Manslaughter And Involuntary Manslaughter
dangerous resulting in a death of another human being. Manslaughter is the opposite of murder,
manslaughter can also be described in two different ways, being either voluntary or involuntary.
Voluntary manslaughter is when the act of murder is committed in either the heat of the passion or in
the defense of yourself or others (Benish). Meaning if somebody broke into a house and had a gun,
then the owner of the home could shoot the man, because he or she is defending themselves in the
situation. Involuntary manslaughter is when a killing is unintentional resulting from an unlawful
misdemeanor act or a low level felony (Benish), such as a drunk driver wrecking a car, killing the
passengers in the vehicle. Both these class A felonies result in death of another human being, therefore
being the reason why the sentence is automatically 25 years to life. Rape also falls in the category of
class A, considering it can lead to murder or manslaughter and is considered a severe felony. Rape is a
type of sexual assault, either in the form of sexual intercourse or other forms of sexual penetration
carried out against a person without the persons consent (Rape). Some people may argue that rape
should fall more into the class B category, mainly because it is not as severe as murder or
manslaughter because it is not resulting in a dead human being. In the United States there is reported
rape every 6.2 minutes , adding up to tens of millions of rape victims (Solnit). How many of

Explain why opposition to Russian Governments was so...
Explain why opposition to Russian Governments was so rarely successful in the period 1855 1954?
Throughout the period 1855 to 1954, opposition to Russian governments was a common occurrence
due to dissatisfaction of many civilians lives and the lack of development seen throughout Russia.
However, as much as there were some successful movements throughout 1905 such as the Bolsheviks
gaining support and eventually gaining power, there were also several failed attempts due to intense
use of violence, terror and censorship by the state. It is arguable that whether opposition was
successful, merely came down to the strength of the opposition group or the weakness of the
government in power. All state leaders across the whole period held ... Show more content on

During that time, the populist movement in 1874 76 Going to the people failed as villages as the
peasants saw the middle class as outsiders, showing the vast gulf between the intelligentsia and the
peasants. As a result, Populism became more radical, with the creation of the secret organisation of
Land and Liberty in 1876, using terrorism and organising the assassinations of leading figures. Lenin
in Power 1917 1924 In October 1917, there was enough opposition for Lenin to take power as leader
of the Bolsheviks. The Provisional Government provided him with no majority support, with the
Bolsheviks winning 24% and the SRs gaining 54% of votes. The Liberal period consisting of keeping
workers and peasants happy left them with little power. Decree on land gives noble land to peasantry

Visit And Living In The Hawaiian Islands
While the Hawaiian Islands are a fun and beautiful place to both visit and live, the moving experts at
M. Dyer Sons, Inc. Moving Company would just like to impart a word of warning. As more and more
new residents flock to Hawaii, they come to the islands without realizing how dangerous the waters
can be without proper preparation or safety precautions. The waves will always look majestic and
breathtaking, but they can easily overtake anyone but the strongest swimmers and surfboarders with a
surprise storm or swell. Right now during the winter season, waves can reach upwards of 20 to 40 feet
in height on average. Even if you are just taking a walk down the beach, the waters can quickly sweep

Iso 9000 Standards And Standards
Implementing ISO 9000
ISO 9000 has both proponents and critics. Some argue that ISO 9000 would significantly improve
organizations while others argue that it does nothing but take a lot of time and money to implement
and run ISO in an organization. ISO is and independent certification that is responsible for creating
and publishing international standards (Dedhia, p.1). Many business people have heard of ISO but don
t know the requirements. ISO isn t an acronym, it s derived from the Greek word isos, which means
equal (Dedhia, p.1). ISO 9000 first published in 1987 as a series of three standards and supplementary
guidelines, the standards outline the collective plans, responsibilities, procedures and resources to

ISO 9000 could be a benefit to an organization s control function of management if you have the right
people in the organization. People who are committed and involved in running a business the correct
way. However, aspects of the control function of management that will most benefit by the
implementation of ISO 9000, requirements helped most and least by ISO 9000 implementation, and
my opinion on if the benefit outweigh the cost of implementing ISO 9000 into an organization will be
addressed throughout the entirety of this essay.
The pressure for organizations to become ISO 9000 certified is absolutely increasing, to the fact the
corporate customers are requesting ISO 9000 certification to ensure that suppliers are paying adequate
attention to quality ( ISO 9000 , p.1). Aspects of the control function of management that mostly
benefit from ISO 9000 are plentiful. In my opinion, being that the ISO 9000 requires a management
that is committed, involved, focused and responsive benefits the control functions of management in
many categories (Dedhia, p.1). With a management that is involved in everyday operations, setting
standards is a must, standards of what should be done and the efficiency of the organization.
Management who is committed and responsive in an organization measure performances and corrects

Biotin
Definition
It is made up of extraordinary form, with two ring fused jointly through one of their sides. The two
rings are ureido and thiophene moieties. Biotin is heterocyclic, S comprising monocarboxylic acid. It
is formed from two precursors, alanine and pimeloyl CoA around three enzymes. 8 Amino 7
oxopelargonic acid synthase is a pyrodixal 5ᶦ phosphate enzyme. The pimeloyl CoA, be able to

Diaminopelargonic acid or DAPA aminotransferase is unique in using S adenosyl methionine or SAM

The city of London was a place of prosperity, a city that connected many people to others from around

During the time period design of cities and how they were built and what they were built of always
had some risk to it, the cities of the time they were closely packed built of wood and other flammable
materials. Which was the exact reason London and everything around it was burned to the ground the
way it was. After the fire was put out it was time to make some changes and that is when the
Rebuilding Act of 1667 outlawed timber buildings; all structures were to be built of brick or stone (
The Great Fire of London 3). This law put in place would change the world for when old cities were
taken down and rebuilt this rebuilding act would dictate what they were made of and how the
buildings were placed. It moved the world a step closer becoming what it is today moving away for
old traditions and ways of building. It created in a sense a building revolution for large cities around
the world. With all the damage that was done people were low on money and lost almost anything
they could not get out of their homes in time. Now and days people turn to a system called insurance
to regain lost money. So people were looking for a way to get back on their feet but the fire destroyed

disruptions in your home. In particular, the rollers and door opener can be prone to encountering

This may be an annoyance, but it is easy to understand given the tremendous stress the motor
undergoes when opening and closing these heavy doors. Typically, a failing garage door opener will
make loud grinding sounds due to the internal components rubbing against each other. Also, it may not
be able to smoothly open and close the door. This may lead to it slowing as it is opened or slamming
into the ground when it is closed. If the opener is malfunctioning, it should be addressed as soon as
possible because this type of damage may be progressive, which can yield sizable repair costs when
this repair is delayed. A garage door must have many moving parts functioning correctly to be able to
easily open and close. These doors may experience sizable issues with either the rollers or the opener,
and it is important to be able to spot these issues. However, you should not attempt either of these
repairs on your own. If this work is not done correctly, you may cause major damage to this part of
your home. As a result, you should contact a professional if you notice any of these issues with your

Rousseau Social Contract
In a society you can t have anarchy otherwise it would become a blood bath where everyone kills one
another. The death penalty dates back to the eighteenth century B.C. to current day where it is now a
more controversial topic. In The Social Contract Rousseau debates political investments that come
with monarchy, and as a result the anarchy that has ensued throughout time. As a society it has always
been our obligation to determine what is considered morally right from what is wrong. Our views as
civil society have changed dramatically from the early eighteenth century to current day. Without
having the social contract by which every man in civil society is bounded by there would be no self

whether or not it abides by what we call the social contract. The death penalty has been a controversial
issue since the beginning of time however it has been desensitized. The death penalty used to be done
by crucifixion, drowning, beating to death, burning alive, and impalement however we civilians have
realized that the death penalty is horribly flawed and throughout time has transformed it to lesser
extreme measures. Rousseau states It is expedient for the state that you should die , then he should die,
because it is only on such terms that he has lived in security as long as he has and also because his life
is no longer the bounty of nature but a gift he has received conditionally from the state. (Rousseau 78)
Rousseau believes that if its in the best interest of society then the use of the death penalty is socially
correct. Once a man breaks the law and becomes a criminal to society your rights as a civilian are
immediately taken away. It is in the countries best

Theme Of Once Upon A Time By Nadine Gordimer
Ever since the beginning of time, fear has been haunting the lives of human beings. The passage Once
upon a time , by Nadine Gordimer, the characters within this text shows how fear is seen and what
actions are done to stop threats . In this text, there was a family in a quartered area , mom, dad, and a
little boy. only trusted maids and etc. were allowed into the area. In front of the family house is a
warning sign that says one could be an invader even though the homeowners are covered by security
systems. Towards the end of the passage the homeowners house was broken into. In once upon a time
Gordimer uses imagery and symbolism to justify that apartheid was a fearful time to live in.
Gordimer divulges symbolism to how the couple is attentive caused by the possibilities of going
outside the lines, from beyond the fence of society. The couple identifies the outsiders as riots other
than individuals within the gated community. It was not possible to insure the house, the swimming
pool or the car against riot damage. { Gordimer, 2}
The fence that holds the homeowners inside defeats the chance of them ever getting to understand the
purpose of the riots that took place. The sign of warning in front of the characters home and their
location shows how apartheid has intense among years of discrimination between people of any color.

Pros And Cons Of Pelagianism
In the years following 400 AD, the ideas of the monk Pelagius spawned a heresy that still affects
people of the church today. Pelagianism holds that a man can take the initial and fundamental steps
toward salvation by his own efforts, apart from God s Divine Grace (Slick). In a nutshell, Pelagius
heresy states that man doesn t need help from God to be able to live a holy life and to get into heaven.
Despite the heresy seeming to have nearly died out, it merely evolved into smaller actions that allow it
to slowly take hold of our lives. As Thomas Aquinas once stated, heresies are a species of unbelief,
and like other species, heresies like pelagianism will adapt in order to survive. Pope Francis made the
comments he did about Pelagianism to make it known how it can sneak into our lives and, in addition,
presents how we personally can avoid any further confusion.
While Pelagianism may have began many years ago, it still has a large enough influence to cause Pope
Francis to speak out against it today. Pope Francis has came out and said that it s not soul searching or
constant introspection that we encounter the Lord, [but living our lives] going ... Show more content

Francis did the exact opposite and recognizes Pelagianism as a issue within the Church. The Holy
Father shines the light back on this heresy and presents how Christians today are not knowingly
having beliefs that are Pelagianistic. To help clear confusion, Pope Francis shows us how we can t
solely rely on ourselves for salvation and that we can always find help through God. We have to
remember that if Jesus did not die for our sins, we would not have the chance to enter Heaven. So if
we take God out of salvation, then why would have Jesus died to save us from our

Sociology Topic 6
Using material from item A assess sociological explanations of gender inequality in todays society
In the last 30 years women in the UK working has risen to 2.45 million whereas men working has
risen by 0.5 million. Item A suggests a variety of gender inequalities in today s society for example the
pay difference women receive as it is suggested according to item A that women earn a quarter of a
million pounds less than men and this is without women not having any children if she did have
children it would be £140,000 less. The pay gap reduces family income overall which isn t beneficial
for families. Another issue is that women mainly work in low paid sectors like retail or caring and due

pay is low in occupations where there are many women. This could be because the jobs require less
training and promotion prospects for this job in which men are in the majority. Human capital assumes
that experiences of employment means the increase in wage whereas experience in part time work is
associated with less wages.
Some sociologists believe that a dual labour market exists and is divided into 2 sectors primary and
secondary. Primary is secure, well paid and with good prospectus whereas the secondary is poor pay
insecurity and no ladder of promotion. Barron and Norris concluded that women are likely to be in the
secondary this is due to women being unsuitable, disrupted career developments and weak legal and
political framework supporting women.
Liberal feminists argue that the traditional forms of gender role socialisation in families, education and
in the media are responsible for reproducing a sexual division in labour in which masculinity is seen
as dominant whereas femininity is seen as subordinate.Oakly argues that the reason for the
subordination of women in the labour market is the dominance of motherhood/housewife roles for
women. Patriarchal ideology stresses the view that women s only purpose is to raise children. Sharpe
believes that education and careers are main priorities of teen girls. Girls also perform better in
education which suggests that society will change at a later stage due to girls performing so well

Reflection For California History
This summer I have had the pleasure to intern for California History, an academic journal which
publishes research on the complex history of California from many different perspectives. During the
course of my internship, I have completed various projects involving analysis, research, and writing.
These projects have required me to apply all of my previous knowledge and training, and challenged

process. The option of being able to get medical aid in dying only apply to certain states, and must
pass through an election for that specific state. The first state to vote on the subject was Oregon and
eventually passed in 1994 as the Death with Dignity Act (Jackson, 2008). There are now six states in
the United States that has passed this act. The states that are allowing physician assisted death are
District of Columbia, Oregon, Washington, Vermont, California and recently Colorado.
Eligibility Criteria
To legally obtain a prescription medication to end your life under physician assisted dying statutes,
people must first become a qualified patient, meeting a set of rigorous requirements. First off, people
who are thinking of using the act must be a resident of Colorado, California, Washington, Vermont,
District of Columbia and Oregon. They must also be 18 years or older, and be mentally competent.
Lastly, they must be diagnosed with a terminal illness that will lead to

Factor Analysis Of Information Risk
Factor Analysis of Information Risk (FAIR)
Factor Analysis of Information Risk (FAIR) is a framework for understanding, analyzing and
measuring information risk (Violino, 2010). FAIR is a Value at Risk (VaR) model for cyber security
and operational risk and is considered an international standard by The Open Group. The FAIR model
quantifies information risk in financial terms using a scientific approach (RiskLens, 2015). Other risk
models measure risk in qualitative terms based on the opinions of subject matter experts, reliance on
practitioner intuition and experience, industry lore and best practices (Violino, 2010). The primary
components of the FAIR framework are a taxonomy for information risk, standardized terms and
definitions for information risk terms, data collection criteria, scales for measuring risk factors, a
computational engine for calculating risk, and a simulation model to measure risk scenarios (Jones,
2005). The framework is used to develop threat modelled information risk processes based on past
experiences, up‐to‐date intelligence feeds, recognition of trends, and a valuation of the organizational
assets (Optimal Risk, 2015). Figure 1 Threat Modeled Risk Framework Source: (Optimal Risk, 2015)
The FAIR methodology s quantitative nature enables assessments to be performed in a consistent
manner and the taxonomy allows various teams from Information Risk, Information Technology and
the business talk about risk in the same terms. This allows for more

Loss Of The American Dream In The 19th Century
Many connect the beauty of America with its American dream, which includes feeling financially
secure, having the freedom to live the way one wants, being able to retire at 65, owning a home, and
believing that hard work pays off. The connection between America and the American dream is
strongly related to each other based on the interpretation of the media to the ideals taught in school.
Nowadays, a majority of the American population believes that the American dream is dead. In other
words, many Americans believe that America is dying by straying away from its original beliefs that
the American dream is still achievable for today s living generations. This is true, because both
America and the American dream are dying by transforming and straying away from its traditional
values. The American dream from the 19th century compared to that of the 20th century is very
different from each other, such as the American dream in the 21st century. This is because every new
generation in America creates their own American dream. In the 19th century, the American dream
was shaped by the discovery of gold in California, which led to the dream that many 19th century
Americans believed that they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

to each newer generation becoming more prevalent and influential on how the government runs. As
the older generations begin to die and the newer generations grow up, the more popular opinions
reflect on the greater represented generations of the total American population. Therefore, media
reflects on these growing popular opinions of the newer generations, thus placing more pressure on
politicians to create or change laws in order to appease the majority of the population, or else protests

What is Impression Formation
Introduction Impression formation is an idea formed without consciousness based on little evidence to
evaluate a judgement. The process of forming impression is determined through verbal
communication, non verbal communication and paralinguistic cues. Verbal communication is the
content of what a person says. Non verbal communication is the way we present ourselves without
using spoken language while paralanguage is the way we talk other than spoken words. This research
conducted was experimental. This is because there are two variables identified in this research which
are independent variable (IV) and dependent variable (DV). The IV was the duration of time while the
DV was the result of the First Impression Scale (FIS).The research question is Are the results of the
First Impression Scale affected by the time a person is exposed to the presenter? .Thus, the objective
of this research is to find out whether the time a person is exposed to the video will affect the person s
impression on the presenter. This information could be important to determine how long an
advertisement or a show should last to create a good impression among the audience. The research
hypothesis is the longer a person is exposed to the video, the better the impression formed. The sample
size of this research is small which is 38 psychology students in SAM program of Taylor s College
Subang Jaya. Participants were assigned randomly into two groups, Group 1 and Group 2, to watch a

Fatal Virtue
Brecht views fatal virtue as something characters have that burdens the characters life. It also leads to
their downfall, later. Katrin fatal virtue is her kindness and compassion which she does not get from
her mother.
Mother Courage being Katrin s mother knows her daughter s fatal virtue is compassion. She warns her
to return the child she saved from being discovered and killed by the soilders or she will fight it off
you (1018.) This can also be viewed as her mother trying to interfere with the role her daughter s fatal
virtue, which will later claim Katrins life. When Katrin is trying to communicate with her mother she
always gets the feeling that she is being dismissed. When Eilif is being taken by the recruiter she
makes hoarse noises (1005). She is trying to warn her mother her brother is being lured away. Mother

Also whenever the audience feels sorry for a character or situation Brecht cut s in the scene sometimes
using ballads. He does this so they can understand how even though war is a business, it is also is the
reason why a mother lost everything. He wants to separate the actors from the audience so that the
audience will draw their own conclusions without being influenced. Brecht used epic theater so the
audience would not empathize with Mother Courage because she lost her children, to the war. He
wanted his audience to examine how war affects the people and their environment. He also wants
people to understand that in Mother Courage s case she believes that all you have to do is survive the

exercised their power to make decisions regarding matters that they have no knowledge or expertise

Descriptive Essay About Waffle House
Every Friday my coworker, Kayleigh, and I always go and eat at Waffle House. It became a tradition
and my aunt works there so it s a welcoming environment. Usually after eating dinner we will go to
Walmart where we always end up spending money. Going out every Friday gives us time to just relax
and gossip after work. Since we are going right after work, we always have our hideous, yellow KOA
shirts on. Sometimes people will recognize us from work and start conversations about the
campground. I am honestly not a very outgoing person, so I try to avoid these conversations as much
as possible. There was one Friday that topped all the rest. This is an experience that I will never be
able to forget. As Kayleigh and I left work, we headed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

went towards the makeup section, the section where I spend all my money. When turning down the

Alzheimer s Is A Progressive Disease
As we age, our bodies begin to deteriorate. The bones become brittle, the muscles and tendons
atrophy, hair falls out, and our mental faculties begin to diminish. It can be difficult when it comes to
aging but at times it is a beautiful, natural process of life. With age comes many difficulties and
changes. One of them is a very serious and debilitating change that can impact one who is affected as
well as those who may be caring for them and their families. This change is that of the disease
Alzheimer s. Alzheimer s is a progressive disease that destroys memory and other important mental
functions. This disease affects more than 5 million Americans and continues to increase. With this
disease on the increase, it begs the question if there is a way to prevent this debilitating disease or at
least some kind of early diagnosis. Though there is no concrete way to determine the etiology of
Alzheimer s unless through autopsy of the human brain, there are ways to aid in the early diagnosis of
this disease amongst the aging population for better and improved prognosis. Awareness is necessary
in understanding this disease. As humans continue to live longer, the risk for many illness and
deficiencies begin to present them. Alzheimer s and dementia is one of the many problems that plague
the aging population. Understanding brain aging and reducing risk for neurological disease with age
requires searching for mechanisms and treatment options beyond the age related changes in neuronal

Why Potato Is Becoming The Most Important Crop
Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is the fourth highest produced crop in the world and the most
important non cereal food crop, with world production estimated to be over 350 million tons in 2013
(http://faostat.fao.org). Potato is a versatile crop, and is utilized as not only food and feed but also in
industrial materials and fuels (Kikuchi et al. 2015). Potato is becoming the most important crop in
developing countries and its production is expanding more rapidly than that of most other crops
primarily because of increasing industrialization (Guchi et al. 2015). Potatoes in India are grown
under varied climatic conditions ranging from tropics, subtropics to temperate highlands.
Consequently, the spectrum of insect pests and diseases is very large and limit potato production upto
85% depending upon the weather/region. Fungal disease plays a pivotal role for yield losses. Late
blight, caused by Phytophthora infestans (oomycete pathogen), is the most destructive disease of
potato worldwide (CIP, 1989). During the last two decades, disease has increased globally and the
average global crop loss of potato has increased upto 21.8% (Fry and Goodwin, 1997; James, 1981;
Forbes, 2012). Worldwide losses due to late blight are estimated to exceed $5 billion annually and thus
the pathogen is regarded as a threat to global food security (Latijnhouwers et al. 2004).
Management strategies consist either in exclusion, avoiding contact between plant and pathogens, or
by pest eradication, and

Hardin Summary
Hardin refers to the commons with its natural resources, an area that we all share, access, and use
providing there is enough for all. The resources of the commons include such things as open waters,
clean air, as well as forest land preserves. He illustrates, through a parable of animals grazing in an
open pasture of the common ground, for everyone to use and dare I say abuse. The herdsmen of the
said grazing flocks are driven to increase their herds on the commons, in which to grow personal
wealth. This leads to numerous problems for both animal and user as quantities exceed the lands
carrying capacity of the commons, as this land degrades and compromises the needs of future
generations. He suggests we abandon the commons in food gathering

Understanding the relationship between Zhou Enlai and Mao Zedong is critical in determining Zhou s
true motives for providing sanctuary to the victims of the Cultural Revolution. The mystery of Zhou
and Mao s relationship is not that of Mao s sadism, which has been exposed by numerous writers, but
Zhou s submission. Their relationship, and Zhou s role in Communist China, and therefore the
Cultural Revolution is questioned by few historians other than Gao Wenqian, Andrew Nathan, and

However, reviews of his book have mostly considered Gao s work as a reliable source of chinese
history, especially in regards to beloved Zhou. Historian Jonathan Spence wrote, With Gao s book, I
feel like we are edging towards a clearer understanding of Mao and Zhou and the Revolution. The
historians Spence and Nathan find Gao s book riveting, and add value to his already credible narrative.
As someone who experienced Chinese history through the archives, it is only right that Gao s book is
deemed credible in evaluating the life of Zhou Enlai.
Andrew Nathan portrays the famous relationship between the two leaders as mutually dependent on
one another, yet simultaneously unequal. Nathan s portrayal of Mao and Zhou is not only an addition
to Gao s piece but is valued in that it is written by someone of an outside perspective, and written from
the knowledgeable outsider s point of view. Nathan, who is a professor of Chinese history and politics
at Columbia, is an expert of Chinese history. He implies that although Zhou believed firmly in
Communism, he did not share Mao s fanaticism. Mao s internal policies were becoming more and

and leader. The Cultural Revolution was a political strategy of Mao, to bring those who opposed him

Automotive Ignition Systems
Ignition Systems:
New and Old

Ignitions systems in motor vehicles have evolved in the past thirty years. Points was a simple concept
but was not reliable and needed adjustment and replacement of components seemed constant. Today a
magnetic sensor relays a signal to the computer which in turn sends the voltage to the selected
cylinder to ignite the fuel/air mixture. There are not mechanical parts to fail or become corroded and
brittle. There are many different parts to an ignition system. These parts differ between modern and
old ignition systems. There is a coil. Sometimes one coil provides the increased voltage to the
distributor or there is no distributor at all and each cylinder has its own ... Show more content on

When the ignition switch is placed in the start position, the solenoid windings are energized and the
resulting shift lever movement causes the drive pinion gear to engage the flywheel ring gear, and
cranking takes place. When the engine starts, an overrunning clutch (part of the drive assembly)
protects the armature from too much speed until the switch is opened. At this time, a return spring
causes the pinion gear to disengage from the flywheel.
The spark plug wire carries 20,000 or more volts from the distributor cap to the spark plug. Spark plug
wires are made of various layers of materials. The fiber core, inside the spark plug wire carries the
high voltage. The older design of spark plug wires used a metallic wire to carry the high voltage. This
caused electrical interference with the radio and TV reception. Some spark plug wires have a locking
connection at the distributor cap. The distributor cap must first be removed and the terminals be
squeezed together, and then the spark plug wire can be removed from the distributor cap. To reduce
interference with radio and TV reception, ignition systems are provided with resistance in the
secondary circuit. Resistor spark plugs or special resistor type ignition cable may be used. To work
effectively in modern ignition systems, it is important that the resistor ignition cable is capable of
producing a specifically designed resistance. The cable must also have enough insulation so that

director s First Amendment rights to release and complete the documentary have been infringed upon.
Upon the basis that prior restraint is presumptively invalid by the government; the restraining order
against the film director is unfounded and infringes upon the director s rights protected under the First
Amendment. The most applicable law to apply in this situation is equity law. Unlike other laws,
judges, not legislatures make equity laws in order to provide fairness to citizens. Additionally, equity
law is based on the presumption that fairness is not always achieved through the rigid applications of
strict rules. (Trager, Russomanno, Ross, Reynolds, 2014, p. 26) The First Amendment states:

A total war is a conflict which involves bringing together resources; this includes both industrial and

zero difference between those fighting in the same war and the civilians in this period; all these people
are considered an enemy. In that case, the World War I should be taken as a total war since it was a

Most but not every parent believes that every form of child discipline is considered child abuse. When

people are not aware of is that not every style of discipline works with every child. Some children
listen and/or even learn better with specific punishments. When it comes to traditional acts of
discipline the first technique that comes to any parent is spanking. For the most part, spanking
children is not considered abuse unless the technique is overused and taken too far. Spanking is one of

By putting the child in time out, it is allowing their child to think about what they did and know to not

where the parent can see and monitor their child so they have no way of hurting them self. Parents don
t only use time out at home but in public as well. For example, when a child shoves another child, the
parents first though it to scold them and have them sit by their side for a few minutes. In no way is the
parent trying to isolate their child from their friends and having fun but instead have them take a few
minutes to learn from their mistake and then let them go back out and play with other children. In all

Pros And Cons Of Ad Hoc Routing Protocols
WIRELESS AD HOC ROUTING PROTOCOLS
Raghav Thirani , Monica Chandil
ABSTRACT: An ad hoc network is a collection of nodes which are dynamically located in such a
manner that their inter connections might change on continual basis. A routing protocol is required, to
facilitate communication inside the network by discovering routes between the nodes. This research
paper classifies various protocols and provides an overview about eight different protocols under
varied categories.
1. INTRODUCTON:
Since their emergence, wireless networks have become increasingly popular. There are currently two
kinds of wireless networks in use, namely WLAN s and Ad Hoc. WLAN s are called infrastructure
networks as they have fixed and wired gateways, whereas Ad hoc are called infrastructure less
networks as they don t have any fixed routers, all nodes in this are capable of movement and can be

It starts by throwing light on Table Driven or Proactive routing protocols, then moving forward to On
demand or Reactive routing protocols. It further discusses about Hybrid routing protocols which are a
mixture of the previous two. We end the discussion on these routing protocols by introducing the
Hierarchical routing protocols.
2. TABLE DRIVEN PROTOCOLS
Table driven routing protocols are also called as proactive routing protocols. They try to maintain the
consistent, up to date routing information from each node to every other node in the network[1].
Nodes respond to network topology changes by propagating route updates throughout the network.[1]
in this paper we discuss three proactive routng protocols namely: Optimised Link State Routing
protocol(OLSR) , Destination Sequenced Distance Vector Routing(DSDV) and Wireless routing
protocol (WRP).

A Brief Look at Four Areas of the Sound and Music Industry
Sound and Music Industry
Features of four areas of the music industry and their functions:
Music Publishers:
In the music industry a music publisher or company is an entity that develops, protects and values
music. Music publishers are responsible for the development of new music as well as taking care of
the business side allowing songwriters and composers to concentrate on their creative work.
The artist and the publisher share a symbiosis relationship because most artist or starting up
composers do not comprehend how copyright laws and royalties work so music publishers act on
behalf of artist to collect royalties and administer any copyrights the artist might own when their
compositions are used commercially.
Royalties: When an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Now that the song has been cleared the record label can produce the dance compilation album and pay
the artist royalties. If the royalties go towards a band then the money is split equally amongst members
although in many cases the songwriter will have a major percentage.
Another priority for the artist after royalties for his work is copyrights.
Usually a publisher and an artist will register their work to obtain copyrights (USA).
In the UK there is no official form that registers your work for copyrights. Instead all original music is
protected by copyright from the time it is recorded or written down in some format.
However it is important to be able to prove that you are the sole owner of you work. This can be
achieved by storing a copy of your work with a solicitor or by uploading parts of songs or ideas to
servers such as you tube thus showing evolution in your work.
As a publisher you will be at the edge of new music. As in you have the chance listen to an artists
music before its release to record labels or radio. A disadvantage of being a publisher is that you can
never guarantee success for you artists. You can invest a lot of time polishing their skills and helping
them create music but you may not be able to successfully plug or sell your artist s work. This can be
very frustrating.

Digital Film And Digital Technologies Essay
Regarding my photographic process I am somewhat bilingual, making use of both analog film and
digital technologies. I primarily shoot large format sheet film with a view camera because of the
amount of control the camera provides and the rich, descriptive negative that the process yields. The
image is output in the form of archival pigment prints which are then sprayed with a clear coat that
enhances the blacks of the print. The prints are produced using a drum scanner and large format
printers which provide a high degree of control, sharpness, and description that is imperative to my
work and not possible in the dark room. The photographs presented in my thesis exhibition reflect
semantic, semiotic, and philosophical interests. They also describe formal concerns contrasting
surfaces and architectural anomalies may create a kind of perceptual discrepancy upon first glance.
The pictures, however, are decidedly un mediated descriptions of real world phenomena. In this way,
the photographs demonstrate an interest in the ready made and my on going commitment to making
work in and of the world. In the removed sign works, I photographed residual adhesive attached to
walls after signs have been removed. Confined by the rectangle of the photographic frame or the sign
s outline the adhesive remnant, stripped of it s utility, may emerge as a kind of ready made painting. In
lieu of the expected directives on the surface of these deteriorating walls are accumulated,

Animistic Beliefs
Under the same regard as Catholics pray not only to the Lord, but to their ancestors, saints, and the
Holy Mother during times of need, and in the same regard that most Christians pray for each other
during hardships, it is acceptable for those who hold animistic beliefs to pray to alternative sources as
well. Prayers, after all, are simply the method of communicating to those beyond the reach of our
normal perceptions. There is a wide divide between communicating and worshipping. One of the
strongest principles of Christianity is the Holy Spirit, the essence of the Lord that fills all things and
inhabits all people, beckoning them to accept the divine and guiding them towards righteousness.
Through a Christianized filter of thought, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The differences between idolatry and respect are vast, but the line between them can be thin. Without
using a Christianized filter of thought, many practitioners of animistic traditions fall victim to Pagan
actions. It is easy for God s works to be misinterpreted, misused, and mistreated. Unless one can
recognize that the spirits of their belief exist solely because of the Holy Spirit placed within them by
the Lord, they risk performing idolatry and falling into polytheistic worship. However, when reviewed
with a Christianized filter of thought, one may derive different messages through scripture. In Exodus,
the Lord states that [t]hou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any
graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or
that is in the water under the earth (Exo. 20. 4 5). While not necessarily dictating that the faithful
should not believe in other spiritual entities, the Lord merely states that such entities should not be
respected above Him. Faithful should not idolize anything in the skies, the earth, or the waters,
although the skies, earth, and waters themselves may be another story. Regardless, these forces of
nature are only divine because the Lord has made them so, and nothing should be respected above the
Lord himself. These forces should not be worshipped. The Lord s faithful should not bow to them nor
serve them. However, just as the faithful are commanded to love thy neighbor, the faithful that believe
that aspects of the natural world embody spiritual entities should extend this precept to these spirits as
well. When they love thy neighbor, they should extend their love to both the physical persons in their
lives as well as to the spiritual persons in their lives, and should recognize all the while the differences
between love

Gay Marriage Thesis
Gay marriage is a very controversial issue that has emerged in our society. Depending on your
upbringing and your mentality, individuals have formed their own personal opinions and have taken
sides, either to support or to oppose the issue. Gay marriage throughout the years has sparked so much
controversy that it was brought to the United States Supreme Court, which is known to be the highest
court of all the land. It is up to the justices of the court to determine how states and society view and
treat gay marriage. Whether it being legalized throughout the country or only in certain states, it is,
now legalized and recognized as a legitimate marriage in certain state. However, although it is
recognized and states legalized gay marriage, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After hearing the case three issues that were needed to be addressed was if same sex marriage a right
for individuals to marry in each state, does the states have to grant marriage licenses to same sex
couples, and lastly must states recognize same sex marriage licenses in other jurisdictions? The courts
concluded and favored the plaintiffs, the ruling of the case was 5 4 and the majority opinion was
written by Justice Kennedy. Basically the judges in the majority believe that the fourteenth
amendment is responsible and is required to allow same sex marriages have the right to marry in all
states that states must issue marriage licenses to those of same sex, and lastly the license must be
recognized throughout all states. As you see an example of the some of the justices siding with the
plaintiffs, however there is another side that opposes the legalization of gay marriage. In the Supreme
Court justices of the courts are allowed to issue and write opinions on cases whether to favoring or
arguing against a case s ruling. In the case of Obergefell vs.Hodges, Scalia wrote a dissenting opinion
that can be considered

Theme Of Friendship In Chaim Potok s The Chosen
The theme of friendship courses through Chaim Potok s book, The Chosen. Potok desires to show the
reader what a strong friendship looks like and how it stands up to the test of time. When two people
know each other well and spend a lot of time together, there are bound to be misunderstandings,
fights, and other trials. Yet God says in His word As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens
another. (New American Standard Bible, Proverbs 27:17) Even when friendships are difficult, they
can sharpen the people involved in the friendship, like in the case of Danny and Reuven. Danny and
Reuven s friendship lasts through Danny s irrational behavior, Reuven s outbursts of anger, and Reb
Saunders s absurd beliefs. Danny and Reuven s friendship begins because of, and continues in spite of,
Danny s irrational thoughts. The reader sees Danny s irrational side in Danny and Reuven s first
meeting and in Danny s refusal to try to see from the point of view of his psychology teacher. Danny
Reuven first meet on a baseball field where Danny feels irrational hate towards Reuven. He tells
Reuven later, I wanted to walk over to you and open your head with my bat (Potok, 65). Even though
Danny begins their acquaintance with harmful thoughts toward Reuven, an unlikely friendship forms
between them. When faced with a psychology professor who believes differently about psychology
than he does, Danny does not try to see from the professor s side, instead, he irrationally only thinks
about how miserable he feels learning from the professor s approach to psychology. (186). When
Reuven approaches Danny and tries to reason with him, that he should try to like it, Danny blows up;
however, Reuven remains ready to forgive as he does not want to lose their friendship. Through
Danny s harmful thoughts and irrational feelings toward Reuven and others, Reuven and Danny s
friendship stays strong. After Danny s original murderous intents towards Reuven, only Reuven s
anger stands in the way of their friendship. Reuven has outbursts of anger towards Danny when he
comes to visit Reuven in the hospital and towards Danny s father. When Danny comes to apologize to
Reuven, Reuven tells him For my part, you can go to hell (61). Even after

The Pros And Cons Of The Acquisition Of Biological Weapons
Given the difficulties to acquire and develop of biological weapons, the DHS likely saw the
acquisition of the REBS as unnecessary. Obtaining a successful biological program is difficult as seen
with past attempts by governments. Both the United States and Russia were two of the best equipped
countries to develop such weaponry and devoted plentiful resources to their programs. Even with the
large influx money, both countries encountered difficult hurdles (Parachini, 2001). If a terrorist
organization were to obtain a biological weapon, the support of a state government would be needed.
The multiple barriers needed to acquire biological weapons coupled with cheaper, more accessible
options dissuades terrorists from perusing biological

Gardening And The Life Cycle Of A Plant
I did my project with Taylor McNeil and we decided to focus our world on gardening. When we were
assigned this project, we brainstormed some different ideas that our world could revolve around. The
first idea that we had was the season of Fall. We thought that it would be a great idea to revolve our
world around fall because it was the season that we are currently in but then we decided to do
something different. Some of our other ideas included birthdays, recycling, and gardens. We then
narrowed it down between two choices, gardening and recycling. Both of us are passionate about our
environment and so these topics were extremely intriguing. We then decided that we were the most
interested in gardening and selected it to be our world. Gardening is a pretty broad topic so we
focussed more on the reason behind gardening and the life cycle of a plant. When looking at all the
Common Core Standards there were many standards that could be incorporated into a lesson about
gardening, so many that we chose six of them. The first one we chose was CCSS.ELA
LITERACY.RL.2.1. In this standard, students would ask and answer questions demonstrating that they
understand the text. A way to incorporate this into a classroom would be to ask students questions,
about gardening and plants, before you read aloud a book about gardens to them. Instead of having the
students answer the questions right away, have them think about these questions while you read aloud
the book. After you finish reading

  • 2. Manslaughter And Involuntary Manslaughter dangerous resulting in a death of another human being. Manslaughter is the opposite of murder, manslaughter can also be described in two different ways, being either voluntary or involuntary. Voluntary manslaughter is when the act of murder is committed in either the heat of the passion or in the defense of yourself or others (Benish). Meaning if somebody broke into a house and had a gun, then the owner of the home could shoot the man, because he or she is defending themselves in the situation. Involuntary manslaughter is when a killing is unintentional resulting from an unlawful misdemeanor act or a low level felony (Benish), such as a drunk driver wrecking a car, killing the passengers in the vehicle. Both these class A felonies result in death of another human being, therefore being the reason why the sentence is automatically 25 years to life. Rape also falls in the category of class A, considering it can lead to murder or manslaughter and is considered a severe felony. Rape is a type of sexual assault, either in the form of sexual intercourse or other forms of sexual penetration carried out against a person without the persons consent (Rape). Some people may argue that rape should fall more into the class B category, mainly because it is not as severe as murder or manslaughter because it is not resulting in a dead human being. In the United States there is reported rape every 6.2 minutes , adding up to tens of millions of rape victims (Solnit). How many of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Throughout the period 1855 to 1954, opposition to Russian governments was a common occurrence due to dissatisfaction of many civilians lives and the lack of development seen throughout Russia. However, as much as there were some successful movements throughout 1905 such as the Bolsheviks gaining support and eventually gaining power, there were also several failed attempts due to intense use of violence, terror and censorship by the state. It is arguable that whether opposition was successful, merely came down to the strength of the opposition group or the weakness of the government in power. Lenin in Power 1917 1924 In October 1917, there was enough opposition for Lenin to take power as leader of the Bolsheviks. The Provisional Government provided him with no majority support, with the Bolsheviks winning 24% and the SRs gaining 54% of votes. • 28. Descriptive Essay About Waffle House Every Friday my coworker, Kayleigh, and I always go and eat at Waffle House. It became a tradition and my aunt works there so it s a welcoming environment. Usually after eating dinner we will go to Walmart where we always end up spending money. Going out every Friday gives us time to just relax and gossip after work. Since we are going right after work, we always have our hideous, yellow KOA shirts on. Sometimes people will recognize us from work and start conversations about the campground. I am honestly not a very outgoing person, so I try to avoid these conversations as much as possible. When turning down the first aisle, I managed to make weird eye contact with this man that had on a Denny s uniform and had several tattoos. I never thought anything about it until I seen him again shortly after leaving the makeup section. I informed Kayleigh about the man and that he was still behind us. Why would this man be following us around the store and not be saying anything? I spotted one of my friends and that was the perfect opportunity to show this man that we know other people in the store. The bones become brittle, the muscles and tendons atrophy, hair falls out, and our mental faculties begin to diminish. It can be difficult when it comes to aging but at times it is a beautiful, natural process of life. With age comes many difficulties and changes. One of them is a very serious and debilitating change that can impact one who is affected as well as those who may be caring for them and their families. This change is that of the disease Alzheimer s. Alzheimer s is a progressive disease that destroys memory and other important mental functions. This disease affects more than 5 million Americans and continues to increase. With this disease on the increase, it begs the question if there is a way to prevent this debilitating disease or at least some kind of early diagnosis. Though there is no concrete way to determine the etiology of Alzheimer s unless through autopsy of the human brain, there are ways to aid in the early diagnosis of this disease amongst the aging population for better and improved prognosis. Awareness is necessary in understanding this disease. As humans continue to live longer, the risk for many illness and deficiencies begin to present them. • 30. Why Potato Is Becoming The Most Important Crop Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is the fourth highest produced crop in the world and the most important non cereal food crop, with world production estimated to be over 350 million tons in 2013 (http://faostat.fao.org). Potato is a versatile crop, and is utilized as not only food and feed but also in industrial materials and fuels (Kikuchi et al. 2015). Potato is becoming the most important crop in developing countries and its production is expanding more rapidly than that of most other crops primarily because of increasing industrialization (Guchi et al. 2015). Potatoes in India are grown under varied climatic conditions ranging from tropics, subtropics to temperate highlands. Consequently, the spectrum of insect pests and diseases is very large and limit potato production upto 85% depending upon the weather/region. Fungal disease plays a pivotal role for yield losses. Late blight, caused by Phytophthora infestans (oomycete pathogen), is the most destructive disease of potato worldwide (CIP, 1989). During the last two decades, disease has increased globally and the average global crop loss of potato has increased upto 21.8% (Fry and Goodwin, 1997; James, 1981; Forbes, 2012). Worldwide losses due to late blight are estimated to exceed $5 billion annually and thus the pathogen is regarded as a threat to global food security (Latijnhouwers et al. 2004). The mystery of Zhou and Mao s relationship is not that of Mao s sadism, which has been exposed by numerous writers, but Zhou s submission. Their relationship, and Zhou s role in Communist China, and therefore the Cultural Revolution is questioned by few historians other than Gao Wenqian, Andrew Nathan, and Jonathan Spence. The historians Spence and Nathan find Gao s book riveting, and add value to his already credible narrative. As someone who experienced Chinese history through the archives, it is only right that Gao s book is deemed credible in evaluating the life of Zhou Enlai. Andrew Nathan portrays the famous relationship between the two leaders as mutually dependent on one another, yet simultaneously unequal. Points was a simple concept but was not reliable and needed adjustment and replacement of components seemed constant. Today a magnetic sensor relays a signal to the computer which in turn sends the voltage to the selected cylinder to ignite the fuel/air mixture. There are not mechanical parts to fail or become corroded and brittle. There are many different parts to an ignition system. These parts differ between modern and old ignition systems. When the ignition switch is placed in the start position, the solenoid windings are energized and the resulting shift lever movement causes the drive pinion gear to engage the flywheel ring gear, and cranking takes place. When the engine starts, an overrunning clutch (part of the drive assembly) protects the armature from too much speed until the switch is opened. At this time, a return spring causes the pinion gear to disengage from the flywheel. The spark plug wire carries 20,000 or more volts from the distributor cap to the spark plug. Spark plug wires are made of various layers of materials. The fiber core, inside the spark plug wire carries the high voltage. The older design of spark plug wires used a metallic wire to carry the high voltage. This caused electrical interference with the radio and TV reception. Some spark plug wires have a locking connection at the distributor cap. The distributor cap must first be removed and the terminals be squeezed together, and then the spark plug wire can be removed from the distributor cap. This research paper classifies various protocols and provides an overview about eight different protocols under varied categories. 1. Unless one can recognize that the spirits of their belief exist solely because of the Holy Spirit placed within them by the Lord, they risk performing idolatry and falling into polytheistic worship. However, when reviewed with a Christianized filter of thought, one may derive different messages through scripture. In Exodus, the Lord states that [t]hou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth (Exo. 20. 4 5). Faithful should not idolize anything in the skies, the earth, or the waters, although the skies, earth, and waters themselves may be another story. Regardless, these forces of nature are only divine because the Lord has made them so, and nothing should be respected above the Lord himself. These forces should not be worshipped. The Lord s faithful should not bow to them nor serve them. However, just as the faithful are commanded to love thy neighbor, the faithful that believe that aspects of the natural world embody spiritual entities should extend this precept to these spirits as well. Potok desires to show the reader what a strong friendship looks like and how it stands up to the test of time. When two people know each other well and spend a lot of time together, there are bound to be misunderstandings, fights, and other trials. Yet God says in His word As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. (New American Standard Bible, Proverbs 27:17) Even when friendships are difficult, they can sharpen the people involved in the friendship, like in the case of Danny and Reuven. Danny and Reuven s friendship lasts through Danny s irrational behavior, Reuven s outbursts of anger, and Reb Saunders s absurd beliefs. Danny and Reuven s friendship begins because of, and continues in spite of, Danny s irrational thoughts. The reader sees Danny s irrational side in Danny and Reuven s first meeting and in Danny s refusal to try to see from the point of view of his psychology teacher. Danny Reuven first meet on a baseball field where Danny feels irrational hate towards Reuven. He tells Reuven later, I wanted to walk over to you and open your head with my bat (Potok, 65). Even though Danny begins their acquaintance with harmful thoughts toward Reuven, an unlikely friendship forms between them. When faced with a psychology professor who believes differently about psychology than he does, Danny does not try to see from the professor s side, instead, he irrationally only thinks about how miserable he feels learning from the professor s approach to psychology. When we were assigned this project, we brainstormed some different ideas that our world could revolve around. The first idea that we had was the season of Fall. We thought that it would be a great idea to revolve our world around fall because it was the season that we are currently in but then we decided to do something different.
