Our tradition of conducting morning assembly in
Kendriya Vidyalayas is not forgotten during this online
mode. Assembly programme is conducted every day in
the first session by all the teachers.
A sample of how children of 4 ‘C ‘class have presented
news in the assembly programme is compiled once in 10
days or fortnightly.
Here is the sample of the innovative practice in primary
classes of Kendriya Vidyalaya Anna Nagar.

Using GeoGebra in primary classes
Multidisciplinary approach
KVS CHENNAI REGION
KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA ANNA NAGAR, CHENNAI
Use of Geogebra and Quizzes app in Online teaching Geogebra is an app used for
teaching Mathematics at Primary level for many concepts in a very effective and
innovative way. It drags the attention of all the children. Link of the concept used
can be posted in the shat box/Google Classroom to practice at their own place.
Quizzes app is also very effective for online assessment and for immediate
feedback.
There's no limit to learning and the multidisciplinary educational approach mentioned in
the NEP 2020 is the correct step taken towards promoting the same! Multidisciplinary
education is a unique educational approach that allows the students to learn & explore
distinct subjects from various disciplines.
To reap advantages of this approach, it is used in our classes when the concept/ topic is
suitable for it. In this video, Class 2, English lesson is taken with this approach. Disciplines
visited through this English lesson are Mathematics, EVS, Hindi, Art, games and work
experience, Value addition is also done.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING AND INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH
Topic: PROJECTILE MOTION
Interdisciplinary learning in science is characterized as a perspective that integrates two or more disciplines into coherent connections
to enable students to make relevant connections and generate meaningful associations.
Understanding how projectile motion works is very beneficial in determining how to best propel an object. For the javelin throw, being
able to calculate the different variables helps the athlete to develop a better technique for them personally in order to throw the
longest distance. Often from looking at the projectile motion of an object, faults in other phases of the technique can be identified.
The initial velocity of the javelin for example can be used as an indication of the amount of momentum created during the preparatory
phase of the action. Often a low initial velocity is a result of a loss of momentum during this phase and so the technique needs to be
altered hence improving the initial velocity. This is the same for other sports such as shot put, basketball, a throw-in in soccer and

It drags the attention of all the children. Link of the concept used can be posted in the shat box/Google Classroom to practice at their own place. Quizzes app is also very effective for online assessment and for immediate feedback. There's no limit to learning and the multidisciplinary educational approach mentioned in the NEP 2020 is the correct step taken towards promoting the same! Multidisciplinary education is a unique educational approach that allows the students to learn & explore distinct subjects from various disciplines. To reap advantages of this approach, it is used in our classes when the concept/ topic is suitable for it. In this video, Class 2, English lesson is taken with this approach. Disciplines visited through this English lesson are Mathematics, EVS, Hindi, Art, games and work experience, Value addition is also done. Link: Link:

  • 23. KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA SANGATHAN, CHENNAI REGION. Innovative practices in online classrooms SUBJECT : PHYSICS Class: 11 B KV MINAMBAKKAM EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING AND INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH Topic: PROJECTILE MOTION Interdisciplinary learning in science is characterized as a perspective that integrates two or more disciplines into coherent connections to enable students to make relevant connections and generate meaningful associations. Understanding how projectile motion works is very beneficial in determining how to best propel an object. For the javelin throw, being able to calculate the different variables helps the athlete to develop a better technique for them personally in order to throw the longest distance. Often from looking at the projectile motion of an object, faults in other phases of the technique can be identified. The initial velocity of the javelin for example can be used as an indication of the amount of momentum created during the preparatory phase of the action. Often a low initial velocity is a result of a loss of momentum during this phase and so the technique needs to be altered hence improving the initial velocity. This is the same for other sports such as shot put, basketball, a throw-in in soccer and Video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZjRK0h0aZha6bQn30E1NvViP-fpqB-02/view?usp=sharing Learning Outcomes: Students will be able to understand the concept of Projectile motion. gain an in-depth knowledge of the topic by visualizing different examples of Projectile motion distinguish between Projectile and non Projectile motion and appreciate the correlation between Physics and Sports.
