1. As the theme of
skateboarding is
part of our music
video, a still photo
of a second actors
feed balancing on a
skateboard may be
used. We cannot
decide if this image
should officially be
still or in motion.
The angle we wish
to use will be a
close-up from the
side.
As this is a promotional
music video, we need to
feature our star’s identity.
For the back cover, we may
simply take a photo of the
back of her head as it will
match/follow the front
picture shown on the cover
of the album. The front of
her face will be used on the
front of the album cover,
the back of our actress will
cover the back of the album
cover.
The photo we took of the Camden underground sign
is a strong option for being used on the cover as it
reinforces the area we have set our music piece.
Our front cover is the most important aspect of the album
as it is the first thing seen by viewers. Like MIA’s single
cover, an image of herself is used to emphasis that she is
the artist, she also uses mise-en-scene to symbolise the
genre she uses. The promotional image must also do the
same, we are planning on doing a photoshoot to choose
the best image.
Graffiti is seen
throughout our piece
as we believe it
represents self
expression and the
freedom of youth. If we
use an image of street
art, this may interest a
wider audience
“Sometimes I think sittin’ on
trains, every stop I get to I’m
clocking that game”. Showing
trains will clearly reference this
lyric in the song.
