County Show Observation
The Panola county show is a livestock show where every school in Panola county comes out and
shows their animal. You can show chickens, rabbits, goats, lambs, pigs, and cows. I showed a goat my
very first year I started to show. But after that year I have always shown a pig for our Panola county
show. I usually get my pig at the end of October and keep him until February 24th whenever I sell
him. Every morning I wake up and go feed him before I get ready for school. After school, I come
home and walk him and then feed him. Whenever it s show week we weigh pigs in on Wednesday to
see what class they go into. A class is what your pig goes into depending on his weight. He goes in the
same class as pigs that are his same weight or around

How Does Lyndon B Johnson Use Rhetoric In We Shall Overcome
In Lyndon B. Johnson s speech We Shall Overcome he uses rhetorical technique. He uses rhetoric to
get his point across that African American citizens deserve equal rights to vote. In his speech he talks
about how America needs to act on the things it promised to all citizens. He says that America is
lacking dignity and they are not fighting for all to have freedom. He wants America to right wrongs,
serve men, and do justice.
First, Lyndon claims that the issue of voting rights for African American citizens challenges America s
values and denying this right to all citizens is an injustice. He justifies this claim throughout his
speech. For example, he says in one part that it is the duty of Americans to right social wrongs and
pursue justice for all citizen. Another example, he says there is no reason for anyone to be held back
from voting and they are only held back because they are black. This justifies his claim because it
supports the idea that it is an injustice to keep African Americans from voting and it s only happening
because of the unjust treatment of blacks. In this part of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This claim is supported when he talks about the trials African Americans have to go through to vote;
the trials being impossible. African American people would go to register to vote and be told that the
day was wrong, the time was late, or the registering officials were absent. If they did register they
would be disqualified for not spelling out their middle name or if they abbreviated a word. If they
managed to fill out an application correctly, they would be given a rigorous test that was impossible to
pass. These tasks were only given to African Americans. In the part he talks about these trials he uses
repetition and connotative diction to get his logical point

Analysis Of Doubt By John Patrick Shanley
Have you ever had a feeling of doubt? In the play Doubt by John Patrick Shanley the reader is left
with a lot of doubt because Father Flynn, one of the main characters, is being persecuted for sexually
harassing a young boy in his class. In this play a pastor by the name of Father Flynn is being
investigated because Sister Aloysius is suspicious that he has been sexually harassing a young boy by
the name of Donald in their school. Based on the evidence in Patrick Shanley s play, Doubt: A Parable,
I conclude that Father Flynn is not guilty, because Sister A does not like Flynn and Sister A doubts all
of her wrong doings after all of this commotion. There are also a lot of small reasons why he should
be not guilty. The first reason why I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While Sister A is talking to Sister James she ends the conversations by saying, I have doubts! I have
such doubts! (Shanley 58). During this conversation with Sister James, Sister A explains how she has
many doubts with this situation with Flynn and how he has left the school. This is important because
this has more evidence to why I think Flynn is innocent. Sister A explain show she has many doubts
after this situation has gone through. A sub point to this argument is that Sister A explains that she lied
about making a phone call to the previous church Flynn went to: I was Lying. I made no such call
(Shanley 58). Sister James had thought that Flynn left because Sister A made a phone call that
explained that Flynn had a bad history at previous churches. This is an example of why Flynn is
innocent because Sister A had lied about the phone call she made, so there was no true evidence that
Flynn did anything bad a previous churches. With these two context clues you can conclude that Flynn
should be innocent because there is no clear evidence as to why he should be guilty. On the other hand
others may argue that Flynn is guilty because he had a private discussion with Donald who was a
student in the class. When Donald came back to class, he was acting strangely and he had alcohol
under his breath: The boy acted strangely when he returned to class...there was alcohol under his
breath (Shanley 31). This is an

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Carnival Corporation
Carnival Corporation PLC
Internal Assessment
Alyssia Ashley Olarte
School of Travel
University of Hawaii at Manoa
TIM 350
November 17, 2017 Key Internal Forces
Carnival Corporation plc is a global contender with the title of the world s largest cruise and leisure
travel company. The goal of this assessment is to analyze the strengths and weaknesses with the
financial ratio analysis of the company along with conducting an internal factor evaluation matrix to
view the status of the company in comparison with their top competitor, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.
Top strengths that Carnival Corporation plc has to their advantage would be their strong brand and
major control of the market share. Containing a strong brand portfolio with a total of 10 well known
brands operating about 102 ships. Such brands include Carnival Cruise Lines, Holland America Line,
Princess Cruises and Seabourn in North America; AIDA Cruises, Costa Cruises, Cunard, Ibero
Cruises, P O Cruises (Australia) and P O Cruises (UK) under the Europe, Austrailia Asia segments.
Along with Holland America Princess Alaska Tour and the Canadian Yukon (Olarte, 2017). The
company is also the largest cruise company in the world in terms of cruise passengers with a market
share of about 47% followed by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd with a market share of 23%
(Cederholm, 2015).
Example of weaknesses that Carnival Corporation plc has is their safety record. In early 2012, the
Costa Concordia struck off the coast of Isola del Giglio, Italy. In 2013, Carnival Cruise Line s
Triumph reported a fire, which left the ship adrift in the Gulf of Mexico (Carnival Corporation plc
SWOT Analysis, 2016). Among the other cruises, Carnival Cruise Lines have notably been the worse.
In 2009, the Center for Disease Control tracked all major outbreaks, about 56% on Carnival cruise
lines compared to a 48% average market share from 2009 2011. The company is also accounted for
worse safety record for persons lost at sea. Since 2000, about 179 disappearances happened with
Carnival Cruise Line alone (Levin , B., Jones, J., Slade, T., 2012).
Strengths:
1. Carnival Corporation plc has more revenue per employee ratio than Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.

The Thirst Project
It was the summer of 2008 in southern California when a mere eight college students were exposed to
the true horrors of the global water crisis. After they learned that 1.1 billion people were suffering
from a serious lack of safe and clean drinking water, these college students had raised an astounding
$1,700 on their own. They had been able to raise a good amount of money for a community to have
safe and clean drinking water. What more could they do? However, schools began to reach out to these
eight college students. That was when they realized that there were so many organizations that spoke
and helped with the water crisis, yet none of them were targeted towards the youth. One of the most
important agendas of the Thirst Project was

Evaluation of Erin Brockovich Leadership Essay
It takes a very strong, dedicated leader to take the road less traveled by in order to stand behind what
they believe is right or wrong. The easy route may seem more appealing to most because there is no
challenge and you can almost always predict the outcome. Dr. Ronald W. Roskens, an internationally
known and respected leader, gave a speech titled, Ethical Leaders: The Wide and Easy Way, and
stated, Leaders can choose the easy way out, or they can attempt to apply ethics to their decisions and
actions. True leaders are principled individuals, who assume their positions because they have earned
the respect and, in certain sense, the allegiance of others. This is the perfect definition of an ethical
leader. Julia Roberts portrays ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is clear that Erin Brockovich contains all seven components of this model, which have clearly
outlined her leadership development for the greater good. The steps in ethical decision making are as
follows: 1. Stop and think, 2. Clarify goals, 3. Determine facts, 4. Develop Options, 5. Consider
consequences, 6. Choose, 7. Monitor and modify (Josephson, 2002). These seven steps are shown in
this short scene as well. First Erin thought of all of the possibilities. Then she realized that convincing
Ed to expand the lawsuit is her goal. They determined the facts that it would be a hard case, PG E is a
huge company, and they would need more evidence. After that, Erin stated the options to either let it
go, knowing that PG E is poisoning and harming people or fight for justice. Ed stated that PG E could
burry them in paperwork and appeals and put them in debt. Finally they chose to expand the lawsuit
despite all the possible consequences. And then Ed proceeded to tell Erin to modify her research to
prove PG E are aware that they were poisoning and harming people. There are six pillars of character
that describe an ethical leader: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship
(Josephson, 2002). One scene that depicts these six characteristics in Erin Brockovich is in the end
when she gives Donna Jensen the news that PG E was had settled for $338 million with

Thoreacic Aortic Aneurysm Research Paper
Imagine a main water pipe, one that supplies a major city and all outlying communities with their
main water supply; suddenly that pipe bursts and floods the entire area and all cities. The devastation
is felt for miles away. This is what happens when a Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm occurs in a patient. The
Cleveland Clinic states that thoracic aortic aneurysms affect more than 15,000 people in the United
States, every year. From those 15,000 only about twenty to thirty percent of patients, who made it to
the hospital, survive from the aneurysm. That is only 3000 to 4500 people; the others will usually need
some type of treatment to help them live a longer life. There are certain treatments depending on

Lydia Is Not The Wisest Person
What would you do if you discovered that the person you loved was a liar? In the book Pride and
Prejudice, a character by the name of Lydia falls in love with George Wickham. Lydia ignores
everything that the rest of her family says and marries George Wickham without their consent. All
who know this story and have any common sense can agree that Lydia was not the wisest person. She
makes a poor marriage choice when she decides to run away with Mr. Wickham for three reasons:
Lydia was practically a child, Mr. Bennet her father, does not think too highly of Mr. Wickham, and
Mr. Wickham was not the same man in public as he was in private.
The first factor in her decision is that Lydia is still practically a child. Lydia, being very immature ...

Wickham is not the same man in public as he is in private. Having a dreadful habit of gambling, Mr.
Wickham s debt steadily increased. Not having many finances with which to provide for Lydia meant
that she does not have a solid future. Also, Mr. Wickham is irresponsible with what little he does have.
George Wickham successfully manipulates many of the people whom he encounters to suit his
purposes.
Some people believe that Lydia made the correct decision when she chose to marry George Wickham.
During the early 1800s women were brought up to be able to run the house and not necessarily to be
well educated individuals. Marrying well and carrying on the legacy of the family was the most
important thing for women of that time. Her desperate need for attention has a major impact on Lydia
s choice. Since Lydia often acts like her mother, she does not think things through. Not to mention the
fact that being caught up in the thrills of love Lydia fell for Mr. Wickham, and cannot be swayed to
reconsider. Even though some people believe that Lydia made the correct decision by marrying Mr.
Wickham, she did not think through what consequences her actions could have on her future, and did
not worry about how her love, George Wickham, would provide for her or their

The London Inter Bank Lending Rate
Introduction
LIBOR, the London inter bank lending rate, is considered to be one of the most important interest
rates in finance, upon which trillions of financial contracts rest. The London Interbank Offered Rate (
LIBOR ) is often called the world s most important number,
As well as helping to decide the price of other transactions, it is also used as a measure of trust in the
financial system and reflects the confidence banks have in each other s financial health.
Libor acts as the rate at which the world s most preferred borrowers are able to borrow money, and as
an indicator for less preferred borrowers. The Libor is not important for just financial institutions, but
is also relevant to the common man. This benchmark for short term interest rates is used for retail
products such as college loans, credit card rates, student loans, and adjustable rate mortgages which is
roughly a ten trillion dollar market.
History
Begining of the 1980s, the London financial market saw an increasing number of banks actively
trading new instruments. As attractive as these new instruments like the forward rate agreement
seemed to the banks, they were apprehensive of the rates which had to be agreed upon before entering
a contract. To solve this problem, the banks turned to the British Bankers Association (BBA) to create
a uniform measure which could act as a benchmark for the new instruments. This uniform rate had the
ability to facilitate the operation of markets and allow more

Dualist View On Identity
Identity criteria are a main component of who a person actually is, central elements of how someone
sees who they are and essential properties are urged to determine a person s identity. How
philosophers view the soul is essential one s personality. The duelists believe that wherever the soul
goes, that s where the mind goes. The dualists view is based off of the fact that there is more to our
brain and ourselves than just the physical aspect, the soul strongly supports this claim. Materialism
argues against the duelists because they only believe in the physical component of the world, in their
eyes a soul does not exist. Lastly, in the psychological view, John Locke implemented memory into
personal identity. Leibniz and Reid challenged Locke s ideas and came up with a reasonable
conclusion. Personal identity can be defined is through identity theft, but it is the central elements of
how someone perceives themselves to determine who they actually are. One is that a single soul, one
and the same, has been with this body I call mine since it was born. The other is that one soul was
associated with it until five years ago and then another, psychologically similar, inheriting all the old
memories and beliefs, took over. A third hypothesis is that every five years a new soul takes over. A
fourth is that every five minutes a new soul takes over Weirob views souls by being able to move from
one body to the next without us knowing, the duelists strongly disagree with this theory.

Bone Skeletal System
Bones are the organs that hold the framework of the human body. Not only do they keep our bodies
erect, they also house and protect organs, provide mineral and triglyceride storage, allow movement,
produce hormones and blood cell formation (hematopoiesis). Cells of bone tissue contains major cells
that build bone from matrix secretion (osteoblast) and breaks down bone (osteoclast). Both cells are a
vital factor in bone growth, healing, and remodeling. Other important cells include osteogenic cells,
osteocytes, and bone lining cells. Osteogenic cells mitotically divide and later form into osteoblasts.
Osteocytes are aged bone cells that no longer divide, but do perform as stress receptors and respond to
mechanical weight and impact by communicating with osteoclasts and osteoblasts to promote bone
remolding. Finally, bone lining cells work cohesively with osteocytes to maintain bone matrix. ...

The microscopical anatomy of compact bone are composed of osteon, canals/canaliculi, and

weight. Canals perforate though the center of osteons and are filled with blood vessels and nerve
fibers. Interstitial and circumferential lamellae help fill gaps between osteons and provide support to
long bones against twisting. Spongy bone has no particular structure and is scattered. Its function is

Greek Mythology Importance
What is mythology? Greek mythology has been around ever since there were Greeks to tell them. This
started at around 1900 BC and ended at approximately 146 BC when the romans conquered the
Greeks. Because the Greeks were so old they didn t know much about earth such as why there is night
and day, why there are different seasons, why there is lightning and many other things. So they used
Mythology to explain these things. In those day s Greek mythology was a little like Christianity in that
some people believed while others didn t believe.
What is the importance of Greek mythology? Greek mythology was very important to the Greeks way
back in those days because it was how they explained natural events. For example, they used Greek
mythology to explain how the humans were made, what happens to them when they die and how the
earth came to be. But these days there is more scientific ways of knowing these things. For example,

THE UNAVOIDABLE QUESTION
Wherever we are and in whatever time we happen to live, we cannot avoid asking the basic questions
of who we are, where we came from, what we are doing here, and where we are going. In everyone s
life, especially when one is young, these basic questions arise in the mind, often with force, and
demand answers from us. Many simply push them aside or remain satisfied with established answers
provided by others in their family or community. In traditional societies such answers always came
from the teachings of religion, and to a great extent they still do for the majority of people in many
parts of the world. But there have always been and still are today the few who take the question who

question. And of discovering our real identity. Throughout the ages religions have sought to teach us

levels of reality issuing from the One, who alone is ultimately real, and provides teachings that, if put
into practice, lead us back to the One through a path of spiritual effort combined with joy and felicity.

The Departed Narrative
While The Departed is not Scorsese s best work it is a step up and a more well crafted film than its
predecessor Infernal affairs. Because of the how the original screenplay had set out to be a Chinese

action. That directly brings the audience into the screen, couples of full shot that adds significant to
the hong kong scenery, a global economy city with triads wars. Infernal affair was far more fast paced
in compared to The Departed, where Scorsese kept the camera more grounded, allowed the characters
to develop more, and in turns the movie had a longer runtime.

DISCUSSION To evaluate how successful our experimentation was in showing H reflex, only
comparisons with numeric values and trends in data within literature are applicable. The results which
were shown in figure 1 for the CMAPs where the amplitude of the CMAPs increased as the perceived
tension increased were to be expected. Because in order for a greater force to be applied there must be
increased force of contraction, which the amplitude demonstrates, through electrical activation
intensity. Also frequency of contraction may be increased aswell, as more muscle fibres are recruited
when an increased effort is exerted, however in the figure it is hard to determine whether there has

Wes Anderson Influence
Lukas Hamlescher Dr. Neuendorf COM 320 Preliminary Draft Wes Anderson is a staple in the
independent film community. He writes, directs, and produces most of his films. He takes time to
develop stories unique to him and from each other. Nonetheless, all of Anderson?s films have an
undeniable familiarity between them as he imprints his style on everything he creates. However, if he
did not have inspiration or influences for his films, his creativity and artistic flair may not have a
proper way to be displayed. His films could lack an essential essence whether in diversity of plot or
themes, etc. Perhaps without influences, Anderson would not be a filmmaker at all. Fortunate for all
fans of Anderson, he is inspired and does make films for many all over the world to enjoy. Therefore,

A Study On Childhood Cancer
Background
A study was conducted in Sierra Vista, Arizona and Churchill County, Nevada
concerning an increase in childhood cancer cases between the age of 0.8 and 12.8 years old.
Between the two locations, 14 children with Leukemia were chosen to take place in this study.
The children were compared based off of demographics, urinary and blood levels (metals,
tungsten, pesticides, etc.) as well as location of residence compared to the rest of the U.S.
Population. Variables were used in the determination of whether or not environmental exposure
was the cause of the increase in cancer related cases among children and to determine if this was
indeed a cancer cluster. The results indicated that these findings were not a cancer cluster, but
yet individual cancer cases.
Discussion
The statistical test that was done for table 3 was the geometric mean in order to compare
the three groups. This type of test takes the average of a set of numbers. It is derived by taking
the nth root of the product of n numbers. The geometric means of urinary levels of tungsten in
Sierra Vista, AZ and Churchill County, NV were compared with the levels in the U.S.
population. The test determined that only 20% of the children in AZ had higher levels of
tungsten and about half had levels below the national average. The data for Sierra Vista and
Churchill County are not statistically significant; however, the data for the U.S. Population is

(Fisher 2013:5) The years from 0 7 are a period of human development with the capacity to learn. This
quote links into this assignment as it shows how important the first couple of years in a child s life can
affect them the throughout their life. It shows how important it is to have the pioneers input into the
practice and teaching of children as its important they have the best start in life to help them develop.
In this assignment I am going to compare previous and current pioneers that have and are influencing
the current principles of early year s pedagogy. For example how they are influencing the four
principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This assignment will get me to look at
different views that theorist have to education and how they can be used in current practice. It will
provide me with the information on how they influence early year s pedagogy and current practice.
Throughout this assignment I will be referencing from current reading that I am doing, these will
range from eBooks to articles. I will be using nursery world articles to provide information about each
pioneer and what their work has done for current principles in early year s pedagogy.
The EYFS is a framework for children up to the of five, it sets out the six key areas of learning which
activities that are planned for children should be based upon. It also sets the learning and development
requirements that practitioners must follow for children below the age of five. The EYFS

An Analysis of A Forest Hymn by William Cullen Bryant
A Forest Hymn by William Cullen Bryant The poem A Forest Hymn talk of the origin of all the nature
that surrounds humanity and the activities of these naturally found objects. It gives an indication that
the source of all the nature that we see is God and He is the one who controls their actions in all
aspects and as to that, the poet implores the entire humanity to humble itself before the creator and
controller of nature and worship him, not necessarily in houses or in crowds as both of these are weak
and cannot stand before the might of the creator, but in natural settings. This poem is therefore widely
a statement of pantheism, which is a position that god and nature are the same. According to Matt
Slick, (2011) the word pantheism is derived from Greek words Pan meaning all and the other section
from theos meaning God. This then implies that all nature found in the universe, from the stars,
mountains, planets, wind, rain, storms are all part of what God is hence pantheists contest that God is
all and all nature is part of God. This should not be confused with the Christian perspective that God
created all nature but these are inferior to him and are in no way equal to him. This poem is generally
a pantheism statement exemplified since it equates nature to be having the same powers as God. The
poet indeed starts off by stating clearly that The groves were God s first temples. Ere man learned an
indication that if man is inferior to God, yet God used nature

Music And Cinema Music
The music selected for silent films is an important process that can affect the audience s experience.
Many films rely on music to enhance the action on screen and assist in telling the story. Emilio
Audissino places music selection into two basic categories for silent film music: the first being cinema
music, which acts as a silence filler for the viewer, and the second is film music, with the goal to assist
the film s narrative. For many silent films. the music is primarily cinema music. However, there are
some silent films that rely heavily on music to help convey the action on screen. Metropolis (1927) is
one such film, which used music scored specifically for it.
Gottfried Huppertz began composing the leitmotifs for the score during the early stages of the
production of Metropolis. He created each character s leitmotif through interactions with the actors,
thus strengthening the music s relationship to the film s story. Audissino writes, He would be on the
set to develop the themes for each character as they took form in front of the cameras, and played
parts of the music for the actors to bring them into the proper mood. Huppertz s music became an
integral part of the film and decades later would assist in its restoration. When his original score was
replaced with music from other composers, this affected the film s narrative. Although other scores
could convey the general atmosphere of the film, they lacked the specific emotional connections of

Modern Day Zombies
Today, there are zombies everywhere, they have taken over the planet and wander the streets,
shopping malls and even in public transportation stops. Their heads down unaware of the world
around them. These zombies are either focused on the latest text, tweet, or email, and cannot be
bothered by humans. In today s word smartphones are creating modern day zombies by controlling
them, just like how zombies are being controlled by their disease. Throughout the years a cellphone
meant a portable phone to communicate, In 1973 Matty Copper made the very first phone call ( Wall

cellphones then upgraded, and included various types of apps where people can use social media such

Dramatic Irony In Lamb To The Slaughter
Lamb to the slaughter expresses many literary elements, creating a story about Mary Maloney s
experience with her husband. Dramatic irony is a very critical part of the story, especially while
evaluating the situation. Personally, I think it s right here on the premises. Probably right under our
very noses. What you think Jack? (Roald Dahl 9). She killed her husband with a frozen lamb leg after
discussing troubling news that was never revealed. Mary called the police, who were also her husband
s coworkers. The police never figured out what the weapon was or who killed him. Mary asked them
of a favor to eat the lamb leg cooking in the oven, and the weapon was right under their noses when
they were eating. Additionally, the imagery ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Other animals are also used, for example, oxen to the slaughter. Gift of the Magi exercises many
literary and DIDLS elements as Della tries to salvage her last pennies to buy a meaningful gift for her
husband, Jim. One of the most vital parts of the story is situational irony. Della, said he, let s put our
Christmas gifts away and keep them a while. They re too nice to use now. I sold the watch to get the
money to buy the combs. And now I think we should have our dinner (O. Henry 1). Sadness is
expressed as they come to realize that they both bought gifts that were unable to use the gifts they
received. Della had sold her hair to have enough money to buy a watch for Jim, and she got a comb.
Jim sold his watch to buy the combs for Della, and she bought him a watch. This is considered
situational irony because the situation is reversed. Another important element of Gift of the Magi is
foreshadowing. The James Dillingham Youngs were very proud of two things which they owned. One
thing was Jim s gold watch. It had once belonged to his father. And, long ago, it had belonged to his
father s father. The other thing was Della s hair. The two most important things to the James
Dillingham Youngś were their hair and watches, which later they sell to make money to buy new gifts.
They both bought each other gifts which they couldn t use, and it most likely took a toll on their self
esteem. This is

Chariots Of Fire Research Paper
Even heard of the movie Chariots of Fire? I personally have never seen the full movie until I had to
watch it for class. The movie Chariots of Fire is about two determined young male runners that train
for the 1924 Olympics in Paris. One man is a devoted Christian that runs for God, and refuses to run
on the Sabbath day. The other man is Jewish and just runs to win. The movie talks about the 1920 s
culture, different religions, and the Olympics.
Something that struck me about the movie Chariots of Fire was that the school was an all guy college.
If there are any colleges that are all guys or all girls now; those schools are very rare. Additionally is
that most college are not religious affiliated; the colleges allow more than one religion ... Show more

The professors back in the 1920 s wore judge capes; which is very different for what the professors
wear today. Furthermore the guys wore suits and ties, and the females wear flapper style dress.
Something that really shocked me was that most girls wore hats, so that the couple could hide their
kiss; which is kind of the opposite of now days. Now days in movies and outside of movies people
kiss in public and do not really care who is around them or looking.
Overall no matter where the people went they had their formal wear on for formal dinner, church, to
go to the movie theaters and even track meets. For track meets the track uniform was long shorts, and
a big shorts sleeve shirt. That is way different from the uniform these days. The uniform for track
these days are short shorts, and a tank top shirt, or a unitard for track.
One of the runners in the movie named Eric Liddell is a devoted Christian. Liddell compares faith
with running a race, and runs because he feels His pleasure. He wins for God, and he feels like it
honors Him. Because of Liddell s religion he would not race in 100 meter dash that happened on a
Sunday. He feels like running on a Sunday would be against His law; which is his own personal

story is when the 12 daughters believe that the soldier is asleep so they open the trap door, revealing

Shipping Patented By E Commerce Giant
Anticipatory shipping is a method of shipping patented by e commerce giant Amazon in December
2013. During the normal shipping process, an e commerce retailer or goods manufacturer receives a
customer order specifying the exact address where the product is to be delivered. The company then
prepares the package and hands it over to a shipping service provider such as FedEx for delivery. The
delay of multiple days between order placement and actual delivery is a major impediment to the wide
acceptance of e commerce. It forces e commerce companies to offer incentives like cash on delivery to
their customers. Anticipatory shipping is aimed at cutting the delivery time and improving the
experience for e commerce users. With this technique, a company will ship products even before an
order is placed by a customer. It would specify only a partial address indicating destination
geographical area for delivery. While the packages are in transit, the company will employ advanced
analytics and forecasting techniques to predict which customers would want to buy the shipped
products. Then it could use targeted marketing and sales promotions to induce such customers to buy
the products. If a customer indeed places an order, the company would provide exact delivery address
to the shipping service provider and the products could be delivered much quicker, even on the same
day.

Why Do Businesses Manage Data And Use Graphics
Lesson 10 Essay Why do businesses manage data and use graphics to reveal their overall performance
standings, and what type of graphics, tables, or charts should one use to share communicating
quantitative information to their business customers that s not only effective; but easy to understand?
Businesses manage data in order to review, and share information received by others; which are
displayed by usage of certain graphs that indicates ones performance levels in certain areas. However,
before you can interpret data, the elements must be classified, summarized, and condensed into a
manageable size; while the condensed information is meaningful and can be used to answer your
research questions (Lehman, Dufrene, Walker, 2014, p. 169). The purpose for using these type of
elements is to display your findings in a way that others can relate to, by simply compiling all the data
into a readable analysis technique through the usage of a computer. However, it takes careful planning
as to what graphics to use, depending on what results you and the customers are currently searching
for. That s why there are certain steps to follow when gathering the necessary information before
selecting the right format to put into existence for others to view. The first step is to gather the
information from the survey, then input it into the computer system; so it can be categorized by
importance. This system allows it to be broken down into sections, then divided into categories; by

Different Areas Of The Christian Engineers
Throughout my autoethnography, I will examine a few different areas of the Christian Engineers in
group. I will examine the two different in groups, because one can be a Christian and not an engineer
since they are two distinct groups. Then, I ll examine how being religious in the modern day
workplace can cause tension with co workers. Finally, I will explore how the two overlap, looking at
specifically where engineering ethics can align with the Christian life. To begin, one must ask what is
an in group? Gordon Allport describes an in group as being a collection of people who use we with the
same essential significance (Allport, 1994, p. 173). Allport is saying there is no hard definition of an in
group, it is dependent on others to identify as part of this group. Moreover, to simply be a member of
the in group, one must declare they are a member, and others will identify with such group. To better
understand in groups, let s examine the Christian in group.
One can characterize the Christian in group can as those who follow Christianity and live a Christian
life . The Christian life is being receptive of Jesus into one s life, seeing Him as the ultimate sacrifice
made for all of humanity. With such knowledge, Christians are joyful for the sacrifice made for them,
and they choose to live their lives with such knowledge guiding and motivating them (Novello, 2014,
p.324 326). With this knowledge guiding their lives, Christians hold a strong set of values that they try

This quote pretty much means that physical, emotional and intellectual growth all go hand in hand and
one nor the other is more important. Each type of growth needs the other in order to produce a healthy
growing child.
Brain development and activity is a very important part of early learning. Preschools and early
learning centers should know this and center their direction on the brains ability to develop. At birth,
the infant s brain has 100 billion nerve cells, or neurons will grow and connect with other neurons in
systems that control various functions like seeing, hearing, moving, and expressing emotion. These
systems, activated by repeated experiences, provide the foundation for the brain s organization and
functioning throughout life. The absence of appropriate activation results in the lack of development
of the disappearance of these connections (Child s brain development, 2002). Relationships with other
people early in life are the major source of development of the emotional and social parts of the brain
(Principals of brain development, 2002).
Some areas that help determine a child s abilities and readiness for kindergarten and first grade
include: letter identification, phonetic identification, word identification, story comprehension and
general number identification (Test of Kindergarten/First grade readiness skill,

The Fallout franchise is nearly 20 years old, but the history of the series goes back far more than 20

beyond the post apocalyptic, being publishers of such games as Descent 3, Baldur s Gate, and the
developers of Wasteland. Baldur s Gate and Descent 3 certainly helped shape Interplay into the
developers they would eventually become, but it was Wasteland, first released in 1988 on the Apple 2

they are faced with an array of ethical challenges. A Pharmacist is like a gatekeeper to drugs which
give and take life. It is known of some pharmacies to even put their customers health and their well
being above any profits the pharmacy could make. However, there are some that do not, and when this
occurs, and profits are all that s seen, the results can become tragic.

These conversations include such topics as dietary supplements, herbs, and homeopathic products.
This unethical behavior can be avoided by when pharmacist in America discourage inappropriate
practices and purchasing inappropriate products? Do you think that will ever happen? I believe that it
can pharmacist are expected to be professional and knowledgeable about the drugs they are
dispensing. They are to dispense them in a responsible and ethical manner. I realize that their income
also depends on the sale of their products. However it is still ethical to attempt to protect their
customer s from wasting their money on products that do not or will not work for them. This unethical
behavior has given pharmacist a bad name in many instances. Hopefully we will continue to see more
honest pharmacist operating in America.

History And Evolution Of The Game
Football History and Evolution Aspects of the game can be traced back to the early second and third
century BC in China. Military manuals at the time describe an exercise called Tsu Chu, in which
players used a leather ball filled with feathers and hair. The aim of the game was to get the ball into a
small net fixed on to bamboo canes while attempting the opposing team from doing the same to their
net. Variations of the game are also documented in Egyptian and Greek society (History Channel,
2013) The main rules that make you modern day football we established in England 1854, the
standard dimensions of the ball we later agreed in 1863 and finally the duration of the game was set in
1866.(FIFA). The first football competition in the word, the FA cup was established in 1872 and
involved 50 teams. The first international game of football was played between England and Scotland
in 1872. The game spread fairly rapidly across the world from then on with FIFA being established in
1904 with 7 founding member countries. The first world cup was held in 1930. By 2007 there were
207 member countries part of FIFA representing almost every country in the world. (FIFA, 2016) The
use of technology on the refereeing of the game has been minute as it is feared it would not be 100%
reliable and slow down the game. However recently goal line technology has been introduced to make
sure the ball has crossed the line before a goal can be awarded. On the playing side of the game new

Jane Austen s Pride And Prejudice
Anjan Amarnath Mr. Holaday British Literature/Writing P6 9 May 2016 Clever Title While Jane
Austen s novel Pride and Prejudice is often regarded for it s strong representations of feminism, the
novel strongly portrays the Oedipus complex through the Bentley sisters unexpected and contradictory
relationships. The relationship of a child with their parent is one of the strongest influences in one s
later life and relations, so much so that a child is sometimes forced to repress their true desires. The
novel tracks Elizabeth Bennet s relationship with Mr. Darcy, a relationship which endures a stark,
unexpected change that is a result of Elizabeth s Oedipal complex. Initially, Elizabeth detests Mr.
Darcy, as she views him and a narcissistic man with unreasonably high expectations; however, near
the end of the novel, she becomes infatuated with him and the two end up getting married. Mr. Bennet,
Elizabeth s father, is a very soft spoken man who deliberately defies his wife, his female counterpart,
and doesn t seem to openly express his love for his family very often. That is, with the exception of
Elizabeth who happens to be his favorite daughter, as demonstrated throughout the book through his
distinct affection and care towards her and his indifference towards his other four daughters. Due to
the parallelism between Mr. Darcy and Mr. Bennet, it is clear that Elizabeth s attraction to Mr. Darcy
is deeply rooted within the Oedipus complex. Mr. Bennett expresses a low

Hurricane Harvey
This event was a major catastrophe mostly due to its destructive economic damage on the Gulf Coast
that exceeded even Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The death toll of approximately 82 people attributable
to Harvey is a very small portion compared to Katrina s, but the cost in damages is unrivaled. Current
estimates for Harvey are at $180 billion compared to Katrina s $108 billion (Amadeo, 2017). This
makes Harvey the costliest natural event to ever hit the United States and justifies it as more than just
a disaster or a hazard.
The resiliency of the impacted community can be improved by creating more areas for flood waters to
be contained. Urban planners can assess the areas of Houston that were hit by Harvey or that are most
vulnerable to flood damage and designate these areas as parks for diverting flood waters rather than
rebuilding them. City officials can also limit new infrastructure development in high risk ... Show

By September 16th, the disturbance was steered northwest by a mid level ridge into a region that was
more favorable for development. The 84 ̊ F sea surface temperature, low wind shear, and sufficient
moisture allowed the disturbance to strengthen into a hurricane before reaching the Lesser Antilles. On
the night of September 17th, Hurricane Maria was upgraded to Category 3 with surface winds up to
120 mph. Maria achieved Category 5 as it approached Dominica on September 18th (Moloney, 2017).
This event was a major disaster as the total fatalities to the hurricane was at least 26 deaths in a
country of more than 74,000 people (Pannell, Taguchi Louszko, 2017). The few number of deaths was
unexpected considering that the economic damage to Dominica was more than $1 billion. Compared
to Hurricane Katrina, which caused over $100 billion in damages, the destruction from Hurricane
Maria was not significant enough to justify the event as a

Mist of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
Mist of Avalon breaks through many stereotypes but also strengthens some in some ways. One
stereotype that was torn down was that women are not as strong as men. This is proved to be wrong
when they have Morgaine fighting men and actually being victorious. This movie also breaks the
stereotype that women can t be in power. Most women in this movie hold very high positions. For
example, Viviane is the high goddess of Avalon. Also Morgaine is her second in command. Although
this movie breaks some stereotypes it also reinforces them by putting the blame on a women for not
being able to give the king an heir. Although in this case it really is her fault nobody knows this
information and automatically blames her. These are just a few of the reasons that Mist of Avalon
strengthens and breaks through common stereotypes.
In Mist of Avalon Gwenhwyfar is a sympathetic character because she has so much going against her.
Although she does have her own wrong doings they are acted on out of hurt. For example, she is
cursed with not being able to give the king an heir and this causes turmoil in their marriage. Also in
the end she gets even more bad things thrown her way and then repents for her sins and ends things
with Lancelot. The film doesn t treat physical beauty in a positive or negative way. It is very neutral
about outer beauty compared to inner. This can be proved because Morgos was pretty but she was an
evil person and both Viviane and Morgaine weren t the most

I usually get my pig at the end of October and keep him until February 24th whenever I sell him. Every morning I wake up and go feed him before I get ready for school. After school, I come home and walk him and then feed him. Whenever it s show week we weigh pigs in on Wednesday to see what class they go into. • 3. How Does Lyndon B Johnson Use Rhetoric In We Shall Overcome In Lyndon B. Johnson s speech We Shall Overcome he uses rhetorical technique. He uses rhetoric to get his point across that African American citizens deserve equal rights to vote. In his speech he talks about how America needs to act on the things it promised to all citizens. He says that America is lacking dignity and they are not fighting for all to have freedom. He wants America to right wrongs, serve men, and do justice. First, Lyndon claims that the issue of voting rights for African American citizens challenges America s values and denying this right to all citizens is an injustice. He justifies this claim throughout his speech. For example, he says in one part that it is the duty of Americans to right social wrongs and pursue justice for all citizen. Another example, he says there is no reason for anyone to be held back from voting and they are only held back because they are black. This justifies his claim because it supports the idea that it is an injustice to keep African Americans from voting and it s only happening because of the unjust treatment of blacks. In this part of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This claim is supported when he talks about the trials African Americans have to go through to vote; the trials being impossible. African American people would go to register to vote and be told that the day was wrong, the time was late, or the registering officials were absent. If they did register they would be disqualified for not spelling out their middle name or if they abbreviated a word. If they managed to fill out an application correctly, they would be given a rigorous test that was impossible to pass. These tasks were only given to African Americans. • 4. Analysis Of Doubt By John Patrick Shanley Have you ever had a feeling of doubt? In the play Doubt by John Patrick Shanley the reader is left with a lot of doubt because Father Flynn, one of the main characters, is being persecuted for sexually harassing a young boy in his class. In this play a pastor by the name of Father Flynn is being investigated because Sister Aloysius is suspicious that he has been sexually harassing a young boy by the name of Donald in their school. Based on the evidence in Patrick Shanley s play, Doubt: A Parable, I conclude that Father Flynn is not guilty, because Sister A does not like Flynn and Sister A doubts all of her wrong doings after all of this commotion. There are also a lot of small reasons why he should be not guilty. The first reason why I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While Sister A is talking to Sister James she ends the conversations by saying, I have doubts! I have such doubts! (Shanley 58). During this conversation with Sister James, Sister A explains how she has many doubts with this situation with Flynn and how he has left the school. This is important because this has more evidence to why I think Flynn is innocent. Sister A explain show she has many doubts after this situation has gone through. A sub point to this argument is that Sister A explains that she lied about making a phone call to the previous church Flynn went to: I was Lying. I made no such call (Shanley 58). Sister James had thought that Flynn left because Sister A made a phone call that explained that Flynn had a bad history at previous churches. This is an example of why Flynn is innocent because Sister A had lied about the phone call she made, so there was no true evidence that Flynn did anything bad a previous churches. With these two context clues you can conclude that Flynn should be innocent because there is no clear evidence as to why he should be guilty. On the other hand others may argue that Flynn is guilty because he had a private discussion with Donald who was a student in the class. When Donald came back to class, he was acting strangely and he had alcohol under his breath: The boy acted strangely when he returned to class...there was alcohol under his breath (Shanley 31). • 5. Strengths And Weaknesses Of Carnival Corporation Carnival Corporation PLC Internal Assessment Alyssia Ashley Olarte School of Travel University of Hawaii at Manoa TIM 350 November 17, 2017 Key Internal Forces Carnival Corporation plc is a global contender with the title of the world s largest cruise and leisure travel company. The goal of this assessment is to analyze the strengths and weaknesses with the financial ratio analysis of the company along with conducting an internal factor evaluation matrix to view the status of the company in comparison with their top competitor, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Top strengths that Carnival Corporation plc has to their advantage would be their strong brand and major control of the market share. Containing a strong brand portfolio with a total of 10 well known brands operating about 102 ships. Such brands include Carnival Cruise Lines, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises and Seabourn in North America; AIDA Cruises, Costa Cruises, Cunard, Ibero Cruises, P O Cruises (Australia) and P O Cruises (UK) under the Europe, Austrailia Asia segments. Along with Holland America Princess Alaska Tour and the Canadian Yukon (Olarte, 2017). The company is also the largest cruise company in the world in terms of cruise passengers with a market share of about 47% followed by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd with a market share of 23% (Cederholm, 2015). Example of weaknesses that Carnival Corporation plc has is their safety record. In early 2012, the Costa Concordia struck off the coast of Isola del Giglio, Italy. In 2013, Carnival Cruise Line s Triumph reported a fire, which left the ship adrift in the Gulf of Mexico (Carnival Corporation plc SWOT Analysis, 2016). Among the other cruises, Carnival Cruise Lines have notably been the worse. In 2009, the Center for Disease Control tracked all major outbreaks, about 56% on Carnival cruise lines compared to a 48% average market share from 2009 2011. The company is also accounted for worse safety record for persons lost at sea. Since 2000, about 179 disappearances happened with Carnival Cruise Line alone (Levin , B., Jones, J., Slade, T., 2012). The easy route may seem more appealing to most because there is no challenge and you can almost always predict the outcome. Dr. Ronald W. Roskens, an internationally known and respected leader, gave a speech titled, Ethical Leaders: The Wide and Easy Way, and stated, Leaders can choose the easy way out, or they can attempt to apply ethics to their decisions and actions. True leaders are principled individuals, who assume their positions because they have earned the respect and, in certain sense, the allegiance of others. It is clear that Erin Brockovich contains all seven components of this model, which have clearly outlined her leadership development for the greater good. The steps in ethical decision making are as follows: 1. Stop and think, 2. Clarify goals, 3. Determine facts, 4. Develop Options, 5. Consider consequences, 6. Choose, 7. Monitor and modify (Josephson, 2002). These seven steps are shown in this short scene as well. First Erin thought of all of the possibilities. Then she realized that convincing Ed to expand the lawsuit is her goal. They determined the facts that it would be a hard case, PG E is a huge company, and they would need more evidence. After that, Erin stated the options to either let it go, knowing that PG E is poisoning and harming people or fight for justice. Ed stated that PG E could burry them in paperwork and appeals and put them in debt. Finally they chose to expand the lawsuit despite all the possible consequences. And then Ed proceeded to tell Erin to modify her research to prove PG E are aware that they were poisoning and harming people. There are six pillars of character that describe an ethical leader: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship (Josephson, 2002). Thoreacic Aortic Aneurysm Research Paper Imagine a main water pipe, one that supplies a major city and all outlying communities with their main water supply; suddenly that pipe bursts and floods the entire area and all cities. The devastation is felt for miles away. This is what happens when a Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm occurs in a patient. The Cleveland Clinic states that thoracic aortic aneurysms affect more than 15,000 people in the United States, every year. • 9. Lydia Is Not The Wisest Person What would you do if you discovered that the person you loved was a liar? In the book Pride and Prejudice, a character by the name of Lydia falls in love with George Wickham. Lydia ignores everything that the rest of her family says and marries George Wickham without their consent. All who know this story and have any common sense can agree that Lydia was not the wisest person. She makes a poor marriage choice when she decides to run away with Mr. Wickham for three reasons: Lydia was practically a child, Mr. Bennet her father, does not think too highly of Mr. Wickham, and Mr. Wickham was not the same man in public as he was in private. The first factor in her decision is that Lydia is still practically a child. Lydia, being very immature ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Wickham is not the same man in public as he is in private. Having a dreadful habit of gambling, Mr. Wickham s debt steadily increased. Not having many finances with which to provide for Lydia meant that she does not have a solid future. Also, Mr. Wickham is irresponsible with what little he does have. George Wickham successfully manipulates many of the people whom he encounters to suit his purposes. Some people believe that Lydia made the correct decision when she chose to marry George Wickham. During the early 1800s women were brought up to be able to run the house and not necessarily to be well educated individuals. Marrying well and carrying on the legacy of the family was the most important thing for women of that time. Her desperate need for attention has a major impact on Lydia s choice. Since Lydia often acts like her mother, she does not think things through. Not to mention the fact that being caught up in the thrills of love Lydia fell for Mr. Wickham, and cannot be swayed to reconsider. Even though some people believe that Lydia made the correct decision by marrying Mr. Wickham, she did not think through what consequences her actions could have on her future, and did not worry about how her love, George Wickham, would provide for her or their ... • 10. The London Inter Bank Lending Rate Introduction LIBOR, the London inter bank lending rate, is considered to be one of the most important interest rates in finance, upon which trillions of financial contracts rest. The London Interbank Offered Rate ( LIBOR ) is often called the world s most important number, As well as helping to decide the price of other transactions, it is also used as a measure of trust in the financial system and reflects the confidence banks have in each other s financial health. Libor acts as the rate at which the world s most preferred borrowers are able to borrow money, and as an indicator for less preferred borrowers. The Libor is not important for just financial institutions, but is also relevant to the common man. This benchmark for short term interest rates is used for retail products such as college loans, credit card rates, student loans, and adjustable rate mortgages which is roughly a ten trillion dollar market. History Begining of the 1980s, the London financial market saw an increasing number of banks actively trading new instruments. As attractive as these new instruments like the forward rate agreement seemed to the banks, they were apprehensive of the rates which had to be agreed upon before entering a contract. To solve this problem, the banks turned to the British Bankers Association (BBA) to create a uniform measure which could act as a benchmark for the new instruments. This uniform rate had the ability to facilitate the operation of markets and allow more ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

How philosophers view the soul is essential one s personality. The duelists believe that wherever the soul goes, that s where the mind goes. The dualists view is based off of the fact that there is more to our brain and ourselves than just the physical aspect, the soul strongly supports this claim. Materialism argues against the duelists because they only believe in the physical component of the world, in their eyes a soul does not exist. Lastly, in the psychological view, John Locke implemented memory into personal identity. Leibniz and Reid challenged Locke s ideas and came up with a reasonable conclusion. Personal identity can be defined is through identity theft, but it is the central elements of how someone perceives themselves to determine who they actually are. One is that a single soul, one and the same, has been with this body I call mine since it was born. The other is that one soul was associated with it until five years ago and then another, psychologically similar, inheriting all the old memories and beliefs, took over. A third hypothesis is that every five years a new soul takes over. A fourth is that every five minutes a new soul takes over Weirob views souls by being able to move from one body to the next without us knowing, the duelists strongly disagree with this theory. ... Not only do they keep our bodies erect, they also house and protect organs, provide mineral and triglyceride storage, allow movement, produce hormones and blood cell formation (hematopoiesis). Cells of bone tissue contains major cells that build bone from matrix secretion (osteoblast) and breaks down bone (osteoclast). Both cells are a vital factor in bone growth, healing, and remodeling. Other important cells include osteogenic cells, osteocytes, and bone lining cells. Osteogenic cells mitotically divide and later form into osteoblasts. Between the two locations, 14 children with Leukemia were chosen to take place in this study. The children were compared based off of demographics, urinary and blood levels (metals, tungsten, pesticides, etc.) as well as location of residence compared to the rest of the U.S. Population. Variables were used in the determination of whether or not environmental exposure was the cause of the increase in cancer related cases among children and to determine if this was indeed a cancer cluster. The results indicated that these findings were not a cancer cluster, but yet individual cancer cases. Discussion The statistical test that was done for table 3 was the geometric mean in order to compare the three groups. This type of test takes the average of a set of numbers. It is derived by taking the nth root of the product of n numbers. • 23. An Analysis of A Forest Hymn by William Cullen Bryant A Forest Hymn by William Cullen Bryant The poem A Forest Hymn talk of the origin of all the nature that surrounds humanity and the activities of these naturally found objects. It gives an indication that the source of all the nature that we see is God and He is the one who controls their actions in all aspects and as to that, the poet implores the entire humanity to humble itself before the creator and controller of nature and worship him, not necessarily in houses or in crowds as both of these are weak and cannot stand before the might of the creator, but in natural settings. This poem is therefore widely a statement of pantheism, which is a position that god and nature are the same. According to Matt Slick, (2011) the word pantheism is derived from Greek words Pan meaning all and the other section from theos meaning God. This then implies that all nature found in the universe, from the stars, mountains, planets, wind, rain, storms are all part of what God is hence pantheists contest that God is all and all nature is part of God. This should not be confused with the Christian perspective that God created all nature but these are inferior to him and are in no way equal to him. This poem is generally a pantheism statement exemplified since it equates nature to be having the same powers as God. The poet indeed starts off by stating clearly that The groves were God s first temples. Ere man learned an indication that if man is inferior to God, yet God used nature ... Many films rely on music to enhance the action on screen and assist in telling the story. Emilio Audissino places music selection into two basic categories for silent film music: the first being cinema music, which acts as a silence filler for the viewer, and the second is film music, with the goal to assist the film s narrative. For many silent films. the music is primarily cinema music. However, there are some silent films that rely heavily on music to help convey the action on screen. Metropolis (1927) is one such film, which used music scored specifically for it. Gottfried Huppertz began composing the leitmotifs for the score during the early stages of the production of Metropolis. He created each character s leitmotif through interactions with the actors, thus strengthening the music s relationship to the film s story. Audissino writes, He would be on the set to develop the themes for each character as they took form in front of the cameras, and played parts of the music for the actors to bring them into the proper mood. Huppertz s music became an integral part of the film and decades later would assist in its restoration. When his original score was replaced with music from other composers, this affected the film s narrative. • 32. Shipping Patented By E Commerce Giant Anticipatory shipping is a method of shipping patented by e commerce giant Amazon in December 2013. During the normal shipping process, an e commerce retailer or goods manufacturer receives a customer order specifying the exact address where the product is to be delivered. The company then prepares the package and hands it over to a shipping service provider such as FedEx for delivery. The delay of multiple days between order placement and actual delivery is a major impediment to the wide acceptance of e commerce. It forces e commerce companies to offer incentives like cash on delivery to their customers. Anticipatory shipping is aimed at cutting the delivery time and improving the experience for e commerce users. With this technique, a company will ship products even before an order is placed by a customer. It would specify only a partial address indicating destination geographical area for delivery. While the packages are in transit, the company will employ advanced analytics and forecasting techniques to predict which customers would want to buy the shipped products. Then it could use targeted marketing and sales promotions to induce such customers to buy the products. If a customer indeed places an order, the company would provide exact delivery address to the shipping service provider and the products could be delivered much quicker, even on the same day. How a shipping network operates? A shipping service provider picks the packages from the fulfillment centers of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Why Do Businesses Manage Data And Use Graphics Lesson 10 Essay Why do businesses manage data and use graphics to reveal their overall performance standings, and what type of graphics, tables, or charts should one use to share communicating quantitative information to their business customers that s not only effective; but easy to understand? Businesses manage data in order to review, and share information received by others; which are displayed by usage of certain graphs that indicates ones performance levels in certain areas. However, before you can interpret data, the elements must be classified, summarized, and condensed into a manageable size; while the condensed information is meaningful and can be used to answer your research questions (Lehman, Dufrene, Walker, 2014, p. 169). The purpose for using these type of elements is to display your findings in a way that others can relate to, by simply compiling all the data into a readable analysis technique through the usage of a computer. However, it takes careful planning as to what graphics to use, depending on what results you and the customers are currently searching for. That s why there are certain steps to follow when gathering the necessary information before selecting the right format to put into existence for others to view. The first step is to gather the information from the survey, then input it into the computer system; so it can be categorized by importance. I will examine the two different in groups, because one can be a Christian and not an engineer since they are two distinct groups. Then, I ll examine how being religious in the modern day workplace can cause tension with co workers. Finally, I will explore how the two overlap, looking at specifically where engineering ethics can align with the Christian life. To begin, one must ask what is an in group? Gordon Allport describes an in group as being a collection of people who use we with the same essential significance (Allport, 1994, p. 173). Allport is saying there is no hard definition of an in group, it is dependent on others to identify as part of this group. Moreover, to simply be a member of the in group, one must declare they are a member, and others will identify with such group. To better understand in groups, let s examine the Christian in group. One can characterize the Christian in group can as those who follow Christianity and live a Christian life . The Christian life is being receptive of Jesus into one s life, seeing Him as the ultimate sacrifice made for all of humanity. With such knowledge, Christians are joyful for the sacrifice made for them, and they choose to live their lives with such knowledge guiding and motivating them (Novello, 2014, p.324 326). • 47. Jane Austen s Pride And Prejudice Anjan Amarnath Mr. Holaday British Literature/Writing P6 9 May 2016 Clever Title While Jane Austen s novel Pride and Prejudice is often regarded for it s strong representations of feminism, the novel strongly portrays the Oedipus complex through the Bentley sisters unexpected and contradictory relationships. The relationship of a child with their parent is one of the strongest influences in one s later life and relations, so much so that a child is sometimes forced to repress their true desires. The novel tracks Elizabeth Bennet s relationship with Mr. Darcy, a relationship which endures a stark, unexpected change that is a result of Elizabeth s Oedipal complex. Initially, Elizabeth detests Mr. Darcy, as she views him and a narcissistic man with unreasonably high expectations; however, near the end of the novel, she becomes infatuated with him and the two end up getting married. Mr. Bennet, Elizabeth s father, is a very soft spoken man who deliberately defies his wife, his female counterpart, and doesn t seem to openly express his love for his family very often. That is, with the exception of Elizabeth who happens to be his favorite daughter, as demonstrated throughout the book through his distinct affection and care towards her and his indifference towards his other four daughters. One stereotype that was torn down was that women are not as strong as men. This is proved to be wrong when they have Morgaine fighting men and actually being victorious. This movie also breaks the stereotype that women can t be in power. Most women in this movie hold very high positions. For example, Viviane is the high goddess of Avalon. Also Morgaine is her second in command. Although this movie breaks some stereotypes it also reinforces them by putting the blame on a women for not being able to give the king an heir. Although in this case it really is her fault nobody knows this information and automatically blames her. These are just a few of the reasons that Mist of Avalon strengthens and breaks through common stereotypes. In Mist of Avalon Gwenhwyfar is a sympathetic character because she has so much going against her. Although she does have her own wrong doings they are acted on out of hurt. For example, she is cursed with not being able to give the king an heir and this causes turmoil in their marriage. Also in the end she gets even more bad things thrown her way and then repents for her sins and ends things with Lancelot. The film doesn t treat physical beauty in a positive or negative way.
