The Day You Got A s Analysis
It s good to see you got A s. It sounds kind of harsh that you got grounded for a month, you shouldn t
be back chatting other people though, but then again that is part of being young and impetuous and
could actually be a positive in terms of Christian apologetics later on. Having to do an essay on
grammar later on as well the as potentially end up with detention if you fail the essay is just mean. :(
oh I didn t get grounded for back chatting I got it for getting 61 detentions in one school year, I was
hoping the glowing comments from Miss would have detracted from that minor statistic lol, my dad
homed into it like Miss homes into my bad grammar. I try not to backchat adults, but that does not go
for the boys at school! I have completed the essay ready for the beginning of term, I will get an A for it
as I have got Lillian to check it for me, she is the one you go to if you need your grammar checking,
her dad and mum are into poetry, so I think she is encouraged to write too. Alice was the one back

The Reasons Behind Harambe The Gorilla
With major media outlets busy with many stellar stories from this year, a major topic in the spotlight
was Harambe the Gorilla. Being in the spotlight many times, Harambe was a Silverback Western
Lowland Gorilla that lived in the Gorilla World exhibit of the Cincinnati Zoo. On May 28, 2016, a 3
year old child climbed into the Gorilla World exhibit because he wanted to see the gorillas up close.
After falling into a moat, the child was picked up by the intrigued gorilla, Harambe. With fear for the
child s life, the Dangerous Animal Response Team claimed to have rational motive in order to end the
life of Harambe. Many criterion that support Harambe and the cause behind him are evident in many
people s daily lives. A couple of criterion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

justice of the famed gorilla s uncalled for death. On the petition website Change.org some petitions
have over half a million signatures! Lastly, another way that Harambe is being remembered is by

Why Is Russia The Most Powerful
Russia: Powerful but Not Complete Russia is known for its overall power, thus ranking it at the
second most powerful country in the world, next to the United States. Russia has throughout history
been a dominate figure due to its military strength. As of right now the Russian military is also ranked
as the second most powerful military, only due to defense spending. Since the collapse of the Soviet
Union in 1991, Russia s economy has fluctuated drastically. Another key aspect to Russia is its
diversity in politics. The Russian Finance Ministry recently admitted that at the Reserve Funds, would

The Day Of The Beach
The Earth man lives on is ninety seven percent ocean, but man cannot control himself when it comes
to protecting the ocean. Without the ocean the world s population would no longer have seafood to
help with nutrition, jobs as sailors and fishermen would no longer exist, beaches would not exist for
children to create memories, and the world would no longer be the same. As a young girl I use to
always go visit my aunt in Connecticut, and since I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada the closest I got to
water was the pool in my grandparents backyard, so my aunt and uncle always made sure that while I
was with them we went to the beach. Although this one particular year stands out to me when I think

In 2014, NOAA provides this report with detailed and sufficient information relating to the effects of
marine debris and the entanglement that happens to the ocean s animals. The report done by NOAA s
Marine Debris Programs gives amazing information to help argue my opinion in the future, since it is
referring to debris and animals. The information regarding the effects of marine species in marine
pollution, specifically pinnipeds is stated in the report about how many marine animals are being
entangled by the pollution humans are creating. This report provides excellent background
information with facts dating all the way back to 1983 to 2014. I believe with all these years of
research, the report helps me find other information relating to marine debris. NOAA has made is very
easy to identify who has published this report along with who was involved. NOAA being The Nation
Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration makes them quite qualified to speak on marine pollution and
they allow all contact information to be found. For the most part NOAA has done their own research
to create this report, therefore there is not any other sources. With NOAA being almost all about
marine life the administration is biased, but they provide valid information that can easily be verified.

A Study On Rust Industry
Rust oleum Professional Undercoating is a specialized grade spray on rubber coating used to prevent
corrosion caused by salt, water, and other road chemicals. It rubberizes, resists further corrosion and
deadens sound. This product is used on cars, trucks, trailers and other road vehicles. Rust damage is
irreversible and can only be prevented hence the utility for the product not that it is needed in dry
Arizona. Rust oleum has thousands of products that are all marketed for home and auto projects not
limited to fence paint, enamels, primers and rust strippers. The professional undercoating is one of the
more popular products as it is used on cars. I chose this product because I have no experience with this
item or car care. As it is, I pay mechanics and body shop owners to make sure that my car is not
falling apart. Rust oleum Professional Undercoating is a do it yourself project that I would not chose
to participate in. The product is unfamiliar to me, as a single female in my mid twenties I have never
purchased nor plan to purchase this merchandise anytime in the future. The product despite my lack of
necessity segments a market fairly specifically. Market segmentations shape the advertisement by
picking demographic, geographic, psychographic and behavioral factors of the individuals they wish
to target. Rust oleum s demographic segment makes products for middle class, American, family men
who have some education but are most likely blue collar or trade workers. The

2. Introduction
Amongst the main rivers in Yorkshire, the River Aire runs 71 miles (141km) in length where the river
is partially canalised (Aire and Calder Navigation). It rises about 300m above sea level, with a basin
area of 1004km2. The source of the River Aire is situated in North Yorkshire, rising from Malham
Cove at Malham Tarn, running beneath the ground towards Malham village. Of the towns the river
flows through include Gargrave, Skipton, Cononley, then passes through more industrial areas such as
Saltaire and Shipley, heading towards Leeds. The mouth of the river is at River Ouse at Airmyn.
Prior to the 1970 s, severe pollution from raw sewage outflows resulted in the absence of fish and
associated wildlife. There was also a lack of activities taking place that were recreational for locals
and tourists alike. Therefore, because of the poor water quality, from upstream areas in Shipley
towards the Ouse at the village of Airmyn, the River Aire gained a bad reputation as being heavily
polluted.

Introduction
As we know the world is gripped with fear in regards to the lasts terrorism acts and the terrorist group
ISIS. Within this report we will discuss how terrorism tends to take a hold on some individuals and
this learner will discuss the overall feeling of this subject that seems to be missed by the USA and
other Nations very briefly. We will try to get a better understanding by reading these three article
which are: Bloom s 2011 article, Bombshells: Women and Terror, from Gender Issues; Campbell and
Hansen 2014 article, Is Narco Violence in Mexico Terrorism ? from the Bulletin of Latin American

bombers which has occurred across a variety of nationalistic and secular groups, but it has also spread
to the conservative religious terror networks as well (Bloom, 2011). So, this learners question about
this article is how do you stop a Ghost? This learner will shed more light on this question in the
conclusion.
Is Narco Violence in Mexico Terrorism
The next article by called the Is Narco Violence in Mexico Terrorism, took a look at something like

notion that Mexico is nothing but a failed state wracked by terrorism, drug terrorism to be exact
(Campbell, Hansen, 2014, p. 159). By examining how the narco violence affect Mexico the articles
author was able to augured that there is

Ellipsis Of Subjects And Objects In Mandarin Chinese
Ellipsis of Subjects and Objects in Mandarin Chinese
Mandarin Chinese as one of the unique languages in the world has many significant features, and one
of them is ellipsis of subjects and objects. In English, a complete sentence consists of at least three
basic elements which are a subject, an object, and a verb. However, compare with English, Mandarin
Chinese does not have strict grammatical rules to form a complete sentence because people can leave
out subjects or objects when they talk to each other. Although there are many sentences in Mandarin
Chinese lack of subjects or objects, the sentences are still clear and grammatically correct. Therefore,
can we conclude that subjects and objects are not necessary for spoken Mandarin Chinese? In other
words, when can a speaker omit the subject or the object in Mandarin Chinese?
Ellipsis of subjects also occurs in spoken English, but it normally in a set phrase. For example, people
often say see you tomorrow rather than I will see you tomorrow. Moreover, due to grammatical
requirement, not every sentence in English can omit the subject. Although sometimes the sentence is
still understandable without the subject, the meaning will become ambiguous. Compare with English,
ellipsis of subjects is more common in spoken Mandarin Chinese. Unlike English, it does not have any
grammatical restriction and can be used in any sentence. Therefore, In order to have a better
understanding of ellipsis of subjects and objects in Mandarin Chinese, I use examples from video
recording that I recorded in an apartment. There are two participants in the video and both of them are
native Chinese speaker. Two participants know each other very well, and the conversation topic is
about the Animation class that female speaker takes this quarter.
In the conversation, the female speaker omits subjects constantly, and the listener can still understand
what she wants to say and respond to her. For example, the female speaker says:
(1). 在 上面 一个劲 地 讲. zai shangmian yigrjing de jiang.
At top continuously C talk
(He) talks continuously at the stage.
This sentence is a typical incomplete sentence in spoken Mandarin Chinese. The speaker wants to say
that the Animation class lacks of the

The Impact of Acronyms Use in Facebook on Language
Based on the observations and results that I gathered for 2 weeks, I found out that most of my
participant who uses Facebook daily uses acronym to update their status, provide feedback or
comment, chatting with other users, to give out information or to post personal details through
Facebook. For my research, I found out 5 most common acronyms used by my participants which are
BT, FYI, TQ, BTW, and FB. When asked about this, my sample gives out different opinion and reason
on why they tend to use this acronym when using Facebook.
In my view, they use acronym to shorten the sentence when they update their status in Facebook via
Facebook mobile as well as to reduce the time taken to type the full sentence. When asked about
whether using acronym limited the use and application of languages, they did not think about it at all.
For example, Mr. K from Evidence 4 stated that he does not care about language when he update his
status or chat with his friend in Facebook. For him, he only cares about using correct form of language
when he was in a formal environment, as an example, speaking to his English lecturer.
Moving on, from the findings or results that I have gathered, I place my focus on only 5 acronyms in
order to narrow my observation. However, I will discuss the 5 acronyms more in the view of semantic.
Semantically, all five acronyms mentioned in my research have different meaning. As I set my
observation throughout the 2 weeks period of time, I place my studies of

Improving The Manufacturing And Service Delivery Processes...
Abstract
Information technology utilized to improve the manufacturing and service delivery processes for
companies can deliver individually different products to different individual customers cost efficiently
is called mass customization. When product components are put together in a modularized way, the
mass customization can reduce the company s all in costs. The mass customizing companies are
driven by observing individual customer request and by comparing them to what other customers have
requested. As the demand for customizing products rise, companies are offering build to order services
to enable customers to configure products to their own needs.
Utilizing mass customization provides a better matching product to its customers liking as its chosen
customization level increases. However, if a company chooses not to use mass customization, they
may result in selling a standard product. Price customization can lead to a broader adoption of mass
customization, and the company can take advantage of their customized products. Cosmetic
customization presents a standard product differently to different customers. Transparent
customization provides each customer with a customized product without telling him or her about the
actual product itself.
Good services cannot come from processes alone. The important process for winning customer loyalty
is through customization. Mass customization is a process for customizing cost efficiently. Companies
can reduce its unit

Animal Vs Asian Elephants
Asian elephants are a big mammal but let me tell you more about them and what makes them different
from the other elephants. Asian elephants live in Nepal, India and Southeast Asia scrub forests and
rainforests. Asian elephants have been around for over 55 million years elephants are very successful
animals they found many different fossils and they have said over 300 species have walked the earth
over a long period. Elephants eat roots, grasses, fruit, and bark. An adult elephant can consume up to
300 pounds of food in a single day. Elephants form deep family bonds and live in tight matriarchal
family groups of related females called a herd. When a calf is born, it is raised and protected by the
whole matriarchal herd. Female elephants live in a herd. Male elephants have very different social
needs, males are driven out of the family group as they approach sexual maturity, males spend as
much as 95% of their lives alone. When it comes to babies getting attacked by predators, the whole
herd pitches in.
After five years of rearing the young elephants, the mother gives birth to a new infant weaning the
now adolescent calf at the same time. The subspecies of the elephants are African and Asian. In Africa
there is two different species the African bush elephant, and the African forest elephant. In Asia they
just have the Asian elephant. In the early times of 2000 b.c. elephants because of the size they were

Argumentative Essay On Puppy Mills
Cook county recently released a new ordinance prohibiting pet stores from selling dogs that were born
in puppy mills. Puppy mills are dog breeders that put profit over dogs, and breed dogs with inhumane
and unsanitary conditions. Usually, dogs from pet stores come from puppy mills. This regulation came
after affect from countless complaints in the Chicagoland area that pets are obtaining diseases and
dying within weeks of adoption. In a report from Mrs. Bagby s 8th graders, 89% of students know
someone who has had a dog or cat from a pet store. Lea Karpov, a student in Mrs. Bagby s class

This leaves us all in confusion: how are the other 7,000 puppy mills functioning without oversight?
Well, there are no regulations on how these puppy mills operate. Picture this: A huge dark room with
small metal cages stacked on top of each other, the air filled with the whimpering and crying of the
puppies trapped inside them. When puppies are bred in these unsanitary conditions, there is usually
just a sole survivor out of a litter of 8, similar to Hunger Games in which only the strong prevails.
According to the Puppy Mill Project, an outgoing campaign to stop for profit breeders (breeders who
put money over dog welfare), over 2 million puppies are sold from puppy mills each year, with 1.2
million slaughtered in the mills due to overpopulation. In fact, some puppies from the mills are sold on

Captive Orcas Killer Whales
Though often seen as fierce killing machines, Orca whales, more commonly known as killer whales,
are much different. In some ways, these mysterious creatures are much like humans. Many people are
fascinated by these whales when they see them perform in marine parks such as SeaWorld. What most
people don t realize is that the life of these whales is not as great as it may seem. There is much
evidence that proves captive life will never be adequate. There is no doubt that life in captivity is no
match for life in the wild. Orcas exhibit unnatural behaviors and aggressive tendencies in captivity
that do not occur in the wild. In captivity, orcas have been known to show aggressive tendencies
resulting in injury and even death. While there ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The longest a captive born Orca has very lived is twenty five years (Rose, 3). The average life
expectancy is six years in captivity. Eighty six percent of 135+ whales in captivity since 1961 are now
dead (KIWE, 3). SeaWorld, one of the most famous marine parks exhibiting Orca whales, has
experienced approximately one Orca death a year since beginning their breeding program. It is
reasonable and logical to expect at least a third of all captive whales to still be alive today considering
the number of males and females, years since the first Orca entered captivity, and life expectancies in
the wild, but only twenty percent is still living. The most parsimonious explanation for this failure to
show improved survivorship, despite the effort by Oceanaria to advance husbandry techniques in the
past forty five years, is that Orcas are inherently unsuited to confinement (Rose, 3). Not only are
Orcas far too intelligent to be held captive, but also captivity does not meet their familial and social
needs. In the wild, Orcas have complex familial and social relationships with those in their pods that
they are not able to sustain in captivity due to being placed in a pool with and artificial family. Orcas
typically spend their entire lives with their families unless taken away (Cronin, 2). In captivity, the
young are separated from their mothers. At SeaWorld, after a four and a half year old Orca was taken

The Causes of American Revolution Essay
The American Revolution was a conflict between 13 British colonies on the eastern seaboard of North
America and their parent country, Great Britain. The war resulted in the colonies becoming a separate
nation, the United Stated of America. It is also known as the American War of Independence.
The Seven Years War left Great Britain with the expensive responsibility of administering newly
acquired territory in North America. The British Parliament passed the Stamp Act in 1765 to raise
revenue to pay a share of the empire s defense costs. The Stamp Act required the colonists to use
specially stamped paper for all official documents, newspapers, and pamphlets. It provoked almost

The first armed encounter of the American Revolution

British lieutenant general Thomas Gage was aware that

On the night of April 18, 1775, Gage sent troops to

Iwo Jima was known for one of the most bloody battles in not just the Marine but American history
too. The battle began on February 19, 1945 as part of the campaign of the Pacific theatre, and lasted
for thirty six days. Around twenty six thousand Marines were wounded, which caused Union losses
during the battle at Gettysburg. Near the beginning of summer of 1944, American B 29 bombers were
ruining the islands. Iwo Jima proved itself an indispensable asset to the Pacific command. Thousands
of fighters took off from its runways, and this stepping stone served as a staging ground for countless
Allied advances. The U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army Air Forces started naval bombardments against
the island. About seventy thousand U.S. Marines and eighteen thousand Japanese soldiers were in the
battle. When the Navy opened up on Iwo Jima it caused D Day to happen on which Allied forces

The structure of economics is built on the law of demand. The law of demand simply says that when
the price of a good rises, the amount demanded falls, and when the price falls, the amount demanded
rises. An increase in demand means that the demand curve will shift to the right. A decrease in the
price of the product will not shift the demand curve, but will increase the quantity demanded
(Henderson, 2008).
The Coefficient of Determination Interpretation is the accuracy of the predictor of the independent
variable on the dependent variable value. The coefficient of determination is calculated as the square
of the correlation coefficient between the sample and predicted data. How well a regression model fits
the data is shown through the coefficient of determination. The value of the coefficient of
determination shows the percentage of variation that can be explained by the regression equation and
is used to show how accurately a regression model can predict future outcomes (Mahvish Zehra, n.d.).
The interpretation of each independent variable coefficient is as following. There is a decrease in the
demand for pizza. The coefficient of the cost of pizza is, 3,174.060 and the coefficient of the cost of

Case 2 New Land Medical Technologies
Question 1 :
In order to assess if the Newland Medical Technology s business opportunity is viable, we will check
for attractiveness, durability and timeliness. We shall additionally also perform the Venture
Opportunity Profile Screening
Newland Medical technology s idea of the SRS was definitely one that added significant value to the
customer or the end user(the patient). Before SRS patients would have to wait with pain for a couple
of days before the Kidney stones moved out of the Ureters, by themselves. Now SRS would help them
do that. It was definitely a product that if successful, would let patients relieve of their pain. This is

They still might need to work on the Management team. The Founder has not identified apt people ,
rather she has just included people on the move. Now that they ruined their present distribution
channel, they have to look afresh at marketing the product and relaunching it in the market. But the
$9.5M buy out on the table seems like a fair price to their efforts , even though some minor adjustment
in the Business plan could have brought them more.
Durability :
The demand for such a product is evergreen , until an alternative product is launched in the market
there will be a great demand and even if another product is launched we can only expect a healthy
competition. This product is not perishable and the demand looks big enough for a long term.
Timeliness :
The Window of opportunity in this market seems to be just apt. The window may well remain open,
long enough for them to enter the business, establish a competitive advantage and also build the firm.
This is only predictably possible because there are no major players out there who are working on a
similar product and Newland Medical already has a patent. The market size is roughly about $200 M ,
just right for entry and is well projected to grow.
All in all it can be concluded that the Opportunity looks

Theme Of Tintern Abbey By William Wordsworth
Upon the very first reading of William Wordsworth s Lines Composed a Few Miles Above Tintern
Abbey, on Revisiting The Banks of The Wye During a Tour, 13th July 1798 , one comes across the
theme of memory and Wordsworth s love for nature ( themes frequently explored by Wordsworth in
several of his poems). However, both these themes work in an inter connected and intertwined manner
in the said poem.
The very first line itself sets a nostalgic mood to the poem. It depicts Wordsworth s contemplation and
reflection of the past.
Five years have past; five summers, with the length of five long winters! And again I hear.... (1 2)
The poem starts with Wordsworth s recollection of the time that has elapsed since his last visit to
Tintern Abbey. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He realizes that while the nature, the landscape surrounding Tintern Abbey has remained the same and
will remain the same, he has and will change. In the last stanza, Wordsworth s tone changes to slight
anxiousness. There is a binary created of remembrance and forgetfulness. It could be because he
desires a sense of immortality just like the beauteous forms in the minds of his readers and Dorothy.
He wishes his readers and his sister to draw comfort and solace from him just as the nature gives him
comfort and solace. Thus, keeping his memory

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
The United States Army Corps of Engineers has built a number of dams within the United States. The
Bonneville Dam and other dams along the Columbia River provided local citizens with jobs during the
Great Depression and hydropower after their construction. These dams assisted in powering the
Manhattan project during World War II. The Turtle Creek Dam, as it sat in 2005, was susceptible to
failure if a substantial earthquake were to strike. The Corps of Engineers was contracted to upgrade
this dam. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers developed a reputation of excellence throughout their
existence. Improving America with Dams Since Congress established the United States Army Corps
of Engineers on March 11, 1779, they have been involved in the construction and repair of many
different structures both foreign and domestic. Often times the Corps of Engineers is called upon to
take on America s most important projects. Of the important projects that they have completed,
American dam projects have been some of the Corps of Engineers most impressive accomplishments
to date. Dam projects can serve many purposes. They compensate for varying amounts of water that
nature may send down a river at a given time, or they may serve as a resource to generate hydropower
for the local population. The construction of these complicated feats of engineering is an expensive,
time consuming task. For whatever reason a dam is built, it will almost always pay for itself in the
energy it produces or

Supertoys Last All Summer Long Analysis
In 2017 we are in a time where new technologies seem to be coming out every couple of months. The
American consumers are buying and investing in these new technologies which are used in our
everyday lives whether they be vehicles, cellphones, household appliances, tools, computers, and
artificial intelligence. Nigel Thrift points this out in his article Closer to the Machine? Intelligent
environments, new forms of possession and the rise of the supertoy he says Commodities, because of
recent developments in information technology, will increasingly be designed with powers to interact
and adapt to space, powers that will allow them to take on a much more active role in the world. (389).

He states Does technology tell us what we want to do, or desires for accomplishing things? Or does it
tell us who we are and what we wish to be? (Hefner 655). These questions are very interesting
questions considering that we might be creating A.I. to replicate what we may think is the perfect
human in a sense, someone or something who is intelligent, does not age, and does not die. By this he
means that we are essentially trying to create something that is not mortal because we ourselves are
mortal. We create technology to compensate for our finitude. (Hefner 658). He also notes that thinking
is not just the only thing that separates humans from other things but the fact that we are capable of
loving. He states But thinking is not the critical mark of being human; loving is. (Hefner 656). With
that statement he is saying that if a machine is able to think that does not make it the same as a human
being because it is not able to love something like humans do. In the middle of the story David Talks

The Importance Of Meaning In The Monkey s Paw
Have you ever wanted to have three magic wishes that could get you anything you have ever wanted
or needed in life? Well, these people did and they got it but unfortunately for some of them they got
more than they wished for. Such as in The Monkey s Paw they asked for a simple very conservative
sum yet they got anything but that in return. And in the third wish Mr. Peter was very happy then
became very distraught by his first wish. Although these stories are the same in the three wishes they
are different in the overall mood and feeling of the story. Both, Mr. Peters and Mr. White were warned
of the extreme dangers of making these wishes it could even possibly cause them death. Which in The
Monkey s paw it did for the White family unfortunately

Essay about Moral Hazard
The theme of moral hazard comes up numerous times throughout the movie, Too Big To Fail and is an
extremely important factor when considering what happened in September of 2007 and its
consequences. By definition, moral hazard is, the risk that a party to a transaction has not entered into
the contract in good faith, has provided misleading information about its assets, liabilities or credit
capacity, or has an incentive to take unusual risks in a desperate attempt to earn a profit before the
contract settles (Investopedia). Basically it s when others such as these investment banks are careless
with the money invested by the people because it isn t their money or their risk. This was the case
throughout many points in the film. First, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ultimately, U.S Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson directed CEO of Lehman Brothers, Dick Fuld to
declare bankruptcy before the market opened. They decided against bailing them out and preached to
the public about moral hazard. In this situation, if they were to bail Lehman Brothers out, it would
promote the theory that, it wouldn t matter if banks are careless with others money if they are going to
get bailed out anyway, and also what is stopping these banks from not repeating the same mistake if
the Fed bails them out in the end. This came over well initially in the public for those exact reasons
but soon turned. Because of Lehman Brothers counterparty risk, it affected the entire financial market
and another giant, AIG, began to collapse. With AIG failing it would cause the entire financial system
to fall and cause massive problems. Due to these reasons Paulson lobbied for the government to
intervene and eventually they did and passed the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008,
which allowed Paulson to spend up to 700 billion to purchase securities and inject cash directly into
banks. They ended up doing exactly what they weren t willing to with Lehman Brothers and their
preaching against moral hazard went right out the window when they decided to bail out AIG. Moral
Hazard is a double edged sword because in the end, what is to stop these banks from doing the same
thing again? Also, if

Symbolism In Stephen King s Movie It
Due to how interested I am with this captivating film, I once again decided to research a review on the
movie IT directed by Andy Muschiettie. Specifically looking for an article discussing symbolism I
stumbled upon Stephen King s It is the rare monster movie with too much monster written by Tahsa
Robinson. Collectively, the passage discusses many elements of symbols in the film, but ultimately
leads back to how the title monster makes appearance too often (Robinson). However, I disagree with
this statement because the creature is presented to remind the audience that It is always there;
terrorizing its prey before consumption as one would season a piece of meat before a meal. This
directing style of presenting the monster in the beginning and often throughout is different from that
of other movie that keep the monster hidden to build suspense and fear. Having It on screen in
multiple scenes allows terror to build for the victims or, in the case of the film, for the victims to
develop bravery in the face of fear. I do agree with the author s analysis on the aspects of the film and
the symbols presented to the audience. In particular, I whole heartedly agree with what she states
about one of the adolescent characters: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Consequences Of Blame In Romeo And Juliet
Blame is the action of placing fault on someone else s shoulders in order to take responsibility off of
ours. People resort to blame because they do not want to own up to the responsibility and the
consequences following the fault. The quote, We live in a culture of blame. People will blame anyone
or anything for their misery sooner than to take responsibility to own it and make it better, is an
excerpt of a book written by psychologists Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend. Blame comes
into play during Romeo and Juliet, because the fault of the couple s death rests on the shoulders of
King Capulet and Friar Laurence. Capulet and Friar Laurence are to blame for Romeo and Juliet s
deaths, because the Friar marries them in the first place, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Friar s decision to marry Romeo and Juliet is significant, because that is what caused Romeo to
aggravate Tybalt, eventually leading into two deaths of royalty. In Romeo and Juliet, although the
priest easily could have decided not to marry the two, whom originate from warring sides of a city,
marries them anyway. The Friar was fully aware of the inevitable consequences foreshadowed to
come. This is illustrated when Romeo pleads to the Friar to marry the pair, to which the priest fiercely
denies. Over the course of only a few minutes, the Friar sees an image of God and has the divine
inspiration to marry them. This piece of the play creates a ripple effect, in which Romeo emerges from
the church in an excited, happy manner, escalating the situation between Mercutio and Tybalt, which
then eventually fell into a downward spiral towards Romeo and Juliet s graves. Moreover, the priest s
settlement to marry Romeo and Juliet signifies importance, because his loyalty to his overall
conclusion to marry them ultimately lead to their deaths. This is expressed in the scene where he
provides a solution to Juliet to delay her marriage. As Juliet comes crying to the Friar after everyone in
her household has betrayed her, he offers her a solution in which she will sleep for 48 hours. Juliet
impulsively agrees and snatches the bottle, quickly thanking him and running home to sleep. By
handing her the potion first, the priest sets their graves in stone by not telling Romeo the plan, causing
confusion, and ultimately,

Governmental Effects On Trade Policies
As a business owner the responsibilities are enormous and there is a ton of planning. Having a
business I will be taking into consideration an extreme chance of globalization and trade in context.
Now there will be tariffs, business and government now getting involved in my company one way or
another. All of this brings to thought why the United States saves part of the economic policies and
procedures. In this assignment I will be talking about the governmental effects on trade policies and
how they are used in different businesses. Also included will be how doing business in other countries
might influence company owners. Does NAFTA have any effect on automobile industries and the
trade agreement? Some educational information I found was that the US is 238 years old and in the
past 193 or so years the United States has had a foreign trade and global economic policy in place.
Several things have been altered over and over again since the original policy had been written. The
US focused more on how the government and businesses could improve on the domestic economy no
matter what was happening in other countries. The Great Depression and World War II along with the
country s population wanted to create less trade obstacles and manage the world s financial structure.
Free trade in the US has shown that it is progressing in the monetary welfare and creating diplomatic
interactions between other states. So, now that free trade has resulted in global trade there is

John Ford s The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
John Ford s The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance black and white film tells the story of a killing of a
man that helped a town progress and become civilized. The film begins when a young quixotic man
fresh out of law school from the East, moves to a western town called Shinbone without knowing this
town is a wilderness ruled by guns and savages. The optimistic lawyer named Ransom eventually
brings law and order to the town after the local troublemaker is shot. He is then known as the man
who shot Liberty Valance and ends up becoming a senator in Washington. Time passes by and he and
his wife Hallie come back to the town of Shinbone for a local rancher s funeral named Tom Doniphon.

Johnson. There are slight differences between the two, but the main plot remains the same, that of a
town ruled by mayhem with a local ruffian loaded with guns not wanting the town to progress; a
lawyer who realizes he will have to get rid of the ruffian not through law but through a gun and the
rancher who helps him get rid of the ruffian going unrecognized. Switching now to the differences
between the short story and the film, the first difference the reader is able to spot is how the short story
begins as opposed to how the film begins. In the short story, the rancher is named Bert Barricune
while in the film he is named Tom Doniphon. The film opening scene begins with a long shot of a
train arriving to the town of Shinbone, while the Marshal, Link Appleyard, waits at the train stop for
Hallie and Senator Ransom to step out of the train. On the other hand, the short story starts right at the
funeral scene, and it describes how not more than a dozen people showed up to Bert s funeral. Both
also differ in the way the lawyer, Ransom, arrives to the western town. In the film, Tom Doniphon
brings Ransom s passed out body into town in the back of a carriage, while in the short story Ransom
limped into the Marshal s office as Bert was being let out of a one cell jail. Another difference is the
duel scene, in the short story Ransom passed out and he wakes up to see Bert s face, who

Relationship Between Femail Juniors Involved in Sports and...
Statement of Tasks: The plan is to obtain data of female juniors involved in sports and the relevance to
their grade point averages. The data will be collected through a survey. The survey will be distributed
to fifty female juniors that attend Taft High School. The survey will ask the student to state the
curriculum such as IB or other (Regular/Honors). Students will also have to state their grade point
averages. The researcher has to assure that each student is either involved or has recently been
involved in a sport. A statistical analysis will be applied to the data in order to uncover any relevance
of the data. The analysis will require a chi squared (x2) test.

I add up all the GPAs and then divide by the total number of GPAs.
5.1+ 4.6+ 4.7+ 4.7 + 4.7+ 4.8 + 4.3 + 4.2 + 4.6 + 4.3 + 4.3+ 4.6 + 4.8 + 4.5+ 3.8 + 3.6 + 3.8+ 3.5 +
3.3 + 3.3 = 85.5
85.5/20=4.28
= 4.28
This is the mean found for Others GPA.
4.1 + 3.6 + 3.4 + 3.4 + 3.65 + 3.48 + 3.2 + 3.8 + 3.7 + 3.8 + 3.1+ 3.9 + 3.2 + 3.1+ 3.2 + 3.0+ 3.0 +
2.9+ 2.9 + 2.5+ 3.0+ 2.7+ 3.0 + 2.8+ 2.7 + 2.6 + 2.0+ 2.0 + 1.7+ 2.0= 92.43
92.43/30=3.08
= 3.08
In order to find the median for IB and Others GPA, I must put the GPAs in numerical order. Since both
totals are even numerals, I have to take the mean of the two middle numbers of the set of GPA. IB
median: 4.3+4.5= 8.8 8.8/2= 4.4
Others median: 3.0+ 3.1=6.1 6.1/2 = 3.05
There several modes within each data set. I simply look for repeating digits. Since there is a handful, I
will only choose of the many modes to be the main mode for the sets.
IB mode: 4.7 and 4.3
Others mode: 3.0
This is some of the input of GPAs in a graphic display calculator (GDC). I will use the GDC to show
the central tendency. First, I input the GPA. After, the data was in I pressed on STAT.

It sounds kind of harsh that you got grounded for a month, you shouldn t be back chatting other people though, but then again that is part of being young and impetuous and could actually be a positive in terms of Christian apologetics later on. Having to do an essay on grammar later on as well the as potentially end up with detention if you fail the essay is just mean. :( oh I didn t get grounded for back chatting I got it for getting 61 detentions in one school year, I was hoping the glowing comments from Miss would have detracted from that minor statistic lol, my dad homed into it like Miss homes into my bad grammar. Introduction Amongst the main rivers in Yorkshire, the River Aire runs 71 miles (141km) in length where the river is partially canalised (Aire and Calder Navigation). It rises about 300m above sea level, with a basin area of 1004km2. The source of the River Aire is situated in North Yorkshire, rising from Malham Cove at Malham Tarn, running beneath the ground towards Malham village. Of the towns the river flows through include Gargrave, Skipton, Cononley, then passes through more industrial areas such as Saltaire and Shipley, heading towards Leeds. The mouth of the river is at River Ouse at Airmyn. Prior to the 1970 s, severe pollution from raw sewage outflows resulted in the absence of fish and associated wildlife. There was also a lack of activities taking place that were recreational for locals and tourists alike. Therefore, because of the poor water quality, from upstream areas in Shipley towards the Ouse at the village of Airmyn, the River Aire gained a bad reputation as being heavily polluted.

  • 11. Ellipsis Of Subjects And Objects In Mandarin Chinese Ellipsis of Subjects and Objects in Mandarin Chinese Mandarin Chinese as one of the unique languages in the world has many significant features, and one of them is ellipsis of subjects and objects. In English, a complete sentence consists of at least three basic elements which are a subject, an object, and a verb. However, compare with English, Mandarin Chinese does not have strict grammatical rules to form a complete sentence because people can leave out subjects or objects when they talk to each other. Although there are many sentences in Mandarin Chinese lack of subjects or objects, the sentences are still clear and grammatically correct. Therefore, can we conclude that subjects and objects are not necessary for spoken Mandarin Chinese? In other words, when can a speaker omit the subject or the object in Mandarin Chinese? Ellipsis of subjects also occurs in spoken English, but it normally in a set phrase. For example, people often say see you tomorrow rather than I will see you tomorrow. Moreover, due to grammatical requirement, not every sentence in English can omit the subject. Although sometimes the sentence is still understandable without the subject, the meaning will become ambiguous. Compare with English, ellipsis of subjects is more common in spoken Mandarin Chinese. Unlike English, it does not have any grammatical restriction and can be used in any sentence. Therefore, In order to have a better understanding of ellipsis of subjects and objects in Mandarin Chinese, I use examples from video recording that I recorded in an apartment. There are two participants in the video and both of them are native Chinese speaker. Two participants know each other very well, and the conversation topic is about the Animation class that female speaker takes this quarter. In the conversation, the female speaker omits subjects constantly, and the listener can still understand what she wants to say and respond to her. For example, the female speaker says: (1). 在 上面 一个劲 地 讲. zai shangmian yigrjing de jiang. At top continuously C talk (He) talks continuously at the stage. This sentence is a typical incomplete sentence in spoken Mandarin Chinese. The speaker wants to say that the Animation class lacks of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For my research, I found out 5 most common acronyms used by my participants which are BT, FYI, TQ, BTW, and FB. When asked about this, my sample gives out different opinion and reason on why they tend to use this acronym when using Facebook. In my view, they use acronym to shorten the sentence when they update their status in Facebook via Facebook mobile as well as to reduce the time taken to type the full sentence. When asked about whether using acronym limited the use and application of languages, they did not think about it at all. For example, Mr. K from Evidence 4 stated that he does not care about language when he update his status or chat with his friend in Facebook. For him, he only cares about using correct form of language when he was in a formal environment, as an example, speaking to his English lecturer. Moving on, from the findings or results that I have gathered, I place my focus on only 5 acronyms in order to narrow my observation. Asian elephants live in Nepal, India and Southeast Asia scrub forests and rainforests. Asian elephants have been around for over 55 million years elephants are very successful animals they found many different fossils and they have said over 300 species have walked the earth over a long period. Elephants eat roots, grasses, fruit, and bark. An adult elephant can consume up to 300 pounds of food in a single day. Elephants form deep family bonds and live in tight matriarchal family groups of related females called a herd. When a calf is born, it is raised and protected by the whole matriarchal herd. Female elephants live in a herd. Male elephants have very different social needs, males are driven out of the family group as they approach sexual maturity, males spend as much as 95% of their lives alone. When it comes to babies getting attacked by predators, the whole herd pitches in. After five years of rearing the young elephants, the mother gives birth to a new infant weaning the now adolescent calf at the same time. The subspecies of the elephants are African and Asian. The longest a captive born Orca has very lived is twenty five years (Rose, 3). The average life expectancy is six years in captivity. Eighty six percent of 135+ whales in captivity since 1961 are now dead (KIWE, 3). SeaWorld, one of the most famous marine parks exhibiting Orca whales, has experienced approximately one Orca death a year since beginning their breeding program. It is reasonable and logical to expect at least a third of all captive whales to still be alive today considering the number of males and females, years since the first Orca entered captivity, and life expectancies in the wild, but only twenty percent is still living. The most parsimonious explanation for this failure to show improved survivorship, despite the effort by Oceanaria to advance husbandry techniques in the past forty five years, is that Orcas are inherently unsuited to confinement (Rose, 3). Not only are Orcas far too intelligent to be held captive, but also captivity does not meet their familial and social needs. In the wild, Orcas have complex familial and social relationships with those in their pods that they are not able to sustain in captivity due to being placed in a pool with and artificial family. The law of demand simply says that when the price of a good rises, the amount demanded falls, and when the price falls, the amount demanded rises. An increase in demand means that the demand curve will shift to the right. A decrease in the price of the product will not shift the demand curve, but will increase the quantity demanded (Henderson, 2008). The Coefficient of Determination Interpretation is the accuracy of the predictor of the independent variable on the dependent variable value. The coefficient of determination is calculated as the square of the correlation coefficient between the sample and predicted data. How well a regression model fits the data is shown through the coefficient of determination. The value of the coefficient of determination shows the percentage of variation that can be explained by the regression equation and is used to show how accurately a regression model can predict future outcomes (Mahvish Zehra, n.d.). The interpretation of each independent variable coefficient is as following. There is a decrease in the demand for pizza. The coefficient of the cost of pizza is, 3,174.060 and the coefficient of the cost of soda is, 2,266.736 this shows a negative impact on demand. Although small, the coefficient of total population .579, and the average income per house ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Durability : The demand for such a product is evergreen , until an alternative product is launched in the market there will be a great demand and even if another product is launched we can only expect a healthy competition. This product is not perishable and the demand looks big enough for a long term. Timeliness : The Window of opportunity in this market seems to be just apt. The window may well remain open, long enough for them to enter the business, establish a competitive advantage and also build the firm. This is only predictably possible because there are no major players out there who are working on a similar product and Newland Medical already has a patent. Theme Of Tintern Abbey By William Wordsworth Upon the very first reading of William Wordsworth s Lines Composed a Few Miles Above Tintern Abbey, on Revisiting The Banks of The Wye During a Tour, 13th July 1798 , one comes across the theme of memory and Wordsworth s love for nature ( themes frequently explored by Wordsworth in several of his poems). However, both these themes work in an inter connected and intertwined manner in the said poem. The very first line itself sets a nostalgic mood to the poem. • 25. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers The United States Army Corps of Engineers has built a number of dams within the United States. The Bonneville Dam and other dams along the Columbia River provided local citizens with jobs during the Great Depression and hydropower after their construction. These dams assisted in powering the Manhattan project during World War II. The Turtle Creek Dam, as it sat in 2005, was susceptible to failure if a substantial earthquake were to strike. The Corps of Engineers was contracted to upgrade this dam. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers developed a reputation of excellence throughout their existence. Improving America with Dams Since Congress established the United States Army Corps of Engineers on March 11, 1779, they have been involved in the construction and repair of many different structures both foreign and domestic. Often times the Corps of Engineers is called upon to take on America s most important projects. Of the important projects that they have completed, American dam projects have been some of the Corps of Engineers most impressive accomplishments to date. Dam projects can serve many purposes. They compensate for varying amounts of water that nature may send down a river at a given time, or they may serve as a resource to generate hydropower for the local population. By this he means that we are essentially trying to create something that is not mortal because we ourselves are mortal. We create technology to compensate for our finitude. (Hefner 658). • 28. Essay about Moral Hazard The theme of moral hazard comes up numerous times throughout the movie, Too Big To Fail and is an extremely important factor when considering what happened in September of 2007 and its consequences. By definition, moral hazard is, the risk that a party to a transaction has not entered into the contract in good faith, has provided misleading information about its assets, liabilities or credit capacity, or has an incentive to take unusual risks in a desperate attempt to earn a profit before the contract settles (Investopedia). Ultimately, U.S Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson directed CEO of Lehman Brothers, Dick Fuld to declare bankruptcy before the market opened. They decided against bailing them out and preached to the public about moral hazard. In this situation, if they were to bail Lehman Brothers out, it would promote the theory that, it wouldn t matter if banks are careless with others money if they are going to get bailed out anyway, and also what is stopping these banks from not repeating the same mistake if the Fed bails them out in the end. This came over well initially in the public for those exact reasons but soon turned. Because of Lehman Brothers counterparty risk, it affected the entire financial market and another giant, AIG, began to collapse. With AIG failing it would cause the entire financial system to fall and cause massive problems. Due to these reasons Paulson lobbied for the government to intervene and eventually they did and passed the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, which allowed Paulson to spend up to 700 billion to purchase securities and inject cash directly into banks. They ended up doing exactly what they weren t willing to with Lehman Brothers and their preaching against moral hazard went right out the window when they decided to bail out AIG. • 29. Symbolism In Stephen King s Movie It Due to how interested I am with this captivating film, I once again decided to research a review on the movie IT directed by Andy Muschiettie. Specifically looking for an article discussing symbolism I stumbled upon Stephen King s It is the rare monster movie with too much monster written by Tahsa Robinson. Collectively, the passage discusses many elements of symbols in the film, but ultimately leads back to how the title monster makes appearance too often (Robinson). However, I disagree with this statement because the creature is presented to remind the audience that It is always there; terrorizing its prey before consumption as one would season a piece of meat before a meal. This directing style of presenting the monster in the beginning and often throughout is different from that of other movie that keep the monster hidden to build suspense and fear. Having It on screen in multiple scenes allows terror to build for the victims or, in the case of the film, for the victims to develop bravery in the face of fear. I do agree with the author s analysis on the aspects of the film and the symbols presented to the audience. • 30. The Consequences Of Blame In Romeo And Juliet Blame is the action of placing fault on someone else s shoulders in order to take responsibility off of ours. People resort to blame because they do not want to own up to the responsibility and the consequences following the fault. The quote, We live in a culture of blame. People will blame anyone or anything for their misery sooner than to take responsibility to own it and make it better, is an excerpt of a book written by psychologists Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend. The Friar s decision to marry Romeo and Juliet is significant, because that is what caused Romeo to aggravate Tybalt, eventually leading into two deaths of royalty. In Romeo and Juliet, although the priest easily could have decided not to marry the two, whom originate from warring sides of a city, marries them anyway. The Friar was fully aware of the inevitable consequences foreshadowed to come. This is illustrated when Romeo pleads to the Friar to marry the pair, to which the priest fiercely denies. Over the course of only a few minutes, the Friar sees an image of God and has the divine inspiration to marry them. This piece of the play creates a ripple effect, in which Romeo emerges from the church in an excited, happy manner, escalating the situation between Mercutio and Tybalt, which then eventually fell into a downward spiral towards Romeo and Juliet s graves. Moreover, the priest s settlement to marry Romeo and Juliet signifies importance, because his loyalty to his overall conclusion to marry them ultimately lead to their deaths. This is expressed in the scene where he provides a solution to Juliet to delay her marriage. As Juliet comes crying to the Friar after everyone in her household has betrayed her, he offers her a solution in which she will sleep for 48 hours. Juliet impulsively agrees and snatches the bottle, quickly thanking him and running home to sleep. Having a business I will be taking into consideration an extreme chance of globalization and trade in context. Some educational information I found was that the US is 238 years old and in the past 193 or so years the United States has had a foreign trade and global economic policy in place. Several things have been altered over and over again since the original policy had been written. The US focused more on how the government and businesses could improve on the domestic economy no matter what was happening in other countries. The Great Depression and World War II along with the country s population wanted to create less trade obstacles and manage the world s financial structure. Switching now to the differences between the short story and the film, the first difference the reader is able to spot is how the short story begins as opposed to how the film begins. In the short story, the rancher is named Bert Barricune while in the film he is named Tom Doniphon. The film opening scene begins with a long shot of a train arriving to the town of Shinbone, while the Marshal, Link Appleyard, waits at the train stop for Hallie and Senator Ransom to step out of the train. On the other hand, the short story starts right at the funeral scene, and it describes how not more than a dozen people showed up to Bert s funeral. Both also differ in the way the lawyer, Ransom, arrives to the western town. In the film, Tom Doniphon brings Ransom s passed out body into town in the back of a carriage, while in the short story Ransom limped into the Marshal s office as Bert was being let out of a one cell jail.
