This document presents a hybrid optimization approach that combines Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Bacterial Foraging Behavior (BFB) to optimize PID controller parameters for various control systems. The proposed BFB-PSO algorithm demonstrates improved performance in minimizing peak overshoot and steady-state error compared to conventional PSO. Results from simulations indicate that the hybrid approach yields better time responses and optimized PID values for different transfer function models.
