spread to other parts of the body and it affects the immune system and its ability to fight infections
(Mayo clinic). This type of cancer affects thousands of people per year, and it its signs and symptoms
are different from other cancers. These signs and symptoms, in addition with other tests can help
diagnosed the disease. Once the disease is diagnosed, the patient can be received the proper treatment,
but the proper treatment does not guarantee complete recovery. Sometimes the same treatment can
later on put the person at risk for other malignancies or leave the person with long lasting effects.

Prison Reform Outline
I. How many of have a relative or a friend who is staying in prison? I believe we have or at least we
had, so what we can do is seek for reform for them. According to UNODC that prison reforms are
necessary to better the conditions for prisoners to enable the creation of an efficient and reliable
correctional system. In reforming the prison system, it is essential for alternatives to imprisonment to
be explored. There has been large number of people serving prison sentences in American prisons. In
fact, America has the world s highest number of prisoners with over 2.2 million Americans in prison.
II. Many people believe that prison reform would simply increase the criminals rate, but this is false.
III. From my research, I have learned that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

A. A reform of the prison system will affect all racism of the society positively and the rich, poor,
white, black, republicans or democrats will all feel the effect of these changes
1. Supporters who push for prison reforms are from diverse social and political backgrounds with
different perspectives on the issue as well.
a. The liberal Americans see prison reforms as a way to create a fair society where ex prisoners are
given more reasonable chances for coming back into the society.
b. Their support for these changes looks at this as the only real opportunity to reduce recidivism by
these individuals (Escobedo n. pag.).
B. The current sentencing and imprisonment system is false because it supports the imprisonment of
even minor offenders who are not actual threat to the society.
1. An example of offenders people who are engaging in illegal activities, they do not show any
hostility towards other members of the community.

The Abortion Of The Fetus
I am going to argue that its is right to claim that, even if a fetus is a person, abortion is still permissible
when one s risk in health/stability/happiness is threatened. I believe that any woman, who houses the
fetus inside her body for estimated nine months have the right and the choice to abortion when it is for
one s health, stability and happiness for both the mother and the unborn fetus. Thomson s argument is
entitled as Defense to Abortion . I agree to Thomson and her argument when it comes to aborting a
fetus, even if a fetus is a person. Yes, it has it s own DNA, and it s own life but when it threatens the
house that it stays in, which in this case would be the woman/mother s womb, I believe the abortion of
the fetus, is permissible. Thomson states it cannot be seriously thought to be murder if the mother
performs an abortion on herself to save her life. (Thomson, Defense on Abortion, pg6) Thomson gives
an example of a violinist being plugged into another human, using their blood in high hopes of
survival by that person s kidneys extracting the poison from the violinist s blood. The person never
agreed to do such, being that it was decided by the Society of Music Lovers; but did not go against it
by detaching himself from the violinist knowing that it can cause death. This explains that there are
events where we don t have much of a freedom of choice when there is a conscious person/life
involved meaning, when there is a conscious life in our hands,

Tyson Foods Projected Revenues, Current Assets, and...
Tyson Foods
In the last few quarters, Tyson Foods has been facing tremendous pressures from rising food prices
and slumping demand for their products. However, in spite of these issues, Wall Street analysts are
optimistic that the company will realize strong annual growth in the next two years. To fully
understand what is taking place requires carefully examining how current assets and liabilities are
impacting executives strategies. ( Tyson Foods, 2012) ( Tyson Foods, 2013) (Graham, 1976)
This will be accomplished by looking at: next year s revenues forecast (based upon a 20% increase),
working capital recommendations that can be utilized to increase the bottom line results, the effects of
this rise on the firm s working capital policy and lessons learned / areas for further development in the
future. Together, these elements will highlight the underlying strengths and weaknesses of the
company in the long term. It is at this point when specific recommendations can be provided to help
managers effectively deal with these issues. ( Tyson Foods, 2012) ( Tyson Foods, 2013) (Graham,
1976)
Assume next year s forecasted revenues increase by 20%.Â
If the company is able to see an increase in revenues by 20%, it means that Tyson Foods will see an
improvement in the current assets and liabilities by similar amounts. This will help the firm to have a
stronger balance sheet from increased demand for their products. These changes will create higher
costs for feed, chicken,

The Definition Of Personal Finance
The definition of personal finance is often defined as being the application of financial principles
within an individual or family unit. Such application includes: budgeting, saving, spending, and
assessing risks. Evidently, such financial management is of great importance. Therefore, in this paper,
I will provide an overview of an individual s personal finances by referencing their investment style
and briefly stating their financial objective. In addition, I will provide some recommendations said
individual should consider with the purpose of aligning their investment choices with their overall
financial goal. Let s us start off by discussing some facts that were provided by the individual who we
will hereby address as Joe. Joe is in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Now, let us calculate what his investment style will amount to if he were to continue making the same
investment choices until retirement. To start off, we can see that Joe is not a risky investor; he has only
invested into individual accounts, certificate of deposits, and his 401k. In addition, he saves an
average of 10% of each paycheck (which we will assume to be $5,000 annually based on a $50,000
median household income). As noted earlier, his primary objective is to retire on annual income of
$50,000. We can assume then that his goal is to save approximately $1,250,000 . Therefore, if Joe
continues to invest $5,000 annually ($416.67 monthly) into his saving account for the next 25 years,
his investment, assuming a current balance of $5,000 compounded daily at 0.01% (as currently being
offered by WellsFargo), will amount to about $130,170 . Now, Joe has also invested in certificate of
deposits (CDs). He reported as simply been reinvesting his original $5,000 for the past six years.
Assuming a stated 0.30% interest rate on a two year CD with daily compounding, his $5,000
investment is now worth about $5,091 . However, he seeks to reinvest this until retirement.
Performing similar calculations, we obtain a grand total of $5,488 . This is what his CD invest would
amount to if he were to reinvest the current $5,091 at a 0.30% interest rate with daily compounding
for the next 25 years. Now, let us proceed to examining his 401k contributions. Joe

The Journey Of Ibn Fattouma By Naguib Gibran s On Crime...
Culture is a shared set of beliefs, values, goals, and attitudes within a social, racial, or religious group.
Someone s culture is easily shown, even if in only in the slightest ways. The things people say, their
specific beliefs, or the choices they make can give a deep insight into someone s culture. I feel that
culture, in one way or another, is clearly presented in On Crime and Punishment by Khalil Gibran as
well as The Journey of Ibn Fattouma , by Naguib Mahfouz. On Crime and Punishment by Khalil
Gibran discusses how crimes are committed, but there is almost always more to the story. Even though
this is Arabic literature, I feel that this applies to many cultures. In most cultures, including mine, we

On the way, he meets an old man who is supposed to help him get to the land of Gebel, but first he
must join the other followers to prepare for the journey. I feel that culture is shown within this part of
the text because all of the followers of the old man sit with him each day to listen and sing. The
groups shared behavior and belief that by doing this, they will be prepared to go to the land of Gebel
shows culture within that community. Each day they do the same thing because it is what they all
know and believe and that is exactly what culture is. It also shows an insight into how the culture
teaches people to respect their elders. The people are following and listening to the old man because
he is old and considered wiser than everyone else. This is a common belief among many cultures. In
the end of the text, I think it also shows how people can choose to break away from their culture. It
may be that it no longer benefits them or they are just tired of conforming to that culture s standards.
Specifically referring to the text, the group leaves to go to the land of Gebel even though they are not
fully prepared for the journey. Due to certain circumstances, they are told to leave their land.
However, they made that final choice to leave, even though the old man said they were not yet ready.
They made the conscious decision to break away from what they know,

Research Paper On Zheng He
The beginning of maritime exploration was a major milestone in the history of the world. The
exploration of the vast sea lead to the development of trade relations between foreign empires and
innovation that helped to improve the speed and efficiency of ships. New ships attracted the attention
of explorers who sought to fulfill their personal desires or those of their empire, however one explorer
stood above them all. Zheng He s tragic childhood only fueled his thirst for power which he fulfilled
through his expeditions to foreign countries, that in turn benefited China, even after his death he left
his impact.
Zheng He had a complicated childhood that helped forge his future as one of the greatest maritime
explorers of China. He was born in 1371 in Yunnan, located near the foothills of the Himalayas near
south west China. (Nelson and Strayer 508). Zheng He s ancestors were Persian Muslims. His
grandfather and father practised Muslim faith and had made Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca, before his
family became high ranking officials for the Mongols that had taken over China at the time. (Nelson
and Strayer 508). When the Ming dynasty overthrew the Mongols they invaded Yunnan when Zheng
He was eleven and as a result his father was brutally killed while resisting Ming forces in 1382.
(Brown).
In ancient Chinese times castration was a common ritual that had been practised for a long history of
time not only in China but also in Islamic and Christian civilizations. (Nelson and

Kierkegaard And Nietzsche
Soren Kierkegaard was a Danish philosopher/existentialist born in Copenhagen, Denmark. Commonly
known as the father of existentialism , his works included strong subjects such as seeing the human
existence as fallen, and that human life is lived in suffering and sin, guilt, and anxiety. Kierkegaard s
work is mostly revolved around religion, specifically Christianity based. Coming from a line of
Lutheran pastors, shows how major of an influence religion is on his work. On the contrary, Friedrich
Nietzsche, a German philosopher/existentialist, was different from Kierkegaard with a more atheist
background. Nietzsche s writing came from somewhere non religious, even though he came from a
long line of pastors as well. Nietzsche s writings ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As mentioned earlier, Nietzsche doesn t recognize a high power, which is odd because he grew up
among Lutheran pastors. Philosophy of the future influenced Nietzsche s philosophy. He believed in
the after of certain periods. For example, he was post moral, post religious, post metaphysical etc. He
also was the type of existentialism philosopher that was about reevaluating values, basically giving a
new sense of good and bad and to be multi perspectival. However, in Nietzsche s eyes decision
making wouldn t be a burden like it would be seen in Kierkegaard s eyes. Nietzsche would see as a
great process for people to have control over their own lives. Because he believed in that you should
enhance the quality of life and become a work of art would support that having that free will, will let
humanity become, enhance, and create the life they want for themselves. Nietzsche s outlook about
shows that the central idea to his philosophy is the idea of life affirmation, which involves an honest
questioning of all doctrines that drain life s expansive energies, however socially prevalent those
views might be. (Wicks 1). With Nietzsche s outlook, would intrigue modern people today, to
proclaim their own lives and make their own decisions. Also, being constructive, being creative, and
reinterpreting everything was a part of the Nietzsche s philosophy and those three

1. Suggest five factors that could affect the production of ammonia in the Haber process. Explain the
effect of each factor, using rate theory.
The Haber process itself is a delicate balancing act because of all the factors that affect the yield of
ammonia. In the Haber process, the nitrogen, hydrogen and ammonia are in equilibrium. So five
factors that affect the production of ammonia would be:
a) Temperature. The reaction is an exothermic reaction, meaning it produces heat. The higher the
temperature in the reaction chamber, the less ammonia is produced, as the equilibrium shifts to the

c) Write the chemical equation that describes a nitroglycerine explosion. Why is this reaction
explosive? 1.4 C3H5 (ONO2)3([pic]) [pic]12 CO2(g) + 10 H2O(g) + 6 N2(g) + O2(g) Nitroglycerin is
a dense, oily liquid that detonates if heated to 218°C or if subjected to mechanical shock. The
molecule is explosive for three reasons: 1). Nitroglycerin contains both oxidant and fuel. 2). The
decomposition is highly exothermic. Many reactions occur when nitroglycerin detonates, but the
overall process can be written 4C3H5(ONO2)3([pic]) [pic]12 CO2(g) + 10 H2O(g) + 6 N2(g) + O2(g)
The reaction releases an enormous amount of heat because many strong bonds in the product gas
molecules replace the fewer, weaker bonds in nitroglycerin. Every mole of nitroglycerin that detonates
releases about 1.5 MJ of heat! 3). A large volume of gas is produced
d) What is gun cotton? What are its uses? How is it made? Nitrocellulose is a highly flammable
compound formed by nitrating cellulose through exposure to nitric acid or another powerful nitrating
agent. When used as a propellant or low order explosive, it is also known as guncotton.

Tanishq was the largest overseas chain in US with 1,200 outlets. In the year 2000, exports contributed

Essay On Biographies Of Hegemony And The Naked Citadel
In both essays Biographies of Hegemony by Karen Ho and The Naked Citadel by Susan Faludi, there
are two higher institutions, which would be Wall Street and the Citadel. Both of their goals is to
remold an individual to fit their criteria. Each individual has a certain identity and presents themselves
in a specific way. People are known to change due to influences in their everyday lives, which
eventually changes their identities into someone completely different. In these two essays, it becomes
evident that because of the pressures put upon people by these hierarchies, people unconsciously
change and are shaped into new individuals while hiding their true identities. Any person can be
completely stripped of their old identities by falling ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the Naked Citadel, the boy s identity is essentially being performed. They are distinguished as
superior non feminine men, while behind the scenes they are typically performing feminine acts.
Violently harassing the young knobs, showering together, and making their beds together was where
they could show their true selves. Faludi mentions how the result is ruthless intimacy, in which
physical abuse stands in for physical affection, and every display of affection must be counterbalanced
by a display of sadism (Faludi, 100). The boys become so infatuated with showing their feminine side
that when they snap back to reality they realize it is a sign of weakness and use anger to feel relief.
The Cadets act like they are on a stage playing a role in a play much like the Treehouse where men
dress up as Drag Queens. Both identities are being performed, which means while playing a role you
are still truly yourself. This is also seen in Biographies of Hegemony, while Princeton and Harvard
students are getting recruited, they put on this elite, smart act of attraction to be a part of this high
institution of Wall Street. It is claimed that the most distinguishing features of investment banking are
their smartness and exclusivity (Ho, 166). This shows how by putting themselves in a different

My Soccer Experience
The first soccer match I can recall watching was on a black, chunky TV screen back in my
motherland, Laos. My astonishment was real. I watched in awe as the players dribbled the ball,
sprinted through the green field, and nutmegged their opponent to attempt to find the back of the net. I
was fascinated by the pace of the game and the excitement from the stadium when a goal was scored.
Since then, I would plead with my parent to take me to my cousin s home in the capital city every
Sunday to watch a match. My adoration for the game declined after immigrating to the United States,
but I fell in love again during high school. What sprouted my interest in this sport? I have not gotten a
clue. It wasn t like my brother, cousin, or uncle played it. My family had no connection to the sport at
all. This memory is particular to an incredibly meaningful event that happened recently in the summer
of 2017. I attended an El Clasico match between world renowned Spanish clubs Real Madrid and FC
Barcelona. I am a supporter of the most royal soccer club in the world, Real Madrid. You don t just
declare that you are a fan of a team the very next day or because they won a certain match. It takes
understanding, time, knowledge, and passion for the game. This feeling is hard to put into words like

Theology Reflection
In every field of study there is tension in definitions, but in theology, the word theology itself is full of
tension. On one hand, it is almost indescribable because it studies God who is without perfect
description, but on the other hand St. Anselm s statement, faith seeking understanding seems to
describe with perfect flexibility what it means to practice theology. My intent is to attend Graduate
school at Marquette University so that I can dive deeper into the history, study, and communication of
what it means for faith to seek understanding. My faith began to seek understanding from an early age
as I entered Catholic schools and learned about what it meant to be Catholic. There, I was formed and
there I was raised: I grew to know and love the Church and God through my experiences in Catholic
schools. My teachers imparted to us the prayers and called us to do more than just pray the words: to
live out the words within our lives. It was here I that I became compelled to question the systems of
justice in the world and in the church. My sister, born with a cognitive disability, was told she could
not receive the Eucharist when it came time for her first communion. This prompted my family to
dedicate time and work to make and create spaces in the Church for people with disabilities. In the
space of Catholic schools, my faith needed understanding; it needed theology, which would illuminate
how to construct change to help open the doors to marginalized people in the public square to be
welcomed into the Church. During my time as an undergraduate student at the University of Dayton, I
continued to develop skills and knowledge assisting me in the process of faith seeking understanding.
I chose to pursue two degrees: a B.A. in religious studies and a B.S.E. in Secondary Catholic
Education. The former became my love, nothing excited me like going to a religion class. Here, I
learned about the methods behind theology and deepened my understanding of my religion and my
faith. My education degree formed me into someone more than just a teacher. My education degree
served me in more ways than just teaching in high schools because it taught me the invaluable skills of
communication, planning, research, and

Mississippi Vs Secession
In my initial post, I also discussed the economic factor for the Southern States seceding from the
Union; however, the Mississippi Declaration of Secession says two main factors for the state decision
of seceding from the Union than the economic factor. Historians do not use a small piece of evidence
to decide what happened, they gather facts to reconstruct the events that have to transpire, and the
same should be done when analyzing a primary document. On the Mississippi Declaration of
Secession also states, It has given indubitable evidence of its design to ruin our agriculture, to
prostrate our industrial pursuits and to destroy our social system. It knows no relenting or hesitation in

Indie Rock Research Paper
Indie and Alternative Rock Generation Z to Generation Y is fueled by indie/alternative rock. These
generations were raised during the beginning of alternative music. The style of indie and alternative
music helped form these generations and represent how they act today. Music affects generations in
every way possible. Generations Y and Z are very diverse compared to the other generations. These
generations could be more diverse because of the music that influenced them throughout their lives.
Alternative and Indie music began in the early 80 s and late 70 s. The rise of Indie music was inspired
by the underground punk rock scene. Alt/indie didn t become popular until the 90 s because it was so
underground and unheard of. The musicians were called alternative because they were independent
and unsigned artists. Today Indie rock is still not as popular as mainstream artists. Alternative
musicians stick to their roots and remain underground. The future of alternative music is looking
bright. With more artists making alternative music the genre is becoming more popular. The sub
genres of alternative and indie music is what truly forms the genre as a whole. Indie rock is a term that
represents artists who remain unsigned to major record labels. Punk rock is very similar to indie rock
but it is more intense. Grunge is a genre that began in the 90 s and is a perfect combination of indie
and punk rock bands. Grunge bands are just as intense as punk ... Show more content on

Carol Ann Duffy Valentine
Examine the way Carol Ann Duffy presents relationships in Valentine . Refer to other poems about
relationships in your answer.
This essay will be exploring the use of language and imagery in the poem Valentine by Carol Ann
Duffy to emphasise certain emotions within the text. This poem refers to the dark side of love and
relationships several times, for example; Its fierce kiss will stay on your lips. This creates a different
atmosphere to the stereotypical love poems, which are known for their mention of red roses and satin
hearts. Although the title gives us an impression of a cliché filled poem, as we continue reading, the
poem seems like more of a warning than an encouragement to involve oneself in relationships and
commitment, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The use of the detached word Lethal in the final stanza suggests that this is the core to the emotion of
love, and the surface to the surrounding layers is red roses and satin hearts.
We can compare Valentine to Sonnet 18 written by William Shakespeare and Sonnet 43 by Elizabeth
Barrett Browning. Despite having to perhaps read more deeply into Sonnet 18 to understand its
purpose, we can see from the first line; Shall I compare thee to a summer s day? that it is of a romantic
genre. This line can also be linked to Romeo and Juliet perhaps suggesting that Shakespeare has
emotional attachments to the message he is attempting to articulate, as he uses this motive in more
than one of his pieces. Whilst the opening greets us with a warm welcome and the perception that it
will continue to express a contented vibe, a turning point of But... is introduced. It then goes on to use
immortality as a comparison to relationships, for example; Nor shall Death brag thou wander st in his
shade. This mention of demise can also be associated with the plot of Romeo and Juliet supporting the
point made earlier. Giving the inanimate object of Death a capital letter is a use of personification that
proposes the idea to the reader that death is living, and it is always something to be feared.
Sonnet 43 also grabs the reader s attention with a question that is later answered. The use of the

Critical Appraisal Of The Clinical Pharmacist
Critical appraisal of the role of the clinical pharmacist in Cystic Fibrosis

Critical appraisal of the role of the clinical pharmacist in Cystic Fibrosis
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life shortening, genetic, multisystem disease. It mainly affects the respiratory
and the gastrointestinal systems, but it also can involve the endocrine system, sweat glands,
reproductive system, haematological system, bones and joints (Chisholm Burns et al., 2013). The
pathophysiology of CF is caused by a mutation in the CFTR (cystic fibrosis transmembrane
conductance regulator) gene, which acts as a chloride channel on epithelial cells, and it has many
other regulatory roles, for instance it works on inhibiting sodium transport through the epithelial
sodium channel. In order for the disease to develop it require two copies of the abnormal gene i.e. an
autosomal recessive disease (Davies, Alton and Bush, 2007). Until now, almost 2,000 different CFTR
mutations have been discovered and grouped into 5 classes. The most common mutation, appearing in
more than 80% of the patients, is in class II, which is called delta F508 (ΔF508). (De Boeck, Zolin,
Cuppens, Olesen Viviani, 2014). The clinical manifestations of the disease can vary between patients,
according to the age, the severity of the disease and the involved body system. It can appear from an
early age and continues throughout the life of the patient (O Sullivan and Freedman,

Positive And Positive Aspects Of A Positive School
Introduction
A positive school climate is essential. Schools with a positive climate tend to have less discipline
problems. In addition, positive climates can encourage positive development, as well as promote
academic motivation and engagement. This, in turn leads to fewer absences and improvements in
academic achievement.
Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) is a prevention oriented way for school
personnel to organize evidence based practices, improve their implementation of those practices, and
maximize academic and social behavior outcomes for students. (PBIS: Positive Behavioral
Interventions Supports, 2015)
Creating a system that recognizes and appreciates positive behavior is a key part of maintaining a
positive school climate.

Teams identified at the school will consist of an administrator, counselor, lead teacher, and PBIS
coordinator or other student services coordinator. Substitutions for team members are permitted except
for the school administrator.
Teams, with the assistance of a facilitator from the School Safety Resource Center, the Anti
Defamation League or the Colorado Education Initiative, would work through data and decide on a
plan of action.
After receiving the necessary training, the selected team would then present material to school staff

Coastal Erosion
Coastal erosion is known as the natural removal of land and sand caused by changing wave
conditions, coastal erosion is also caused by storm events which creates a massive amount of
destruction to the beach and can put building and infrastructure in potential danger (SES, 2016). Some
of the factors that affect coastal erosion include: strength of waves, weather as well as human activity
can all negatively impact the amount of erosion (A. Jackson, 2016). Beaches are an important part of

Breakwaters are generally made from natural rocks, concrete or the combination of both and run
parallel to the shoreline which a prone to erosion. Breakwaters are meant to take the force of the

can control most average waves at full force A well designed floating breakwater can stop waves that
are up to 6 1/2 feet high, while their fixed companions can stop waves up to 10 feet high depending on
their design and the local environment. They also don t interfere with water flow and so wildlife sill

a breakwater does get damaged they are affordable to fix. Though breakwaters have pros they also
have several cons such as: they don t provide protection to harsh storms though it may reduce the
severity of the wave s structures close to beach will still be in harm of being destroyed. They can be
expensive to originally build especially if a fixed breakwater is used over a floating breakwater; they
can cost millions and require expensive experts to install them since wave dynamics can be extremely
complex; they may also cause long term ecological hazards that have not been identified as yet (anon,

Criticism In Animal Farm And The Prophet s Hair
Literature generally reflects life. It doesn t just describe the events; it creates characters and conflicts
to help the reader better understand the meaning of the events. Modern literature is often linked to
ideology, either supporting or discriminating it. George Orwell s Animal Farm and Salman Rushdie s
The Prophet s Hair are among the literary texts that attack the ideologies, Communism and Islam
respectively. Even though the texts are written in the genres that are usually used to support the
principles and ideas of the philosophy they promote, Animal Farm and The Prophet s Hair undermine
these philosophies. There are certain similarities in the way G.Orwell and S.Rushdie discriminate the
ideologies in question; however, some differences ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
First of all, the tone of describing events and characters in both texts is sarcastic. Humorous undertone
is expressed by different means: caricatures, contrasts and hyberbolisations in Animal Farm; high
diction and exaggeration in The Prophet s Hair ( procession , endless ululating crocodiles of
lamentation , ramifications , massive police search ). Moreover, both protagonists, Napoleon and
Hashim, are obsessed with the idea. Napoleon puts in place any means to achieve his goal; and
Hashim becomes a different person, betraying his own principles, in order to satisfy the requirements
of his new ideas. Worship of the ideology, be it Communism or Islam, is at the core of the conflicts. In
addition, both characters use their ideologies, but not common sense and consciousness, to justify their
acts. Napoleon s every new decision, even the most abnormal, is supported by Surely, comrades, you
do not want Jones back? ; by Jones implying the old regime. After these words every argument
becomes unanswerable. For his part Hashim uses religion to justify his greed and passion. He tells
himself: ...the Prophet would have disapproved mightily of this relic worship: he abhorred the idea of

Richard Cory Ezra Farmer Essay
Abigail Bauer
AP English

While reading the poems Richard Cory and Ezra Farmer , it is almost immediately evident which
poem is an original and which is a parody. Both poems are clearly about men that are popular among
those he meets, but once the reader looks beneath the surface, they notice how the diction plays an
important role in relaying the theme to the audience it is presented to. In the poem Richard Cory
written by Edwin Arlington Robinson, the theme being portrayed is that people are not always as how
they seem.
In the first stanzas of each poem the differences are subtle yet noticeable. Robinson chooses to use the
phrase went down town while the parody says chose to go . The differences in diction here show ...

Ezra Farmer being a well dressed bloke paints the picture that he is one to dress nice to draw attention
to himself while in a crowd, or wherever he may be. The second line once again is the same except for
the word human from Robinson s Richard Cory is replaced with the word courteous in Ezra Farmer.
The change of words shows the differences between the two characters; Richard Cory can carry a
conversation with those around him while sounding like an average person unlike Ezra Farmer talks
more polite to once again draw attention to him. This difference is noted in the remaining lines of the
stanza as well when the narrator of Richard Cory says but he fluttered pulses when he said, Good
morning, and he glittered when he walked. Though Richard Cory talks like the average person, people
still feel special when he acknowledges them. On the contrary, the parody says he always caused
excitement when he spoke, and everybody watched him when he walked , basically saying that though
everyone was interested in hearing what Ezra Farmer had to say, everyone watches his every move;
similar to how celebrities are treated by tabloids and the public.

Liberalism is generally differentiated into two categories which are classical liberalism and modern
liberalism. According to Heywood (2003), classical liberalism was the most primitive tradition which
nothing can surpass. The forming of the ideas of classical liberalism between the seventeenth to
nineteenth century was due to the disruption of feudalism in Europe followed by the reconstructed to
capitalism. However, modern liberalism is the advanced alternation from classical liberalism which is
based on its fundamental basis. This is one of the reasons that some people argued both classic and
modern liberalism are partly similar. Yet, this essay will be more focus on the discussion of the

What is Good If There is No Evil?
This satire involves the devil, a psych ward, and love. Although this story is fictional, it allegorises

the author, used a lot of symbolism and magical realism to write about the environment he was in

Questions On Organizational Communication Concepts Essay
1. The movie I chose for this assignment is The Terminal.
2 Three Organizational Communication Concepts:
Organizational Cultural Elements: According to Keyton (n.d.), organizational culture is defined as the
set of artifacts, values and assumptions that emerges from the interactions of organizational members
(p. 550). Some examples of artifacts and values include, norms, customs, how members should
behave, and assumptions are revealed when talking about your work experiences. The culture of an
organization can be simply what it feels like to be there (Keyton, n.d.). Every culture is dynamic,
always changing and guides the construction of reality in a social community. There are 7 elements of
culture which include metaphors, rituals, stories, artifacts, heroes and heroines, performances and
values (class notes, Oct. 25). In the movie The Terminal the culture is constantly changing and when
Viktor Navorski arrives, just his presence and the things he does changes the culture of the terminal
and those people that he comes in contact with. One element is artifacts, this can include how he
gathers the carts and puts them back to get the quarters. When I think of artifacts I think of how he
remodeled the space where he is living; gate 67. He added a plant and a wheel chair with a blanket and
made his space his home. He made one area like a restaurant when he had dinner with Amelia. The
restaurants, stores, customs office etc. are all elements of artifacts. In the movie

A Short History of the Jews
Jews from Eastern Europe immigrated to the USA almost after the founding of the Nation, but they
arrived in droves only between the period of the two World wars when czarist persecution became
overwhelming and Jews sought the land paved with gold (and they really believed it to be such calling
America the Goldeneh medinah (Golden Nation) ) with a fervor and frenzy. This number increased
after world war II and today many of the Jews who live in America originate from Eastern Europe.
Most fascinatingly they clashed with their western counterparts who had lived in America long before
them, saw themselves as more suited to the American civilized way of life and derided the Eastern
European Jews as being both greenhorns and primitive. The early Jews who first came to America
were largely British. These were succeeded by German Jews. It was German Jews who produced the
large corporations such as Macy s,and German Jews who became th diplomats, politicians,a nd
financiers. They had the American manners and sought to become more American than the

subject in the science world even in present time. In my project featuring the science of Neurology, the
study of the human brain; I will undergo an experiment to see whether male or female have a faster
sensory response time. Sensory response, or ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response), is the
response in the brain sorting gathered information of sensory such as touch, smell, hearing, taste, and
sight by relevant and irrelevant information. The response time is the speed differences in the male
and female brain in how it gather the information, sort it, and react to what is given, (Google Search,
N.D.). In easier term My experiment will ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Past experiments such as one from the Colorado University which shows that men have an advantage
over women in response time by approximately 11 seconds average after undergoing a stimulation at
the school ( Sensory Reaction Rates Differing Between Men and Women, N.D.). One disadvantage is
that everyone have a different level of focus, intelligent, and how pressured they feel when under a
test. All these factors added in may caused the experiment for a precise response time have a slight
delay(Google Search, N.P.). The best way to approach this is by having the test subjects at a close
range of age (Which in this case is 12 14 years old) because the same age group inhabits similar brains
in thoughts, attention span, and intelligence level. Different genders have their power points and flaws
such as women are proven to be better to respond to pressure and men are better when it comes to
natural reflects. For example. when an object such as a ball is being thrown at our way, how will we
response with that information? The response differs in men and women. Although male and female
are different, what makes the Stroop Effect a difficult task for both gender? When preforming a task
such as the Ignore That! test, both hemispheres in our brain are forced to work together; one trying to
name the color, and the other

Analysis of Miss Jane Pittman
In Ernest Gaines novel, The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman, he stresses the importance of
education of black men from the period of slavery to the civil rights movement. Education has not
always been available to African Americans. During the time of slavery education was very limited as
not many people were educated, especially blacks. Schools for blacks were often destroyed and those
found teaching them were usually killed. A lack of education was one way that whites were able to
keep control over blacks along with violence to make people scared to challenge their treatment.
Throughout the book there were several educated black men that made their way into Miss Jane s life,
two of which were raised by Miss Jane and were like children ... Show more content on

When Jimmy died the community was finally able to get involved and they continued what Jimmy
started first through Jane as she continued with Jimmy s plan to protest by drinking from the fountain.
As time passed things have changed and African Americans have moved forward because of the
leadership and examples from Ned and Jimmy. They fought trying to make sure that their community
and others would be able to educate themselves and be free thinking so they could escape from the
shackles of slavery and white supremacy. They were able to shed their fear and mobilize the people to
reach a goal. Both Ned and Jimmy understood that nothing could be done to make a change without
support from the people and someone to lead

Red Hot Chili Peppers Concert Report
A rock star is coming into town. It was meant to be a surprise. The Upper school held a contest for its
students. The game is called Guess The Mystery Celebrity. The students were given the chance to find
out who is coming to the school to open its new department.
A lucky student was able to guess the correct answer. Jack Catt and Daniel Smith guessed that Chad
Smith is going to be at the grand opening.
And they guessed right. According to The Comet, the two students will get the chance to meet Red
Hot Chili Peppers own drummer, Chad Smith.
Bedfordshire is going to welcome the Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer to unveil the new expressive
arts and music suite at Sandy Upper School in Bedfordshire. Although the event will not happen until
December 12, 2016, the kids at school can not contain their excitement. ... Show more content on

Aside from being considerably one of the greatest rock drummers in music, Smith is a vocal supporter
for education. He is particularly known for his role in supporting young musicians in schools.
He has been lobbying the support of music education in the United States public school system. In
2014, he met with Michelle Obama and other celebrities at the White House during a talent show
event. The event was to raise awareness for Turnaround Arts. The aim of the program is to create
awareness and increase performance in the lowest ranked schools in the United States through arts
education.
His lobby for music education started since he was young. According to Chad Smith, he did not care
about science or math when he was in school. Music was his only reason for going to school. Music
helped him stay in school and eventually got him interested in other subjects. He graduated
successfully.
He hopes that music education would bring self confidence to students. Chad Smith knows kids need

  • 4. The Abortion Of The Fetus I am going to argue that its is right to claim that, even if a fetus is a person, abortion is still permissible when one s risk in health/stability/happiness is threatened. I believe that any woman, who houses the fetus inside her body for estimated nine months have the right and the choice to abortion when it is for one s health, stability and happiness for both the mother and the unborn fetus. Thomson s argument is entitled as Defense to Abortion . I agree to Thomson and her argument when it comes to aborting a fetus, even if a fetus is a person. Yes, it has it s own DNA, and it s own life but when it threatens the house that it stays in, which in this case would be the woman/mother s womb, I believe the abortion of the fetus, is permissible. Thomson states it cannot be seriously thought to be murder if the mother performs an abortion on herself to save her life. (Thomson, Defense on Abortion, pg6) Thomson gives an example of a violinist being plugged into another human, using their blood in high hopes of survival by that person s kidneys extracting the poison from the violinist s blood. The person never agreed to do such, being that it was decided by the Society of Music Lovers; but did not go against it by detaching himself from the violinist knowing that it can cause death. This explains that there are events where we don t have much of a freedom of choice when there is a conscious person/life involved meaning, when there is a conscious life in our hands, ... Tyson Foods In the last few quarters, Tyson Foods has been facing tremendous pressures from rising food prices and slumping demand for their products. However, in spite of these issues, Wall Street analysts are optimistic that the company will realize strong annual growth in the next two years. To fully understand what is taking place requires carefully examining how current assets and liabilities are impacting executives strategies. ( Tyson Foods, 2012) ( Tyson Foods, 2013) (Graham, 1976) This will be accomplished by looking at: next year s revenues forecast (based upon a 20% increase), working capital recommendations that can be utilized to increase the bottom line results, the effects of this rise on the firm s working capital policy and lessons learned / areas for further development in the future. Together, these elements will highlight the underlying strengths and weaknesses of the company in the long term. Such application includes: budgeting, saving, spending, and assessing risks. Evidently, such financial management is of great importance. Therefore, in this paper, I will provide an overview of an individual s personal finances by referencing their investment style and briefly stating their financial objective. In addition, I will provide some recommendations said individual should consider with the purpose of aligning their investment choices with their overall financial goal. Let s us start off by discussing some facts that were provided by the individual who we will hereby address as Joe. Joe is in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Now, let us calculate what his investment style will amount to if he were to continue making the same investment choices until retirement. To start off, we can see that Joe is not a risky investor; he has only invested into individual accounts, certificate of deposits, and his 401k. In addition, he saves an average of 10% of each paycheck (which we will assume to be $5,000 annually based on a $50,000 median household income). As noted earlier, his primary objective is to retire on annual income of $50,000. We can assume then that his goal is to save approximately $1,250,000 . Therefore, if Joe continues to invest $5,000 annually ($416.67 monthly) into his saving account for the next 25 years, his investment, assuming a current balance of $5,000 compounded daily at 0.01% (as currently being offered by WellsFargo), will amount to about $130,170 . Now, Joe has also invested in certificate of deposits (CDs). He reported as simply been reinvesting his original $5,000 for the past six years. Assuming a stated 0.30% interest rate on a two year CD with daily compounding, his $5,000 investment is now worth about $5,091 . However, he seeks to reinvest this until retirement. Performing similar calculations, we obtain a grand total of $5,488 . This is what his CD invest would amount to if he were to reinvest the current $5,091 at a 0.30% interest rate with daily compounding for the next 25 years. Now, let us proceed to examining his 401k contributions. Joe ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Someone s culture is easily shown, even if in only in the slightest ways. The things people say, their specific beliefs, or the choices they make can give a deep insight into someone s culture. I feel that culture, in one way or another, is clearly presented in On Crime and Punishment by Khalil Gibran as well as The Journey of Ibn Fattouma , by Naguib Mahfouz. On one hand, it is almost indescribable because it studies God who is without perfect description, but on the other hand St. Anselm s statement, faith seeking understanding seems to describe with perfect flexibility what it means to practice theology. My intent is to attend Graduate school at Marquette University so that I can dive deeper into the history, study, and communication of what it means for faith to seek understanding. My faith began to seek understanding from an early age as I entered Catholic schools and learned about what it meant to be Catholic. There, I was formed and there I was raised: I grew to know and love the Church and God through my experiences in Catholic schools. My teachers imparted to us the prayers and called us to do more than just pray the words: to live out the words within our lives. It was here I that I became compelled to question the systems of justice in the world and in the church. My sister, born with a cognitive disability, was told she could not receive the Eucharist when it came time for her first communion. This prompted my family to dedicate time and work to make and create spaces in the Church for people with disabilities. In the space of Catholic schools, my faith needed understanding; it needed theology, which would illuminate how to construct change to help open the doors to marginalized people in the public square to be welcomed into the Church. During my time as an undergraduate student at the University of Dayton, I continued to develop skills and knowledge assisting me in the process of faith seeking understanding. I chose to pursue two degrees: a B.A. in religious studies and a B.S.E. in Secondary Catholic Education. The former became my love, nothing excited me like going to a religion class. Here, I learned about the methods behind theology and deepened my understanding of my religion and my faith. My education degree formed me into someone more than just a teacher. The pathophysiology of CF is caused by a mutation in the CFTR (cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator) gene, which acts as a chloride channel on epithelial cells, and it has many other regulatory roles, for instance it works on inhibiting sodium transport through the epithelial sodium channel. In order for the disease to develop it require two copies of the abnormal gene i.e. an autosomal recessive disease (Davies, Alton and Bush, 2007). Until now, almost 2,000 different CFTR mutations have been discovered and grouped into 5 classes. The most common mutation, appearing in more than 80% of the patients, is in class II, which is called delta F508 (ΔF508). (De Boeck, Zolin, Cuppens, Olesen Viviani, 2014). The clinical manifestations of the disease can vary between patients, according to the age, the severity of the disease and the involved body system. It can appear from an early age and continues throughout the life of the patient (O Sullivan and Freedman, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It doesn t just describe the events; it creates characters and conflicts to help the reader better understand the meaning of the events. Modern literature is often linked to ideology, either supporting or discriminating it. George Orwell s Animal Farm and Salman Rushdie s The Prophet s Hair are among the literary texts that attack the ideologies, Communism and Islam respectively. Even though the texts are written in the genres that are usually used to support the principles and ideas of the philosophy they promote, Animal Farm and The Prophet s Hair undermine these philosophies. Richard Cory Ezra Farmer Essay Abigail Bauer AP English 02/17/15 While reading the poems Richard Cory and Ezra Farmer , it is almost immediately evident which poem is an original and which is a parody. Both poems are clearly about men that are popular among those he meets, but once the reader looks beneath the surface, they notice how the diction plays an important role in relaying the theme to the audience it is presented to. In the poem Richard Cory written by Edwin Arlington Robinson, the theme being portrayed is that people are not always as how they seem. The change of words shows the differences between the two characters; Richard Cory can carry a conversation with those around him while sounding like an average person unlike Ezra Farmer talks more polite to once again draw attention to him.
