1. Best College Essay Examples
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Best College Essay Examples" can prove to be a challenging
task for several reasons. Firstly, the topic itself requires a comprehensive understanding of what
constitutes an exemplary college essay. This necessitates extensive research into various essays
that have been well-received by academic institutions, analyzing their structure, content, and
overall effectiveness.
Moreover, selecting the best examples involves subjective judgment, as opinions on what makes
an essay outstanding may vary. It requires a keen eye for detail and a nuanced understanding of
the specific criteria that different colleges prioritize in their application essays. This means
delving into the intricacies of different educational institutions, their values, and expectations
from prospective students.
The writing process becomes more intricate when attempting to articulate the qualities that
elevate certain essays above others. Expressing these nuances in a clear and compelling manner
requires a mastery of language and rhetoric. It involves not only describing the features of
exemplary essays but also explaining why they stand out and how they align with the values of
the colleges in question.
Furthermore, crafting a compelling essay on this topic demands the ability to synthesize
information effectively. It's not merely about listing examples but also about creating a narrative
that weaves these examples together coherently, drawing insightful conclusions about what
makes them exemplary.
In addition to these challenges, there's the constant need to balance objectivity with personal
insight. While discussing the examples, the writer must infuse their own perspective without
overshadowing the primary focus on the essays themselves. Striking the right balance is crucial to
maintain the credibility and coherence of the essay.
In conclusion, writing an essay on "Best College Essay Examples" demands a multifaceted
approach involving extensive research, critical analysis, effective synthesis, and a nuanced
understanding of both the topic and the audience. It's a task that requires a combination of
research skills, writing proficiency, and a deep appreciation for the subtleties that define
exceptional college essays.

2. Why Television Is The Extension Of Human Senses Along
With...
Introduction In this day and age, television is seen as the most useful technology in
the world where we get enough information, entertainment and knowledge. People
believe that it is more preferable to have a television rather than to watch a live play
in the theatre due to the freedom of relaxation and high level of participation. In this
essay, Marshall McLuhan s technology is the extension of human senses along with
Walter Benjamin s reproduction of art would be analyzed. The main of this essay is
to analyze two theoretical concepts and compare them to one another in relation to
televisionand also how these two theoretical concepts would approach television as a
technology. Television is a machine with a screen, which is used for... Show more

Then in 1906, Philo Taylor Farnsworth who was twenty one years old at that time
invented electrical Television on September 7th, 1927. During that time, electrical
television was still black and white; later on colour television was first introduced in
the United States in 1953. Television moved from just news and silent films to soap
operas, cartoons, music videos and other types of informational and entertainment
things which influences us positively and negatively.
Theories
Marshall McLuhan, who was a Canadian communication theorist, was very much
interested in technology and how it shapes the advanced modern society. His very
famous theory was the medium is the message which means that the resource used or
mode through which they are presenting shows the message, not really the content.
This theory then leads to how technology is seen as an extension to human senses.
McLuhan stated, Media have powerful effects on societies. Moreover, media become
extensions of ourselves; extensions of our human senses (Laughey, 2010, p. 33). Just
like the way our eyes see, our nose smell, our skin feels and our other senses have
their function, McLuhan emphasis the fact that technology is the extension of our
psychological, social and intellectual (inner) senses. In relation to Television as a
technology, McLuhan would agree that technology is an extension to our human sense
due to the fact that in recent days it is something that is used everyday. Humans use
3. Advertising And Advertising
The Internet as the main provider of information and entertainment in children
nowadays is significantly linked to advertising and its trends throughout the media
that are directly affecting children s behavior and development. The digital world has
provoked a great transformation in advertising and its effects in social behavior.
Brands are constantly renovating, and the Internet has made it accessible for them
to spread their messages as a brand and impact children especifically the ages
between 6 to 14 years old. The main objective of this paper is to inquire and
investigate the behavior of children in society nowadays, and their responses in an
environment massively changed by digitalera and its trends. The results will be able
to identify how gradually individuals have been affected by the excessive exposure to
advertising and media.
Introduction The growth of technology within new generations of society has created
new tendencies in which the use of different channels that distribute information
online like, social networks, or virtual blogs have been the main target used by
advertising to shoot at people with images of brands to indirectly attract the viewers
to like a certain type of product and style. Therefore, depending on what type of
audience is being targeted, advertising will be different from one category to the other.
The digital world has grown significantly around the world since the 90 s generating
social changes that have been positive and
4. IIAM Foundation s Scholarship Analysis
Because of my history of academic achievement, I believe that I am a deserving
recipient of the IIAM Foundation s scholarship. Throughout my entire life, I have
always strived for academic excellence, putting in the extra effort needed to rise to the
top. The effort that I have put forth in school has perpetuated my understanding of the
importance of obtaining a quality educationafter high schoolgraduation. Unfortunately
for the individual looking to push forward in his academic career, a bachelor s
degree, while not only generally requiring an additional four years, also requires a
substantial amount of money in order to pay for attendance. This poses an interesting
conflict to the aspiring collegestudent: to pursue continued education and be forced
to pay for college in one form or another or to refrain from attendance. While
college was never an option for me, I have always understood its importance in
helping me build a successful career and never had any intentions not to attend.
However, as I grew older, I began to understand how expensive a degree truly is, and
researched the best ways to bypass post graduation debt. Though it has been time
consuming... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Perhaps the most defining feature of my passion to attend college is the ability to
continue learning in a classroom environment. Though I learn everyday outside of
the classroom, the scape of what I learn in the classroom has a unique effect of my
desire to be there. I have always had a longing to know as much about anything as I
possibly could and college continues to teach me about things I would have otherwise
never had the opportunity to know. If I am to receive one of the IIAM Chairmen s
scholarships, the committee can know to an absolute certainty that their recipient has
a passion for learning and that he understands the utter importance of a college degree
on his own
6. A Definition of Collaborative vs Cooperative Learning
A Definition of Collaborative vs Cooperative Learning
Ted Panitz (1996)
[pic]
I have been searching for many years for the Holy Grail of interactive learning, a
distinction between collaborative and cooperative learning definitions. I am getting
closer to my elusive goal all the time but I am still not completely satisfied with my
perception of the two concepts. I believe my confusion arises when I look at
processes associated with each concept and see some overlap or inter concept usage.
I will make a humble attempt to clarify this question by presenting my definitions and
reviewing those of other authors who have helped clarify my thinking.
Collaboration is a philosophy of interaction and personal lifestyle whereas
cooperation is a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The major difference lies in the fact that cooperative deals exclusively with traditional
(canonical) knowledge while collaborative ties into the social constructivist
movement, asserting that both knowledge and authority of knowledge have changed
dramatically in the last century. The result has been a transition from foundational
(cognitive) understanding of knowledge , to a nonfoundational ground where we
understand knowledge to be a social construct and learning a social process (Brufee,
Collaborative learning: Higher Education, Interdependence, and the Authority of
Knowledge, 1993). Rockwood states:
In the ideal collaborative environment, the authority for testing and determining the
appropriateness of the group product rests with, first, the small group, second, the
plenary group (the whole class) and finally (but always understood to be subject to
challenge and revision) the requisite knowledge community (i.e. the discipline:
geography, history, biology etc.) The concept of non foundational knowledge
challenges not only the product acquired, but also the process employed in the
acquisition of foundational knowledge.
Most importantly, in cooperative, the authority remains with the instructor, who
retains ownership of the task, which involves either a closed or a closable (that is to
say foundational) problem ( the instructor knows or can predict the answer). In
collaborative, the instructor once the task is set transfers
7. Zoos, Aquariums And Museum
Nowadays, it is hard to find a person who has never been in a zoo, aquarium or
museum. Since childhood we find it fancy to observe animals and exhibits, but
sometimes even adults do not understand what the real value of zoos, aquariums and
museums is.
First, it is necessary to explain the main goals of these institutions which are to
increase knowledge about the surrounding, to learn about conservation related
behavior and to build conservation principles. In order to fulfill these goals, modern
zoos, aquariums and museums provide a huge range of possibilities such as arranging
specific exhibitions ensuring visual experiences, presenting new information and
joining the conservation organization (Yalowitz).
In addition, the information given in an exhibition is not as memorable as it seems at
first. After a week or more people are tend to forget the main message of the
presentation. Thus, it means that zoos, aquariums and museums have to find a way
how to increase an impact during people s visits.
This is further shown by the fact that the follow up visitors gain more knowledge
than the first time ones. In other words, the follow up visitors are more likely to ...

Some of them want to observe exhibits to bate his or her curiosity, others have
hobby passions on the shown topic and would like to gain a new experience. What
is also worth mentioning is that information presented in an exposure has to
comprise needs of every visitor, and zoos, aquariums and museums have to make it
easy for everyone to understand and comprehend all that was shown and said. Other
aspects such as age, gender, social group, ethnicity and basic level of knowledge
should also be taken into consideration. Besides, another argument is that institutions
should also provide programs for distinguishing motivations in order to fulfill one s
expectations and to increase long term knowledge (why zoos

9. Persuasive Essay On Cost Of Textbooks
Everyone strives to go to college and get a degree in something they love to do.
There is just one small problem in the way of many people s dreams, college
textbooks. Now at first it sounds pretty dumb until you see that the average student in
the U.S spends about $1,200 on textbooks each year. One textbookcan go up to $200,
that s just one textbook in one class.
I m here today to help find some ways we can reduce the cost so more people can
chase their dream job. The reason textbooks are so pricey is due to the fact that
there aren t many publishers creating these books, resulting in publishers jacking
up the prices. So like I just said, the average student in the U.S spends around
$1,200 on books alone each year. That is crazy considering you have to pay for the
class and all of the other classes and books for those classes. Let s rewind the clock
some years back. In the 1970 s, college textbooks did not cost that much but now
the cost has risen over 961 percent since then. To understand it a bit more, that is 3
times the rate of inflation. The cost of textbooks is increasing rapidly, one book
costs between $200 $300. That is just for one book alone, imagine if you need 2
books for every class you are taking that semester or year. A way we could
theoretically reduce the cost of textbooks would be by not buying any, forcing the
publishers to drop the price. Another way would be if someone entered into that
business and sold the same books for less, the other would

Laboratory 7: Environmental Effects on Enzyme Activity

Abstract
During this experiment we tested the effects that specific environmental conditions
have on the enzyme, peroxidase. Through this experiment we developed an
understanding of enzymes and their functions. By exposing the enzymes to different
environments, we observed a changed in their activity. In order for us to measure
these changes we used the technique of spectrophotometry, meaning we used a
spectrophotometer, which measures the amount of light a chemical can absorb. In
our findings we discovered that certain environmental factors such as pH, temperature
, boiling do have an affect on enzyme activity. In conclusion the five null hypothesis
were proven to be incorrect.
Introduction
Enzymes are biological catalysts that carry thousands of chemical reactions that occur
in living cells. They could be found in every living thing. Enzymes increase the rate at
which chemical reactions occur. A catalyst speeds up a chemical reaction by lowering
the activation energy required. They are proteins made up of several amino acids.
Each enzyme is different due to its structure, it all has different amino acid sequence.
An enzymes ability to function depends on it s environment. These factors include
temperature, denaturation, pH, the size , the shape, and the amount of enzymes
present. Enzymes performs best at ph7. That is the same pH as blood , the more
enzymes stray away from pH7 the weaker it becomes , the active site gets damaged.
This makes the enzyme not active, no longer functional. When it comes to
temperature enzymes at a certain temperature have maximum activity. As temperature
increases the enzyme activity also increases. When enzymes reach their maximum
activity level and the temperature is still increasing it will start to decline
(denaturation). The rate of reaction also depends on how much enzymes are present.
We tested 5 hypothesis which were the amount of enzyme does not alter the rate of a
reaction. pH does not influence the rate of an enzyme reaction. Temperature does not
influence the rate of an enzyme activity. Boiling an enzyme before a reaction does
not influence enzyme activity. The

Ecology Interspecific Interactions Lab
Intro:
Ecology is the study of how organisms interact within their environment. Every
species interacts with its surroundings, whether it s within their populations,
community, ecosystem, etc. In this lab, we will be comparing two different species
and how they grow alone as well as together, in the same environment. More
specifically, in this lab, we will be dealing with one of the most important ideas in
ecology, the niche. Due to this concept, we can study the environmental
circumstances the organism can handle, the essential resources it will need to
survive, and how it will obtain these resources. Different species can hold similar
niches, and the same ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The carrying capacity determines the population level of a species according to the
limiting resources,
Algae is one of the most diverse and interesting organisms on the planet. This is
because there are over 10,000 unrelated species of organisms that contain
chlorophyll and live in large bodies of water or moist land. Keeping a count of
population size gives us a good indication of how certain species grow and interact
with one another. By using two different species of Algae we can determine what
types of interactions the two can encounter. The two species tested were Closterium
and Micrasterias algae. We labeled them as species 1 and 2. The purpose of this lab
is to determine whether the selected algae species will demonstrate competition or
resource partitioning with the coexistence of each other versus alone. At the end of
this lab we should be able to determine which species upheld the best under all of
these circumstances.
Methods:
This lab was performed with two different types of algae, Micrasterias and
Closterium. Within our groups, we counted how many of each species there were to
begin with. Each group sampled one micro liter of each algae stock, five times, and
then found the average of the five trials and converted it to milliliters. There were
three different test tubes of algae stock containing 100 individuals. The first
contained 100 Closterium,

The generation of self employment in non farm activities requires investment in
working capital. However, at low levels of income, the accumulation of such capital
may be difficult. Under such circumstances, loans, by increasing family income, can
help the poor to accumulate their own capital and invest in employment generating
activities (Hossain, 1988). Commercial banks and other formal institutions fail to
cater for the credit needs of smallholders, however, mainly due to their lending terms
and conditions. It is generally the rules and regulations of the formal financial
institutions that have created the myth that the poor are not bankable, and since they
can t afford the required collateral, they are considered uncreditworthy (Adera,
1995). Hence despite efforts to overcome the widespread lack of financial services,
especially among smallholders in developing countries, and the expansion of credit in
the rural areas of these countries, the majority still have only limited access to bank
services to support their private initiatives (Braverman and Guasch, 1986). In the
recent past, there has been an increased tendency to fund credit programmes in the
developing countries aimed at small scale enterprises. In Kenya, despite emphasis
on increasing the availability of credit to small and microenterprises (SMEs), access
to credit by such enterprises remains one of the major constraints they face. A 1995
14. The United Methodist Church Of Mishawaka, Indiana
Coalbush United Methodist Church is in Mishawaka, Indiana. The Indiana
Conference church development team selected Coalbush as a strategic location for
potential growth. The church is located right off of the US 20 bypass on the south
side of Mishawaka. The city is slowly moving out toward the country, which is how
this church views itself: a country church. Mishawaka is not predicted to experience
great growth in the next ten years with the make up of a household having little
change either. The majority of the people are Anglo American with little diversity.
This is a somewhat traditional community where the majority of people report a
sense of well being. The average household income is approximately $60,000. The
largest age group is between 35 55 years old.
I was appointed to Coalbush beginning July 1, 2016. I have been observing and
serving as I attempt to discover the unique context and setting for this local church in
this season of their very long history. The church mission and passion has been stalled
for the last few years. The Coalbush United Methodist Church entered a program
about five years ago to help them evaluate their fruitfulness and effectiveness of the
church. It was determined that too much time was spent in meetings and not enough
time actually doing ministry. The church went through a three year process of
attempting to restructure and lessen the many other committees of the church.

I disagree with this statement, there is evidence a Trojan War or Wars did happen,
possibly around north western Turkey. Eric Cline from the George Washington
University says The archaeological and textual evidence indicates that a Trojan War
or Wars took place and that Homer chose to write about one or more of them making
it into a great ten year long saga .
In the Illiad the Trojan Warwas fought around 1200 1100 BC. The Illiad was writing

Until the 19th century it actually was widely believed that Troy and the Trojan War

Schliemann excavated a site in Turkey. Schliemann surprised many by discovering
the lost city of Troy. Although Schliemann did discover the ruins of Troy destroyed
much of the discovery, he blasted his way down into the lower levels. Schliemann
however discovered nine cities at the sight, one on top of the other. Today we
believe that cities six and seven seem to be the cities that the Trojan War was likely
to be fought in.
The sixth city is very similar to Homer s Troy. However the city was destroyed in
1250B.C. and does not appear to have been destroyed by war, but an earthquake.
As I have said above in the Illiad Homer says that the Greeks breached the city

Poseidon, a Greek god who was god of the sea and horses. Eric Cline quotes on this

17. Nurses Are The Traditional Care Providers For Mothers
And...
Midwives are the traditional care providers for mothers and infants. They provide
support so that a woman s pregnancy is healthy and the have optimal births and that
they recover during the postpartum period. Midwifery is a woman centered
empowering model of maternity care that is utilized in all of the countries of the
world. Midwives practice in private homes or clinics or birth centers. Countries that
utilize midwives as primary health care providers are countries in which the mother
and the infant fare best. The U.S. ranks behind most of the developed world in terms
of infant and maternal mortality. Midwives cultivate relationships with women and
they value communication and developing trust. Midwives provide a more
personalized and thorough care on many levels throughout a woman s pregnancy
including preconception, pregnancy, labor, postpartum and even beyond that. There
are several different types of midwives and different pathways to education and
training. Most pathways result in certification and licensing like professional
Midwives. On the other hand, there are more traditional midwives and those are
midwives who for religious, personal, and philosophical reasons choose not to
become certified or licensed. Traditional midwives are also called community based
midwives. They believe that they are accountable to the community to heal and to
serve. ( What is a Midwife 2016: para 6) Every culture and religion have similarities

The Whitney Museum of American Art has often been referred to a citadel of
American Art, partially due to the museums façade, a striking granite building
(Figure 1), designed by Bauhaus trained architect Marcel Breuer. The museum
perpetuates this reference through its biennial review of contemporary American Art,
which the Whitney has become most famous for. The biennial has become since its
inception a measure of the state of contemporary artin America today.
Since the Museum s opening in 1931, the collection has grown to more than 12,000

For example, in the 2004 biennial their was 113 artists shown, consistent with the
2000 show of around 103 artists. The Whitney seems determined to include as much
art as possible that can fit in their relatively small sized museum in order to better
reflect the condition of the art scene in contemporary America.
To fully understand the role of the biennial today, we must look to its past. The
earliest Biennials were assembled informally; easy groups of artists and museum
personnel made the selections. Most of those in the show lived in New York City,
although many had originally come from elsewhere. In 1937, the format was
changed and the exhibitions became Annuals, with one year for painting, one for
sculpture and various media. Some years, a single Whitney curator chose pieces;
sometimes an outsider was added. In 1973, they went back to Biennials. Today the
tradition remains the same as was begun fully in 1973. Increasingly in current shows
curators search out a wide range of ethnic and gender varieties to fully grasp the
breadth of American culture that is represented in current art work. Their has been
much criticism of the Whitney and their exclusion of non American artists. There are
sections of critics who believe that the Whitney is only

Canadian automobile makers and part suppliers are suffering due to the cost

Canada, the assembly and parts manufacturing industries play a significant role

Without capitalizing on economies of scale, the new companies would have a
challenging time managing their expenses. In addition, it is a requirement that the
entrant has a strong distribution network if they plan to assemble their vehicles in
cheaper, emerging markets. Industry regulations and patents also threaten new
entrants.
The bargaining power of buyers within the auto industry is relatively low when
looking at the auto assembly brands, as there is an excessive cost associated with
switching from GM to Toyota, unless consumers have leased their vehicles, but
brand loyalty can be strong. The number of cars on Canadian roads sat at 24,269,868
in 2016, so the market has a high volume of potential buyers. (Statistics Canada,
2017)
Directly and indirectly, the auto industry in Canada employs massive amounts of
Canadian citizens, like workers in steel, plastic, and other manufacturing services,
along with the individuals who work within the auto parts assembly industry. To
compound the extent of the auto industry, the spending power of the auto workers
paycheques creates even more jobs. Due to the amount of jobs that hinge on the auto
industry, the Canadian government could be forced to act in support of the industry.
The fall of the industry could have catastrophic consequences that could ripple across
the Canadian economy, from east to west coast.
After the World Trade Organizationannihilated the Auto Pact, an agreement between

INTRODUCTION: FINDING THE MASTER KEY TO LIFE
For whoso findeth me [Wisdom] findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord.
PROVERBS 8:35
Wisdom Is The Master Key To Life.
When you find or get Wisdom, you acquire basic secrets to a better life.
A better life should most definitely be your genuine goal.
You should always bear in mind that your life always has room for improvement.
God alone is perfect. He cannot be improved upon.
You, however, can pursue personal improvement and seek with great enthusiasm and
great joy to change your life for the better.
You only have one life; therefore, you should continually seek to improve it and
make your human experience here in this world the best you can possibly make
it...and you gloriously achieve that with Wisdom.
Wisdom, in spite of that, has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Path Of Humility. The path of humility is the way of walking in humility.
Humility is defined as the quality or condition of being humble. You should be a
humble person. As a humble person, you are marked by meekness or modesty in
your behavior, your attitude, or your spirit. Being humble means not being arrogant
or prideful. God resists proud people, but He gives grace to humble people. But he
giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace
unto the humble, (James 4:6). Also, good people (those that are morally good)
reject proud persons but receive humble persons. Humble persons they receive they
give favor to. Humility makes you attractive a magnet for the favor of others. That s
why humility is a good path to follow in
22. Metro Transit And The Better Bus Stop Engagement Essay
Berry Farrington of Metro Transit and the Better Bus Stop Engagement
Context
The bus stop is the front porch of the Metro Transit system, said Berry Farrington,
senior planner at Metro Transit and the Better Bus Stops (BBS) project manager. It is
certainly where many Minnesotans start their daily travels. Given the role of the bus
stop, Metro Transit believes it is necessary to make these places safe, secure, and
comfortable for their riders. The BBS engagement process began in March 2016 in
an effort to not only add and improve bus shelters across Metro Transit s service
area but to engage with its riders in order to develop better parameters and guidelines
for future bus stop investments. The process will end in March 2017.
The funding for the BBS engagement comes from a $3.26 million dollar Ladders of
Opportunity Grant from the Federal Transit Administration for bus stop
improvements that Metro Transit won in late 2014. Besides improving bus shelters
and stops, Metro Transit also saw this grant as an opportunity to work towards the
Metropolitan Council regional government s Thrive MSP 2040 plan objective of
raising awareness of the complex interdependencies of income, race, place and
opportunity and to challenge both itself and others to think regionally and act
equitably for a better region for all.
The BBS process is also aimed at addressing Metro Transit s negative press from
failing to appropriately balance its bus stop investments across its ridership. A

Running head: SERIAL KILLER H. H. HOLMES
H. H. Holmes Valerie Jones Theories of Criminal Behavior September 23, 2012
Phillip Neely
Abstract
The United States first known serial killer was named H. H. Holmes. H. H. Holmes
would later be said to be an alias created by Herman Webster Mudgett who was a
doctor. It was said that Herman as a child had a privileged childhood. As a young
child Holmes appeared to be remarkably intellectual. According to Holmes s

After marrying Myrta, Holmes filed for divorce from Clara; but that divorce
would never be finalized. In January 1894 while in Denver, Colorado, Holmes was
still married to Clara and Myrta would marry again to Georgiana Yoke. It was
during his time in Chicago; Holmes started to grow even more shady and criminal.
Holmes took a job in a drugstore, which he later bought and promised to let the
current store owner live in after her husband died. When her husband died however,
she simply disappeared people began to question where she was. Holmes lied and
told people she went to California she liked it so much that she decided to stay there.
These people actually would turn out to be his first victims in his long murder spree,
and it is unknown how and when he murdered them. Not long after this Holmes
would purchase several acres across from the drugstore and would build what
would later be known as his Murder Castle (which is where it is believed that he
hid the bodies of Dr. E.S. Holton and his wife). Holmes now centered on 63d Street
and transferred his activities to the district of Chicago; it was here he would
achieve fame. Once in Chicago Holmes would drive out a proprietress. Holmes
worked in a drugstore. Across the street from the drugstore he would begin to build
an extremely large building 50 ft. wide and hundred and 150 ft. long this was a
gigantic and obnoxious building. The place was more than three stories high and had

24. The Red Wheelbarrow Explication
Poetry is an example of written literature. In ancient Greek, poetry means I create an
art form in which language is used for its aesthetic qualities (Poetry.org, 2005).
Poetry is a piece of literature that helps people to express their feelings and emotions.
People can express their sad, happy, and romantic feelings through poetry. There are
many poets in the United States such as Theodore Roethke, Robert frost, Emily
Dickinson, William Carlos Williams, and many others. In this paper, there will be an
introduction to William Carlos Williams and one of his poems, The Red Wheelbarrow
. There would be also an explication of the poem based on reader s interpretation.
William Carlos Williams was born in Rutherford, New Jersey in 1883. He began
writing poetry when he was in high school. He also decided to become a doctor
and a writer in the same time. He embodied his ambitions by attending medical
school and also publishing some of his literatures. William Carlos Williams had a
very unique characteristic in writing poetry. Instead of writing a long stanza,
William Carlos Williams made his poem as short as possible. Concise poems were
his original identity. He was the first poet who had subject matter that centered on
the everyday circumstances of life and the lives of common people (Poets, Poets.org,
1997). He influenced many other poets through his concise poetry. The subject
matter of his poetry also influenced people s idea in writing poetry. He conveyed a
new perception
25. Andrew Carnegie s Impact On The Industrial Revolution
In the movie, The Richest Man in the World, Andrew Carnegie played a major role in
influencing the Industrial Revolution, which changed the economy of the US and the
world forever. This era brought upon significant changes through economic
developments that would not only change the ways of the economy but also the
social aspect of society, especially within the cities where this growth was located.
The shift from hand made to machine made products increased productivity and
decreased costs. Through the innovations of the new forms of energy, such as iron,
and then steel, establishments of factories began, competition between businessmen
arose, and innovations of transportation in the city through railroads and bridges
developed. The... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It also made production easier, faster, and cheaper since workers made an abundant of
products within a short amount of time. Mass production in factories was possible
because of the invention of machineries, leading to products being made without
costing businesses as much money compared to if the products were hand made.
Because products were made in factories, this also caused retail prices of the
products to decrease while there was always accessibility for the supplies. The
establishment of large corporations replaced small businesses, which was good news
for the wealthy but bad news for individuals who owned their own small stores.
On the other hand, because of the establishment of factories by businessmen, the
workers lives became hard as they faced unfair working conditions in dirty and
small working places. They worked long hours with no break. The machines used in
factories were also very dangerous and led to workers enduring injuries. Unskilled
labor did not even require training. During the Industrial Revolution, child labor
became common since it was cheaper to have children working. Instead of earning
an education, children started working as early as 8 years old. Also, factories
produced pollution within the cities because of all the coal that was being used for
power, leading smoke to contaminate the air. People became sick and even
26. The Importance Of A Successful Firm Is Good
Communication
The cornerstone to a successful firm is good communication. Without it, there is
confusion, resentment, and a blurry vision for the direction the company wants to go.
In order to ensure there is successful communication amongst the managers and its
employees of the firm, a communication contract should be created. This contract
establishes ethical communicationand rules for which each individual is to follow
when communicating with others. Aside from creating excellent communication
within the firm, the communication contract creates long lasting benefits for the firm
and creates a solid foundation.
Other communication strategies may create short term profits but do not have the
long lasting benefits of an ethical communication contract. The communication
contract I would propose to the firm I work for would have six clauses. They would
be the immunity clause, the respect clause, the need for change clause, the switched
roles clause, the bottom up clause, and the key focus clause. The immunity clause
stipulates that anything said or brought about is done so without any consequence.
The motivation behind this clause is that too many good suggestions or ideas or
constructive criticisms are held back because employees fear that they will be
reprimanded or even lose their job because of the criticism. With the immunity clause
employees can share their true feelings and critiques and that will be honored rather
than rebuked. A companion to the immunity clause is the respect
27. Suspense In The Third Man
External action is when thing happen in the world and provide narrative
information. Internal action is what occurs to a character mentally. The narrative of
a film can either be linear or nonlinear. Linear is when the events of a film are
explained from the beginning to the end. Nonlinear films are when the events are
told out of order. An example of nonlinear is when a filmutilizes flashbacks. When
creating the screenwriter uses several other options to aid in the story. These include
the struggle for human dignity, a complexity in human relationships, a truth in human
nature. They could use social problems which reflect conversations that are currently
occurring in society. They could use moral problems to question what is right or
wrong.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In The Third Man the tool of suspense is used to propel the entire plot. The
suspense begins when Holly Martin discovers that his friend Harry Lime is dead
when he first arrives in Vienna. Holly is immediately suspicious of the claim that
Lime s death was an accident, and this suspicion leads the audience to wonder
what really happened. Was Lime murdered or was it just an accident? As the story
moves forward the film does a wonderful job of keeping the audience and Martin in
the dark as to what is actually happening. When the porter tells Martin that he has
more information the viewer believes that they will finally know what is going on.
However, the porter is killed and once again the audience is left in suspense.
Suspense is also present when Anna is revealed to have forged her papers.
Because the police do nothing right away the viewer does not know what her fate
will be. Is she going to get away with it or are the russians going to send her away?
Suspense in the movie is also created by the set and lighting. The film takes place
in vienna, and many scenes take place in shadowed windy streets. Because the
viewer can t see everything, they are left with a sense of mystery. This adds to the
feeling of suspense that is already created by the plot.Suspense is important in this
film because it helps to keep the audience engaged. The movie would be boring if
everything was revealed right away. If
28. A Brief Review Of Joe Ehrmann s Tuesdays With Morrie
Okay, so I m a bit late, but I don t know how many of you diehard sports fans read
this book. You see, it s more about life than it is about football, even though one of
the main characters is former Baltimore Colts defensive lineman Joe Ehrmann, now
a minister and defensive coordinator for a Baltimore private school, albeit one with
what now has become a perennial power in the East. And while the book might fail
in its quest to become the next Tuesdays With Morrie (its short length and book
jacket combine to try to give you that image), it is a book worth reading.
If you re a father, a son looking to connect with a father, a coach of boys, a teacher of
boys or a leader of boys, you should read this book. Basically, Ehrmann and the
private ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In fact, the book is also about Marx, his life s journey, his connection with Ehrmann
that dated back to when he was a high school kid going to tennis camp at a different
private school where the Colts held their training camp, and his relationship with
his father. While Marx does a good job of describing Poggi s and Ehrmann s
attempts to build better men, he falls a bit short in developing the parallel them of
connecting with his father. In this portion of the book, Marx holds back a bit and
doesn t give us much depth of context as to his historical relationship with his
father. All he reveals is that his father was hard working and first told him he loved
him when he was in his twenties. There s no description of a Great Santini here, no
comparison to Ehrmann s father, an absent, itinerant stevedore who worked the
Great Lakes and slapped him silly when he was a very young boy, so, in a sense,
you have the author giving you a view of his life without revealing much. I don t
think that this book would have become a Tuesdays With Morrie for men looking to
be better men anyway, but had it had a chance to do so, Marx failed it with the
incomplete effort regarding his relationship with his father.
That said, I acknowledge that I m being a bit of a tough critic here. Perhaps the
Tuesdays with Morrie motif created expectations for this book that were too high.
Perhaps I was looking for comparable excellence in the parallel themes that Marx
adroitly created. All that said, Marx s book is very much worth reading. Poggi and
Ehrmann and men worth listening to and following, and Marx himself gives some
helpful hints about trying to heal the void he obviously carried with him about the
metaphysical distance between him and his
29. The Necessity Of The Stepmother In A Fairy Tale
Stepmothers are usually looked at in a negative way. The Stepmother from the
story Cinderella, treats Cinderella poorly and acts as if she were her family s slave.
Throughout the fairy tale, the Stepmother shows that she is evil because she is
cruel, because she is selfish, and most importantly because she is biased. Although
the stepmother is evil, that is not what her life goal was, her true motivation for
being evil is that she wants to portray Cinderella s kindness. The Stepmother is
cruel is because she is very mean to her stepdaughter, Cinderella. The story states,
The wedding was hardly over before the woman began to make her stepdaughter s
life misery. This shows that she doesn t care about her stepdaughter, and just wants
to get work out of her. Another way she shows that she is cruel is by she treating
Cinderella like a slave so that her and her daughters will be the best in the land.
Cinderella is always so busy working that she can never leave the house. Finally, the
author states, ...for it was she who ironed their linens and pleated their ruffles. The
fact that she knows this proves that she has been forced to do this by her stepmother
for a long time.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The reader can see this when she makes Cinderella stay in the house the night of
the prince s ball and do every chore that needs to be done. Weather it is as small as
feeding the cat, as large as washing polishing all of the dishes, or as silly as
vacuuming the driveway. The author also proves that the Stepmother is selfish when
he says, ... How could I dream of such a thing? This proves that she knows that she
cannot go to the ball because her Stepmother is so strict towards her. Finally, in the
story it says that the Stepmother only wants her and her children to be treated like
royalty, not the King or Cinderella, who are the true
30. Transcontinental Railroad Dbq Essay
Fifteen thousand men. One thousand two hundred dead. Twenty thousand pounds of
bones. One thousand, seven hundred and fifty six miles of railways. The creation of
the transcontinental railroad began in 1863. It originated in the northern states and
made its way to the west. Nobody knew that one day this new technology would lead
to the future that we live today. During the time that the railroad was in the process of
being created, many things were escalating in the US, all for the best. The
Transcontinental Railroad transformed the United Statesmore economically by
creating new opportunities, improving transportation, and boosting imports and
exports.
The Transcontinental Railroad helped states increase in population by providing
many job opportunities. Lovelock, Nevada, is most known for its great mining,
thriving agriculture and retail center. During the 1860 s, the major population of
Lovelock consisted of the Chinese which were working on the Transcontinental
Railroad at the time (Doc. D). This meaning that the population of the city increased
rapidly in addition to many job opportunities for the dangerous job and the tasks that
came with them. Overall, the transcontinental railroad, provided jobs for the Chinese,

When the railway had not yet existed the majority of transportation took place by
wagon. It is said that traveling by wagon actually costs approximately twenty times
more than traveling by rail (Doc E). As stated in Document E, traveling by rail cost
less than a tenth... than it would by wagon. Therefore, a more efficient transportation
route was created; this meaning that the railway was less costly, much more agile,
and also safer than the traditional, inconvenient
31. Footprint Case
As I enter the crime sense I notices a right handed hand print on the wall. There was
a mop and bucket on over in the other side of the room and the floor was soaked so
we could see the footprints on the floor. As I looked more carefully I could see that
there were three different types of footprints. Footprint y goes from the mop and
bucket to behind the cash register. Footprint a leads the kitchen and footprint x
comes from the wall and it looks like he had stopped because there are prints that
are right beside each other and then he starts moving again. Another thing that
caught my eye was the placement silverware B and D has the silverware on the
right side and C has it on the left. Something else that I see is that the cash register
is left wide open. If you add the recites of B, C, and D they add up to the $8.75.
Based on the evidence I believe that the murderer is C . The reasoning for knowing
that the murderer is C is because he is left handed and there was a right hand print on
the wall. So that means... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The handprint on the wall is a right hand so that means that the shooter is left
handed. Costumer A his foot print lead to the kitchen has if he was sneaking out.
Footprint Y is Ernie s because his prints lead from the bucket and water and than
behind the cash register. Then we are left with footprint X they are the shooters
because the footprint comes from the wall where the handprint is and they move
over to the body. From the looks of it B, C, and D were together because they sat
by each other and if I add their checks up it equals the $8.75. The other think that
lead me to believe that customer C is the murderer is that he was the only one out of
the three that had his silverware and cup on the left side so he is left handed. So
using the rules can help us see that the murderer is customer

35. A Research On Planned Parenthood
Planned Parenthood was under attack summer of 2015. They were accused of
selling baby parts for profit. This practice caused Planned Parenthood to be
criticized and brought under more scrutiny then they face on a daily basis for being
an abortion center. It is common practice to see picketers who are pro lifers standing
outside Planned Parenthood businesses holding signs proclaiming the right to life.
But when two videos became public that demonstrated Planned Parenthood officials
talking about the sales of aborted fetus body parts, the heat on Planned Parenthood
went from warm to a blazing inferno and funding was immediately pulled from
Planned Parenthood. The videos were a major rallying point for many Americans
who are opposed to abortion. In fact the videos aided pro lifers as they went after the
government demanding that funding be stopped to Planned Parenthood clinics. This
accusation sparked a wave of investigations. After the videos initially became public
there were a number of states that made the decision to investigate further into the
tissue sale and see if in fact the claim the videos were making were true. State
investigators still have yet to find any substantial evidence that Planned Parenthood
was selling or profiting at all from fetal tissue sales. There have been 12 states that
have completed their investigation. Although investigators were unable to
substantiate the sales of body parts they did uncover some questionable practices in a

37. How Did The Holocaust Use Poison Gases
Poison gases were used primarily used to demoralize, injure, and kill entrenched
defenders. There were different types of poison gases like, Tear gas, Mustard gas,
etc. These were very harsh killings in my opinion, because it lasted a while with
pain then they were dead. These gases were traumatizing to the people they used
the gas to. Theses people were scared to go into the rooms and didn t know what
was going to happen to them just like The boy in the striped pajamas and like The
Holocaust . These people during the holocaust experimented on people for the
purpose of mass murder which is killing more than one person. They used this mass
murder killing for killing patients with mental and physical disabilities. The killing

38. The Intersection Of Race And Sex
Intersectionality is defined by social categories, such as race and gender that have
interconnected to apply to individuals and groups, causing an overlap, which has
consequently created a system of discrimination and disadvantages (English Oxford
Living Dictionary, 2016).
Kimberle Crenshaw coined the term in her article Demarginalizing the Intersection of
Race and Sex: A Black Feminist Critique of Antidiscrimination Doctrine, Feminist
Theory and Anti racist Politics (1889) whereby her main focus is on the
intersection of race and sex. Crenshaw refers to intersectionality as a crossroad to
describe how multiple oppressions are experienced. In her article she examines
intersectionality through how the court interpret black women s stories. She uses
the case DeGrafffenreid V General Motors, whereby five black women (the
Plaintiffs) accused the employers of discriminating against black women, as they
lost their jobs after 1970 due to a seniority based layoff during recession.
Nevertheless, the judge rejected the plaintiffs claim, as the court states that they
would of helped if it was an action for race or sex, but not a combination of both
(Crenshaw, 1989, p.141). The example Crenshaw gives, identifies how multiple
oppressions are experienced within intersectionality. In October 2016 Crenshaw gave
an empowering speech on how the media only covers black male discrimination by
the state, yet there are no stories about how black women are discriminated by the
state,

build of muscle and bone can cause; liver damage, breast development in men, and
attitude changes (Shermer). Both categories of PED s are only a few of the
different kinds of drugs, this means that this is only a fraction of the side effects that
are related to the use of PED s. On the online article, Adverse Health Consequences
of Performance Enhancing Drugs: An Endocrine Society Scientific Statement , the
authors indicate Users of high doses of AAS may be more susceptible to rage,
antisocial and violent behaviors, and suicidality. Sharing of needles and other

makes the essay more influential. Meanwhile, the story builds up to the sentence, and
then that sentence leaves the readers wondering, and thinking about our right to die.
For the most part, Huttman s essay was exceedingly entertaining and I enjoyed her
work. Huttman used suspense and emotion throughout the entire piece. Huttman
explains, Each time he stopped breathing, sometimes two or three times in one day,
the code, the code team came again (343). Significantly, this sentence plays the
reader s emotion by showing how often Mac would pass away. Another example that
shows that this is entertaining is, I thought about what it would be like to stand
before a judge, accused of murder, if Mac stopped breathing and I didn t call a code
(Huttman 344). No doubt, this draws interest to the storyline and
42. What Is An Example Of Consumerism In Fight Club
In Fight Club, there are multitudes of examples of the culture industry and its effects
on the masses. As an audience, it can be seen from two different perspectives; the
first is in terms of the Narrator and the second is through Tyler Durden, a second
personality of the narrator who suffers from mental illness. The narrator lives an
empty life and tries to find meaning or purpose through the IKEA cataloguewhile
decorating his home. In turn, Tyler is the exact opposite he doesn t answer to
anybody, he does what he wants, when he wants and doesn t let anything or anyone
stop him. Evidently this is the version of himself that the narrator wants to be, as he
lives vicariously through Tyler, which he is unaware is his own imagination for the...

As an audience, throughout the film it is evident that there is a significant contrast
between the narrator and Tyler as they view many things differently. Just like the
Fight Club and the IKEA furniture, the narrator becomes obsessed with Tyler and
the life he leads. When Tyler is first introduced as a passenger on the airplane, the
narrator is immediately drawn to him in a way that is different than any other
person he has met. He feels a connection with him that he has not felt before, which
is why he calls him when his apartment burns and he loses all of his important
IKEA furniture. Tyler tells him it s just stuff (Fight Club) and the things you own
end up owning you (Fight Club), which completely contradicts everything the
narrator had previously believed about his home and the furniture. Through Tyler,
the narrator starts to lose his need for material objects when Tyler tells him Fuck
off with your sofa units and strine green stripe patterns, I say never be complete, I
say stop being perfect, I say let... let s evolve, let the chips fall where they may (Fight
Club), instead he focuses on the fighting and his friendship with Tyler since he has
finally found something that fills the void in his life and gives it meaning. Though it
may seem abstract that Tyler would fit into this argument, it all comes together at the
end of the film when the audience finds
43. Evil In Things Fall Apart
The story Things Fall Apart is surrounded around a character by the name of
Okonkwo. Okonkwo s father was a broke, poor, and weak man whom left Okonkwo
nothing. As a result, Okonkwo is an impulsive man that acts without thinking and
typically treats others with a bad personality. As the story advances you notice that
Okonkwoportrays many brutal actions that assist the plot in creating a theme and
organization.
Okonkwo s violent tendencies aid the story in advancing the plot in a few ways.
One way his violence advances the plot is by creating a distinguished personality
for the main character, Okonkwo. The main character of a story defines the plot, so
it helps your understanding when you can better identify the main character. For
example, the story states, He pressed the trigger and there was a loud report
accompanied by the wail of his wives and children. He threw down the gun and
jumped into the barn and there lay the woman, very much shaken and frightened but
quite unhurt. He heaved a heavy sigh and went away with the gun. Okonkwo nearly
shoots his wife, but then displays worry for her which is contrary to his otherwise
vicious personality (pg 28). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, Okonkwo beats his wife during peace week. The text implies, And
when she returned he beat her very heavily. In his anger he had forgotten that it
was the Week of Peace. (pg 21) The Week of Peace is a time where everybody
resides with each other in peace. Okonkwo did not regard this and beat his wife. As
a result, he had to bring one she goat, one hen, a length of cloth and a hundred
cowries to the Shrine of Ani. The Week of Peace also signifies their culture which
Okonkwo did not consider to be important. This also shows that they have a structure
of law which brings another aspect to the plot of the
44. The Wiz Play Analysis
In December, I watched the televised play of The Wiz, that aired on NBC. While I
have mixed emotions about this play, itself, I have a better appreciation and
understanding about how a play should be presented now that I have researched the
history of american musical theatre, and that is unity of the story being told, thru
song, dance, and performance.
American Musical Theatre is a form of art that tells a story through songs, dialogue,
acting and dance. The different types of musicals includes ballad opera, operetta,
musical comedy, straight musical, rock musical, vaudeville, and burlesque.
Opera is a type of drama that was entirely sung. Madame Butterfly is an example of
an opera. An Operetta, like an opera also incorporates frivolous ... Show more content

The Brook is considered the first work that accomplished bringing all of these
elements together, separating the musical from the musical comedy. The two major
branches of the american musical theatre are the musical play and musical comedy.
Rodgers and Hammerstein, creators of Oklahoma, became the most important
contributors to the musical play form. They produced more plays that had social
thought that led the way for others to follow. Rodgers and Hammerstein recognized
the struggle in America and elsewhere for minorities civil rights had grown, they and
many other creators used the musicals to try and normalize social toleration and
urged racial harmony with works like Finian s Rainbow and South Pacific. As a
theme, tolerance, has continued to be an important aspect for
45. School Board Roles
Public schooling in the United States seems somewhat unique in the fact it is
essentially a set of state based systems unlike many other nations education systems
that are managed and operated by their national government. Although the Tenth
Amendment [of the U.S. Constitution] seems merely to state the truism that all that
is not delegated to Congress is reserved to the states, the Court found in this
amendment a core principle of state sovereignty. This principle required that the
federal government not intrude in areas traditionally controlled by the state. (Epstein,
2004, pg. 46). There is a federal government role in educationand there are many
national influences such as education organization representing diverse groups from

School boards have been an integral feature of the U.S. public education system for
more than a century, and they are widely regarded as the principal democratic body
capable of representing citizens in local education decisions. School board members,
both individually and collectively, must serve as advocates for children. They must
make the community aware of its responsibility to our next generation and support
programs that help meet the needs of all children. Peter Downs in Schoolhouse
Shams brings out important concepts of advocacy when describing the desegregation
of our U.S. schools, its history, and the effects it had on students, families, and
communities. In the mission to educate ALL children, school boards as well as other
educators must advocate instead of a mission to sort students those not fit to enter
school, those not fit for high school, those not fit to graduate public schools today
have a mission to educate everyone to diploma or college ready levels (Downs,
2013, pg. 7). Additionally, school improvement and academic achievement have
taken center stage as indicators of successful school systems. Standardized tests are
at the center of state and federal school reform efforts and school boards answer to
them. (Downs, 2013, pg. 15). School boards are accountable to more than one master
in terms of governance. The formal line of authority emanates from the state
46. Pros And Cons Of The Cuisinart 77-10
The Cuisinart 77 10 is great cookware set for an everyday cook who loves to dabble
in classic and modern cuisines. The wide grip handles are riveted on, and the
covers fit snugly on top of cookware to lock in flavors. And a tapered rim around the
pots and pans makes it drip free when pouring. Aluminum in the base helps in even
heatdistribution and heat conductivity. This set is perfect to try out the classic cooking
techniques of a slow simmer or a rolling boil.

The Cuisinart 77 10 is a great quality set for the price you pay. And if you remember
to cook with the pots and pans at a lower temperature, because they will heat up
faster, you will avoid a lot of the complaints of discoloration and some sticking. As
one reviewer said:
Now that I have had this set for a few months, I can say it has met all my
expectations. Other reviewers have commented on the difficulty of cleaning it. I
had some trouble in the beginning. It was mostly due to the fact that this set heats
up much faster than I was used to and I had to adjust temperature settings and
timings accordingly. Having knowledge of the smoking points of oils is helpful.
Coconut oil or margarine seem to work best and don t leave burn marks. Cheese will
burn to the pan but a good soaking and a nylon scraper or scour pad will clean it off

47. Dead Men Path
When telling or writing a story, having strong characters is an ideal to help the
reader understand where the author is coming from and what he or she is trying to
say in the story. The short story I chose to explain how the author uses the characters
to communicate the theme is Dead Men Path, by Chinua Achebe. I believe the
characters of his story gave a strong sense of the theme of continuity and change.
When reading the first paragraph of the story, Achebe has given us the first two
character of the story. Michael when appointed headmaster he was excited and
happy, he had many ideas of how to either improve or try new ideas he had in mind.
He had many wonderful ideas... an opportunity to put them into practice. (10 Achebe).

He tells them to block the path once again to not let the villagers use the path
again. The village priest comes to visit Mr.Obi and asks him why. The whole life
of this village depends on it... most important, it is the path of children coming in
to be born... (12 Achebe). By the village priest saying this, it shows that he values
the tradition and the spiritual belief of his culture and how the people of the
village also has meaning to have his path leading to life and death of their culture.
Dead men do not require footpaths... idea is just fantastic... is to tech your children
to laugh at such ideas. (12 Achebe). Mr.Obi knows that times are changing and also
the old beliefs are dying or should be forgotten to be replaced with modern ideals
and the old world to be over taken by the new world (Modern today). When saying
that to the priest, he got a warning like statement. This says that the priest and the
village is serious about this path to being unblocked and that he doesn t want
anything bad to happen if this keeps
48. College Athletes Should Not Be Banned
Every year NCAA brings in approximately $6 billion from highly anticipated sports
events, such as this month s NCAA tournament March Madness , for example.1
While brackets will be broken, nets will be slashed, and the championship team
will be crowned, ultimately the real winner from college events like these is the
NCAA itself. While the relentless student athletes train rigorously day and night to
represent their schools, the athletes who participate do not see a single penny, even
though they are the ones who ...risk career ending injuries every time they onto the
court, field, or rink. The NCAA forces all amateur college athletes to sign a
contract, forbidding monetary compensation for their efforts and restricting them
from any sponsorship deals with payouts. This has posed a dilemma since the
early 1900s, because some of the best collegiate athletes have been dirt poor, while
the NCAA program has continued to make millions off of the names of athletes
who cannot afford to feed their own families. As a solution, all NCAA athletes
deserve to be paid. In the event that there were only one reason that college athletes
ought to be paid, it is that both the NCAA and the college itself utilizes players name
and status for its own financial benefit. Whether it is selling players jerseys or
signing autographs, the NCAA is successfully profiting off of the player whose
number is on the shirt, without giving any cut to the player himself. An eleven billion
dollar industry
