Difference Between Inductive And Guided Discovery
Introduction In this provided chapter, the teaching method is more likely to be the inductive approach
to language teaching or learning and deductive approach, or guided discovery. Deductive vs. inductive
grammar teaching There are differences between inductive approach and deductive approach. Gollin
(1998) stated that the inductive approach applied students to work out what the rules are from
examples and find out what the meanings are throughout the given examples or practices whilst the
deductive approach happened when teacher gives the explicit rules first. To be more specific, the
former refers to working from the general to more specific whereas the latter moving from specific
observations to broader generalizations. The concept of discovery techniques in Harmar (1987) is a
keeping of what inductive approach which students start with several examples and will be soon asked
to generate the rules through their experiences and examples. Upon Harmar s idea, Scrivener (2011)
prompt the concept of guided discovery which is activities that allow learners to generate their own
discoveries and explanations (Scrivener, 2005). Broadly speaking, it is a consciousness raising in
order to help learners notice how a structure works. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

used in order to explain each sub chapter clearly. Firstly, the examples in reading part will be
illustrated; second, the vocabularies and pronunciations will be practiced; after all those, the
grammatical structures will be taught explicitly, too much/many, not enough, for example. If the
teacher decided using inductive approach, the grammar part will be ignored, instead of by letting
students discuss, summarize or generate it and then give the appropriate

The Army Campaign Plan
the most important and why? Give an example of something that the Army could do to enhance
capabilities in that domain. The most important imperative of four in the Army Campaign Plan is
develop leaders to meet the challenges of the 21st century because in the future leaders will deal a
tough realistic environment and must be willing to adapt to the mission, threat or operational
environment. We must train soldiers and leaders to ensure they are prepared to accomplish the mission
across the range of military operations while operating in complex environments against determined,
adaptive enemy organizations . This is the eighth of twenty Army Warfighting Challenges enduring
first order problems, the solutions to which will improve current and future force combat
effectiveness. These challenges are reviewed and updated as needed to remain applicable for the
future force. Although the exact challenges in the future are unknown, based on increase in cyber
security intrusions, the spread of disease and terrorism on the home front, it can only be assumed that
these type of actions will increase. In this case future leaders must be trained to deal with these
occurrences. To do so changes must occur not only in training but also in policy. It does the US Army
a disservice if policies are not implemented to address the above challenges. In the JCIDS process, the
role of concepts in developing capabilities include turning visions into a more detailed description of

The African Queen Essays
THE AFRICAN QUEEN Short Summary: quot; The African Queen quot; is the tale of two
companions with different personalities who develop an untrustworthy love affair as they travel
together downriver in Africa around the start of World War I. They struggle against the climate, the
river, the bugs, the Germans and, most of all, against each other. In the course of much misery, they
develop love and respect for each other. Detailed Summary: In September 1914, the German
occupying forces hold East Africa. The story starts in a small village that is overlorded by a stuffy
British missionary, Reverent Samuel Sayer and his spinster, prudish sister Rose Sayer, who is utterly
devoted to her brother. Rose is also very naive and pious. She ... Show more content on

In front of the lake, the Germans occupy a fort at Shona. And all along the way there are many rapids.
Rose, who is now resolute and strong willed, wants to strike back against the Germans. She plans to
destroy the German warship by using the explosives that are still on board of the quot;African Queen
quot;. At first, Charlie doesn t want to support that patriotic plan. Rose tries to change his views by
accusing him permanently of not helping their country. That shows effects and Charlie agrees to her
plan. They start their travel down to the river. At first they are polite and tolerant to each other. After
Charlie has drunk his gin, he suggests that they each could take a bath in the river. During the night, a
rain storm soacks Charlie, who must sleep on the open deck, while Rose sleeps on the lower deck.
After they passed a series of dangerous rapids, Charlie expects that Rose will think over her plan, but
it turns out that this was not correct. On the contrary: Rose wishes more dangerous rapids because she
wants to learn how to steer the quot;African Queen quot;. She is developing a kind of love for the
quot;African Queen quot;. After some drinks Charlie reneges on his promise to destroy the German
warship. He says that it is an absurd idea because the fort at Shona has sharpshooters and snipers,
which they have to pass during the day. Rose accuses him of being a liar and a coward. Charlie gets
nervous and begins to sing. He takes one

Comparing Bob Marley s Life And Music
Bob Marley Music is life, music is value, music means everything to race, family nation. All of that
can get to the soul, saving peoples life even. Bob Marley gave us all of that, he was an inspiration to
everybody. Gaining confidence while giving it. He was unique with his music, taking words from the
streets he was from while focusing on the difficulties of black people worldwide. This man gave us
confidence and got us to look at the world in a different way and that right there is why we should
recognize Bob Marley for everything he done. Bob would forever remain the unique product, with his
poetic worldview as well as his music by the tough ghetto streets. His overnight smash played an
important role in Jamaican music circles. Which made it possible for him to write raw for and about
people of the west Indian slums. In 1970 Marley s ongoing distillation of reggae forms blossomed into
and electrifying rock influenced many people that made him an international superstar. Bob

Lust In Romeo And Juliet
In one of the most highly renown love tragedies written in history, Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet
explains the highly debated notion of love at first sight through the relationship between the two star
crossed lovers , Romeo and Juliet. Though many can argue that this relationship between the two is
only for lust, it is clearly shown in the play that the family rivaled couple is truly in love. Through
Juliet s decisiveness and maturity, Juliet shows that her relationship with Romeo is not about lust, but
about true love. First, Juliet experiences her first moment of true love when she meets Romeo at the
Capulet Masquerade. In the beginning of the play, Juliet is seen as a young, inexperienced teenager
not ready for love. As she meets

Visual Aesthetics
Part One: Visual Aesthetics Essay The work of art I chose is a sculpture by Antonio Raggi which is
located in the church of Santi Domenico e Sisto, in Rome. I think it gives meaning to the story by
giving you a physical work that expresses all of the thoughts and emotions the characters are feeling.
The piece shows Mary on her knees in front of Jesus desperately reaching towards him, probably to
prove to herself that he is really there in front of her, while Jesus seems to be gesturing with his

Mary is talking with a man she assumes is a gardener asking him questions, instead of answering he
speaks her name, causing Mary to instantly recognize who she thought was a gardener as instead
being Jesus. Why did Mary not recognize him until she heard his voice? This is because, according to
Nancy because she believes that which she hears. Some other characters in the story put their faith in
what they saw, the disciple John sees an empty tomb and based on what he sees is able to believe that
Jesus has risen from the dead. However, Mary Magdalene could not place her faith in what she saw
like others could. When she saw the empty tomb with the discarded bandages she still didn t believe
that Jesus could be alive, and even when Jesus himself was standing before her she was still unable to
believe. What triggered Mary to come to the understanding that Jesus was alive was not sight, but
sound. When she heard his voice she instantly knew that it was him before her and not the gardener
she had believed him to be. After she knew it was him she called out to Jesus to show him that she
believed. She used her voice to show him that she has believed based on that which she can hear.

Summary Of The Passionate Shepherd To His Love
The Seducing Shepherd
The Passionate Shepherd to His Love poem is a poem that portrays the basic romanticism of the
country living which describes the nature of the environments and is very sentimental. Christopher
Marlowe s poem is showing the best fantasy of ordinary romance that would be much better felt in the
countryside other than the urban side of the country. Nature is of the essence. The Nymph s Reply to
the Shepherd poem, on the other hand, is based on how he perceives The Passionate Shepherd to His
Love. Raleigh has a different perception of the nature romantics; he presents a contrast in his poem.

Breeding Purebred Dogs
The Negative Effects of Breeding Purebred Dogs Dog breeders breed purebred dogs. Standards for
dog breeds and qualifications for a dog to be considered purebred are set by kennel clubs. Kennel
clubs, such as the American Kennel Club, United Kennel Club, and the Kennel Club (UK), are
organizations that make money by registering dogs as purebred. Some people might want a purebred
because only purebreds can compete in most dog shows, which are sponsored by kennel clubs. Others
might think a purebred will be healthier than a mutt, which is a dog not bred from a specific line of
dogs, and kennel clubs won t register. However, breeding purebred dogs can result in health problems

If people really want a dog that is considered purebred, kennel clubs like the AKC need to change
standards for dog breeds to encourage healthy dogs, but the only way that is going to happen is if their
is a public push for it. It has happened before. In 2008, a documentary called Purebred Dogs Exposed
was televised in Great Britain. It was critical of the Kennel Club, the British equivalent of the AKC,
and showed purebreds with a range of health problems. The documentary showed that the 2003
champion of the country s most prestigious dog show, Crufts, was a Pekingese who had to be
photographed sitting on ice blocks because his flat face made his breed so prone to overheating. The
film also showed pictures of certain breeds in the early 20th century compared to pictures of the same
breeds today, showing how selective breeding had changed the dogs in the past century. For example,
it showed the lengthened the back of the dachshund, rounded the skull of the bull terrier, and the
almost frog like stance of the german sheperd. According to the documentary, vererinary fees for
purebred dogs were costing British owners 10 million pounds a week. In response to the documentary,
the Kennel Club commissioned an independent study led by Cambridge University professor emeritus
Sir Patrick Bateson. The resulting report largely confirmed the documentary s findings, which
concluded that inbreeding, selecting for extreme characteristics, and the practices of mass breeding
facilities known as puppy mills were negatively impacting dog welfare (The Purebred Paradox Part 2).
Since then, Britain s Kennel Club

Descriptive Essay About My New House
I looked back at my house, the green peeling paint on the door, the ripped screen door, the huge
window at the top of the house, from which you could see into my room, and I only had one thought,
this is no longer my home. I tore my gaze away from the house and entered the car. The floor had so
much of our boxes and suitcases, I was forced to lift my feet so I could fit. My neighbors weren t
home yet, so I wasn t able to say goodbye to them. I wished they were there. I d always been really
close with my neighbors. They took care of me when my sister was born, and waited for my grandpa
to take me to the hospital. I was especially close to the neighborhood kids; ever since I could talk they
came over almost every week. I wondered if my new neighborhood would be like this. The engine
vroomed to life and away from the beautiful, old house we went. In less than ten minutes, we arrived
at my new house. The front was undeniably gorgeous. The grass was not the yellowish brown brought
on from the drought, instead it was a lively green that I had dreams about running in. The fall leaves
around the trees enhanced the feeling of Christmas soon to come and the stairs leading up to the front
door were clean. They had no muddy footprints that I was so used to seeing on my concrete. I walked
up the steps slowly. I had a half witted hope that if I moved slow enough I d end up back at the Azusa
house. I didn t move slow enough. I walked through the doorway and into a corridor type area

Slut-Shaming In Puritan Society
Visualize living in a society where slut shaming occurs every day and someone s mistake is publicized
to the point that everyone knows what happened. Some people would believe this would be referring
to the Puritan society that existed during the 1600 s, but unfortunately, this is common situations that
appear in today s society. A famous person s error can show up on social media, covers of magazines,
and every talk show throughout America. For example, recently the break up of the beloved Brad Pitt
and Angelina Jolie appeared everywhere in less than a day. The breakup sparked news on twitter, talk
shows such as Wendy Williams, and prevailed to be the lead story on every tabloid by the following
day. Even though our society did not devise ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Our society uses one of the Puritans traditions as entertainment for others. For example, the current
society has established specials that air on Comedy Central called Roasts , where a celebrity is
ridiculed by other celebrities. The first Comedy Central roast was aired on August 10th, 2003 and
Denis Leary was ridiculed on stage for the viewing of millions of people. Roasts have been around as
far back as 1904 where the Friars Club held annual roasts. Their main motto was We only roast the
ones we love . At first, roasts were taken lightly and people would just have innocent fun with friends
and family. When Comedy Central started airing roasts it changed the game. Roasts went from being
innocent fun to making a mockery of a celebrity. Even though the Puritans used the scaffold to
generate a mockery of a plebeian, it still happens today. When Hester was on the stage the
townspeople scorned her for her mistake. She left that day feeling dreadful, as a result of, the words
from the townspeople were so cruel and in 2016 it is still tolerable. In this day and age, it is accepted
to hire people to insult others to gain a laugh from other people. This society accepts one of the
Puritans traditions to such an extreme that it is broadcasted for millions of people to observe. The only
element that has changed from the 1600 s to today is that technology is so advanced it allows
everyone to find enjoyment off this

Biography Report On Isaac Newton
PHYSICS REPORT Melissa Kouamo Physics 2425 Dr. Lee Estep Fall 2016 BIOGRAPHY REPORT
ISAAC NEWTON Among all the scientists I have had a chance to learn about, one of the famous is
known as Isaac Newton, born in 1642 and deceased in 1742. Generally recognized as a physicist, he is
proudly known for his work in a lot of domain such as mathematics, optics and motion which are all
parts of physics. Born prematurely on Christmas day, he was fatherless and barely three years old
when his mom left him as his maternal grandmother s to get remarried and build a second family:
challenging childhood but full of promises. Ten years later his mother Hanna, came back in
Woolsthorpe, his natal town after the dead of her second husband. Despite her long absence, Newton
was still denied of his mom s attention, thus a great contribution to his complex character. Newton s
childhood was anything but happy, and throughout his life he verged on emotional collapse,
occasionally falling into violent and vindictive attacks against friend and foe alike. After his mother
returned to the town, he was forced to quit school and become a farmer, duty that he fortunately failed
to fulfill. This failure led him back to King s school at Grantham where he prepared his entrance to
Trinity College at Cambridge. The bigger challenge was to overcome the farmer live in profit of a
fructuous student life. His life therefore changed when he left Woolsthorpe for Cambridge University.
Little is known of Newton

In this essay I will discuss the two approaches in relation to my personal growth and counselling

Heinz Kohut created the Self Psychology integrative model. He believed there are three strong needs
which has to be met for a person to be fully developed. First is the need to be mirrored , then the need
to idealize, and the last is the need to be like others.
The need to be mirrored is called the grandiose exhibitionistic. Children need to be shown by one or
both parents that they are special, wonderful and wanted, and it is a delightful to be around them all
the time and they are important too. They can do this by expression, tone of voice and simple gesture.

Examples Of Acting Rightly By Tao Te Ching
1(A). The theme that I chose that runs throughout Tao Te Ching is acting rightly (right action). Acting
rightly is a process that everybody does but we don t recognize it. We all, at some point, have helped
people who were less fortunate than us. Whether if that was buying homeless people food or donating
blood in order to save people s life. Why I said that acting rightly is a process is because it takes time.
One cannot call himself or herself a righteous person when they only did right one time. It takes
multiple good deeds for one to become a good person. This must be a coincidence because acting
rightly in Tao Te Ching reminds me of an Aristotle quote. In it, he says, We do not act rightly because
we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we
repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit. This quote perfectly sums up acting rightly.
In order to become a good person, one must repeat their good actions so that it becomes a habit. Not
do good things when they feel like it and ignore it the rest of the time. One must be the same person in
the dark as they are in the light. When one acts rightly, their actions come from their heart. This means
that they did it expecting nothing in return. Most people when they help others, they always expect
something in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I agree with almost everything that this theme has to offer. I do believe that acting rightly is a good
moral and that everyone should have it. I believe that everybody should put the needs of others before
theirs. However, there is one thing that I disagree with. And that is how can one differentiate what is
wrong and what is right. A good example of this would be Robinhood. As the story goes, Robinhood
robs the rich and give to the poor. What if the rich were the poor but they d work their way up to the
top? Isn t he ruining all of the hard work they put in? Is he wrong for his actions? Or is he

recording space such as the vocal booth and the drum booth. There are several things that these rooms
share in common; these include; a line of sight, isolation, connectivity, mechanical system, and
adaptive lights among others. However, each room is designed in a special and creative way and
unique in its own.
Studio Outline
The entrance of the studio is fixed with an airlock. There are two doors at the airlock section, one
leading to the live room and the other one leading to the control room. Manipulation and recording of
sound are done in the control room. Right beside the live room (studio), there is a drum room. The
drum room has been sealed from the live room to avoid penetration of sound. The control room is
placed at a central place where it borders all other rooms except the drum room. This is because it
serves as a central space where large physical facilities, as well as physically dispersed services, can
be controlled and monitored. Inside the control room, there is a Console whose function id to mix
sound. The room also has an effect rack whose function is to reflect sound. At the back of the room,
there are bass traps. They are acoustic energy absorbers which are designed to trap low frequency

School Cafeteria Food Essay
Have you ever tasted school cafeteria food? I don t think you would want to. In school story books, do
you have characters saying that the food tasted good at school cafeterias? Nope. Why is this? Cafeteria
food is often cheap, bought in bulk, high in calories, malnutritious, and microwaved. Student polls and
opinions prove this. Therefore, this leads to a suggestion: Healthier, tastier foods and a better,
advanced lunch system should be implemented. First of all, students aren t motivated to eat unhealthy,
not tasty food. If you observed students buying lunch in the cafeteria, you don t often see them buying
these kinds, but not limited to, foodstuffs: burritos (which are just beans wrapped in tortillas), burgers
(meat slapped on two ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A simple salad bar and healthier, tastier foods (such as soup, sandwiches, pasta, etc.) would be the key
to flourishing and happy or happier students. On the other hand, you may be thinking, $3.75 $4.75 is
cheap for a school lunch , Who would pay for it? , or If it s good enough for school standards, then it
MUST be healthy . $3.75 $4.75 is not cheap with the economy failing and families having to stretch
their dollars. About a year ago, the lunch was $2.50. If a student bought a $4.75 lunch every day for a
month, about thirty days, the total would be $142.50. Multiply that by twelve months and it is $1,710
a YEAR. Compared to the $900 a year with the $2.50 meal, lunch prices ARE pretty darn expensive.
Secondly, if enhanced foods and lunch system were implemented, some might say it would take a
huge amount of money to actually start the project. However, if tax dollars are enough to pay for
billion dollar roads, then it s enough to start a respectable lunch system. A portion of the tax dollars
could be used instead of it all going to highway and road construction. Finally, the food may fit school
standards, but it may not be such a good choice. Most people eat 2,000 to 2,500 calories a day,
depending on their needs. How healthy could a tortilla with beans, or a piece of meat slapped between
two slices of bread, be? Not to mention the amounts of saturated fat, trans fat, and salt! If you checked

3.0 MANAGERIAL FUNCTIONS
It is very difficult to define what managers do in an organization; this is primarily because they are so
many types of managers who perform different function in differentorganisations. However they are a
number of activities are all managers must perform no matter what the type or size of the company in
what of part of the business they work. Henry Fayol, a French Mining engineer was the first to
outlinethe four basic functions that every manager performs on a daily basis. The manager might be
the president of a multi cooperation organization, or the dean of students at a university or even a
supervisor of a water utility company. All will do the four basic functions.

3.1 Planning
A successfulorganisation is the one that has a clear plan (Quinn 2010). Planning, which is the first of
the four basic and the primary function of management is setting goals and deciding how to achieve
them, or as (Benowitz 2001) puts it, these are stepsthat involves mapping out exactly how to achieve a
particular goal . Every manager needs to set up goals in advance for theorganisation or department he
or she is responsible for and decide best ways and means of achieving those goals. For instance, this

Artifice Analysis
The most essential skill in political theater and a consumer culture is artifice, said by Chris Hedges.
Do we usually get lied to? Or are we really hearing the truth? In most cases, Politicians do lie, but that
doesn t mean that they all do. If a Politician does lie, they usually get caught up in the act. Or in other
words they get caught in a scandal.Artifice is a problem because it s a kind of way of tricking people.
Such as involving lies, or white lies, which is the truth, but not the whole truth. It is important because
we, the people, deserve the right of the truth. No one likes to be played around by lying. People may
think artifice is not an essential skill, but it is because without it we wouldn t listen to any other person
s opinion for a right. Or in other words, some people don t know what they want, and they would

It is the skill of artifice that helps them. They use a personal narrative. Yet sometimes their narrative is
irrelevant from their actual life. The quality of lying, but yet make it seem like it is true, helps out on
what a person wants. Such as a political speaker. Political leaders, who use the tools of mas
propaganda to create a sense of aux intimacy with citizens, no longer need to be competent, sincere, or
honest, which basically means that political speakers, or any kind of speaker, need certain skills to be
able to get other people s attention. Without these skills, perhaps we wouldn t have the rights we have
now, or other things. A way that a politician can use artifice is saying or promising something to their
people, preferably their followers, then not completing what ever they said they would do. Suddenly
the followers either get upset, and want to have a protest or forget about it. This all matters because
many politicians can use artifice in many different ways. It s all up to the person on what they want to
say. Also how they want to express

International Criminal Court Should Obey Politics
POLSCI 120W Final paper Why the International Criminal Court should ignore politics? The
International Criminal Court (ICC) should ignore and be above politics to form legitimacy in future.
First, the ICC is a legal institution made by sovereign governments have different political view,
interests, and purpose to protect. Its job is to support universal rules of law and act fairly with ignoring
political pressures. In the ICC, the prosecutors decide when warrants should be issued and judges
make final decisions and check the political actions. However, it is still difficult for the ICC to
challenge a powerful state because of political pressure. The ICC is a court under the Rome Statues. It
depends on States and other powerful organizations to enforce decisions which bring concerns. Also,
it is also possible that political organization will sometimes act as difficulties to justice processes. The
concern is it can possibly leads the leaders to ignore or refuse appeals from the ICC. Also, they might
use the ICC s legitimacy for their own political purposes which is why USA does not support the ICC
currently. And it is possible that the states refuse to give necessary information from the ICC which
tries to stop the mass violence. This issue delays in issuing warrants. ... Show more content on

It is true that all courts have their own different political views. For this reason, the ICC should
maintain the rules while ignoring politics in making decisions. The leaders/perpetrators who are guilty
of international crimes are unlikely to stop their violence until there is a physical force. Without any
force, the violence will most likely escalate. If they see that the ICC cannot ignore political pressure,
they will become even more motivated to rise their commission or they will try to escape from the
situation by being more political. In order to prevent uneven justice, the ICC should ignore the

Aristotle s Pre-Islamic Theory
The theory of how common illnesses were sent from the gods as a form of punishment along with how
healing as a gift used to be a common theory in the Ancient Greek times. Little by little this theory
changed over time with the help of Greek philosophers Empedocles, Aristotle, and Hippocates. The
hurmoral theory developed in Ancient Greese around 470 400 B.C, by a Greek Physician Hippocates.
This theory developed as time passed and our understanding of how the world worked. It also had a
significant influence on modern day medicine. By this theory developing throughout the ages it can
easily be described as the bench mark of human anatomy and the medical profession that we now
know today. The influence and development in Greek and Islamic Medicine and the culture was
amazing.
The Greek Philosopher Empedocles is a part of the Pre Socratic (philosophers before Socrates). He is
best recognized for describing the four building blocks that construct the universe. His way of
explaining elements were depending on the mixture and the combination of fire, air, earth, and water

History And Roles Of The Counseling Profession
Many counseling professions have been cultivated out of a gap in traditional subjects. Psychology is a
great example of how a subject can develop into multiple branches like sociology or philosophy or
counseling. Counseling in particular is a relatively new branch compared to the other social sciences
and had a complex history on its path to becoming a respectable career. Despite its humble
beginnings, individuals still benefit from counseling. Counseling specifications allow a multi team
approach which increases the offerings to clients and promotes the client on the road to wellness.
Combining multidisciplinary professions together in a team can foster an even better result for a
client, allowing the gaps in disciplines to be covered. This paper will review the history and roles of
the counseling profession and describe ways to collaborate in a multi disciplinary team.
History of Counseling
Counseling evolved out of early vocational guidance, commonly called guidance and social reform.
Frank Parson is considered the founder of guidance (Gladding, 2012). Parson emphasized the concept
of prevention which is one of the key philosophies of the counseling profession, along with wellness
and resilience (Gladding, 2012). Myers (1992) defined prevention as positive developmental growth
and change as the key in maintaining mental health. Wellness is also considered a major branch of the
counseling profession and is described by Myers and Sweeney (2008) as a state of being

More precisely, we discussed how these norms led to Firdaus demise.
Previously, I did not consider the norms of Egyptian society in relation to Firdaus downfall, but after
learning about the history and culture of Egypt, I understand how these norms solidified her fate. The
historical oppression of women in Egypt explained how oppression became a cultural norm. For
centuries, women had been oppressed and treated as second class citizens. I learned that in the mid
seventies, El Saadawi wrote about feminism and female genital mutilation, which were taboo topics.

The most commonly used method to kill his victims was strangulation, although some were suffocated
or hung. Rader would often strangle his victims just to the point where they would pass out, allowing
them to regain consciousness many times before he would finally kill them. Rader would become
sexually aroused at this process and would masturbate onto the bodies once deceased. Taking

Describe the Basis of Feminist Criminology
The Basis Of Feminist Criminology Feminist criminology was created out of the realization that
criminology from its beginnings focused on the male criminal and the unlawful acts they committed.
When in the fact it could be argued female crime was studied as far back as 1800 s, female criminal
activity, its causes and the effects in which it placed on public opinion were often disregarded. Over
the past 20 years, there has been a significantly different approach in how females are being dealt with
inside the criminal justice system. This has been the result of a more broadening law enforcement
effort, stringent medication sentencing laws, and post conviction limits to reentry that would greatly
influence females. While there seems to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The response to the way women are dealt with, radical scholars agree that women turn to substance
abuse and criminal activity. Marxist women s activist conjecture bridges patriarchy into the elements
of free enterprise when female offenders are sentenced for property or sexual criminal activity.
Socialist feminism strives to create equal roles for women as, child bearers, servants, and
homemakers, so they can assume their licit place in society. Socialist feminism is a two part theory on
the basis that it increases the scope of Marxist s theories and the radical women s activist theory .The
extent of perception in women s activist criminology focuses on merging both society and private
sectors of a woman s livelihood and an end to the financial and the social continual pattern of a
woman s abuse.
2. Do you believe that this philosophy explains the cause of criminal behavior in women? I believe
that this train of thought addresses the cause of criminal behavior in women because many viewpoints
that fall under the umbrella of feminism are given as different causes of criminal conduct in women
.Feminist criminology lacks evidence of a woman s crime. Women s activist theories not only strive to
elucidate criminal wrong doing, exploitation and additionally join together theory with practice to
create more impartial answers for the crime at hand.

The Method Of Second Language Acquisition
Krashen used the natural approach to explain the process of second language acquisition. Krashen s
model basically consists of two parts. In the first part, the language acquisition device the
comprehensible input triggered and this starts children s language development. This process is
affected by the anxiety factor, which he called affective filter. In the second part, the acquired
language combined with the intentional learning result in the language output. In this process, the
intentional learning monitors students output. Specifically speaking, his model proposes that a low
affective filter or a low anxiety is good for children s acquisition. He further believes that the learned
knowledge hinders our acquisition and needs to be avoided (Brown, 2014). This argument indicates
that teachers had better avoid such monitoring as correcting students responses since it hinders
students acquisition. Also, Krashen argues that it is good for children to acquire the language
subconsciously. Besides, he asserts that children follow a natural order to acquire the rules of the
language. In Bialystok s model classified knowledge into explicit linguistic knowledge, implicit
linguistic knowledge and general knowledge. Bialystok s model consists of four learning strategies,
which are formal practicing, functional practicing, inferencing and monitoring ((O Malley, J. M.,
Chamot, 1990). In this theory, formal practicing refers to the practice of the rules of language. And

The Pros And Cons Of Animal Testing
Animal testing started back in the late nineteenth century when french biologist, Louis Pasteur, [7]
tested anthrax on sheep to show how important vaccines really are. Despite the advantages that may
have come from animal testing, it is an extremely controversial topic to this very day. People prefer to
look at animals as they would humans; something with emotions, feelings, and even similar body
parts. Based on PETA, over one million animals are tested on each year in U.S. laboratories [1] and
what is being tested on them can range from cosmetics to household cleaners. Although the companies
that are involved in the testing are being blamed for the countless brutality to animals, it is being done
for the safety of humans. Is animal testing really necessary or is it doing more bad than good for
business?
The testing of animals is use of animals in experiments and development projects usually to determine
toxicity, dosing and efficacy of test drugs before proceeding to human clinical trials. according to
Biology Online (definition) [2]. Let s say a cosmetic company comes up with a new lipstick formula.
Before it undergoes a human clinical trial and then hits the market, it will be brought to labs. From
there, it will be tested on animals in order to find out if it is safe to be sold to people. Rats, mice,
rabbits, and guinea pigs are used to test various cosmetics for skin sensitization, corrosion, eye
irritation, and everything in between. Once testing is complete,

A Brief Note On The Japanese Religion Of Shintoism
Larry Guindine
World History
Mr. Alschen
September 8, 2014
Documentary Questions:
1. People tended to worship nature gods such as spirits of the earth, sky and river. As the human
communities matured and developed, local, tribal and ancestral spirits became the center of focus in
their beliefs and religious life. This leads to inferring that people did not understand natural
phenomena and thought it was a punishment for their behavior from the deities. People thought
natural phenomena was able to change based on their relationships with the deities.
2. People created a sense of community and working together. Eventually, some people began to
question their belief systems through communication and realized that they can focus more on
relationships among human beings. This led to both uniformity, dispute and separation, among people
who had different views on religion and human interaction.
3. The Japanese religion of Shintoism is most closely associated. The emperor even had to renounce
his divinity of the descendant of the sun line at the end of World War II since this religion associated
itself with the whole population of Japan, not just the royalty. To this day, many Shinto rituals are
practiced in Japan, such as wedding ceremonies at shrines and methods of protecting the people from
pollution, such as cleansing themselves with water before entering the gates of a Shinto shrine, are
still practiced.

Color Purple Themes
Alice Walker s highly regarded and controversial novel, The Color Purple, has been the rage of film
circles since its big screen release in 1985. Steven Spielberg, director, chose Alice Walker s story of an
impoverished rural black community in the early twentieth century American South as his vehicle for
dramatic affirmation from his distorted reputation as a creator of popular youthful fantasies.
Consequently, he chose the perfect story for this transformation. The Color Purple depicts the tragic
lives of a dirt poor African American South and the dirt poor morals and values that coincided with
this community. Specifically, the film and novel track the life Celie and those closely surrounding her.

Revolt Of 1381 Research Paper
The Peasants Revolt of 1381 was an important uprising in much of England during the medieval time
period. It is also known as Wat Tyler s Rebellion and The Great Rising. It was one of the first popular
uprisings in England, and over very important issues. The feudal system, serfdom, the Statue of
Laborers (originally spelled Labourers), little to no pay, tithes, poll tax, and the general unfairness of
the time led to tensions, and action being taken. The feudal system did not have balance, and left much
of the population unhappy.

was owed. Baker was then to be arrested, and the villagers got violent. News of the revolt spread
quickly in the area. Several groups of revolting peasants travelled around, village to village, spreading
the word. A leader came out among the rebels, names Wat Tyler. Eventually, they began to march to
London. When they got there, they wreaked havoc. They ransacked parts of the city, burning some
along the way. King Richard decided to meet with the rebels, out of the city. Here, rebel leader Wat
Tyler told the peasants terms to the king. He said that price of living was to be reduced. Also, the poll
tax to be removed, there were to be pardons for all rebel, and that peasants would have rights and
privileges. While this happened, a group of peasants took advantage of the situation. They raided the
Tower of London and beheaded some people there. The king could not let that go by unanswered.

As a result, even tortuous and lengthy tracts may be monitored at any level. Most times, no contrast

Ureterovaginal fistulas can be detected by means of transvaginal ultrasound, as the distal third of the

with a burden to the patient s health. We should bare in mind, that color Doppler or 3D imaging can
shed light on the characteristics of the fistula, such as inflammation of the tissues and edema. Without
a doubt, that information can be very helpful for the timing of the procedure, whereas, serial

even during the physical examination, just next to the examination bed with minimal stress to the
patient. Last but not least, ultrasonography uses different probes, but all may be used, if required,

Cost Leadership: Under low cost leadership strategy, SWA emphasize on low cost fares offer. SWA
has tried to price the same fares within a state a method to strengthen its position as low cost leader in
airline industries. This strategy can be achieved through simplifying their fare system by less relying
on artificial intelligence and eliminates unnecessary costs. Another step to keep the fares low, SWA

unnecessary cost in various methods, such as reusing passengers boarding pass and eliminating
intermediaries costs (i.e. travel agents). Moreover, SWA is equipped with exceptionally productive
work force to support this strategy. For instance, the pilots and flight attendants even go as far to help
cleaning aircraft and checking in passengers at the gate.
Differentiation: SWA make a great distinction by delivering outstanding services to their customers.
To actualize this, SWA is extraordinarily selective for recruitment. SWA recruits applicants that

Understanding Weaknesses Of The Four Day Workweek
Understanding Weaknesses of the Four Day Workweek
Four day workweek, like the name suggests, calls for replacing the five eight hour days with four ten
hour days without changes in hourly earnings or weekly earnings. Therefore, the same number of
hours of work and leisure are provided at the same earnings. The concept of a compressed workweek
is not new, even if it is not the norm for most jobs. Proposals to reduce weekly hours of work, a major
concern of American labor in the early years of century, are again a serious concern to many people.
The 2008 National Study of Employers, released by the Families and Work Institute, found that 38
percent of US firms allow a compressed workweek for some employees. Eight percent permit it for all
or most employees (Gardner). When a growing number of employers are considering converting to a
compressed four day workweek, it is important to understand positives and negatives of the new work
schedule, to analyze a specific example of company that have failed in converting to the new policy,
and to understand additional factors to consider before the implementation of the new policy.
An advantage brought to employers is that the four day workweek helps companies save money
incurred on daily operation. When employees cram 40 hours of work into four days, companies can
save energy bills by closing for an extra one day per week. For example, in 2009, Utah became the
first state to institute an official four day workweek for all state

It lined the back end of the stage and was a holding place for props and sets. The Skēne could hold
things like cranes and other set decorations, although it is not really clear if they had a lot of props for
the set.
Xanthias Xanthias is a character that appears in Aristophanes comedy, The Frogs. He is the slave to
Dionysus and also sort of like a companion/advisor. The whole comedic aspect of the story hinges on
Xanthias being smarter than Dionysus and constantly correcting the stuff he does. A great example is
when he and Dionysus keep swapping the Heracles costume and good things keep happening to
Xanthias.
Silenus Silenus, the father of the satyrs, appears in the Euripides satyr The Cyclops. He lives on an
island of Cyclops and helps Odysseus and his men when they come ashore. A quote in the Cyclops

Two Unlikely Friends in Beverly Cleary s Book The Mouse...
The bonds and relationships that develop between humans and animals are much like human to
human. This relation is prevalent in the novel The Mouse and the Motorcycle. In the story, a
relationship between Ralph, a mouse, and Keith, a boy, develops. The two entities strike an impressive
friendship that resembles that of two human best friends that have known each other for years.
The book starts out when Keith and his family go on a vacation across the United States. Eventually
the expedition led the family to California where Keith would meet a friend he would never forget.
Ralph, being a mouse, was extremely hesitant to venture out into the inn room in which Keith was
staying. Nevertheless, after Ralph noticed Keith s impressive ... Show more content on

Beverly Cleary, in her novel The Mouse and the Motorcycle, explicates that two living creatures of
completely different species can come to unite and form a phenomenal friendship.
In her story, Beverly Cleary shows that true friendship is not limited to members of the same species.
She uses a boy, a mouse and a similar interest to show friendships can grow from the most unlikely
sources. Just as in the real world, Cleary uses an intrigue to introduce two completely different worlds.
Men and women, and animals, often tend to gravitate to things that are captivating to them. Past
affiliations and even general curiosity are a few things Cleary used to help begin this friendship. Ralph
living in the inn for years would have seen countless children playing with their toys, but it was not
until Keith that he would venture out unto a thrilling undertaking that a friendship would develop. The
two beings shared an interest, in this case Keith s prized motorcycle, which led to them crossing paths
and becoming best friends.
The relationship itself helps Cleary drive the point home. Why exactly is it mouse? Is it because a
mouse is small enough to ride a motorcycle? Then why not a hamster? A squirrel? Cleary uses a
mouse due to its fiend nature . Man has given mice a tarnished reputation. This then should make it
tough for a friendship to develop between the two. Cleary demonstrates that friendships can develop
from the weirdest of pairs. Not many would consider a mouse as a

Environmental Issues in Poland
The environmental issues in Poland have improved since 1989 due to the major decline in heavy

Major trade and other wide ranging economic reforms have led to a vigorous show of the Polish

by one quarter above pre transition levels and that GDP per capita averaged US$4,000 in 1999. The
report notes however that rural poverty and regional expansion remain key problems.

Analysis Of Samuel Huntington s The Clash Of The...
Samuel Huntington, the author of the clash of the civilisations believes that the World will eventually
divide in accordance with cultural lines, and not political lines. According to Huntington, the thriving
East Asian and Muslim societies will soon challenge Western dominance, and the United States being
the World leader will need to reevaluate its policies on foreign invention and domestic immigration to
remain a major player. During the Cold War, the world was divided into the First, Second and Third
Worlds. Huntington views these ties as insignificant now and states that the remaking of the World
order will be based upon cultural similarity. The different thriving civilisations according to him today
are the Western civilisation comprising of North America and Western Europe, the Muslim
civilisation, the Orthodox Civilisation led by Russia, the Chinese civilisation, the Hindu civilisation,
the Japanese civilisation, the Latin American civilisation and the African civilisation. Huntington s
proposition of the division of the World according to cultural lines has been backed by the use of
various examples by him; examples of events that have taken place in the past.
An example supporting Huntington s notion would the breaking up of Yugoslavia into six independent
states namely Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro. This
break up was caused due to ethnic and religious differences. It is also interesting to point out that the

Analysis Of The Poem Norwegian Wood
Music is what allows many to relax and clear their minds but Haruki Muarakami uses it in his writing
to add another layer of complexity. In a novel filled with complicated human emotions, ambiguous
endings, and constant symbolism Murakami also adds in a multitude of musical references most
prominently from the band The Beatles. While it s easy to overlook these references as unimportant
character traits it becomes apparent as the novel continues that music is purposely bound to this novel
for a distinctive purpose. In the novel Norwegian Wood by Haruki Marakami music is used to mirror
characters, foreshadow, and be used as dramatic irony.
Norwegian Wood is not only the title of Haruki Murakami s novel but it is also the first Beatles song
we hear in the book. The song immediately becomes a important and integral part of the story because
it what originally takes us into Toru s memories of Naoko. One of the first details Toru recalls when
thinking about his time in the meadow with Naoko after hearing the song is seeing, Two bright red
birds leap startled from the center of the meadow and dart into the woods (Murakami, 6). While this
may seem like an unnecessary detail it is important to note that the song Norwegian Wood s full title is
actually Norwegian Wood (This Bird has Flown) . Because this is the song that reminds Toru of
Naoko from the beginning it seems clear that Murakami wants the reader to piece together that Naoko
has flown away from Toru. Using a

  • 2. Difference Between Inductive And Guided Discovery Introduction In this provided chapter, the teaching method is more likely to be the inductive approach to language teaching or learning and deductive approach, or guided discovery. Deductive vs. inductive grammar teaching There are differences between inductive approach and deductive approach. Gollin (1998) stated that the inductive approach applied students to work out what the rules are from examples and find out what the meanings are throughout the given examples or practices whilst the deductive approach happened when teacher gives the explicit rules first. To be more specific, the former refers to working from the general to more specific whereas the latter moving from specific observations to broader generalizations. The concept of discovery techniques in Harmar (1987) is a keeping of what inductive approach which students start with several examples and will be soon asked to generate the rules through their experiences and examples. Upon Harmar s idea, Scrivener (2011) prompt the concept of guided discovery which is activities that allow learners to generate their own discoveries and explanations (Scrivener, 2005). Broadly speaking, it is a consciousness raising in order to help learners notice how a structure works. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The most important imperative of four in the Army Campaign Plan is develop leaders to meet the challenges of the 21st century because in the future leaders will deal a tough realistic environment and must be willing to adapt to the mission, threat or operational environment. We must train soldiers and leaders to ensure they are prepared to accomplish the mission across the range of military operations while operating in complex environments against determined, adaptive enemy organizations . This is the eighth of twenty Army Warfighting Challenges enduring first order problems, the solutions to which will improve current and future force combat effectiveness. These challenges are reviewed and updated as needed to remain applicable for the future force. Although the exact challenges in the future are unknown, based on increase in cyber security intrusions, the spread of disease and terrorism on the home front, it can only be assumed that these type of actions will increase. In this case future leaders must be trained to deal with these occurrences. To do so changes must occur not only in training but also in policy. It does the US Army a disservice if policies are not implemented to address the above challenges. Though many can argue that this relationship between the two is only for lust, it is clearly shown in the play that the family rivaled couple is truly in love. Through Juliet s decisiveness and maturity, Juliet shows that her relationship with Romeo is not about lust, but about true love. I think it gives meaning to the story by giving you a physical work that expresses all of the thoughts and emotions the characters are feeling. The piece shows Mary on her knees in front of Jesus desperately reaching towards him, probably to prove to herself that he is really there in front of her, while Jesus seems to be gesturing with his outstretched hand do not touch me . However, Mary Magdalene could not place her faith in what she saw like others could. When she saw the empty tomb with the discarded bandages she still didn t believe that Jesus could be alive, and even when Jesus himself was standing before her she was still unable to believe. Standards for dog breeds and qualifications for a dog to be considered purebred are set by kennel clubs. Kennel clubs, such as the American Kennel Club, United Kennel Club, and the Kennel Club (UK), are organizations that make money by registering dogs as purebred. Some people might want a purebred because only purebreds can compete in most dog shows, which are sponsored by kennel clubs. If people really want a dog that is considered purebred, kennel clubs like the AKC need to change standards for dog breeds to encourage healthy dogs, but the only way that is going to happen is if their is a public push for it. It has happened before. In 2008, a documentary called Purebred Dogs Exposed was televised in Great Britain. It was critical of the Kennel Club, the British equivalent of the AKC, and showed purebreds with a range of health problems. The documentary showed that the 2003 champion of the country s most prestigious dog show, Crufts, was a Pekingese who had to be photographed sitting on ice blocks because his flat face made his breed so prone to overheating. The film also showed pictures of certain breeds in the early 20th century compared to pictures of the same breeds today, showing how selective breeding had changed the dogs in the past century. For example, it showed the lengthened the back of the dachshund, rounded the skull of the bull terrier, and the almost frog like stance of the german sheperd. According to the documentary, vererinary fees for purebred dogs were costing British owners 10 million pounds a week. In response to the documentary, the Kennel Club commissioned an independent study led by Cambridge University professor emeritus Sir Patrick Bateson. The resulting report largely confirmed the documentary s findings, which concluded that inbreeding, selecting for extreme characteristics, and the practices of mass breeding facilities known as puppy mills were negatively impacting dog welfare (The Purebred Paradox Part 2). Descriptive Essay About My New House I looked back at my house, the green peeling paint on the door, the ripped screen door, the huge window at the top of the house, from which you could see into my room, and I only had one thought, this is no longer my home. I tore my gaze away from the house and entered the car. The floor had so much of our boxes and suitcases, I was forced to lift my feet so I could fit. My neighbors weren t home yet, so I wasn t able to say goodbye to them. I wished they were there. I d always been really close with my neighbors. They took care of me when my sister was born, and waited for my grandpa to take me to the hospital. I was especially close to the neighborhood kids; ever since I could talk they came over almost every week. I wondered if my new neighborhood would be like this. The engine vroomed to life and away from the beautiful, old house we went. In less than ten minutes, we arrived at my new house. The front was undeniably gorgeous. The grass was not the yellowish brown brought on from the drought, instead it was a lively green that I had dreams about running in. The fall leaves around the trees enhanced the feeling of Christmas soon to come and the stairs leading up to the front door were clean. They had no muddy footprints that I was so used to seeing on my concrete. I walked up the steps slowly. I had a half witted hope that if I moved slow enough I d end up back at the Azusa house. The first Comedy Central roast was aired on August 10th, 2003 and Denis Leary was ridiculed on stage for the viewing of millions of people. Roasts have been around as far back as 1904 where the Friars Club held annual roasts. Their main motto was We only roast the ones we love . At first, roasts were taken lightly and people would just have innocent fun with friends and family. When Comedy Central started airing roasts it changed the game. Roasts went from being innocent fun to making a mockery of a celebrity. Even though the Puritans used the scaffold to generate a mockery of a plebeian, it still happens today. When Hester was on the stage the townspeople scorned her for her mistake. Biography Report On Isaac Newton PHYSICS REPORT Melissa Kouamo Physics 2425 Dr. Lee Estep Fall 2016 BIOGRAPHY REPORT ISAAC NEWTON Among all the scientists I have had a chance to learn about, one of the famous is known as Isaac Newton, born in 1642 and deceased in 1742. Generally recognized as a physicist, he is proudly known for his work in a lot of domain such as mathematics, optics and motion which are all parts of physics. Born prematurely on Christmas day, he was fatherless and barely three years old when his mom left him as his maternal grandmother s to get remarried and build a second family: challenging childhood but full of promises. Ten years later his mother Hanna, came back in Woolsthorpe, his natal town after the dead of her second husband. Despite her long absence, Newton was still denied of his mom s attention, thus a great contribution to his complex character. Newton s childhood was anything but happy, and throughout his life he verged on emotional collapse, occasionally falling into violent and vindictive attacks against friend and foe alike. After his mother returned to the town, he was forced to quit school and become a farmer, duty that he fortunately failed to fulfill. This failure led him back to King s school at Grantham where he prepared his entrance to Trinity College at Cambridge. The bigger challenge was to overcome the farmer live in profit of a fructuous student life. His life therefore changed when he left Woolsthorpe for Cambridge University. Little is known of Newton ... First is the need to be mirrored , then the need to idealize, and the last is the need to be like others. The need to be mirrored is called the grandiose exhibitionistic. Children need to be shown by one or both parents that they are special, wonderful and wanted, and it is a delightful to be around them all the time and they are important too. • 15. Examples Of Acting Rightly By Tao Te Ching 1(A). The theme that I chose that runs throughout Tao Te Ching is acting rightly (right action). Acting rightly is a process that everybody does but we don t recognize it. We all, at some point, have helped people who were less fortunate than us. Whether if that was buying homeless people food or donating blood in order to save people s life. Why I said that acting rightly is a process is because it takes time. One cannot call himself or herself a righteous person when they only did right one time. It takes multiple good deeds for one to become a good person. This must be a coincidence because acting rightly in Tao Te Ching reminds me of an Aristotle quote. In it, he says, We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit. This quote perfectly sums up acting rightly. In order to become a good person, one must repeat their good actions so that it becomes a habit. Not do good things when they feel like it and ignore it the rest of the time. One must be the same person in the dark as they are in the light. When one acts rightly, their actions come from their heart. This means that they did it expecting nothing in return. Most people when they help others, they always expect something in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I agree with almost everything that this theme has to offer. I do believe that acting rightly is a good moral and that everyone should have it. I believe that everybody should put the needs of others before theirs. However, there is one thing that I disagree with. And that is how can one differentiate what is wrong and what is right. A good example of this would be Robinhood. As the story goes, Robinhood robs the rich and give to the poor. What if the rich were the poor but they d work their way up to the top? Isn t he ruining all of the hard work they put in? Is he wrong for his actions? Or is he ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A comparable court system was established by him. These courts contained Sharia courts, and amended the laws that were deprived of the Islamic laws. The most of the Islamic laws instituted by him are still on the statute. In school story books, do you have characters saying that the food tasted good at school cafeterias? Nope. Why is this? Cafeteria food is often cheap, bought in bulk, high in calories, malnutritious, and microwaved. Student polls and opinions prove this. Therefore, this leads to a suggestion: Healthier, tastier foods and a better, advanced lunch system should be implemented. First of all, students aren t motivated to eat unhealthy, not tasty food. If you observed students buying lunch in the cafeteria, you don t often see them buying these kinds, but not limited to, foodstuffs: burritos (which are just beans wrapped in tortillas), burgers (meat slapped on two ... On the other hand, you may be thinking, $3.75 $4.75 is cheap for a school lunch , Who would pay for it? , or If it s good enough for school standards, then it MUST be healthy . $3.75 $4.75 is not cheap with the economy failing and families having to stretch their dollars. About a year ago, the lunch was $2.50. If a student bought a $4.75 lunch every day for a month, about thirty days, the total would be $142.50. Multiply that by twelve months and it is $1,710 a YEAR. Compared to the $900 a year with the $2.50 meal, lunch prices ARE pretty darn expensive. Secondly, if enhanced foods and lunch system were implemented, some might say it would take a huge amount of money to actually start the project. However, if tax dollars are enough to pay for billion dollar roads, then it s enough to start a respectable lunch system. A portion of the tax dollars could be used instead of it all going to highway and road construction. Finally, the food may fit school standards, but it may not be such a good choice. Most people eat 2,000 to 2,500 calories a day, depending on their needs. How healthy could a tortilla with beans, or a piece of meat slapped between two slices of bread, be? The International Criminal Court (ICC) should ignore and be above politics to form legitimacy in future. First, the ICC is a legal institution made by sovereign governments have different political view, interests, and purpose to protect. Its job is to support universal rules of law and act fairly with ignoring political pressures. In the ICC, the prosecutors decide when warrants should be issued and judges make final decisions and check the political actions. However, it is still difficult for the ICC to challenge a powerful state because of political pressure. The ICC is a court under the Rome Statues. It depends on States and other powerful organizations to enforce decisions which bring concerns. Also, it is also possible that political organization will sometimes act as difficulties to justice processes. The concern is it can possibly leads the leaders to ignore or refuse appeals from the ICC. Also, they might use the ICC s legitimacy for their own political purposes which is why USA does not support the ICC currently. In the first part, the language acquisition device the comprehensible input triggered and this starts children s language development. This process is affected by the anxiety factor, which he called affective filter. In the second part, the acquired language combined with the intentional learning result in the language output. In this process, the intentional learning monitors students output. Specifically speaking, his model proposes that a low affective filter or a low anxiety is good for children s acquisition. He further believes that the learned knowledge hinders our acquisition and needs to be avoided (Brown, 2014). This argument indicates that teachers had better avoid such monitoring as correcting students responses since it hinders students acquisition. Also, Krashen argues that it is good for children to acquire the language subconsciously. Besides, he asserts that children follow a natural order to acquire the rules of the language. In Bialystok s model classified knowledge into explicit linguistic knowledge, implicit linguistic knowledge and general knowledge. People tended to worship nature gods such as spirits of the earth, sky and river. As the human communities matured and developed, local, tribal and ancestral spirits became the center of focus in their beliefs and religious life. This leads to inferring that people did not understand natural phenomena and thought it was a punishment for their behavior from the deities. People thought natural phenomena was able to change based on their relationships with the deities. 2. People created a sense of community and working together. Eventually, some people began to question their belief systems through communication and realized that they can focus more on relationships among human beings. This led to both uniformity, dispute and separation, among people who had different views on religion and human interaction. 3. The Japanese religion of Shintoism is most closely associated. The emperor even had to renounce his divinity of the descendant of the sun line at the end of World War II since this religion associated itself with the whole population of Japan, not just the royalty. Diagnosis of a fistula may be completed during the first scan and dynamic examination with patient involvement can provide additional clinical information. If required, contrast material might be used intracavitary and as a rule is not associated with a burden to the patient s health. We should bare in mind, that color Doppler or 3D imaging can shed light on the characteristics of the fistula, such as inflammation of the tissues and edema. Without a doubt, that information can be very helpful for the timing of the procedure, whereas, serial sonographic examinations may reveal changes in characteristics of the fistula over time. Ultrasound might well be applied intra operatively, if needed. It is worth mentioning, that ultrasound examination might be undertaken by the surgeon, thus providing crucial additional information for the clinical investigation. Another benefit associated with the usage of ultrasonography is that it can be performed even during the physical examination, just next to the examination bed with minimal stress to the patient. • 42. Understanding Weaknesses Of The Four Day Workweek Understanding Weaknesses of the Four Day Workweek Four day workweek, like the name suggests, calls for replacing the five eight hour days with four ten hour days without changes in hourly earnings or weekly earnings. Therefore, the same number of hours of work and leisure are provided at the same earnings. The concept of a compressed workweek is not new, even if it is not the norm for most jobs. Proposals to reduce weekly hours of work, a major concern of American labor in the early years of century, are again a serious concern to many people. The 2008 National Study of Employers, released by the Families and Work Institute, found that 38 percent of US firms allow a compressed workweek for some employees. Eight percent permit it for all or most employees (Gardner). When a growing number of employers are considering converting to a compressed four day workweek, it is important to understand positives and negatives of the new work schedule, to analyze a specific example of company that have failed in converting to the new policy, and to understand additional factors to consider before the implementation of the new policy. An advantage brought to employers is that the four day workweek helps companies save money incurred on daily operation. When employees cram 40 hours of work into four days, companies can save energy bills by closing for an extra one day per week. For example, in 2009, Utah became the first state to institute an official four day workweek for all state ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Beverly Cleary, in her novel The Mouse and the Motorcycle, explicates that two living creatures of completely different species can come to unite and form a phenomenal friendship. In her story, Beverly Cleary shows that true friendship is not limited to members of the same species. She uses a boy, a mouse and a similar interest to show friendships can grow from the most unlikely sources. Just as in the real world, Cleary uses an intrigue to introduce two completely different worlds. Men and women, and animals, often tend to gravitate to things that are captivating to them. Past affiliations and even general curiosity are a few things Cleary used to help begin this friendship. Ralph living in the inn for years would have seen countless children playing with their toys, but it was not until Keith that he would venture out unto a thrilling undertaking that a friendship would develop. The two beings shared an interest, in this case Keith s prized motorcycle, which led to them crossing paths and becoming best friends. The relationship itself helps Cleary drive the point home. Why exactly is it mouse? Is it because a mouse is small enough to ride a motorcycle? Then why not a hamster? A squirrel? Cleary uses a mouse due to its fiend nature . Man has given mice a tarnished reputation. This then should make it tough for a friendship to develop between the two. Cleary demonstrates that friendships can develop from the weirdest of pairs. • 47. Analysis Of Samuel Huntington s The Clash Of The... Samuel Huntington, the author of the clash of the civilisations believes that the World will eventually divide in accordance with cultural lines, and not political lines. According to Huntington, the thriving East Asian and Muslim societies will soon challenge Western dominance, and the United States being the World leader will need to reevaluate its policies on foreign invention and domestic immigration to remain a major player. During the Cold War, the world was divided into the First, Second and Third Worlds. Huntington views these ties as insignificant now and states that the remaking of the World order will be based upon cultural similarity. The different thriving civilisations according to him today are the Western civilisation comprising of North America and Western Europe, the Muslim civilisation, the Orthodox Civilisation led by Russia, the Chinese civilisation, the Hindu civilisation, the Japanese civilisation, the Latin American civilisation and the African civilisation. • 49. Analysis Of The Poem Norwegian Wood Music is what allows many to relax and clear their minds but Haruki Muarakami uses it in his writing to add another layer of complexity. In a novel filled with complicated human emotions, ambiguous endings, and constant symbolism Murakami also adds in a multitude of musical references most prominently from the band The Beatles. While it s easy to overlook these references as unimportant character traits it becomes apparent as the novel continues that music is purposely bound to this novel for a distinctive purpose. In the novel Norwegian Wood by Haruki Marakami music is used to mirror characters, foreshadow, and be used as dramatic irony. Norwegian Wood is not only the title of Haruki Murakami s novel but it is also the first Beatles song we hear in the book. The song immediately becomes a important and integral part of the story because it what originally takes us into Toru s memories of Naoko. One of the first details Toru recalls when thinking about his time in the meadow with Naoko after hearing the song is seeing, Two bright red birds leap startled from the center of the meadow and dart into the woods (Murakami, 6). While this may seem like an unnecessary detail it is important to note that the song Norwegian Wood s full title is actually Norwegian Wood (This Bird has Flown) . Because this is the song that reminds Toru of Naoko from the beginning it seems clear that Murakami wants the reader to piece together that Naoko has flown away from Toru. Using a ...
