Favorite Hobby Essay
Writing an essay about your favorite hobby may seem like a straightforward task, but in reality, it
can be more challenging than anticipated. The difficulty lies not in the lack of content or
personal experience but in striking the right balance between enthusiasm and structure. One
might find themselves overwhelmed with the sheer abundance of details to include, leading to
the challenge of distilling the essence of their hobby into a coherent and engaging piece.
The challenge intensifies when attempting to make the essay stand out from the countless others
that have explored similar topics. How does one avoid clichГ©s and express their passion in a
unique and compelling way? Crafting an essay on a favorite hobby requires navigating the fine
line between personal reflection and relatability. It's not merely about recounting experiences but
about creating a narrative that resonates with the reader on a deeper level.
Moreover, the difficulty extends to maintaining a sense of flow and coherence throughout the
essay. Finding the right words to convey emotions, explain the significance of the hobby, and
connect various aspects seamlessly can be a formidable task. Striking a balance between the
technical details of the hobby and its emotional impact on the individual is an intricate dance
that demands careful consideration.
In the end, writing an essay on your favorite hobby is not just about showcasing your passion;
it's about translating that passion into a piece of writing that captivates and engages the reader.
It's an art of self-expression combined with the challenge of effective communication.
If grappling with this challenge seems too daunting, there are resources available to help. Similar
essays and a myriad of writing assistance can be found on HelpWriting.net, where experienced
writers can provide guidance, inspiration, and support to transform the writing process from a
daunting task into a rewarding endeavor.

The Natural Gas Of Gas Essay
Natural gas liquefaction goes back to the 19th century when Michael Faraday, a
British chemist and physicist, experimented with liquefying different types of gases
including natural gas. Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is an odorless, colorless, non
toxic, non corrosive and non flammable form of methane. The first liquefied natural
gasplant was built in West Virginia in 1912 (Dominion). The LNG was first
produced in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1939. In the 1950s and 1960s, the ocean going
trade in international LNG began. In 1969, the first LNG terminal and commercial
liquefaction facility in the world in the United States began operations in Kenai,
Alaska. The Kenai Peninsula LNG plant, operated by ConocoPhillips, is one of the
oldest and constantly operated LNG plants in the world. In order for natural gas to be
exported overseas, it must first be turned into liquefied natural gas, attested and a safe
process that requires the construction and operation of new facilities.
The US government has a deep history of regulating different aspects of natural gas,
including LNG, in interstate commerce. In 1938, Congress passed the Natural Gas
Act, which granted the Federal Power Commission (FPC) exclusive jurisdiction over
the import and export of natural gas. The federal government had been reorganized
since 1938. To this day, the function of protecting the public interest for natural gas
imports and exports has been allocated between two federal entities which are the
FERC and DOE.

The Importance Of Ownership And Intangible Objects
Ownership is the act and state of having something in control or possession. Aristotle
claims that owning tangible objects help to build moral character, while Jean Paul
Sartre proposes that ownership extends beyond to include intangible things such as
skill or knowledge. Different objects can have varying effects on the development of
selfidentity, leading us to who we grow as a person. A sense of self can be a reflection
to what we own, whether it is a tangible or not. Ownershipof intangible and tangible
objects play a vital role for the growth of self identity, as it teaches crucial morals in
life to develop personal character.
Through the ownership of tangible objects, we as humans, have the ability to attain a
perception of responsibility and the development of moral character. Ownership
provides a guide towards important life lessons such as maturity and responsibility,
which eventually contributes to shaping identity. Responsibility is not a simple skill

Owning a loved pet, or owning valuable memories that can never be forgotten, it
proves that owning these artifacts and characteristics, brings out the unique
personality traits of someone. Someone reminiscing their childhood memories can
show the importance or value of having a childhood. Ownership can truly reveal
crucial life lessons you may never learn with the absence of ownership. The skills
you obtain become your identity, which shows how ownership and moral character
associate with one another. Owning something does not specifically have to be a
physical object, as long as you can control what it is. Once I obtain skills and
knowledge, no one can diminish them from my ownership. Though the moment may
fade, the memory is everlasting. Ownership is a critical building block to who are
you and who you can eventually become in the
Nuclear Testing Is Destroying The Environment
Human beings are dangerously harming the environment. The destruction of rain
forests, overfishing, nuclear testing, soil erosion, fossil fuels, desertification, and
landfills all have one thing in common, caused by humans. Numerous individuals are
unaware these alone are destroying the environment. Individuals have learned in
regards to our planet throughout the years, we know trees are a big necessity since
they provide us with oxygen; the ocean s ecosystem creates a food chain with supply
and demand for both humans and aquatic life, and chemicals produced by human
experimentation leads to pollution, which harms plants, animals, aquatic life and
human lives. When it comes to the health of our planet, I firmly believe humans are

Landfills not only contaminate Earth s soil and groundwater, but also produce a
greenhouse gas known as, methane. In order to reduce the amount of methane
being produced at landfills, humans should compost yard waste and recycle as
much as possible (GAIA). Methane stands 25 to 72 times stronger than carbon
dioxide and can be the foundation to health effects such as cancer and asthma.
Landfills not only pollute the air we breathe, but are a significant source of global
climate change. According to the Global Anti Incinerator Alliance, for every ton of
waste, more than 70 tons of manufacturing, oil explorations, and coal combustion
form (GAIA). In 2012, Derek Thompson, stated the world would produce 2.6
trillion pounds of garbage just for that particular year. Thompson appraised that
amount to the equivalent weight of 7,000 Empire State Buildings (Derek Thompson
2012). Out of the 2.6 trillion pounds of garbage, 46 percent is organic, 4 percent
metal, 5 percent glass, 10 percent plastic, 17 percent paper, and 18 percent is other
(Derek Thompson 2012). Nevertheless, all of these end up in the many landfills
throughout the world, where they sit and decompose into Earth s soil and produce
the greenhouse gas, methane, and pollute our water and cause health
Conflict In Romeo And Juliet
Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy play written by William Shakespeare in the year
1591. The plot is mainly based on an Italian tale which narrates about a pair of
young star cross d lovers whose feuding families are the main obstacle to their
marriage, to which their death leads to the end of their parents strife to one another.
Although it is very ancient and historical, the masterpiece has withstood the
considerable test of time and still remains popular today. Romeo and Juliet has been
studied and taught worldwide in schools, universities, and other famous educational
institutions. The play has also been reproduced thousands of times on television, film,
and live theatre. It has endured large groups of audiences and the reason being is most

R J fits this criteria because there are multiple conflicts to each other which have
connections with one another and makes the story interesting and more exciting. For
example, the love game where Romeo loves Rosaline, but Rosaline loves Paris, but
Paris loves Juliet, and finally the cat and mouse game ends with Juliet loving Romeo
and Romeo turns from Rosaline to love Juliet. Another example of an interesting
conflict is the unknown love at the party when Romeo meets Juliet. At the party,
Juliet sees Romeo and Romeo sees Juliet, and loving each other at first sight . Only
until Juliet finds out that Romeo is a Montague and things get complicated from this
point. Another excellent example of a double conflict that makes it more exciting is a
fight where Tybalt kills Mercutioand Romeo kills Tybalt in retaliation and he runs
away from the city before the Prince comes and tells that he is banished from the city.
Dracula satisfied my criteria because the piece has a very exciting and unusual
conflict, which makes the story more interesting in a way and by incorporating an
exciting mysterious setting to the conflict of the story that makes the readers feel
that even though location in the story has changed, but it still feels like all of the
good characters are all on the run from Dracula and Dracula will turn the protagonist
s friends and families, one by one, into vampires like him and makes the conflict
more intense and interesting to read. A great example of this is that Jonathan
Harker, the main protagonist of the story realizes that Dracula is not human but
suffers from a vampire induced fever so he can t go back to England to warn
everybody In time. It is a double conflict Harker can t go anywhere as he is too sick
from the fever, and he knows that there is a danger approaching England but he can t
do anything about it. Even though Dracula s genre and R J s genre are different, they
Nathaniel Hawthorne Influences
Nathaniel Hawthorne, the famous author, was born in Salem on July 4th, 1804. He
was the great great grandson of the Salem Witch Trials judge John Hathorne.
Hawthorne was clearly appalled by the relation to his ancestor which lead to him
adding the W to his last name to be no longer associated with his great great
grandfather.
Hawthorne grew up in Salem but spent most of his time in Raymond, Maine because
his mother owned a house there. Nathaniel Hawthorne died of natural causes during a
trip to the White Mountains with Franklin Pierce on May 19, 1864. Hawthorne
died at the ripe age of fifty nine years old from 1804 1864. One of Hawthorne most
impactful experiences growing up was when his mother passed away. He never had a

This change was something he agreed with because Hawthorne wasn t very
upcoming in religious stances. That was made very clear when he parted from his
long long line of puritan family members. Hawthorne decided to become a novelist
which he very much so lived up to because now he is famous for many incredible
novels. Sadly some of his family did not support his decision although most did. He
always felt like he let them down Hawthorne stated that himself in the first few pages
of his book the Scarlet Letter
the old trunk of the family tree, with so much venerable moss upon it, should have
borne, as its topmost bough, an idler like myself. No aim that I have ever
cherished, would they recognize as laudable; no success of mine if my life, beyond
its domestic scope, had ever been brightened by success would they deem otherwise
than worthless, if not positively disgraceful. Even though many were against his
decision to become a writer was life changing for him. The fact that many were
against him pushed Hawthorne to beat the odds and prove how great he was at
writing novels so great that millions of people took the time to read his amazing

Importance of Mountains in Kerouac s Dharma Bums and Barthelme s The Glass
Mountain
Mountains are significant in the writing of Jack Kerouac and Donald Barthelme as
symbolic representations of achievement and the isolation of an individual from the
masses of the working class in industrialized capitalist American society. The
mountains, depicted by Kerouac and Barthelme, rise above the American landscape
as majestic entities whose peaks are touched by few enduring and brave souls. The
mountains of Kerouac s The Dharma Bums symbolize personal freedom and
accomplishment through achieving a connection with nature distant from the
constraints of materialism and a polluted industrialized American society. Barthelme s

The mountains, being so colossal, have many levels and plateaus in which some
people may find comfort and a sense of accomplishment where they may choose to
live out the remainder of their lives, although they are far from the peak. Morley s
decision to stay behind while Japhy and Ray continue their climb to the peak of
Matterhorn is comparable to Barthelme s depiction of the crowd on the streets
watching cynically as their hero climbs to the golden castle of the glass mountain.
This crowd symbolizes the growing middle class, comfortable in their conformity as
working stiffs and homemakers who do not want to risk their current contentment
for a chance to reach the heights of American capitalism. Morley is content to
remain a dreaming spot by the little lake in the eyes of Ray Smith who is miles
ahead on the mountain questioning his own decision to tackle the frightening height
of the Matterhorn. (p.82). Morley represents, through his actions, Americans living
comfortably, yet always dreaming the American dream to be more successful,
powerful, or rich as he says I don t think I can make it. Ill wait here (P. 81). The
plateaus in the Glass Mountain are equally represented by small cubicles inside
Primate Observation
Within this essay, we will study more in depth the behavioral as well as physical
traits of two primates at a zoo from their interaction with their peers to their place in
the group. This observation would enable us to further understand the possible
existing correlation between humans and primates. First, I studied a female
chimpanzeewith her baby, and then, a dominant male gorilla, in San Francisco Zoo at
about noon, on May 23, 2015, for an hour each. Even though they share some
similarities such as having a large brain, living for a long time, and being bored in
their enclosure, they are still different; when gorillas are the largest, chimpanzees are
the smartest. In fact, chimps use tools to catch food, they would not be able to reach...

Thus, I was able to observe some similarities among these species. The way the
female chimp used tools, and her fingers to grab food, how she used to be on her
feet, freeing her hands, groom her child, educate her offspring, sleep with him while
snuggling, use a lot of face emotions to convey a message to an individual; she
smiled at her baby, laughed when playing, and tickling him, remind me of human. She
also has a flat pink face, hands palm, and feet sole as humans do. Furthermore, the
gorilla was also really human when he protected his eyes from the intense sunrays,
following the movement of the sun, and sat in the shade, mated with a female,
scratched his head, and bottom, and put his finger in his nose. I think that these
humans pattern appeared for similar reasons as in the Primates. For instance, when
the gorilla scratches his bottom, it is because the area is itchy, and he wants to
remove what is indisposing him. In addition, the mother chimp educates her kid to
transmit knowledge throughout generation, which is the same for humans, who go to
school. According to my observation, even though Chimpanzee, and Gorilla are
similar, they differ in many other ways when we go deeper in physical, and
behavioral traits. However, both species also share the majority part of their DNA
with Humans. Based on some reliable researches, some scientists realized that
humans did not come from apes but instead shared common ancestors. As a matter of
fact, humans and Primates are different, but share most of their genome, explaining
why we found some similar patterns of behavior among humans, and
83 Hail Selassie Research Paper
Haile Selassie spent his exile years (1936 1941) in Bath, England, in Fairfield House,
which he bought.83 Haile Selassie s activity in this time was concentrated on
countering Italian propaganda as to the state of Ethiopian resistance and the legality
of the occupation.[91] He spoke out against the desecration of houses of worship and
historical artifacts, and condemned the atrocities suffered by the Ethiopian civilian
population.[92] He continued to plead for League intervention and to voice his
certainty that God s judgment will eventually visit the weak and the mighty alike

unsuccessful until Italy entered World War II on the German side in June 1940.[94]

How Harry Is A Moral Figure During A Time Of War
Choices that Harry makes often lean him into dangerous situations and endanger
other people, yet his intentions are always in an attempt to help and it is their
actions after a situation goes bad that truly shows how Harry is a moral figure
during a time of war. During Deathly Hallows, Harry, Ron, and Hermione use the
Polyjuice Potion to sneak into the Ministry of Magic to retrieve a Horcrux, and in
doing so, jeopardize the lives of the three employees, and the Cattermole family.
Harry and his friends good intentions were there they never expected that they
would cause a ruckus and endanger someone s life. However, once they realized
this, they did as much as they could to warn the family and the other families
waiting to be tried about what was coming, and warned them to run. Their
intentions were pure, and they made a choice that they believed to be safe for the
impersonated party and when they realized the danger, they accepted the
consequences and sought to rectify the situation for all parties impacted: It s been
decided that you should all go home and go into hiding with your families, Harry
told the Muggle borns, who were dazzled by the light of the Patronuses and still

A Holiday Heaven Right Here In Australia: Making Moreton Island Your Next
Vacation Stop
There aren t a lot of down to Earth, but still extraordinary places to visit on holiday
anymore. You ve either got opulent and expensive extravagance or you can rough it

enjoying yourself, while surrounded by exotic sights and extraordinary experiences.
You simply have to make Moreton Island your next holiday stop, here s why.

You can cool off in the surf every now and then and stretch your legs on the sandy
coast without seeing a vehicle or nearly any other sign of the real world.

Along the eastern path of Moreton, there s nearly 40 km of exploring waiting for
you, from the North Point all the way to Reeders Point. The North Point features a
rocky terrain, while Reeders is covered in soft sand. The cape is peppered with rocky
areas to explore, or if you prefer the inland, there are plenty of natural lakes and
wildlife.
Frolic With Dolphins
If you ve ever dreamed of lapping up the waves while being serenaded by a dolphin
or two, this is the place to do it. There are feeding tours, where you can get up close
and personal with these friendly swimmers and many photo ops, where you can take
selfies with one of the most intelligent ocean faring creatures. The dolphins make
Moreton Island truly unforgettable.
Try Seeing The Sights Via Snorkeling
Scattered around the island are many exciting shipwrecks you can snorkel up to and
around, but you could also just investigate the sea creatures and scenery underwater,
too. If this is something you ve never done before, fear not, as there are
professionals who can show you how it s done.
Sand Sledding?
The island also has many dunes, some of which are quite steep; visitors brave
enough will partake of these sandy slopes on a toboggan, as offered up by the
locals. The ride is fast and furious, though, so don t try it too soon after

Essay Comparing The Yellow Wallpaper And A Doll s House
Throughout the nineteenth century, gender assumptions were made stating that
women were the substantially and intellectually the weaker sex. Due to this
mindset, it was believed that women must always serve under male control. This
belief caused most women in the nineteenth century to bask in an aura of
oppression and repression. Feministic views commence from the awareness of the
inequality of treatment that women faced. Many stories such as, The Yellow
Wallpaper written by Charlotte Perkins Gilman , and the The Story of an Hour
written by Kate Chopin , demonstrated the oppression that women endured and
expressed women s regression. However, only The Yellow Wallpaper and the The
Story of an Hour are attributable to the play A Doll s House through it s use of
symbolic symbols. In A Doll s House, Henrik Ibsen symbolic use of the letter box,
tarantela, macaroons, and the Nora s slamming of the door, exhibits a change in the...

The Role of African Americans in the Revolutionary War
Essay
The Role of African Americans in the Revolutionary War
An estimated 100,000 African Americans escaped, died or were killed during the
American Revolution(Mount). Roughly 95% of African Americans in the United
States were slaves, and because of their status, the use of them during the revolution
was inevitable(Mount). This led many Americans, especially those from the North, to
believe that the South s economy would collapse without slavery due to the use of
slaves on the front lines. However, only a small percentage of the slave population
enlisted in either army.
The concept of using slaves as soldiers was hardly revolutionary. Blacks had served
our country with honor and bravery since the country s earliest days. Not only did the

The British saw Washington s original actions and promised emancipation for all
slaves who fought for England. Washington s position towards blacks had made it
clear that the individuals running the revolution were not interested in black
freedom, so the British offer literally produced a flood of African American
volunteers to the British Army. The escaped slaves were not merely good soldiers;
they were passionate and saw the British cause as a way to rebel against their
American masters. Despite being on the losing end of the war, slaves who fought for
the British in the American Revolution mark the beginning of an emancipation
movement.
The center of the Southern economy was the slaves and their contribution to the
plantation owners. Southern agriculture was founded on the cultivation of tobacco,
wheat, and corn in Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina, and of rice and indigo
in South Carolina and Georgia. These crops were cultivated with the help of black
slaves, those that were not fighting in the war effort. Slaves were the only reason
there was enough money to pay for the war and political events. As a matter of fact,
most of America s political leaders were slaveholders themselves, including Thomas
Jefferson, James Madison, and Alexander Hamilton(Davis 116).

The Significance Of African-Americans In Film
When a person reaches that point where life has drugged them through the mud
merely for the color of their skin, will shelter these feelings and allow them to
manifest at a point, as with the case with Victor. Why was it so important for the
POC in the film to be understood by white men in the group? Briefly discuss any
experiences you have had which would confirm or contend with this felt need.
People of color, specifically African Americans, need to be understood. This is the
only group in the room that does not have an identity. When looking at the group,
each man could relate to their original culture, for example, Lee Mun Wah and David
Lee are Chinese descent, Yutaka (Japanese), Hugh (Mexican/Irish) and Roberto
(Mexican/Latino/Chicano), Gordon (European/German), and David C. (England
/Denmark). The only two that had no area to call their own, but America, was Victor
and Loren both African American, and neither are from Africa. The term African
American was introduced to keep from being called Negro, Colored, or simply Black.

Having discretionary time, more contacts, support and motivation is a big plus
when starting a business. The right partnership has these qualities. When one
needs time to spend with family and friends or even just to get the most important
things dealing with the business done, having a partner is a good ideal because
days or weeks can be rotated among the two. By bringing on a partner, you acquire
a new network of contacts and potential customers. If one partner was to died or
become physical impaired while in the partnership agreement the other partner can
take over the business completely or choose to sell the other partner s half of the
business (Price, 2012). With sole proprietorship if the owner becomes impaired or
dies the business can result in termination because there is no one to take over the
business (LaMance, 2013) If you are a team player, I say go for the partnership, but
talk things over with your potential partner before making any decisions. Now if you
choose to go in it alone with the sole proprietorship keep in mind that some investors
think businesses started under the sole proprietorship are less professional than any

forgotten, dreary Midwestern United States. While the industrial revolution boosted
the economy on the coasts, Midwestern farmers were victims of deflationary debt
increases, exorbitant shipping and railroad rates, a high protective tariff, and a
government that for the most part ignored them.1 Desperate circumstances moved
the everyday American farmers to join together and voice their grievances. Instead
of seeking federal aid or economic relief, they attempted to use the power of the
ballot to achieve their goals.1 The united group of farmers used the Populist Partyas a
springboard to launch their complaints and eventually got their candidate, William
Jennings Bryan, nominated for the presidential election of 1896 by the Democratic
Party. L. Frank Baum, a newspaper writer who lived in a small prairie town in
South Dakota, experienced the populist wave firsthand, attending Bryan s famous
Cross of Gold speech in Chicago, and subtly incorporated many aspects of Bryan s
campaign into his children s novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.2 Despite his own
claim that this novel was written solely for the entertainment of the children of today
, several historians have discovered that the book clearly reflects the culture of the
time period in which it was written.3 By symbolically representing the struggles of
the everyday working man, Bryan s political enemies, and the campaign for free

Chemical Reactions And Functions Of The Chemistry
Nuclear chemistry is the study of the reactions and functions of the chemistry uses of
the nucleus. The nucleus contains two types of components called the nucleons,
which consist of the proton and neutron. The mass number of an atom is defined by
the sum of the protons and neutrons; the atomic number of an atom is defined by the
number of protons only. Atoms which have different mass numbers but have the
same atomic number are referred as isotopes, for example carbon 12, 13, and
14.Nucleus with special numbers of the neutronand protons are referred as nuclides.
Radio nuclides are usually unstable and it continuously emits particles as well as
emits the electromagnetic radiation. Emission is the process of the unstable nucleus
to undergo and become stable, this way it reduces the cost of the energy. For example
the Uranium 238,which decays into an alpha particle(Helium nucleus) and a nucleon
(Thorium 234). When the Uranium 238 decays it decomposed at the same time,
this process can be also called as alpha decayed. The equation for that is:238U92
234Th90 + 4He2 + Gamma rays.
There are three types of radioactive decay; alpha, beta and gamma radiation. The
alpha radiation includes a stream of the Helium 4nuclei; beta radiation has higher
speed electrons when emitting from unstable nucleus and normally has a negative
charge(positron is the opposite side of the beta decay); gamma radiation has not
much altering ability on the mass on either atomic or mass number thus it
Feudalism In Romantic Poetry
A dictum from Heraclitus may illustrate the origin of romantic poetry, when we are
awake we have a world in common, but when we are asleep each has his own world
(Quoted by O Connell 35). As conceived from the innermost being, romantic poems
have a close relationship with dream. However, as the definitions and characteristics
are controversial, some critics oppose to use the term Romanticism . For instance,
Arthur Lovejoy criticizes that Romanticism is an obscure norm when defined by
associating the nature and emotion as even Plato can be regarded as a pioneer in
romantic poetryaccording to this definition (Lovejoy 230). However, romantic poetry
cannot be defined with a linguistic entitle without considering the historical process
(Wellek 2) for it appeared in a specific period after the revolution in France and the
Enlightenment, when the awareness of rationalism started to spreed. Romantic
poetry is a genre which is used by poets to transcend... Show more content on

As the revolution in France altered the thoughts of poets, they initiated to use poems
to resist the unequal society. For example, leaves with cold tone are depicted in the
poem Ode to the West Wind as a representation for feudalism, which has been dying
(Shelley Stanza.2), decaying (Stanza.2), and quivering (Stanza.3), while the fierce
wind accompanying with rain awakens the Mediterranean and will drive the leaves
away, implying the awareness of liberty has formed and revolutions are generating.
In the end of this poem, Shelly proposes a prophesy that the tyranny of feudalism
society will be replaced, arousing enthusiasm within the people. In this poem,
substances in the nature are applied to be symbols in order to attack the feudalism
and praise the willing for liberty. Thus, symbolism is applied in romantic poems to
analyze the humanity and scorn the
Digital Technology and Filmmaking Essay examples
Digital Technology and Filmmaking
Since the first movies were first made, they have been shot using film of various
sizes, such as 8mm, 16mm, and 35mm. Within the past few years, technology has
brought digital cameras to the film industry, and now they are being used in
independent and Hollywood films. The recent low budget film The Blair Witch
Project was primarily filmed using a Sony VX1000 digital camera, and the movie
The Celebration was totally filmed using this camera and the Canon XL 1, ( Should I

In Newsweek magazine, Jan 10, 2000 issue, a brief article called Going Digital

of certain films shot digitally, such as The Celebration, the Sundance Film Festival
anticipated a large number of digital entries this past season, which took place from
January 20 till the 30 (12). They provided top of the line digital projectors at several
of their locations. They aren t the only group of people who are enthusiastic about
digital s possibilities though.
In Electronic Engineering Times, December 13 issue, an article called To Infinity

Arguments Against Full Inclusion
One of the biggest controversies in the United States education system is whether
or not full inclusion should be practiced in all schools. There are various reasons
why people are for or against full inclusion. The Learning Disabilities Association of
America (2012) defines full inclusion as, a popular policy/practice in which all
students with disabilities, regardless of the nature or the severity of the disabilityand
need for related services, receive their total educationwithin the regular education
classroom in their home school (p. 1). Full inclusionis a policy in which the ultimate
goal is to eliminate the need of pull out programs. Students with disabilities are
expected to learn and make friends in general education classrooms.... Show more

When children are separated in schools, they begin to believe that one group is better
than the other. More often than not, elementary aged students refer to the special
education students as the mental ones. Although children do not intentionally
negatively judge their peers, the segregation in school systems makes them believe
that is why they are separated. Batchelor and Taylor stated, Social interaction within
the peer culture is the basis from which friendships develop (Guralnick, 1981), and
is an important medium through which language, cognitive and social learning takes
place (Guralnick 1981; McEvoy Odom, 1987) (p. 1). Students need social
interaction with their peers in order to make friends and develop social skills. When
students with disabilities are all in one room together, they are not being exposed to
the people they will talk to in the real world, and therefore will not develop proper
social skills. When regular education students are integrated with students with
disabilities, they become much more accepting of people with differences. They
make new friends and learn how to accommodate for those who need extra help.
Keeping children separated plays a role on the reputation and mental health of those
with disabilities. Abrams, Hogg, and Marques (2005) stated, Whereas the experience
of inclusion is frequently accompanied by positive emotions, the experience of being
excluded typically leads to negative emotions, including sadness, loneliness, jealousy,
anger, shame, and anxiety (Baumeister Tice, 1990; Leary,1990) (p. 64). Children are
not born with hatred in their hearts. They are accepting of everyone until they are
taught to hate. Keeping students with disabilities separated from students without
them is teaching students that they are different and one group is more capable than
the other. Students with disabilities begin to

1.How much is the Bet Performer worth based on comparable transactions? What
ship is the best reference transaction? (the closest comparable)? Comparable
transaction is a conventional method of evaluating the value of something that is
ready for sale. To value a ship, one had to identify a set of comparable ships where
comparability was based on four main factors: ship type, size (DWT), age, and
condition. The Bet Performer was a 11 year old ship, built in 1997, 172,000 DWT
capsize bulk carrier. From the Exhibit 4, there are five ships which are the most
comparable to Bet Performer. They are Martha Verity, Ingenious, Sumihou, Cape Sun,
and Coppersmith. These ships all have the most similar characteristics, in terms of

This is logical because, larger the ships, more load could they carry, and thus make
higher profits, so are priced higher. Relationship between Age and Ship Price:
From the regression, we find that as the ship ages by one year, the price of the ship
drops by $ 4.54 mln. This makes sense because as with any other vehicle or asset,
the efficiency of the ship drops with age. As it gets older, the carrying value of the
ship lowers due to depreciation. Relationship between Charter rates and Ship
Price: With one point increase in the Capesize ship index, there is a slight increase
in the price of the ship by $0.007 mln. The Capesize ships took like a year to build,
and are good for 25 years, after which they are demolished and sold for scrap. The
economics of this ship breaking differed by ship size and type category. So higher
this index, higher is the price of the ship. b.Can you think of other factors that
might predict ship prices? Apart from the 4 factors ship type, DWT, ship age and
gears, there are a couple of other factors which affect the ship price. They are Type
of main engine, Confirmed time charter contracts with creditworthy counter parties
Loading equipment (cranes and derricks) Shipyard (original builder) Location
(where the ship was at the time of sale) All these affected the price of the ship, and

New Public Management ( Npm )
New Public Management (NPM) was developed in response to some criticisms of
the public sector. One of them is to make the public sector more financially
accountable since they need to demonstrate to the government who provides them
funding, that the money is being put into good use. They also need to ensure efficient
resource allocation (Peyton) because resources are limited yet there is an increase in
expectations and demands. For example, number of public hospitals and medical
expertise may be insufficient to meet the public s demand. This is because government
feel compelled to ensure that everyone can access healthcare and is therefore,
provided at a low cost. The problem is made worse due to the growth of private
hospitals, where quality of services is regarded as superior to public hospitals. The
public medical sector is thus under great pressure to improve service quality and
efficiency.
It is said that the new public management reforms have made public sector
organisations more calculable and accountable. First of all, it is important to define
these terms. Calculable means the ability to measure and assess the worth of
something. In our context, it often means putting monetary value on tangibles and
intangibles. Accountable means being held responsible for actions taken and the
ability to answer to those who are involved in the process. Accountability can be
towards donors (upwards) or towards beneficiaries (downwards). In order to

Dentistry, Dentistry And Oral Hygiene
In society, dentistry and oral hygiene has been overlooked and is viewed as a luxury.
Dentistry plays a large role in American culture and has evolved extensively since it
has begun. Today, the world of dentistry there have been multiple innovations with
advancements in diversity, inventions, dental health and diseases. The ADA defines
dentistryas the evaluation, diagnosis, prevention and/or treatment (nonsurgical,
surgical or related procedures) of disease, disorders and/or conditions of the oral
cavity, maxillofacial area and/or the adjacent and associated structures and their
impact on the human body ( ADA Definition of Dentistry )
To start, dental care has been around since 7000 BC, tools dentist have used have
even been found in ancient graveyards all over the world. Researchers have found
drilled teeth in graveyards were hard to reach molars. Although it is speculated
drilling could have been a decorative or replacement of evil spirits. ( The History of
Dentistry ) Since dental care wasn t popular until the 1700s, underclass citizens
were not able to get the proper care they need, they hand made tools themselves.
Underclass citizens experienced painful dental care, the tools were primitive and
the operator (person doing so) had either none or little experience. This is why
having access to dental coverage is important, without it individuals are at risk of
leaving detrimental oral diseases untreated. There are nearly 82 million people who

BEYOND THE DIVIDE
By: Kathryn Lasky
The reason I chose this book is because it is about a different culture and a different
life than of anyone I know.
Beyond the Divide is about a young Amish girl who felt suffocated living in the
Amish community. Meribah Simon had grown up in the Amishcommunity and the
strict rules of the community felt like walls closing in around her. Her father had
been shunned by the elders of the community and when Meribah found out that her
father was leaving to join the gold rush she decided to go with him. On the trip to
California there were many good times and just as many bad; if not more. On the
journey she and her father were traveling with a group of people that were going to ...

When some time had passed Meribah s father had gotten a wound from helping
someone fix something. When their wagon got broken down they could not go on
any further and the families with them did not want to take her father but they
agreed to take her. She loved her father dearly and would not let him be left behind.
The greed for gold caused many of the people to leave behind many of the others in
the group for the sake of getting to the gold as soon as possible. I can t say that I
wouldn t have been a better person than that because I have never been in such a
situation. I only hope that my choices would be different and greed would be
overcome with love and the choice to stay and help a human being in need. The
determination to survive was greater than just giving up and dying. Meribah and
her father were left behind to fend for themselves. The cold had come and it was
her job to keep her and her father alive because her father was ill and could not
help. She went out and hunted for things to build a little wagon on her own. There
were many things others had thrown out so there were many things to choose from.
I think that when faced with tough situations a person will somehow get through if
they have the determination. Sometimes when I have to do something and there is
no one to help or do it for me I feel as if I have that responsibility and I do what I
have to do. Many changes came
Tobacco And Tobacco Use

Tobacco was responsible for over 100 million deaths worldwide in the 20th Century
(Cancerresearchuk.org). Tobacco and nicotine use is a growing problem in our
world. There are 13 deadly cancers that develop from tobacco use. As stated in
cancer.gov, the cancers that develop from tobaccouse include the following: lung,
larynx, mouth, esophagus, throat, bladder, kidney, liver, stomach, pancreas, colon
/rectum, and the cervix. Over the years, the amount of people who develop lung
cancer and other illnesses from tobacco use has increased enormously. When
considering how tobacco use causes the body to develop cancer and illnesses, it is
important to identify the components and ingredients that make up or are involved
with nicotine products and how the body reacts to them. Also, it is essential to delve
into the numerous ways in which we can inhibit smoking in the world. It is
important that a person become familiar with the most popular types of tobacco
products and what elements they are composed of. According to tobaccofreelife.org,
Smokers can inhale anywhere from 4,800 to 7,000 chemicals other than just nicotine

Leadership Theory Of Leadership Development
Leadership Theory
I suppose leadership at one time meant muscles; but today it means getting along with
people.
Mahatma Gandhi
Ethical leadership has established on following principles.
Leadership is a process whereby individual influences a group of individuals to
achieve a common goal (Northouse, 2013, p. 5). So, to better understand the
fundamental principles preceding leadership philosophy, we have to understand the
theory of leadership development and its essential characteristics. The leadership
theories that are greatest associated with my personal developmental plan are the
theory of relationship and transformational leadership. The transformational
leadership theory is allied with my personal development plan because it is also
known as the transformational leadership model, which emphases on the influences
that inspires both the leader and the followers. According to this theory, the main
elements or fundamental base is created on vision, trust, power, authenticity,
motivation, and communication.
The development within the organization depend on, how the leaders lead the
organization and distinguish the change or growth. Drucker (2012) has provided the
five basic functions of organizational work culture like; planning, organizing,
controlling, motivating and coordinating. The transformational leader understands
these basic factors and inspire and encourage those who perceive the importance of
the higher good of the task.

Supreme Court History
Over the years, the Supreme Court has changed along with the situations and
controversies of the time period. The interpretations and connotations of many
amendments and constitutional clauses have grown and evolved throughout history,
and it is the job of the justice system to adapt to match these changes. As different
situations and scenarios have presented themselves, the justices of the Supreme
Court have wrestled with moral, judicial, legal, and societal reasons to make
decisions regarding the rights of the accused. In many situations, there is not always
a clear cut divide between right and wrong. This provides various challenges for the
court system, as its members are forced to make decisions based on a plethora of

The actions taken against Rochin were said to shock the conscience (Mabunda and
Mikula 371). It is against the constitution to allow these methods of obtaining
evidence to occur because they exceed the expectations for human decency by such a
large margin (Finkelman and Urofsky 290). Despite the fact that there is no direct
constitutional statement prohibiting or even addressing this type of behavior, it was
clear to the Supreme Court that it should not be tolerated (290). The methods of
obtaining evidence clearly obstructed justice and fair play (Mabunda and Mikula
372). Justice Frankfurter felt that they were too close to the rack and screw to permit
constitutional differentiation (Finkelman and Urofsky 290). Other justices found

Comparing God And God In Greek Mythology
I had taken a particular liking to Greek mythology when I read a certain book
series. I knew very well about god at the time so despite me liking Greek mythology,
actually believing it never crossed my mind. I will explain the overall difference
between Gods sovereignty and that of Greek fatalism.
If you so happen to be a Christian that knows about Greek mythology, then one thing
stands out the most; there is only one god in Christianity besides there are several
gods in Greek mythology. Zeus (the highest and most powerful god) created all
gods in Greek mythology, as in our god that has been here since the beginning of
time. Zeus is not a loving god. Zeus is more of a figure that plays with puppets in
this huge play room, he s more of an image of power and greatness that wished to
be worshiped at all times. Our God is a loving God that created everything and
controls everything. He has an image of power and love though has a personal
relationship with his followers. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He can produce lightning bolts and alter the weather. Unlike God, Zeus has
weaknesses which basically means he could be defeated. Zeus s two brothers
Poseidon and Hades are also the most powerful gods among most other gods. All
of these gods can sometimes have children called demigods which is a being that
is half God half Man. God only has one child, Jesus. Since Zeus could be defeated,
he is not as almighty and powerful as God. God granted us the ability of free will
while as Zeus and all other Gods can manipulate, control and destroy its people at
will. When you die you would go the three realms, with God there is only heaven or
The Help Movie Analysis
The Help Review Racism was and still is a very prevalent problem, especially in
African American communities. The Help, a novel by Kathryn Stockett, represented
racism in the 1960s very well. In 2011, the novel was adapted into a film by Tate
Taylor. The Help is a touching and well written film, that is in some ways better than
the book. In general, the filmThe Helpwould not have been as successful as it was if
it did not have a solid plot line. The movie revolves around the racial issues tackled
by a white twenty year old lady named Eugenia Phelan, known by her friends as
Skeeter, a black maid named Aibileen, and another black maid named Minny. After
being raised in Jackson, Mississippi, an incredibly segregated city during that time,
Skeeter decided to write a book of interviews revealing how life as an African
American was at that time. Even though she was going against social norms and was
eventually outcast by all of her friends, her courage and determination pushed her to
continue writing until the book was published. The plot of the movie was thoroughly
thought out and realistically showed both sides perspectives in Jackson. Although
the plot of the movie was very suitable, the plot of the book was arguably better.
There were a few minor details that added to the characterdevelopment and allowed
the book to be more interesting. For example, in the novel, Celia did not tell
Minny about her pregnancy, which added to the suspense when she had the still
born baby. Although both of the plots were fascinating, the novel s plot was
slightly more comprehensive than the film s, making it stand out more.
Furthermore, the set of The Help played a key role in the storytelling of the movie.
Fancy cars lined the streets and whites only signs dotted the walls. The set spoke
for itself; the humble, squalid homes of The Help paled in comparison to the
extravagance of the white women s homes. They provided an obvious example of
the inequality that took place during the story. Simply put, the hard working help had
much less than the privileged white women, and the sets allowed us to quite easily
visualize the situation. In the film, the racial differences in Jackson do not need to be
described; we can

For example if he never became a preacher the religious revolution in Scotland
would ve never been instigated. Also John Knox was the founder of the
Presbyterian Church, so if he never existed it would never be founded. The
Presbyterian church is a community of believers in Jesus Christ that seek love. The
church encouraged people to worship not just in church but in everyday settings. I
don t think that things would be completely different now if he never existed but I
do believe that some things would. For example Knox made worshipping Jesus a
everyday task. If it weren t for that who knows what could be different. John was
Scotland s leader for the reformation and the reformation was the process on how the
Papacy broke. Knox lead the Protestant Reformation in Scotland. For all we know
many others things that John had an input on could ve changed our world
The First Battle Of Bull Run
The First Battle of Bull Run was part of the Manassas Campaign. The campaign was
the result of the Confederates moving their capital from Montgomery, Alabama to
Richmond, Virginia. The move was strategic to gain more readily access to railroad
transportation. An essential railroad point was located at Manassas Junction in which
the Confederates relied heavily on for supplies. President Lincoln wanted to cut off
all supply routes to the south. Thus, the objective of the campaign was for the Union
Armyto gain control of Manassas Junction forcing the Confederates to surrender.
Since the battle was the first major land battle, the campaign was affected from the
lack of either Brigadier General exercising command in combat. Hence, the First

The raucous cackling of kookaburra calls in the misty early sunrise is what I

There is a meeting to consider possible candidates for the conspicuously empty

alcohol abuse and his inability to fulfill his spiritual duties. Allunga was grieving;
his wife and children had all caught something fiercely vicious, and had suffered

I ve seen some of our local kids, the children whose shoulders always seem to be
curled over despondently, whose family situations only seem to worsen, who try
to hide the angry hand marks bruising their skin. I walk a short way to the

smell of boogalies cooking in camp oven not far off wafts over. We begin by
remembering our great ancestors, and remembering our forefathers who suffered
before us, the lost generation of children. Throughout my entire life, I have seen the
effects of what this horrific tragedy has done to my people. We are a generation
lost and scattered in our own home, family s forever separated, no hope of ever
reconnecting and forever mourning our loss. Some elders begin to discuss our youth,
lamenting how they are drifting from our culture, and are forgetting their language. I
ponder over the many languages lost when the white man invaded and killed our
forefathers, and then forced our enslaved people to never speak their tongue. And
now with so few knowledgeable enough to uphold tradition, even more of the youth
are forgetting their language and heritage, and have less and less respect for their

1.Read Class Notes and trace the history of Mexican ceramics, through style.
Materials, purpose and technique.
The rich Mexican ceramics legacy was acquainted with Mexico by Spanish
organization craftsmen and artists of the Colonial time frame. Usually called
majolica in Spain, Mexican Talavera draws its name from the sixteenth century
Spanish ceramics focus, Talavera de la Reina. While the multifaceted polychrome and
more run of the mill blue and white outlines demonstrate their Old World inheritance,
local flower and creature themes assert these vivid earthenware productions as
traditionally Mexican. The most widely recognized earthenware production
procedures of that period were looping and squeezing. Pieces terminated in block

The most prominent and famous pottery made in Mexico is Talavera pottery.
Talavera is a high quality decorative earthenware pottery style that is recognized by
its strong colors and detailed patterns creating traditional Mexican and more
contemporary designs. The cultural trait of using bold mixtures of vivid colours in
art and fabrics was also prevalent in the rich variety of colours used in traditional
Mexican pottery decoration. Mexican pottery was made by coiling the clay into
consecutive circles up the sides, followed by scraping and molding the coiled
work until the coils could no longer be detected. The Mexican wares were not
glazed, but rather burnished and painted with coloured fine clay slips. The
Spanish introduced the potters wheel and new glazing techniques, including
Majolica. The colorful Majolica suited the Mexican aesthetic and the Talavera
pottery is renowned for its variety of Majolica and its mixture of different cultural
influences. There was also a predominance of curved lines and intricate detail. This
mixture of styles was adopted by the local folk art pottery scene with most potters
working in family workshops, and everyone participating in the process. Talavera
is a particular method of pottery which involves two firings first with a tin glaze
and then lead (see further information). The brightly painted designs are applied
between the two firings. Talavera is named after a town in Spain. This clay is then
kneaded and the pieces are shaped on a potter s wheel or in a mold and left to dry.
The pieces are fired at 850В°C and become hard and terracotta coloured. More
colour is applied in traditional designs. The design is transferred to the ceramic using
carbon on a paper stencil. The resulting dot pattern is then used as a guide for the
hand painted bright colours. The decorated piece is fired again to produce

The Veldt By Ray Bradbury. How Are Children Better
Than...
Today, some children have had a tendency to favor materialistic items over respect for
parents; however, Ray Bradbury, the author of The Veldt disagrees with this concept.
Bradbury believes that when children are too involved in items, they become
brainwashed and it has a negative effect on society. Mr. and Mrs. Hadley (the parents)
from The Veldt , struggle to discipline their kids, which results in the children not
having a priority to respect them. Through using allusions, setting, and technology,
the author warn children that materialistic items should not be valued higher than
respect for their parents.
Ray Bradbury uses technology to show that the children rely more on the technology
and materialistic items, then they do of their parents. The nursery in The Veldt
possesses things that purr and recede into crystalline distance and ...this house
which clothed and fed and rocked them to sleep and played and sang and was good
to them. (Bradbury 1). Through the description of the nursery, it provides the
reader with a sense of the nursery being high tech, expensive and more dependable
than the parents should be. This shows that the Hadley family does not lack money
so whatever they need, it is always right there. Bradbury also states, Peter looked at
his shoes. He never looked at his father any more, nor his mother and Would I have
to tie my own shoes instead of letting the shoe tier do it? (Bradbury 9). In these
quotes, it shows that by now the children have
Moral Rights And Its Impact On Society
Moral rights have played a role in our society for the better. These rights help make
us equal and have brought up value in every person life. Moral rights should be
viewed as something that should protect us from unfair judgment. In other words,
these rights should give us a sense of equality in which we are all equal and given a
good opportunity in life and more importantly the right to life. One of these major
moral problems includes abortion in which a fetus life is taken away without having
to live his/her. Some argue that a fetus hasn t fully developed but in the future this
problem has destroyed the chance for humanmoral rightsas they take chances away
for a human life to live. These fetuses should still be viewed as a human being. This
should be solved because it should be part of our moral rights. Happiness and morality
are independent and go together because being morally responsible and trustworthy
will make a person happy.
All of these moral rights each have a corresponding duty. These moral rights should
be divided into two categories, Negative rights and positive rights. Negative Rights
are the rights noninterference as positive rights are the right to recipience. With a
negative right it can create a corresponding duty in other moral rights. As there is a
positive right there can create a duty in other individuals. Moral rights like these
cannot be taken away from anyone unless you consent them to be taken away. Each
of this moral right should be either
Collection of Information for Systems Analysis Essay
examples
A critical part for systems analysis is the collection of information. From the very
beginning, analyst need to understand the information systems that are currently in
use. Besides, analyst has to find out expectations of users about how they prefer to
improve the current systems and organizational operations with the new or
replacement information systems. Last but not least, analyst will need to discover
how users feel about the new or replacement information systems. There are many
techniques for collecting these information. Face to face interviewing and self
administered questionnaires are two main techniques among them. This report is
about a comparison of face to face interviewing and self administered questionnaires.

The form of questionnaire could be through telephone, mail or even email in this
day and age. The following part will discuss advantage and disadvantage for face to
face interview and questionnaire. After that, a recommendation will be given for
which techniques should be used to collect feelings of staffs .
1.2Advantage and Disadvantage of face to face interview
According to Holbrook, Green and Krosnick (2003, p.79), face to face interview is
known for its high quality. Kendall and Kendall (2006, p.110) argue that an a
question and answer format is used for information gathering interview which is a
directed conversation with a specific purpose. In fact if we want to understand why
we need to choose interview as a select technique, we need to find out what we can
get from the interview. One thing that we can get from the interview is the opinions
of the interviewee and his or her feelings about the system, organizational and
personal goals, and informal procedures for interacting with information
technologies. The truth is that opinions maybe more important and more revealing
than facts. An example can be given as asking the owner of a traditional store who
has recently implement an online store how many customer has complain and need
to refund who deal through Web transactions each week. She replies: About 20 to 25
a week. Then you may discover that the average is only 10.5 per week. A conclusion

  • 2. The Natural Gas Of Gas Essay Natural gas liquefaction goes back to the 19th century when Michael Faraday, a British chemist and physicist, experimented with liquefying different types of gases including natural gas. Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is an odorless, colorless, non toxic, non corrosive and non flammable form of methane. The first liquefied natural gasplant was built in West Virginia in 1912 (Dominion). The LNG was first produced in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1939. In the 1950s and 1960s, the ocean going trade in international LNG began. In 1969, the first LNG terminal and commercial liquefaction facility in the world in the United States began operations in Kenai, Alaska. The Kenai Peninsula LNG plant, operated by ConocoPhillips, is one of the oldest and constantly operated LNG plants in the world. In order for natural gas to be exported overseas, it must first be turned into liquefied natural gas, attested and a safe process that requires the construction and operation of new facilities. The US government has a deep history of regulating different aspects of natural gas, including LNG, in interstate commerce. In 1938, Congress passed the Natural Gas Act, which granted the Federal Power Commission (FPC) exclusive jurisdiction over the import and export of natural gas. The federal government had been reorganized since 1938. To this day, the function of protecting the public interest for natural gas imports and exports has been allocated between two federal entities which are the FERC and DOE.

  • 4. The Importance Of Ownership And Intangible Objects Ownership is the act and state of having something in control or possession. Aristotle claims that owning tangible objects help to build moral character, while Jean Paul Sartre proposes that ownership extends beyond to include intangible things such as skill or knowledge. Different objects can have varying effects on the development of selfidentity, leading us to who we grow as a person. A sense of self can be a reflection to what we own, whether it is a tangible or not. Ownershipof intangible and tangible objects play a vital role for the growth of self identity, as it teaches crucial morals in life to develop personal character. Through the ownership of tangible objects, we as humans, have the ability to attain a perception of responsibility and the development of moral character. Ownership provides a guide towards important life lessons such as maturity and responsibility, which eventually contributes to shaping identity. Owning a loved pet, or owning valuable memories that can never be forgotten, it proves that owning these artifacts and characteristics, brings out the unique personality traits of someone. Someone reminiscing their childhood memories can show the importance or value of having a childhood. Ownership can truly reveal crucial life lessons you may never learn with the absence of ownership. The skills you obtain become your identity, which shows how ownership and moral character associate with one another. Owning something does not specifically have to be a physical object, as long as you can control what it is. Once I obtain skills and knowledge, no one can diminish them from my ownership. Though the moment may fade, the memory is everlasting. Ownership is a critical building block to who are you and who you can eventually become in the

The destruction of rain forests, overfishing, nuclear testing, soil erosion, fossil fuels, desertification, and landfills all have one thing in common, caused by humans. Numerous individuals are unaware these alone are destroying the environment. Individuals have learned in regards to our planet throughout the years, we know trees are a big necessity since they provide us with oxygen; the ocean s ecosystem creates a food chain with supply and demand for both humans and aquatic life, and chemicals produced by human experimentation leads to pollution, which harms plants, animals, aquatic life and human lives. Landfills not only contaminate Earth s soil and groundwater, but also produce a greenhouse gas known as, methane. In order to reduce the amount of methane being produced at landfills, humans should compost yard waste and recycle as much as possible (GAIA). Methane stands 25 to 72 times stronger than carbon dioxide and can be the foundation to health effects such as cancer and asthma. Landfills not only pollute the air we breathe, but are a significant source of global climate change. According to the Global Anti Incinerator Alliance, for every ton of waste, more than 70 tons of manufacturing, oil explorations, and coal combustion form (GAIA). In 2012, Derek Thompson, stated the world would produce 2.6 trillion pounds of garbage just for that particular year. Thompson appraised that amount to the equivalent weight of 7,000 Empire State Buildings (Derek Thompson 2012). Out of the 2.6 trillion pounds of garbage, 46 percent is organic, 4 percent metal, 5 percent glass, 10 percent plastic, 17 percent paper, and 18 percent is other (Derek Thompson 2012). • 6. Conflict In Romeo And Juliet Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy play written by William Shakespeare in the year 1591. The plot is mainly based on an Italian tale which narrates about a pair of young star cross d lovers whose feuding families are the main obstacle to their marriage, to which their death leads to the end of their parents strife to one another. Although it is very ancient and historical, the masterpiece has withstood the considerable test of time and still remains popular today. Romeo and Juliet has been studied and taught worldwide in schools, universities, and other famous educational institutions. The play has also been reproduced thousands of times on television, film, and live theatre. It has endured large groups of audiences and the reason being is most ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... R J fits this criteria because there are multiple conflicts to each other which have connections with one another and makes the story interesting and more exciting. For example, the love game where Romeo loves Rosaline, but Rosaline loves Paris, but Paris loves Juliet, and finally the cat and mouse game ends with Juliet loving Romeo and Romeo turns from Rosaline to love Juliet. Another example of an interesting conflict is the unknown love at the party when Romeo meets Juliet. At the party, Juliet sees Romeo and Romeo sees Juliet, and loving each other at first sight . Only until Juliet finds out that Romeo is a Montague and things get complicated from this point. Another excellent example of a double conflict that makes it more exciting is a fight where Tybalt kills Mercutioand Romeo kills Tybalt in retaliation and he runs away from the city before the Prince comes and tells that he is banished from the city. Dracula satisfied my criteria because the piece has a very exciting and unusual conflict, which makes the story more interesting in a way and by incorporating an exciting mysterious setting to the conflict of the story that makes the readers feel that even though location in the story has changed, but it still feels like all of the good characters are all on the run from Dracula and Dracula will turn the protagonist s friends and families, one by one, into vampires like him and makes the conflict more intense and interesting to read. A great example of this is that Jonathan Harker, the main protagonist of the story realizes that Dracula is not human but suffers from a vampire induced fever so he can t go back to England to warn everybody In time. It is a double conflict Harker can t go anywhere as he is too sick from the fever, and he knows that there is a danger approaching England but he can t do anything about it. Even though Dracula s genre and R J s genre are different, they
  • 7. Nathaniel Hawthorne Influences Nathaniel Hawthorne, the famous author, was born in Salem on July 4th, 1804. He was the great great grandson of the Salem Witch Trials judge John Hathorne. Hawthorne was clearly appalled by the relation to his ancestor which lead to him adding the W to his last name to be no longer associated with his great great grandfather. Hawthorne grew up in Salem but spent most of his time in Raymond, Maine because his mother owned a house there. Nathaniel Hawthorne died of natural causes during a trip to the White Mountains with Franklin Pierce on May 19, 1864. Hawthorne died at the ripe age of fifty nine years old from 1804 1864. This change was something he agreed with because Hawthorne wasn t very upcoming in religious stances. That was made very clear when he parted from his long long line of puritan family members. Hawthorne decided to become a novelist which he very much so lived up to because now he is famous for many incredible novels. Sadly some of his family did not support his decision although most did. He always felt like he let them down Hawthorne stated that himself in the first few pages of his book the Scarlet Letter the old trunk of the family tree, with so much venerable moss upon it, should have borne, as its topmost bough, an idler like myself. No aim that I have ever cherished, would they recognize as laudable; no success of mine if my life, beyond its domestic scope, had ever been brightened by success would they deem otherwise than worthless, if not positively disgraceful. Even though many were against his decision to become a writer was life changing for him. The fact that many were against him pushed Hawthorne to beat the odds and prove how great he was at writing novels so great that millions of people took the time to read his amazing works of

Importance of Mountains in Kerouac s Dharma Bums and Barthelme s The Glass Mountain Mountains are significant in the writing of Jack Kerouac and Donald Barthelme as symbolic representations of achievement and the isolation of an individual from the masses of the working class in industrialized capitalist American society. The mountains, depicted by Kerouac and Barthelme, rise above the American landscape as majestic entities whose peaks are touched by few enduring and brave souls. The mountains, being so colossal, have many levels and plateaus in which some people may find comfort and a sense of accomplishment where they may choose to live out the remainder of their lives, although they are far from the peak. Morley s decision to stay behind while Japhy and Ray continue their climb to the peak of Matterhorn is comparable to Barthelme s depiction of the crowd on the streets watching cynically as their hero climbs to the golden castle of the glass mountain. This crowd symbolizes the growing middle class, comfortable in their conformity as working stiffs and homemakers who do not want to risk their current contentment for a chance to reach the heights of American capitalism. Morley is content to remain a dreaming spot by the little lake in the eyes of Ray Smith who is miles ahead on the mountain questioning his own decision to tackle the frightening height of the Matterhorn. (p.82). Morley represents, through his actions, Americans living comfortably, yet always dreaming the American dream to be more successful, powerful, or rich as he says I don t think I can make it. Primate Observation Within this essay, we will study more in depth the behavioral as well as physical traits of two primates at a zoo from their interaction with their peers to their place in the group. This observation would enable us to further understand the possible existing correlation between humans and primates. First, I studied a female chimpanzeewith her baby, and then, a dominant male gorilla, in San Francisco Zoo at about noon, on May 23, 2015, for an hour each. Even though they share some similarities such as having a large brain, living for a long time, and being bored in their enclosure, they are still different; when gorillas are the largest, chimpanzees are the smartest. The way the female chimp used tools, and her fingers to grab food, how she used to be on her feet, freeing her hands, groom her child, educate her offspring, sleep with him while snuggling, use a lot of face emotions to convey a message to an individual; she smiled at her baby, laughed when playing, and tickling him, remind me of human. She also has a flat pink face, hands palm, and feet sole as humans do. Furthermore, the gorilla was also really human when he protected his eyes from the intense sunrays, following the movement of the sun, and sat in the shade, mated with a female, scratched his head, and bottom, and put his finger in his nose. I think that these humans pattern appeared for similar reasons as in the Primates. For instance, when the gorilla scratches his bottom, it is because the area is itchy, and he wants to remove what is indisposing him. In addition, the mother chimp educates her kid to transmit knowledge throughout generation, which is the same for humans, who go to school. According to my observation, even though Chimpanzee, and Gorilla are similar, they differ in many other ways when we go deeper in physical, and behavioral traits. However, both species also share the majority part of their DNA with Humans. Based on some reliable researches, some scientists realized that humans did not come from apes but instead shared common ancestors. Essay Comparing The Yellow Wallpaper And A Doll s House Throughout the nineteenth century, gender assumptions were made stating that women were the substantially and intellectually the weaker sex. Due to this mindset, it was believed that women must always serve under male control. This belief caused most women in the nineteenth century to bask in an aura of oppression and repression. Feministic views commence from the awareness of the inequality of treatment that women faced. Many stories such as, The Yellow Wallpaper written by Charlotte Perkins Gilman , and the The Story of an Hour written by Kate Chopin , demonstrated the oppression that women endured and expressed women s regression. However, only The Yellow Wallpaper and the The Story of an Hour are attributable to the play A Doll s House through it s use of symbolic symbols. The Role of African Americans in the Revolutionary War Essay The Role of African Americans in the Revolutionary War An estimated 100,000 African Americans escaped, died or were killed during the American Revolution(Mount). Roughly 95% of African Americans in the United States were slaves, and because of their status, the use of them during the revolution was inevitable(Mount). This led many Americans, especially those from the North, to believe that the South s economy would collapse without slavery due to the use of slaves on the front lines. When one needs time to spend with family and friends or even just to get the most important things dealing with the business done, having a partner is a good ideal because days or weeks can be rotated among the two. By bringing on a partner, you acquire a new network of contacts and potential customers. If one partner was to died or become physical impaired while in the partnership agreement the other partner can take over the business completely or choose to sell the other partner s half of the business (Price, 2012). While the industrial revolution boosted the economy on the coasts, Midwestern farmers were victims of deflationary debt increases, exorbitant shipping and railroad rates, a high protective tariff, and a government that for the most part ignored them.1 Desperate circumstances moved the everyday American farmers to join together and voice their grievances. Instead of seeking federal aid or economic relief, they attempted to use the power of the ballot to achieve their goals.1 The united group of farmers used the Populist Partyas a springboard to launch their complaints and eventually got their candidate, William Jennings Bryan, nominated for the presidential election of 1896 by the Democratic Party. L. Frank Baum, a newspaper writer who lived in a small prairie town in South Dakota, experienced the populist wave firsthand, attending Bryan s famous Cross of Gold speech in Chicago, and subtly incorporated many aspects of Bryan s campaign into his children s novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.2 Despite his own claim that this novel was written solely for the entertainment of the children of today , several historians have discovered that the book clearly reflects the culture of the time period in which it was written.3 By symbolically representing the struggles of the everyday working man, Bryan s political enemies, and the campaign for free silver, Baum

The nucleus contains two types of components called the nucleons, which consist of the proton and neutron. The mass number of an atom is defined by the sum of the protons and neutrons; the atomic number of an atom is defined by the number of protons only. Atoms which have different mass numbers but have the same atomic number are referred as isotopes, for example carbon 12, 13, and 14.Nucleus with special numbers of the neutronand protons are referred as nuclides. Radio nuclides are usually unstable and it continuously emits particles as well as emits the electromagnetic radiation. Emission is the process of the unstable nucleus to undergo and become stable, this way it reduces the cost of the energy. For example the Uranium 238,which decays into an alpha particle(Helium nucleus) and a nucleon (Thorium 234). When the Uranium 238 decays it decomposed at the same time, this process can be also called as alpha decayed. The equation for that is:238U92 234Th90 + 4He2 + Gamma rays. There are three types of radioactive decay; alpha, beta and gamma radiation. The alpha radiation includes a stream of the Helium 4nuclei; beta radiation has higher speed electrons when emitting from unstable nucleus and normally has a negative charge(positron is the opposite side of the beta decay); gamma radiation has not much altering ability on the mass on either atomic or mass number thus it

Feudalism In Romantic Poetry A dictum from Heraclitus may illustrate the origin of romantic poetry, when we are awake we have a world in common, but when we are asleep each has his own world (Quoted by O Connell 35). As conceived from the innermost being, romantic poems have a close relationship with dream. However, as the definitions and characteristics are controversial, some critics oppose to use the term Romanticism . For instance, Arthur Lovejoy criticizes that Romanticism is an obscure norm when defined by associating the nature and emotion as even Plato can be regarded as a pioneer in romantic poetryaccording to this definition (Lovejoy 230). However, romantic poetry cannot be defined with a linguistic entitle without considering the historical process (Wellek 2) for it appeared in a specific period after the revolution in France and the Enlightenment, when the awareness of rationalism started to spreed. There are various reasons why people are for or against full inclusion. The Learning Disabilities Association of America (2012) defines full inclusion as, a popular policy/practice in which all students with disabilities, regardless of the nature or the severity of the disabilityand need for related services, receive their total educationwithin the regular education classroom in their home school (p. 1). When children are separated in schools, they begin to believe that one group is better than the other. More often than not, elementary aged students refer to the special education students as the mental ones. Although children do not intentionally negatively judge their peers, the segregation in school systems makes them believe that is why they are separated. Batchelor and Taylor stated, Social interaction within the peer culture is the basis from which friendships develop (Guralnick, 1981), and is an important medium through which language, cognitive and social learning takes place (Guralnick 1981; McEvoy Odom, 1987) (p. 1). Students need social interaction with their peers in order to make friends and develop social skills. When students with disabilities are all in one room together, they are not being exposed to the people they will talk to in the real world, and therefore will not develop proper social skills. When regular education students are integrated with students with disabilities, they become much more accepting of people with differences. They make new friends and learn how to accommodate for those who need extra help. Keeping children separated plays a role on the reputation and mental health of those with disabilities. Abrams, Hogg, and Marques (2005) stated, Whereas the experience of inclusion is frequently accompanied by positive emotions, the experience of being excluded typically leads to negative emotions, including sadness, loneliness, jealousy, anger, shame, and anxiety (Baumeister Tice, 1990; Leary,1990) (p. 64). Children are not born with hatred in their hearts. They are accepting of everyone until they are taught to hate. Keeping students with disabilities separated from students without them is teaching students that they are different and one group is more capable than the other. Students with disabilities begin to

Relationship between Age and Ship Price: From the regression, we find that as the ship ages by one year, the price of the ship drops by $ 4.54 mln. This makes sense because as with any other vehicle or asset, the efficiency of the ship drops with age. As it gets older, the carrying value of the ship lowers due to depreciation. Relationship between Charter rates and Ship Price: With one point increase in the Capesize ship index, there is a slight increase in the price of the ship by $0.007 mln. The Capesize ships took like a year to build, and are good for 25 years, after which they are demolished and sold for scrap. The economics of this ship breaking differed by ship size and type category. So higher this index, higher is the price of the ship. b.Can you think of other factors that might predict ship prices? • 26. New Public Management ( Npm ) New Public Management (NPM) was developed in response to some criticisms of the public sector. One of them is to make the public sector more financially accountable since they need to demonstrate to the government who provides them funding, that the money is being put into good use. They also need to ensure efficient resource allocation (Peyton) because resources are limited yet there is an increase in expectations and demands. For example, number of public hospitals and medical expertise may be insufficient to meet the public s demand. This is because government feel compelled to ensure that everyone can access healthcare and is therefore, provided at a low cost. The problem is made worse due to the growth of private hospitals, where quality of services is regarded as superior to public hospitals. The public medical sector is thus under great pressure to improve service quality and efficiency. It is said that the new public management reforms have made public sector organisations more calculable and accountable. First of all, it is important to define these terms. Calculable means the ability to measure and assess the worth of something. In our context, it often means putting monetary value on tangibles and intangibles. Accountable means being held responsible for actions taken and the ability to answer to those who are involved in the process. Accountability can be towards donors (upwards) or towards beneficiaries (downwards). In order to investigate this statement

She loved her father dearly and would not let him be left behind. The greed for gold caused many of the people to leave behind many of the others in the group for the sake of getting to the gold as soon as possible. I can t say that I wouldn t have been a better person than that because I have never been in such a situation. I only hope that my choices would be different and greed would be overcome with love and the choice to stay and help a human being in need. The determination to survive was greater than just giving up and dying. Meribah and her father were left behind to fend for themselves. The cold had come and it was her job to keep her and her father alive because her father was ill and could not help. She went out and hunted for things to build a little wagon on her own. There were many things others had thrown out so there were many things to choose from. I think that when faced with tough situations a person will somehow get through if they have the determination. Sometimes when I have to do something and there is no one to help or do it for me I feel as if I have that responsibility and I do what I have to do. Many changes came

Mahatma Gandhi Ethical leadership has established on following principles. (Picture courtesy: Northouse, 2013) Leadership is a process whereby individual influences a group of individuals to achieve a common goal (Northouse, 2013, p. 5). So, to better understand the fundamental principles preceding leadership philosophy, we have to understand the theory of leadership development and its essential characteristics. The leadership theories that are greatest associated with my personal developmental plan are the theory of relationship and transformational leadership. The transformational leadership theory is allied with my personal development plan because it is also known as the transformational leadership model, which emphases on the influences that inspires both the leader and the followers. According to this theory, the main elements or fundamental base is created on vision, trust, power, authenticity, motivation, and communication. The development within the organization depend on, how the leaders lead the organization and distinguish the change or growth. Drucker (2012) has provided the five basic functions of organizational work culture like; planning, organizing, controlling, motivating and coordinating. The transformational leader understands these basic factors and inspire and encourage those who perceive the importance of the higher good of the task.

I knew very well about god at the time so despite me liking Greek mythology, actually believing it never crossed my mind. I will explain the overall difference between Gods sovereignty and that of Greek fatalism. If you so happen to be a Christian that knows about Greek mythology, then one thing stands out the most; there is only one god in Christianity besides there are several gods in Greek mythology. Zeus (the highest and most powerful god) created all gods in Greek mythology, as in our god that has been here since the beginning of time. Zeus is not a loving god. Zeus is more of a figure that plays with puppets in this huge play room, he s more of an image of power and greatness that wished to be worshiped at all times. • 41. The Help Movie Analysis The Help Review Racism was and still is a very prevalent problem, especially in African American communities. The Help, a novel by Kathryn Stockett, represented racism in the 1960s very well. In 2011, the novel was adapted into a film by Tate Taylor. The Help is a touching and well written film, that is in some ways better than the book. In general, the filmThe Helpwould not have been as successful as it was if it did not have a solid plot line. The movie revolves around the racial issues tackled by a white twenty year old lady named Eugenia Phelan, known by her friends as Skeeter, a black maid named Aibileen, and another black maid named Minny. After being raised in Jackson, Mississippi, an incredibly segregated city during that time, Skeeter decided to write a book of interviews revealing how life as an African American was at that time. Even though she was going against social norms and was eventually outcast by all of her friends, her courage and determination pushed her to continue writing until the book was published. The plot of the movie was thoroughly thought out and realistically showed both sides perspectives in Jackson. Although the plot of the movie was very suitable, the plot of the book was arguably better. There were a few minor details that added to the characterdevelopment and allowed the book to be more interesting. For example, in the novel, Celia did not tell Minny about her pregnancy, which added to the suspense when she had the still born baby. Although both of the plots were fascinating, the novel s plot was slightly more comprehensive than the film s, making it stand out more. Furthermore, the set of The Help played a key role in the storytelling of the movie. Fancy cars lined the streets and whites only signs dotted the walls. The set spoke for itself; the humble, squalid homes of The Help paled in comparison to the extravagance of the white women s homes. They provided an obvious example of the inequality that took place during the story. Simply put, the hard working help had much less than the privileged white women, and the sets allowed us to quite easily visualize the situation. In the film, the racial differences in Jackson do not need to be described; we can

Talavera is a high quality decorative earthenware pottery style that is recognized by its strong colors and detailed patterns creating traditional Mexican and more contemporary designs. The cultural trait of using bold mixtures of vivid colours in art and fabrics was also prevalent in the rich variety of colours used in traditional Mexican pottery decoration. Mexican pottery was made by coiling the clay into consecutive circles up the sides, followed by scraping and molding the coiled work until the coils could no longer be detected. The Mexican wares were not glazed, but rather burnished and painted with coloured fine clay slips. The Spanish introduced the potters wheel and new glazing techniques, including Majolica. The colorful Majolica suited the Mexican aesthetic and the Talavera pottery is renowned for its variety of Majolica and its mixture of different cultural influences. There was also a predominance of curved lines and intricate detail. This mixture of styles was adopted by the local folk art pottery scene with most potters working in family workshops, and everyone participating in the process. Today, some children have had a tendency to favor materialistic items over respect for parents; however, Ray Bradbury, the author of The Veldt disagrees with this concept. Bradbury believes that when children are too involved in items, they become brainwashed and it has a negative effect on society. Mr. and Mrs. Hadley (the parents) from The Veldt , struggle to discipline their kids, which results in the children not having a priority to respect them. Through using allusions, setting, and technology, the author warn children that materialistic items should not be valued higher than respect for their parents. Ray Bradbury uses technology to show that the children rely more on the technology and materialistic items, then they do of their parents. The nursery in The Veldt possesses things that purr and recede into crystalline distance and ...this house which clothed and fed and rocked them to sleep and played and sang and was good to them. Moral rights should be viewed as something that should protect us from unfair judgment. One of these major moral problems includes abortion in which a fetus life is taken away without having to live his/her. Some argue that a fetus hasn t fully developed but in the future this problem has destroyed the chance for humanmoral rightsas they take chances away for a human life to live. These fetuses should still be viewed as a human being. This should be solved because it should be part of our moral rights. Happiness and morality are independent and go together because being morally responsible and trustworthy will make a person happy. All of these moral rights each have a corresponding duty. These moral rights should be divided into two categories, Negative rights and positive rights. Negative Rights are the rights noninterference as positive rights are the right to recipience.
