information vital to providing quality patient care.

An Integrated Management System (IMS) integrates all of an organization’s systems and
processes in to one complete framework, enabling an organization to work as a single unit with
unified objectives.
In my opinion Integrated management is needed in health care information system. because
1.With the advent of personal copmuter and recent emergents like hand held devices , the health
care and information technology came very close to eachother
2.for reimbursement , the integrated management is very useful, as the hims will have all
thedetails of the patients, medicines, bills etc.
3. with the integrated system, a patient will get the best services irrespective of the hospitals, as
his details i.e. the case history is availabe , no matter whcih hospital he visits. This became
possible because of integrated management systems..
