Pros And Cons Of Women In The Military
Women in the Military Women being in the military has become more prevalent in the last few
decades, but are they helping or hurting the military by doing so? Women being allowed in the
military dates all the way back to World War I where women would serve as nurses to aid wounded
soldiers (Wood). Now, women are allowed to serve in different roles, combat being one of them.
There is controversy whether the military is a place for women, but research shows pros and cons to
both sides. Even though women were not allowed to enlist in the military until World War I, they
would disguise themselves as men in earlier wars such as the Revolutionary, Civil and Mexican War in
order to be apart of the military. The Navy and Marine Corps were ... Show more content on

Although, one concern for women being allowed to serve in a combat occupation is sexual
harassment. The issue regarding sexual harassment has become more prevalent in the past decade
because military personnel is having more faith in the military to investigate such accusations
accordingly. Just last year, 6,131 sexual assault reports were filed with the DoD. In 2007, the number
of sexual assault filings were half of what they were last year which makes the DoD believe the
implications about sexual harassment they have put into place are working (Whitlock). Whitlock s
article states that an extreme amount of alcohol consumption is one of the leading causes of sexual
harassment cases, but there is no specificity on whether the cases are against men or women. Sexual
harassment has often been focused more on women being victims, but men can be victims of such
crimes as well. That is why the military has implemented a variety of methods into the regular military
training regarding sexual harassment and the repercussions of such actions. On another note, there are
studies that show women are more organized, creative thinkers and have better social sensitivity skills
than men (Haring). Haring s work explains that women are better at reading people s emotions,
therefore using that intel to make more

Young Enterprise M1 Essay
Unit 19: Developing Teams in Business Young Enterprise M1 Compare the roles of different members
of the team When we initially discussed how we would assign the roles within the business, we all
agreed that it would be fair to spread the responsibilities equally and so therefore decided that each
member would be equal in the business and that we would not each have specific roles. At the
beginning of starting up WetPhish we decided to use the Belbin Team roles to assess which areas each
individual would be suited towards. Once deciding on which team roles brought out our strengths, we
were appointed different tasks to complete to achieve our first objectives of the business which
included market research, starting up our financial ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One other member of the Wetphish team was had the co ordinate role and therefore had mature and
confident qualities and was able to clarify our business goals and promote decision making. This type
of team role would be best suited for the IT director as they were able to outline what we need for our
website design and also held group meetings to discuss the decisions we should make in terms of what
we each wanted the site to look like and what the content should be. One of the other members of our
team fit into the shaper team role and was found to be able to thrive on pressure and challenge
themselves and other members of our team. This drive and encouragement meant that we were able to
overcome certain obstacles in the business. This role would best suit the traditional role of a managing
director as it is very important for the manager to drive other team members and be encouraging.
However, the allowable weakness off this team role was that she was sometimes blunt with other and
had the risk of offending others but felt that these steps had to be taken in order to get the jobs done.
Another member of WetPhish fit into the monitor evaluator Belbin team role which meant he was able
to make strategic decisions and was able to see all options. These qualities would have best suited a
HR role within the business as it is important that the HR director is discerning and judges

William Blake s The Tyger And The Lamb
Two Sides to Every Coin Though the ages many writers have come and gone, and with them brought
many ideas or viewpoints on life and the human soul. Undoubtedly, William Blake was indeed one of
those monumental writers who paved the way for new thinking. A thinking of the human soul and two
intricate parts that join to fulfill a soul. Both pairs of the soul are illustrated in both The Tyger and The
Lamb. Both poems being commonly referred to as staples of poetry, can allude to different ideas. Man
believe they deal with the questions such as, who is the creator? and why did he create us? Rather I
believe that while yes those are key thoughts with thin these poems, there is a deeper meaning,
revealing the inner depths of our souls and the capacity to grow well and proper, or become a beast,
which we all have dominion over in each of our lives. With Blake s precise use of structure, theme,
and literary devices, both poems are brought into a new light and can be easily juxtaposed to
illuminate the truth of the life we live. Before examining each poem you have to know Blake and the
way he wrote. A major collection of poems, Songs of Innocence and Experience, summarizes Blake s
main philosophy of the human soul. In which Blake believed that each person had to pass through an
innocent state of life, like a lamb, and through the molding process of our external experiences,
mirroring a tiger (page 262). Each poem from either side represents the innocence or

The rivalry between the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers are starting to pick up nowadays.
Many also believe that they are two of the top teams in the league today and could meet in the playoffs

Packers are not far behind with a 4 2 record (3rd) in the same division. But both are also have been

Powerball Lottery Research Paper
The chances of winning the Powerball lottery is one in 175 million. You would have a greater chance
to be struck by lightning, which is one in three thousand or being killed by a shark, one in 3.7 million.
You would literally have greater luck dying from a comet and being killed by a shark at the same time
than finding those six lucky numbers.....[good pause] Regardless, thousands of people buy a lottery
ticket in the hopes of winning million. My family was similar to these individuals, hoping to somehow
defy the seemingly absolute laws of mathematics and statistics. However, instead of the lottery, we
tried to find success as immigrants in the land of opportunity. We suffered a culture shock moving
from the cosmopolitan city of Hong Kong to the rural outskirts of Indianapolis. The towering and
majestic skyscrapers were squashed into two story homes surrounded by a sea of wheat. Despite our
ambitions, we had few skills to aid us in our pursuit of success. The money that we had borrowed
from relatives manifested in an unsuccessful restaurant, occupied with the hopes of success rather than
tangible customers. I suffered linguistic shortcomings, failing to articulate the words of English that
my classmate so eloquently and effortlessly weaved. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Chicago School Professional Psychology
Written Assignment Sexual Misconduct The Chicago School Professional Psychology Aysen Lengerli
Topcu Sexual Misconduct Sexual misconduct, as a sub type of sexual violence, refers to the wide
range of sexual act. As a general definition, according to World Health Organization (WHO) (2012)
sexual violence is defined as: any sexual act, attempt to obtain a sexual act, unwanted sexual
comments or advances, or acts to traffic, or otherwise directed, against a person s sexuality using
coercion, by any person regardless of their relationship to the victim, in any setting, including but not
limited to home and work. On the other hand, this is quite broad definition and more detailed
description is needed especially for the school, or institutional policies. For example, according to
Yale University policies (2014) the sexual misconduct definition is: a range of behaviors including
sexual assault, sexual harassment, intimate partner violence, stalking, voyeurism, and any other
conduct of a sexual nature that is nonconsensual, or has the purpose or effect of threatening,
intimidating, or coercing a person. In fact, sexual misconduct and harassment include variety of
unsolicited behaviors, it could be difficult to display all related sexual harassment behaviors in any
policies, the ethical codes or even legal statute. For example, along with the development of
technology, new types of sexually violent behavior have arisen. Without a mutual agreement, taking

The Thin Blue Line Directed By Errol Morris
What Is the Truth
Our need to believe what we want to believe is stronger than our need for the truth. I agree with this
quote based on personal experience. The movie, The Thin Blue Line directed by Errol Morris, is an
example of believing in what we want rather than the truth. Randall Adams a wrongly convicted man,
David Harris a criminal let off the hook, and people such as Marshall Touchton and Melvyn Carson
Bruder gives support to this belief. Randall Adams is the epitome of being in the wrong place at the
wrong time. Randall met David when he needed a ride to go get gas, he did not however imagine that
he would unintentionally be set up for murder. I kept telling them what happened and they didn t want
to believe me Randall said. David shot a police officer and killed him and then blamed it on Randall.
When eye witnesses described a man that looked like Randall and David knew he could get away with
the crime. To me none of the eye witnesses were very trustworthy, but when that s the only thing you
have to go on then you have to take what you can get. This relates to a recent tragedy that happened in
my family. My cousin, Ronnie, was accused of raping his step daughter Shyanne. No one believed
him except for the people that matter like the jury and the judge. Shyanne somehow got all of the
court to believe her based on her statement and with the help of her grandparents who believed her. I
do not think there was much evidence in the case but statements from the

Personal Note On Leadership And Leadership
1.0 Introduction
All individual has some dreams and goals for his/her betterment, improvement or successful future.
But, unfortunately, only having ideas and objectives is not sufficient. We need to take practical steps,
make a change, and works to get them in a better way, and these measures and actions demand a
different kind of knowledge, skills and talent to become successful. After my encounter with the
module, I was able to make some personal change. This module has changed my views, even my
philosophy of life being a leader and how to manage change.

The model has three distinct stages. The first phase is called endings. I had to let go of the way I waste
my time on irrelevant things that have affected me in the past. For example during my MSc degree, I
spent a lot of time that almost cost me meeting up with the deadline that would have affected my
result. During this process, I experienced mixed emotions as I was very frustrated because I won t be
able to do things at my convenience time anymore. I went through real pain and gut wrenching,
mainly because I can t do things at my convenience time anymore. Although, I was well prepared for
managing the change as it s for my betterment.
The second stage was stressful for me as I experience higher workload with my new system of
working and living my life. I suffered low morale and low productivity on my assignment and things I
do. Finally, the third stage, the new beginning. I was happy to embrace the change and building on the
skills I needed to work successfully in a new way is my priority. I saw signs of high energy in things I
do e.g. not getting stressed up at the end of day, I become more efficient at setting and achieving
priorities and objectives and was able to learn more about my strengths and weakness.
Making this changes has benefited my life as it s given me extra time to spend with my family, spend
time on things I enjoyed, devote the hour of my education and work. I learned how to delegate, having

Tort Reform
In the United States justice system, a tort is best defined as an injury or loss that was committed
deliberately or negligently by a single person or an entity (Crane). The history of tort law can be
traced back to the initial trespass of property or person, but it was not until the 18th century that the
distinction between intentional and unintentional acts was made (Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia).
In recent years, tort law has become the center of scrutiny through the increase in tort costs, insurance
liability costs, and the number of frivolous lawsuits made. This scrutiny has lead to the creation of tort
reform. Tort reform is a movement to reshape the way consumers can access the courts by restricting
their right to sue and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They also claim that tort reform bills are giving unprecedented immunity to certain industries and that
this type of bill in unconstitutional. Another key counter argument made by the opposition is the
denial of the existence of litigation explosion that the advocates have presented. They show that from
1993, instead of seeing the increase claimed by the advocates, there has actually been a decrease of
tort filings by 5%. They also further there counter argument by showing that the numbers of civil trials
have dropped by 47% during the same time frame (ATLA). Though these arguments are mainly
presented to counter and invalidate the advocates of tort reformation, the opponents have also
presented other unique arguments in opposition of tort reform. One strong argument that the
opponents have put forth to the public is the argument that corporations and insurance companies are
the worst abusers of the litigations system and setting forth new regulations that would protect them
from excessive litigation would just be another benefit. These corporations are using their vast
resources to unfairly delay trials, pursue frivolous appeals, and contest claims in which liability is
clear. This reasoning supports the opposition as there have been suggestions of tort reform where the
loser pays (Wikipedia). If a reformation such as this one was passed into the system, then private
citizens would be afraid to sue the

Response: Anidulafungin is a semi synthetic echinocandin with antifungal activity. This agent is
selective for fungal cells as it inhibits glucan sythase enzyme and therefore inhibits the synthesis of 1,
3 beta D glucan which is essential for the fungal cell wall. According to Micromedix anidulafungin is
approved for adults and pediatrics older than 16 years to treat candida related infections.
Anidulafungin is administered as a continuous IV infusion and has good efficacy against Candida

with azoles refractory infections and in those with renal impairment. However, this agent is not

The Uk Parliament Is Increasingly Dominated by the Executive
Parliament is increasingly dominated by the executive . Discuss [16]
The word parliament derives from a word loosely translated as to talk or to deliberate . The UK
Parliament consists officially of the two Houses of Parliament: the Lords and the Commons and the
monarch, which by convention, delegates his or her authority to a group of ministers known as the
executive. The role of parliament is mainly to legislate and to govern the United Kingdom through
elected representatives. However the executive has a special role over the legislatures and it has been
argued that the UK Parliament has become increasingly dominated by the executive.
The executive is made up of the Prime Minister (PM) acting in place on the monarch and a group of ...

If a member decides to vote against the party, sanctions can be imposed and in a serious situation
when a member rebels, the PM can dismiss or appoint the member to a different position. Therefore
the PM can ensure that the executive s priorities and views are expressed in the legislatures.
However the executive s control in this regard is not total. There have been headline grabbing notices
of member s rebelling against the government position and resigning their position. For example
Robin Cook, then leader of the Commons and labour MP resigned his post due to the government s
position on Iraq. More recently in March 2008, Brown s government saw rebellion and the opposition
saw resignations over the issue of the failure to implement a promised referendum on a new EU
reform treaty. As we can see the executive s dominance of the members of the legislature is not total
but rebellions are a rarity.
The power of the PM to appoint cabinet ministers allows him or her to shape policy and therefore
legislation. The Prime Minister appoints the speaker of the house and the Lord Chancellor among
others. In this way, the PM and appointees of the executive can have considerable sway over the
legislature. The Lord Chancellor serves as a leading figure in the House of Lords but also chairs and
attends executive meetings. Although the PM usually appoints ministers from his or her party and
those who whom he or she has a good accord with, this is not always the

Societal Values In Social Work
Being in a social work field, ethical principles and values are significant. Societal values can be
similar to social work ethics, but they can also differ. Our own beliefs may go completely against the
Social Work Code of Ethics. At the same time, they also may align with the ethics perfectly. Out of the
seven societal values that we were given, I have lined them up with the social work principle values
like this: integrity with integrity; importance of human relationships with privacy; social justice with
equality and social justice; dignity and worth of the person with cultural diversity and freedom; lastly
competence with knowledge building.
According to the NASW Code of Ethics (2008), Social workers behave in a trustworthy manner. The
societal value that falls under this principle is integrity. I feel like this societal value is the same as the
ethical principles and values. Social workers act honestly and responsibly and promote ethical
practices (NASW, 2008). This standard is important in being honest and having solid moral principles
which comply with integrity. Integrity is crucial to both societal values and social work principles.
Another important societal value that also aligns with NASW Code of Ethics in privacy. Privacy falls
under importance of human relationships. Social workers seek to strengthen relationships among
people in a purposeful effort (NASW, 2008). Every client and every person want privacy and they
deserve it. This ethical standard

Essay On American Flag Desecration
The Constitution of the United States of America is something that all Americans value greatly; it
protects our basic human rights by forbidding the government of violating them. Recently, there has
been much discussion about a possible violation of said rights, specifically creating a law to ban the
desecration of the American flag. President elect Donald Trump recently stated his opinion on social
media about the issue, however he proposed inconceivable punishments for the action. This issue of
desecrating the American flag is deeply rooted in American history, including multiple Supreme Court
decisions.
The Supreme Court has twice ruled that the desecration of the American flag was a form of free
speech and is protected by the first amendment. The first Amendment states, Congress shall make no
law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the
freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the
Government for a redress of grievances. The constitution clearly states that the people have the rights

offensive and baffling for various reasons. Being that the Supreme Court has ruled that desecrating the
flag is legal and an expression of speech, Trump certainly should not be giving such consequences for
something that is entirely legal. If flag burning were to become illegal, a loss of citizenship and a year
in jail would be extremely harsh and an unreasonable punishment, perhaps instead a less excessive
punishment such as a small

Chromium Essay
Chromium, the seventh most abundant element on earth is a transition metal from group VI B .It is
found in nature as the bound form constituting approximately 0.1 0.3 mg.g 1 of the earth s crust. The
name of the element is derived from the Greek word chroma meaning color, because many of its
compounds are intensely colored. Cr is able to exist in several oxidation states, of which the trivalent
Cr (III) and hexavalent Cr (VI) species are the most stable and abundant forms (Zayed Terry et al.,
2003).
The most stable form of chromium is its trivalent oxidation state which is primarily found geologically
as chromite (FeCr2O4) (Cervantes et al., 2001). Cr (III) is naturally occurring, whereas Cr (VI) is of
anthropogenic origin. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The deficiency of chromium has been implicated in impaired insulin action, which can cause glucose
intolerance, elevated glucose blood levels, diabetes, elevated cholesterol levels, obesity and heart
diseases, as well as other conditions not yet documented. Chromium is considered the cofactor for all
the actions of the hormone insulin, primarily the regulation of carbohydrate, protein and fat
metabolism. Signs of chromium deficiency are widespread; they tend to be associated with aging, and
are consistent with the progressive decline in body and organ content of chromium from birth onward.
Chromium deficiency impairs glucose utilization and disturbs protein and lipid metabolism
The biological effect of chromium is highly dependent on its oxidation state. Cr(VI) is highly toxic
and has been shown to be a mutagen and carcinogen, whereas Cr(III) is considered to be relatively
innocuous, probably due to the inability of Cr(III) to penetrate cells (Cervantes et al., 2001; Codd et
al., 2001).Chromate alone does not react with DNA in vitro, however, in the presence of reductants a
wide variety of DNA lesions, including Cr DNA adducts, DNA DNA crosslinks, DNA protein
crosslinks and oxidative damage occurs (Codd et al., 2001).
Under normal physiological conditions, Cr6+ reacts spontaneously with the intracellular reductants
(e.g. ascorbate and glutathione) to generate the short lived intermediates Cr5+ and/or Cr4+ free
radicals and the end product Cr3+

How Is George Patton Successful
General George Smith Patton {Good} Old Blood and Guts
The great General George Smith Patton said that A good solution applied with vigor now is better than
a perfect solution applied ten minutes later. Patton was a great leader and an even better strategist;
although, he was a ruthless man who had a love for war and death. While General George Patton s

George Smith Patton always had a lifelong interest in the military and war. Patton was born on the

The Standards And Frameworks Of International And National...
There are international and national standards and frameworks for assuring non financial or
sustainability disclosures. ISAE 3000 and AA1000AS are two international standards that are most
referred globally. Particularly in Australia, pursuant to section 227B of the Australian Securities and
Investments Commission Act 2001, The Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AUASB) creates a
standard on assurance engagements which is known as ASAE 3000 Assurance Engagements Other
than Audits or Reviews of Historical Financial Information.
ISAE 3000

Providing an assurance standard that aligns non financial aspects with financial reporting, AA1000AS
places its emphasis on stakeholder concerns and future performance of the organisations. Evaluating
the nature and extent to which an organisation sticks to the AccountAbility Principles is the objective
of AA1000AS.
Unlike ISAE3000, AA1000AS is not limited only for professional accountants. It can be used by

ASAE 3000
As mentioned above, ASAE 3000 Assurance Engagements Other than Audits or Reviews of Historical
Financial Information was created by The Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AUASB). The
AUASB, established under section 227A of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission
Act 200, is an independent statutory committee of the Australian Government. The standard started to
be effective for assurance engagement on or after 1 January 2015.
This Australian standard conforms with its international standard which is ISAE 3000, therefore
compliance with this standard enables compliance with ISAE 3000.
However, for the purpose of reflecting assurance engagements requirements in Australia, this standard
has been modified hence it contains some differences from ISAE 3000. Terminology and definitions
used in Australia are incorporated in this standard. Some paragraphs that are not in ISAE 3000 have

The Wing Safety Office At Xyz Afb
Full Range Leadership Model Essay
Introduction
An organization s efficiency and effectiveness can be solely traced to its leader. When a team within in
an organization is found to be at fault, it is a leader s duty to turn it around. In this particular case, the
Wing Safety Office at XYZ AFB needs to rebuild its team into a cohesive unit in order to successfully
attack the safety issues distressing the base. Among other noted events, their highlighted failures lie
within the high rate of off base traffic accidents in relation to service members and their families. By
developing a clear strategy using three Full Range Leadership Model [FRLM] behaviors, this safety
office can ultimately achieve purposeful unity. This paper will discuss the idea of using
transformational and transactional leadership in order to fully understand and conquer this safety
office s meager performance. The safety office is currently comprised of four members: MSgt
Newscomb, TSgt Tilley, SSgt Green and Mr. East. Each person contributes to the organization in a
different and valuable way, which can be attributed to their personality/behaviors and position.
Behaviors of the individuals can be categorized using the FRLM, which helps a leader s approach to
solving a organizational problem. Starting with MSgt Newscomb, his actions fall into the Laissez
Faire [LF] realm of the FRLM. According to Arenas, Connelly, and Williams (2014), a LF leader is
often absent from work meetings/obligations and may

Research Paper On Chromatography
Chromatography media selection
By Catherine Shaffer M.Sc.
Chromatography is a technique for separation of mixtures. The name combines the greek chroma, or
color, with graphein, to write. The technique was invented in 1900 by Mikhail Tsvet, who used it to
write the colors of plant pigments like chlorophyll carotenes, and xanthophylls. He did that by
dissolving the plant mixtures in a fluid, or mobile phase, and allowing it to flow through a solid
material called a stationary phase. The components of the mixture flow through the stationary phase
material at different rates, creating waves or bands. Originally, those bands were detected by visible
color differences. Detection methods are now based on the chemical and physical properties of the
molecules being separated, including but not limited to color, UV absorbance, size, charge, and
hydrophobicity.
In modern chromatographic separations, the stationary phase comes in the form of media, either pre
packed in a chromatography column, or added by the user to the separation apparatus. The choice of
media depends on the type of molecule being separated, the means of separation, the purpose and
scale of separation, and the desired purity of the separated sample.
Generally, the material used in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Contributions Of Thomas Hobbes
Thomas Hobbes was an English philosopher, scientist, and historian
Hobbes contributed to modern psychology and laid the foundations of modern sociology by
attempting to explain human motivation and social organization with his principle of Mechanism
Mechanism is the view that everything can be explained in terms of the causal relations of material
objects
Basically, Hobbes believed that there is an internal physical process that occurs before any human
action can take place, though he was not sure if that internal process took place in the brain or the
muscles
John Locke was an English philosopher and political theorist
In his Essay Concerning Human Understanding, he described the self as a blank page only after one
has accumulated experience is the page filled with knowledge and identity (a concept known as tabula
rasa)
Locke believed that knowledge was neither innate nor acquired, but rather the accumulation of facts
derived from sensory experience
These ideas formed the basis of modern behaviorism theories
George Berkeley was one of the most famous British Empiricists and is considered the Father of
Modern Idealism
His biggest contributions to modern psychology were the concepts of idealism and immaterialism
Idealism is the belief that everything that exists either is a mind, or depends on a mind for its existence
in other words, we perceive only ideas
Berkeley also defended the concept of immaterialism, or, the claim that matter does not exist

Phantom Limb Syndrome
Phantom limb syndrome is an extraordinary condition that is caused by amputating a limb or being
born without a limb (Flor, 2002); This condition affects approximately 80% to 90% of patients who
have had a limb amputated (Flor, 2002). The first documented case of phantom limb syndrome was in
the mid 16th century (Nikolajsen Jensen, 2001). The description was given by a French military
surgeon by the name of Ambroise Paré (1510 1590) when he noticed that some of his injured patients
would express that they were experiencing extreme pain in their missing limb (Nikolajsen Jensen,
2001). He studied and wrote down the characterizations of this post amputation state and attempted to

Phantom limb syndrome and post amputation pain is far more common in adults than in children, this
would be related to the brains rate or ability to regenerate. A child brain is going to repair much
quicker than an adult, as their brains are still in rapid development (Scheinberg, 2016). Other factors
can play a part and may increase the chances of a patient experiencing this condition, and some of
them include: preamputation pain in the limb that was amputated, a blood clot that formed in the
amputated limb, a preamputation infection, previous damage to spinal cord or peripheral nerves that
supplied the affected limb, traumatic amputation, and the type of anaesthesia that was used during the
operation (Scheinberg, 2016). Nikolajsen and Jensen (2001) state that in paediatric amputees, it was
found that most of the children who were experiencing phantom pain, also expressed feeling pain
before the operation. The symptoms that occur in amputees/people born without a limb can differ
slightly, but all the symptoms are experiences in a limb that no longer exist (Scheinberg, 2016). The
symptoms of phantom limb syndrome include; shooting, stabbing, and piercing sensations, pleasure,
one may feel the sensation of clothing or jewelry touching the missing limb, other experience their
limb feeling as though it is still attached and functioning normally, and lastly patients can experience
sensations of numbness, tickling, or even a cramping sensation (Scheinberg,

Life is tough but darling so are you. ~Stephanie Bennett Henry. This quote relates to Graceling

world of the Seven Kingdoms, a few people are born with Graces talents beyond the ordinary. At age
8, Katsa discovers what hers is: killing. Trained by her uncle, the king, to be his enforcer, Katsa also
secretly forms The Council, a group dedicated to helping the helpless. But when she rescues an old
man who has been kidnapped by a neighboring king, Katsa meets a man who is nearly her match in
fighting, and discovers a mystery that threatens all of the kingdoms. Because King Randa (her uncle)
had Kasta killing at the age of 10. KAsta liked to do it in a harmless way. King Randa was not amused
so he started giving specific details of how she should kill the people. Kasta had no way of getting out
of it. So she was open to violence at a young age. Despite the grisly aspects of Katsa s missions on
behalf of Randa, she has gained a lot of knowledge about the world knowledge that inspired her to
create the Council in an attempt to aid people instead of injuring them. With Raffin s and Oll s help,
Katsa formed the Council and began rescuing folks, intercepting looters and sending them scurrying,

The Process Of Amending The Us Constitution
1. The process of amending the US Constitution is an intentionally difficult one. Yet those in each
branch of government have found ways in which the Constitution can be changed informally. Describe
the methods, both formal and informal, of constitutional change. Article V of the Constitution was
formed through a compromise that stated that congress or a convention of states has amendment
power. This is known as the formal process, in which two steps are utilized: proposal and ratification.
Any member of the House of Representatives or the Senate can propose to amend the Constitution. If
it is approved by two thirds of the originating house of congress, whether is it the Senate or the House
of Representatives, it is then sent to the other side for a vote. If it again receives a two thirds vote it
will be sent to the states for ratification. The convention of states also has the ability to amend the
Constitution, however this is very unlikely. To force congress to hold a convention two thirds of the
state legislatures would have to apply for such a convention. Although many applications have been
sent, never in history has a convention like this been held. On the off chance that either happens, the
proposed amendment will be required to have a three fourths vote of the state to become part of the
Constitution. Since this formal procedure is extremely difficult to complete, the amendments delivered
have an extensive impact. For example the first 10 amendments, known as the

An Holistic Impact A Premature Baby Within The Neonatal...
Throughout this essay I will be discussing the holistic impact a premature baby within the neonatal
units has on not only the child but also the immediate family. There are many health issues which can
affect the child but also other issues including attachment to the mother which can also have a long
term effect on the child. This can also influence the family as there may be financial implications on
the family due to these extra unexpected costs. Throughout this essay I will be discussing these topics
in detail. The health issue which I have chosen is the health of premature babies who are within the
care of the neonatal units. I chose this topic as it something which has interested me for a long time as
throughout the years of my research I have noticed a trend within preterm babies and their survival
rate which is something I would like to see change. In babies born preterm, the chance of survival at
less than 23 weeks is close to zero, while at 23 weeks it is 15%, at 24 weeks 55% and at 25 weeks
about 80%. (Tommy s 2016). Furthermore, I also chose this topic due to my own experiences within a
neonatal unit and seeing how it affected my health and my own family s life throughout my time
within there. Furthermore, the multi agency working within this unit and how everyone involved with
the child is something what interests me as it is vital that the mother feels supported throughout this
period. Good team working is in the interests of the woman or baby (Nursing and

Deck Training Plan
It may sound obvious, but when building a garden patio deck, one should always plan the decking out
on paper first before so much as even picking up a saw!
There is however a solution to this sometimes complicated planning stage.
A good quality timber decking kit will provide you with all the timber, deck boards, joists and fixings
needed to create a high quality, durable and elegant decking area, in far less time, and with far less
planning.
Of course, there are some aspects of the project which will need planning out whether you use a kit or
not. The first thing to consider is location: Would you like your decking to create an environment
which is sunny, shady, or somewhere between? Do you want the deck to lie next to your home, or ...

Also be aware of any pipes or drainage systems which sit beneath the surface of your proposed
decking area especially if you are to installing a raised decking area which will use sunken timber
posts for supports. Lastly, an obvious point but one which is often overlooked: never obstruct access
to any manhole covers or to any other system which you may need to be able to access once the deck
is completed.
Joist Timber Framework Preparation
The timber joist framework is effectively the base on which your garden patio is built. The timber
joists included in your kit will almost certainly be cut to length but be sure to check before you begin
screwing or fixing the timber joists together.
The timber deck joists are laid in line, parallel to each other, and at no greater than 60cm intervals.
With timber deck boards usually 120mm wide, you also need to allow 5 6mm between each deck
board to allow for shrinkage in summer, and swelling in winter. (Remember: deckboards, joists, and
other components are all constructed from a natural, living material)

tribes were settled in Nebraska such as the Cheyenne, Arapaho, Pawnee, Ponca, Otoe, Kansa, Yankon
and Dakota Sioux, and the Lakota Sioux tribes. The Omaha Indians main reservations remain in
present day Nebraska in Thurston and Cuming county. The total land area that the Omaha Indians had
was about 307 square miles. The city, Omaha, is the largest city in Nebraska and is named after them.
Although the Omaha Indian tribe did not have a lot of land like many other tribes, they still were a
well functioning tribe.
The Omaha tribe had a unique culture in which many people were involved and many traditions were
celebrated. The Omaha tribe often lived in settled villages of round earthen lodges in the winter and
fall. In the spring and summer, the Omaha families were able to move from camp to camp as they
followed buffalo herds. When these Omaha families moved from place to place they would live in
teepees, or tents, that would hide them from the buffalo. Within these households everyone had
responsibilities. Omaha men were hunters and they often went to war to protect their families. The
Omaha women were farmers and they also built and transported teepees. Most children in the Omaha

This semester has felt as being in a roller coaster, despite of some of the theories having similarities,
one cannot said that one theory is the same to another. For the reason, I personality felt as every time
that there was a new theory introduced, I tried to see how it applied to my life. As the different
theories were presented in our Ethical Theory class, the theory that stood out and reignited the most is
St. Thomas Aquinas of the personalist /natural law ethics. St. Thomas Aquinas natural laws theory
developed from a non Christian that was Aristotle. Despite many of many Catholic theologian did not
agree with St. Thomas Aquinas due to his agreement with Aristotle, but St. Aquinas would become
one of the most influential theologian in Christianity history. His theory on natural law started to first
defining law in general. For example, the key aspect of his definition is that, law is something
pertaining to reason. (Aquinas, p.3) This was a key point that was a development from what St.
Aquinas had understood from Aristotle that not mattering what the issues were there had to be law that
had to refer to reason, as characteristic human function. Also, there are some essential to a law that St.
Aquinas recognized which are an ordinance of reason, directed to the common good, made by one
who has care of the community, and promulgated. Furthermore, the characteristic human function,
Aquinas begins to develop a more concrete theory of his own in regard to laws that is,

this thing we call prayer. Prayer can get you out of trouble even when people are trying to put in you

signing orders and laws that don t make any sense are often times they do not line up with we as
follower of Christ believe. But how many times to we look at these things and immediately turn off
the TV and pray about them like we ought ton as Daniel did? The passages tell us that when he knew
the word knew in the tense lets me know that he found out fairly quickly and being as how he was an
administrator he would have known almost instantly. But he didn t call his buddies to complain but he
decided to go to God in prayer.
Application:
When you have conversations with people they don t mean anything all to often we want to call up
people a gossip and just talk about our problems but that does not yield anything you still must go
back to what you were doing before the situation occurred, but when you talk to God that is a
conversation that has power. That is a conversation that has some backbone, you can pray to King

Good And Evil In Lord Of The Flies Essay
In the book Lord of the Flies by William Golding, some critics think his two themes are that there is

The critics think the themes are there is no hope for humankind and evil is in all people because the
boys in the book become savages and everything turns to chaos and violence. At the beginning of the
book the boys elect a chief and start to create jobs for everyone, like attending the fire and hunting.
Although, as the story continues the boys start to not care about tending the fire, they only care about

Early Entrance Of The National Football League Draft
Early Entrance: The Road to the National Football League Draft A recent article in the Wall Street

NFL draft. A picture on the front depicts Johnny Manziel who decided to leave Texas A M after his

the whispers are building: This may be the deepest NFL draft ever. It also may be the one that ruins

players, which was signed in 2011, is being accused for a shift so dramatic, some within the game

Black Men And Public Spaces Analysis
Staples, Black Men and Public Spaces, and Ivan s, Get a Knife Get a Dog but Get Rid of Guns, are
two different stories who barely share any of the same information except for people being in harm.
Staple s story about his life experiences of being a man who is feared when walking into a jewelry
store seemed different from a woman trying to get pro gun people to switch to knives instead for their
safety. From the two stories, I pulled out one thing in my mind that could pull them together as far as
their topics go. Ivan says that if you have a knife, you need to be near the person to be able to stab
them. Staples says that being seen as dangerous can be a hazard for him. I view this as if someone
were to have a gun, and Staples were to turn a corner, would they shoot him out of fear? If they had a
knife, they would only being able to stab him if Staples were actually up close to them causing harm.
Will having knives help people like Staples not to be harmed just because someone thought he looked
harmful? In Black Men and Public Spaces, I think Staples is talking to the people who fear black men,
especially in public spaces. When walking down a road at night, it is easy to be afraid of the black
man walking your way, and Staples is trying to explain that they are not all dangerous. I also think that
Staples is talking to other men who can relate to his stories. I feel he is sharing his so that they know

A Study On A Masters Degree Of Social Work
A masters degree in social work contains the ability to open more doors than most people can imagine.
Someone who has held different jobs within the profession is Ciara Warden. Although the currently
works in the educational setting more than the typically thought of field setting, Ciara told me about
her experiences in each. Throughout the interview, she made it a point to stress how social work
comes in many forms and a person does not have to feel stuck working in the same type of position
forever. Ciara received her Bachelors Degree in psychology and women s studies at Kansas State
University. She continued her education at the University of Kansas, where she received her MSW
with a concentration in adult mental health. All of the social work classes she took were through the
Kansas City campus. Her first social work job was working with children and families in the home.
Most of the time in that job was spent teaching the kids. After working in that atmosphere for a while,
she decided to move on and work with Heartland Family Service. Ciara was the lead therapist on the
mental health crisis team for Heartland Family Service. She worked with the police who were called
to check on the well being of a person or who arrived in a situation where someone needed mental
help. Her job required her to help decide if each person needed hospitalized or if they would be okay
on their own, and to make a plan with them. Field therapy work became draining, so Ciara moved on

Overall, this article describes numerous cases of people s personality and behavior being drastically

we have learned about Phineas Gage and his dramatically changed personality. As such, the author,
David Eagleman, concludes that humans are not really free and that we are all products of our brains

As someone who feels that no one is above the law, I have some reservations about completely
changing sentencing guidelines so that two people who inflict the same harm receive drastically
different punishments merely based on the states of their brains. Furthermore, because an increasing
number of people are being diagnosed with various mild mental illnesses (depression, bipolar
disorder, etc.), this may end conventional guidelines for sentencing. Because of the availability of
psychologists for examinations and the potential for human error, I m concerned about the potential
for unequal judgment and sentencing. That being said, I do believe that this modification of the legal
system will be most fair to criminal that have been driven towards crime by their difficult to control

criminal s culpability and appropriate sentence is their mens rea, or guilty mind, a spectrum of
criminal liability ranging from accidental to premeditated. At the very least, the biology of a criminal s
brain could be introduced in court to mitigate the mens rea and therefore assign a more lenient and

All Soul s Day Myths
According to a Roman Catholic tradition, a pilgrim returning from the Holy Land took refuge on a
rocky island during a storm. There he met a hermit, who told him that among the cliffs was an opening
to the infernal regions, through which flames ascended, and where groans of the tormented were
distinctly audible. The pilgrim told Odilo, who was the head of the monks in a town in eastern France,
who appointed the day following (November 2) to be set apart for the benefit of those souls in
purgatory ( ). What has yet to be investigated is what today s symbols of All Soul s Day mean to those
who celebrate it. To accomplish this, I analyze the myths that surrounded All Soul s Day, and I focus

However, there are some myths that surround death itself. In the Netherlands and in Mexico it is
believed that the souls of the children return to their families on November first, while November
second is set aside for the departed adults. When the souls return, they come to be with their living
relatives. However, they do not come back to scare or haunt people like many people believe
(Quartier, 2010). If we take a look at the myth deeper we realize that it is a deliverance myth, because
the souls are being reunited with their families. In this context if we look at Joseph Campbell s
Functions of Myth we can relate this myth to the function that says it is supposed to evoke in the
individual a sense of being grateful, affirmative awe before the monstrous mystery that is existence ( ).
The sense of being grateful comes from the fact that the families are able to be with their loved ones
again. The second myth about death comes from England, Scotland and Wales. The souls of loved
ones come to search for warmth and affection. The living helped these souls find what they were
looking for, by setting up bonfires to lead the way. Along with the bonfires there were traditions
including decorating graves, special church service, and all night vigils. When the souls returned it
was believed at this time human beings were able to truly see how the world is (Beckman, 2016). This
myth could be seen as deliverance, because it is allowing the souls to come back to their families
along with that the living people are able to see how the world really is. Then if we look at Joseph
Campbell s Functions of Myth we could argue that the third function about sociological order about

Inconvenient Truth Rhetorical Analysis
The image titled Inconvenient truth by Clay Benette demonstrates something that occurs within our
society constantly. A voluminous amount of people in line are conveyed waiting to buy their ticket to
something which seems to be titled A Reassuring Lie . With joy on their faces, they wait patiently and
walk in with calm. However what is also depicted towards the left would be the only individual with a
frown among their faces. The individual in the photo booth does not receive any people who seem
interested to buy tickets to what is titled An Inconvenient Truth . This vocabulary chosen for this
image, such as Reassuring and Inconvenient , clearly help identify the message that is trying to be
delivered. It gives a strong message that

Functionalism In Health And Social Care
In sociology, functionalism is one of the main theoretical perspective. The father of the sociology
Emile Durkheim was the promoter of functionalism. Functionalism mainly focusing on the stability
and order of the society. This gives a variety of elaboration about the society or human behaviour. All
the parts of the theoretical perspectives connected and influenced each other, this all works together in

To see any piece of society, for example, the family or religion, the part must be seen in connection to
society in general. For instance, a functionalist would look at the family as far as its commitment to
the support of the social framework. While functionalism can be valuable in portraying the essential
operation of the wellbeing framework, it doesn t consider the impact of political and monetary
intrigues and force battles that make the wellbeing framework a challenged domain, nor would it be
able to represent social clash and social

Describe Different Types Of EB
1.2 Subtypes of EB
There are three different types of EB. 1) Dystrophic EB (DEB), 2) Simplex EB (SEB) and 3)
Junctional EB (JEB). These conditions are either caused by autosomal dominant gene mutation or
autosomal recessive mutation. DEB can be caused by either of the genes. Another rare form of EB is
epidermolysis bullosa acquisita (EBA). It is an autoimmune disorder. This is when the body attacks
itself.EBA cannot be inherited. EB can be identified by friction blisters and from EBA.
1.2.1 EB Simplex
EB simplex is caused by an autosomal dominant gene mutation which results in faulty keratin protein.
Keratin is a protein that provides structure and strength for the skin. Keratin, therefore, acts as a frame
for the skin. So when this frame or scaffold is not formed properly the skin tends to fall apart and form
blisters. EB Simplex can be localized or generalised. This means that the blisters can be localized,
occurring only in the areas where friction or trauma has occurred. While with generalized blistering,
blisters can occur all over the body.
1.2.2 Junctional EB (JEB)
Junctional EB is an autosomal recessive condition. Widespread blisters occur. There is a chance of a
patient with this condition improving as they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
DEB also has two forms which are autosomal recessive and autosomal dominant. Autosomal recessive
dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB) is caused as a result of mutations in both copies of the gene.
Both parents can transfer a damaged copy of the gene to a child despite neither of the parents having
this condition. In the case of autosomal dominance (DDEB), a faulty gene can be inherited from one
of the parents who can possibly have EB. A patient can also born with EB due to sporadic gene
mutation that is not inherited from either parent, it can occur due to an error occurring in the child s
DNA during foetal development. It is therefore important to note

  • 2. Pros And Cons Of Women In The Military Women in the Military Women being in the military has become more prevalent in the last few decades, but are they helping or hurting the military by doing so? Women being allowed in the military dates all the way back to World War I where women would serve as nurses to aid wounded soldiers (Wood). Now, women are allowed to serve in different roles, combat being one of them. There is controversy whether the military is a place for women, but research shows pros and cons to both sides. Even though women were not allowed to enlist in the military until World War I, they would disguise themselves as men in earlier wars such as the Revolutionary, Civil and Mexican War in order to be apart of the military. The Navy and Marine Corps were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although, one concern for women being allowed to serve in a combat occupation is sexual harassment. The issue regarding sexual harassment has become more prevalent in the past decade because military personnel is having more faith in the military to investigate such accusations accordingly. Just last year, 6,131 sexual assault reports were filed with the DoD. In 2007, the number of sexual assault filings were half of what they were last year which makes the DoD believe the implications about sexual harassment they have put into place are working (Whitlock). Whitlock s article states that an extreme amount of alcohol consumption is one of the leading causes of sexual harassment cases, but there is no specificity on whether the cases are against men or women. Sexual harassment has often been focused more on women being victims, but men can be victims of such crimes as well. That is why the military has implemented a variety of methods into the regular military training regarding sexual harassment and the repercussions of such actions. On another note, there are studies that show women are more organized, creative thinkers and have better social sensitivity skills than men (Haring). Undoubtedly, William Blake was indeed one of those monumental writers who paved the way for new thinking. A thinking of the human soul and two intricate parts that join to fulfill a soul. Both pairs of the soul are illustrated in both The Tyger and The Lamb. Both poems being commonly referred to as staples of poetry, can allude to different ideas. Man believe they deal with the questions such as, who is the creator? and why did he create us? Rather I believe that while yes those are key thoughts with thin these poems, there is a deeper meaning, revealing the inner depths of our souls and the capacity to grow well and proper, or become a beast, which we all have dominion over in each of our lives. With Blake s precise use of structure, theme, and literary devices, both poems are brought into a new light and can be easily juxtaposed to illuminate the truth of the life we live. Before examining each poem you have to know Blake and the way he wrote. A major collection of poems, Songs of Innocence and Experience, summarizes Blake s main philosophy of the human soul. I agree with this quote based on personal experience. The movie, The Thin Blue Line directed by Errol Morris, is an example of believing in what we want rather than the truth. Randall Adams a wrongly convicted man, David Harris a criminal let off the hook, and people such as Marshall Touchton and Melvyn Carson Bruder gives support to this belief. Randall Adams is the epitome of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. In recent years, tort law has become the center of scrutiny through the increase in tort costs, insurance liability costs, and the number of frivolous lawsuits made. The role of parliament is mainly to legislate and to govern the United Kingdom through elected representatives. There have been headline grabbing notices of member s rebelling against the government position and resigning their position. The technique was invented in 1900 by Mikhail Tsvet, who used it to write the colors of plant pigments like chlorophyll carotenes, and xanthophylls. He did that by dissolving the plant mixtures in a fluid, or mobile phase, and allowing it to flow through a solid material called a stationary phase. The components of the mixture flow through the stationary phase material at different rates, creating waves or bands. Originally, those bands were detected by visible color differences. Detection methods are now based on the chemical and physical properties of the molecules being separated, including but not limited to color, UV absorbance, size, charge, and hydrophobicity. In modern chromatographic separations, the stationary phase comes in the form of media, either pre packed in a chromatography column, or added by the user to the separation apparatus. The choice of media depends on the type of molecule being separated, the means of separation, the purpose and scale of separation, and the desired purity of the separated sample. Contributions Of Thomas Hobbes Thomas Hobbes was an English philosopher, scientist, and historian Hobbes contributed to modern psychology and laid the foundations of modern sociology by attempting to explain human motivation and social organization with his principle of Mechanism Mechanism is the view that everything can be explained in terms of the causal relations of material objects Basically, Hobbes believed that there is an internal physical process that occurs before any human action can take place, though he was not sure if that internal process took place in the brain or the muscles John Locke was an English philosopher and political theorist In his Essay Concerning Human Understanding, he described the self as a blank page only after one has accumulated experience is the page filled with knowledge and identity (a concept known as tabula rasa) Locke believed that knowledge was neither innate nor acquired, but rather the accumulation of facts derived from sensory experience These ideas formed the basis of modern behaviorism theories George Berkeley was one of the most famous British Empiricists and is considered the Father of Modern Idealism His biggest contributions to modern psychology were the concepts of idealism and immaterialism Idealism is the belief that everything that exists either is a mind, or depends on a mind for its existence in other words, we perceive only ideas Berkeley also defended the concept of immaterialism, or, the claim that matter does not exist ... Phantom Limb Syndrome Phantom limb syndrome is an extraordinary condition that is caused by amputating a limb or being born without a limb (Flor, 2002); This condition affects approximately 80% to 90% of patients who have had a limb amputated (Flor, 2002). The first documented case of phantom limb syndrome was in the mid 16th century (Nikolajsen Jensen, 2001). The description was given by a French military surgeon by the name of Ambroise Paré (1510 1590) when he noticed that some of his injured patients would express that they were experiencing extreme pain in their missing limb (Nikolajsen Jensen, 2001). Phantom limb syndrome and post amputation pain is far more common in adults than in children, this would be related to the brains rate or ability to regenerate. A child brain is going to repair much quicker than an adult, as their brains are still in rapid development (Scheinberg, 2016). Other factors can play a part and may increase the chances of a patient experiencing this condition, and some of them include: preamputation pain in the limb that was amputated, a blood clot that formed in the amputated limb, a preamputation infection, previous damage to spinal cord or peripheral nerves that supplied the affected limb, traumatic amputation, and the type of anaesthesia that was used during the operation (Scheinberg, 2016). Nikolajsen and Jensen (2001) state that in paediatric amputees, it was found that most of the children who were experiencing phantom pain, also expressed feeling pain before the operation. The symptoms that occur in amputees/people born without a limb can differ slightly, but all the symptoms are experiences in a limb that no longer exist (Scheinberg, 2016). The symptoms of phantom limb syndrome include; shooting, stabbing, and piercing sensations, pleasure, one may feel the sensation of clothing or jewelry touching the missing limb, other experience their limb feeling as though it is still attached and functioning normally, and lastly patients can experience sensations of numbness, tickling, or even a cramping sensation (Scheinberg, ... • 27. The Process Of Amending The Us Constitution 1. The process of amending the US Constitution is an intentionally difficult one. Yet those in each branch of government have found ways in which the Constitution can be changed informally. Describe the methods, both formal and informal, of constitutional change. Article V of the Constitution was formed through a compromise that stated that congress or a convention of states has amendment power. This is known as the formal process, in which two steps are utilized: proposal and ratification. Any member of the House of Representatives or the Senate can propose to amend the Constitution. If it is approved by two thirds of the originating house of congress, whether is it the Senate or the House of Representatives, it is then sent to the other side for a vote. If it again receives a two thirds vote it will be sent to the states for ratification. The convention of states also has the ability to amend the Constitution, however this is very unlikely. To force congress to hold a convention two thirds of the state legislatures would have to apply for such a convention. Although many applications have been sent, never in history has a convention like this been held. On the off chance that either happens, the proposed amendment will be required to have a three fourths vote of the state to become part of the Constitution. Since this formal procedure is extremely difficult to complete, the amendments delivered have an extensive impact. For example the first 10 amendments, known as the ... Throughout this essay I will be discussing the holistic impact a premature baby within the neonatal units has on not only the child but also the immediate family. There are many health issues which can affect the child but also other issues including attachment to the mother which can also have a long term effect on the child. This can also influence the family as there may be financial implications on the family due to these extra unexpected costs. Throughout this essay I will be discussing these topics in detail. The health issue which I have chosen is the health of premature babies who are within the care of the neonatal units. I chose this topic as it something which has interested me for a long time as throughout the years of my research I have noticed a trend within preterm babies and their survival rate which is something I would like to see change. In babies born preterm, the chance of survival at less than 23 weeks is close to zero, while at 23 weeks it is 15%, at 24 weeks 55% and at 25 weeks about 80%. (Tommy s 2016). Furthermore, I also chose this topic due to my own experiences within a neonatal unit and seeing how it affected my health and my own family s life throughout my time within there. Furthermore, the multi agency working within this unit and how everyone involved with the child is something what interests me as it is vital that the mother feels supported throughout this period. Also, there are some essential to a law that St. Aquinas recognized which are an ordinance of reason, directed to the common good, made by one who has care of the community, and promulgated. However, there are some myths that surround death itself. In the Netherlands and in Mexico it is believed that the souls of the children return to their families on November first, while November second is set aside for the departed adults. When the souls return, they come to be with their living relatives. However, they do not come back to scare or haunt people like many people believe (Quartier, 2010). If we take a look at the myth deeper we realize that it is a deliverance myth, because the souls are being reunited with their families. In this context if we look at Joseph Campbell s Functions of Myth we can relate this myth to the function that says it is supposed to evoke in the individual a sense of being grateful, affirmative awe before the monstrous mystery that is existence ( ). The sense of being grateful comes from the fact that the families are able to be with their loved ones again. The second myth about death comes from England, Scotland and Wales. The souls of loved ones come to search for warmth and affection. The living helped these souls find what they were looking for, by setting up bonfires to lead the way. Along with the bonfires there were traditions including decorating graves, special church service, and all night vigils. When the souls returned it was believed at this time human beings were able to truly see how the world is (Beckman, 2016). This myth could be seen as deliverance, because it is allowing the souls to come back to their families along with that the living people are able to see how the world really is. Then if we look at Joseph Campbell s Functions of Myth we could argue that the third function about sociological order about what is right and what is wrong relates to this myth, because the ultimate goal of the souls returning is to allow the people to see what the world is really ... These conditions are either caused by autosomal dominant gene mutation or autosomal recessive mutation. DEB can be caused by either of the genes. Another rare form of EB is epidermolysis bullosa acquisita (EBA). It is an autoimmune disorder. This is when the body attacks itself.EBA cannot be inherited. EB can be identified by friction blisters and from EBA. 1.2.1 EB Simplex EB simplex is caused by an autosomal dominant gene mutation which results in faulty keratin protein. Keratin is a protein that provides structure and strength for the skin. Keratin, therefore, acts as a frame for the skin. So when this frame or scaffold is not formed properly the skin tends to fall apart and form blisters. EB Simplex can be localized or generalised. This means that the blisters can be localized, occurring only in the areas where friction or trauma has occurred.
