Air Canada s Business Strategy Essay
Over the years Air Canada s business strategy has changed and has been reconstructed a number of
times. Air Canada s mission has always remained the same, connecting Canada and world (Air
Canada, 2016), but their visions and goals, have transformed.
Air Canada s early strategy was to grow the business, with minimal concern about their staff members
and customers. Without any benefits or rewards their staff felt underappreciated. Their customers felt
as though their feedback wasn t being heard but in the eyes of Air Canada as long as their business
was expanding, they were satisfied.
This was evident with the purchase of Canadian Airlines, in 1999 (The National, 2003). With the
purchase of this airline, Air Canada also inherited their estimated eight billion dollar debt (The
National, 2003). Also inherited from the merger, were underappreciated employees and under trained
employees who lacked morale (The National, 2003). In 2003, Air Canada filed for bankruptcy (The
National, 2003), this was due to the large financial deficit, the economy and the underappreciated/paid
employees. Although, this was a difficult time for the airline, this truly marked the change in how the
airline is structured. In 2005, it marked the true return of Air Canada, they reached record breaking
revenues and far exceeded anyone s expectation, including their own. Currently Air Canada, is the
largest Canadian Airline, which has a lot to do with their change in business strategy.
Air Canada is now an

Nores vs. Greek Essay
Nores vs. Greek
Greek mythology and Roman mythology are almost identical. This is an accepted fact, as it is widely
known that the Romans stole the Greek myths. However, it is very interesting to note that the
mythology of the Vikings (Norse) has many similarities with the Greek myths. These myths are, by no
means, identical to the Greek ones (like the Roman ones are), but there are very distinct
commonalities between the two. I see two possible reasons for this besides pure coincidence.
The first has to do with the fact that Norse myths were codified during the Viking era: 780 1070. This
gives the Norsemen many centuries to become exposed to the Greek (or Roman) myths. The Vikings
did travel as far east as the Caspian sea, which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The gods and goddesses are powerful beings capable of super human powers, but nevertheless are
characters fraught with very human frailties and flaws. In this way they created gods that had
similarities with the common man in the society. This made the gods more tangible and easier to
identify with. I think that this was necessary because they were not yet at the societal maturity level to
have a single god on a cosmic plane. Most of the comparisons will be examining the similarities
between major Greek and Norse gods, as well as creatures, stories and specific symbols which are
featured in the mythologies. Some of the gods do not have direct counterparts (Thor, Athena and
Loki). However, I will provide possible similarities within the respective mythologies.
ASGARD Asgard is sometimes known as Asgarth. It is the realm of the gods and the home of both the
Aesir and Vanir. Is is ruled by Odin, the leader of the Norse deities. It is located in the heavens, but is
connected to earth by a bridge, known as Bifrost, sometimes referred to as a rainbow. There is also a
route from Asgard to the underworld, the domain of Hel. Valhalla, a hall within Asgard, was the palace
for fallen kings, warriors who had died in battle and heroes.
MT. OLYMPUS Mount Olympus was the home of the Greek gods. It was chosen as their home
because of its altitude, for Zeus, the king of the gods, was associated with the sky. Within the
mythology, Mt. Olympus was large, foreboding

The Fortunate Mistress Sparknotes
The introduction of the novel within the Restoration time period sparked a literary revolution
involving the ways in which readers and writers alike were able to experiment with the concept of
identity, and begin to examine the possibility of individuals functioning outside of their traditional
societal roles. One narrative in particular, Defoe s The Fortunate Mistress, works to challenge the
prevailing roles of women in society by considering the possibility of a woman that is able to be fully
disconnected from the standards of patriarchal society through the dominance of her finances, sexual
freedom, and overall independence from conventional roles. Since the publication of this novel, the
majority of literary critics have interpreted Daniel Defoe to be misogynist and anti feminist in nature
when taking into consideration how he depicts Roxana at the end of his story. In this manner, when
using the ending of the novel as the focal point in the narrative, the argument can be made that Defoe s
portrayal of Roxana as the female who attempted to go against the societal norms, and failed as a
result of her own vanity, was purposeful for demonstrating that if women rejected their marital roles,
they would be unsuccessful in their endeavors. On the contrary, critics who view the ending in such a
way have belittled the true importance of the narrative, and neglected to recognize the significance of
Roxana s mentality within the neoclassical time period. Roxana s thoughts and

The Communist Manifesto By Sigmund Freud
Sigmund Freud, was a neurologist that mainly focused on psychoanalytical theories for psychology.
His most famous research was done during the late 19th and early 20th century, in which during this
time he wrote one of his most famous works Civilization and Its Discontents. In this book of his,
Freud manages to draw on many Enlightenment ideals and challenges some of these notions through
his theoretical analysis on the subconscious mind. In this book of his, Freud proposes that individual s
minds are divided into three distinct parts comprised of the ego, super ego, and the id. In his analysis
on these three parts of the mind, Freud encourageous individuals to regard their mind in emotional
qualities that are characterized by the id, ego, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this paper of his, Marx tackles many Enlightenment ideals but also challenges many with his
analysis on class struggle (bourgeoisie vs. working class), capitalism, and the development of society
as a result of these struggles. Marx s main proposal in The Communist Manifesto is that of historical
materialism , which is basically self divided into two parts: historically and materialistic. Historically,
Marx defines history as a change from the past to present in which the present relies on analysis of the
past to ensure progress. Furthermore, Marx regards that relations in the past have continually been
subject to historical change consequent upon the change in historical conditions .7 The analysis of the
past is consequent with the present as it is dependent with progress. Without analyzing the past, Marx
is stating that society in general will not learn from the class struggles that so aptly occupied society
during that time. The materialistic aspect of this, is prominent through Marx s explanation that the
economy of a society does not necessarily lead to distress and chaos in society, furthermore the
economy of a society is not to blame. In many ways Marx says that following every historical period,
the prevailing mode of economic production and exchange, and the social organization necessarily
following from it, form the basis upon which it is built up [...] .8

The nitrogen in ammonia makes many people think that it...
The nitrogen in ammonia makes many people think that it can double as fertilizer and promote plant
growth. However, using household ammonia, which is present in many cleansers, can do more harm
than good. Learning the ins and outs of this chemical and its effect on plant growth might make you
think twice about using it.
Ammonia and Plants
Ammonia is presents in soil, water and air, and is an important source of nitrogen to plants. Nitrogen
promotes plant growth and improves fruits and seed production, resulting in a greater yield. It s also
essential to photosynthesis, which is the process where plants convert light energy into chemical
energy. The ammonia that s present in many household cleanser is diluted in water and contains ...

Risk of Ammonia Injury
Ammonia is most likely to injure plants if you don t known what you re doing. Using ammonia is
especially risky if you re unaware of the pH of the soil and water that you re using, and if you don t
know the exact concentration of ammonia that you re applying. Concentrations as low as 3.5 parts per
million are toxic to seedlings. (See References 2, p. 25) Also, according to the University of
California, applying ammonia too close to the plant and not deep enough can also result in plant
injury. (See References 4) You might be better off and more successful when using a commercial
fertilizer to promote plant growth.

The Role Of Recording Industry Association Of America Essay
The Role of the RIAA in Protecting Intellectual Copyright
This paper examines the role of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in protecting
the intellectual copyright of recordings from illegal downloading, which continues to be a major
problem for the recording industry despite repeated efforts to stop this practice by consumers. This
role of the RIAA relates to the business and economic aspects of the recording industry and illegal
downloads from online platforms. The RIAA s role in addressing illegal downloading has involved
lobbying governments for enforcement of copyrights, litigation against private parties (individuals and
organizations), engaged in illegal downloads, and marketing campaigns encouraging customers to
refrain from engaging in illegal downloads. The paper begins with a background on how the
technological developments led to the problem of illegal downloads before examining the role of the
RIAA in curbing this practice. The analysis then concludes with the finding that the RIAA has been
deficient in curbing this practice, resulting in significant losses in sales, revenues, and profits for the
recording industry.
History of Illegal Downloads
The problem of illegal downloading in the recording industry was a result of specific technological
developments. It was the development of MP3 file formats for digital audio recordings, which first
emerged in the early 1990s, but did not become a significant copyright threat to the recording industry

Aromatic Substation
Aromatic substances are cyclic and planar molecules with resonances bonds that exhibit molecular
stability. Most aromatic substances are a derivative of a benzene ( aromatic hydrocarbon) ring. The
structure of aromatic substances is defined by the cylic overlapping sp2 hybridized atoms, figure 1.
Benzene rings are nonpolar, insoluble in water and very stable due to the delocalized pi electrons. This
stability of benzene rings means that no many reactions can occur with some aromatic substances.
There are a few substitution reactions in an aromatic substances replaces a hydrogen within a
functional group(s). Aromatic substation occurs when an electrophile replaces a hydrogen on a
benzene ring. In aromatic substation, the aromatic ring attacks an electrophilic molecule. This causes
the double bond between two carbons to break, leaving one carbon with the electrophilic attachment
and the other becomes a carbocation. Due to the carbocation, the aromatic ring is not stable, and
requires the replacement of that double bond. The nucleophile in the solvent will grab the hydrogen on
the carbon with the attached electrophile. The electrons from that hydrogen will reform the double

Case Study On Boeing s 787 Dreamliner
INTRODUCTION Many consider Boeing s 787 Dreamliner an example of a failed project. Twenty
six billion dollars over budget, almost four years late, and several quality issues surround the
innovative new aircraft (Ausick 2014). This paper explores Boeing s approach of materializing the
Dreamliner from a project management perspective by comparing the company s undertakings with
project management principles. Three factors define the success of any project; these are time, cost,
and quality (Wysocki and RK 2013: 4). This paper identifies three main facets of project management
that were inappropriately implemented, namely; Resourcing, Stakeholder Management, and Risk
Management and how their improper implementation led to the violation of the three constraints (i.e.
time, cost, and quality). The paper is divided into three sections, the first of which will establish a
timeline of events. This project background will serve as a case study for the analysis in the following
section that will be structured such that each of the previously mentioned facets will be independently
analyzed and contrasted with project management principles. Finally the paper will conclude with a
summary of the analysis and recommendations based on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Sacramental Research Paper
The Sacramental of the Rosary Growing up in a Catholic family and attending Catholic school, my
aunt, Sister Antonella Bayer, experienced many sacraments and sacramentals throughout her life. At
school, she had the holy water fonts to make the sign of the cross when coming into class. Her home
environment consisted of praying before bed with her mother, and praying the litanies with her father
during Forty Hours and Holy Week services. As she grew up, she absolutely connected with one
sacramental in general which was the rosary. As a result of numerous experiences with her family and
the Holy Trinity, Sister Antonella Bayer s favorite sacramental is the rosary. Sister Antonella Bayer s
origins of the sacramental began when she was in grade school. She took part in a living rosary during
the May crowning at St. Catherine s Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. In this living rosary, the children
wore beautiful spring dresses while they were the beads of the rosary. When their turn came, they

be like God in our life. The presence of God will be different for everyone, for everyone experiences
conditions differently, but it is through these experiences that build us into what God wants for us. In
these experiences, we all have Key Experiences, such as the death of Sister Antonella Bayer s parents
that shape us the greatest. Even when the experiences aren t the best God is still present in order to
bring us up and to help us keep going. They are what bring the presence of God in our life just as the

Internal Conflict In Hamlet
What a piece of work is a man! (Shakespeare 2.2.265), Hamlet exclaims, so accurately describing the
human condition. Shakespeare shows a deep understanding of the human mind: humans act according
to either their reason or emotions. According to Classical thought, which was renewed in the
Elizabethan era, the traditional four elements earth, fire, water, and air form the basis of psychological
classification known as the four humors: melancholic, choleric, phlegmatic, and sanguine. These
humors or temperaments were thought to explain a person s physical, mental, and moral
characteristics. A person was thought to be perfectly balanced only when no one of the four
temperaments dominated, and therefore judgements are not made based more heavily on thoughts or
passions (Kazlev). Shakespeare s Hamlet suggests that reason is a gift given to man that should be
used and controlled so that man neither wastes time contemplating action nor makes rash decisions,
and can thus be perfectly balanced.
Throughout the drama, Hamlet experiences an internal conflict between his reason and his passion.
This internal conflict causes Hamlet to only act instinctively when his reason is overtaken by his
passion (Cohen 75). This is seen first when Hamlet decides to go alone with the ghost. His depression
overwhelms his reason, and he therefore has no regard for his own life. He says, Why, what should be
the fear? / I do not set my life at a pin s fee (Shakespeare 1.4.64 5). After meeting with the ghost,
however, he begins to question whether he can trust what the spirit told him. This doubt restricts him
from acting against Claudius:
Yet I,
A dull and muddy mettled rascal, peak
Like John a dreams, unpregnant of my cause,
And can say nothing no, not for a king,
Upon whose property and most dear life
A damned defeat was made. Am I a coward? (2.2.487 92).
Hamlet chastises himself for not taking action to avenge his father. He answers his question of
cowardice in Act 3 when he says, Thus conscience does make cowards of us all. He is aware that his
overthinking is restraining him. However, he decides he must have absolute proof of the King s guilt
(2.2.519 25). By waiting until he knows for certain that Claudius committed the

Mass Media Development And Literacy Assignment Options
Mass Media Development and Literacy Assignment Options Week one HUM/186 Allyson Wells,
instructor David Strom October 30, 2017 I have chosen Option A for this assignment. I will be
discussing the major developments in the evolution of mass media over the last century. I will discuss
how each development influenced the American culture. And finally, I will discuss what is meant by
the term, Media Coverage, and how it has affected our everyday lives. There have been significant
changes in the world of mass media over the past century. Traditional media is the term which is used
to refer to all forms of media which were present before the internet. These means of communication
included printed materials, such as newspapers, books, and magazines. National magazines which
were popular were: Time, Life, and Newsweek. The National Geographic was a magazine which
cover news and trends from across the globe. Probably the most widely read magazine on the topic of
music and entertainment was Rolling Stone. News was broadcast on television and radio.
Entertainment could be seen at the movie theater and heard on the radio. Books were published, both
fiction, as well as non fiction. Biographies were written about the lives of individuals, from Presidents
to celebrities and athletes. If you were interested in cooking or home making, you could pick up a

The Direction Of Bilateral Trade Flows Across Countries Or...
4.2. Conclusion This study has indicated that there are some differences as to what determines the
direction of bilateral trade flows across countries or regional economic blocs. The motives behind the
formation of such arrangements disparate from region to region hence, there are differing arguments
that explain the rationale for their set up. Developing countries regional blocs in general, African ones
in particular, are often criticized for being politically oriented and this view has been partially
supported by the study. From the above regression results and the subsequent explanations, it could be
concluded that trade flow in the study area is positively impacted by real GDP in both trading partners
and is statistically significant. It is also directly proportional to the population number in both
countries, although the population number in the trading partners of countries in the study area is not
statistically significant. In addition, regression results from the dummy variables, colonial history,
membership of both trading partners in East African Community, and common membership of both
trading partners in regional economic integrations outside EAC, reveals that trade is positively
influenced by these variables and is statistically significant. Another group of variables that
significantly explain trade in EAC are distance between the centers of the trade partners and number
of land locked countries in the country pair. Unlike other variables in the model,

At the start of the film, Ashoke and Ashima leave India for America and their life together begins. The
move from the big city of Calcutta to the big city of New York is much lonelier because they have no

that they have gas twenty four hours a day, and the difference between hot and cold water symbols.
Also there was no need for her to boil the water for drinking; she could just drink straight from the tap.

The Quest For A Solution
Ten thousand years earlier, a meteor has struck planet Ethnos and the resulted impact killed almost all
its inhabitants. A few monkeys, which were near a cave, managed to run inside and luckily become
saved with the entrance of the cave collapsing and blocking the entrance to tsunamis and other
flooding. Several generations of these monkeys live happily together in the dark under the warmth of a
nearby volcano until they were able to get out of the cave and started a different journey with a blue
sun on the horizon. Now Brown and yellow, the monkeys never realized that they shared common
ancestry and their skin color was a result of their respective habitat inside the cave. They went on with
their life building different cities on this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Like a plague ravaging their planet, this epidemic has been decimating all the cities on planet Ethnos
and now it was the turn of their village and their family. Concerned by the look on her mother s face,
Error tries to understand what is going on and ask her mom about the tense atmosphere in the village
and her dismal facial expression.
Iwant started recounting to her one year old girl the complicated story of their species. She began with
the meeting of the queens in which she learned about her fate as a female monkey. She said: once
every year following the last meteor catastrophe, monkey has been meeting regularly on a special
occasion to commemorate the event and learn about the skills they need to master in order to survive
and also to prepare the next generation; the meeting of the queen. She added: we have met several
groups of monkeys in that setting. One group instructed me about the first time brown monkeys and
yellow ones have met coming out of the same cave. Another group talked to me about why brown skin
monkeys were the superior monkey among all and all the privileges they were granted in their society.
They also explained to me, she exclaimed, how male monkeys were indolent, lazy, good for nothing
and were only capable of doing sexual intercourse. One older female added that these males
represented a waste in our community and only a few of them had enough strength to get a female
monkey pregnant. At this point she became really agitated and shouted

Google Answer to Filling Jobs
Introduction
Google used to look for people with straight A report cards and double 800s on their SATs to
determine if they would be a good fit for their organization but have since moved to more drastic
measures to ensure a good match between the employee and Google s high octane organizational
culture. Google has employed personality testing to help them make decisions about hiring by making
applicants fill out an elaborate online survey that explores their attitudes, behavior, personality and
biographical details going back to high school in an attempt to ensure a good PE fit with the
organization.

This is done in an attempt to increase productivity and reduce absenteeism and turnover. Employees
that fit better into the organization will have higher job satisfaction and commitment to their
organizations and lower intentions to quit when their personal characteristics and values match or fit
the job requirements.1 When the employee is a good fit it can help with the employees attitudes and
job stress.
Group Level of Analysis
Google was happy with the current culture and group dynamics and wanted to know how to ensure
new individuals would interact with the groups the same way. To accomplish this Google did a study
of the personality types that correspond to the leadership styles and level of results at the group level
they wanted to mimic. This was done by asking every employee who had been working at the
company for at least five months to fill out a 300 question survey. Afterwards Google created several
surveys they believe will help them find candidates in engineering, sales, finance, and human
resources. Using the personality test and comparing the results from people that already fit well in the
organization will help Google maintain or improve the group dynamics, reduce intergroup conflict and
result in better communication at the group level.

Corrections Trend Evaluation Essay
Corrections Trend Evaluation

Hector Garcia Ed. D
Abstract
Throughout the United States, there are many correctional facilities that house thousands of inmates.
Individuals who work within these facilities have a tough job in maintaining the prison facility and the
inmates. Correctional officers are called the front line workers and are responsible for looking after the
inmates. The officers who work for the correctional facility deal with issues that may arise inside and
outside of the facility. The subject to discuss is to evaluate the past, present, and future trends
pertaining to the development and operation of institutional community based corrections. An

There is not enough data that shows that treatment and rehabilitation programs will reduce criminal
behavior in an offender and keep the offender from re offending. Once an offender is released from an
institution, he or she may have an idea about the way an institution is ran by his or her demeanor and
attitude one he or she is released from the facility. Community based correction programs are about as
important as a lock down facility. These types of programs are designed to hold the inmate
accountable for his or her actions, but also hold the communities responsible for reducing crime.
Individuals who work toward reducing crime with the help of community based programs are also
working hard to keep the community members involved in reducing crime, but also help the
community understand how to manage offenders and get the offenders reintegrated back into the
community (Evans, D., 2004). Another trend that has caused issues for correctional facilities is gangs
within the prison facility. Gangs within a correctional facility have been an ongoing issue for many
years. There are so many members of gangs that are incarcerated and these gang members when
brought into a correctional facility also bring his or her beliefs that his or her gang is the best. When
members of the same gang become incarcerated in the same correctional facility, the prison gang
grows and this causes a risk in harming the other inmates as

Photoreceptor Fatigue Lab Report
In this experiment, the effect of age on the speed of photoreceptor fatigue was tested. This was tested
by producing an afterimage in people of various ages to find when they became fatigued to the color
green. This result showed that people that were older often had their photoreceptors fatigue faster and
have their afterimage last longer. This may be connected to the fact that the amount of cells atrophy
with age. Further test may be needed to tell what causes the sudden increase in fatigue at an older age.
Introduction
The eye is a very important organ because it allows us to not just see something, but to also see them
in colors. Vision is created when light passes through the cornea, and reflected by lens until it hits the
retina in the back of the eye. On the retina are two types of light absorbing cells. These two types are
rods and cones cells. Cone cells are used for color vision while rods are used to see in black and white.
The cone cells can pick up 3 basic colors; red, green, and blue. When they pick up light,
photosensitive chemicals in the outer part of a cell release a electrical charge, allowing the brain to
precieve the light as color. They use different groupings of these colors ... Show more content on

The brighter and longer you take in the stimuli the longer it takes for it to readjust. An example of this
is the psychologist Kenneth Craig. After staring at the sun for two minutes he caused damage to the
retina. The photoreceptor cells were damaged beyond repair and gave him the view of a orange/black
sun whether his eyes were open or closed. With age it become apparent that many parts of the body
become weaker, and the eyes are no exception. Around the age of 40 is when the eyes begin to fail.
Along with basic things like peripheral vision, your color vision fades. The cells become less sensitive
to the colors it receives. Colors become less vibrant and less

Nutrition Report On Food Intake Essay
Food Intake According to my three day food diary report, I demonstrated a diet pattern that truly lacks
a healthy balance of vital nutrients. First of all, my kilocalorie intake nearly quadrupled that of my
dietary reference intake (DRI) range. Secondly, my total lipids reported as considered within my DRI
range. However, it was at the highest allowable percentage. Therefore, had it been one percent higher,
it would have been above my recommended dietary reference intake. Third of all, my carbohydrate
intake revealed drastically surpassed my DRI (although it was within my DRI range, when compared
to my total fat and protein amounts, my carbohydrate percentage displayed immensely greater than the
others). Finally, the results of my protein intake were extremely low compared to my suggested DRI
range. In fact, the percentage was at the lowest allowed for my protein DRI, and was dangerously low
in comparison to my total lipid and carbohydrate percentages. Macronutrients According to Institute
of Medicine (National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, 2016), macronutrients are
significant to the health (or illness from malnourishment) of humans, because macronutrients are the
sources of nutrients that we rely on the most for energy, growth, and healing, thus, mandatory in
greater amounts. In addition, consuming too few or even excessive intakes of macronutrients

Bicycle Thieves Themes
Bicycle Thieves, an Italian film directed by Vito De Sica is a classic of the Neorealist film movement.
The film depicts a story of a father and son and their journey together to find the main character s;
Antonio Ricci s; stolen bike. On a baseline level, this film shows a sense of mystery and action, all
surrounded by the family unit. The family unit divides into a few prevalent themes within the film
such as the bond of husband and wife, the bond of the father and son and the karma philosophy and
specifically how it affects community. The sense of family is a strong theme within the film Bicycle
Thieves. This is played out through Antonio s relationships with his wife, Maria. In the beginning,
Antonio and Maria s relationship takes hold of the story. Their relationship to another is compact and
yet pure. In many ways, at first one can see Maria s character as plot device. Yet upon closer
examination one can see she sets up the strong family unit that drives her husband and son; Bruno;
upon their mission. Maria is a strong character and a strong women. I believe it is her strong presence

being can affect one s own life. While Karma is a mere theory I believe this film brings this theory to

20 minutes into the film) Antonio convinces Marias not to waste her money on repaying the physic

Interest Groups and Policy Making
The involvement of civil society and interests in policy making is a constructive way to involve
representative groups in the policy process and is conducive to economic growth Discuss whether you
agree with this statement, with reference to Olson s critique of interest groups.
Introduction
The aim of this assignment is to look at the effect civil society and interest groups have on policy
making and how in turn these are either conducive or not to the economy. Olson s critique of interest
groups will also be examined.

He goes on to explain how the law when finally passed is unlikely to mirror their exact interest, as
when it moved through the legislative process other interest groups asserted their influence to modify
it in ways to accommodate their interest. This gives us a simple but clear idea of the effect interest
groups have on policy making and makes one wonder the conduciveness of such actions to the
economy if politics are to pamper to the interests of interest groups. Murphy (2010) also outlined that
interest groups do not only effect government but they also exercise their influence on policy through
public and private channels both directly and indirectly.

economic and social interests. The National Economic and Social Council (NESC) is an advisory

Some bad credit car companies will allow you to take over the payment on a very nice car. The
prerequisite is that you need over $2,000 to purchase a lojack system. The bad credit car loan people

than you can more than likely get a bad credit car loan. Call the car dealership directly and ask if you

Defining Social Roles for Men and Women in India through...
Social Roles for Men and Women in India through Traditional Hindu Texts Throughout this essay, I
will discuss the social roles of men and women in the home, within rituals and within creation. I will
look at the roles of a husband and wife, as well as Goddesses and Kings. The main traditional texts
that support these roles are the Rg Veda, the Kalpa Sutras, the epics (the Ramayana and Mahabharata),
Tryambaka, and Manu Smrti. They are believed to lay the foundations for order in society, as well as
giving people the knowledge of their duty. I will show how these separate texts have defined roles
within castes and genders and show how their different styles of writings have defined roles in
different ways. A person s role in society ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first three are called the twice born. This is brought about by the initiation ceremony (upanayana)
at which they are ceremonially reborn and assume the sacred thread. The Saudras are not permitted to
perform this ceremony. There is also a class called the `Untouchables , which are outside the caste
system as they are too polluted and contact with whom was considered polluting. These people deal
with things that are seen as polluted, e.g. bodily fluid and certain animals. All these different classes
determine a person s duty in society. A person s duty in known as their `Dharma . This is dependant on
their caste, as well as their age and Gender. For example a woman s duty in the Brahmanical caste
would be different from a mans. This is mainly because a woman is prohibited from reading the Veda.
It is believed that this is one of the six things that cause a woman to fall. This was written in the
Stridharmapaddhati of Tryambakayajvan, (guide to the religious status and duties of women). A
person s age also comes into account. The main sources of Dharma are believed to be in the Veda, the
Kalpa Sutras, as well as the epics, the Ramayana and Mahabharata. All these texts have helped to
shape what peoples duties are in life, as I will show later on in this essay. The main feature that
dharma brings to society is a sense of social structure or

In Addition To Saving And Bequest Channels, The Proposed
In addition to saving and bequest channels, the proposed model in this paper identifies two additional
channel of child labor. These are heterogeneity in child s ability, which causes heterogeneity in the
cost of education, and differential future expectation of parents depending on their socio economic
background. I attempt to capture these four channels using a number of variables. For saving, I use
income of household head and for bequest, I use whether the household owns any house. Here income
of household head may be under reported or may have some types of measurement errors, so, we use
several other variables to instrument it. Ownership of a house is used to capture bequest as housing
price is very high almost across the country ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Secondly, the socio economic group in which the household head belongs to is also crucial in forming
household head s expectation. Thus, I use household head s gender ($Head_female$), Household head
s sector of employment ($Sector$), religion of household head ($Religion$), and the location of
household ($Urban$). Using these variables I estimate the following models: Where $y$ is child s
working hours per day, $ extbf{X}={Urban, Sector, Female, Head_literacy, Religion, House,$ $
Head_income, Head_female, Dropout_ability, Dropout_cost, Dropout_income}$, $ extbf{Z}=
{Urban, Head _sector,$ $ Female, Head _literacy, House, Land, Num _hhchld, Head _literacy,
Head_age, Dropout_ability,$ $Dropout_cost, Religion, Dropout_income, TV, Head_female}$,
$Q_{N}(eta) = g_{N}(eta) W_{N}g_{N}(eta)$, $g_{N}(eta)=frac{1}{N} sum_{i=1}^{N}Z
epsilon$, and $W$ is a $N imes N$ positive semi definite matrix. In addition, I also estimate logit and
probit model of child labor, where I attempt to estimate the probabilities of being a child labor with
respect to the variables mentioned above. Results of these models are shown in the following table:

The Iron Curtain Analysis
Description: The artwork that I am criticizing is the Wall of Oil Barrels The Iron Curtain by Christo

of each other, forming a wall/barricade of some sort. Christo and Jeanne Claude left all the barrels
exactly they way were, they didn t even change the colors of them. They also kept the brand of the

Overview of Barbara Dossey s Nursing Theory
Nursing Theory: Barbara Dossey
Context of the development of the theory Barbara Dossey is truly a visionary in the holistic nursing
movement and her theory is able to further the development of holistic nursing in its entirety as well
as bolster patient outcomes. The context in which the theory was developed was in relation and
connection to the products and ideas of Ken Wilbur, in an attempt to fortify the fundamental concept
of healing (Dossey Keegan, 2003). Dossey s four quadrant model in certain respects is a reaction to
and influenced by the work of Wilbur, namely that his volumes stress that no particular or sole
researcher, philosopher or theorist can describe, establish or clarify the constituents of reality (Dossey
Keegan, 2003). Dossey and Keegan emphasize that the obstacle and objectives in nursing is to bolster
one s integral awareness while boosting one s overall strengths and abilities in nursing in general
(2003). Ultimately, the theory developed in the context of the belief that healing occurs when the
delicate balance and harmony of body and mind and spirit is successfully addressed and how ancient
ideas can be effectively integrated in the realm of caring for patient in everyday living
(Dosseydossey.com).
Nursing Conceptualized in the Theory This theory recognizes how the meta paradigm of nurse,
individual, health/wellbeing, surrounding environment (also known as society) have to be
acknowledged (Dossey Keegan, 2013). The nurse plays a strong

How Underfunded Public Pensions Be Around The Country Essay
There s a lot of discussion in the news about how underfunded many public pensions are around the
country. States like Alabama, Michigan, Illinois, and Arizona are in the news for high, pension plan
debt that are eating away city and state budgets. But, the public sector isn t alone in underfunding
pensions. Not all private pensions are the money in the bank that employees think they are, in fact
they are doing about the same as public pensions. Neither is 100 percent funded. The result? A
combined deficit in retirement plan savings of over $4 trillion for payees between the ages of 25 and

they were rare. A series of revenue laws passed by congress from 1921 1929 helped private pensions

Examples Of Foil Characters In Romeo And Juliet
Romeo Mercutio Character Foil The play Romeo Juliet presents a few specific character foils. The
characters Romeo Mercutio develop a unique foil; Mercutio, the player, and Romeo, the lover. Both
characters have unique characteristics that set themselves apart, but all in all, bind them together.
Romeo is one of the main characters in the play. Romeo is romantic and has a passion to love and be
loved. He uses words to express his love. Firstly, for example, in Act 1 Scene 5, If I profane with my
unworthiest hand, this holy shrine, the gentle sin is this; my lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand.
To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss. (W. Shakespeare 837) Romeo longs to be with Juliet,

He is a player and has a different outlook on love. Primarily, in Act 1 Scene 4, Mercutio says If love
be rough with you, be rough with love; Prick love for pricking, and you beat love down. (W.
Shakespeare 829) He suggests that Romeo disregard love, and in addition, to have sex to get over it.
Also, one possible reason that Mercutio despises love is that he s possibly heartbroken. Secondly, in
Act 1 Scene 4, he describes Queen Mab as one who gives people what they want, in her dreams. For
example, On courtiers knees, that dream on curtsies straight; O er lawyers fingers, who straight dream
on fees; O er ladies lips, who straight on kisses dream. (W. Shakespeare 830) These dreams are
insignificant, and as a result, Mercutio tells Romeo about Queen Mab; his dreams about Juliet are
insignificant. Finally, Mercutio is apparently jealous of Romeo. Throughout Romeo and Juliet, his
lines label him as a pessimistic non lover. In Act 2 Scene 4, Mercutio says Alas, poor Romeo! He is
already dead, stabbed with a white wench s black eye, shot through the ear with a love song, the very
pin of his heart cleft with the blind bow boy s butt shaft. And is he a man to encounter Tybalt? (W.
Shakespeare 858) He says that of all Romeo has been through, he can t even go up to Tybalt. So,
Mercutio is possibly jealous of Romeo because he can t

It Doesn t Matter By Nicholas Carr
Nicholas G. Carr initiated a discussion about the strategic importance of IT spending of companies in
his Article IT Doesn t Matter published in Harward business review , 2003. He also advises to reduce
the spending on IT infrastructure by arguing the fact that IT become commodity rather than a strategic
advantage. Diminishing strategic advantage of the IT as explained by Nicholas Carr is not a broad
view of the topic and Author has limited the scope of IT with mostly hardware part and not discussed
the various advantages a firm can gain with use of information technology in a whole. Author suggests
that business corporations should spend less on the IT infrastructure by arguing that IT is no more a
strategic advantage and is similar to other commodity which is assessable to each and every one at
market place. Author advices organizations to spend less on the IT capital, to wait and learn from the
mistake of competitors and also evaluate the risks associated with the implementation of IT
infrastructure. Author has provided the details of it spending and financial outcome of the industry.
Here we need to understand that financial out come from an IT investment cannot be expected

Improvements on the Evaluation Scope of Evaluation I would continue to use a mixed method
approach in the evaluation of the summer programs. However, I would first address the survey and
interview questions, and how the observation process occurred. Before doing anything else I would
attempt to make sure that these questions being evaluated were being asked in a manner suited to the
age appropriateness of the participants. This may entail that several different versions of the surveys to
exist. I would also ensure that the number of questions each survey contained was limited in hopes to
increase accuracy and completion due to the limited amount of time needed for completion. In the
questions asked, I would make sure to ask how the summer program impacted the participants.
Additionally, I would also survey the parents of the participants to get a take on what their perceptions
of the summer program were. Criterion Following revamping the scope of the evaluation a criterion in
which the data will be compared would be established. The established criterion would be presented in
the evaluation in length. The current evaluation seems to arbitrarily make a judgment of the worth of
the program, and there were no references to the criterion process used.

Chevrolet Comparison
The Chevrolet Cobalt is a compact front wheel drive model and successor to the popular Chevrolet
Cavalier. Originally offered in sedan, coupe, and supercharged versions, the latter was eventually
replaced by a turbo. Following a six year run, the Cobalt was replaced by the Chevrolet Cruze.
Chevrolet Cobalt: 2005 to 2010
The Chevrolet Cobalt was introduced in 2005 and built through 2010. This model replaced the
Cavalier and was itself replaced by the Cruze. Buyers considering the Cobalt might also explore the
nearly identical Pontiac G5 built from 2007 to 2009. Both are front wheel drive models with room for
five.

LS, and LT trims. When released, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The sedan also received an SS edition with both models powered by a naturally aspirated 2.4 liter
engine and the SS Supercharged powered by the 2.0 liter, four cylinder engine.
Beginning in 2007, Chevrolet rolled out a new audio system, wheel packages, and a new steering
wheel. Additional trim shuffling took place in 2008. The SS coupe and SS sedan were renamed the
Sport coupe and the Sport sedan, respectively. Previous optional equipment, including an MP3 player,
XM radio, and side impact airbags were now standard. A new stability control system was introduced.
For 2009, the Sport coupe and Sport sedan models were eliminated, along with the 2.4 liter engine
powering them. An upgraded 2.2 liter engine was introduced. Bluetooth connectivity was added as
well. Other changes included making OnStar telematics standard across the model line, an iPod
compatible USB port was added to the radio, and new low rolling resistance tires were introduced.
The 2010 Cobalt is mostly a carryover model with a new My Link telematics and trim package
introduced. A power sunroof and performance display were made standard on the Cobalt SS

  • 2. Air Canada s Business Strategy Essay Over the years Air Canada s business strategy has changed and has been reconstructed a number of times. Air Canada s mission has always remained the same, connecting Canada and world (Air Canada, 2016), but their visions and goals, have transformed. Air Canada s early strategy was to grow the business, with minimal concern about their staff members and customers. Without any benefits or rewards their staff felt underappreciated. Their customers felt as though their feedback wasn t being heard but in the eyes of Air Canada as long as their business was expanding, they were satisfied. This was evident with the purchase of Canadian Airlines, in 1999 (The National, 2003). With the purchase of this airline, Air Canada also inherited their estimated eight billion dollar debt (The National, 2003). Also inherited from the merger, were underappreciated employees and under trained employees who lacked morale (The National, 2003). In 2003, Air Canada filed for bankruptcy (The National, 2003), this was due to the large financial deficit, the economy and the underappreciated/paid employees. Although, this was a difficult time for the airline, this truly marked the change in how the airline is structured. In 2005, it marked the true return of Air Canada, they reached record breaking revenues and far exceeded anyone s expectation, including their own. Currently Air Canada, is the largest Canadian Airline, which has a lot to do with their change in business strategy. Air Canada is now an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Nores vs. Greek Essay Nores vs. Greek Greek mythology and Roman mythology are almost identical. This is an accepted fact, as it is widely known that the Romans stole the Greek myths. However, it is very interesting to note that the mythology of the Vikings (Norse) has many similarities with the Greek myths. These myths are, by no means, identical to the Greek ones (like the Roman ones are), but there are very distinct commonalities between the two. I see two possible reasons for this besides pure coincidence. The first has to do with the fact that Norse myths were codified during the Viking era: 780 1070. This gives the Norsemen many centuries to become exposed to the Greek (or Roman) myths. The Vikings did travel as far east as the Caspian sea, which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The gods and goddesses are powerful beings capable of super human powers, but nevertheless are characters fraught with very human frailties and flaws. In this way they created gods that had similarities with the common man in the society. This made the gods more tangible and easier to identify with. I think that this was necessary because they were not yet at the societal maturity level to have a single god on a cosmic plane. Most of the comparisons will be examining the similarities between major Greek and Norse gods, as well as creatures, stories and specific symbols which are featured in the mythologies. Some of the gods do not have direct counterparts (Thor, Athena and Loki). However, I will provide possible similarities within the respective mythologies. ASGARD Asgard is sometimes known as Asgarth. It is the realm of the gods and the home of both the Aesir and Vanir. Is is ruled by Odin, the leader of the Norse deities. It is located in the heavens, but is connected to earth by a bridge, known as Bifrost, sometimes referred to as a rainbow. There is also a route from Asgard to the underworld, the domain of Hel. Valhalla, a hall within Asgard, was the palace for fallen kings, warriors who had died in battle and heroes. MT. OLYMPUS Mount Olympus was the home of the Greek gods. It was chosen as their home because of its altitude, for Zeus, the king of the gods, was associated with the sky. Within the mythology, Mt. Olympus was large, foreboding ... • 4. The Fortunate Mistress Sparknotes The introduction of the novel within the Restoration time period sparked a literary revolution involving the ways in which readers and writers alike were able to experiment with the concept of identity, and begin to examine the possibility of individuals functioning outside of their traditional societal roles. One narrative in particular, Defoe s The Fortunate Mistress, works to challenge the prevailing roles of women in society by considering the possibility of a woman that is able to be fully disconnected from the standards of patriarchal society through the dominance of her finances, sexual freedom, and overall independence from conventional roles. Since the publication of this novel, the majority of literary critics have interpreted Daniel Defoe to be misogynist and anti feminist in nature when taking into consideration how he depicts Roxana at the end of his story. In this manner, when using the ending of the novel as the focal point in the narrative, the argument can be made that Defoe s portrayal of Roxana as the female who attempted to go against the societal norms, and failed as a result of her own vanity, was purposeful for demonstrating that if women rejected their marital roles, they would be unsuccessful in their endeavors. On the contrary, critics who view the ending in such a way have belittled the true importance of the narrative, and neglected to recognize the significance of Roxana s mentality within the neoclassical time period. His most famous research was done during the late 19th and early 20th century, in which during this time he wrote one of his most famous works Civilization and Its Discontents. In this book of his, Freud manages to draw on many Enlightenment ideals and challenges some of these notions through his theoretical analysis on the subconscious mind. In this book of his, Freud proposes that individual s minds are divided into three distinct parts comprised of the ego, super ego, and the id. In his analysis on these three parts of the mind, Freud encourageous individuals to regard their mind in emotional qualities that are characterized by the id, ego, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In this paper of his, Marx tackles many Enlightenment ideals but also challenges many with his analysis on class struggle (bourgeoisie vs. working class), capitalism, and the development of society as a result of these struggles. Marx s main proposal in The Communist Manifesto is that of historical materialism , which is basically self divided into two parts: historically and materialistic. Historically, Marx defines history as a change from the past to present in which the present relies on analysis of the past to ensure progress. Furthermore, Marx regards that relations in the past have continually been subject to historical change consequent upon the change in historical conditions .7 The analysis of the past is consequent with the present as it is dependent with progress. Without analyzing the past, Marx is stating that society in general will not learn from the class struggles that so aptly occupied society during that time. The materialistic aspect of this, is prominent through Marx s explanation that the economy of a society does not necessarily lead to distress and chaos in society, furthermore the economy of a society is not to blame. In many ways Marx says that following every historical period, the prevailing mode of economic production and exchange, and the social organization necessarily following from it, form the basis upon which it is built up [...] .8 ... • 8. The Role Of Recording Industry Association Of America Essay The Role of the RIAA in Protecting Intellectual Copyright This paper examines the role of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in protecting the intellectual copyright of recordings from illegal downloading, which continues to be a major problem for the recording industry despite repeated efforts to stop this practice by consumers. This role of the RIAA relates to the business and economic aspects of the recording industry and illegal downloads from online platforms. The RIAA s role in addressing illegal downloading has involved lobbying governments for enforcement of copyrights, litigation against private parties (individuals and organizations), engaged in illegal downloads, and marketing campaigns encouraging customers to refrain from engaging in illegal downloads. The paper begins with a background on how the technological developments led to the problem of illegal downloads before examining the role of the RIAA in curbing this practice. • 9. Aromatic Substation Aromatic substances are cyclic and planar molecules with resonances bonds that exhibit molecular stability. Most aromatic substances are a derivative of a benzene ( aromatic hydrocarbon) ring. The structure of aromatic substances is defined by the cylic overlapping sp2 hybridized atoms, figure 1. Benzene rings are nonpolar, insoluble in water and very stable due to the delocalized pi electrons. This stability of benzene rings means that no many reactions can occur with some aromatic substances. There are a few substitution reactions in an aromatic substances replaces a hydrogen within a functional group(s). Aromatic substation occurs when an electrophile replaces a hydrogen on a benzene ring. In aromatic substation, the aromatic ring attacks an electrophilic molecule. This causes the double bond between two carbons to break, leaving one carbon with the electrophilic attachment and the other becomes a carbocation. Due to the carbocation, the aromatic ring is not stable, and requires the replacement of that double bond. The nucleophile in the solvent will grab the hydrogen on the carbon with the attached electrophile. The electrons from that hydrogen will reform the double between the carbocation and ... Twenty six billion dollars over budget, almost four years late, and several quality issues surround the innovative new aircraft (Ausick 2014). This paper explores Boeing s approach of materializing the Dreamliner from a project management perspective by comparing the company s undertakings with project management principles. Three factors define the success of any project; these are time, cost, and quality (Wysocki and RK 2013: 4). This paper identifies three main facets of project management that were inappropriately implemented, namely; Resourcing, Stakeholder Management, and Risk Management and how their improper implementation led to the violation of the three constraints (i.e. time, cost, and quality). The paper is divided into three sections, the first of which will establish a timeline of events. The Sacramental Research Paper The Sacramental of the Rosary Growing up in a Catholic family and attending Catholic school, my aunt, Sister Antonella Bayer, experienced many sacraments and sacramentals throughout her life. At school, she had the holy water fonts to make the sign of the cross when coming into class. Her home environment consisted of praying before bed with her mother, and praying the litanies with her father during Forty Hours and Holy Week services. As she grew up, she absolutely connected with one sacramental in general which was the rosary. • 13. Internal Conflict In Hamlet What a piece of work is a man! (Shakespeare 2.2.265), Hamlet exclaims, so accurately describing the human condition. Shakespeare shows a deep understanding of the human mind: humans act according to either their reason or emotions. According to Classical thought, which was renewed in the Elizabethan era, the traditional four elements earth, fire, water, and air form the basis of psychological classification known as the four humors: melancholic, choleric, phlegmatic, and sanguine. These humors or temperaments were thought to explain a person s physical, mental, and moral characteristics. A person was thought to be perfectly balanced only when no one of the four temperaments dominated, and therefore judgements are not made based more heavily on thoughts or passions (Kazlev). Shakespeare s Hamlet suggests that reason is a gift given to man that should be used and controlled so that man neither wastes time contemplating action nor makes rash decisions, and can thus be perfectly balanced. Throughout the drama, Hamlet experiences an internal conflict between his reason and his passion. This internal conflict causes Hamlet to only act instinctively when his reason is overtaken by his passion (Cohen 75). This is seen first when Hamlet decides to go alone with the ghost. His depression overwhelms his reason, and he therefore has no regard for his own life. He says, Why, what should be the fear? / I do not set my life at a pin s fee (Shakespeare 1.4.64 5). After meeting with the ghost, however, he begins to question whether he can trust what the spirit told him. This doubt restricts him from acting against Claudius: Yet I, A dull and muddy mettled rascal, peak Like John a dreams, unpregnant of my cause, And can say nothing no, not for a king, Upon whose property and most dear life A damned defeat was made. Am I a coward? (2.2.487 92). Hamlet chastises himself for not taking action to avenge his father. He answers his question of cowardice in Act 3 when he says, Thus conscience does make cowards of us all. He is aware that his overthinking is restraining him. However, he decides he must have absolute proof of the King s guilt (2.2.519 25). By waiting until he knows for certain that Claudius committed the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Conclusion This study has indicated that there are some differences as to what determines the direction of bilateral trade flows across countries or regional economic blocs. The motives behind the formation of such arrangements disparate from region to region hence, there are differing arguments that explain the rationale for their set up. Developing countries regional blocs in general, African ones in particular, are often criticized for being politically oriented and this view has been partially supported by the study. From the above regression results and the subsequent explanations, it could be concluded that trade flow in the study area is positively impacted by real GDP in both trading partners and is statistically significant. It is also directly proportional to the population number in both countries, although the population number in the trading partners of countries in the study area is not statistically significant. In addition, regression results from the dummy variables, colonial history, membership of both trading partners in East African Community, and common membership of both trading partners in regional economic integrations outside EAC, reveals that trade is positively influenced by these variables and is statistically significant. Another group of variables that significantly explain trade in EAC are distance between the centers of the trade partners and number of land locked countries in the country pair. Social Roles for Men and Women in India through Traditional Hindu Texts Throughout this essay, I will discuss the social roles of men and women in the home, within rituals and within creation. I will look at the roles of a husband and wife, as well as Goddesses and Kings. The main traditional texts that support these roles are the Rg Veda, the Kalpa Sutras, the epics (the Ramayana and Mahabharata), Tryambaka, and Manu Smrti. They are believed to lay the foundations for order in society, as well as giving people the knowledge of their duty. I will show how these separate texts have defined roles within castes and genders and show how their different styles of writings have defined roles in different ways. A person s role in society ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The first three are called the twice born. This is brought about by the initiation ceremony (upanayana) at which they are ceremonially reborn and assume the sacred thread. The Saudras are not permitted to perform this ceremony. There is also a class called the `Untouchables , which are outside the caste system as they are too polluted and contact with whom was considered polluting. These people deal with things that are seen as polluted, e.g. bodily fluid and certain animals. All these different classes determine a person s duty in society. A person s duty in known as their `Dharma . This is dependant on their caste, as well as their age and Gender. For example a woman s duty in the Brahmanical caste would be different from a mans. This is mainly because a woman is prohibited from reading the Veda. It is believed that this is one of the six things that cause a woman to fall. This was written in the Stridharmapaddhati of Tryambakayajvan, (guide to the religious status and duties of women). A person s age also comes into account. The main sources of Dharma are believed to be in the Veda, the Kalpa Sutras, as well as the epics, the Ramayana and Mahabharata. All these texts have helped to shape what peoples duties are in life, as I will show later on in this essay. The main feature that dharma brings to society is a sense of social structure or ... • 32. In Addition To Saving And Bequest Channels, The Proposed In addition to saving and bequest channels, the proposed model in this paper identifies two additional channel of child labor. These are heterogeneity in child s ability, which causes heterogeneity in the cost of education, and differential future expectation of parents depending on their socio economic background. I attempt to capture these four channels using a number of variables. For saving, I use income of household head and for bequest, I use whether the household owns any house. Here income of household head may be under reported or may have some types of measurement errors, so, we use several other variables to instrument it. Ownership of a house is used to capture bequest as housing price is very high almost across the country ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Thus, I use household head s gender ($Head_female$), Household head s sector of employment ($Sector$), religion of household head ($Religion$), and the location of household ($Urban$). Using these variables I estimate the following models: Where $y$ is child s working hours per day, $ extbf{X}={Urban, Sector, Female, Head_literacy, Religion, House,$ $ Head_income, Head_female, Dropout_ability, Dropout_cost, Dropout_income}$, $ extbf{Z}= {Urban, Head _sector,$ $ Female, Head _literacy, House, Land, Num _hhchld, Head _literacy, Head_age, Dropout_ability,$ $Dropout_cost, Religion, Dropout_income, TV, Head_female}$, $Q_{N}(eta) = g_{N}(eta) W_{N}g_{N}(eta)$, $g_{N}(eta)=frac{1}{N} sum_{i=1}^{N}Z epsilon$, and $W$ is a $N imes N$ positive semi definite matrix. The location of this barricade was in Rue Visconti, Paris, between Rue Bonaparte and Rue de Seine. Rue Visconti is a one way street that is 140 meters long and 3 meters wide. They used oil barrels and put them up on June 27, 1962. Christo and Jeanne Claude worked together on the barricade, taking a total of eight hours to get it all done. The iron/steel oil barrels were stacked on top of each other, forming a wall/barricade of some sort. • 35. Overview of Barbara Dossey s Nursing Theory Nursing Theory: Barbara Dossey Context of the development of the theory Barbara Dossey is truly a visionary in the holistic nursing movement and her theory is able to further the development of holistic nursing in its entirety as well as bolster patient outcomes. The context in which the theory was developed was in relation and connection to the products and ideas of Ken Wilbur, in an attempt to fortify the fundamental concept of healing (Dossey Keegan, 2003). Dossey s four quadrant model in certain respects is a reaction to and influenced by the work of Wilbur, namely that his volumes stress that no particular or sole researcher, philosopher or theorist can describe, establish or clarify the constituents of reality (Dossey Keegan, 2003). Dossey and Keegan emphasize that the obstacle and objectives in nursing is to bolster one s integral awareness while boosting one s overall strengths and abilities in nursing in general (2003). Ultimately, the theory developed in the context of the belief that healing occurs when the delicate balance and harmony of body and mind and spirit is successfully addressed and how ancient ideas can be effectively integrated in the realm of caring for patient in everyday living (Dosseydossey.com). Nursing Conceptualized in the Theory This theory recognizes how the meta paradigm of nurse, individual, health/wellbeing, surrounding environment (also known as society) have to be acknowledged (Dossey Keegan, 2013). A combined deficit in retirement plan savings of over $4 trillion for payees between the ages of 25 and 64. A Quick History of Retirement: Then and Now In 1875, the first private pension plan was created by the American Express Company. Because most employers were not publically traded companies, they were rare. A series of revenue laws passed by congress from 1921 1929 helped private pensions grow by safeguarding funds from federal taxation and providing tax credits to employers who contribute to an employee pension plan. Amazingly, private pension plans survived the stock market crash in October of 1929 with only a three percent of workers losing their plans. Secondly, in Act 1 Scene 4, he describes Queen Mab as one who gives people what they want, in her dreams. For example, On courtiers knees, that dream on curtsies straight; O er lawyers fingers, who straight dream on fees; O er ladies lips, who straight on kisses dream. (W. However, I would first address the survey and interview questions, and how the observation process occurred. Before doing anything else I would attempt to make sure that these questions being evaluated were being asked in a manner suited to the age appropriateness of the participants. This may entail that several different versions of the surveys to exist. I would also ensure that the number of questions each survey contained was limited in hopes to increase accuracy and completion due to the limited amount of time needed for completion. In the questions asked, I would make sure to ask how the summer program impacted the participants. Additionally, I would also survey the parents of the participants to get a take on what their perceptions of the summer program were. Criterion Following revamping the scope of the evaluation a criterion in which the data will be compared would be established. The established criterion would be presented in the evaluation in length. The current evaluation seems to arbitrarily make a judgment of the worth of the program, and there were no references to the criterion process used. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
