caused the oil and gas to start leaking into the pipe leading to the surface of the rig. The second failure

because they did pressure tests, which they did not read properly. This made the crew believe the oil

how I don t listen to her. I always listen to her but not when we argue. I usually avoid her when we are

you should trust in something to connect dots and make future better. His timing and pace makes his
speech so comfortable to the listeners that every word is familiar to the audience and clear in meaning.
However, the second story lets the audience to truly measure their success. He brings pathos from the
audience in two separate ways. First, he explains about the trouble with his Macintosh. How he got

People, Places, and Events Reflection
I attended a student organization and development workshop series which was held on February 4,
2014 at Russell union. The topic for the workshop series was Building an Exclusive Campus and the
speaker was Paul Bradley, a worker at the student activities office. This series scheduled to start at
7:00p.m. but it was started some minutes after seven due the lateness of the attendees. I attended this
program because I thought it would help me learn about the different organizations on campus, and
how to network through socialization which would help me to easily transition from college into
medical school and blend with the others without feeling any different. Thus, to be able to make new
friends, get to know people first before judging them, and last but not the least, learn of the many
organizations and the important role I can play in them if I become a member to promote the
organizations purpose existence. The speaker talked about how to promote an organization by making
it open to everyone and not limiting it to a certain group of race, color, religion, gender and so on. By
attending this sold series, I learned about how we easily stereotype a person or a group of individuals
whom we have never spoken to but easily judge them because of their color, race, or background. The

The Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach
Introduction Adolescents are a population that can be at risk in regards to drug and alcohol abuse. A
program called the Community Reinforcement Approach was created and later adapted into the
Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach in the 1970s to address problems adolescents face
when it comes to drug or alcohol abuse ( Intervention Summary Adolescent Community
Reinforcement Approach (A CRA) ). The Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach works
with adolescents from the ages twelve to twenty five in both outpatient and residential settings. There
are three parts to the program; the client has intervention alone first, next the guardian has intervention
alone, and finally they have intervention together. It addresses mainly alcohol and drug abuse but also
deals with mental health, homelessness, and other behaviors that can lead to substance abuse. The
main focus of A CRA is designed to change certain aspects of the participants environment to make it
so that non using behavior will be more rewarding than using behavior (Garner, et al., 2009). This
program has been tested against multiple other approaches and it is usually the most cost effective
option, making it a desirable program when the success rate is also factored in. Many rehabilitation
facilities utilize this approach, for example the Maryhaven treatment center in Columbus, Ohio.

originated from the New Haven Boston Collaborative Depression Project (Fairburn et al 1993). It

Chlamydia trachomatis is the most common bacteria that cause sexual transmitted genital infections.

and cervicitis in females. Many patients are asymptomatic and thus provide an ongoing reservoir for
infection. It allows ongoing transmission and allows silent disease. C.trachomatis infection can cause
the scarring of the Fallopian tubes, ovaries, and endometrial lining. It results in an increase risk of
future ectopic pregnancy and tubal infertility. Thus this bacterium is estimated to be the most costly

females, age 15 24 years. Women are most likely to get a Chlamydial genitourinary infection and are
