As a film director, I have always been awestruck by the magic of animation. Animation, a medium once considered solely for the amusement of children, has undergone a significant transformation over the years. Its evolution from a rudimentary form of entertainment to a sophisticated form of storytelling has stirred my creativity and expanded my vision, offering limitless possibilities in the realm of cinematic storytelling.
3. Gangster/Mafia Season for a Movie Channel!
• Audience: Most likely men. Knowledgeable about films, will have
heard about and probably already seen at least some of these films.
• Set of season trailers (5x10secs) , one for each movie but all with
common elements: Station graphic and titles, (for example
‘Gangster Thusdays 10pm’)
4. Design Direction
• Dark shadowy backgrounds with white texts is used in the graphic
design of most gangster/mafia films, I will use a matching style of
visuals for my sequences
• I will use the same font for each sequence, a plain sans without
much visual meaning in itself (Meta, Frutiger etc) or a simple
serif (Minion Pro, Palatino)
• Each sequence to have a different ‘feel’ using visual a element from
each film, sound clips, objects, colours, music from the film. Using
a moving camera to pan around these
