This essay told a story about how to kickstart our unconventional career from our hobby or our interest.

1. A WRITER WITH ENGINEERING BACKGROUND
There is no limit to what a person can achieve. Hobbies can become a big
potential career in the future, especially for a women that don’t want to go outside
the house. For a future female engineer, of course I want to have a career that
conventional one. But if we have such a burning ambition to pursue something
unconventional, why not pursue that along with the conventional one? There are
many people who were able to pull off the miracle of a dual-career, juggling a
conventional job and an unconventional pursuit at the same time. There is no
reason that we can’t do the same. I remember as Paulo Coelho put it in his book,
The Alchemist, he said that “and, when you want something, all the universe
conspires in helping you to achieve it.” It means, in order to get something, we
must first tell the universe that we want it. In my case, I love writing and drawing.
Eventhough I’m not an expert, I just learn to love those activities. I always share
mine to my ordinary blog or social media such as facebook, instagram and twitter
(more to blog). A blog will announce to the world that you exist, and I make a
choice to my own self, “write or you’ll be forgotten by the time”. Every time
someone leaves a comment at my blog or subscribes to my newsletter, I get
excited and think harder what should I post next time. The result already can be
seen, my friends look at me as a writer by theirselves. I believe I can become a
quite good writer with my engineer background. Well, someone ever told me, we
don’t need a good start to success, it was a good process with high determination
to become extraordinary. But still, the most important thing is we want to take the
first step to start, and I already make a move to my unconventional career journey.
