The main character we are meant to focus on is Nazneen. Through the character of Nazneen we learn
more about characters like her father and sister. Hasina s elopement affects both Nazneen and her

Why Jefferson Davis Won The Civil War
On April 2nd, Jefferson Davis, Southern President , fled his home and the Confederate capitol,
Richmond, Virginia after burning important documents. The fire spread accidentally from the
documents to the town, destroying many blocks of the city (See map on right). Davis had a train
scheduled to leave at 8:30 pm, but it didn t leave until 11:00 pm. He went to Danville, Virginia where
he is expected to be hiding out.
Davis got warned by Robert E. Lee that the Union army was coming to Richmond. The telegram said
I advise that all preparation be made for leaving Richmond tonight . Davis previously sent his family
away to safety, showing he might have assumed this would happen. However, he didn t plan for the
