GIVING A FACELIFT TO THE CHILDREN OF LESSER GOD

DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL AMRITSAR

Step1: FEEL

   Children of the lowest class are being ignored in everyway. They are
      treated so badly as if they are not human beings and mere objects
      without flesh or soul. There are no proper educational facilities for them
      no entertainment and the list is unlimited. They are pushed into child
      labour, drug trafficking and what not.
     To talk about this issue some students got together and pointed at some
      areas which are very sensitive and we need to be sensitized towards
      them.
     We had a talk with the principal, who shared her experiences with us and
      motivated all the students to work for a cause.
     Through this programme the hidden motive of our students is to adopt a
      school & provide it with its basic needs of sanitation, more airy and well
      lit classrooms and so many other things.
     A copy of our commitment to the Deputy Commissioner is being attached
      to this. Proposal.

Step 2: IMAGINE

      • Our school, Delhi Public School Amritsar, one of its kind in
        the city has pledged to take care of the school in the long
        run to improve its standard.
      • It has been decided not only to improve the infrastructure of
        that school but also to conduct workshops and refreshing
        courses for the teachers.
Step 3: DO

    • We formed a huge group comprising of about 35 students. We
      visited the adopted school and got touched by the pathetic
      condition of the students who come to receive education. This
      group was later divided into three major groups with five
      members each.
    • Regular meetings were conducted.
    • Each group was assigned a different task of collecting
      financial resources, clothes and stationery.
    • All of us really showed our deep concern towards these
      students and we started to work on their needs.

  Step 4: SHARE

   • Sending our story on power point presentation.
   • Complete form.
   • Sending our submission by email as well as courier.

  • 1. GIVING A FACELIFT TO THE CHILDREN OF LESSER GOD DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL AMRITSAR Team 1: Siya Sharma, Poopam, Shahbaz Waraich, Abhishekh, Imaan. Team 2: Shivam, Ekjot Kaur, Supreet Kaur, Uday Pratap Singh, Kanwar Ajay. Team 3: Paramdeep Singh, Abhay, Sanimar, Shristhi, Jasleen Kaur. Mentor Teacher: Ms. Lilly Gill Step1: FEEL  Children of the lowest class are being ignored in everyway. They are treated so badly as if they are not human beings and mere objects without flesh or soul. There are no proper educational facilities for them no entertainment and the list is unlimited. They are pushed into child labour, drug trafficking and what not.  To talk about this issue some students got together and pointed at some areas which are very sensitive and we need to be sensitized towards them.  We had a talk with the principal, who shared her experiences with us and motivated all the students to work for a cause.  Through this programme the hidden motive of our students is to adopt a school & provide it with its basic needs of sanitation, more airy and well lit classrooms and so many other things.  A copy of our commitment to the Deputy Commissioner is being attached to this. Proposal. Step 2: IMAGINE • Our school, Delhi Public School Amritsar, one of its kind in the city has pledged to take care of the school in the long run to improve its standard. • It has been decided not only to improve the infrastructure of that school but also to conduct workshops and refreshing courses for the teachers.
  • 2. Step 3: DO • We formed a huge group comprising of about 35 students. We visited the adopted school and got touched by the pathetic condition of the students who come to receive education. This group was later divided into three major groups with five members each. • Regular meetings were conducted. • Each group was assigned a different task of collecting financial resources, clothes and stationery. • All of us really showed our deep concern towards these students and we started to work on their needs. Step 4: SHARE • Sending our story on power point presentation. • Complete form. • Sending our submission by email as well as courier.
