2. Music Video Ideas
After analysing three music videos I have created an idea for one of my own.
The song I have chosen is Sweet by Brockhampton, this song does have a music video for it already. After
watching the video and also analysing another on of Brockhampton’s videos I have used these as inspiration.
The lyrics of the song are about how the different members of the group have progressed from the ways
they used to be and about growing up which I have also taken into consideration.
Following the genre conventions of rap and hip-hop my music video will not have a storyline, instead it will
be made of scenes of characters who will be acting as members of the group rapping along to the music.
I will use different locations for each different character and these will relate to the lyrics of the song for
example a playground for children.
The costumes for the video would also reflect the music genre, for example loose fitting clothing and bold
jewellery.
3. Digipak Ideas
Looking at the previous digipaks produced by
Brockhampton synergy can be found, for example
both front covers of Saturation and Saturation ii
feature one of the members Ameer Van,
furthermore the colour scheme of both consists of
white and blue. The back of both albums both use
the same font for song names and feature a medium
close-up of Robert Ontinient, another one of the
members. As a whole the digipaks have a retro style,
and use bright colours on top of a white background
to reflect this.
4. My digipak
For the front cover of my digipak I will use a medium
close-up of one of the characters that will also feature
in the music video, therefore this will create synergy
between the two pieces. I will use a bold font for the
title Sweet which will be placed towards the bottom,
therefore it wont obscure the persons face.
For the back cover I will have a white background
with a photo of another one of the characters in the
music video placed towards the right. On top of this I
will have text including the song name and information
about the song.
For the CD I will use a gradient of the colours used on
the front and back covers, I will also use a bold font for
the name of the song which I will place at the bottom
of the CD.

5. Music Magazine Advert
For my music magazine advert, firstly I will use a
photo of the album front cover placed in the centre of
the page. This will put focus on the album cover, and
therefore people who see the advert will be likely to
remember what it looks like. Overall my advert is
simple with two pieces of text being placed at the top
and bottom of page, I have included buzzwords for
example the phrase ‘NEW SINGLE’, this will show
people that the song is new and current, therefore
could create interest. I have also included the name of
the album that the song features on as people may
want to listen to this first before purchasing the EP.
