In todays lesson we took screenshots while using Photoshop to show how we made our music magazine front cover.
Task 10

- 2. First I opened the original pictures Then I copied this to paint and cropped each picture After I cropped each picture I save it as a JPEG file so it could use it in inDesign
- 3. First I opened InDesign and clicked create new document Before clicking ‘OK’ I have to unclick ‘Facing Pages’ and ensure my orientation is landscape
- 4. Before placing my images I used the original ancillary as a template to place my images To place the images I used the rectangle framing tool (when used it comes up as blue crossing lines) Then I go to ‘file’ then to ‘place’ to insert which image I want After the image is placed, I right click my mouse, then clicked ‘arrange’ then send the image to the back
- 5. In order to create the colour boxes, I used the rectangle tool After tracing the shape of the box, I used the eyedropper tool to copy the colour of the original box and I repeated this step for each box This is what my spread looked like after doing each box
- 6. To create textboxes, I used the textbox tool to trace the shape of each box so I can add my own text I removed the background template so I could add my own text After adding my text, to adjust the text I used the ‘colour’ tab and the ‘character’ tab. In the ‘character’ tab I changed the font size and changed the line spacing
- 7. To create the heading I used the text box tool I used the text box tool again to create the ’10’ heading then repeated the process of adjusting the font and size To edit the heading I then used ‘character to change the font and size of the text To get the exact colour of the font from the original double spread I used the eyedropper tool
- 8. To change my double spread into a pdf first I go to ‘export’ Then before saving my file, I change my file to ‘adobe pdf’
