This document provides an overview of the key considerations for principals regarding technology vision and network infrastructure. It discusses the importance of having a long-term technology vision focused on creating 21st century learning environments. It also outlines essential network components and best practices for infrastructure, including servers, switches, firewalls/routers, wireless access, client devices, operating systems, bandwidth, backups, and inventory systems. Effective IT support is emphasized as critical to realizing the technology vision.
These are the class preparation sheets for my EDP 370: Applied Child Development Course. This course is taught as a 'hacked' course. Lectures are prerecorded for students to listen to at home, we complete activities in-class. The culminating project is the Children's Thinking Project (adapted from Penelope Oldfather & West, 1999). Thus, we integrated a series of interviews from American Public Media: Dick Gordon's The Story radio program into the pedagogy for students to develop their interviewing skills.
Powerpoint showing the information Web 2.0 has to offer, and the help it provides in schools and with students. As well as what it will provide in the future.

If you find yourself wondering how a virtual classroom works, why you’d need a VLE, or who on earth is Moodle, fear not. We’ve rounded up the most commonly-used names, abbreviations and phrases in ICT - and described them all in a simple guide, A Novice's Guide To e-Learning.
In this Webinar, presented by Jared Dees, Adolescent Catechetical Specialist at Ave Maria Press, you will learn elearning teaching strategies for to use with e-textbooks. Teachers will find this advice very useful in this digital age.
My keynote presentation to the AADES conference in Melbourne 2013.
Abstract: What does learning look like in a world that is increasingly networked? How can we harness the ever-increasing range of online technologies to support effective learning? What are the implications for teachers, for students, and for the wider community? And what are the implications for distance education providers as the boundaries blur between them and traditional face-to-face providers?
In this keynote address Derek will explore current trends in education and how these are re-shaping how we think about schooling, teaching and the role of learners. He will provide insights into how we need to respond these questions in order to meet the challenges of learning in a networked world.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.
