This document provides instructions for individually assessing students' shape recognition abilities away from the rest of the class. The teacher should bring each student to their desk one at a time, point to shapes in a random order on a poster without answers, and have the student explain the name of each shape. The number of shapes named correctly out of six should be recorded, and incorrect shapes practiced until mastered. The purpose is to evaluate students privately and determine who needs help.

everybodyisat.
