parameters of a PID controller in an Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) system by the approach of
Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Differential Evolution (DE) Techniques is presented. This
paper demonstrated in detail how to employ the PSO and DE methods to search efficiently the optimal
PID controller parameters of an AVR system. A MATLAB simulation has been performed. The
proposed approach had superior features, including easy implementation, stable convergence
characteristic, and good computational efficiency. In order to assist estimating the performance of the
PID controller using PSO and DE, Minimum Error Integral (MEI) criterion Integral Absolute Error
(IAE), Integral Square Error (ISE), Integral Time Absolute Error (ITAE) and Integral Time Square
Error (ITSE) are used.

Genetic transformation occurs when genes are inserted into another gene to change the organism s
trait (Weedman2016). In this experiment, we proceeded to transform the E. coli bacteria with a gene
that contained green fluorescent protein. The green fluorescent protein is used in experiments because
it beams a green color under a UV light (Chalfie2008). Typically, it is used to mark the expression of
genes, which is why it serves as the symbol for all gene expressions (Tsien1998). In the experiment,

caregivers to discuss what their plan was and whether or not they were able to complete it. Then, we
went straight into this week s topic on positive and negative self talk and ways to reduce stress before
it occurs. Lastly, we had a planned breathing exercise at the end of today s group session. The group
session started off by caregivers sharing last week s action plan. Most of the caregivers were able to

convincing her to visit a hospital he drives away and that is where he notices Julie who requests for

care for his patients, but also the persistent judgment Iwan has to face as a result of being a great
