cost of glycerol, making it an attractive sustainable feed stock for the fuel and
chemical Industry. The conversion of glycerol may be carried out by both chemical
as well as biological means. Many microorganisms are known to convert glycerol to
value added products. This study involved the isolation of bacteria from soil sample
obtained from biodiesel information and Demonstration centre, Gulbarga
University, Gulbarga. The isolated strain was Klebsiella Pneumoniae and is
designated as GNTEW 13. As the K.Pneumoniae strain is the known producer of
1,3 PDO, is an important component of fuel and polyesters (used widely in the
petroleum industry) using crude glycerol for producing 1,3 PDO is a good solution
from an economic as well as ecological point of view.

I m a college student on a typical college student s budget, and I moved into my
apartment about a year ago. Let me tell you this, I just now decorated my room.
Yes, I spent an entire year staring at stark white walls, with nothing but last years
calendar and my celebrity crush of the moment hanging o the wall beside my bed.
There s nothing inviting about an undecorated room, in fact it s sort of depressing,
and I wouldn t recommend it to anyone. No matter what your budget, decorating is
important and can be done. Here s how I gave my room a personal touch for less
than $100. Like most people the first thing I thought of to decorate my walls with
were pictures. Little did I know how expensive pictures could be. I first looked for
framed pictures at discount retailers like Target, figuring I could get a good deal.
Wrong. Even their smaller pictures cost about $30, and while that isn t really
expensive, it was just a tad bit more than I wanted to spend on one item. I did come
across a rather small rectangular picture for $10 in the sale bin at Rite Aid, and a
matching pillar candle for the same price at Kmart, but those items ended up in my
bathroom so they don t count towards the total for my room. The point is, however,
that we can t discriminate against those really cheap shops. To find good pictures
for a really low price I recommend going to unexpected places, such as Rite Aid.

One of my fondest moments growing up, besides curling up in my mothers arms
as she cuddled me, was watching reruns of Tom Jerry. Some parents would
question my mother s choice of letting me watch such a violent cartoon at the
tender age of three since it displayed a lot of unforgivingly violent moments such
as: how many chokes and gags Tom performed on Jerry and vice versa. It is a tough
question to answer, as is the question of whether Tom and Jerry was considered

then: parents have much more power on regulating what their children see on TV

it is odd that in a culture with such a strong sense of duty and honor for their
ancestors that as their father was dying they were planning on how to divide up and
sell the land; the land that had given them so much, and the same that had put them
through school and fed and clothed them and was the only thing to remain when they
had nothing else? This was something Wang Lung could not communicate with his
sons. They seemed to think that their wealth would go far beyond the ground from
which it came. Maybe they could not remember the months they spent in the hut, or
when they had no choice but to eat gruel made from the soil. They did not know
how fleeting wealth was as their father had learned earlier in life. Wang Lung
himself was not exempt from these same sins as seen in his sons, however.
Throughout his life he had two constant forces working within him, not unlike the
traditional concept of yin and yang. Yin and yang is believed to be in everything and
is the essence of all naturally occurring things. They are opposite but cannot exist
without each other, so the struggle is to find the perfect balance. Like with Wang

Satire In The Miller s Tale Essay
The Miller s Tale is, in my opinion, the most humorous of the tales that Chaucer
wrote, primarily because of the plot line. The crazy antics of the four characters
Alison, John, Nicholas and Absalom create a sort of timeless humor, a basic comedy
that brings laughter to everyone. Chaucer also uses satire and irony throughout the
tale to portray the ridiculousness of the men and woman. Often times in the story, the
audience knows more than the characters do so lots of anticipation is built for the
funny moments. Chaucer s plot, writing style, and literary elements he uses create a
comical tale. One of the major elements that Chaucer uses in The Miller s Tale is
satire. He uses satire against both John and Absalom. John is a carpenter who has...
Nicholas and Alison deceive John and tell him that there is a flood coming, so
John sets up a crazy contraption with tubs on the roof in order to protect him and
his wife. Knowing that there is no flood and that John is acting so paranoid for
nothing makes the story even funnier, and Chaucer uses this element of dramatic
irony again when Absalom is taking measures to get his revenge. His revenge is
supposed to be brought upon Alison, but despite his intentions, it is Nicholas who
feels the burn of revenge figuratively and literally. Absalom burns Nicholas s
behind when it is stuck out of the window with the expectation of having it kissed.
Absalom had come to Alison s window to ask for a kiss, and Nicholas and her
decided that it would be hilarious to stick Alison s bottom out instead. So, Absalom
kissed Alison s butt and after realizing that it was not her lips, was furious. His
description of the kiss and realization is hilarious! He mentions a beard and a third
eye is referred to, so you can imagine the gross but amusing situation. He came back
again later with a hot iron, and Nicholas decided to stick out his butt this time.

Understanding The Ghost In Hamlet
In the play Hamlet, written by William Shakespeare, Hamlet is approached by the
ghost of his recently passed father, the King of Denmark, and tells that he has been
killed by his brother, and the new king, Claudius. He asks Hamlet to avenge his death
by killing Claudius. Hamlet contemplates his options and eventually becomes
adamant in his mission to murder Claudius. In Act III, Scene II, Hamletorganizes a
play that re enacts the death of his father and believes that if it was Claudius who
murdered the King, he will surely react to the scene. When the scene unfolds,
Claudius gets upset and leaves. After, Hamlet confronts his mother and hears

Murphy, he presents the purpose of the Ghost to the plot, and also explores
Shakespeare s intent for the Ghost, as well as different religious associations that
have been made with the Ghost. He then delves into the argument of whether the
Ghost is speaking to Hamlet in return from Hell or from purgatory. He uses Lewes
Lavater s Of Ghosts and Spirits Walking By Night (1572) to understand the Ghost
and how Shakespeare may have used his text to form the Ghost specifically
between the Catholic and Protestant argument points, and also between good and
evil. Murphy argues that, based upon Lavater s guide, we can gain a greater
understand of Hamlet once we have a greater understanding of the Ghost. Lavater
writes that there are specific points that make a ghost good or evil, and Murphy uses
them to prove that the Ghost in Hamlet is neither decidedly good nor evil. He
believes that Shakespeare may have done this on purpose. Murphy also uses Lavater
s writings to prove that Hamlet was sane when seeing the Ghost, because others in
the play had seen the apparition as well, and spoke about it (Murphy). Murphy uses
examples from writings by Stephen Greenblatt, who also formed the school of
thought known as new historicism. New historicism aims to understand intellectual
history through literature and is also heavily influenced by Foucault. Murphy uses
this critical school of thought to understand the Ghost in Hamlet via the history and
relation to Lavater s writing. My argument is that although this literary text holds
great knowledge in further understanding the Ghost in Hamlet, the relationship with
Hamlet s parents before the King s death influences many of Hamlet s decisions

Ministry Reflection Paper
When you first begin a class you never know what to expect. When I first began
Intro to Ministry, I did not know the level of insight that I would have about myself
and about the character of God. I have been able to combine the things that have
happened in my past and things that are happening now to try to paint God s
picture in my life to come. Although you do not need to pinpoint the exact moment
in time when you received your call for it to be legible, I am thankful that I do. I
think it was a series of people and events unfolding in my life and God opened my
eyes to the plans He had for me that lead me to that night. The day that I accepted
my calling to be a youth pastor (December 30,2015) I did not go into that evening
thinking I m going to listen to God and go into Ministrybut I guess you never do.
Since then God has been preparing me emotionally, physically, and mentally through
programs that I have gone through, people in my life such as my friends, family, and
professors I have gotten to know during the short time that I have been at Indiana
Wesleyan. I am nowhere close to being where I want to be but that is the beauty of
accepting God s call into any type of ministry, you do not have to have it all figured
out, you just have to trust Him. God is a God of infinite variety, and His call comes
