Microsoft vs. Foss
Microsoft s Foss Patent Infringement
Holly Stark
ITT Technical IT 302
Abstract This paper takes an in depth look at the claims from Microsoft that FOSS (Free and Open
Source Software) committed patent infringement in 2006. It also discusses how the events have
impacted FOSS, whether negatively or positively and how the actions have changed both since 2006.
Microsoft s Foss Patent Infringement
Free software is wonderful and corporate America seems to love it. It s often high quality stuff that
can be downloaded free off the Internet and then copied at will. It s versatile it can be customized to
perform almost any large scale computing task and best of all its crash resistant. More than half the
companies in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition, the software makers struck a deal on patents designed to give customers peace of mind
about using Novell s open source products. This partnership made Novell the only company in the
industry that was able to provide the customer not only with the code to run Linux, but also with a
patent covenant from Microsoft. (Evers, Joris 2006) Some thought that it showed that Microsoft was
kind of being forced to see Linux as a significant competitor and the FOSS model as a viable business
model. (Upfold, Peter 2006) My personal opinion is that this was an attack on the open source
community. Microsoft hasn t actually changed its tune; it s still actively attacking free software and
trying to abolish GNU/Linux while promoting Windows and other proprietary software as though they
are complementary to free software, which they are not. It s PR nonsense and Microsoft is good at PR.
Since then, Novell was sold in 2010 to Attachmate Corp. and a concurrent sale of certain intellectual
property assets was sold to CPTN Holdings LLC, a consortium of technology companies organized by
Microsoft Corporation. It plays right into the hands of Microsoft s PR campaign, which strives for a
fusion where Microsoft controls both sides of the competition and then derails the side which is less
favorable to Microsoft. Microsoft has done that over and over again for many years and victims
include giants like IBM and Apple.

Violence In Nightcrawler
How does Nightcrawler represent issues within media? Focusing on the film Nightcrawler directed by
Dan Gilroy. The genre, which can be described as a recognizable type of movie, characterized by
certain pre established conventions ( Giannetti, L., Leach, J. 2010 page 413). In the case of
Nightcrawler it is a thriller, crime and drama. This essay will focus on how media creates certain
issues within today s society, this will be discussed by looking into the positives and negatives with
media along with Freudianism and scopophillia. Firstly before looking into the positives and negatives

Lou Bloom is clearly displayed as a narcissistic sociopath as he not necessarily get sexual pleasure

microscope always being watched, as things once private have become open to the public gaze of
many (Ericson, R., Haggerty, K. 2006, January 1). We as the audience are also the victims of being
watched. For example within the film there was another news cast who was in competition with Lou,
he ended up getting into an accident and Lou was the one filming him. One of the film techniques
which Lou used whilst filming this victim was placing the camera directly above the his head using a
high angle, allowing the audience to look down at this character showing his current vulnerability at
this time and how he was helpless against Lou who was putting him under the microscope, this being

Asian Americans And Hispanic Americans
Categories, groupings, assumptions, classification; it s like society is built to expand yet isolate, to be
authentic yet alike. We form assumptions which turn into the ordinary or the norm. If one person is a
certain way then surely everyone like them is like that also. Two of the many cultures and ethnicities
we have placed stereotypes amongst are the Asian Americans and Latino Americans. We have placed
assumptions about who they are which only perpetuates the classification and, essentially, the
isolation. Have you ever heard the phrase, oh, is he Asian? That s why they act like that, they all do.
What a way of making a, perhaps, false assumption and classifying one person into a group of
millions of people. Asian Americans have long been depicted as brainiacs in contemporary media. We
see them as technologically advanced and extremely intelligent. When I was in high school, it was the
Asian kids that you wanted to sit next to and the ones you wanted in your group because they always
had the right answer. We see them as taking on the medicinal or engineering careers. Although many
do hold positions in these job categories, we have to know that not all Asian Americans align their
lives to society s classification. Furthermore, not only are they positively portrayed in the media; they
are also given negative stigmas. They are thought of as terrible drivers. I have seen countless movies
where the reckless and careless driver is assumed to be Asian American. This

Machiavelli Characteristics
Machiavelli lived in Italy, in the 1400 s. Italy was divided into city states and every state had its own
leader, but everyone also was ruled under a king. Machiavelli wrote this book, The Prince, in order to
help a leader how to lead. It was very important at that time that a leader was strong in order to
develop and move forward with his rule and empire. Machiavelli created this theory in order to help
these leaders control their society powerfully. He tries to represent the perfect leader and his ways on
how to rule. Machiavelli thinks mainly that man by his nature is evil. That s why people only pursue
their own self interest. That s why a ruler should be feared than loved according to Machiavelli.
I think that Machiavelli s idea seems really appropriate under describing how a ruler should be/rule his
society. His land is always in danger of invasion from other ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

New principalities are principalities that have just been created and it is not hereditary, the ruler will
start to build himself from scratch, and wanting to be the ruler and finally accomplishing his goal
makes him fall under the new principality. Mixed principalities are principalities that they have started
for a long time, but the leadership does not pass from father to son. Finally is the heredity principal,
which is the principality that a ruler inherits from father to son. Machiavelli stated on how to rule the
different principalities and what challenges going to happen to the ruler in each case. The hereditary
leaders have an easier time than new princes because the people are already used to their hereditary
leaders, accept their power, and they have an idea already on how they rule. However a new prince has
to work hard to be accepted by his people because like I said before he has to show his skills and

Snowoe Mountain Research Paper
In my opinion, nothing can beat carving down the mountain on a snowboard. Just being able to glide
down the mountain is simply amazing to me, and that is why I love it so much. My family has a condo
at Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia, and I try to make it up there just about every weekend in the
winter time. Other than resorts way up north in states like Vermont, Snowshoe is one of the best in the
east coast. Although I do believe that Snowshoe is great, if you haven t been out west to ski, then you
haven t really been skiing. For years I have just gotten to hear stories of how awesome the mountains
and snow were in the west. I never imagined that I would have the opportunity to go out and see it for
myself until my friend invited me Breckenridge, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Anyone who knows how good a mountain s conditions could get after just a few inches can only
imagine what the two feet was like. The thing that I thought was best out there was being able to go
wherever. They had trails that were through the woods, and through unmarked terrain. My friend and I
got in some snow that was about three feet deep. We eventually got stuck in it and had to try our best
to crawl out of the deep snow. To me that was a good problem to have. What I thought was so crazy
was how quick the lines were. Since Snowshoe is one of the best around there are so many people and
the lines can get very long, but there is so much competition out west everyone goes to different
places and the lines were not bad at all. Going out west is something that everyone who loves to ski
should do in their lifetime. Not even just for the skiing but for the experience of being out there. Being
able to see more snow than you have ever seen, looking up at the mountains, and then staring down it
as you start to descend down thirteen thousand feet of greatness. This year for winter break I went out
to Utah and had just as great of a time. I am lucky enough to have had the experience of being out
there and it is something that I believe everyone deserves to have the chance to do as

A Progressive Tax System
At the beginning of the year tax season rolls in and millions of people rush to prepare their previous
year s financial statements and documents, ready to calculate their tax returns and credits. Currently,
thirty four states use progressive income tax systems, and seven states utilize flat tax systems. The
remaining nine states either have no income tax or a limited income tax on individuals, taxing only
dividend and interest incomes (i.e. AK, FL, NV, SD, TX, WA, WY, NH, TN) (Bell). A progressive tax
system is most commonly referred to as a tiered income tax that shifts more of the revenue burden
onto the wealthy. Taxation has been a part of human history since the beginning of structured society
and was also a controversial topic in the pre Constitutional Federalist Papers No. 33. In the article,
Alexander Hamilton explained that the phrasing of the Necessary and Proper clause served as a
parameter for the imminent creation of a federal bank. The Sixteenth Amendment to the United States
Constitution endowed the legislative branch the power to oversee and judge the creation of a taxation
system; however, if any abuse of those powers occurred, they would be annulled by the people. To this
day, our federal government imposes taxes on its citizens in order to properly run government
programs, build public amenities, pay off the national debt, and support the overall well being of the
nation. Because of the benefits of taxation, one would believe that more people would

Mary Shelley Constraints
In everything, there are constraints to what you can do in that subject. I am currently in a class that
studies how those constraints bring about the creativity in the world. I believe Mary Shelley is an
excellent example of how a beaucoup of restraints can lead to one of the best novels of all time,
Frankenstein. The most notable would be the time period she wrote it in, that she was a woman
pursuing any sort of career in that time period, and creating a new genre of book altogether.
Mary Shelley is thought to have a very tragic life. Mary Shelley was born August 30, 1797 to Mary
Wolstencraft Godwin and William Godwin and she had a sister named Fanny. About a week later, her
mother died due to ongoing fever (Mellor). About four years

Barbary Wars
Is it possible that the religious friction between Muslims and American Christians was caused by a
single historical event? If so, Thomas Kidd, the author of American Christians and Islam, points to the
Barbary wars as a critical dispute that may explain the modern global religious conflict. In his book,
Kidd addresses the global war between Christians and Muslims from the colonial period to the age of
terrorism. By tracing the role of Islam in the minds of American Christians, intimidation combined
with a lust for conversion is revealed. Kidd notes that during his research he found Western Christians
writings from the 19th century that stands in continuity with contemporary themes of Islam.

Kidd recognizes the most influential European literature over early America as Humphrey Prideaux s
The True Nature of Imposture Displayed in the Life of Mahomet. In Prideaux s piece, he proposes
Mohammad as a case study in religious fakery contrary to Christianity s authenticity. Prideaux argued
that Mohammad had created the scheme of Islam to gain rule over Arabia. Kidd notes that the impact
of Prideaux s assessment can still be seen today.
Although escalated after 9/11, suspicion of Muslims among American Christians unquestionably
existed before. Through exploring texts from the 19th century written for American Christians,
Thomas Kidd identifies the Barbary Wars as an instrumental incident leading to the same
stigmatization of Muslims that can be observed today. To break the cycle of religious discrimination in
America, it is necessary to understand the history of this dogmatic opposition and learn to live with
each other peacefully in our neoteric world community. It is of the utmost importance to stand up for

Comparing Stein, Wallace Stevens, And William Carlos Williams
Modernism was a time for experimentation in the 20th century. Gertrude Stein, Wallace Stevens, and
William Carlos Williams were just three of the influential poets of this literary period. They altered the
typical literature form. These three poets each presented objects differently in their works, varying in
syntax and diction. Whether they proposed these objects in abstract or specific in their writing, you
can see how Stein, Stevens, and Williams differed. Stein was vastly complex, Stevens created depth in
easier to understand terms, and Williams used colloquial language and was very specific. These three
poets were important to the modernist movement and it s easy to see how they bent the rules in the
form of poetry. Gertrude Stein s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While he was considered abstract as well, he favored the form of imagism. In his poems, he would
present direct and objective treatment of the objects. In his poem, Thirteen Ways of Looking at a
Blackbird, he gives multiple ways to discuss the bird. He uses simple language that is very pastoral in
its tone. Some of the reasons he gives in this poem are: Among twenty snowy mountains, / The only
moving thing/ Was the eye of the blackbird (1 3). Another is A man and a woman/ Are one. / A man
and a woman and a blackbird/ Are one (9 12). Even though Stevens diction can be considered abstract,
he presents his objects in a less confusing manner. It is odd to look at a blackbird in thirteen different
ways but all thirteen still make some sort of sense. Even though The river is moving. / The blackbird
must be flying, is able to be distinguished. The river is moving because the blackbird is flying. (48 49)
While the idea is abstract, it s easy to follow. His Anecdote of a Jar presents the universe from the
perspective of a jar. The jar is in Tennessee/ And round it was, upon a hill (3 4). He takes a visual turn
when describing his objects. His jar seems to be able to look around it and take dominion everywhere
(9). He treats objects without as much emotion as Stein. They re described in simpler terms (compared
to the confusion in Tender Buttons ) whilst using elegant text. He describes a guitar in The Man with
the Blue Guitar. His description of this object is distinguishable and yet the guitar is described as
Things as they are/ Are changed upon the blue guitar. His object presents new change and meaning.
Stevens uses specific terms when he s describing his objects. He s specific yet object in his
descriptions, especially in a Study of Two Pears. He uses very bland language in his poem, saying the
pears are composed of curves (6) and are yellow forms (5) that

Swot Analysis Of Risksense Inc. Essay
Introduction
Cybersecurity is defined as the state of being protected against the criminal or unauthorized use of
electronic data, or measures taken to achieve this. (Oxford Dictionaries) I researched, and found a lot
of new cybersecurity technology, but in this paper, I narrowed it down to four. All of these
technologies seem like they will have a huge impact on the cybersecurity field as a whole.
Cybersecurity is important because we would not have much of anything in cyberspace if nothing was
secure.

The first technology I found is called RiskSense. RiskSense Inc. a spin off of the New Mexico
Institute of Mining and Technology. They originally conducted research as a service projects. For the
U.S Department of Defense and U.S Intelligence Community, they made Computational Analysis of
Cyber Terrorism Against the U.S, or CACTUS. They also made Behavior Risk Analysis of Vicious
Executables, or BRAVE for short, and the Strike Team Program. RiskSense Inc. has invested a lot in
research, which lead to a variety of patents that are part of the RiskSense Platform s DNA. In order to
stay ahead of other cyber companies, they employ a large member of very talented security

Examples Of Parody In Dr Strangelove
Dr.Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb is a film about what could
happen if the wrong person pushed the button , It mocks Cold War fears of a nuclear battle between
the Soviet Union and the United States. Kubrick s intension for the movie is to deliver his viewpoint
on vague the American conflict with Russia. The whole point of the Cold War was to shock the
opposing country into submission by building a stronger nuclear powered program and intimidating
them by saying the Americans will put it to use. This fear is the base of Kubrick s film, and is included
when the President is eager to let one of the Air Force s bombers be ruined, killing its crew members,
to prevent Russia s Doomsday Machine from going off and sending the world into a nuclear winter.

The most perceptible case of this is through the choice of names for his characters. These characters
are all male, military characters whose names convey some sort of sexual innuendo or meaning with
them. One example of how he uses sexual parody is in the beginning of the movie, the opening credit
plays over film of a bomber aircraft being refueled in mid air during flight. The connection between
the two planes is the first symbols that connect sexuality to the military mentality that continues
reproduces war around the world. Another example is Ripper s Cigar that represents the world nuclear
destruction directly because of his sexual dysfunction, which he faults upon a conspiracy due to this
paranoia about socialists. The cigar is a traditional Freudian phallic representation and the limp quality
of Ripper s stogie represents the flaccid state of not just his sexuality, but also his mind. Kubrick
produces an anti war satire that covertly conveys the importance of sexual expression while
hilariously depicting the unimportance of war and destructiveness that ravaged the saneness of the

Comparing Leopold And Loeb s Life
Leopold and Loeb both came from very wealthy families and had remarkable academic records. At
eighteen years old Leopold had already obtained his bachelor s degree from the university of Chicago
and was attending law school at Chicago. Of the two, Leopold had a significantly higher IQ, far above
the regular scale. Although Leopold was brighter, he was relatively unattractive, awkward, and
socially ill at ease. Loeb on the other hand graduated from the University of Michigan at the age of
seventeen. Loeb was known for his magnetic charm and his inborn knack of making friends and
winning everyone s affection. He was well dressed, handsome and had a fascination with crime.
Between the two boys it appeared that Loeb was the leader and Leopold was his follower. A former
classmate of Leopold, Paula Fass, spoke on behalf of Leopold during a 1957 parole hearing and stated
Loeb was a leader, aggressive, crafty, smart. Leopold was definitely a follower. Loeb induced Leopold

The Apostle Paul And The New Testament
Writings of the Apostle Paul populate the canon of the New Testament. The rawness and earnestness
found within spring from the pages igniting a wonder in the reader of who Paul the Apostle was. Paul
went to great lengths to spread the name of Jesus and one cheers anxiously from the sideline waiting
to see if he ever gets the upper hand. Attacked, insulted, beaten, discredited, and victimized are just a
few adjectives that could describe daily life for Paul. He becomes a model of devotion and fervor to
continue the cause. Today, the same occurs in a less physical form. An abundance of scholarship of

Yet, it will suffice to say this simply does not get to the root of interpretation according to Wright and
he discredits both. he goes a step further by saying that at the center of Paul s writings is Jesus
(Wright, 11 25). It is that simple. Analysis of Paul s Jewish state of mind prior to his conversion is
important to note before one reaches Wright s conclusion. Paul, Saul of Tarsus at this point, was not
interested in a timeless system of salvation, whether of works righteousness or anything else. He
wanted God to redeem Israel (pp. 32). He, like other Jews, desired to see their God, Yahweh, finally
fulfilling his promise of raising all Jews to the new Israel, or new world. He was zealous for God, but
as one can see, he was zealous in the wrong manner. Following the story in Acts, Saul is drastically
converted on the road to Damascus. Paul claims to have seen Jesus in this drastic divine occurrence.
This is of utmost importance. Once Saul saw the resurrected Jesus it was not that he lost his Jewish
heritage, but there is now a cognitive understanding that God had done for Jesus of Nazareth, in the
middle of time, what Saul had thought he was going to do for Israel at the end of time (pp. 36). Thus,
there is a realization that Jesus was the intercessor for God s promise, the one who took on the curse of
Israel. The resurrection proves that the claims by Jesus followers were indeed right. Now it is

Executive Summary
Negotiable instruments are written orders or unconditional promises to pay a fixed sum of money on
demand or at a certain time. Promissory notes, bills of exchange, checks, drafts, and certificates of
deposit are all examples of negotiable instruments. Negotiable instruments may be transferred from
one person to another, who is known as a holder in due course. Upon transfer, also called negotiation
of the instrument, the holder in due course obtains full legal title to the instrument. Negotiable
instruments may be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For it to work, it is imperative that the instrument be easily transferable without danger of being
uncollectible.
TYPES OF NEGOTIABLE INSTRUMENTS: Negotiable instruments include two main types: an
order to pay (encompasses drafts and checks) and promises to pay(promissory notes and CD s). The
instruments can also be classified as demand instruments or time instruments. Thus there are four
types of negotiable instruments. Demand instrument: payable on demand. (demand= instrument states
it is payable on sight or demand to a holder) [a holder is the person in possession] A good example of
a demand arrangement is a checking account, sometimes called a demand deposit account.
1. DRAFTS AND CHECKS (ORDERS TO PAY)
Draft (or a bill of exchange): INVOLVES 3 PARTIES: An unconditional written order to pay by which
the party creating the draft (the drawer) orders another party (the drawee), typically a bank, to pay
money to a third party (the payee) e.g., a check.

Reflection Paper On Nursing Practice
Gibbs Reflective Model (1988) Reflection Relating to Care on Pressure Sore In Nursing Practice The
purpose of this assignment is to reflect on the aspect of my Adult Nursing Practice placement, and
study that was gained by me in my studies and the need of pressure sore care and management in
nursing practice. To reflect on my learning action, I am going to apply Gibbs (1988) Reflective Cycle
to highlight the need for nurses to provide holistic care. It will outline the basic aspects of clinical
nursing skills that have taken place in my placement. This will also highlight how it helped me to
enhance my knowledge and ethical values and learning the process in order to bring excellence and
safety of care. To reflect on my learning process, I am going to apply Gibbs reflective model which is
a renowned model in reflective practice. This model requires passing through six stages to complete
one reflective cycle. Gibbs (1988) reflective cycle can be seen as cyclical in nature which incorporates
six stages to enable me to continuously improve my learning from the event for better practice in the
future(Heitkemper, 2010). Description My practice placement area was a Spinal Ward for 8 weeks.
The ward, almost all service users are all age people who are prone to get pressure sores. During my
practice placement, I met Jack, who is 35 years old and has been admitted to the ward where my
patient journey started. His name has been changed to protect his identity and

The Murder And Robbery Of A Shoe Factory
In 1920, during the height of the Red Scare, a shoemaker, Nicola Sacco (1891 1927), and a fish
peddler, Bartolomeo Vanzetti (1888 1927), were accused of robbing and murdering the paymaster and
guard of a shoe company in South Braintree, Massachusetts. Known as anarchists and draft evaders,
the accused men faced a hostile judge and a public convinced of their guilt. Despite Sacco s
corroborated testimony that he was at the Italian consulate in Boston at the time of the murder, the two
were found guilty on the basis of witness identification and their suspicious behavior after the murder,
and were sentenced to death by Judge Webster Thayer. The trial of two Italian immigrants, Nicola
Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti, grasped the entire nation. Both men were accused of murder and
robbery of a shoe factory in Braintree, Massachusetts. They were both sentenced to death for the
robbery and murder even though there was insufficient evidence. Many people strongly disagreed with
the verdict as they believed the men were innocent and were prosecuted because of their politics.
On April 15th, 1920, in South Braintree, Massachusetts after a paymaster and a security guard who
were carrying $15,000 for a shoe company were shot and killed in cold blood by two men in a car.
The two men took the 15,000 and fled. The polices attention was directed towards Sacco and Vanzetti
as their prime suspects because Sacco had the same type of gun used in the killing and Sacco and
Vanzetti had been seen

Vodka, Cuisine And Culture By Linda Civitello
They say milk gives you strength. Drink three glasses and try moving a wall. You can t. Drink three
shots of vodka and it moves all by itself a simple and anonymous quote that describes the powerful
impact vodka has on an individual. Vodka s ability to greatly impact someone s behavior by
consuming a small amount provides reasoning on why it has become the most popular acholic drink in
the world. Although, the book, Cuisine and Culture by Linda Civitello, discussed a variety of topics
related to world cuisines, vodka was a common subject of discussion. For example, in the third course,
Civitello mentions vodka when discussing traditional foods and drinks in Russian and Polish cuisines.

Not to mention, a social event in 1425 that occurred was the church s decision to limit the brewing of
beer and support grain spirit production, which, would indicate the production of vodka. Regardless of
the date, the birth of vodka was found to be in Russia.
Soon after its birth, vodka would become a symbol for Russia. According to the Encyclopedia of
Russian History by Kate Transchel, vodka would become popular very quickly which, drew the
attention of the government. The government saw opportunity to increase revenues and quickly took
control of the production of vodka. In 1544, vodka was only sold and distilled in state owned and
regulated shops. Then the government continued to grow its power and created the Law Code of 1649
[which] extended state control to all the Russian provinces and established a monopoly over
production, distribution, and sale of spirits, from which the nobility were exempt (Transchel 1646).
Furthermore, the government s greed grew and they imposed a liquor tax in 1760. The amount of this
alcohol taxation was based on alcoholic strength and it would retain its place till 1863 (Madden). Then
in 1860, an exercise system was applied but, it did not work due to the difficulty to regulate the
system. The liquor tax was reinstated and the Monopoly was recreated. This tax and monopoly would
stay present until 1989. According to Transchel, the impact of this tax

the court sees it as a good reason for leaving the court would discharge them from being an apprentice,
which is another rule granted to them. Section 5 states that if anyone entices someone else s apprentice

Without a doubt there is a lot of violence on the news today, from mass shootings to murder almost

Free Will In C. S. Lewis Mere Christianity
I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him...
(Lewis 52). In Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis goes in to detail and discusses very controversial topic.
He answers one of the most disputed questions of all time: Who was Jesus? While many believe in His
existence, and the fact that He was who He said He was, some believe that he was just a great prophet
and teacher or that he never in fact existed. Lewis gives evidence of Christ being who He said he was,
and is today, by exposing flaws found in beliefs and theories contrary to the Bible. Simply mentioning
the name of Jesus can cause quite a commotion. It is quite mind boggling to see one man s name strike
a nerve somewhere so deep inside of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When humans were created, He instilled inside of us the concept of free will. In layman s terms, we
have been given the ability to choose. One can choose to believe in God, or in gods, or in nothing at
all. This free will is what ultimately allows us to have a relationship with God. Without free will, why
does God give us the opportunity to live and to choose Him?
God created things which had free will. That means creatures which can go wrong or right. Some
people think they can imagine a creature which was free but had no possibility of going wrong, but I
can t. If a thing is free to be good it s also free to be bad. And free will is what has made evil possible.
Why, then, did God give them free will? Because free will, though it makes evil possible, is also the
only thing that makes possible any love or goodness or joy worth having. (Lewis 47, 48) Whether you
believe Christ is a liar, a lunatic or Lord, you cannot say he was only a great moral teacher. If you
believe He is a liar, practice your free will and believe as you wish. If you believe He is a lunatic,
practice your free will and believe in the same manner. If you believe He is Lord, practice your free
will and believe it. But do not say He did not exist, or that He was just a great, moral teacher. I have
found otherwise. I know your deeds that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot.
So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. (Revelation

Since this would be a new capital investment, financial arguments against the proposal would be the
principal factor.
I believe the proposal to establish an assisted living center would be approved; however, the
arguments against an establishment of a new capital investment would be valid due to it would be a

In making the investment decision, it would be imperative to form a strategic plan, therefore the

Analysis Of The Film Leni Riefenstahl
Having directed and acted in many films, Leni Riefenstahl has become a major figure of the Nazi film
industry. Her most well known film Triumph of the Will (Triumph des Willens, 1935) is still
considered the greatest propaganda film of all time. While Riefenstahl claims that the film is a
documentary and based on history . Susan Sontag s response is that the film it is seen as a portrayal of
a fascist society. A Nazi propaganda tool and not necessarily intended as a fascist viewpoint. Sontag
reasons that the film techniques, and the relationship between Leni Riefenstahl and the Nazi
leadership as well as the consistent illustration of fascist themes found in the film establishes that
Triumph of the Will is fascist and intended to promote and preserve the Nazi ideology.
During the rise of power of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party s in the 1930 s, Leni Riefenstahl became a
household name as a film director, her claim to fame was putting a public face to Hitler. During this
time period, it was very rare for the public to know what their leader looked like, and with this film it
allowed many of the Germans to finally get to see who they elected into power. Hitler s goal was the
complete eradication of the Jewish peoples, in addition he wanted to spread his ideology and power
across Europe. In order to achieve this goal, Hitler needed the support of all of the German citizens.

Symbolism In Ernest Hemingway s A Farewell To Arms
World War I began with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. Ernest Hemingway
s novel, A Farewell to Arms, follows the life of the Italian Speaking, American Frederic Henry as he
joins the war on behalf of the Italians, is injured by a bombshell, and flees after his recovery. In his
most popular novel, A Farewell to Arms, Hemingway utilizes the motif of whorehouses, sporadic
syntax during Henry s rampant drunkenness, and understatement when Henry encounters death to
illustrate how war morally decays the ordinary man.
Throughout A Farewell to Arms, Hemingway exemplifies the purpose of whorehouses as a distraction
for the soldiers and the role of women in times of war. In the beginning, the motif of whorehouses is ...

By implementing a confusing syntax during Henry s inebriated state, Hemingway reveals how the war
affects the morality of Henry s mind. After his hospitalization from an explosion, Henry s friends
bring him alcohol as a get well present. Henry has a drink and argues about Rome with Rinaldi in his
drunken state: Roma is feminine, said Rinaldi. It cannot be the father. Who is the father, then, the Holy
Ghost? Don t blas pheme. I wasn t blaspheming, I was asking for information. You are drunk, baby.
Who made me drunk? I made you drunk because I love you and because America is in the war.
(Hemingway 71)
Through this ambiguous sentence structure, it is difficult to tell who says, comments, or argues with
who. By utilizing this perplexing syntax Hemingway shows how being drunk affects Henry s state of
mind. Henry is unable to tell right from wrong, or if the comment made is actually blasphemy or not.
Henry s mindstate is altered, as evident by Hemingway s use of muddled syntax, as a result of the
alcohol; in addition, Henry only got drunk because he was given alcohol after his injuries in the war.
Thus, the war morally decayed Henry s mind through alcohol to the point of not being able to discern
right from wrong. The war not only numbs Henry emotionally through alcohol but also through his
encounters with death. Hemingway s use of understatement when Henry encounters death reveals how
the war progressively deteriorated

Catcher In The Rye And Donnie Darko Analysis
Texts cannot exist outside their context; texts implicitly and explicitly embody the values of the
society of which they are written. Both The Catcher in the Rye and Donnie Darko depict the societal
norms of the period the texts were set in. However, Salinger s novel and Kelly s film both portray the
protagonist of their text to be classified an outsider; subverting norms and rebelling against those in
power. Catcher in the Rye, a bildungsroman masterpiece is set in the late 1940 s in America, and
consequently, focuses on the contextual ideology of the American Dream. Donnie Darko a sci.fi film
made in 2001 however, is set in a period of conservatism in America in the late 1980 s. Despite,
differing contexts, both pieces accurately explore the beneficial and dire implications associated with
transgressing social conventions.
Donnie Darko, the namesake of the film and his anti institutional behaviour provides insight into the
perils and prospects of going against society. Despite the film s release in 2001, Kelly placed the film
in 1988 to project his message on the family values agenda, a consequence of political oppression with
wide spread support for the conservatives. The main advocates behind this notion in the film are seen
to be Mrs Farmer and Cunningham, both of whom Darko viewed as forces of tyranny and solely
challenges. Donnie may have had a suburban upbringing, however, Donnie will have no part in
withholding traditional family values, where he is seen to take

Conceptions Of Justice
Many of the most important aspects of and decisions about social organization hinge on an individual
or society s conception of justice. Because this conception of justice has tremendous influence over
the way societies are structured, political theorists interested in understanding and improving society
place great importance on understanding and articulating the nature of justice. While most of the
political theorists we have read in class have proposed definitions of justice, none of them sufficiently
incorporate the many dimensions of justice while remaining specific enough to allow for relatively
consistent distinctions between the just and unjust. To balance these competing demands, I propose
that justice is the impartial ordering of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Aristotle articulates this view by saying that justice considers that those who are equal should have
assigned to them equal things, and that where people differ from one another there must be a
difference in what is just and proportionate to their merits. Recognizing that there are many different
respects in which people can be equal/unequal, he also stipulates that claims (to preferential treatment)
must be based on the elements which constitute the being of the city. To put this another way, Aristotle
believes that justice requires that distinctions made between people be made only on the basis of
relevant differences between them, and that the decisions of the polis to allocate resources unequally
must be made on the basis of differences relevant to the common interest of the

Global Automobile Industry in 2009
A thorough analysis of the external forces that shaped the global automotive industry in 2009 reveals
how the rivalry between established car makers set the stage for some to successfully survive the
global recession while others were forced to seek Chapter 11 bankruptcy. A closer consideration of the
impact of consolidation, demand and supply, fixed costs, product differentiation, and exit barriers on
rivalry within the industry reveals how new entrants and weaker competitors were able to take
advantage of environmental opportunities during the recession and gain profit shares. These
considerations illustrate the critical importance of analyzing the forces that shape competition in an
industry and how such an analysis serves as the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Consolidation As it relates to the competitive structure, or the number and size distribution of
companies within an industry, the automobile industry is considered a consolidated industry, where a
small number of large companies dominate and are able to set prices. Traditionally, in America, these
companies were called The Big Three, Chrysler, Ford, and GM, but Toyota, was also a major rival
during the recession. In consolidated industries, companies are interdependent, because one company
s competitive actions or moves (with regard to price, quality, and so on) directly affect the market
share of its rivals, and thus their profitability (Hill Jones, 2012, p. 62). The relative power of
consolidation on the automobile industry was high.
Demand and Supply A second point of consideration relating to the intensity of rivalry within the
industry was the level of industry demand. Demand declines when customers are leaving the
marketplace or each customer is buying less (Hill Jones, 2012, p. 62). This was the case in 2009 in
many developed nations due to the recession, which was marked by job loss, credit problems, and
high gas prices that increased the demand for fuel efficient vehicles or left consumers unable to
purchase vehicles altogether. At the same time, growth was expanding in China and some other
developing nations, which opened the doors for automobile companies in these countries to expand at

spiritual journey, I think I should start from the beginning.
I grew up in Shipshewana, a small town up north in Indiana. We lived in an insignificant
neighborhood, with a church at the end of the street. I only lived there until I was about 5 years old,
but I can recall many memories of growing up. My family never attended church together and the
most religious thing I can remember doing cohesively is visiting a nativity scene during Christmas in
town and I do not even believe we stayed for the entire thing. I was taught to believe in God, and to
accept all as my brothers and sisters. I used to be giddy over the idea that my friends were also my
brothers and sisters. The idea of faith was present but never addressed. I used to journey down the
road of my neighborhood by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
My faith and mental physical health started to become very important to me. I began to run, and
started mapping out the parks in Fort Wayne that I had ran. I started reading scripture every day, and
taking sacred time at USF seriously. I practiced mindfulness, and tried new things. This year so far has
been one filled with self discovery.
I know now what God means to me. I might not attend church every Sunday, but I invest time to
practice my faith. I see the holy spirit in acts of love all around me, and he is constantly in my life. I
try to dwell on the rules the bible has set. I think the gut feeling is a significant feeling that is guided
by God s hand. Even the small things like picking up apiece of trash, or apologizing when it is
difficult. He is in all the beauty of nature that I experience on my runs, or in all the good news I hear.
He is in the face of the people I love, and is the wheels to my vehicle to future

aluminum powder and metal oxide, they used this technique to weld railroad ... Show more content on

To My Dear And Loving Husband By Anne Bradstreet
In, To My Dear and Loving Husband, by Anne Bradstreet, we see that this poem is about a woman
that loves her husband. Love conquers all right? The overall tone of this work comes off as love.
Bradstreet shares many ways of her love with us and she wants us to know that her love is going to be
as strong when they are no more living on this earth. Anne Bradstreet expresses to the audience her
love for her husband in different tones. Throughout the poem, we see that Bradstreet is comparing her
love to water, and gold; but in the end is that enough? The tone of each excerpt affects the whole
message being given in, To My Dear and Loving Husband. Anne loves God, but she also loves her
husband. On line ten she says, The heavens reward thee manifold, ... Show more content on

We see all of these throughout the poem. The passion is shown when she is comparing their love to
gold. I prize thy love more than whole mines of gold, or all the riches that the East doth hold (226).
She thinks her love for her husband is worth more then all of the rivers, creeks, lakes, and gold in the
whole world. Their love could not fill oceans. Also in, If ever two were one, then surely we (226). She
needs his love and she can not live without it. The writer thinks they could be one. It is interesting that
a Puritan would write such a love poem. Puritans are supposing to have a relationship with God. I am
surprised that she is writing something with so much emotion in it. On line nine she states, Thy love is
such I can no way repay (226). She means that the love that her husband gives her is passionate and
emotional, that there is no way that she could ever repay him. She wants to share how great her and
her husbands chemistry is and that is endearing, because it is inspiring love. Another tone would be
from Nor ought but love from thee, give recompense, (226) she is adoring of her husband. The last
two lines of this poem expresses her endearing love. Then while we live, in love let s so persevere,
that when we live no more, we may live ever (226). If ever man were loved by wife, then thee

Microsoft vs. Foss Microsoft s Foss Patent Infringement Holly Stark ITT Technical IT 302 Abstract This paper takes an in depth look at the claims from Microsoft that FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) committed patent infringement in 2006. It also discusses how the events have impacted FOSS, whether negatively or positively and how the actions have changed both since 2006. Microsoft s Foss Patent Infringement Free software is wonderful and corporate America seems to love it. It s often high quality stuff that can be downloaded free off the Internet and then copied at will. It s versatile it can be customized to perform almost any large scale computing task and best of all its crash resistant. More than half the companies in the ... This partnership made Novell the only company in the industry that was able to provide the customer not only with the code to run Linux, but also with a patent covenant from Microsoft. (Evers, Joris 2006) Some thought that it showed that Microsoft was kind of being forced to see Linux as a significant competitor and the FOSS model as a viable business model. (Upfold, Peter 2006) My personal opinion is that this was an attack on the open source community. Microsoft hasn t actually changed its tune; it s still actively attacking free software and trying to abolish GNU/Linux while promoting Windows and other proprietary software as though they are complementary to free software, which they are not. It s PR nonsense and Microsoft is good at PR. Since then, Novell was sold in 2010 to Attachmate Corp. and a concurrent sale of certain intellectual property assets was sold to CPTN Holdings LLC, a consortium of technology companies organized by Microsoft Corporation. It plays right into the hands of Microsoft s PR campaign, which strives for a fusion where Microsoft controls both sides of the competition and then derails the side which is less favorable to Microsoft. Microsoft has done that over and over again for many years and victims include giants like IBM and Apple. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Asian Americans And Hispanic Americans Categories, groupings, assumptions, classification; it s like society is built to expand yet isolate, to be authentic yet alike. We form assumptions which turn into the ordinary or the norm. If one person is a certain way then surely everyone like them is like that also. Two of the many cultures and ethnicities we have placed stereotypes amongst are the Asian Americans and Latino Americans. We have placed assumptions about who they are which only perpetuates the classification and, essentially, the isolation. Have you ever heard the phrase, oh, is he Asian? That s why they act like that, they all do. What a way of making a, perhaps, false assumption and classifying one person into a group of millions of people. Asian Americans have long been depicted as brainiacs in contemporary media. We see them as technologically advanced and extremely intelligent. When I was in high school, it was the Asian kids that you wanted to sit next to and the ones you wanted in your group because they always had the right answer. We see them as taking on the medicinal or engineering careers. Although many do hold positions in these job categories, we have to know that not all Asian Americans align their lives to society s classification. Furthermore, not only are they positively portrayed in the media; they are also given negative stigmas. They are thought of as terrible drivers. I have seen countless movies where the reckless and careless driver is assumed to be Asian American. This ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Machiavelli wrote this book, The Prince, in order to help a leader how to lead. It was very important at that time that a leader was strong in order to develop and move forward with his rule and empire. Machiavelli created this theory in order to help these leaders control their society powerfully. He tries to represent the perfect leader and his ways on how to rule. Machiavelli thinks mainly that man by his nature is evil. That s why people only pursue their own self interest. That s why a ruler should be feared than loved according to Machiavelli. My family has a condo at Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia, and I try to make it up there just about every weekend in the winter time. Other than resorts way up north in states like Vermont, Snowshoe is one of the best in the east coast. Although I do believe that Snowshoe is great, if you haven t been out west to ski, then you haven t really been skiing. My friend and I got in some snow that was about three feet deep. We eventually got stuck in it and had to try our best to crawl out of the deep snow. To me that was a good problem to have. What I thought was so crazy was how quick the lines were. Since Snowshoe is one of the best around there are so many people and the lines can get very long, but there is so much competition out west everyone goes to different places and the lines were not bad at all. Going out west is something that everyone who loves to ski should do in their lifetime. Not even just for the skiing but for the experience of being out there. • 8. A Progressive Tax System At the beginning of the year tax season rolls in and millions of people rush to prepare their previous year s financial statements and documents, ready to calculate their tax returns and credits. Currently, thirty four states use progressive income tax systems, and seven states utilize flat tax systems. The remaining nine states either have no income tax or a limited income tax on individuals, taxing only dividend and interest incomes (i.e. AK, FL, NV, SD, TX, WA, WY, NH, TN) (Bell). A progressive tax system is most commonly referred to as a tiered income tax that shifts more of the revenue burden onto the wealthy. Taxation has been a part of human history since the beginning of structured society and was also a controversial topic in the pre Constitutional Federalist Papers No. 33. In the article, Alexander Hamilton explained that the phrasing of the Necessary and Proper clause served as a parameter for the imminent creation of a federal bank. The Sixteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution endowed the legislative branch the power to oversee and judge the creation of a taxation system; however, if any abuse of those powers occurred, they would be annulled by the people. To this day, our federal government imposes taxes on its citizens in order to properly run government programs, build public amenities, pay off the national debt, and support the overall well being of the nation. The most notable would be the time period she wrote it in, that she was a woman pursuing any sort of career in that time period, and creating a new genre of book altogether. By tracing the role of Islam in the minds of American Christians, intimidation combined with a lust for conversion is revealed. Kidd notes that during his research he found Western Christians writings from the 19th century that stands in continuity with contemporary themes of Islam. Kidd recognizes the most influential European literature over early America as Humphrey Prideaux s The True Nature of Imposture Displayed in the Life of Mahomet. In Prideaux s piece, he proposes Mohammad as a case study in religious fakery contrary to Christianity s authenticity. Prideaux argued that Mohammad had created the scheme of Islam to gain rule over Arabia. Kidd notes that the impact of Prideaux s assessment can still be seen today. Although escalated after 9/11, suspicion of Muslims among American Christians unquestionably existed before. Through exploring texts from the 19th century written for American Christians, Thomas Kidd identifies the Barbary Wars as an instrumental incident leading to the same stigmatization of Muslims that can be observed today. Gertrude Stein, Wallace Stevens, and William Carlos Williams were just three of the influential poets of this literary period. They altered the typical literature form. These three poets each presented objects differently in their works, varying in syntax and diction. Whether they proposed these objects in abstract or specific in their writing, you can see how Stein, Stevens, and Williams differed. Stein was vastly complex, Stevens created depth in easier to understand terms, and Williams used colloquial language and was very specific. Some of the reasons he gives in this poem are: Among twenty snowy mountains, / The only moving thing/ Was the eye of the blackbird (1 3). Another is A man and a woman/ Are one. / A man and a woman and a blackbird/ Are one (9 12). Even though Stevens diction can be considered abstract, he presents his objects in a less confusing manner. It is odd to look at a blackbird in thirteen different ways but all thirteen still make some sort of sense. Even though The river is moving. / The blackbird must be flying, is able to be distinguished. The river is moving because the blackbird is flying. He takes a visual turn when describing his objects. His jar seems to be able to look around it and take dominion everywhere (9). He treats objects without as much emotion as Stein. They re described in simpler terms (compared to the confusion in Tender Buttons ) whilst using elegant text. He describes a guitar in The Man with the Blue Guitar. His description of this object is distinguishable and yet the guitar is described as Things as they are/ Are changed upon the blue guitar. His object presents new change and meaning. It is that simple. Analysis of Paul s Jewish state of mind prior to his conversion is important to note before one reaches Wright s conclusion. Paul, Saul of Tarsus at this point, was not interested in a timeless system of salvation, whether of works righteousness or anything else. He wanted God to redeem Israel (pp. 32). He, like other Jews, desired to see their God, Yahweh, finally fulfilling his promise of raising all Jews to the new Israel, or new world. He was zealous for God, but as one can see, he was zealous in the wrong manner. Following the story in Acts, Saul is drastically converted on the road to Damascus. Paul claims to have seen Jesus in this drastic divine occurrence. This is of utmost importance. Once Saul saw the resurrected Jesus it was not that he lost his Jewish heritage, but there is now a cognitive understanding that God had done for Jesus of Nazareth, in the middle of time, what Saul had thought he was going to do for Israel at the end of time (pp. 36). • 35. Analysis Of The Film Leni Riefenstahl Having directed and acted in many films, Leni Riefenstahl has become a major figure of the Nazi film industry. Her most well known film Triumph of the Will (Triumph des Willens, 1935) is still considered the greatest propaganda film of all time. While Riefenstahl claims that the film is a documentary and based on history . Susan Sontag s response is that the film it is seen as a portrayal of a fascist society. A Nazi propaganda tool and not necessarily intended as a fascist viewpoint. Sontag reasons that the film techniques, and the relationship between Leni Riefenstahl and the Nazi leadership as well as the consistent illustration of fascist themes found in the film establishes that Triumph of the Will is fascist and intended to promote and preserve the Nazi ideology. During the rise of power of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party s in the 1930 s, Leni Riefenstahl became a household name as a film director, her claim to fame was putting a public face to Hitler. During this time period, it was very rare for the public to know what their leader looked like, and with this film it allowed many of the Germans to finally get to see who they elected into power. Hitler s goal was the complete eradication of the Jewish peoples, in addition he wanted to spread his ideology and power across Europe. • 36. Symbolism In Ernest Hemingway s A Farewell To Arms World War I began with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. Ernest Hemingway s novel, A Farewell to Arms, follows the life of the Italian Speaking, American Frederic Henry as he joins the war on behalf of the Italians, is injured by a bombshell, and flees after his recovery. In his most popular novel, A Farewell to Arms, Hemingway utilizes the motif of whorehouses, sporadic syntax during Henry s rampant drunkenness, and understatement when Henry encounters death to illustrate how war morally decays the ordinary man. Throughout A Farewell to Arms, Hemingway exemplifies the purpose of whorehouses as a distraction for the soldiers and the role of women in times of war. In the beginning, the motif of whorehouses is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By implementing a confusing syntax during Henry s inebriated state, Hemingway reveals how the war affects the morality of Henry s mind. After his hospitalization from an explosion, Henry s friends bring him alcohol as a get well present. Henry has a drink and argues about Rome with Rinaldi in his drunken state: Roma is feminine, said Rinaldi. It cannot be the father. Who is the father, then, the Holy Ghost? Don t blas pheme. I wasn t blaspheming, I was asking for information. You are drunk, baby. Who made me drunk? I made you drunk because I love you and because America is in the war. (Hemingway 71) Through this ambiguous sentence structure, it is difficult to tell who says, comments, or argues with who. By utilizing this perplexing syntax Hemingway shows how being drunk affects Henry s state of mind. Henry is unable to tell right from wrong, or if the comment made is actually blasphemy or not. Henry s mindstate is altered, as evident by Hemingway s use of muddled syntax, as a result of the alcohol; in addition, Henry only got drunk because he was given alcohol after his injuries in the war. Thus, the war morally decayed Henry s mind through alcohol to the point of not being able to discern right from wrong. The war not only numbs Henry emotionally through alcohol but also through his encounters with death. • 37. Catcher In The Rye And Donnie Darko Analysis Texts cannot exist outside their context; texts implicitly and explicitly embody the values of the society of which they are written. Both The Catcher in the Rye and Donnie Darko depict the societal norms of the period the texts were set in. However, Salinger s novel and Kelly s film both portray the protagonist of their text to be classified an outsider; subverting norms and rebelling against those in power. Catcher in the Rye, a bildungsroman masterpiece is set in the late 1940 s in America, and consequently, focuses on the contextual ideology of the American Dream. Donnie Darko a sci.fi film made in 2001 however, is set in a period of conservatism in America in the late 1980 s. Despite, differing contexts, both pieces accurately explore the beneficial and dire implications associated with transgressing social conventions. Donnie Darko, the namesake of the film and his anti institutional behaviour provides insight into the perils and prospects of going against society. Despite the film s release in 2001, Kelly placed the film in 1988 to project his message on the family values agenda, a consequence of political oppression with wide spread support for the conservatives. The main advocates behind this notion in the film are seen to be Mrs Farmer and Cunningham, both of whom Darko viewed as forces of tyranny and solely challenges. • 38. Conceptions Of Justice Many of the most important aspects of and decisions about social organization hinge on an individual or society s conception of justice. Because this conception of justice has tremendous influence over the way societies are structured, political theorists interested in understanding and improving society place great importance on understanding and articulating the nature of justice. While most of the political theorists we have read in class have proposed definitions of justice, none of them sufficiently incorporate the many dimensions of justice while remaining specific enough to allow for relatively consistent distinctions between the just and unjust. To balance these competing demands, I propose that justice is the impartial ordering of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Global Automobile Industry in 2009 A thorough analysis of the external forces that shaped the global automotive industry in 2009 reveals how the rivalry between established car makers set the stage for some to successfully survive the global recession while others were forced to seek Chapter 11 bankruptcy. A closer consideration of the impact of consolidation, demand and supply, fixed costs, product differentiation, and exit barriers on rivalry within the industry reveals how new entrants and weaker competitors were able to take advantage of environmental opportunities during the recession and gain profit shares. These considerations illustrate the critical importance of analyzing the forces that shape competition in an industry and how such an analysis serves as the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Consolidation As it relates to the competitive structure, or the number and size distribution of companies within an industry, the automobile industry is considered a consolidated industry, where a small number of large companies dominate and are able to set prices. Traditionally, in America, these companies were called The Big Three, Chrysler, Ford, and GM, but Toyota, was also a major rival during the recession. In consolidated industries, companies are interdependent, because one company s competitive actions or moves (with regard to price, quality, and so on) directly affect the market share of its rivals, and thus their profitability (Hill Jones, 2012, p. 62). The relative power of consolidation on the automobile industry was high. Demand and Supply A second point of consideration relating to the intensity of rivalry within the industry was the level of industry demand. Demand declines when customers are leaving the marketplace or each customer is buying less (Hill Jones, 2012, p. 62). This was the case in 2009 in many developed nations due to the recession, which was marked by job loss, credit problems, and high gas prices that increased the demand for fuel efficient vehicles or left consumers unable to purchase vehicles altogether. At the same time, growth was expanding in China and some other developing nations, which opened the doors for automobile companies in these countries to expand at home and ... A generalized sense of my faith could be summed up as doing what I think and feel to be right. To address my spiritual journey, I think I should start from the beginning. I grew up in Shipshewana, a small town up north in Indiana. We lived in an insignificant neighborhood, with a church at the end of the street. I only lived there until I was about 5 years old, but I can recall many memories of growing up. My family never attended church together and the most religious thing I can remember doing cohesively is visiting a nativity scene during Christmas in town and I do not even believe we stayed for the entire thing.
