 Respect and Trust
◦ Treat others with respect, and they will trust you
◦ Maintain that trust to retain that respect
 Stay Professional
 Establish Credibility
 Understand Others’ Point of View
 Be your best in every situation
 The way you act reflects on your character
 Learn to deal with situations in an appropriate
way
◦ Describe the perceived problem as briefly as possible
◦ Disengage your emotions, give objective, relevant facts
(use examples)
◦ List all possible reasons and causes
◦ What do you want the end outcome to be
◦ Write down risks and benefits of each solution
◦ Choose the most appropriate solution
◦ Identify who, what, where, when, and how
◦ Evaluate and learn from mistakes
 Be sincere
 Be truthful and upfront with others – it goes a
long way to gain another person’s respect
and trust
 Act with integrity – being consistent based on
your values
 Be trustworthy – say what you will do, and do
what you say you will do
