Abstract
This study investigated data regarding criminal offenses categorized as hate crimes
that are motivated, in whole or in part, by the offender s bias against a race, religion,
sexual orientation, ethnicity/national origin, or disability and are committed against
persons, property, or society , (Hall 2013) with a speculative focus upon the
psychological typology of the offender. Findings yield five major categories of the
offender: thrill seeking, reactive/defensive, retaliatory, mission, and bias peripheral
/mixed (Freilich 2013). The study yielded that individuals who commit hate crimes
are not diagnostically mentally ill, but they do share characteristics of high levels of
aggression and antisocial behavior, with childhood histories of parental or caretaker
abuse, and use of violence to solve family problems. Findings are considered in terms
of clinical intervention and risk assessment practices with hate crime offenders using
a chi squared test for nominal (categorical) data to determine whether an
association between two categorical variables in a sample is likely to reflect a real
association between these two variables in a population. Hate crime generally
refers to a criminal offense against a person or property motivated in whole or in
part by an offender s bias against a race, religion, disability, ethnic origin or sexual
orientation , (Hall, 2013).

believe that most anything can be put on a spectrum like so, grading something on
its intention and execution. Levels of Americanness in American literature is no
exception to this idea. We are able to break down each piece of American literature
and categorize it accordingly first degree Americanness, second degree, or third
degree to better understand the author s reasoning behind their writing (or lack
thereof) or how and why they wrong, and how this data might compare with other
pieces within the same category. With this concept in mind, I m going to be
analyzing The Bean Eaters by Gwendolyn Brooks and determine its spot on the

An Inspector Calls Character Analysis
In the play, An Inspector Calls , written by J.B Priestly in 1945, Eric is featured as
part of the main characters in a wealthy family, who are celebrating Eric s sister,
Sheila s engagement. Despite his apparent misfit and mystery to the reader as the
curtain falls, Priestly employs the character of Eric to feature in his Socialist narrative
play, which is focused on the fundamental concept of responsibility. Despite being
called on by the Inspector about a girl who committed suicide, Eric is weak willed
and looks for ways to get out of trouble, redirecting focus throughout the investigation
with the Inspector to others, despite his remorseful actions and drinking habits. Eric
evidently doesn t share his father s hard headed attitude towards business, and
consequently adapts his actions throughout the playto manipulate the situation going
on around him. Thus, he changes in many ways for various reasons throughout the
play, as Priestly increases the dramatic tension.
One way in which Eric changes is in his assertiveness and confidence as the play
continues and the story develops. Eric s introduction to the audience is that of a
mystery, as Priestly places him with his back to the audience at Mise en scene, and
then first introduces Eric to the audience with Eric suddenly guffaws . The adverb
suddenly demonstrates Eric s abstractness to the flow of the dialogue, implying that
he might have something to hide. This awkward remark from Eric provokes a

research the most common ethics related to interior design and gather information
from different research methods
Methodology:
The three main research methods used to gather information on Ethics within interior
design at the present time was a literature review, looking into the main ethics within
interior design currently, The second research method was a survey that looked at the
consumers thoughts on these ethics, asking them about there knowledge of
Environmentally friendly alternatives and there own choices for there homes The
third research method used was a case study of a construction project in Seattle,
where architecture firm Case Design, designed and built two ECO friendly homes. It
looks at the environmentally friendly features used and also the benefits that these

closer inspection, it is acceptable to say that although some would argue that people
s own desires dictate their actions, the influences of others play a more prominent

trust his own mind and decisions over others. His mental toughness is broken
through however with characters such as Tiresias and the Herdsman. Little details
about his past break down the barrier that shields his mind from being influenced
by outside sources. As Effie Coughanowr suggests, Oedipus willingly listening to
this toxic information serves as, a single false step and tragedy becomes reality.
