This document outlines a lesson plan to teach kindergarten students (ages 5-6) about 2D and 3D shapes. Over the course of two weeks, students will learn to identify, describe, draw, and differentiate between various shapes (squares, circles, triangles, rectangles, hexagons, cubes, cones, cylinders, spheres) through hands-on activities, crafts, lessons on the SmartBoard, computer activities, and websites created by the teacher. The plan aims to teach students to recognize shapes regardless of orientation or size based on Ohio state standards for mathematics.
