Ancillary Task 1
For this task we have to create a
digipak (CD Cover) for our music
video. As we are creating a love
song, we wish to follow the general
stereotype that the original singer,
Selena Gomez uses, a mid shot of
the singer on the front cover. This is
will portray to the audience that the
song is about the artists emotions,
and will represent a sense of reality,
as the singer is no different to any
other individual, they still experience
the same feelings when in a certain
situation.

When we take the photographs for our
Ancillary Tasks, we plan to use mid
shots of the actor. The reason for this is
that they enable the audience to view
the character in a good amount of
detail, whilst still focusing on their
emotions and feelings. Mid shots tend
to be used to view the artists facial
expressions in the context of their body
language, and it represents the artists
costumes, the style of make up they are
wearing, and their feelings, which gives
an insight to their music.

In regards to this Ancillary Task, we plan to take photographs
when we film our music video, which has been scheduled for
Monday 28th September. The reason for this is due to the fact
that our actor will be in the same clothes and hairstyle that she
needs to for the video, which will enhance the continuity of our
shots. Furthermore, the weather forecast is predicted to consist
of sunshine (18° C), which will improve the quality of the shots,
and it will save both our and the actors time.
