FUNCTIONS OF THE THREE MAIN ADMINISTRATION GROUPS IN SCHOOLS
1. Administration Head
 This refers to the school principal
 As an administration head, a school principal should have basic skills of using ICTs in administrative
and management tasks.
 They need to get training in the use of ICTs so as to be better equipped and efficient users of ICTs
 They serve as role models to their staff and other teachers and as such should
encourage other teachers to use ICTs effectively
 They also need to provide their staff with ICT training so as to enable them to be
competent in the use of ICTs.
 Principals also use ICTs to communicate with the staff, parents and other stake
holders
2.Administration Teachers
 These are the teachers who, despite their teaching activities, also have
administration responsibilities
 It is important for these learners to undergo training so that they can become
competent administrators utilizing ICTs
 They follow the leadership of the administration head
 They use ICTs to prepare timetables, schedules, reports, etc.
 They can also use ICTs to set up online tests that can be graded quickly and save
time.
3. Administration Staff
 Administration staff uses ICTs for many reasons in their dat-to-day activities
 ICTs are essential as they enable the administration staff to complete their daily
responsibilities faster and more accurate.
 They also use them to handle financial work, maintain communication, keep
records, collect data and process documents
