Introduction to AI for Nonprofits with Tapp NetworkTechSoup
Dive into the world of AI! Experts Jon Hill and Tareq Monaur will guide you through AI's role in enhancing nonprofit websites and basic marketing strategies, making it easy to understand and apply.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2. Trailer – Idea 1
For the trailer I could possibly use a voice over, giving an insight into the main
theme/plot of the film.
I would also use a variety of different shot types (LS,MS,CU) in order to
create ambiguity, again ensuring that the plot is not entirely revealed.
I will also use low lighting, a dark/mysterious soundtrack and shots of
violence and use props in order to convey genre and mood.
I will use a build up of shots and music getting faster and more intense, in a
montage style, until finally revealing the title at the end.
The first idea would be to create a ‘gangster’ style crime film, similar to films
such as Legend and Gangster Squad. However, I understand that the budget
needed is not available to create a film set in the past, so I would have to set
my trailer in a modern era.
3. Trailer - Idea 2
The second idea is similar to the first in terms of how the
film will be structured in a montage style, however I could
use a more modern urban style theme by using
underclass characters, similar to films such as Ill Manors
and Kidulthood.
Again I would be using a variety of shot types in order to
convey genre and the intense feel I want to create. Again,
I would use a dark and mysterious soundtrack also to
convey the genre.
4. Trailer – Idea 3
A third idea could be a narrative trailer, conveying the
story through a series of longer shots from the film.
Possibly, using an actual segment from the film.
I could again use the ‘Gangster’ style format however,
using a longer narrative based trailer that focuses on
conveying the plot of the film.
I could also even combine this narrative with some shorter
shots to create ambiguity and to further convey genre,
creating a good contrast between violence and non-
violence and through the short shots and longer length
shots.
5. Advert
I have not chosen to do an advert however, had I chosen this I would most likely have shot a food
advert, similar to that of Lurpak or M&S.
I would have used a variety of close ups and time lapses of food cooking, in particular a cake in an
oven or chicken being grilled.
I have not chosen to pursue the advert idea as I wanted to film something a little more challenging
and that interests me, giving me freedom to film on various locations in different styles, as it will
highlight my current skills and develop them further.
Pros
Could create a good advert in a small amount of time
If choosing a food advert you could use a range of shot types and could follow a similar
structure
Cons
Most likely in one location
Not very challenging
Would need a micro lens (possibly)
6. Music video
If I were to have chosen a music video I would have most likely used a mixture of a
story based plot, combined with shots of the band playing.
I however, chose not to do this text in particular as I do not wish to create a music
video, and the trailer option of the coursework seemed a lot more appealing to myself
for the reasons previously explained in the PowerPoint.
Pros
A music video would allow me to have more creativity in terms of idea and shots
It would give me freedom in terms of music choice
Cons
I would most likely need to film using a band – which would be hard to find
I would need to find a suitable location to film in and transport music equipment
also tat would be used in the video, which would be awkward to do
