Background Information Producing butter is a task that can easily be done at home. Butter is one of
the most highly concentrated forms of fluid milk that is made simply by agitating heavy cream
(Douma, 2008). There are several methods of agitation, including shaking, stirring, whisking, and
blending. In this experiment, all four methods were used to determine which mixing method produced
the most milk fat or butter. First of all, in order to understand the making of butter, one must be
familiar with milk and its composition. The components of milk include 87% water, 4% fat, 5% sugar
or lactose, 2.6% casein, .7% albumen, and .7% ash (Ross, 1914). Milk is an emulsion, which is a type
of colloid. A colloid is a homogenous mixture in which large molecules are suspended throughout
another substance. Under this category, there are also two types of emulsions: oil droplets in water or
water droplets in oil (BBC, 2014). Milk is an example of an emulsion of evenly distributed fat
particles throughout water. In this experiment, heavy cream was used because it contains a greater

I can t go to a liberal arts college. My parents are conservatives! I told my eighth grade teacher. He
laughed and then went on to explain what a liberal arts college actually is. Like many others, I
believed a common misperception about the liberal arts. In The New Liberal Arts by Sanford J. Ungar,
the writer explains wrong ideas about the liberal arts to a college based audience including students,
professors, and administration. He explains the importance and relevance of a liberal arts education.
Ungar claims that it is a better investment than narrow, specific technical training because it prepares
students for career placement by giving them skills in communicating effectively, thinking creatively,
and understanding comprehensively. I agree with Ungar and I think he successfully explains the
reasons why liberal arts are important and relevant in today s society.
First, the logic of the article focuses on why students should have a balanced, well rounded
understanding of the world to be successful in life rather than having a career based education that is

The movie that I decided to review was The Fate of the Furious. This is the 8th film in the Fast and the
Furious series. I was finally able to see this film on April 21, 2017 at 7 o clock in the evening at The
Junction Megaplex theatre in Ogden, Utah. This movie is directed by F Gary Gray and the music
editor is Brain Tyler. Dominic Toretto (Dom) and his newly wedded wife Letty are celebrating their
honeymoon in Cuba and don t return to the United States. Dom then went into town to get some
groceries and discovers a lady named Cipher trying to fix her vehicle. While Dom is looking at what is
missing, the lady addresses Dom by his name. She wants to work with him and shows him something

Recently, I read the book The Happiness Trap by Russ Harris and Bev Aisbett and at first I really
hated the book. It was patronizing, belittling and used an excess amount of exclamation marks. It also
said things such as let your mind chatter away like a radio in the background which I do not agree
with at all. I think that you should always pay attention to your emotions and thoughts, and that
dealing with them is much different than ignoring them. I overlooked this line, however and continued
