Introduction
In this investigation, I will be investigating the changes along the long profile of a river. In order to do
this, I will be collecting data and making observations at three different points along the river; the
upper course, the middle course, and the lower course.
The river which I will be conducting my observations would be on Bartley Water. Bartley Water is a
river going through the New Forest which is located in the south of the UK, Hampshire. The source of
the river begins from Bartley, 109m above sea level, and joins to its end at Eling, flowing into
Southampton Water. The river has a length of 27km and a catchment area of 40sqkm. It is a tributary
of the River Test. The river bed contains of a mixture of sand, silt and clay which can change as the
river behaves due to erosion, transportation and deposition.
The sites which I will be investigating on are:
Site one is at Buskett s Lawn, grid reference: 309109
Site two is at Woodlands, grid reference: 325006
Site three is at Eling, grid reference: 362124
The surroundings of these areas differ at each site. Site one is mostly rural areas whereas, when it
moves onto the last site, it becomes an urban area. These will affect on the course and direction of the

Islam and Christianity Comparative Religious Study
Islam and Christianity are significantly different religions with its followers holding many opposing
views and theories. Therefore, most find it somewhat challenging to acknowledge any common
morals or similarities between Christianity and Islam. Through the comparative study of these two
religions, one can identify such similarities and differences. Comparative religion is the examination
of different religions and how they relate to one another. It is becoming a large factor in present day
discourse mainly because diverse, pious groups are having closer contact both individually and
collectively (McGuigan). The goal of comparative religion is to train individuals to critically think
about the cultural, social, historical, and intellectual circumstances within religious relationships.
Although Christianity and Islam are considered different religions, one must fully understand each to
recognize the many commonalities they do, in fact, share.

Ben Carson was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 18th, 1951, and from there his life was a
downhill struggle. At the age of 13, his mother Sonya married a much older Baptist preacher named
Robert Solomon Carson, who was from Tennessee. They had two children, Curtis and Benjamin.
When Ben was 8 years old, Sonya and Robert divorced, and Robert moved back to Tennessee. Sonya

throughput access to the applications that require big data.
2. Namenode: It manages the system namespace. It stores the metadata of data blocks. The metadata is
stored in the form of namespace image and edit logs on a local machine. The namenode knows the
location of each datablock on the data node.
3. Secondary Namenode: It is responsible for merging the namespace image and edit log to create
