Increase elaborated input
In order for students to become more
familiarise with language and figure
out when to use the certain phrases
- Giving simple instructions in Korean
(Stand up, Sit down, Be quiet etc)
- Singing Korean children song
(Students started to sing along few words)
C u r r e n t l y
| TYPE TITLE HERE M E N U 1 | M E N U 2 | M E N U 3 | M E N U 4
Increase elaborated input
- At first, students were confused
and found it hard to follow
- At the end, students successfully
made the origami
- They were able to recognise some
of the words/phrase without
teaching them the meaning
- Now, students use the
words/phrase in the same accent
as mine in correct situations
- For example, “Give it to me please”
- “Please be quiet” “Look at me”
- They asked few times for me to
speak/explain in English
* Used only Korean when making
an origami Hanbok
[korean traditional dress]

prepare fun activities
In order for students to enjoy learning
and feel comfortable using the
language during the lesson
- Arts and craft activities related to the topic
(Korean flag, traditional dress etc)
- Playing Korean traditional games
(Je Gi Cha GI, Gang Gang Sul Lae etc)
- Deliever Korean traditional stories
C u r r e n t l y
| TYPE TITLE HERE M E N U 1 | M E N U 2 | M E N U 3 | M E N U 4prepare fun activities
- Making a carnation flower for Parent’s day (8th of May in Korea)
- Students were asked to write a simple letter to their parents on
flower’s leaves (Mum, Dad I love you / thank you etc)
E x a m p l e
| TYPE TITLE HERE M E N U 1 | M E N U 2 | M E N U 3 | M E N U 4
- Students love doing arts & craft, games or listening to Korean
traditional stories however the lessons may end up with a lot of
mess & loud noises
- Sometimes, it is a bit burden for me to prepare good activities for
each lesson.
- Students had fun playing the game and wanted to come up and play
with me in front of the class even though they were not sure about
counting in Korean. This shows that they are not afraid of making
mistakes and know that they are in a safe learning environment.
* Played a ‘thumb game’
to practice counting 1 to 10

Prepare 2 years lesson plan
