 Group Discussion
 General Discussion
PHASE I : INTRODUCTORY PHASE
Activity (General Discussion)
After the usual class procedures teacher starts the class by narrating two situation
containing the official conversation between General manager and sales manager, then a
the sales manager conduct marketing executive for the purpose of conducting marketing
executives review meeting. And showing another video between sales executive to

Concept to be consolidated (PPT)
Communication mainly two types :
PHASE II: DEVELOPMENTAL STAGE
Activity I : (General Discussion)
General discussion through presentation of one pictures, which shows two types of
communication network.
Students are actively participated in the group
discussion.

on that each group member discusses that nature and flow of communication. And also
give any name suit for those communication networks according to its shape.
Teacher analyzes the points of each group. Based on the activity, the learner arrives at
a conclusion that the formal communication has various type of network pattern.
Concept to be consolidated
COMMUNICATION NETWORK
1.Wheel Pattern
2.Y pattern
3,Chain Pattern
4.Circle Pattern
5.All Channel Pattern
Activity 3: (Group Discussion)
Teacher divides the class in to five groups and asks each group create an informal
network pattern according to already explained situation in the video. Based on that each
group member discusses that nature and flow of communication.

discussion.
PHASE III : CONCLUDING ACTIVITY

its graphical representation.
Review Questions
 What you mean by formal communication?
 What you mean by wheel pattern communication network, and how it is flow?
 What you mean by informal communication?
Follow up Activity
Teacher said the students prepare note on formal and informal communication in an
organization and also shows the graphical representation of communication network with
example for each pattern.
Students answer to the questions correctly
