283
HEY GUYS! GUYS! WE GOT TO TALK ABOUT 284! I just read it and I got a lot to talk about!
Because seriously, this is quite possibly one of the most hilarious and incompetent stories I ve
ever seen. Yes, Archie fans, I mean that. I knew this comic was going to be a mess after reading
the summary for this, but this is ridiculous and we got to talk about everything in this, because
train wrecks like this don t happen often. This issues fails in some of the most basic ways
possible that if I didn t know better, I would swear this is a parody. Now I usually do analysis
posts where I talk about overall problems, but this is something that needs to be experienced so
we are going to talk about this scene by scene to we can enjoy this massive 5 car pileup. But
before we can do that we need to talk about the first car to start this mess for a second, 283. Now
I do plan to talk about 283 in more detail as it shows a lot of the problems of this comic when it
comes to pacing and structure, but it s relevant to 284 as it is a massive setup for it. Not just that
it is prepping for the following for issues, it s also an issue that sets up the punchline. The entire
issue is dedicated to Sally, Sonic and Chip detailing what their plan is. A common clichГ©... Show

Now it completely misses the point of doing this that instead of it trying to show the weaknesses
of the characters or to show how they weren t up to the task, this has things bad things happen
because Flynn wanted bad things to happen. But that could at least be ok, it is was willing to
commit to the tragedy and kept the drama intact. This comic, on the other hand, keep doing the
dumbest things to undermine its own drama. Not only in scenes like Germal getting dragged off
like a looney tune character and then dogged piled on to hold him down or the over the top
tempting fate in the beginning, but in scenes like this where it is 3 frames over from being a

In the specialty literature doubts persist in using this terminology, especially in relation to the
scope of the hospitality industry. Thus, a series of authors consider as part of this field only food
and accommodation services, perhaps because those benefits are offered under the same premises
works like industrial units, other authors, however, consider it appropriate a broader approach,
including leisure services and even the marketing of products.
(David P. Baron Business and its environment, fourth edition)
In terms of ownership, tour operators are found in both the private and public sector
Private Sector. Increasing the number of transactions and mergers within the industry came amid
vertical or horizontal integration. Horizontal integration involves expanding within an industry
sector, for example through the development of hotel chains or network by opening new routes.
Companies grouped in this formula is in an integrated chain, controlled by a unique decision. They
offer a homogeneous product sold under the same brand, using the techniques work together.
Horizontal integration means not only achieve these general goals, but also contribute to better

coastal and mountainous areas, for example, may allow the transfer of staff and a seasonal effective

Forest Kindergartens Research Paper
Would you ever let your four or five year old roam in the forest with twenty other kids and only
one overseer? Would you ever let this serve as their Preschool and Kindergarten education?
Surprisingly enough, this is a style of education that is sweeping through Scandinavian countries as
well as other European countries. The concept is called a Forest Kindergartenand the purpose of
this is to get young children more interested in learning. Also, they aim to allow kids to develop
their motor skills in a natural way instead of in a normal classroom setting. In Denmark, Forest
Kindergartens have been a form of youth education for many years. Today, it is believed that
close to ten percent of Danish kids go to forest kindergartens. The short documentary called Kids
Gone Wild does an adequate job of informing people of what goes on in these places regularly.
You can see kids climbing up thirty foot trees, sharpening wood with knives and exploring all
there is that nature can offer. To an outside eye, this may seem very dangerous and that the kid
really does not learn enough to become prepared (both mentally and socially) for grade school. But,
the short film points out that the students actually are more motivated to learn and discover after
Forest Kindergartens than they would be instead of going to a traditional kindergarten. The film
showed a kid from the Forest... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But, I see our society as becoming very sheltered and very structured. I think it is important for us
to start taking more risks in society and become stronger and more confident in ourselves.
However, I do not necessarily think that we can completely adopt Denmark s Forest Kindergarten ,
I think we can put more emphasis on incorporating more importance on exposing children to nature
and learn to grow on their own instead of directly teaching people

Scramble For Africa Research Paper
Joshua Childress
Professor John Rowley
World History Since 1500
16 November 2015 The Scramble for Africa The scramble for Africa was the fast paced invasion
and division of the African continent by European powers during what is today known as the time
of New Imperialism . Most people would date the start of the scramble for Africa in 1881 1882
whenthe British invaded and occupied Egypt but the roots of this movement can be traced back
even earlier than that. A key moment that can be identified when talking about the roots of
European conquest and conflict in Africa is the opening of the Suez Canal. The strategic
importance of the Suez Canal, which opened in 1869, became almost immediately obvious to the
British Empire as it opened a water way directly from the Mediterranean Sea to the Indian Ocean,
reducing travel time from the home islands to colonies in The Indian subcontinent and East Asia.
The Suez was so important to Great Britain that when an Arab revolt in the country caused the
French to back out of a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As both the French and the British now held large colonies in Africa, Bismarck then set out to
claim four large chunks of land in Africa for Germany in 1884. In the same year the King of
Belgium took control of the whole of the Congo Basin. Worried that so many large powers all
vying for land in the same place would cause larger scale conflicts, the European colonial powers
held the Berlin West Africa Conference from 1884 to 1885. This conference helped to settle
several land disputes between the European powers and throughout the next 10 years, all the major
European powers with the exception of Austria and Russia would take colonies and protectorates
in Africa. Because of the decisions made at the Berlin Conference, no war would come between to
colonial European powers in Africa after

unwanted pregnancies, and works to balance migration so that people entering the country as
migrants do not exceed those leaving it. Unfortunately, if the United Kingdom is unable to control

Passover Through Storytelling
Storytelling is a common theme in the human experience. Almost all civilizations have a tradition
of storytelling whether it be folk tales used to teach lessons or stories used to remember the past.
Storytelling is important to Judaism as it is used to recount Jewish history and to teach new
generations about the past to create a better future. Oral tradition and the Torah are used to help
discuss the past. In fact, the Torah itself is storytellingin written form used to preserve history and
traditions. Jewish communities also use storytelling to discuss and debate the past and how it
affects life today. For example, the meanings and rules illustrated in the Torah are often discussed
to determine how they relate to current issues. To do this, the older generations use storytelling
and the Torah to teach the new generations about the history of the Jewish people. Stories are used
to explain the world and to teach people morals and lessons so they can pass them onto their
children. This plays a role in Jewish history and traditions, including Passover. Storytelling is a
significant part of the significance and celebration of Passover. Storytelling is important to the
meaning and celebration of Passover.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Passover is based on the story in Exodus. The Israelites were enslaved in Egypt then Moses led
them out of Egypt after the last plague. The night before, Jewish people rapidly prepared to
leave. They sacrificed a lamb and put blood on their doors to protect them. They also made
unleavened bread because they did not have time for it to rise. Moses led them safely out of
Egypt, where they were freed from slavery and developed their new identity as a nation. Passover
is centered around the story of Exodus. Thus, Passover celebrates the liberation of the Israelites and
the birth of their independent

In Praise Of The F Word By Mary Shelly
In Praise of the F word is a short story written by Mary Shelly which demonstrates the deficiencies
within the educational system. No student should be allowed to move onto the following grade just
because a teacher cannot tolerate him or her in the classroom. Shelly illustrates this within the story
as she tells the reader that she is in agreeance with the teacher s policy of failing her students.
Because of this the reader will realize that students should put in their maximum effort in the
classroom instead of diminishing their studies. Once students grow up and move onto their
responsibilities in the future, the ones who took school seriously will have an easier time handling
those things rather than the ones who slacked off in school. Students should not be afraid to flunk
classes because it matures them and prepares them for their future, and gives them a sense of
accomplishment when they pass the class. To begin, using the F word to motivate students
illustrates matures them as adults and prepares them to expect anything in the future. Fred Phillips
from the University of Saskatchewan stated, when planning classes, accounting faculty make
choices about pedagogies, content, and instructional design that affect the difficulty of students
initial learning experiences. These choices can make initial learning experiences easier and more
comfortable for students, or they can make initial learning experiences more difficult and
challenging (1). How a student

The Importance Of Self-Respect To Me
Self respect to me, means standing up for who you are and what you believe in, when the
circumstances you are in are bringing you down, while respecting others backgrounds in the
process.
I feel like I have come a long way as a person, even though I am only 17 and still have a long way
to go in life and lots to learn. I feel like teenage years are meant for learning who you are as a
person, learning how to cope with other people, and what you want to accomplish in life. Forget
about high school classes like math, language arts or history. Yes those classes matter to pass or
to get a good grade in, but do they actually teach you how to be successful in life, or maybe teach
you lifelong skills you will need later in life? I bet you most students would tell you no to this
question. We find who we are when we get lost in the things we love doing and what we do with
the opportunities we have been given.
Your teenage years are all about you. You are learning on your own who you want to be and
what you want to be. A lot of studies out there say that teenagers or adolescents are actually more
hardworking than adults are. I believe this is true because most teenagers are involved in
school, work, sports, religious activities, and many more. I feel like I fit in this group. Ever since I
was 15, I feel like life has just been busy all the time (which is a good thing). This is because I am
actually taking advantage of all the opportunities I have been given as a teenager. I feel

Comparing Hitchcock s Rear Window And The Birds
Rear Window and The Birds were both filmed around the 1960 s a time in which the film industry
was experiencing a great downfall. Because there were so many movements going on around the
world such as, feminist movements, racial movements, post war movements, political movements
etc. many films were not successful and there were many different genres that were being used in
films. There were also many different independent films that were produced; this had an influence
on American filmas well. It is surprising how successful Hitchcock was during this time period
where film production was looking grim. In order to be successful in America during this period of
struggle Hitchcock had to shy away from the usual style and production of film.... Show more

Starting with the boat scene when Melanie Daniels is bringing the two lovebirds to Mitch
Brenner s house. As Melanie is driving the boat over to his house across the bay we see her as if
we were indeed on the boat with her awaiting the arrival onshore, sitting in the boat watching the
dock coming closer and closer. While at other times we see Melanie in the boat driving as if we
were in another boat beside her observing her actions. Later on in the film while Melanie is
picking up Cathy Brenner from school we see her sitting outside on a bench smoking a cigarette.
At this point we are placed as if we are standing in front of her watching the birds gather behind
her on the playground. Another time we are placed in the scene by the camera is at the Brenner
s house. As Melanie, Cathy, Lydia, and Mitch try to regain their composure after another bird
attack, Melanie decides to check on the lovebirds in the kitchen. Following behind her as if we
are assisting her we accompany her up the stairs after she hears the flapping of wings upstairs.
We are placed in the scene again as we carefully follow the ascending stairs leading towards the
sounds. As we reach the room where the sounds are coming from we hear them even louder.
Melanie slowly places her hand on the doorknob, adding suspense and opens it at this particular
moment we are placed in the scene while coming up the stairs, when Melanie reaches to open the

The Church Of The Christian Church
A major institution in my culture would be the Christian church. My grandmother is a Pastor at a
Christian church so this church is a part of my upbringing and cultural background. The Church
makes people follow certain rules called commandments. Breaking a commandment is called a sin.
When you sin in the Christian religionyou are supposed to pray and repent and ask God for
forgiveness. The bible and all the preachers and pastors will tell you that praying for repentance
will not clear what you have done and that God will not give you certain blessings because you
have sinned.
This institution of my culture functions similarly to the Azande and their witchcraft because they are
both used to control society. The Author also states on page five hundred fifty five that, Witchcraft
is thought to be an actual physical property residing inside some individuals, who may themselves
be unaware of their power. I relate this statement to some of the Christian pastors and Christian
churchgoers as well that get television shows because they claim that they met God in a dream or
that they died and saw and talked to God before the paramedics or doctor revived them. Another
way of similarity is that of how they control society with these institutions, the Christian church and
the Azande use the institutions for their followers to act accordingly or get punished. For example
the sinning and missing blessings in the Christian culture is similar to the Azande, where if you are

First of all, financial institutions were rare in Britain at this time. Therefore, it was very hard to
find an investor in order to buy machines and equipment. Once again, networking practices were
crucial to contact aristocrats who were willing to lend money. Another financial problem is
related to the lack of standards and tools to run a business at this time. As Wedgwood explained
during the vase madness period, the financial health of the company was in peril even if they
sold a considerable amount of vases. In fact, he bought a lot of raw materials but in the same
time his business partner didn t collect quite quickly the bills. This situation influenced
negatively the liquid assets of Wedgwood s business. As Wedgwood and Bentley were afraid of

Changes Of Aging
As people age over time, they have a way of changing both psychological and biological. These
changes affect everyone in different ways and the changes that can take place over the years can
vary from individual to individual. For the human brain, there s no such thing as over the hill.
Psychologists researching the normal changes of aging have found that although some aspects of
memoryand processing change as people get older, simple behavior changes can help people stay
sharp for as long as possible. Although researchers are still piecing together what happens in a
healthy aging brain, they can explain some typical changes (Memory Changes in Older Adults,

Semantic memory is generally derived from episodic memory, in that we learn new facts or
concepts from our experiences, and episodic memory is considered to reinforce semantic memory
(Zimmermann, 2014). It is agreed by researches that there is a transition from episodic to semantic
memory. With that being said, not all sematic memory is developed from episodic memory. A
gradual transition from episodic to semantic memory can take place, in which episodic memory
reduces its sensitivity and association to particular events, so that the information can be
generalized as semantic memory (Episodic Sematic Memory) . This is important to understand
within this process due to the fact that this allows individuals to store information as general
knowledge. Both the episodic and sematic memory process involve and require a similar encoding

Contagious Nature Of Kind Acts
During the second week of the new year, Mrs. Thompson s language arts classes conducted an
experiment in order to demonstrate the contagious nature of kind acts. To accomplish this, they
received slips of paper from Mrs. Thompson that could be transferred to recipients of kind acts to
be redistributed. This produced a continuous cycle of kind acts that is still in effect, which
provides the world with an example of the contagious behavior of acts of kindness. Be kind
whenever possible. It is always possible. These are the words of the current Dalai Lama, Tenzin
Gyatso, a man who dedicated his life to obtaining equality for the people of Tibet. Although
impossible to impact the world in a manner identical to that of the Dalai Lama, we possess the
capability to alter it, nevertheless, by performing seemingly insignificant acts of kindness.
Completing tasks that may comprise of merely retrieving a fellow student s fallen pencil can have
profound effects on society, for these acts tend to spread in a similar vein to contagions. Therefore,
a single act of kindness may develop into thousands of kind actions, which can form a superior
town, city, country, and world. While not uncommon, random acts of kindness do not occur as
frequently as devastating events, so they tend to appear rarely in the media. The Huffington Post,

United States (1963) the Supreme Court found that the evidence obtained following unlawful
police conduct may still be admissible, unless the evidence was not come about in a way of poor
conduct. However, this was found excusable if the evidence acquired post the rest was irrelevant
to the police conduct. In this case, Wong Sun wrote an unsigned confession, which was established
to not be the fruit of the arrest. Therefore, the confession then was eligible to be used in trial. Toy,
another man under the suspicion of narcotics, was arrested under an unlawful warrant. The man
was searched by an unlawful warrant, this action becomes the fruit of the arrest. Hence, this was
not permitted to be used in court as incriminating evidence. Similarly, in Utah v. Strieff, Strieff was

the search of Strieff s person. The precedent case demonstrates that the original arrest was for the
traffic warrant, this causes the warrant to be the fruit of the arrest. The search proceeding the

and in the few coastal towns. This cultural ritual is one of the very few practices that are not
determined by an exclusive class system. The procedure is most commonly the girls first of many
rites of passage into adulthood. Without this ceremony, she may not be allowed to proceed further

attain a complete understanding of the procedures and place an honest and sincere effort in
understanding the cultural basis for the incident. An intelligent analysis cannot be made without
these things. A discussion towards eradicating the practice is being launched purely on the
misunderstanding and shock factor that outsiders received when they learn of the cultural ritual.
However heinous we take the practice to be, we will never understand or realize the serious
implication of not having the procedure done. What is Female Circumcision? nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;

what they found in the homelands. Buffalo was an important food, it was mostly hunted in the
fall. None of the buffalo was wasted. It was eaten and made into clothing, tipi coverings, shields,

Negative Effects Of Internet Piracy
Everyday, there are people that download content illegally. This topic of internet piracy has quickly

Even though it has become almost a daily habit for some people, illegally downloading content

The Passionate Shepherd
Marlowe s The Passionate Shepherd to His Love, and Raleigh s The Nymph s Reply to the
Shepherd, are both amazing poems that we can t help but want to compare and contrast. The sassy
Nymph who turns away the Shepherd s declare of love. The Shepherd, who offers material objects
to show his love, and the Nymph, the fair maiden who denies his feelings; the tales of unrequited
love. The Passionate Shepherd to His Loveportrays a world of love and feelings. The Shepherd
offers wondrous gifts to his love in hopes that he will capture her heart. Marlowe used soft imagery,
making the poem feel lovely and sweet. The Shepherd is seen as a man with a good heart and
appears to have good intentions. The Shepherd offers a bed of roses, and a gown of the finest wool.
And we will sit upon the rocks, seeing the shepherds feed their flocks, by shallow rivers to whose
falls melodious birds sing madrigals. In this quote, he offers her a lovely day of peace and love....

Ralph and Jack in Lord Of The Flies Essay
William Golding s Lord of the Flies is a novel about a group of boys who are lost on a deserted
island and must do what they can to survive. At the beginning of the novel, two of the boys, Ralph
and Jack, become leaders. These differences will form the main conflict in the story. The differences
will cause them to hate each other and the anger that results is a recurring part of the plot
throughout the novel. These two boys can be compared by the way they change, the reason for
their actions, and the way they use or abuse power. Both of the boys change a lot during their stay
on the island. Ralph begins the novel as a leader and role model to the other boys. But eventually,

Jack ordered that the boys put their head of the dead pig on a stick, but the boys follow him out
of fear. Essentially, Ralph changes from leader to fugitive and Jack changes from choirboy to
savage and leader. Jack and Ralph were motivated for their actions in different ways. Ralph was
motivated strictly by the hope of being rescued. Even though he called meetings and tried to
organize the group of boys to do simple things like build huts or keep the fire going so they
could be rescued or survive, the boys would go play or bathe. Ralph said to Jack В‘ And they
keep running off, you remember the meeting? How everyone was going to work hard until the
shelters were finished? (51) The only person who would listen or work with Ralph was Simon.
Unfortunately, the other boys continued to ignore Ralph s leadership throughout the novel and
eventually all turned to Jack for leadership. Jack was motivated by hunting and killing. His
obsession for this began when he was frustrated with himself for not killing the pig in the first
chapter: В‘ He snatched his knife out of the sheath and slammed it into a tree trunk. Next time
there would be no mercy (29).There would actually be no mercy from Jack from that point on.
Eventually all of the boys, except for Ralph and Piggy, turned to Jack s evil ways, even to the point
of participating in the killing of Simon. Effectively, Ralph was motivated by the hope

The Disadvantages Of Artifice
Emily Olenik December 1, 2017 Ms. Dolan AP Language The Disavowal of Artifice As a
society we are guided by false veneers and deceit. Artifice is unfortunately a prominent tactic
used in hope of gaining the respect of the public. Politicians and celebrities who we look up to
utilize artifice on a daily basis to gain our recognition and approval. Even teenagers are being
taught how to use artifice to their advantage. Chris Hedges believes that the use of artifice is a
necessary device to achieve success. In his book, The Empire of Illusion, he discusses the
appeal of artifice and how individuals become unreal and ignored if they do not utilize it. His
viewpoint is immensely untrue because this strategy causes a never ending cycle of conflict. If
we continue to feign our true appearances, we will become unable to fix societal issues we face
to today. The celebrities in the media are typically portrayed as people we should look up to and
let guide us. They use artifice to make themselves come across and trustworthy and generous,
when in reality they are just the opposite. One serious problem has surfaced this year regarding
the sexual harassment of actresses in Hollywood. Producers, directors, and other actors have been
using artifice to keep their crimes a secret from the public. One of the most noteworthy examples is
the accusations made against film executive and producer, Harvey Weinstein. Over eighty women

For the millions of years that organisms have survived in the Earth s superficial environments, they
have adapted to their surroundings in order to survive. This concept of evolution is firmly asserted
with who survives and who is left behind to perish. Many discoveries have affirmed that humans as

Summary Of The Short Story OfThe Father And Lamp At Noon
Throughout years within society, people have grown accustomed to latching on to others
characteristics and gradually learning from them. Regardless of the situation, people will naturally
gravitate toward those with traits they favor and try to recognize their own values that bring them
down. In the short stories of The Father , by Hugh Garner, and Lamp At Noon , by Sinclair Ross,
both authors clearly exemplify how one person can be influenced by another, while then creating a
better understandingof their own faults and amending themselves from those negative traits. While
among those close to them, people tend to become influenced by those same people and slowly
gain a better understanding of their traits and motivations. Consider the short story, Lamp At Noon ,
by Sinclair Ross. Paul, who had faith, dreams, and plans all invested into his farm is confronted
by his wife and her aspirations for the family. After an argument with her over whether they
should stay in the dust ridden farm or start a new in the city, Paul finally comes to an
understanding that, She looked forward to no future. She had no faith or dream in which to
make the dust and poverty less real. He understood suddenly (Ross 8). From this context, the
reader is able to visualize how Ellen s words have reached Paul, and how he is able to bypass his
wants and understand hers. Another short story that illustrates this same idea is The Father by
Hugh Garner. The character of John Purcell profoundly makes a fool of himself and his son
without even realizing the damage of his actions, and as a result, he see s that his, boy was
sobbing silently, his thin shoulders shuddering beneath his blazer. Suddenly he (John Purcell) was
ashamed by the enormity of his act, and had to prevent himself from taking his son on his knee
and comforting him as he had done when the boy was younger (Garner 75). Due to the influences
of his son s attitude toward the situation, John comes to his senses on the scene he has created and
is able to understand his son s embarrassment and shame that he s brought upon him. The short
stories The Father by Hugh Garner and Lamp At Noon by Sinclair Ross portray how one person
can not only be influenced by

Mackie s Theory Of Moral Skepticism
Moral skepticism is defined as the denial of objective moral standards is correct, and that morality
therefore lacks any real authority (Shafer Landau). The concept of objectivity plays a part in the
theory of moral standards. Objectivity is used in the sense that a subject exists without its
perception, and that one can come to the same conclusion as everyone else given the same sources
/information. An object is in existence despite of any opinions or matters, which is why this
principle is closely associated with being reality and truth. Philosopher Mackie has a specific
opinion on the ethical theory called subjectivism or moral skepticism that discusses the falsehood of
moral claims. Mackie developed the principle of subjectivism, which states that morals claims do
not exist. There is nothing in this... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Relativity is used to discuss that moral codes are diverse and differ from societies. This
argument starts with the view that moral opinions vary among many people. Since there is not
a universal agreement on values, then values can t be objective. He uses relativity in response to
cultural relativism and states that individuals and groups don t come to their values and reflect
way of life; people practice their way of life and then come to their values. Different morals
come from different ways of life instead of having different views on moral beliefs. With this
being said, if objective values aren t the reason for moral beliefs, then there is no reason to
believe in ethical claims. The argument of queerness can take form being metaphysical. The
metaphysical concept states that if there is such a thing of objective values, they wouldn t be like
anything else. If these values were to exist, they would be really queer and unusual. If objective
values did occur, one would need a unique, moral sense, but ultimately objective values can t exist

Photography Is Not Just About Taking Simple Photographs
In this generation people tend to take their photographs on their phones instead of hiring a
professional photographer to take them. Photography is not just about taking simple photographs.
Professional photographers need to understand the concept of what makes the best photographs.
Photographers must use lighting, different equipment, different types of photographs, and specific
subject matter to create unique photographs as well as how to finish and edit them. The beginning
of photographywas in 1826, when Nicephore Niepce produced the first permanent photograph
using a camera obscura. Three years later in 1829, Louis Daguerre joined partnership with
Nicephore Niepce ( Ted s Photographics The Fundamental Principles of Photography Explained.
). In 1839, years after the death of Nicephore Niepce, Louis Daguerre became the first
photographer to use silver iodide coated plates and a small box to take a photograph (Careers in
Focus 101). Motion photographs were made in 1877 using a series of still photographs to create
the illusion of motion. In 1889, Thomas Edison developed the first single unit motion picture
camera; standards that are still used today (Careers in Focus, 25). Many professional
photographers use different type of equipment: cameras, lenses, and accessories. Many
photographers use different cameras and lenses depending on the type of photograph they re going

The Problem Of Health Care
Access to health care is a key element in improving health, therefore, over the past four decades
reforming health care seems to have taken center stage. Since stepping out of the shadows, the idea
of health care as a managed competition has been evolving. The definition of the managed
competition is that of a purchasing strategy to obtain maximum value for consumers and
employers, using rules for competition derived from microeconomic principles, (Enthoven, 1993).
In a world of health care that now focuses on chronic diseases, the concept of health insurance
becomes even more important; by many seen as a human right. With the change of focus from
infectious disease to chronic disease health care executives, insurance and economic specialist
began looking at a system that has over forty years appeared to be in dire need of reorganization
and management. An ideal system would provide an efficient market as well as promote
competition among various health plans. These particular managed plans would place a value on
the cost of care as well as on the quality. With the value of money placed on the health care system
restructure would change how patients receive services from providers. In the U.S. health care
system an outline of managed competition means that a reformed system allows American s a
preference of variety, individual choice and universal coverage. This assortment of rationale would
cause providers delivering care to become more cost and quality conscious.

lying and negative images are models. Images of women in advertising lies to us completely,
eliminating the truth and reality. Models are portrayed in images as absolute flawlessness, not a

advertising manipulates by telling them who they are and who they should be by showing ideal

and powerful yet greedy lord who had done much business with Irina s father. Lord Gifre, as he
was called, was on his way to the mansion that very day. His ship was to arrive in time for an
evening meal.
Irina stared, unblinkingly, through the tiny round window in her old bedroom. The house was
always dark and chilly, so she wore a thick red cloak. Irina brushed her dolls hair as she silently
awaited Gifre s arrival. Soon, she saw the golden mast soar elegantly on the waters from a distance.
The stormy sea churned the approaching ship as Irina watched, the sparkling of jewels illuminating
the ship against the moonlight. Suddenly the silence was broken when she heard a knock on her
bedroom door.
The guest will be arriving soon, said a servant s voice from the hallway. It is time to get ready for
his arrival.
There was an empty moment of silence, and

The Framework And Statutory Frameworks
The workforce has developed rapidly over the years in relation to policy and statutory
frameworks, with an emphasis upon the national curriculum in relation to literacy. The
frameworks is influenced by political aspects by theoretical and political aspects. This has been
reflected within practice as policy brings change and implications for practitioners and
managers. Research has gone a long way to implement the revised national curriculum which
was due to the concerns raised due to the fact as a country we are falling behind on the national
league tables as we are in position 23 (DfEE, 2013), which is quite disappointing as English is
our first language within Britain, and we have made no improvements within the last three years
(DfEE, 2013). The Greeks did not just invent an alphabet; they invented literacy and literature
basis of modern thought (Blake, 2002. et al). Therefore, schooling became longer because after
an extended period of learning to read and write, children had become exposed to the literary of
culture. Pupils are now learning about the world through reading in classrooms (King, 2000). Our
view of literacy needs to be critically examined rather than accepted unquestioningly. As Tobin et
al, (1989) so fascinatingly demonstrates, our values affect our curriculum and our judgements of
children (Marsh et al, 2008, p.24). A need to bring an internal change is necessary for people to
live well in an environmentally responsible society which builds a

Analysis Of The Book Montana
I woke up in the long, 30 foot 5th wheel camper. My grandparents and I drove the camper up to
Howard Lake. Howard Lake was just 12 miles outside of Libby, and the home of several different
kinds of wildlife, ranging from tiny squirrels to wolves, moose, and bears. Just days before my
grandparents and I had arrived to the campsite, the word was out that two bearshad been attracted to
a moosecarcass. Fearing the campsite was closed, our bunch later arrived, and sure enough, it was
open. My story begins on our third day at the camp. This was just one of the several interesting
events that had occurred while in Montana. While the day was young, the wonder of what activities
might be available trekked our minds. The water seemed just too... Show more content on

There were dozens of signs of wildlife, from Mountain Lion scat, to bear scat, to racoon tracks.
Average size orange plates were nailed to several different trees along the way, and we even came
across a tree that had seemingly been struck by lightning. The forest was thick with brush and
downed sticks and logs. It was similar to a forest from Washington. If you ve ever seen The
Revenant, it s the same forest they filmed the movie in.
Soon arrived the bear. With Zebbie in the front, my grandpa second, with the gun, me behind
him, and my grandma in the back, we kept trekking through the trail. There was a fairly steep
slope to my left, and a clearing to my right. As we walked, I suddenly heard a massive clash of
two logs and the crashing and snapping of sticks. I peered up the slope to the source of the sound,
with my grandma looking the same way. My grandpa didn t hear it, as he has failing ears.
I kept searching my field of view for anything.
There s definitely something up there. It sounded big. I fretted.
Definitely. My grandma replied.
Suddenly, the voice of the bear echoed down the slope, and into our ears.
Oof! The bear bellowed deeply.
The massive, cinnamon brown Grizzly bolted across the short view in between the brush on the
hill. Trees crashed and logs banged together as it ran towards the direction we had just come. I
knew it was frightened. Even a big beast as massive as that still gets uneasy from simple loud
noises and

Committee Name: Ad Hoc on Disaster
Committee Topic: The Treatment of Nuclear Accidents
Committee Name: United Kingdom
A. Since the first major nuclear accident recorded in 1952, more than 33 serious incidents at
nuclear stations have been identified worldwide. Within the history of nuclear power, the three
major nuclear accidents are the Three Mile Island, Chernobyl and Fukushima; the Three Mile
Island incident in Pennsylvania, U.S.was safely contained overall whereas Chernobyl and
Fukushima resulted in large damage to the surrounding area as well as discharge of radioactive
content from the plant.(1)The Chernobyl incident in northern Ukraine resulted in the death of 28
plant workers as a result of thermal burns and radiation exposure in the first four months following
the accident, while Chernobyl was found to be responsible for about 7,000 cases of thyroid cancer
within individuals under 18.(2) In the event of a nuclear accident, the main concern is the release
of radioactive material, most likely from a nuclear core meltdown and a breach in the containment
of nuclear substances. These concerns have led to the utilization of procedures following an
accident; evacuation from the area of the incident to prevent contamination, taking shelter in
ventilation closed areas to avoid radiation, disposal of contaminated products as well as use of
proper medical procedures.(3)

Faint Hints Of Tranquility Analysis
The two short stories that I ve enjoyed the most have been Faint Hints of Tranquility by Shibli and
the excerpt from Midnight in Mexico by Corchado. Although these stories are fiction they come
across as intensely genuine. The sincerity in the tone of the authors brought me into the setting.
Both authors drew immensely from their own experiences, Corchado being a journalist
documenting the cartels in mexico, just like his protagonist. As well as Shibli living in palestine
with her journalist card being the only thing getting her through checkpoints. It would seem that
biographically speaking, both of these authors have lived the lives they portray in these stories.
Which makes them all the more engaging and sympathetic. Both pieces have protagonists

The Consequences Of Betrayal In The Adventures Of Ulysses
Betrayal Betrayal is the action of deception against one s country, group, or a person. This action
is both noted in novels and in the real world. The novel The Adventures of Ulysses by Bernard
Evslin describes a scene in which two men betray Ulysses by opening a bag of winds. In the real
world, a mannamed Edward Snowden betrays his country by revealing classified information he
was entrusted with. The two situations of betrayal are justified and not justified throughout the
texts they are mentioned in. In the novel, The Adventures of Ulysses, Ulysses was guarding a bag
of winds given to him by Aeolus. He stood awake day and night protecting the bag from the
wondering minds of his crew, but when his eyes gave out, two men took... Show more content on

Thus, the two men should have thought a bit more before opening the sack and delaying their
arrival to their home. Overall, even though I understand the reason the two men did their action
for, I don t accept that the men were justified for betraying Ulysses. The two men knew Ulysses
was an equitable man and he had proven many times that he was trustworthy. Two articles from
NewsEla give information about Edward Snowden and how he revealed how the American
democracy is disappearing like our privacy. He exposed the NSA by informing the population that
they were collecting Americans phone records. Nevertheless, even though he is going to face the
consequences of his actions, he had a justified reason for doing what he did. First of all, it was
revealed that the information collected by the NSA was used against citizens who were
participating in low key protests. Secondly, the government ignored terrorist information and
focused on the information of the innocent. In an article by Mark Weisbrot for NewsEla it states,
However there is a mountain of evidence that this massive data gathering is, in fact, being used
against citizens who are involved in activities that are protected by our Constitution....As a result,
they seem to have ignored the intelligence that was literally handed to them about the terrorists who
bombed the Boston Marathon in April. This indicates that the government has been eavesdropping

Essay on Dangers of the War on Terrorism
Dangers of the War on Terrorism
The President of the United State has used the phrases War on Poverty , War on Drugs , War on
Illiteracy , and the War on Hunger, when describing the problems Americans are facing. The term
war is used metaphorically to signify our willingness to devote vast resources, and immense
amounts of time to a specified problem. No one seems to have a problem with these phrases as
they do not signify our determination to die for the cause.
The Civil War, World War II, and even the Vietnam War or Conflict designates our determination to
give the lives of soldiers and spill the blood of the enemy to maintain our freedom. These real wars

It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped, and defeated.
Even this definition expands when the President continues to include every nation in every region,
is either with us or against us. From this day forward, any nation that continue to harbor or support
terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime. The president also defines our
participation in the war by committing every resource at out command every means of diplomacy,
every tool of intelligence, every instrument of law enforcement, every financial influence, and
every necessary weapon of war to the disruption and to the defeat of the global terror network. The
Presidents speech drew several ovations and was enthusiastically received, but what does it really
mean.
The portion of the War visible to U.S. citizens and the world has moved from the rural hills of
Afghanistan to portions of Pakistan, and Iraq. The world now seems posed to see who will be
identified as the next terror target. Korea, Iran, Syria, and Pakistan all have been suggested. Even if
we systematically work our way through the more obvious targets, committing our efforts in each
location, it won t stop there. Every country that

There is Only One Cleopatra
Almost every pharaoh queen was named Cleopatra, yet only one is ever thought of, Cleopatra
Thea Philopator VII, The Goddess and Beloved of her Father . Every moment of her life from 69
BCE until August 12, 30 BCE was a story larger than life, epic in scale, and over the top in its
grandeur. As the last reigning pharaoh of the Ptolemaic Dynastyin Ancient Egypt, she is
remembered for her ability to rule as a political genius and a strong female leader living in a
male dominated world despite all odds being against her. Firstly, Cleopatra grew up in the
Ptolemaic palace living a life of luxury, yet her subjects worshipped and even felt connected to
her as more than just their queen. Secondly, after Cleopatra was exiled by her incompetent
brother, Ptolemy XII, she came back with an army of mercenaries and took back Egypt to be its
sole and more qualified ruler. Lastly, Cleopatra went to any means to secure her power and to
ensure her nation s financial and political strength; therefore what started off as a strategic alliance
with Rome slowly became her dominance over most of the ancient world. Pharaohs for centuries
had put themselves on a pedestal, those in the Ptolemaic Dynasty rarely ever connected with their
subjects, but Cleopatra defied this ideology. The Ptolemies were descendants of a general in
Alexander the Great s military and therefore were aligned with Greek and Macedonian traditions.
Previously, Greek rulers and Egyptian subjects caused great division among the

Wal Mart works with it s sellers until they feel they have the best quality for their money spent
(Hoffman, W. 2006). One example, Wal Mart has an automatic recording system that is in

After notification, the store orders a re supply at the closest Procter and Gamble factory. The
product is then transported straight to the branch of the store that separates the product to go to
each receiving store. The current plan of operation between this receiving store and Proctor and

He then goes into explaining how Calvin Coolidge lived his life as president and events that
acquired while he was in office. While reading his book he stated a lot of interesting facts with
detail proving how these events took place. Al Capone was a figure in the Chicago society being
known as the great American gangster who had an illegal booze business and caused terror and
corruption in the community. Every one of the authors chapters shows the significances in each
situation he talks about. Bryson lets the readers know the histories of the prohibition, crime,
government, and politics. The Jazz Singer Al Jolson s film Talking Pictures, forever changed
motion pictures during this summer. While reading this part of the book we also find out how Al
Jolson liked urinating on people as a prank and how he wasn t that stable as a person. Following
the summer of 1927 the four most dominant bankers would meet up in an undisclosed area making
a decision that will cause an unstoppable depression. Also how the stock market was touching new
highs and the evolving of urban development. I found it interesting in how Bryson reflects on how
in the late 1920s Americans mutually recognized that Europe wasn t the leader of most significate

The Hero Of The Epic Of Gilgamesh
In the Epic of Gilgamesh , it is easy to conclude that Gilgamesh, the protagonist of the story, is the
hero. In Like Mayflies in a Stream , Gilgamesh is merely a scary person who appears in the story
here or there rather than being the protagonist. Instead, Shamhat is the main person that the story
focuses on, but the book is imprecise on one heroof the entire story. There are numerous characters
that could reflect hero aspects such as going on a quest, having another to help guide them, or
facing trials. Personally, I believe that there is no true hero in this story due to the nature that
Shamhat is a woman, who were represented badly during this time, and that Shauna Roberts did not
want to misrepresent the epic due to extreme... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the other hand, Like Mayflies in a Stream is unclear on who the hero is throughout the book.
There is Shamhat, a priestess who must face a difficult journey to find Enkidu, who also has some
traits of a hero. His birth and journey are some characteristics that may make him a hero. At the
same time, women are not viewed well in this story, which may be a reason that Roberts decided to
not have one specific hero.
During the time in Mesopotamia, where Like Mayflies In A Stream takes place, women are merely
seen as unimportant. Not only do the men see the women this way, the women continue to
believe it when they have nothing to define them. For example, when Shamhat had to travel with
Zaidu earlier in the book, she was stripped away from the objects that made her a priestess. Her
sandals were taken, her seal and face paints were gone, and her beaded sash was destroyed. Once
Shamhat realizes this, she says I am a woman without rank or identity. I am no one. (Roberts 66).
Women were constantly put down unless they were there for sexual pleasure for their husbands or
if they were a priestess of one of the God s, and it would reflect on their own self esteem and
worthiness. There were numerous instances throughout the book in which the men had demeaning
opinions towards the women. She was only a woman. She didn t understand the needs of a man like

  • 2. 283 HEY GUYS! GUYS! WE GOT TO TALK ABOUT 284! I just read it and I got a lot to talk about! Because seriously, this is quite possibly one of the most hilarious and incompetent stories I ve ever seen. Yes, Archie fans, I mean that. I knew this comic was going to be a mess after reading the summary for this, but this is ridiculous and we got to talk about everything in this, because train wrecks like this don t happen often. This issues fails in some of the most basic ways possible that if I didn t know better, I would swear this is a parody. Now I usually do analysis posts where I talk about overall problems, but this is something that needs to be experienced so we are going to talk about this scene by scene to we can enjoy this massive 5 car pileup. But before we can do that we need to talk about the first car to start this mess for a second, 283. Now I do plan to talk about 283 in more detail as it shows a lot of the problems of this comic when it comes to pacing and structure, but it s relevant to 284 as it is a massive setup for it. Not just that it is prepping for the following for issues, it s also an issue that sets up the punchline. The entire issue is dedicated to Sally, Sonic and Chip detailing what their plan is. A common clichГ©... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Now it completely misses the point of doing this that instead of it trying to show the weaknesses of the characters or to show how they weren t up to the task, this has things bad things happen because Flynn wanted bad things to happen. But that could at least be ok, it is was willing to commit to the tragedy and kept the drama intact. This comic, on the other hand, keep doing the dumbest things to undermine its own drama. Not only in scenes like Germal getting dragged off like a looney tune character and then dogged piled on to hold him down or the over the top tempting fate in the beginning, but in scenes like this where it is 3 frames over from being a ... • 4. Forest Kindergartens Research Paper Would you ever let your four or five year old roam in the forest with twenty other kids and only one overseer? Would you ever let this serve as their Preschool and Kindergarten education? Surprisingly enough, this is a style of education that is sweeping through Scandinavian countries as well as other European countries. The concept is called a Forest Kindergartenand the purpose of this is to get young children more interested in learning. Also, they aim to allow kids to develop their motor skills in a natural way instead of in a normal classroom setting. In Denmark, Forest Kindergartens have been a form of youth education for many years. Today, it is believed that close to ten percent of Danish kids go to forest kindergartens. The short documentary called Kids Gone Wild does an adequate job of informing people of what goes on in these places regularly. You can see kids climbing up thirty foot trees, sharpening wood with knives and exploring all there is that nature can offer. To an outside eye, this may seem very dangerous and that the kid really does not learn enough to become prepared (both mentally and socially) for grade school. But, the short film points out that the students actually are more motivated to learn and discover after Forest Kindergartens than they would be instead of going to a traditional kindergarten. The film showed a kid from the Forest... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But, I see our society as becoming very sheltered and very structured. I think it is important for us to start taking more risks in society and become stronger and more confident in ourselves. However, I do not necessarily think that we can completely adopt Denmark s Forest Kindergarten , I think we can put more emphasis on incorporating more importance on exposing children to nature and learn to grow on their own instead of directly teaching people ... Scramble For Africa Research Paper Joshua Childress Professor John Rowley World History Since 1500 16 November 2015 The Scramble for Africa The scramble for Africa was the fast paced invasion and division of the African continent by European powers during what is today known as the time of New Imperialism . Most people would date the start of the scramble for Africa in 1881 1882 whenthe British invaded and occupied Egypt but the roots of this movement can be traced back even earlier than that. A key moment that can be identified when talking about the roots of European conquest and conflict in Africa is the opening of the Suez Canal. The strategic importance of the Suez Canal, which opened in 1869, became almost immediately obvious to the British Empire as it opened a water way directly from the Mediterranean Sea to the Indian Ocean, reducing travel time from the home islands to colonies in The Indian subcontinent and East Asia. The Suez was so important to Great Britain that when an Arab revolt in the country caused the French to back out of a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As both the French and the British now held large colonies in Africa, Bismarck then set out to claim four large chunks of land in Africa for Germany in 1884. In the same year the King of Belgium took control of the whole of the Congo Basin. Worried that so many large powers all vying for land in the same place would cause larger scale conflicts, the European colonial powers held the Berlin West Africa Conference from 1884 to 1885. This conference helped to settle several land disputes between the European powers and throughout the next 10 years, all the major European powers with the exception of Austria and Russia would take colonies and protectorates in Africa. In the policy, the country encourages couples to voluntarily stop at two children, makes efforts to prevent unwanted pregnancies, and works to balance migration so that people entering the country as migrants do not exceed those leaving it. • 7. Passover Through Storytelling Storytelling is a common theme in the human experience. Almost all civilizations have a tradition of storytelling whether it be folk tales used to teach lessons or stories used to remember the past. Storytelling is important to Judaism as it is used to recount Jewish history and to teach new generations about the past to create a better future. Oral tradition and the Torah are used to help discuss the past. In fact, the Torah itself is storytellingin written form used to preserve history and traditions. Jewish communities also use storytelling to discuss and debate the past and how it affects life today. For example, the meanings and rules illustrated in the Torah are often discussed to determine how they relate to current issues. To do this, the older generations use storytelling and the Torah to teach the new generations about the history of the Jewish people. Stories are used to explain the world and to teach people morals and lessons so they can pass them onto their children. This plays a role in Jewish history and traditions, including Passover. Storytelling is a significant part of the significance and celebration of Passover. Storytelling is important to the meaning and celebration of Passover.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 8. In Praise Of The F Word By Mary Shelly In Praise of the F word is a short story written by Mary Shelly which demonstrates the deficiencies within the educational system. No student should be allowed to move onto the following grade just because a teacher cannot tolerate him or her in the classroom. Shelly illustrates this within the story as she tells the reader that she is in agreeance with the teacher s policy of failing her students. Because of this the reader will realize that students should put in their maximum effort in the classroom instead of diminishing their studies. Once students grow up and move onto their responsibilities in the future, the ones who took school seriously will have an easier time handling those things rather than the ones who slacked off in school. Students should not be afraid to flunk classes because it matures them and prepares them for their future, and gives them a sense of accomplishment when they pass the class. To begin, using the F word to motivate students illustrates matures them as adults and prepares them to expect anything in the future. Fred Phillips from the University of Saskatchewan stated, when planning classes, accounting faculty make choices about pedagogies, content, and instructional design that affect the difficulty of students initial learning experiences. These choices can make initial learning experiences easier and more comfortable for students, or they can make initial learning experiences more difficult and challenging (1). How a student ... The Importance Of Self-Respect To Me Self respect to me, means standing up for who you are and what you believe in, when the circumstances you are in are bringing you down, while respecting others backgrounds in the process. I feel like I have come a long way as a person, even though I am only 17 and still have a long way to go in life and lots to learn. I feel like teenage years are meant for learning who you are as a person, learning how to cope with other people, and what you want to accomplish in life. Forget about high school classes like math, language arts or history. Yes those classes matter to pass or to get a good grade in, but do they actually teach you how to be successful in life, or maybe teach you lifelong skills you will need later in life? I bet you most students would tell you no to this question. We find who we are when we get lost in the things we love doing and what we do with the opportunities we have been given. Your teenage years are all about you. You are learning on your own who you want to be and what you want to be. A lot of studies out there say that teenagers or adolescents are actually more hardworking than adults are. I believe this is true because most teenagers are involved in school, work, sports, religious activities, and many more. I feel like I fit in this group. Ever since I was 15, I feel like life has just been busy all the time (which is a good thing). This is because I am actually taking advantage of all the opportunities I have been given as a teenager. There were also many different independent films that were produced; this had an influence on American filmas well. • 13. The Church Of The Christian Church A major institution in my culture would be the Christian church. My grandmother is a Pastor at a Christian church so this church is a part of my upbringing and cultural background. The Church makes people follow certain rules called commandments. Breaking a commandment is called a sin. When you sin in the Christian religionyou are supposed to pray and repent and ask God for forgiveness. The bible and all the preachers and pastors will tell you that praying for repentance will not clear what you have done and that God will not give you certain blessings because you have sinned. This institution of my culture functions similarly to the Azande and their witchcraft because they are both used to control society. The Author also states on page five hundred fifty five that, Witchcraft is thought to be an actual physical property residing inside some individuals, who may themselves be unaware of their power. I relate this statement to some of the Christian pastors and Christian churchgoers as well that get television shows because they claim that they met God in a dream or that they died and saw and talked to God before the paramedics or doctor revived them. Another way of similarity is that of how they control society with these institutions, the Christian church and the Azande use the institutions for their followers to act accordingly or get punished. Politicians and celebrities who we look up to utilize artifice on a daily basis to gain our recognition and approval. Even teenagers are being taught how to use artifice to their advantage. Chris Hedges believes that the use of artifice is a necessary device to achieve success. Summary Of The Short Story OfThe Father And Lamp At Noon Throughout years within society, people have grown accustomed to latching on to others characteristics and gradually learning from them. Regardless of the situation, people will naturally gravitate toward those with traits they favor and try to recognize their own values that bring them down. In the short stories of The Father , by Hugh Garner, and Lamp At Noon , by Sinclair Ross, both authors clearly exemplify how one person can be influenced by another, while then creating a better understandingof their own faults and amending themselves from those negative traits. While among those close to them, people tend to become influenced by those same people and slowly gain a better understanding of their traits and motivations. Consider the short story, Lamp At Noon , by Sinclair Ross. Paul, who had faith, dreams, and plans all invested into his farm is confronted by his wife and her aspirations for the family. After an argument with her over whether they should stay in the dust ridden farm or start a new in the city, Paul finally comes to an understanding that, She looked forward to no future. She had no faith or dream in which to make the dust and poverty less real. He understood suddenly (Ross 8). From this context, the reader is able to visualize how Ellen s words have reached Paul, and how he is able to bypass his wants and understand hers. Another short story that illustrates this same idea is The Father by Hugh Garner. The character of John Purcell profoundly makes a fool of himself and his son without even realizing the damage of his actions, and as a result, he see s that his, boy was sobbing silently, his thin shoulders shuddering beneath his blazer. Suddenly he (John Purcell) was ashamed by the enormity of his act, and had to prevent himself from taking his son on his knee and comforting him as he had done when the boy was younger (Garner 75). Due to the influences of his son s attitude toward the situation, John comes to his senses on the scene he has created and is able to understand his son s embarrassment and shame that he s brought upon him. • 34. Photography Is Not Just About Taking Simple Photographs In this generation people tend to take their photographs on their phones instead of hiring a professional photographer to take them. Photography is not just about taking simple photographs. Professional photographers need to understand the concept of what makes the best photographs. Photographers must use lighting, different equipment, different types of photographs, and specific subject matter to create unique photographs as well as how to finish and edit them. The beginning of photographywas in 1826, when Nicephore Niepce produced the first permanent photograph using a camera obscura. Three years later in 1829, Louis Daguerre joined partnership with Nicephore Niepce ( Ted s Photographics The Fundamental Principles of Photography Explained. ). In 1839, years after the death of Nicephore Niepce, Louis Daguerre became the first photographer to use silver iodide coated plates and a small box to take a photograph (Careers in Focus 101). Motion photographs were made in 1877 using a series of still photographs to create the illusion of motion. In 1889, Thomas Edison developed the first single unit motion picture camera; standards that are still used today (Careers in Focus, 25). Many professional photographers use different type of equipment: cameras, lenses, and accessories. Many photographers use different cameras and lenses depending on the type of photograph they re going to take. Many photographers use the 35mm SLR (single lens reflect) camera. • 35. The Problem Of Health Care Access to health care is a key element in improving health, therefore, over the past four decades reforming health care seems to have taken center stage. Since stepping out of the shadows, the idea of health care as a managed competition has been evolving. The definition of the managed competition is that of a purchasing strategy to obtain maximum value for consumers and employers, using rules for competition derived from microeconomic principles, (Enthoven, 1993). In a world of health care that now focuses on chronic diseases, the concept of health insurance becomes even more important; by many seen as a human right. With the change of focus from infectious disease to chronic disease health care executives, insurance and economic specialist began looking at a system that has over forty years appeared to be in dire need of reorganization and management. An ideal system would provide an efficient market as well as promote competition among various health plans. These particular managed plans would place a value on the cost of care as well as on the quality. With the value of money placed on the health care system restructure would change how patients receive services from providers. In the U.S. health care system an outline of managed competition means that a reformed system allows American s a preference of variety, individual choice and universal coverage. This assortment of rationale would cause providers delivering care to become more cost and quality conscious. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Falling from here to the rocky rapids was certainly fatal, and so all the workers of the mansion kept well away from the creeping cliffs. A parentless young girl lived alone at the estate she was only eight years old and her name was Irina. She was, of course, an orphan, but the beautiful mansion was kept alive in her parents wake, at least, that was what the lord had been told, as he sailed his golden ship across the sea. For the first time in ages, it seemed, there was to be a visitor to the mansion. He was a wealthy and powerful yet greedy lord who had done much business with Irina s father. Lord Gifre, as he was called, was on his way to the mansion that very day. His ship was to arrive in time for an evening meal. Irina stared, unblinkingly, through the tiny round window in her old bedroom. The house was always dark and chilly, so she wore a thick red cloak. Irina brushed her dolls hair as she silently awaited Gifre s arrival. Soon, she saw the golden mast soar elegantly on the waters from a distance. The stormy sea churned the approaching ship as Irina watched, the sparkling of jewels illuminating the ship against the moonlight. Suddenly the silence was broken when she heard a knock on her bedroom door. The guest will be arriving soon, said a servant s voice from the hallway. It is time to get ready for his arrival. The frameworks is influenced by political aspects by theoretical and political aspects. This has been reflected within practice as policy brings change and implications for practitioners and managers. Research has gone a long way to implement the revised national curriculum which was due to the concerns raised due to the fact as a country we are falling behind on the national league tables as we are in position 23 (DfEE, 2013), which is quite disappointing as English is our first language within Britain, and we have made no improvements within the last three years (DfEE, 2013). The Greeks did not just invent an alphabet; they invented literacy and literature basis of modern thought (Blake, 2002. et al). Therefore, schooling became longer because after an extended period of learning to read and write, children had become exposed to the literary of culture. Pupils are now learning about the world through reading in classrooms (King, 2000). Our view of literacy needs to be critically examined rather than accepted unquestioningly. As Tobin et al, (1989) so fascinatingly demonstrates, our values affect our curriculum and our judgements of children (Marsh et al, 2008, p.24). As the last reigning pharaoh of the Ptolemaic Dynastyin Ancient Egypt, she is remembered for her ability to rule as a political genius and a strong female leader living in a male dominated world despite all odds being against her.
