Interview Questions and Answers
The Best Answers to Tough Interview Questions Tell me about yourself. This is really more of a
request than a question. But these few words can put you on the spot in a way no question can. Many
quickly lose control of the interview during the most critical time the first five minutes. This is not the
time to go into a lengthy history or wander off in different directions. Your response should be focused
and purposeful. Communicate a pattern of interests and skills that relate to the position in question.
Consider your response to this question as a commercial that sells your autobiography. Provide an
answer that includes information about where you grew up, where you went to school, your initial
work experience, additional education and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Such responses indicate a lack of long term interest since you do not plan to be around for long. While
some may respond that they honestly haven t really thought that far ahead, the interviewer infers that
the applicant lacks vision and goals. Describe a major goal you ve set for yourself recently. Give an
example of a goal you both set and achieved. Ideally, this should be a professional goal; such as
improved time management skills, achieved new performance targets, or learned a new skill. A
personal example can also be appropriate if it reinforces your pattern of accomplishments. For
example, if you take a great deal of initiative and quickly move into leadership positions, you might
use a personal example relating to your recent community work: organized a community walk a thon
that raised $30,000 in matching funds to purchase new computers for the local library. Talk about
results of achieving your goal. This indicates you set realistic goals and that you can focus on
outcomes. Select an example that has interesting outcomes related to your efforts. The example should
showcase your skills and abilities. Now that you ve had a chance to learn more about us, what would
you change about our company? Be careful here. Most companies don t want you to come in and

Leonardo Da Vinci Essay Writing
Literature review
Life and work of Leonardo da Vinci and why he is one of the world greatest artists in the history. The
world greatest artist Leonardo da vinci once said, A beautiful body perishes, but a work of art dies not

artist from renaissance has changed our world to a better place by his creative mind and was not stop

just a mere piece of art? Life and work of Leonardo da Vinci and why he is the world greatest artist in
the history. Da Vinci was an artist, inventor, and scientist during the renaissance period. He is one of
the most intelligent and talented people of all time. The term Renaissance man (someone who does
many things very well) was coined from Leonardo s many talents and is today used to describe people
who resemble da Vinci. As a renaissance artist, he set the imitation of nature as his primordial goal,

Hemp Argumentative Essay
Hemp is the New Frontier
On October 1, 1937, the Marihuana Tax Act of 1937 was enacted and it prohibited all forms of
cannabis sativa. Although the bill was targeted towards the banning of marijuana and both forms of
cannabis on separate ends of the sativa spectrum, there was no specification on which form was
directed for the ban. Thus both were prohibited from being grown in the United States of America. In
November of 2016, marijuana officially became legal to grow in all fifty states, yet industrial hemp is
still currently legal to be grown in 13 states within the USA. Hemp is largely exported to the US from
other countries. It is imperative that hemp becomes legal to be grown around the entire country, for
hemp will help retain the USA s revenue by using hemp grown in America, has can be used for many
different purposes such as clothing or food for example, has the potential to reduce American citizen s
carbon footprint as a substitute for paper and gasoline, and has no major threat to the industrialization
of hemp in factories.
It is time that the U.S. policy allows American family farmers to get in on a hemp market (Fine 1). ...

Hemp is the perfect substitution for making paper than trees. There are about 220 million pounds of
toxic pollution that are let out into the air and water annually during the process of making paper from
trees. At the same time, deforestation also drives climate change and reduces the filtration of carbon

hemp that can be grown within the span of months. Also, because hemp is a reusable resource, hemp

Meaning Of Survival In The Story Of Keesh
Every day, people are surviving in extreme and extraordinary ways. There is an old folk tale called
The Story of Keesh, that is an important statement on survival. It is about a young boy in a struggling
community in Antarctica. Where getting through each day is a struggle, it is a surprise that young
Keesh goes on from one the smallest igloos in the tribe to the man who had the will to lead them all.
There is another tale, that is as remarkable as the other. It is called Life of Pi. In this tale, a boy finds
himself in a bizarre situation. After the ship he was on sank, he is stuck on a lifeboat, but with a bengal
tiger. In this tale with a twist, the boy, Pi, really does come to terms to what surviving really means. In

Pi has to stay alive on a lifeboat. Ironically, on this lifeboat he is stuck with a ferocious, hazardous,
Bengal tiger. At first Pi s idea was the same as Keesh s village. To hunt, to eat, to live. Pi s mind had
come up with many different solutions on how to survive. Including a time where he had to drink
water, which he resourcefully succeeded in. It states, I looked over to the gunnel. The tarpaulin hooks.
Short, blunt, solid. I kneeled on the bench and leaned over. Holding the can with both my hands, I
sharply brought it up against a hook. A good dint. I did it again...I sat back on the gunnel. I held the
can up to my face. I opened my mouth. I tilted the can (Martel 87.) Soon after, Pi loses himself
mentally. He starts to lose hope. But another bright moment where surviving is clearer is when he
started to ration and take order of his food, a good idea. I considered opening another carton, but I
thought better of it. No harm in exercising a little restraint... So I had water rations to last me 124
days, (Martel 90 91.) Along with that, Pi was resourceful when trying to figure out if there was water.
As it states, The divining rod in my mind dipped sharply and a spring gushed water when I
remembered I was on a genuine, regulation lifeboat and that such a lifeboat was surely outfitted with
supplies, (Martel 81.) But beside all this small victories, Pi really does have a hard time, from physical

lives from both an injury as well as a financial perspective. Given that vehicles are designed to
provide a smooth means of transportation, manufacturers have long been in the process of designing
the vehicles that are based on principles of efficiency, reliability and safety. However, due to reasons
such as human error, circumstantial error, poor vision and negligence, accidents occur. Today, special
attention is focused on the technologies that can reduce traffic collisions. Hence, Vehicle to Vehicle
(V2V) technology is proposed which are simple to implement. The main objective of this paper is to
alert the driver when he closes to the front vehicle by using camera and ultrasonic sensor and to
communicate mutually for information exchange by using Xbee.

Autobiography Of A Homeless Person
In day to day life, an individual will come into contact with countless people who all
have vastly diverse backgrounds. One person may be a renowned surgeon, or you could come
across a homeless man that thinks everyone is trying to harm him in some way or another. The
fact of the matter is that no one has an obvious way of knowing how someone s day has gone, or
what kind of frame of mind they happen to be in at any given moment in time. One might notice
that most people s days are hectic, depressing, or maybe sometimes even a little deplorable.

It has always been a dream of mine to pursue a career as a Neonatal Nurse. I chose this career because
my love for babies/infants started out at a young age, and as I developed in school, I learned that I

believe the rewards outweigh the challenges. Neonatal nurses work with newborn babies that were
born with a variety of problems ranging from premature birth, cardiac malformations, not being fully
developed, and more. These nurses also work with the families of the babies in comforting and
educating the parents as to what to expect and how to properly care for their baby. The environment is

A Dollhouse And The Glass Menagerie
One of the most important thematic bridges connecting two of the seminal works of Henrik Ibsen,
author of A Dollhouse, and Tennessee Williams, playwright of The Glass Menagerie, is abandonment
and its effects on the family dynamic. Each work s protagonist Tom in The Glass Menagerie and Nora
in A Dollhouse actively undergoes the process of starting afresh in life by abandoning the strict
limitations of domesticity in search of spiritual and financial stability. While both characters ultimately
end up declaring their independence from their families, the consequences they face in the aftermath
are uniquely a result of the specific dynamic they suffer from in their respective works. In Nora s case,
the tight grip of her husband Torvald as well as her dubious under the table deal with Krogstad
highlights her capricious and shady nature, while Tom eagerly fits the mold of a petulant, ... Show

Nora s sudden transformation from dutiful housewife to fiercely independent spinster with a mind of
her own is bound to keep some readers confused because of Ibsen s theatrical decision to keep Nora s
thoughts largely internal during the height of the play s dramatic tension (Ibsen 73). Williams,
primarily through the framing of The Glass Menagerie as a memory play, places the audience more
squarely in tune with Tom s psychological justifications for leaving his family through his constant
breaking of the fourth wall, emphasizing that the tricks in his pockets will come out in full view for
the audience to see to fully understand his abandonment of the Wingfields (Williams 29). Tom is
finally spurned by the lingering presence of his father s adventurous spirit, symbolized through his
internment in picture form on the Wingfields mantle, to act upon impulse and finally escape the
restrictive bonds that living with his mother and sister has placed upon

Essay on Effects Of Overfishing Atlantic Cod on East Coast...
Overfishing is a global issue that has many negative effects on the environment (Fisheries and Oceans
Canada, 2009). Fish are a major resource that many people rely on for not only nutrition, but also for a
means of income (Fisheries and Oceans Canada, 2009). As the population of the world increases, so
does the demand for fish, which puts oceans under a lot of pressure (Fisheries and Oceans Canada,
2009). Due to advanced fishing technologies and equipment, going out further into the oceans and
catching huge amounts of fish is easier than ever (Fisheries and Oceans Canada, 2009). Froese (2004)
defines overfishing as capturing the fish before they reach their full growth potential and diminishing
their chance of reproduction. In other ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The snow crab population is also increasing (Frank et al., 2005; Scheffer et al., 2005). This increase
has led to the decrease in the large bodied zooplankton species ( 2 mm) because this is what the
shrimp and crab populations prefer to feed off of (Frank et al., 2005; Scheffer et al., 2005). Now that
the zooplankton abundance isn t as high, the phytoplankton population has increased, which is due to
the reduced pressure being put on them by the zooplankton (Frank et al., 2005; Scheffer et al., 2005).
Lastly, the concentration of nitrate is lower, which suggests the phytoplankton populations are
depleting it more strongly (Frank et al., 2005; Scheffer et al., 2005). These changes in the ecosystem
can be quite harmful and can lead to breakouts of disease in the lower trophic levels because the
populations become so dense that they are more prone to catching a disease (Jackson et al., 2001). As
one can see, overfishing is a serious issue with serious consequences. Froese (2004) suggests three
ways to deal with overfishing: Let them spawn! , Let them grow! , and Let the mega spawners live! .
The first idea suggests that the fish be allowed to spawn at least once before they are caught. This will
allow the population to rebuild and remain healthy (Froese, 2004). The second idea suggests that the
fish be allowed to grow to ±10% of their optimum

Lisfranc Fracture-Dislocation Case Study
The Lisfranc fracture dislocation is characterised as an injury of the tarsometatarsal joints of the foot.
This region of the foot is prone to injury due to the lack of ligaments separating the bases of the first
and second metatarsals (Bontrager Lampignano, 2010). The Lisfranc joint articulates between the
cuneiforms and cuboid of the foot, along with the distal end of metatarsals, and separates the forefoot
from the midfoot. The joint can be seen from three different views in Figure 1 of the appendix (Kalia,
Fishman, Carrino, Fayad, 2011). The clinical indications of a Lisfranc fracture dislocation include
oedema and tenderness in the area of the midfoot. The injury is usually caused by the foot being
overly plantar flexed, and is often associated with vehicular accidents and sporting injuries (Scolaro,
Ahn Mehta, 2011).
According to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If the separation between the base of the first and second metatarsals is less than two millimetres, the
recommended treatment is to cast and immobilise the foot until healed. However, the most common
form of treatment is surgical and known as open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF). In Figure 4, a
radiographic image shows how a surgical screw has been positioned to stabilise and internally fixate
the Lisfranc fracture dislocation (Southerland, Boberg, Downey, Nakra Rabjohn, 2012).
It has been suggested by Scolaro (2011) et al. that if the Lisfranc fracture dislocation is greater than
two millimetres long term complications such as arthritis and damage to surrounding ligaments can
occur. However, the likelihood of obtaining posttraumatic arthritis is decreased dramatically if ORIF
surgery is performed soon after initial injury. If the Lisfranc fracture was a result of an athletic injury,
pain and instability of the foot can occur and arthrodesis may be necessary for long term treatment

The Doll House by Henrik Ibsen
THE DOLL HOUSE The Society above Individual Freedom or The Suppression of the Woman The
author Henrik Ibsen used the play to elaborate on the irony of the 19th century culture of restriction of

having recourse to the core values and norms that brings about individual happiness and freedom.
Torvald Helmer tried to elucidate the abnormality of seeking individual freedom instead of societal

Essay about My Classroom Management Plan
Classroom Management Plan ※ Theoretical Introduction Philosophy of Classroom Management
Developing an ideal classroom that is well managed does not require any special power. It requires a
simple skill called thought and heart. One of the key components of becoming a successful and
ultimately great teacher is how you manage the classroom. Sports analysts say the most intelligent
quarterbacks are the best game managers. Teachers play the quarterback role and Game Day, with the
offense and defense out on the field, is the classroom of students. School should be a community that

less than to see young minds grow and mature into exceptional individuals who succeed in and out of
the classroom. Assumptions of Young People and Learning There are certain qualities that make
secondary students more challenging to guide than primary students. It is unfair to say they do not
enjoy learning, but they need to see a connection of the knowledge they acquire in the classroom is
relevant to their own lives. If a student does not feel he or she has received any satisfaction in the
classroom, the risk of them rebelling increases. The adolescent years are the formative years for
people, and what occurs during this period will have a lasting effect. If students feel disconnected or
unsatisfied with knowledge, their learning will undoubtedly be compromised. They constantly need to
be encouraged and guided through daily activities and interaction. It is essential that young people

A Report On India s The Garden Where Plastic Bags
On a visit to India a while back I came upon a fenced empty field that was practically buried in flimsy
white throwaway plastic bags, the kind you carry your purchases home in from the store. The locals
joked that this was the garden where plastic bags grew.
But when I returned to India last month, I was pleasantly surprised to find that now when you shop in
New Delhi, no store will give you a plastic bag for your purchases. They re illegal there, as well as in
many other Indian cities and states.
That puts India well ahead of most of the world when it comes to this particular ecological issue. Most
everywhere in the U.S., for instance, the throwaway plastic bag remains the ubiquitous way people
haul their stuff home from the local store. But those bags never biodegrade into anything that nature
can use again.
Worse, the vast majority of such single use plastic items never get recycled, and even degradable
plastics may not degrade all that well. On top of that, product life cycle assessments, which are on the
verge of becoming more commonly available and used in the marketplace, do not include either litter
or biodegradability as factors.
The news on some once promising plastic alternatives is not so encouraging. A review published last

Analysis And Use Of Financial Ratios
Ratios are measurements. The reason ratios are used, as opposed to absolute values, is a mathematical
one, and is basically in order to facilitate comparison by adjusting for size (Barnes, 1987). Similarly,
knowledge of the behavior of turnover ratios might be useful in assessing the effects of changes in any
of the underlying economic characteristics (Gupta and Hgefner, 1972).
Article One
In article The Analysis and Use of Financial Ratios: A Review Article by Barnes (1987), financial
ratios are discussed. The discussion on financial ration is about the purpose of financial ratios. The
purpose of financial ratios is to aid management s efficiency of planning and implementing actions
based on prediction outcomes through coefficients and deviations. The financial ratios are used in
design projects because the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Barnes (1987) suggest using debt
and performance ratios. Debt ratios indicated the percentage of a the assets verse debt. The formula is
total debt divided total assets. Performance ratios indicated different aspects of cash flow. There are
many different performance ratios.
The advantages of debt and performance ratios are evaluating the worth or success of functions within
a firm and identifying needs of a firm to meet the objectives, targets, goals, and scope before and after
the planning process at different life cycles. The worth or success with a firm allows investors and

where all the kids are spoiled and most of them have ended up here because nobody else could stand
them. It epitomizes the twisted and self reflective nature of Hollywood. This film skillfully creates a
central plot around Griffin Mill who is a vice president at a movie studio, which pays him enormous
sums of money to listen to people describe movies to him. When he hears a pitch he likes, he passes it
along. He doesn t have the authority to give a go signal himself, and yet for those who beseech him to
approve their screenplays, he has a terrifying negative authority. He can turn them down. Altman
utilizes several tactics to both seduce and amuse the audience, ultimately showcasing how easy it is to
be enraptured by in the world of celebrities and attention. During Altman s The Player the criteria for a
good Hollywood movie are established by Griffin: Suspense, laughter, violence, hope, heart, nudity,
sex, and happy endings, mainly happy endings . The viewers can find all of them in the film. Griffin is
threatened by a writer whose script or idea he likely brushed off. Every day or two he receives an
anonymous card from someone who he has apparently failed to get back to. The suspense in the film
starts to build here. He begins to suspect a certain writer named David Kahane and goes to his house
one night to confront him. David is not home, but there is an incredible scene where Griffin talks with
the man s girlfriend on the phone while voyeuristically watching her through the window. This is an
extraordinary symbolization of the voyeuristic essence that goes along with watching the film, or the
notion of scopophilia to be precise. This is the first scene where we see Griffin hopelessly falls in love
with June Gudmundsdottir, David s live in girlfriend. In the duration of Griffin s conversation on the
phone, he finds out that David is watching The Bicycle Thief . He follows David to the theatre and
ends up having drink in a bar with him after watching the film. In the bar s parking lot the two men
fight.

The Revolutionary Theory Of Class Struggle
Benjamin Guerrero
Prof. Fatovic / POT 3054
December 7, 2015
Progress through the Struggle
Karl Marx, chief characteristic was singleness of purpose, his idea of happiness was to fight and his
idea of misery was submission, his inspiration was the rebel slave leader Spartacus, who was a violent
gladiator fighting for his freedom. His favorite motto was that you must have doubts about everything
and lastly his favorite color was red. Many philosophers interpret the world, but the important thing is
to change it and Marx wanted to explain the conditions under which many citizens lived. Since The
Soviet Revolution from 1917, almost more than 30 countries have claimed to be inspired by Marx s
philosophy. The revolutionary theory of Class Struggle (PG 220, The Marx Engels reader) have
inspired a chain of revolutions throughout the world, but the Marxists states that have resulted, are not
what he advocated for. These new governments were violent, repressive, oppressive and autocratic.
One can find the promise of revolution hidden on his most famous and lengthiest work, his book
called Capital; A text that gave catalyst for the chain of ideas that have inspired a world movement.
The aim was not for the moral protest but to write a complex, far reaching, interconnected series of
books, articles and manifestos. Their aim was not at the moral protest at the evils of capitalism, but as
an explanatory analysis of how capitalism actually works, how it came about and how it

Barbaric Masculinity In Anthony Burgess A Clockwork Orange
A clockwork orange by Anthony Burgess is commonly(different verb) praised for shedding light on
Toxic masculinity even in 2018 when in fact perpetuates and even normalizes this toxic form of
masculinity. The form of barbaric violent masculinity alex portrays is just that, barbaric and violent to
men and women today. However a Clockwork orange almost inspires some to adopt this toxic
masculinity. Anthony Burgess tries to raise awareness for a reality he unknowingly inaugurates.
I cannot speak for the 1960 s or 1970 s when the book and movie were released, but in 2018 toxic
masculinity is neither common nor promoted in society. The type of masculinity promoted in modern
movies is a direct reflection of the values masculinity holds today.

The Inventions Of Henry Ford And The Assembly Line
Henry Ford and the Assembly Line Henry Ford was a huge factor towards the progression of
automobiles. He has done some great things towards the business and the world wouldn t be the same

used inventions that people use on a daily basis, while a few died off into the abyss. While some of
them weren t used for long, a few of them are still being used today to make automobiles. Henry Ford
was born in July 30, 1863 in Greenfield Township, Michigan. He always had an interest in moving

The price went down from $825 to $575 4 years after production had started. With this price drop,
Ford mostly had reached his goal. By this point, most people had a Model T, and even more people

this drop in its price and more people buying the car, the employees wage went up tremendously. It
went all the way up to $5 a day. This was big bucks for the time and also it was double that of an
average daily wage for back then. While he was giving them much more money, he also expected
every single one of his employees to own a Model T and no other auto mobile. Henry Ford was a great
person that the world couldn t have lived without. He did so many things that have shaped the world

car. He also made one of the first trends being his Model T. Everyone had to have one back then and it
is still one of the most sold models ever, with over 15 million sales of the car. It held the record for the

Explain Why Is The Coastal Zone Most Favoured For Development
Why is the coastal zone so favoured for development?
The coastal zone has been favoured for development consistently around the world, this is because of
the benefits settling on the coast brings. There are many physical and human factors that contribute to
accessibility of development on the coast. Half the world s population lives within 60 km of the sea,
and three quarters of all large cities are located on the coast. The benefits the coast holds draw people
to develop it.
One of the reasons the coast is favoured is the conditions it offers. The land by the coast is often, flat
and fertile. Alluvium deposited in land near the coast gives it nutrients making it ideal for agriculture.

Essay about Variations in Animation in Different Cultures
Animation in different cultures
Animation has a variety of differences between Japanese culture and the culture of the United States.
While animation is usually made for the sole purpose of entertainment for children in the United
States, Japanese animation, also known as anime as it is referred to both in Japan and in the West, is a
form of media that is enjoyed by people of all ages. Unlike the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and
SpongeBob Square pants, both very popular American animations shows in their times, anime focuses
more on drama and other non childlike qualities. The differing cultures of the United States and Japan

With the rapid spread of television in the 1960 s, Japanese animators found a new way to sell their

Astro Boy, seeing success in western countries such as the United States and Europe. Another popular

Chronicle Of A Death Foretold By Garcia Marquez
Magical Realism through Setting in García Márquez s Chronicle of a Death Foretold
Question: How far does setting serve to reinforce or emphasize meanings or themes within Chronicle
of a Death Foretold?
Work Used: Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel García Márquez
In Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel García Márquez, the setting plays a potent role in
showing a certain theme. Especially what happens in a certain setting plays a dominant part in
developing a theme. Márquez is best known for his use of magical realism in his novels. He repeatedly
uses strange, surreal details to highlight otherwise ordinary events. Magical realism is an important
theme grown with the setting of the novel. Magical realism is the fantastic or imaginary and often
unsettling images or events that are depicted in a sharply detailed and realistic manner. In other words,
it is the use of unusual or impossible characteristics in a real life setting. Magical realism allows
magical elements to be inserted into a text to make it more interesting and appealing to the reader.
Márquez uses setting to portray those magical elements like foreshadowing, abuse of power, and the
concept of mutual respect through magical realism.
The first example of magical realism is when Santiago foreshadows his death through a dream. At the
beginning of the novel, it says on Pages 3 and 4 that He d dreamed he was going through a grove of
timber trees...and for an instant he was happy in his dream... He was

The Validity Of King Lear
King Lear is considered by many scholars as one of the most influential plays that William
Shakespeare wrote, and while people around the world praise his style of writing, many pieces and
quotes are a subject of debates whose purpose is to interpret their meaning and to apply those
circumstances to the way we see the world now. The lines given in the prompt are an example of how
Lear viewed the relationship between justice and wealth, a topic in which my personal opinion is
similar to how Lear thinks about this subject and I intend to prove my point with substantial examples
related with it. Due to the fact that this play is set in Medieval Europe where feudalistic systems and
kingdoms were rampant, it is no wonder that King Lear sincerely talks about how rich people can hide
their vices and sins because of their social status, while rags do not have anything to hide their
obsessions with, a situation that creates a difference in how justice is applied to an individual because
of its socio economic status. Through metaphors, Lear establishes a ... Show more content on

The Fate Of America Essay
The Fate of America
According to the text, The difference between a democracy and a dictatorship is that in a democracy
you vote first and take orders later; in a dictatorship you don t have to waste your time voting ,
(Bukowski 1). The decisions made in this election will affect the future of America. According to
Oxford Dictionaries the president is an elected head of state in a democratic setting , (Oxford

good leader, has quality communication skills, a good decision maker, and confident in their ideals.
This election will go down in the history books no matter what the result is and will be looked back on

Cadia Holdings Pty Ltd v State of New South Wales (2010) 242 CLR 195
Word Count: 1,496
Introduction Factual Background
Cadia Holdings Pty Ltd and Newcrest Operations Ltd (NOL) owned land in New South Wales,
granted to them by the State of New South Wales under the Mining Act 1992 (NSW). From July 1998
to March 2008, Cadia conducted mining operations in which it recovered minerals including copper
and gold, and paid royalties to the Minister pursuant to the Mining Act 1992 (NSW). The Minister
referred to the Case of Mines[1], claiming that the mine owned by Cadia was a royal mine containing
gold that belonged to the Crown prerogative, and as a consequence the copper was also the property of
the Crown. Cadia ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That precedent was set back in 1568 when Thomas Percy, the 7th Earl of Northumberland, was taken
to court by Elizabeth, the Queen of England. The Queen needed gold and silver to prepare for the long
expected conflict with Spain. A jury of Percy s peers found that the gold on his land wasn t really his.
In The Case of Mines[8] , the jury concluded, that by the law of all mines of gold and silver within the
realm, whether they be in the lands of the Queen, or of subjects, belong to the Queen by prerogative,
with liberty to dig and carry away the ores thereof, and with other such incidents thereto as are
necessary to be used for the getting of the ore. [9] Under pressured circumstances, it proves that
whether it s a monarch, a Parliament, or a Congress, the State is always in pursuit of money with
which to make war. Not much has changed.
The obiter dicta statement made by Kay LJ in the case of Attorney General v Morgan[10] where the
value of gold and copper in a mine were nearly the same benefit of the doubt should be given to the
owner of the mine. [11] If this contention is persuasive and accepted by the Court, then the outcome of
the decision would have been different. The value of the gold extracted greatly exceeds the value of
the copper despite the fact that the copper has a higher quantity.
However, the Court has correctly applied the legislation, namely section 3 of the Royal Mines Act

Assumptions are necessary for us to function as humans, if we did not make assumptions we would
have died out as a species long ago. In the film Atonement , author Joe Wright tells the story of a
young Briony, who has chosen to tell such a terrible lie that will forever disconnect her from her sister,
happiness, and herself. This text begs the question of assumptions; why we need to understand the
fallibility of them, why we need to be able to accept the consequences of them, and why we should not
treat them as fact. The topic and overall meaning that this idea holds conveys a message that resonates
with the idea that assumptions are sometimes a major factor in how individuals go about taking
responsibility for themselves. Until an individual ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Briony at age seventy seven has decided that the final book she will write would be about herself, the
mistakes she has made, the lives she has ruined, and her attempted reconciliation; which ultimately is
all a result of her own childish, forced, and bluntly wrong assumptions. Briony writes the book
atonement with the intent of it being her last novel, and ends up writing a false ending, which portrays
a better ending for Robbie and Cecilia. That addition that she replaces with reality, indicating the life
they could have had if Briony had done things differently; and it is that replacement in her novel that
shows how Briony has taken responsibility for the actions caused by her assumptions. And by finally
accepting responsibility for her actions, she is now enlightened, and can see how and why the events
unfolded the way they did. And therefore, this consequently leads to the broadening of her
fundamental understanding of nearly all perspectives of the events that took place. Leading her to
being aware of the fundamental truth behind the events that not only took place in her story, but in
reality as

Compatibilism Free Will
In the discussion of free will, one controversial issue has been that we do not have free will. On the
one hand, determinists argue that every event has a cause and that concept of free will is false reality
because it cannot be explained by the scientific process. On the other hand, libertarians believe the
opposite is true. Whereas, others like compatibilists argue both beliefs is correct in the sense that we
have to change the meaning of freedom. My own view is that the position of the compatibilists solves
the problem. I believe in compatibilism because both arguments is presented in our world. For
example, we know there is a cause for every event, whether it be from the natural world or from our
decisions. For instance, in the natural

Literary Analysis Of Mending Wall By Robert Frost
Analysis of Mending Wall by Robert Frost
Robert Frost is describing a process in Mending Wall , which is repairing a wall that separates his
territory and his neighbor s. The wall was deteriorated during the winter, when the cold frost created
cracks and gaps in the wall. He uses a nearly infantile imagination to unravel the mystery of the
damage that appeared suddenly in spring. While they are tediously laboring to reconstruct the fence,
Frost is imploring his neighbor about the use of the wall; his apple trees can be clearly distinguished
from his neighbor s pine trees. Yet underneath this quotidian routine, Frost goes beyond the surface to
reveal its figurative meaning.
The poem renders an apparent question: Why do people build unnecessary ... Show more content on

For example, he indicates that the practice of mending the barrier is futile, when he states the
metaphor, Oh, just another kind of outdoor game...it comes to little more. Another metaphor he used is
Spring is the mischief in me. Mischief here does not refer to anything relative to evil, but to friskiness
that attempts to put a notion in his head. Yet this attempt is in unavailing, and the neighbor continues
to repair the wall, and in the simile, Like an old stone savage armed , Frost attests that his neighbor
has the stride and stubborn ignorance of a caveman. He also uses other devices such as a pun, applied
in the line, And to whom I was like to give offence. The last word of the line simply emphasizes the
importance of the subject, the fence. The most prominent figure of speech, however, is the ironic,
Good fences make good neighbors. This is completely opposite of the connotation of the poem.
Fences do not make neighbors, but strangers that are apathetic towards each other. The neighbor
seems to prefer this approach, to eliminate any risks of trespassing or offenses. Yet what the fence
really does is hinder the development of friendship. This is comparable to the barriers of bitterness,
anger, hate, and fear men put between one another that obstruct love and

Reflection Paper On Dietetics
This fall semester I had the pleasure of taking NHM 195 and fascinating and exciting is probably an
understatement about the class. From day one I was intrigued by the new ideas and facts about
dietetics. I liked the real life lectures we had a chance of watching and the medical dictionary
exercises that have absolutely sharpened my medical vocabulary immensely. In this class we learned
about the three different types of dietetic programs: Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD, Coordinated
Program in Dietetics (CP), and Dietetic technician program (DT). The DPD is the educational
requirements all students wanting a career in dietetics. The program usually takes four years to
complete and contains classroom work along with lab work. The program has classes that deals with
clinical nutrition, chemistry, microbiology, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
RD s could work in so many different places such as long term care facilities, public health, food
service management for schools, hospitals, colleges, universities, and private practice. An RD median
salary is about $58,000 a year. This is under what I believe it should be but it is a good living for
someone who loves what they do. There are many ways to make a great living being a RD because of
the vast pool of jobs that are needed. For those who do not join the DPD program to become a
licensed RD, there are great opportunities to further education and there is a wide variety of skill sets
that can be learned and joined by having a dietetic degree. If you choose to go to graduate school you
can apply for medical school , dental school, physical therapy schools just to name a few. From what I
have learned in this class is what I expected when making the decision to attain this degree. This
degree gives the student many options to find out form of health service they love and it allows you to
harness and fine tune your passion into a precision

Speech On The Hitler Youth
Speaking on the Hitler Youth, and just how violently anti Semitic the group was, Jewish survivor
Marcel Back explained, On Sundays we like to go have a nice excursion in the forest, and then you
saw a few of those so you tried to avoid to get close to them because they could beat you up (USC SFI
VHA, Marcel Back). Another survivor, Fred Berdach noted, There were Hitler Youth on the streets
[...] and they became bullies. You were bullied in the streets, you were bullied in the schools, you were
bullied anywhere and everywhere (USC SFI VHA, Fred Berdach). Berdach s account was in reference
to the evolution of the Hitler Youth in 1938, just three years before the beginning of the mass killing.
Many of the then Hitler Youth members would have been eligible to become soldiers in WWII, as well
as the older ex members. Perhaps the Hitler Youth members played the roles of enforcers of the killing
program and pressured others into doing the same. A further demonstration of latent prejudice in
twentieth century societies contributing to genocide is the lack of large scale support for the Jews from
outsiders. According to Shlomo Aronson, the Allied Powers had influence in the Holocaust and could
have taken steps to lessen the plight of the Jews, but instead turned a blind eye (Aronson, pp.266).
Citing three sets of circumstances influencing Allied decisions to not intervene, Aronson noted that the
Allies were not keen on being depicted as Jew sympathizers and were in fact very

Assignment: Stewardship
Instructor: Dr. Alan Cellamare

Stewardship is defined as the position and duties of a steward, a person who acts as the surrogate of
another of others, especially by managing property, financial affairs, an estate etc. Responsible for
overseeing and protection of something considered worth caring or and preserving
(www.webster.com). The bible has many examples of stewardship and how it relates to society today.
God gave generosity as part of the law. As his people, we have special roles that were assigned to
dominate creation. In this paper I will critique the articles The Oxford ... Show more content on

Every person has the freedom to develop their God given potential. Developing good stewardship in
the business management practices is to establish good work ethics to accomplish God s work in the
world. Ethical business management practices starts with maintaining a trustful relationship in the
organization. The organization must develop an organizational culture to use ethical stewardship to
sustain in this completive market. Making good decisions shows your obligation to do what is
acceptable. In the book of Luke 10:25 37 speaks about the Good Samaritan and explain how to love
one s neighbor (care for their needs). We are to love our neighbors to fulfill the commandment to
show mercy to those who are in need. In the book of Amos displays a time of prosperity and wealth in
the kingdom of Israel, but the decision was made among the people to live in sin and wickedness. God
raised up Amos to bring warning to the Israelites to change their ways. In scripture God is clear
concerning stewardship and how Christians should apply it to our daily life.
In conclusion stewardship shapes your daily life that identifies your spiritual gifts. God expects
everyone to use their gifts to enhance the creation, society, environment and blessing others. The talent
God gives us is to benefit the community. Obedience to Stewardship opens up the blessings of God to
flow in your life.

Although the bill was targeted towards the banning of marijuana and both forms of cannabis on separate ends of the sativa spectrum, there was no specification on which form was directed for the ban. Thus both were prohibited from being grown in the United States of America. In November of 2016, marijuana officially became legal to grow in all fifty states, yet industrial hemp is still currently legal to be grown in 13 states within the USA. Hemp is largely exported to the US from other countries. There is an old folk tale called The Story of Keesh, that is an important statement on survival. It is about a young boy in a struggling community in Antarctica. Where getting through each day is a struggle, it is a surprise that young Keesh goes on from one the smallest igloos in the tribe to the man who had the will to lead them all. There is another tale, that is as remarkable as the other. It is called Life of Pi. In this tale, a boy finds himself in a bizarre situation. Including a time where he had to drink water, which he resourcefully succeeded in. It states, I looked over to the gunnel. The tarpaulin hooks. Short, blunt, solid. I kneeled on the bench and leaned over. Holding the can with both my hands, I sharply brought it up against a hook. A good dint. I did it again...I sat back on the gunnel. I held the can up to my face. I opened my mouth. I tilted the can (Martel 87.) Soon after, Pi loses himself mentally. He starts to lose hope. But another bright moment where surviving is clearer is when he started to ration and take order of his food, a good idea. I considered opening another carton, but I thought better of it. No harm in exercising a little restraint... So I had water rations to last me 124 days, (Martel 90 91.) Along with that, Pi was resourceful when trying to figure out if there was water. As it states, The divining rod in my mind dipped sharply and a spring gushed water when I remembered I was on a genuine, regulation lifeboat and that such a lifeboat was surely outfitted with supplies, (Martel 81.) A Dollhouse And The Glass Menagerie One of the most important thematic bridges connecting two of the seminal works of Henrik Ibsen, author of A Dollhouse, and Tennessee Williams, playwright of The Glass Menagerie, is abandonment and its effects on the family dynamic. Each work s protagonist Tom in The Glass Menagerie and Nora in A Dollhouse actively undergoes the process of starting afresh in life by abandoning the strict limitations of domesticity in search of spiritual and financial stability. While both characters ultimately end up declaring their independence from their families, the consequences they face in the aftermath are uniquely a result of the specific dynamic they suffer from in their respective works. • 12. Essay on Effects Of Overfishing Atlantic Cod on East Coast... Overfishing is a global issue that has many negative effects on the environment (Fisheries and Oceans Canada, 2009). Fish are a major resource that many people rely on for not only nutrition, but also for a means of income (Fisheries and Oceans Canada, 2009). As the population of the world increases, so does the demand for fish, which puts oceans under a lot of pressure (Fisheries and Oceans Canada, 2009). Due to advanced fishing technologies and equipment, going out further into the oceans and catching huge amounts of fish is easier than ever (Fisheries and Oceans Canada, 2009). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The snow crab population is also increasing (Frank et al., 2005; Scheffer et al., 2005). This increase has led to the decrease in the large bodied zooplankton species ( 2 mm) because this is what the shrimp and crab populations prefer to feed off of (Frank et al., 2005; Scheffer et al., 2005). Now that the zooplankton abundance isn t as high, the phytoplankton population has increased, which is due to the reduced pressure being put on them by the zooplankton (Frank et al., 2005; Scheffer et al., 2005). Lastly, the concentration of nitrate is lower, which suggests the phytoplankton populations are depleting it more strongly (Frank et al., 2005; Scheffer et al., 2005). These changes in the ecosystem can be quite harmful and can lead to breakouts of disease in the lower trophic levels because the populations become so dense that they are more prone to catching a disease (Jackson et al., 2001). As one can see, overfishing is a serious issue with serious consequences. Froese (2004) suggests three ways to deal with overfishing: Let them spawn! , Let them grow! , and Let the mega spawners live! . The first idea suggests that the fish be allowed to spawn at least once before they are caught. This will allow the population to rebuild and remain healthy (Froese, 2004). • 13. Lisfranc Fracture-Dislocation Case Study The Lisfranc fracture dislocation is characterised as an injury of the tarsometatarsal joints of the foot. This region of the foot is prone to injury due to the lack of ligaments separating the bases of the first and second metatarsals (Bontrager Lampignano, 2010). The Lisfranc joint articulates between the cuneiforms and cuboid of the foot, along with the distal end of metatarsals, and separates the forefoot from the midfoot. The joint can be seen from three different views in Figure 1 of the appendix (Kalia, Fishman, Carrino, Fayad, 2011). The clinical indications of a Lisfranc fracture dislocation include oedema and tenderness in the area of the midfoot. The injury is usually caused by the foot being overly plantar flexed, and is often associated with vehicular accidents and sporting injuries (Scolaro, Ahn Mehta, 2011). According to ... This film skillfully creates a central plot around Griffin Mill who is a vice president at a movie studio, which pays him enormous sums of money to listen to people describe movies to him. When he hears a pitch he likes, he passes it along. He doesn t have the authority to give a go signal himself, and yet for those who beseech him to approve their screenplays, he has a terrifying negative authority. He can turn them down. Altman utilizes several tactics to both seduce and amuse the audience, ultimately showcasing how easy it is to be enraptured by in the world of celebrities and attention. During Altman s The Player the criteria for a good Hollywood movie are established by Griffin: Suspense, laughter, violence, hope, heart, nudity, sex, and happy endings, mainly happy endings . The viewers can find all of them in the film. Griffin is threatened by a writer whose script or idea he likely brushed off. Every day or two he receives an anonymous card from someone who he has apparently failed to get back to. The suspense in the film starts to build here. He begins to suspect a certain writer named David Kahane and goes to his house one night to confront him. David is not home, but there is an incredible scene where Griffin talks with the man s girlfriend on the phone while voyeuristically watching her through the window. This is an extraordinary symbolization of the voyeuristic essence that goes along with watching the film, or the notion of scopophilia to be precise. This is the first scene where we see Griffin hopelessly falls in love with June Gudmundsdottir, David s live in girlfriend. In the duration of Griffin s conversation on the phone, he finds out that David is watching The Bicycle Thief . He follows David to the theatre and ends up having drink in a bar with him after watching the film. In the bar s parking lot the two men fight. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 23. The Revolutionary Theory Of Class Struggle Benjamin Guerrero Prof. Fatovic / POT 3054 December 7, 2015 Progress through the Struggle Karl Marx, chief characteristic was singleness of purpose, his idea of happiness was to fight and his idea of misery was submission, his inspiration was the rebel slave leader Spartacus, who was a violent gladiator fighting for his freedom. His favorite motto was that you must have doubts about everything and lastly his favorite color was red. Many philosophers interpret the world, but the important thing is to change it and Marx wanted to explain the conditions under which many citizens lived. Since The Soviet Revolution from 1917, almost more than 30 countries have claimed to be inspired by Marx s philosophy. The revolutionary theory of Class Struggle (PG 220, The Marx Engels reader) have inspired a chain of revolutions throughout the world, but the Marxists states that have resulted, are not what he advocated for. These new governments were violent, repressive, oppressive and autocratic. One can find the promise of revolution hidden on his most famous and lengthiest work, his book called Capital; A text that gave catalyst for the chain of ideas that have inspired a world movement. The aim was not for the moral protest but to write a complex, far reaching, interconnected series of books, articles and manifestos. That addition that she replaces with reality, indicating the life they could have had if Briony had done things differently; and it is that replacement in her novel that shows how Briony has taken responsibility for the actions caused by her assumptions. And by finally accepting responsibility for her actions, she is now enlightened, and can see how and why the events unfolded the way they did. And therefore, this consequently leads to the broadening of her fundamental understanding of nearly all perspectives of the events that took place. Leading her to being aware of the fundamental truth behind the events that not only took place in her story, but in reality as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 42. Compatibilism Free Will In the discussion of free will, one controversial issue has been that we do not have free will. On the one hand, determinists argue that every event has a cause and that concept of free will is false reality because it cannot be explained by the scientific process. On the other hand, libertarians believe the opposite is true. Whereas, others like compatibilists argue both beliefs is correct in the sense that we have to change the meaning of freedom. My own view is that the position of the compatibilists solves the problem. I believe in compatibilism because both arguments is presented in our world. For example, we know there is a cause for every event, whether it be from the natural world or from our decisions. For instance, in the natural ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. Literary Analysis Of Mending Wall By Robert Frost Analysis of Mending Wall by Robert Frost Robert Frost is describing a process in Mending Wall , which is repairing a wall that separates his territory and his neighbor s. The wall was deteriorated during the winter, when the cold frost created cracks and gaps in the wall. He uses a nearly infantile imagination to unravel the mystery of the damage that appeared suddenly in spring. While they are tediously laboring to reconstruct the fence, Frost is imploring his neighbor about the use of the wall; his apple trees can be clearly distinguished from his neighbor s pine trees. Yet underneath this quotidian routine, Frost goes beyond the surface to reveal its figurative meaning. The poem renders an apparent question: Why do people build unnecessary ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example, he indicates that the practice of mending the barrier is futile, when he states the metaphor, Oh, just another kind of outdoor game...it comes to little more. Another metaphor he used is Spring is the mischief in me. Mischief here does not refer to anything relative to evil, but to friskiness that attempts to put a notion in his head. Yet this attempt is in unavailing, and the neighbor continues to repair the wall, and in the simile, Like an old stone savage armed , Frost attests that his neighbor has the stride and stubborn ignorance of a caveman. He also uses other devices such as a pun, applied in the line, And to whom I was like to give offence. The last word of the line simply emphasizes the importance of the subject, the fence. The most prominent figure of speech, however, is the ironic, Good fences make good neighbors. This is completely opposite of the connotation of the poem. Fences do not make neighbors, but strangers that are apathetic towards each other. The neighbor seems to prefer this approach, to eliminate any risks of trespassing or offenses. Yet what the fence really does is hinder the development of friendship. This is comparable to the barriers of bitterness, anger, hate, and fear men put between one another that obstruct love and ... • 44. Reflection Paper On Dietetics This fall semester I had the pleasure of taking NHM 195 and fascinating and exciting is probably an understatement about the class. From day one I was intrigued by the new ideas and facts about dietetics. I liked the real life lectures we had a chance of watching and the medical dictionary exercises that have absolutely sharpened my medical vocabulary immensely. In this class we learned about the three different types of dietetic programs: Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD, Coordinated Program in Dietetics (CP), and Dietetic technician program (DT). The DPD is the educational requirements all students wanting a career in dietetics. The program usually takes four years to complete and contains classroom work along with lab work. The program has classes that deals with clinical nutrition, chemistry, microbiology, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... RD s could work in so many different places such as long term care facilities, public health, food service management for schools, hospitals, colleges, universities, and private practice. An RD median salary is about $58,000 a year. This is under what I believe it should be but it is a good living for someone who loves what they do. There are many ways to make a great living being a RD because of the vast pool of jobs that are needed. For those who do not join the DPD program to become a licensed RD, there are great opportunities to further education and there is a wide variety of skill sets that can be learned and joined by having a dietetic degree. If you choose to go to graduate school you can apply for medical school , dental school, physical therapy schools just to name a few. From what I have learned in this class is what I expected when making the decision to attain this degree. This degree gives the student many options to find out form of health service they love and it allows you to harness and fine tune your passion into a precision ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Speech On The Hitler Youth Speaking on the Hitler Youth, and just how violently anti Semitic the group was, Jewish survivor Marcel Back explained, On Sundays we like to go have a nice excursion in the forest, and then you saw a few of those so you tried to avoid to get close to them because they could beat you up (USC SFI VHA, Marcel Back). Another survivor, Fred Berdach noted, There were Hitler Youth on the streets [...] and they became bullies. You were bullied in the streets, you were bullied in the schools, you were bullied anywhere and everywhere (USC SFI VHA, Fred Berdach). Berdach s account was in reference to the evolution of the Hitler Youth in 1938, just three years before the beginning of the mass killing. Many of the then Hitler Youth members would have been eligible to become soldiers in WWII, as well as the older ex members. Perhaps the Hitler Youth members played the roles of enforcers of the killing program and pressured others into doing the same. A further demonstration of latent prejudice in twentieth century societies contributing to genocide is the lack of large scale support for the Jews from outsiders. According to Shlomo Aronson, the Allied Powers had influence in the Holocaust and could have taken steps to lessen the plight of the Jews, but instead turned a blind eye (Aronson, pp.266). Citing three sets of circumstances influencing Allied decisions to not intervene, Aronson noted that the Allies were not keen on being depicted as Jew sympathizers and were in fact very ...
