the opening of more than 40 new
sites in two years. The IT challenge ranged from assimilating acquisitions with their own IT suppliers to the need to manage
increasing data volumes to backup. What is more, acquisitions at short notice needed immediate connectivity so new
branches could be up and trading on their first day.
By far the best option to ensure the integrity and security of the company’s infrastructure (said our client!) was our Managed
Hosting, Network and Data Backup Services, available company-wide via a link into our services cloud – around 130 remote
sites linked by an InTechnology provided and managed VPN.
Key benefits:
• A stable, secure network, resulting in more
productive sites.
• Extra capacity as and when needed, allowing
for rapid business expansion.
• IT support under one umbrella with
one helpline number, 24x7x365.

distributor focuses on data storage, network security, enterprise software and
virtualisation solutions. It’s a fast growing business, employing over 270 people in offices
across three UK locations, and now part of a global group.
With expansion, office moves and acquisitions all on the agenda, in a business that places high
usage and reliance on the company’s phone system, any sort of outage could be disastrous. In addition,
increasing amounts of critical data were in need of safe and secure storage to meet tough regulatory
requirements for the protection of digital assets. Being in the IT business, DNS Arrow certainly knew what they
were talking about and, having considered their options, concluded that InTechnology was the only service provider to combine
network, data and telephony across a single network infrastructure.
Key benefits:
• Scalability, meaning extra capacity is available as
and when it is needed.

…CAN SAVE YOU SIGNIFICANT COSTS WHILE IMPROVING YOUR EFFICIENCY.
DON’T JUST TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT. LET OUR CUSTOMERS DO THE TALKING.
GOING PUBLIC ON VOICE AND DATA
When the UK’s top business lobbying organisation needed a service partner who would free them up from IT concerns to focus
all their efforts on strategy and performance, they turned to InTechnology’s Managed Services Cloud. Straddling public and
private sectors and working with governments, legislators and policy makers, the CBI needed joined up communications capacity
for its offices and operational teams throughout the UK.
Managing this critical IT environment demands the input of a diverse and skilled workforce at each location. A global presence
makes secure access to data 24/7 a prerequisite and efficient and cost-effective voice communications a must. Our client found
the answer to this voice, data and costs conundrum in our cloud services.
InTechnology’s solution was a comprehensive package of IT and telecommunications services for the disparate workforce –
managed, centralised and delivered under a single agreement that secures an IT infrastructure for today and provides a
cost-effective, scalable platform for the future.
Key benefits:
• Fast access to securely stored and replicated corporate data and information.
• Centralised management and deployment of all IT needs and resources.
• Direct cost saving from an integrated voice and data network.
