How To Write An Informative Essay
Writing an essay on the topic "How To Write An Informative Essay" can be both challenging and
rewarding. The difficulty lies in the intricate balance one must strike between providing valuable
information and maintaining an engaging writing style. Crafting an informative essay requires a
thorough understanding of the chosen subject matter, meticulous research, and the ability to
present the information in a clear and organized manner.
One of the challenges is to avoid overwhelming the reader with excessive details while ensuring
that the essential points are adequately covered. It demands careful planning to structure the
essay logically, beginning with a compelling introduction, followed by a well-organized body that
presents information in a coherent sequence, and concluding with a concise summary of key
takeaways.
Moreover, the writer must navigate the fine line between objectivity and engagement. While the
essay aims to inform, it should also captivate the reader's interest to ensure effective
communication of the intended message. Achieving this balance requires a skillful use of
language, incorporating anecdotes, examples, or relevant statistics to make the information more
relatable and memorable.
Additionally, the process involves rigorous fact-checking and source verification to maintain the
essay's credibility. The writer must sift through a multitude of information, discerning between
reliable and questionable sources to provide accurate and trustworthy content.
Despite the challenges, successfully composing an informative essay on this topic can be
immensely rewarding. It not only enhances the writer's research and analytical skills but also
contributes to the broader goal of disseminating knowledge in a comprehensible and engaging
manner.

The Shortage Of Water Shortage
Kuwait offers its citizens free education, including free food, clothing, books,
stationery, and transportation, from kindergarten through the fourth year of college,
so it is reasonable that literacy rate of total population is 96.3% (Central Intelligence
Agency.) This phenomenon helps Kuwait save water, since people in the country
having high education have the idea that water is precious for them and save water
as possible as they can avoiding to waste. Furthermore, this policy enhances the
chance of cultivating high tech talents who can research and develop new techniques
to relieve or solve water shortage. The Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research,
founded in 1967 at Safat, promotes and conducts scientific research in the fields of
food resources, water resources, oil sector support, and environmental studies
(Kuwait Science and technology).
To some extent, building public infrastructures can relive the pressure of water
shortage. For instance, Kuwait has approved the construction of a series of
desalination facilities and other infrastructure projects worth a total of around 3
billion Kuwaiti dinars ($9.9 billion), the finance ministry said on Saturday (Reuters,
2015). If these infrastructure projects are finished, it will benefit to both Kuwaiti and
Kuwait. Another example is that Kuwait upgrade transforms Kuwait WWTP which
will improve the plant s production capacity from 375,000 to 600,000 cubic meters
per day, making it the largest facility of its kind in
Themes In For Whom The Bells Tolls
We all are put to the test by having to make sacrifices like a life or death situation.
Although the majority of those choices may be for the greater good, some can hurt
others. We are put to the task, and we have several obstacles in our way, and it is
our duty to accomplish that task. In Ernest Hemingway s For Whom the Bells
Tolls, the character of Robert Jordan risks his life to fight fascism to do his duty, take
care of Maria and to wash away his father suicide.
To begin with, Robert Jordan takes care of the woman he loves, Maria. Ever since
Robert Jordan went with the reclusive group in the mountain, the two of them had
empathy of love towards each other. Robert Jordan tries to reject the adulation they
have for each other because he thinks that after the bridge is blown, they will not
see each other anymore. Maria refuses to think that and shows all her love towards
him. Soon Robert Jordan seems to care more about Maria and uses their passion for
each other as a distraction from the war. Hewson states that Jordan comes to realize
that he and Maria are making an alliance against death through their love for each
other (6). Their love for each other designates them forget about everything, and all
they want to do is be together. The alliance against death that they have is significant
in the story. Being together assembles them to feel powerful and gives them both
hope and strength during their hard times there. This helps out both of these
characters in their own
Stereotypes Of Today s Meeting
Hello, everyone,
I am emailing you because I am disappointed with the turnout of today s meeting. As
president of the club, it is my job to make sure all board members are pushing their
own weight.
I understand you may not able to attend all the meetings, but you need to get into the
habit of informing another board member of your absence. It makes it difficult on
myself as well as the other board members when several of you do not show. Also,
please only miss meetings if you absolutely have to. I understand having to attend
class or work but deciding you do not want to show up because you just do not feel
like it is disrespectful and inappropriate in your position.
I also understand that we are coming up on Thanksgiving. I asked if we
Amazon Mechanical Turk And Idea Storm
Introduction
Crowdsourcing is a new tool that has gradually modified and replaced some
ineffective original ways. Based on the research and development on crowdsourcing,
more and more new applications appear. This paper singled out two distinctive
crowdsourcing applications from numbers of emerging applications, idea generation
and Microtasking. Two examples, Amazon Mechanical Turkand Idea Storm are
selected in order to understand the role of these two applications in real life.
Moreover, comparison of these two cases are conducted, this allows readers have
more comprehensive understanding of crowdsourcing and different roles in different
applications.

As mentioned in many literature, crowdsourcing can be used in many approaches,
such as idea generation. Creation, development and idea exchanges are very
abstracted; idea generation includes the construction of ideas, innovative ideas,
development process and implementation the idea into reality. There are two ways of
Idea generation through crowdsourcing, idea competition and ideation with collective
intelligence (Moketer Hossain). Idea competition is company asks many people to
contribute new ideas for the company through crowdsourcing, company will choose
the best one and reward to the person. Ideation with collective intelligence refers to
ideation with continuous interactions between firms and crowds. Like Poetz and
Schreier (2012) said, idea come from crowds sometimes far beyond the company can
think. Also as Surowiecki (2005) mentioned, the collective efforts from a number of
innovative individuals often better than rely on some experts.
Microtasking is a process that split a large task into many small tasks and publishes
on the Internet. Microtasking is defined as the system that users can choose and
complete small tasks with or without monetary rewards (Kittur, 2008). The birth of
microtasking allows any person make

Why I want to teach:
Children are far more likely to smile and laugh than grown ups. Their giggles and

However, to strictly employ only one philosophy is limiting and hampers all

In addition, a respect for authority may hamper a students ability to freely express
opinions or pursue change in their educational institution.
Progressivism, like essentialism, reveals merit in its name. Progressivism holds that
education should be an enriching process of ongoing growth . Teachers should
demonstrate that learning is an ongoing process of enrichment and enlightenment.
The idea of interdisciplinary study contributes to this. For example, a student who
excels at math may grow to appreciate chemistry for its mathematical component.
Or, a cooperative learning approach to a real world problem can allow students with
various intelligences to experience success while contributing their respective talents
to a group. Progressivism also seeks to teach different points of view, and this is
essential for students to appreciate other cultures. Furthermore, catering to the
different interests and experiences of students provides a broader, more enlightening
learning experience for all. Finally, the emphasis placed on problem solving and
using previous experience and knowledge can benefit all students and may be applied
to any subject.
Perennialism emphasizes a study of philosophy and a pursuit of knowledge simply
for the sake of learning. I agree with the perennialist ideal that students should be
taught to think critically, analytically, and

The Perceptible Propaganda in the film Triumph of the Will (Triumph des Willens)
JS 233: The Holocaust and Film
Prof. James Diamond
Monday, February 2nd, 2015
The film Triumph of the Will was created in 1934 after Hitler was named Fuhrer of
Germany. At the time, Hitler was eager to improve the public image of the NSDP
(National Socialist German Workers Party). After his election as chancellor in Early
January 1933, Hitler gave Leni Riefenstahl the job of filming the annual NSDAP
conference in Nuremberg, Germany . Riefenstahl accepted the offer and agreed
document, direct and edit the Conference. As years pasted, the infamous
documentary began to be speculated as possible Nazi Propaganda.
Although presumptions began to arise, Riefenstahl stated that Triumph of the Will
was clearly a factual documentary and stated: Not a single scene is staged...It is
history, pure history and that she simply filmed what she saw. Susan Sontag s
response in her dissertation Fascinating Fascism concluded that the film is fascist
propaganda promoting Nazi ideology but itself is not a about fascism . Sontag was
right to the title the film was fascist due to Riefenstahl s extreme forthright about her
infatuation with Hitler. In an interview with Detroit news Riefenstahl stated: To me
Hitler is the greatest man who ever lived. He is really faultless, so simple yet so
filled with ,manly power... He is really beautiful,

In the poem Holy Thursday songs of experience and in the poem The Chimney
Sweeper , William Blake makes use of various literary techniques to portray the
theme of cruelty towards children. The poem Holy Thursday refers to the wretched
condition of children in charity schools. The poem The Chimney Sweeper refers to
the poor children who were used as slaves in England. My aim for this essay is to
explore how William Blakemade use of various literary techniques to portray the
theme of cruelty towards children in the two poems.
The title Holy Thursday alludes to joy and purity. Yet this poem highlights the cruelty
towards children in charity schools. Blake makes use of this contrast to emphasize on
the subject of the poem. Moreover ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Indeed the parents leave their child alone in poor and wrenched conditions to
furthermore pray for the well being of their family. This irony portrays the cruelty
towards children in the poem.
The poet effectively makes use of different metaphors to portray cruelty towards
children in the poem. Clothes of death is a metaphor for the chimney sweepers
uniform. The boy feels the injustice that he has to sweep chimneys as a child. The
noun death might allude to the harsh working conditions that the child has to face.
The latter hence might describe his work as a deadly task. This metaphor hence,
greatly contribute to the portrayal of children ill treatment in this poem.
The metaphor sing the notes of woe describe the child s despair as he begs
lamentably the people passing by to offer him a job that he hates. The noun woe
moreover highlights the desperate state of mind of the child and furthermore portray
the frustration of the child as he is cruelly dominated by his parents. Finally the
metaphor make up a heaven of our misery might be a mouthpiece of Blake as he
accuses the Charity schools, the other social institutions and the society to treat
children as
How Grandparents Are Assuming the Role as Caregivers
In the absence of biological parents, grandparents may assume the role as the
caregivers of their grandchildren. The absence of a biological parent may be due to
incarceration, drug abuse, mental illness or military deployment (Yancura, 2013).
Each of which disallow acceptable care from the biological parent which sometimes
places the burden to care for the child on the grandparent. This absence is commonly
known as custodial grand parenting (Population Reference Bureau, 2011). In these
circumstances the grandparent often takes the grandchild into care to avoid them
going into foster care. While this may be necessary for the children s safety,
permanency, and well being, this may also contribute to serious problems affecting
the grandparent s own well being. According to Yancura, the risk of physical,
intellectual, or emotional stress becomes greater the longer a grandparent cares for
their grandchild. It may be severely overwhelming for grandparents to meet the
essential needs for a child s well being when already at a point in life when their
own health problems are at a rise (Barusch, 2013). Balancing care for oneself and for
the grandchild becomes stressful. Barusch (2013) explains, often grandparents must
sacrifice their own well being and instead nurture the grandchild. However, among the
difficulties, grandparents still may feel an obligation to care for their grandchildren.
Census (2010) reports a growing number of grandchildren in the United States are

The Heart Of Darkness By Joseph Conrad
When you hear of the word darkness , what do you think of? The simple definition
of darkness is the lack of presence of light. In The Heart of Darkness by Joseph
Conrad, darkness is relevant throughout the text. Darkness is evident in many of the
themes and even the setting of the text. The biggest theme of the text is imperialism.
If we were to rewind many years back, imperialism was one of the darkest times.
During imperialism, the civilized countries have invaded the uncivilized countries to
exploit the indigenous people of the uncivilized country. Along with the exploitation
of the indigenous people many of them were killed. Just learning about the age of
imperialism filled the classroom with clouds of darkness. How can someone be so
dark? In the text Joseph Conradtries to contrast light from dark and white from black.
Conrad makes it clear that he does not support the darkness imperialism brought to
the world. Conrad uses darkness throughout the text in many different situations, this
paper will analyze the different purposes and different styles used when Conrad
introduces darkness in the text. One key use of the term darkness is to symbolize the
unknown. Conrad employs the style of keeping the names of characters secretive.
Conrad begins and ends the text with an unnamed narrator. He continues this style by
leaving many other characters unnamed and calling them by the job they do. For
example, he uses helmsman, accountant, lawyer, doctor and
The Allegory of the Cave by Plato
The Allegory of the Cave by Plato represents the differences in the way we
perceive reality and what we believe is real. In his story, Plato starts by saying that
in a cave, there are prisoners chained down and are forced to look at a wall. The
prisoners are unable to turn their heads to see what is going on behind them and are
completely bound to the floor. Behind the prisoners, puppeteers hide and cast
shadows on the wall in line with the prisoners sight, thus giving the prisoners their
only sense of reality. What happens in the passage is not told from the prisoners
point of view but is actually a conversation held between Socrates and Glaucon (Plato
s brother). As Socrates is describing the cave and the situation, he stresses the point
that the prisoners are completely oblivious as to what is reality as they would
know nothing but the shadows casted by items held by the puppeteers, and believe
this to be their own reality. This is important to the story as it shows that what we
believe is real from the moment we are born is completely wrong based on our
own flawed interpretations of reality. The point so far is that it is not what we can
see but what we can t see is what grasps our minds and Plato describes this thinking
as imagination. Once one of the prisoners is released, he is forced to look at the fire
and the objects that once made up his perceived reality, and realizes that the new
images he is made to acknowledge are now the accepted forms of reality.
The Effect of Global Warming on Thermohaline Circulation
The Effect of Global Warming on Thermohaline Circulation

[1] Industrial activities, such as fossil fuel burning and other human activities such as
tropical deforestation have increased greenhouse gas concentrations in the
atmosphere. Increasing global temperatures are likely to have extreme effects on
global climate and may result in species extinction, changes in agricultural production
and deleterious effects on health. Studies have been conducted in recent years on the
effects of increase of greenhouse gases on the thermohaline circulation. There are
several hypotheses that state that the prolonged effect of global warming could
eventually shut down the thermohaline circulation and lead to cooling in certain

3. Global Warming
[5] The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), in February 2007,
submitted a 21 page report assessing the effect of global warming on global climate.
The report stated that: most of the observed increase in globally averaged
temperatures since the mid 20th century is very likely due to the observed increase in
anthropogenic greenhouse gas concentrations . Emission of infrared radiation warms
the Earth surface; the phenomenon is known as the Greenhouse Effect. The dominant
infrared absorbing gases in the Earth s atmosphere are water vapor, carbon dioxide
(CO2) and ozone (O3). The interactions between greenhouse gas molecules and
radiation can be explained by quantum mechanics. CO2 and O3 molecules have
vibration motions whose quantum states can be excited by collisions at energies
encountered in the atmosphere. Industrial activities, such as fossil fuel burning and
other human activities such as cement production and tropical deforestation has
increased the carbon dioxide concentrations in the atmosphere. CO2 is also a
byproduct from automobiles,

As of the past decade, Comet Wild 2 has been of particular interests to scientists. In
February of 1999, a robotic probe was launched to investigate this comet under the
Stardust discovery mission. The primary goal of the Stardust mission was to was to
collect dust samples from the coma of comet wild 2 and cosmic dust for analysis in
Earth labs and to return as many high resolution images of the cometcoma and
nucleus as possible. When the probe returned in January 15, 2006 after its actual
encounter with the comet in January 2, 2004 what scientists found is something that
is still being researched to this very day. The discovery Stardust mission returned

Investigating how the comet was formed, when it formed, and where the comet
was formed will build upon the previous knowledge already gathered from the
Stardust mission. Knowing where the comet will build upon the fact that some of
the materials found within the comet are theorized to be formed in the inner
regions of the solar system. It will also further research on whether glycine is a
material that was formed in the solar system itself or was brought into the solar
system by being carried on meteorites and comets. We should fund the extension of
the Stardust mission as discovering the origins of the solar system is one step closer
to figuring out how the solar system and Earth became the perfect place for the
creation of life as we know it. It will also lead to more knowledge about how other
planetary systems are formed and galaxies are formed. In order to achieve further
research on the comet Wild 2 to discover more about it origins, an unmanned mission
must be conducted to help get the answers to the questions that scientists are posing.
As with most missions, whether they are manned or unmanned, they require a
massive amount of planning and consequently funding. Because of this, it is critical
when deciding what instruments can be implemented on the probe that will be the
most efficient not only for the mission, but also cost efficient. The Rosetta Orbiter

Analysis Of Traveling Through The Dark By William
Stafford
In the poem Traveling through the dark by William Stafford, he describes how he
came across a dead pregnant doe as he was driving his car along a mountain road. It
was a wined and narrow road so he decided it would be best if the deer was moved
into the canyon by the road to avoid more casualties. He conveyed the theme of
having to make a tough decision and that life goes on. When he noticed the deerwas
pregnant in stanzathree, he felt pity but knew he could not do anything to help the
doe or the fawn. His hesitation in the last sentence of stanza three was him thinking to
maybe save the fawn, but then to come to realization of there not being much he
could do but let nature take its course. Throughout the poem we see the narrator has

Machine guns
Hiram Maxim created Machine Gun and in 1883, he created the first multi bullet
firing weapon. This lead to wider development of automatic weapons which were
later used in war. (Note: the 1862 Gatling gun which was ran by hand cranking.)
The machinegun was first used at the very start of WWI, The Germans having a
design already in mass production by 1914. Seeing as there were already machine
guns made the first battle would likely be the battle of Marne. The machine gun
changed the face of war, as it was known, adding in the ability to cover areas in
blankets of bullets in both defense and offensive stances. There are many types of
modern machine guns. These guns are used in mostly every military operation in
modern time. Tanks
The British adopted the first tank prototype as a design in 1916. The tank was first
used in the battle of Flers Courcelette. The tank changed war wildly just as the
machine gun did, the introduction of the tank meant that war had to adapt to the
rolling bunkers. This adaption caused warfare to take new face in ways to counter
the invention. Tanks are a major part of warfare today, with huge advances being
made constantly to the vehicle platform and more and more warfare being seen by
the vehicles as time goes on. Airplanes

Abstract
The aim of this study is to find out: who, what and where is the chorographer within
the contemporary dance sector. Who is a choreographer in the eyes of the dance
industry and the public? What is their purpose? What creative process is taken?
Where do they create the content, or installation? This study will look at the changing
practice and role of a choreographer in contemporary work versus the public
perception. It will focus on answering these questions, alongside other key themes,
such as: Contemporary dance and its place within the world, to both the artistic and

How are women portrayed in these texts? Ain t I a Woman and Phenomenal Woman
are both portrayed with strong, confident, and brave female speakers. Despite this,
both Sojourner Truth and Maya Angelou have their differences for being viewed as

alone, these women together ought to be able to turn it back and get it right side up

then together women could do incredible things. In contrast, Angelou uses her
demeanor to show off her strength. She states, I walk into a room just as cool as

Computer Science, Engineering, and Psychology) that deals with the theory, design,
implementation, and evaluation of how humans interact with computer devices and
software. While HCI is more user focused , Activity theory addresses the joining of
consciousness and activity. Activity theory is a theory of human consciousness,
construing consciousness as the outcome of a person s interactions with people and
artifacts in the context of everyday activity (Kaptelininand Nardi, 2006).
2.0 Basic Concepts of Activity theory
Activity theory has three concepts or principles. The first principle of Activity theory
relates to all humans directed toward their objects, called objectiveness . A task
performed because of an object. Objects focus on the outcome and the primary
motivation. The second principle of Activity theory is the hierarchical structure
consisting of our actions. Different, decisive actions are performed to obtain distinct
goals. A hierarchy of actions are determined by our subconscious and automatic
processes. They are not permanent actions, but constantly changing as reality
changes. Additionally, development is the third concept of Activity theory. Activity
theory requires the context of development and human interaction be analyzed. This
human interaction development constantly reforms practice. When Activity theory is
applied, it is usually in groups of active participants to
The Battle Of Chancellorsville, Virginia
The battle of Chancellorsville, Virginia was fought from April 30 through May 6,
1863. It was fought between the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia
commanded by General Robert E. Lee, and the Federal Army of the Potomac
commanded by Major General Joseph Hooker. The intent of this battle was for
Major General Hooker s Union force to cross the Rappahannock River west of
Chancellorsville in order to gain control of the VirginiaCentral and Fredericksburg
rail lines; these rail lines were essential to the Army of Northern Virginia because
they were the main supply lines to Richmond, the capitol of the Confederate states.
The Union knew that by gaining the supply line to Richmond and defeating
General Lee, was crucial because this would cause the Confederate strategic center
of gravity to fall, essentially leading to an end of the Civil War. However, the
Army of the Potomac lost the battle of Chancellorsville against General Lee s Army
of Northern Virginia, and the Civil War raged on. The battle of Chancellorsville is
generally viewed as General Robert E. Lees greatest victory of the Civil War.
General Lee expertly demonstrated mission command by leading his troops into an
unlikely battle, understanding the battle, visualizing, and directing his troops in a
victory for the Confederacy. General Robert E. Lee is considered by many to be an
iconic American figure, a symbol of the South, and one of the greatest Generals in
American history. Lee was a highly regarded Colonel

Abstract
Everyone has a role in accomplishing the mission and everyone directly impacts the
effectiveness of his or her organization (Horton, p 247). According to Conger and
Benjamin (1999), creditability and authenticity lie at the heart of leadership, therefore,
determining and defining one s own guiding beliefs and assumptions lie at the heart
of becoming a great leader. Providing direction and exercising influence are the two
functions at the core of most definitions of leadership. Leaders work with others to
create a shared sense of purpose and direction and to achieve shared goals. They help
to establish the conditions that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Encourage the Heart is the fifth practice and consists of genuine acts of caring to
uplift the spirits of the people on the team. Effective leaders recognize contributions
of others and celebrate values and victories by creating a spirit of community.
These practices make up the leadership model developed by Kouzes and Posner;

Ethical Problems Of Autonomous Cars
Self driving cars are almost there. Various prototypes are allowed on the roads in
Europe, the U.S. and Japan. In the near future the driver will receive more automated
assistance in his driving task. The role of the driver will slowly change into that of a
supervisor for the ongoing automated systems in a car. Eventually, this will lead to a
situation in which the human driver does not have to do anything. By then,
automated drivingwill have become autonomous driving. One of the main benefits
of automated cars is a reduction of car accidents, although autonomous driving will
introduce new errors because they are designed by humans. It is important to
overcome these risks and make autonomous cars more safe than cars driven by
humans. By the time this is a fact, even people that are not able to drive by car, like

An autonomous car has to deal with a lot of ethical issues, such as the trolley
paradox . This famous argument, first introduced by British philosopher Philippa
Foot in 1967, describes the situation where a train conductor has to choose decide
whether to deviate the train and kill one person or maintain the direction and kill
five persons on the track. In later years, philosophers have thought of several
variations of this dilemma. One such variation is that the one person to kill is the
president of the U.S. or your grandmother. These variations make this dilemma very
hard to answer: there is no self evident answer and there are a lot of difficult ethical
questions involved. People like the philosopher Patrick Lin argue that automated
systems are unable to engage in moral judgments as such. Lin concludes that
automated cars should not go unsupervised. Others argue that it is possible to teach
artificial intelligence systems the basic of ethics. If this can be done, autonomous cars
will be able to decide what the best thing to do
Masculinity In Old Spice
Some say that it grants what it truly promises, others say it is only our imagination.
The portrayal of masculinity and manliness are quite prevalent in most of the old
spice ads. Given the obvious scope of the ad, which is to sell the product, the ad
seems to portray other things. Masculinity shows itself in the ad through different
mannerisms. The appearance of the man, the behavior the man is seen to have, and
the sexuality. The Smell Like A Man ad is seen to portray two different ideals. One
of which promotes the viewer to want to become a masculine man. The other,
however, lays claim that the product will help in achieving this form of masculinity,
not in a physical sense but in a mental sense. The most portrayed ideals in the Old
Spice ads are dominance, strength, and competitiveness of the manly figure. The
ad is somewhat targeted towards women to buy their partner old spice in order for
him to become a man. That is shown when the character states that Your man can
smell like a man if he uses Old Spice (Old Spice). The sense of domination over the
man watching the ad is obvious. The man in the ad is physically fit and shows that
through his confidence when he tells the women, who are also watching, to look
back at me (Old Spice). Following that up with a statement that separates the man in
the ad from the man watching claiming that he is not like me (Old Spice). Thus
leaving the women watching in a desperate state to make their man like the man in
the ad. After
Poverty Alleviation Related Policy And Actions
Poverty Alleviation Related Policy and Actions in Guangdong Since 2009,
Guangdong province has developed a unique pattern in poverty alleviation and
development called Double To , that is, Plan to Every Household, Responsibility to
People . Plan to Every Household includes the identification of targets for poverty
alleviation programme. Able bodied rural residents whose incomes are below the
poverty line are the main targets for poverty reduction program. The government will
establish and improve poverty identification mechanism, build up archives and
update them dynamically so as to ensure the effective support for the targeted poor
population. On this basis and according to the specific requirements of poverty
alleviation and development of county level, the local government will further make
plans for the targeted poor population, suit the implement of poverty alleviation and
development to local conditions, and tackle every obstacle step by step and village
by village. Responsibility to People include leader responsibility, work responsibility,
linked responsibility, support responsibility, society responsibility, and self
responsibility. The core meaning of Responsibility to People is to make sure that the
implement of every poverty alleviation and development programme is closely linked
to the responsible ones, so that a responsibility system can be maintained throughout
the poverty alleviation and development programme, a system in
The World with Journalism
Career Research Project Essay
Without journalism, we would not be living the life we have today. At the end of
the 20th Century there was a poll on what was the greatest invention of the last
millennium. The top invention was the printing press invented by Guttenberg. The
reason for the selection was the written word preserved knowledge. Prior to this
everything we learned was passed by word of mouth. Many disasters and disease
caused knowledge to be lost. Essentially mankind had to relearn things over and over
again.
Journalism has been around since before the printing press was even invented.
People have always, naturally spread information. There were many peoples who
had elders who would give the oral history of their people and who would tell
heroic tales. Homer told the story of the Iliad for the Greeks. African chiefs told tales
of bravery of their peoples. The same occurred throughout the World from the
American Indians, the Mayas and Aztec to the Aboriginals of Australia. Journalism is
the passing of knowledge and ideas between people.
From the creation of the printing press and Gutenberg s Bible, print journalism
evolved to include included reporting in newspapers, magazines and anything else
that is printed. Print journalism later expanded to broadcast journalism,
photojournalism, gonzo journalism and many other forms of journalism.
For example there are reporters who report news. This type of journalism can be news
reporting for business, news, human
Music Impact On Music
Music is inevitable in our lives. It is an extremely common and accessible form of
entertainment that is used in various circumstances such as in a musical band,
karaoke, as well as during physical exercise (). Music today is also used as a
therapy, which can effectively improve our social and psychological outcomes, such
as anxiety and depression that may cause from a tragic event. The different styles of
music elements applied to a song, such as the rhythm, tempoand melody, have a role
in impacting our emotional perception (). Music also has shown to be effective in
affecting one s behavior. Our choice of music can be a reflection of our personal
attitudes (). Moreover, dopamine, which is a neurotransmitter that plays a major role
in our reward motivated behavior, can be enhanced or attenuated through music
listening in our brain, and hence, has an impact to our sensations (VNS). Other than
that, the stress related hormones that are produced in our body can also be altered
in response to music (). Music not only includes rhythm and melody, the lyrics of a
song could also be important to express the story of one s past experience and emotion
(). The purpose of the playlist created below is to motivate and encourage myself to
become stronger, and also to bring myself back to the past with the memories I left
behind, as well as relieving my mind and stress. All the songs chosen to be included
in the playlist are from the music playlist in my phone. Each of them has its own
The Difference in Thoughts on Freedom of the Grand...
Q1: The Grand Inquisitor According to The Grand Inquisitor, human beings do
not want absolute freedom. The parable of Dostoevsky is told on a religious level,
whereby the Inquisitor condemns Christ for offering human beings the choice
between good and evil yet gives them a weak will to make such decisions. It is
better to be happy and to have no choices, says the Inquisitor, since so many people
will end up miserable and condemned as a result of their freedom. (Much like
Adam and Eve seem inevitably destined to be cast out of the Garden of Eden by
their own, freely willed choice to eat of the Tree of Knowledge). To a
contemporary American, the idea that freedom could be negative is profoundly
disturbing. The value of freedom is so dear to our secular culture that it is seen as
a universal good. However, it can be observed that even within a relatively free
society, people often seem desperate to constrict themselves with self made
prisons. People remain in bad marriages and bad jobs, saying they have no choice,
without exploring the limits of what choice means. Theoretically, one can walk
away from a bad job and not look back, provided one is willing to accept the
uncertainty of not knowing where the next paycheck will come from. But the
anxiety of too many choices often paralyzes the individual so we prefer to say we
have no choice. The idea of security, which The Grand Inquisitor says is what
people really want, can cause many people to reject a happier, freer life.
Reward And The Reward System
Reward system creates positive culture in the organization. The organization culture
will be affected depending on the way the reward system strategies are developed,
adjusted and implemented. Various cultures within the organisation such as human
resource, entrepreneurship, innovation, competence based fair and participative
culture. It also affects communication, motivation and satisfaction of the labor force.
For instance, if the firm appreciates the efforts of employees, then they will work
hard to achieve their personal value. On the other hand, of the firm give equal
rewards to all the employees without considering individual effort then most of the
staff will slack.
For instance, the company can give extra bonus to employees who show ... Show

the employees and the employer. The company can modify the reward system
depending on the need of the firm. For instance, quality of food, customer service
and presentation skills are more important in food industry. So the company gives
reward to staff who takes cooking courses, customer services courses.
For instance, rewarding all the employees can create united structure in the
organization which promotes more team work and discourage competition within the
firm.
On the other hand, rewarding employees depending upon the performance can
differentiate the higher performing staff and the lower performing staff which means
individual efforts is rewarded. In such cases the individual focus on individual
performance rather than team performance.
So depending upon the organization structure, the reward system can be designed
carefully in a way that it meets the firm s target. The food industry or company
should never underestimate the affect a good reward system has on the growth of an
organization.
REQUIREMENTS
An effective reward system should honor the needs of the employees in order to
accelerate the organization growth. Some of the basic needs include:
COMPENSATION
Basic salary of an individual.

The Seven Habits Of Highly Effective People There Are A...
Have you ever thought about what you re doing in Your future? What are your
plans? are you proactive or un proactive? Well in the book, The 7 Habits of Highly
Effective People There are a lot of things by Stephen Covey It can tell you if you re
doing the right things with your life or not, and can get answers in the following
7th habits of life. Are you proactive ? do you do things without being asked to ? are
you able to brush things off without getting offended or getting mad when someone
tell you something ? Each day you and I get about 100 chances to choose whether
to be proactive or reactive. by Stephen Covey. You get chances all the time to make
choices. Some people choose to be proactive and do the right things. For example
if your know you have to clean the house, why wait until your mom has to tells you
and start yelling at you. It s better to be proactive and do it without her telling you.
You can use this habit in so many ways. The proactive approach to a mistake is to
acknowledge it instantly, and learn from it and not letting it happen again. you
have the freedom to choose your response and to choose your action no one can
choose them for you so, if your do something that s not right why complain and
argue, yes you can but, at the same time you were the one to choose your actions.
There are so many things in life that can put you down and make you upset. You
should always take responsibility for your choices and that s the problems with
today s humans in this world. Trying to point the finger at someone else, even tho
they already know it was there fault. You re probably asking why ? that my
question for so long but still not being able to get the answer, but i ll tell you my
side of the point. You should always bounce back when you get hurt or get upset
look at the positive side there is always a really big reason why things happen.
There always people that start crying and just putting all there stressed on them
and acting if something will change just by them crying. My mom all ways told me
to draw my own path and turn left and never followed what people try telling me
even if it s good . See my dad use to work for a company and that company only paid
him 100$ a day he

The United Colours Of Benetton
The definition of a brand has evolved over the years, giving it a variety of
meanings. Williams (2000) defines it as a combination of names, slogans, logos,
product design, packaging, advertising and marketing that together give particular
products or services a physical, recognisable form . Another definition describes a
brand as a form of crystallised knowledge (Arvidsson 2005 p. 7). Brands can also
use as a strategy to differentiate themselves from competitors, to potentially
encourage the consumer to recognise and purchase their goods. Hart and Murphy
(1998) points out that people have used brands and marks to distinguish products
since the earliest times, dating back to 2000 BC . According to research owners of
cattle, slaves, timber and crockery would burn or brand they produce using markings
or symbols, using a hot rod iron. The term branding originates from the Old Norse
Brand , which means to burn (Kurtuldu, 2008).
The United Colours of Benetton is clothing company, especially known in the 1980s
for its flamboyant advertising campaigns which communicated social issues of the
time. In the earlier years, Benetton used standard forms of traditional advertising.
However, in 1983 Benetton collaborated with creative director Olivier Toscani who
would transform the brand s image forever. Their advertisements have proven to
shock and mentally stimulate the viewer; as well as develop public consciousness.
Being a particularly conventional clothing company Benetton
Primordial and Modernist Schooling
Primordial school Primordial school and modernist school are two very important
main streams in identity study. Especially, in the national identity study, both of
them have involved the study of nationalism and have a very unlike view of it. And
they are often highly debated of the origins of nations and their identity. The root of
primordial school is originally based on the German romanticism and it mainly
argues how those fixed factors influence in identity shape process. Those factors are
constantly stable throughout the history and hardly changed. The factors have been
passed on to generations and constructing the identity of people who lives in
nowadays. For example, language is one of these elements. Language is unique and
distinct from other ones. People who speak this language will have their own identity
and formed a special group which makes them different from other language
speaking groups. And in primordial school idea, same language speaking group will
result in similar thought. Because of people learn language from the community
where they live and each community will has its thought or behavior. These will
transmit to people who learn that language. Therefore, for primordial school language
is one of the key elements in identity shaping. Another pivotal and principle factor for
shaping identity is the kinship. Primordial school argues that people joining into
groups by their blood or genetic relationship with each other. Family members will

Argumentative Essay On Pennies
Something really irritating about is this Air Base is that no one takes pennies. Not
the Px, or the commissary, nor the shoppe. No one. Not a soul. I think they should
allow pennies, or at least have one of those coin counting machines from Wal Mart.
I have boats of pennies that I never use. I won t be using those pennies for the next
four years. I mean everytime I go to some type of Military store I have to pull out
the magical nickel I always have with me even though I m only paying three cents.
What s the purpose, I don t even get my change back. Why?, because they don t
have pennies! This base needs to get it together. There s no reason to have prices
like four fifty one, or twenty six cents. If I don t get my pennies in return. What
would be so hard about dragging a seventy pound coin machine that requires no
work. Yes, I m serious no manual work. You pour your coins in, and a voucher

Still, what s the difference? Adding another machine so that it can benefit people.
We should make every penny the new dollar bills so that they can be useful. I would

America can get out of debt. Pennies. They would solve it

Raising a child with a birth defect
A birth defect is a physical or mental malformation present at birth. Some birth
defects are visible such as leprosy, and some are eternal such as abnormal body

and others transpire when external factors affect a child maturation in the womb. For
instance, a child whose mother smoked during pregnancy is vulnerable and likely to

A recent study contends that, in many occurrences, the birth of a child brings a sense

Research Paper On The War On Drugs
The War on Drugs: Judicial vs Legislative
The war on drugs has proven to be a long standing complex issue in today s society.
Decades after Regan declared America s stand on the drug epidemic, this subject is
still a topic of conversation amongst the government, local and federal, along with
concerned citizens. America has made little to no progress in decreasing drug
addiction and distribution in communities and has yet to find a solution on how to
stop drug pollution. Many years later, with still or solution, one may ask, is this
indeed a judicial issue? Or it is a legislative problem? Why has the government been

Officials that understand that a choice has to be made by the government, a
healthy society or a monetary gain. Federal and state govermnents are ran like
businesses; they have incoming revenue and outgoing expenses. Their main
agenda is profit, not nessecarily in rehabiliation. In the case of drugs and
rehibilitation it cost more to rehabilitate people, and to foster job creation than it
does sending citizens to jail. Most of the jails and correctional facilities are
privately owned now, and have strict quotas for prision population that can range
from 90% to 100% occupancy quota. The states have to meet these occupacy
quotas or risk the result of being charged for the empty beds that the prisons hold,
which will be at the taxpayers expense. Well how does this system keep the money
flowing? It has to be done through more arrests, and not just arrests that send you
the city or county jails for a couple of days, arrest for crimes that carry weight, that
carry time, which in turn equals currency. Certain crimes mandate a minimum of
80% of the time to be served, which means a constant flow of inventory for the
private prisons systems. Now the question comes to mind, What is the true purpose
of prisons, Rehabilitatation or for profit. That depends on who operates them, private

Sexity And Sexuality In Christina Rossetti s Goblin Market
Christina Rossetti s, Goblin Market message focuses around the sexual content and
vicious descriptions of men, symbolizing them as goblins. This narrative poem
focuses on two girls, Lizzie and Laura, who get tempted by the goblins selling a
generous variety of fruits. Many readers made a first connection to the story
understanding it to be relating to sexuality and virginity. Making it hard for the
readers to see what other moral or messages might be there that could potential be the
main ones. With a different shift of focus, and a fresh new perspective, the hidden
compassionate message of sisterhood can be found. GoblinMarket s focus is not
entirely on the steamy erotic poem that is designed to challenge sexuality during the
Victorian era, but rather the sexual content is a method of disproving the
misconceptions regarding powerless women, and showing how powerful the bond is
between the two sisters as they break the expectations of society.
As this poem is written in the Victorian era, restrictions against women and how
they are supposed to behave and act can be clearly seen in the details of this poem.
In the beginning, the speaker provides the main factors about the girls. The speaker
tells the readers that they are quite scared to look at the goblins, We must not look at
goblin men/We must not buy their fruits (7). Offering readers a sense that they are
taught not to make eye contact with men. At the beginning, they may seem like they
are afraid to challenge the

Violation of Fourteenth Amendment Due Process Rights
FACTS Appellant Brady was found guilty of first degree murder by the Maryland
Court system. During his trial hearing Brady admitted to participating in the
organization and forethought of the crime with a partner, although plead that he
himself did not commit the crime. After disclosing his involvement, Brady s
lawyer admitted to his guilt but asked for a lesser penalty since Brady didn t
commit the murder. Before trial Brady s council asked for all relevant information
to the trial and were given most, but not all of it. The withholding of evidence was a
violation of due processlaws in which a new trial was requested. A new trial was
granted but only for sentencing and not a retrial of fact.
PROCEDURAL HISTORY Brady was convicted of murder in the first degree even
though he proclaimed not have committed the murder and that his partner in crime
carried out the deed, no pun intended. His accomplice had admitted to committing
the murder in a separate trial which Brady learned of later on. The confession of his
accomplice was suppressed and not shared with the defense as it had been requested.
After the defense learned of this suppression, an appeal was filed and remanded the
case for retrial of sentencing only. The United States Supreme Court upheld the
decision and confirmed while the withheld evidence did violate the due process
clause, it didn t prove innocence and a granting just a new sentencing trial was legal.

  • 1. How To Write An Informative Essay Writing an essay on the topic "How To Write An Informative Essay" can be both challenging and rewarding. The difficulty lies in the intricate balance one must strike between providing valuable information and maintaining an engaging writing style. Crafting an informative essay requires a thorough understanding of the chosen subject matter, meticulous research, and the ability to present the information in a clear and organized manner. One of the challenges is to avoid overwhelming the reader with excessive details while ensuring that the essential points are adequately covered. This phenomenon helps Kuwait save water, since people in the country having high education have the idea that water is precious for them and save water as possible as they can avoiding to waste. Furthermore, this policy enhances the chance of cultivating high tech talents who can research and develop new techniques to relieve or solve water shortage. The Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, founded in 1967 at Safat, promotes and conducts scientific research in the fields of food resources, water resources, oil sector support, and environmental studies (Kuwait Science and technology). To some extent, building public infrastructures can relive the pressure of water shortage. For instance, Kuwait has approved the construction of a series of desalination facilities and other infrastructure projects worth a total of around 3 billion Kuwaiti dinars ($9.9 billion), the finance ministry said on Saturday (Reuters, 2015). If these infrastructure projects are finished, it will benefit to both Kuwaiti and Kuwait. Another example is that Kuwait upgrade transforms Kuwait WWTP which will improve the plant s production capacity from 375,000 to 600,000 cubic meters per day, making it the largest facility of its kind in
  • 3. Themes In For Whom The Bells Tolls We all are put to the test by having to make sacrifices like a life or death situation. Although the majority of those choices may be for the greater good, some can hurt others. We are put to the task, and we have several obstacles in our way, and it is our duty to accomplish that task. In Ernest Hemingway s For Whom the Bells Tolls, the character of Robert Jordan risks his life to fight fascism to do his duty, take care of Maria and to wash away his father suicide. To begin with, Robert Jordan takes care of the woman he loves, Maria. Ever since Robert Jordan went with the reclusive group in the mountain, the two of them had empathy of love towards each other. Robert Jordan tries to reject the adulation they have for each other because he thinks that after the bridge is blown, they will not see each other anymore. Maria refuses to think that and shows all her love towards him. Soon Robert Jordan seems to care more about Maria and uses their passion for each other as a distraction from the war. Hewson states that Jordan comes to realize that he and Maria are making an alliance against death through their love for each other (6). Their love for each other designates them forget about everything, and all they want to do is be together. The alliance against death that they have is significant in the story. Being together assembles them to feel powerful and gives them both hope and strength during their hard times there. This helps out both of these characters in their own

Progressivism, like essentialism, reveals merit in its name. Progressivism holds that education should be an enriching process of ongoing growth . Teachers should demonstrate that learning is an ongoing process of enrichment and enlightenment. The idea of interdisciplinary study contributes to this. For example, a student who excels at math may grow to appreciate chemistry for its mathematical component. Or, a cooperative learning approach to a real world problem can allow students with various intelligences to experience success while contributing their respective talents to a group. Progressivism also seeks to teach different points of view, and this is essential for students to appreciate other cultures. Finally, the emphasis placed on problem solving and using previous experience and knowledge can benefit all students and may be applied to any subject. Perennialism emphasizes a study of philosophy and a pursuit of knowledge simply for the sake of learning. The absence of a biological parent may be due to incarceration, drug abuse, mental illness or military deployment (Yancura, 2013). Each of which disallow acceptable care from the biological parent which sometimes places the burden to care for the child on the grandparent. This absence is commonly known as custodial grand parenting (Population Reference Bureau, 2011). In these circumstances the grandparent often takes the grandchild into care to avoid them going into foster care. While this may be necessary for the children s safety, permanency, and well being, this may also contribute to serious problems affecting the grandparent s own well being. According to Yancura, the risk of physical, intellectual, or emotional stress becomes greater the longer a grandparent cares for their grandchild. It may be severely overwhelming for grandparents to meet the essential needs for a child s well being when already at a point in life when their own health problems are at a rise (Barusch, 2013). Balancing care for oneself and for the grandchild becomes stressful. Barusch (2013) explains, often grandparents must sacrifice their own well being and instead nurture the grandchild. In The Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, darkness is relevant throughout the text. Darkness is evident in many of the themes and even the setting of the text. The biggest theme of the text is imperialism. If we were to rewind many years back, imperialism was one of the darkest times. During imperialism, the civilized countries have invaded the uncivilized countries to exploit the indigenous people of the uncivilized country. Along with the exploitation of the indigenous people many of them were killed. Just learning about the age of imperialism filled the classroom with clouds of darkness. How can someone be so dark? • 11. The Allegory of the Cave by Plato The Allegory of the Cave by Plato represents the differences in the way we perceive reality and what we believe is real. In his story, Plato starts by saying that in a cave, there are prisoners chained down and are forced to look at a wall. The prisoners are unable to turn their heads to see what is going on behind them and are completely bound to the floor. Behind the prisoners, puppeteers hide and cast shadows on the wall in line with the prisoners sight, thus giving the prisoners their only sense of reality. What happens in the passage is not told from the prisoners point of view but is actually a conversation held between Socrates and Glaucon (Plato s brother). As Socrates is describing the cave and the situation, he stresses the point that the prisoners are completely oblivious as to what is reality as they would know nothing but the shadows casted by items held by the puppeteers, and believe this to be their own reality. This is important to the story as it shows that what we believe is real from the moment we are born is completely wrong based on our own flawed interpretations of reality. The point so far is that it is not what we can see but what we can t see is what grasps our minds and Plato describes this thinking as imagination. Once one of the prisoners is released, he is forced to look at the fire and the objects that once made up his perceived reality, and realizes that the new images he is made to acknowledge are now the accepted forms of reality.

People like the philosopher Patrick Lin argue that automated systems are unable to engage in moral judgments as such. Lin concludes that automated cars should not go unsupervised. Others argue that it is possible to teach artificial intelligence systems the basic of ethics. If this can be done, autonomous cars will be able to decide what the best thing to do
  • 26. Masculinity In Old Spice Some say that it grants what it truly promises, others say it is only our imagination. The portrayal of masculinity and manliness are quite prevalent in most of the old spice ads. Given the obvious scope of the ad, which is to sell the product, the ad seems to portray other things. Masculinity shows itself in the ad through different mannerisms. The appearance of the man, the behavior the man is seen to have, and the sexuality. The Smell Like A Man ad is seen to portray two different ideals. One of which promotes the viewer to want to become a masculine man. The other, however, lays claim that the product will help in achieving this form of masculinity, not in a physical sense but in a mental sense. The most portrayed ideals in the Old Spice ads are dominance, strength, and competitiveness of the manly figure. The ad is somewhat targeted towards women to buy their partner old spice in order for him to become a man. That is shown when the character states that Your man can smell like a man if he uses Old Spice (Old Spice). The sense of domination over the man watching the ad is obvious. The man in the ad is physically fit and shows that through his confidence when he tells the women, who are also watching, to look back at me (Old Spice). Following that up with a statement that separates the man in the ad from the man watching claiming that he is not like me (Old Spice). Thus leaving the women watching in a desperate state to make their man like the man in the ad. After

  • 28. The World with Journalism Career Research Project Essay Without journalism, we would not be living the life we have today. At the end of the 20th Century there was a poll on what was the greatest invention of the last millennium. The top invention was the printing press invented by Guttenberg. The reason for the selection was the written word preserved knowledge. Prior to this everything we learned was passed by word of mouth. Many disasters and disease caused knowledge to be lost. Essentially mankind had to relearn things over and over again. Journalism has been around since before the printing press was even invented. People have always, naturally spread information. There were many peoples who had elders who would give the oral history of their people and who would tell heroic tales. Homer told the story of the Iliad for the Greeks. African chiefs told tales of bravery of their peoples. The same occurred throughout the World from the American Indians, the Mayas and Aztec to the Aboriginals of Australia. Journalism is the passing of knowledge and ideas between people. From the creation of the printing press and Gutenberg s Bible, print journalism evolved to include included reporting in newspapers, magazines and anything else that is printed. • 30. The Difference in Thoughts on Freedom of the Grand... Q1: The Grand Inquisitor According to The Grand Inquisitor, human beings do not want absolute freedom. The parable of Dostoevsky is told on a religious level, whereby the Inquisitor condemns Christ for offering human beings the choice between good and evil yet gives them a weak will to make such decisions. It is better to be happy and to have no choices, says the Inquisitor, since so many people will end up miserable and condemned as a result of their freedom. (Much like Adam and Eve seem inevitably destined to be cast out of the Garden of Eden by their own, freely willed choice to eat of the Tree of Knowledge). To a contemporary American, the idea that freedom could be negative is profoundly disturbing. The value of freedom is so dear to our secular culture that it is seen as a universal good. However, it can be observed that even within a relatively free society, people often seem desperate to constrict themselves with self made prisons. People remain in bad marriages and bad jobs, saying they have no choice, without exploring the limits of what choice means. Theoretically, one can walk away from a bad job and not look back, provided one is willing to accept the uncertainty of not knowing where the next paycheck will come from. But the anxiety of too many choices often paralyzes the individual so we prefer to say we have no choice. The idea of security, which The Grand Inquisitor says is what people really want, can cause many people to reject a happier, freer life.

Most of the jails and correctional facilities are privately owned now, and have strict quotas for prision population that can range from 90% to 100% occupancy quota. The states have to meet these occupacy quotas or risk the result of being charged for the empty beds that the prisons hold, which will be at the taxpayers expense.
