There have been different definitions of Hospitality. Broadly speaking, Hospitality is the act of
kindness in welcoming and looking after the basic needs of guests or strangers, mainly in
relation to food, drink and accommodation. A contemporary explanation of Hospitality refers to
the relationship process between a guest and a host. When we talk about the Hospitality
Industry , we are referring to the companies or organisations which provide food and/or drink
and/or accommodation to people who are away from home. However, this definition of the
Hospitality Industry only satisfies most situations. Can you think of any circumstances where the
phrase away from home would not be accurate? Resort hotel 1 Introduction to Hospitality

Emma Goldman American Individualist Analysis
Based on today s society to the 20th century, you can conclude that the two time periods are very
much alike dealing with discrimination, unequal rights, and gender inequality. Although many
may not recognize it by turning a blind eye, when a protest does erupt, that is when people come
to a realization which then becomes too late. This ideology connects to how wars are often
started amongst individual s beliefs and differences. With references from different professors
and publishers, you are able to put together how the world was back then to how it has evolved
to today s modern society. The book Emma Goldman: American Individualist remembers and
retells the honest story of a related to fighting authority or causing huge, important changes
through life, love, and supporting what you have faith in. Emma devoted her life to the
production of a fundamentally social order. Also, she grasped anarchism for its vision which
offered: freedom, amicability, and social equity. She had a profound responsibility regarding
outright flexibility and that drove her to uphold a scope of disputable causes. Goldman was a
radical scholar. Forty years on she is more than meaningful, she is notable for her work. Emma
Goldman was known for her women s movement, labor movement and for the No Commission
league to protest world war one s drafts. Goldman s resistance to the Great War is the similar to
those morals Martin Luther King had on the war in Vietnam. A few of these authors identify with

Henry David Thoreau And Romanticism
Henry David Thoreau Henry David Thoreau s words that disobedience is the true foundation of
liberty and that the obedient must be slaves is a political statement that never lost its topicality
during the Romantic era. Thoreau is an important contributor to the philosophical and American
literary movement known as New England Transcendentalism. Nature and the conduct of life are
two central themes that are often weaved together in his essays and books that were published in
the Romantic era of literature. Thoreau brought these two themes together to write on how people
ought to live a simplistic life. His naturalistic writing intertwined cataloging and observation with
Transcendentalist views of nature. Through his life and his work, Henry David Thoreauhas
contributed to American Literature since the Romantic era. The Romantic era began in 1770, with
its peak being from 1800 to 1850. With emphasis on the imagination and emotion, Romanticism
emerged as a result of the Enlightenment period, which heavily placed values upon reason and
order. Thus, Romanticism depends heavily on the practical accomplishments of the prior un
Romantic era a relationship between material wealth and scientific knowledge on one hand, and
personal, spiritual, or emotional transcendence on the other, that twenty first century Americans
continue to manage. The simplest explanation for what is Romantic is anything but the here and

Sustainable Income and Net Income
Lupita Mora Rubio Chapter 13 Questions September 10, 2012
#1 Sustainable income (SI): When companies look at present year net income to estimate future
cash flows it must make sure it does not include irregular items. Irregular items can be losses,
gains, revenues, or expenses. Net income (NI) adjusted for irregular item is SI. SI is the most
likely level of income to be obtained in the future for the company. SI is different than NI as it does
not include the irregular items in the actual year NI.
What relationship does this concept have to the treatment of irregular items on the income
statements? SI is of value as it contains the NI without the noise of irregular items. Example of
irregular item is a one in a lifetime ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

19th Century Charity Dbq
During the nineteenth century charity was viewed as a way the rich could earn salvation by
caring for the less fortunate. Being apart of this group disabled people were affected by the
inequalities in the system. The growth of capitalism and industrialization led to a change in
family dynamics as more people were leaving the home and working in factories and disabled
people were in need of aid that they had been receiving from the family. The wealthy controlled
the conditions for these workers entering the workforce and because welfare was paid for
through taxation it became a way of social control. The wealthy paid more taxes so recipients of
these charities were dependent on them. Any civil disobedience could lead in less aide for disabled

How Did The Seven Year War Affect Canada
Canada was a very unstable country 150 years ago, with two countries fighting over the land.
John A MacDonald helped make Canada a very strong and stable country. The French took over
the land of Canada and called it New France. Later on, he British took control of New France and
later on, called it British North America. One big part of Canadian history was developing a
Responsible government to take care of its citizens. In the time period between 1700s and the
1850s there was a lot of war and acts in Canada. Like the war of the Spanish Succession, the Seven
Year War, the Constitution Act and the Act of Union, until they found peace. From 1700s to the

The French were affected because they lost the war. Both sides returned some of the places they
had captured from the other war. New France was not among them, it remained a British colony.
The French Empire in this part of North America was at an end. The colony of New France did
not last. It officially ended with the Treaty of Paris, in 1763. Britain ended up getting Louisbourg
and New France did not want to sign the treaty of Paris because they gave up everything. In 1791
when the Loyalists originally from Britain came to Quebec, they quickly took up their free land and
built communities. They were shocked by some of the differences between their new home and the
homes in the United States. They had given up their homeland because of their attachment to the
crown. They recently had been abused by the Patriots who were French rebels fighting the British.
Many Loyalists had fought in the British army and some had lost family members in the conflict.
The Loyalists said is this any way to treat heros, we came here to live in freedom. You gave us
French land laws and no elections . They demanded to change the system, the British government
listened. The British agreed to change the system of the government law. The Constitution Act

Sceptile Controversy Blame
by BlameTheBlax One of the biggest causes of debate when it comes to PokГ©mon is which
starter to choose from. Usually, people will simply choose the one that they like the most,
however, there are those who aim only for the most competitively viable. So when PokГ©mon
Sun and Moon came out with Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio, there was bound to be controversy
over which one was the best. Sometime later, we received the leaks of the starter final evolutions.
While the masses shrugged this off as yet another fan concept, I personally found the art to be far
too detailed to be entirely fake. Lo and behold, a month before the game s official release, the
demos were subject to datamining and we found that the leaks were actually valid. While I m unsure

weaker hits, the speed to outpace the majority of PokГ©mon it ought to in order to prosper in
competitive, and the attack to actually do some damage with every hit. As for hidden abilities,
there are countless possibilities with this. My list of ideas is based off of abilities that are
somewhat likely, so with that said, here they are: Sniper, Levitate, Technician, Infiltrator. Sniper is
an obvious choice, personally I wouldn t like it, but I could imagine the benefits if it gets Focus
Energy. Levitate is also fairly obvious, why would we have a bird that can t fly? Empoleon makes
this idea redundant, not to mention Grass resists Ground anyway, but never complain about
immunities. There s also how Ghosts can levitate, but this holds much less weight due to
PokГ©mon like Golurk and Aegislash. Technician would actually be very intriguing, since Hidden
Powers would be boosted and it could run Shadow Sneak with the boost, assuming it gets it. Lastly,
Infiltrator would be interesting. While it may not be the best competitively, the ability to ignore
Screens and Substitutes is awfully rare and would make Decidueye become even more

Chlorine Research Paper
In 1774, a man by the name of Carl Wilhelm Scheele discovered the element Chlorine when he was
combining the mineral pyrolusite with hydrochloric acid. Mr. Scheele had first thought that the gas
he had just discovered contained oxygen, but that was not the case. Later, in 1810, Sir Humphry
Davy proved that chlorinewas a distinct element. During World War I
, chlorine was used. It was the
first poisonous gas used in warfare. Because of the choking odor, chlorine s alias is Choking
Charlie .
On the periodic table, chlorine is located in group 17, period 3, and block p. Chlorine is a part of
the Halogen family and is a nonmetal. The word halogen means salt former.
ATTRIBUTES
Chlorine is described as an irritating, toxic, greenish yellow gas. It is 2 ВЅ times as dense as air
and has a very strong, choking odor. Chlorine s boiling point is 34.6 В°C, and its melting point is
100.98 В°C. A maximum conductivity below the freezing point of chlorine trifluoride ( 83В° C.)
has been observed, and possible mechanisms for the negative temperature effect are discussed. (Toy

Stroke is the third leading cause of death in the United States (National Stroke Association, 2010).
Stroke is also a leading cause of disability. Approximately every 40 seconds someone in the United
States has a stroke which is about 795,000 per year (National stroke Association, 2010). The
incidence of strokemakes it a major health problem in the United States. Prevention and early

Non modifiable risk factors for stroke are age, gender, race and ethnicity, and family history. The
risk for stroke doubles every 10 years after the age of 55 (Rosamound et al., 2007). African
Americans older than age 65 have two to five times the risk of stroke compared with Caucasian
adults of a similar age (Hylek et al., 2006). Hispanics have a higher incidence of stroke than
Caucasians (Stroke Association, 2010). According to the National Stroke Association (2010),
approximately 55,000 more women than men have a stroke each year. The target audience for
this project will be people age 55 or older. All individuals may take part in this program
regardless of age. Stroke warning signs are an important component in educating the community.
Stroke warning signs include sudden paralysis, weakness or numbness in the face, arm, or leg;
sudden blurred or decreased vision in one or both eyes; difficulty speaking or understanding
simple statements; dizziness; loss of balance or loss of coordination; and sudden intense headache
(National Stroke Association, 2010). Decreasing the time from stroke onset to hospital

hardship that suffragists faced during the years of the Women s Suffrage Movement. Despite a

influential and eager individuals such as suffragist leader, Alice Paul and one of her supporters,
Lucy Burns, both of whom had remarkably strong beliefs, that were determined to stand for what

Interpreting The Purpose Of The Constitution In The UK
Unlike many nations across the globe, Britain lacks a codified or a written constitution. Britain
relies on unwritten court judgements, conventions and acts of parliament as the constitution.
According to Packman, the constitution is a system of beliefs and laws that a nation uses to
govern. However, most people across the globe do not consider the UK to have a constitution. Yet,
in reality, UK does have a constitution the only difference is that its constitution is found in an
abstract form consisting of diverse conventions and practices laws, which have evolved over the
years. In fact, the key milestone of UK constitution entails the 1689 Bill of rights. Thus, in the
comparative sense, UK has an unmodified Constitution remembering the constitutional laws in the
UK are derived from Acts of Parliament, law reports, or court judgments. In essence, the unwritten
status of the British constitution gives it its distinguishing feature of the constitution.
Importance of constitutional principles
In regard to British Constitution, the aspect of separation of power is not supreme. For instance, the
three arms of the government are founded under the article of United States Constitution, which
give these arms distinct and essential power roles within the federal government. Basically, the key
objective of having three arms of government is to allow separation of power hence avoid
concentration of power to one branch of government. The U.S. Constitution states that the powers of

Reflective Essay On The Spectator Reflection
That just happens to be the title of the Spectator reflection I wrote in the aftermath of the Halloween
terrorist attack.
I had never thought that something I read in the news would so personally affect my life. Before,
the media was a layer that shielded me from the true horrors of terrorism. My mom s voice always
weakened when she talked about 9/11, but the sympathy and sadness I felt towards that event was
indirect and a result of society s impression of that tragic day.
Now, terrorism no longer hides behind the screen of my phone, or between the words of a New
York Times article. I saw the instrument of terror crash into an innocent school bus, I ve felt the
sheer panic that resulted from not knowing what s happening, and most importantly, I ve
experienced the sheer impact that a random act of terror can wreak on one s body both physically
and mentally.
I ll never forget the English classes we had on the days after the attack. Helicopters made an
ominous droning noise that permeated the entire room, my best friend was in tears, and I was on
the verge of a nervous breakdown. Who the fuck cared about Ragtime? The book was a
commentary on the past a simpler past that seemed enticing in the wake of the emotional trauma I
experienced on that day and nothing more. The gravity of the event I saw happen 50 feet in front
of me loomed over all my thoughts.
Doctorow proved me wrong, for Ragtime will forever be in my memory.

The A 380 is becoming more popular as airlines look for ways to move the maximum amount of
passengers for the least money (Stafford, 2006). The A380 is made in passenger or freight
versions. The A380 800 is the largest passenger plane in the world. When passenger areas are
divided into three classes, the A380 can seat 550 passengers. When the entire plane is designated

According to FAA Order 5300, airports may submit Modifications of Standard (MOS) requests
for review of non standard compliance items as long as safety is not compromised . Making
modification would be much less expensive and less time consuming for the airports that are able
to do them. Some design standards to allow for safe use of the A380 include blast pad dimensions
to be 250 x 400 feet ( Airbus a380 airfield, 2011).
Many smaller airports will not be able to fit the larger airbus and the A380 will be limited to
only the large, hub airports better able to accommodate them. Smaller airports may have to be
used as feeder airports that will connect passengers to the large airports and the A380s. This could
be a problem of increased congestion with the existing slot system if more connecting flights are
needed and there are no more gates available or slot time (Ruehle, Goetsch, Koch, 2006).
At this time intercontinental routes use the hub and spoke system. This method allows airlines to
bundle an increased number of passengers on the flights. The draw back is that it also leads to a
more complex feeder flight schedule. Those airports with the facilities and room to support the
airbuses would then become hubs for those aircraft flights. To be profitable and fill enough seats,
airports with the most potential passengers would need to be paired for flights. Any delay or
cancellation would have a domino effect, costing more

Few historical figures stand out in the same degree as that of Alexander the Great. He was a

attributes that made Alexander Great. He was a brilliant strategist and an inspired leader; he led

Alexander, noticing the horse was afraid of his own shadow, brought him into the sun and
calmed him down. Young Alexander then jumped on the horse as Philip s men watched on with

the horse were companions throughout Alexander s journeys and conquests, and when the
horse died he named a city after him called Bocephia or Bucephala. Alexander s astonishing
upbringing ultimately led to his accession to the throne of Macedon. But first, Philip s life must
be viewed in context with Alexander s to see how this child became a king of a great nation.
Philip had many successes in his early years as King of Macedon, particularly because of his
speed and decisiveness of action in battle. Within three years of his accession to the throne at the
age of 24, Philip had unified Macedonia. Philip s defeat of the Greek allies at Chaeronea in 338
B.C. is typically regarded as the end of the history of the free Greek world. In joining and making
Macedonia secure militarily, Philip granted the conditions from which emerged a Macedonian

the same army Alexander led. The Macedonian army constantly had been a national army. The

Epilepsy Drug Therapies
Introduction:
This paper will focus on the history of epilepsy, the causes of the disease specifically its genetic
link and the evolution of drug therapies. My interest in this topic stems from working with people
with developmental disabilities in a group home setting, many of whom suffer from seizure
disorders. I understand that the disease carries a stigma and many people still hide that they have
the condition which why it s important to educate people about it.
According to Lewis, Dirksen, Heitkemper and Bucher, in the United States, it is estimated that

Patients with chronic epilepsy were taken to clinics or asylums for observation which brought

number of dedicated facilities built to care for people with Epilepsy. In these facilities, terms such
as absence, petit mal and grand mal were introduced which are still used to date. (392). It was also

Analysis Of Allah Hu Akbar
David Procter Formal Writing
Allah Hu Akbar is portrayed as a war chant and terrorist motto by the media whenever there has
been a conflict around the world with Muslims or others with Middle Eastern descent. But it is
actually a prayer meaning God is great. The media is wrongly portraying Muslims as terrorists,
Muslims follow the religion of Islam and since the attacks of 9/11 on the twin towers. Muslims,
especially in America, are suffering from discrimination from babies being forced off domestic
flights to American Muslims who were denied the second amendment of bearing arms. Even
famous musicians have been denied entry in the U.S because of their Islamic name, and
Muslims not being served un opened cans of Coca Cola as it could be used as a weapon . This
prejudice is creating lethal stereotypes in today s society. The media have published articles that
portray many Muslims as terrorists. This has made many Americans believe that Muslims all
have connections to Al Qaeda and Taliban making everyone fear them in general. This
discrimination is even effecting babies. Riyanna Abdullah was an 18 month old child who was
flying on a JetBlue flight from Florida back to New Jersey. She was asked to leave the plane by
flight attendants because she was on the no fly list. Riyanna shares the same name as a known
terrorist (Islam uses similar names). Even when the flight attendants saw that she was an infant they
still refused. This prejudice against the Abdullah family was

The life that makes each of us believe that we have a purpose other than slaving over our careers.
We want the type of life that does not involve numbers, and clients. We want to replace those
with birthday parties and time with loved ones. Every hard working employed person looks
forward to their vacation, a time to relax and step away from the office. It does not mean that we
are not dedicated to our jobs, just that we merely need that down time to be human beings.
However, we continue to give our all to our employers, even at the expense of our family.
It is not necessary for Americans to work over a 40 hour workweek because if we were able to

There is a good chance that we are all guilty of overworking. We often neglect our families, our

Supply and Demand: Gasoline
I am a husband and a father of four lovely children. We need a large vehicle to haul all of us

the side curtain airbags to the TV and DVD player. What we did not know was we also

Norway is the third largest exporter of crude oil. Three separate strikes over a five month period
severely influenced production. The supply of gasoline to various regions of the United States also
plays a significant role. The country is divided into five different regions: Gulf Coast, East
Coast, Midwest, Rocky Mountain, and West Coast. Some of these areas do not have enough
refineries in their own region to support the consumption and therefore need it brought in. For
example, the West Coast has very limited pipeline connections from the other regions. It must
rely on water shipments and its small amount of refiners for its supply. If something should
happen to the water shipments, i.e. a hurricane, tsunami, etc. it would greatly effect the supply
of gasoline. The demand of gasoline has increased steadily over the last twenty years. In 1981
the U.S. averaged 6.5 million barrels of gasoline consumption per day. By comparison, in 2004
the U.S. averaged 9.2 million barrels of gasoline consumption per day. For most of this time
period, gas prices stayed relatively the same. This is because the U.S. refineries increased their
production to meet the demand and maintain the equilibrium price. Also during this same time
period worldwide demand for crude oil increased 27%. Crude oil producers also increased their
production to meet the demand keeping prices the same. The price of gasoline is affected by many

There were no major wars in Europe, though across the ocean the American War of
Independence raged from 1775 1783. Yet there was much discontent in Europe. People were
getting fed up with a two class social structure, in which a tiny group of rich people at the top of
the social scale held power over a vast number of poor people at the bottom, people with virtually
no rights and no way to climb out of their poverty. But power was slowly changing hands from
the aristocracy to the growing middle class. This middle class came about partly through the
Industrial Revolution, which brought a sudden, massive increase in the number of jobs available
in mines, factories, and on the railroads. It was an age of invention: from Watt s steam engine
(1775) to the hot air balloon (1783) and carbonated soda (1785)! A philosophical movement known
as the Enlightenment took hold during this period. People began to believe in the power of human
reason to solve social problems, to correct unjust behaviour, and to make their lives better. The
rights of the individual, freedom of thought, relaxation of censorship, and the gradual abolition of
child labour were just some of the changes that resulted from the

And if mom and dad are forthright and candid in answering these questions it s very unlikely that
the experience will have any lingering negative effects. But let s assume the worst, and suppose
that a six year old child could experience some form of mild trauma as a result of glimpsing, say,
some of the steamier portions of an adult video. Obviously, abolishing the production and sale of
such materials would have prevented the trauma. But proscription of everything that is unsuitable
for children would also necessitate the removal of all power tools from the home workshop, as well
as cooking utensils and appliances from the kitchen. Also illegal would be automobiles, household
chemicals, hunting weapons, lawn mowers, medicine, and most of the books in our libraries

The Labor Theory Of Value
The labor theory of value is an economic theory first proposed by Adam Smith that states that the
value of a good or service is determined by the labor it takes to create the product under normal
circumstances. Furthermore, supply and demand do not affect value, only price. An economist and
philosopher named Karl Marxbelieves this theory proves that capitalismis inherently exploitative of
the working class. Every person has labor power, or the ability to work. However, labor power is
fueled by external resources (such as food, water, clothing, and transportation to the workplace)
which all have value as well, so when an individual s work is more valuable than that sustenance,
surplus value generates. Surplus value will benefit the business rather than the laborer, therefore
Marx believed capitalism is inherently exploitative. Additionally, he thought that capitalistic society
is made up of classes that are bound to struggle consequentially, that this would lead a state to
naturally shift into communism. Nonetheless, this theory is not commonly accepted; marginalism
is the belief that not only the labor used in manufacturing affects its value, but the marginal utility
the overall satisfaction from the good or service. There is a multitude of other opposing theories
and criticisms of Marx s beliefs.
There are many different systems of economics, but if Marx s logic were consistent, each of them
would be exploitative. Capitalism, the least because the working class has

For example, one of the amazing characteristics of holograms is that every part of a hologram is
a smaller version of the whole. Or put another way, if you cut a holographic waveform printed
image into four pieces and point the laser at each one you will not see four quarter segments of
the holographic image. You will see four quarter sized versions of the whole hologram. Every part
of a hologram is a smaller version of the whole.
So maybe our body is just a hologram therefore every part of the body is a smaller version of the
whole. This explains why reflexology, acupuncture and other forms of alternative healing can find

An Indigenous understanding of Reciprocity
Reciprocity is an underlying principle expressed throughout Aboriginal societies. Outline and
illustrate the importance of this fundamental concept in the economic, social, spiritual and political
spheres of Aboriginal life (refer to reciprocity in the index to Edwards 2005).
The word reciprocity 1 conjures up a feel good image of caring and sharing (Schwab 1995: 8).
However according to Peterson (1993: 861) there is a darker more sinister side to this word when
applied to Indigenous Australians. He defines it as demand sharing rather than reciprocity and he
states that Blurton Jones (1987: 38) labels it tolerated theft2. Peterson (1993: 860) goes on to assert

2005: 70). In more recent times, colonial interference with its autocratic removal and relocation of
key individuals and whole groups resulted in virtually a complete collapse of the traditional
Aboriginal economy. As hunting and gathering is no longer possible for city dwellers, the concept
of reciprocity becomes even more important, from an economic point of view, due to the nature of
extended families all co habiting in one small dwelling because of mutual obligation or reciprocity.
According to Smith (1991) household structure has to stretch to encompass the extra household
fiscal networks it now accommodates. One must consider the concept of reciprocity or mutual
benefit to obtain an understanding of domestic expenditure patterns.
To better understand the impact of reciprocity on a single family, here is an example from the
Lajamanu community (Walpiri people), which is currently representative of many Aboriginal
communities (Saethre, E 2005: 151). This anecdote illustrates how (poor) Aboriginal health is
indisputably linked to their economic situation and that reduced eating patterns (feast or famine

Adoption Consequences
Adoption and its Consequences for an Adopted Child
Kristiane B. Fallarcuna
Adoption is a good option for parents who can t secure the future of their children and for people
who long to have children to take care as their own. It can be a saving ground for unwanted
children and for parents who can t afford to keep their children. There are lots of successful adoption
cases and that children with their adoptive parents had happy and loving relationship with one
another. However, there are possible consequences for the adopted child which include lack of
genetic and biological information, feeling of rejection and lowered self confidence and self esteem.
Most adopted children have totally loss contact with their biological parents so it is hard for them
to check some important biological and genetic information. They have no easy way of knowing
what kind of diseases or traits can be genetically transferred to them so they can prevent it earlier.
This consequence can highly affect the medical history of the adopted child which is very

Fancy sculptures praising military triumphs of the Revolution and the First Empire were
completed on the exterior of the arch s four platforms by François Rude, Jean Pierre Cortot,
and Antoine Etex. The most acclaimed of those sculptures is Rude s Departure of the Volunteers
of 1792, also known as La Marseillaise. Different surfaces are embellished with the names of
several officers and fights. A stairway of 284 steps extends from the lowest point to the highest
point of the landmark; a lift goes partially up the landmark. However, to get to the top, where a
watching deck is found, you have to climb the rest of the way. A little gallery with interesting
displays on the history behind the arch lies one level beneath the observation area. Underneath the
arch is France s Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from 1921. A fire of recognition, which was first lit
in 1923, is revived each night. A celebration announcing the creation of the 1918 peace negotiation
that finished World War I is held at the Arc de Triomphe each year.
The Arc de Triomphe keeps on acting as a famous image of France, to the nation itself and to the

The Relationship Between Religion and Ethics Essay
To answer this question, we must first understand what both ethics and morality are. As ethics is
defined as the philosophical study of morality, those who study religion get their moral precepts
from what they believe God says should be done. This perspective is not at all unexpected,
because all religions apply a perspective on morality. Morality is defined as beliefs concerning
right and wrong, good and bad beliefs that can include judgements, values, rules, principles, and
theories. Morals are what help us guide our actions, define our values, and give us reason for
being the person that we are. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, in 2009, over 228 million
Americans classified themselves as practicing some type of religion. Due to... Show more content

These religious codes of conduct, such as the Ten Commandments, are generally very broad
statements, elucidating only general principles that may be inconvenient to apply to each specific
case. Some religious moral codes may also contradict one another. These contradictions compel
religious believers to decipher religious directives or to draw out the implications of particular
views this is otherwise known as doing ethics. When conflicts such as moral contradictions and
inconsistencies arise, conversations including ethics and moral reasoning is the only way to solve
these inconsistencies. Those who are genuine devotees of a certain religion may question if their
religion s moral instructions make sense according to one another. In these distinct cases, intelligent
resolution of the claims can only be sorted out by putting in place an unbiased standard that can
classify the competing viewpoints. This is where ethics comes in as the neutrality in the form of
critical thinking, proficient arguments, and careful analysis. Any beneficial conversations about
morality that occur between those who practice religion and those who do not, or those with
different religions, must incorporate a common set of ethical concepts and a shared procedure for
resolving issues and making judgments, all of which ethics provides. It is also understood that in
these conversations moral positions on the issues

Fashion Defines Individual Identity, Image, Shoes, And...
Streets are the Real Runways
The customer grasps the cold, brass doorknob, with a jerk, swings open the door, and walks
inside. Behind her, the bell, tied to the knob, rings and the cashier from the counter yells his
greetings, as he does for every customer. The customer continues walking, passing shelf after shelf
full of tops, blouses, and jackets all banal and redundant. Nevertheless, the customer finally stops
and finds just what she was looking for: a bright blue top, that will make her eyes pop for tonight s
dinner date. She will feel confident and beautiful tonight because of that blue blouse. A new top or
a new trend, society craves for fashionable outfits, shoes, and accessories. Fashion defines
individual identity, impacts perceptions, and portrays a symbolic meaning.
Fashion helps the individual grow and change one s emotional and physical identities. The clothes
one wears daily define how the individual feels and reflects one s attitudes and moods. For
example, if an individual is lethargic, one may be seen in sweatpants; if one is feeling powerful,
the individual may be seen in a suit. The phrase fashion choice does not just include the articles of
clothing that one chooses to put on; it also implies the identity the individual chooses to represent
for the day. Many say attitude is everything, but fashion is everything, because for many, clothing
can determine the animated attitude the individual chooses to display or not display for the day.

Theme Of Mistakes In Romeo And Juliet
Every story or piece of writing has more than one theme, some harder to find than others. In the
play Romeo and Juliet the most obvious theme seems to be love, but, digging deeper in the play,
more less obvious themes become noticeable. Shakespeare was trying to deliver the message of
folliness and folly and how Romeo and juliet s lovewas rushed to quickly. Common sense could
have been used to avoid the deaths of the couple and possibly end the family feud.
Making mistakes are a natural part of what makes us humans. It is our flaw because no one is
perfect, but those that are wise, learn from them. I do not consider a mistake a mistake unless
there was no common sense used. Using common sense before making a mistake usually has a
better, less harmful, outcome and could be avoided next time it happens. In the play Romeo and
Juliet everyone is a subject of foolishness and folly, and neglecting a mistake lead to the
unrealized death s of the two protagonists. The main character(s) who embodie the message of
foolishness and folly points to Romeo, Tybalt, the Nurse and Friar lawrence and their lack of
common sense. Pointing out all of Romeo s foolishness in the play is easy, but it is not always
Romeo s fault. Romeo was influenced by love, Friar Lawrence, Tybalt, the nurse, his friends and

in America. Although, after a few years they need help and were left unsupervised as the leader of
the tribe left for food. When he returned he found nothing for the colony had vanished. The Lost
Colony of Roanoke may have vanished into the ever changing culture of Indians or was killed by
leaving the colony disbanded and scattered.
Even though, the colony contained hundreds of people all of them disappeared. Furthermore, the
name Lost Colony was given to a english establishment that sailed to the Island of Roanoke in
America ( Roanoke Colony). The colony consisted of 117 people seventeen woman, ninety one
men and nine children (ABC CLIO). Also, their leader, Raleigh White, had to sail back to sail
back to England due to the lack if food and imminent starvation of the colony( The Lost Colony).

The colony that was sent to Roanoke to destroy French assets in the Americas but could not sustain
their way of life (Prentzas 67). Furthermore, this was one of many attempts to hurt France through
American colonization. As has been noted, the words Croatoan and Cro were carved into a tree(
Roanoke Colony ). Additionally, this could to where they went or it could have been a claim of
territory. Many historians believe that the Colony migrated into the Indian culture ( Roanoke
Colony ). Realizing Raleigh might not return, the colony left the infertile island. It is likely the
colonists assimilated into the Lumbee Tribe ( Roanoke Colony ). The Lumbees are a northern
inland tribe. No one knows where the colonists went but there is a high chance that they assimilated

Principles of Professional Practice
NMC Report
Introduction
For this report I have been asked to compare and contrast the principles of regulations of two care
professions. I have decided to choose Nursing and Social Work because I am currently training to
be a nurse and I would like to see the difference between Nursing and Social Workeducation,
training and codes of conduct as this is a field I don t know much about.
NMC Nursing Midwifery Council
Follows The Code: Standards of conduct, performance and ethics for nurses and midwives
SSSC Scottish Social Services Council
Follows Codes of Practice for Social Service Workers and Employers
SSSC has a code for both employers and workers. I am ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Continuing Professional Development
Both these professions expect the same high standards when it comes to education and training.
Nursing and Social Work both have requirements for continued professional development and
lifelong learning. It is essential that Nurses and Social workers keep a record of their training
throughout their careers.
To be able to remain working and practicing as a nurse or a midwife you must keep your skills
and knowledge up to date through lifelong learning. This requires that nurses complete 450 hours
of registered practice along with 35 hours of learning activities every three years along with the
annual fee of ВЈ100. Medicines, treatments and equipment are continuously changing so it s
important that nurses keep up to date to ensure that patients are getting the best available care. You
must take part in appropriate learning and practice activities that maintain and develop you
competence and performance (NMC, 2008 p6).
Social Worker s must undertake relevant training to maintain and improve your knowledge and
skills and contributing to the learning and development of others (SSSC, 2009 section 6.8). The
requirement of continued learning is fifteen days which can consist of courses, reading

Sport Drink Alternatives
Sport Drink Alternatives for Beach Volleyball Players With the sand, sun, and intensity of the
game, beach volleyball requires proper hydration in order to keep their energy level high, as
well as to stay safe in the hot sun. While commercial sports drinks are designed to give you an
energy boost and help recovery, they are usually high in calories and sugar. Typically drinking
water is an excellent way to stay hydrated, but it is suitable for low intensity exercise for up to 50
minutes. Unfortunately, this is not the case with beach volleyball players. Water does not contain
sodium, and this can cause your body to lose fluid, so water alone is not enough for the high
intensity workout of beach volleyball. Luckily there are plenty of healthy... Show more content on

In addition, maple water contains half the sugar of coconut water, and many find that it even
tastes better! While it contains fewer electrolytes, such as potassium, then other alternative
drinks, maple water contains abscisic acid (ABA). This is a compound that fights inflammation
and helps regulate your blood sugar, so be sure to add this delicious drink into the mix! Green
Tea This well known drink may help improve athletic endurance, and can improve the ability of
muscle cells to utilize fat for energy. The antioxidant effect of green tea has a protective effect
on cell membranes and on red blood cells. Your red blood cells perform a vital role during
exercise by providing oxygen, and this needed for optimal energy production. You can also make
your own healthy sports drink. Doing it yourself allows you to have complete control over what
you put into your drink there s nothing better than knowing exactly what you are putting into
your body. In addition, making your own allows you tailor your drink to fit your needs. There are
a lot of electrolyte filled foods out there, so the sky s the limit. If you need some inspiration, check

The Disability Rights Movement
People with mobility impairments have not created oppositional consciousness for their disability,
but have been grouped together with individuals who are deaf or blind in developing an overall
disability consciousness (Mansbridge Morris, 2001). Crucial to disability consciousness is the
belief that all people with disabilities are oppressed in the sense of having been unjustly deprived
of power, status, and opportunities...Like members of other oppressed groups who have developed
an oppositional consciousness, people with a disabilityconsciousness contend that their subordinate
position is not due to personal failure (Mansbridge Morris, 2001, p. 84). People with disabilities
believe they have suffered negative status results from a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Television stations, such as the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) that was created in 1967, along
with other grassroots cable television movements in the 1970s, began with the mission to provide
continuous coverage of political issues for citizen awareness and education (Sirianni Friedland,
2001). By the 1980s, commercial television was a dominant medium of communication, and local
news was its cash cow (Sirianni Friedland, 2001, p. 189). With continued exposure to issues in
society for the American public, individuals in the disability rights movement have another source
of media to influence and promote their campaign. One important issue that had occurred in
Seversville, North Carolina, described the city with years of neglect and public life that was in
serious decline. In January 1995, community leaders started a campaign, Taking Back Our
Neighborhoods, and televised the kickoff and continuing events on public television (Sirianni
Friedland, 2001). Reporters for this particular campaign listened and responded to the concerns of
problems in the community from those citizens who lived there. Different groups within the city,
different churches and other civic connections, worked together and grew as agents of change
within the political structure of the city. Crime was reduced, and issues were heard that brought a

Class C Airspace
There was no need for airspace regulation in the US up until 1903 when the Wright brothers began
the modern age of air flight with a homemade aircraft. Then in 1905, the work of the Wright
brothers accumulated into the first practical aircraft that and subsequent improvements that allowed
aviation technology to develop into commercial aircraft as well as war capable planes which were
used in World War I.
Early aviation was quite dangerous as a result of no advanced navigational technologies or
automated flight systems. A great deal of human error was possible with these early aircraft.
During these times, pilots flew close enough to the ground so that they could tell where they were
going by using roadways and railways. This sort of primitive ... Show more content on

A class C airspace must have met a basic physical infrastructure of a control tower and a radar
controlled approach system. The altitude limit for class C airspace is usually 4000 ft above the
airport. The overarching shelf like space has an upper and lower region, each with a radius of 10
miles and 20 miles, respectively. Although prior authorization/permission is not needed, aircraft that
want to enter class C airspace must establish radio communication with local air traffic control
prior to entering the airspace or be faced with trespassing. Aircraft pilots wishing to enter this
area do not need special certification but a speed limit of 230 mph must be obeyed below the
altitude of 2500 feet and the immediate area surrounding class C airspace. Pilots must be willing
to follow commands from ATC including requests not to enter the airspace or to vacate the
airspace. Class C airspace designation is only to be effective while the control tower and radar
controlled approach system are active. Outside of these hours, the airspace becomes Class D or E
airspace depending on if the approach control is closed or the tower is

According to Packman, the constitution is a system of beliefs and laws that a nation uses to govern. However, most people across the globe do not consider the UK to have a constitution. Yet, in reality, UK does have a constitution the only difference is that its constitution is found in an abstract form consisting of diverse conventions and practices laws, which have evolved over the years. In fact, the key milestone of UK constitution entails the 1689 Bill of rights. Some design standards to allow for safe use of the A380 include blast pad dimensions to be 250 x 400 feet ( Airbus a380 airfield, 2011). Many smaller airports will not be able to fit the larger airbus and the A380 will be limited to only the large, hub airports better able to accommodate them. The Labor Theory Of Value The labor theory of value is an economic theory first proposed by Adam Smith that states that the value of a good or service is determined by the labor it takes to create the product under normal circumstances. Furthermore, supply and demand do not affect value, only price. An economist and philosopher named Karl Marxbelieves this theory proves that capitalismis inherently exploitative of the working class. Every person has labor power, or the ability to work. However, labor power is fueled by external resources (such as food, water, clothing, and transportation to the workplace) which all have value as well, so when an individual s work is more valuable than that sustenance, surplus value generates. Surplus value will benefit the business rather than the laborer, therefore Marx believed capitalism is inherently exploitative. Additionally, he thought that capitalistic society is made up of classes that are bound to struggle consequentially, that this would lead a state to naturally shift into communism. Nonetheless, this theory is not commonly accepted; marginalism is the belief that not only the labor used in manufacturing affects its value, but the marginal utility the overall satisfaction from the good or service. There is a multitude of other opposing theories and criticisms of Marx s beliefs. In more recent times, colonial interference with its autocratic removal and relocation of key individuals and whole groups resulted in virtually a complete collapse of the traditional Aboriginal economy. As hunting and gathering is no longer possible for city dwellers, the concept of reciprocity becomes even more important, from an economic point of view, due to the nature of extended families all co habiting in one small dwelling because of mutual obligation or reciprocity. According to Smith (1991) household structure has to stretch to encompass the extra household fiscal networks it now accommodates. One must consider the concept of reciprocity or mutual benefit to obtain an understanding of domestic expenditure patterns. To better understand the impact of reciprocity on a single family, here is an example from the Lajamanu community (Walpiri people), which is currently representative of many Aboriginal communities (Saethre, E 2005: 151). As ethics is defined as the philosophical study of morality, those who study religion get their moral precepts from what they believe God says should be done. This perspective is not at all unexpected, because all religions apply a perspective on morality. Morality is defined as beliefs concerning right and wrong, good and bad beliefs that can include judgements, values, rules, principles, and theories. Morals are what help us guide our actions, define our values, and give us reason for being the person that we are. When conflicts such as moral contradictions and inconsistencies arise, conversations including ethics and moral reasoning is the only way to solve these inconsistencies. Those who are genuine devotees of a certain religion may question if their religion s moral instructions make sense according to one another. In these distinct cases, intelligent resolution of the claims can only be sorted out by putting in place an unbiased standard that can classify the competing viewpoints. This is where ethics comes in as the neutrality in the form of critical thinking, proficient arguments, and careful analysis. Any beneficial conversations about morality that occur between those who practice religion and those who do not, or those with different religions, must incorporate a common set of ethical concepts and a shared procedure for resolving issues and making judgments, all of which ethics provides. Common sense could have been used to avoid the deaths of the couple and possibly end the family feud. Making mistakes are a natural part of what makes us humans. By the 1980s, commercial television was a dominant medium of communication, and local news was its cash cow (Sirianni Friedland, 2001, p. 189). With continued exposure to issues in society for the American public, individuals in the disability rights movement have another source of media to influence and promote their campaign. One important issue that had occurred in Seversville, North Carolina, described the city with years of neglect and public life that was in serious decline. In January 1995, community leaders started a campaign, Taking Back Our Neighborhoods, and televised the kickoff and continuing events on public television (Sirianni Friedland, 2001). The altitude limit for class C airspace is usually 4000 ft above the airport. The overarching shelf like space has an upper and lower region, each with a radius of 10 miles and 20 miles, respectively. Although prior authorization/permission is not needed, aircraft that want to enter class C airspace must establish radio communication with local air traffic control prior to entering the airspace or be faced with trespassing. Pilots must be willing to follow commands from ATC including requests not to enter the airspace or to vacate the airspace. Class C airspace designation is only to be effective while the control tower and radar controlled approach system are active. Outside of these hours, the airspace becomes Class D or E airspace depending on if the approach control is closed or the tower is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
