This document summarizes the gendered impacts of past economic crises and the potential impacts of the current crisis. It notes that past crises led to an emphasis on deflationary policies, privatization, and protecting male jobs, relying on women's unpaid labor. This increased women's unpaid work and informal paid work. For the current crisis, it calls for fiscal stimulus, abandoning inflation targeting, and a "care new deal" alongside a green new deal. However, it expresses concern that developing countries may still face strict IMF conditionality, disproportionately burdening women through cuts to social services and unchecked increases to women's unpaid labor. It calls for monitoring these hidden costs and ensuring gender-responsive policy responses.

Knowledge development implies that an organization must focus on gaining new insights and understanding through research, collaboration, and experience. Partnerships with enterprising individuals can help cooperative organizations expand their knowledge and capabilities.
The document discusses ICCO's approach to institutionalizing capacity development of partner organizations in financial management. It analyzes ICCO's policies and practices, finding that the capacity development approaches of individual financial officers vary. Factors like workload, the relationship with partners, and lack of support structures influence officers' work. Currently, ICCO does not have a clear, structured approach to building partners' financial management capacities as intended. The document recommends that ICCO comply with its own policies, provide better support structures, mainstream capacity development into its project cycle, and clarify financial officers' performance expectations and cooperation with partners to improve how it institutionalizes capacity development.

Programmatic approach: External presentation may 2011ICCO Cooperation
1. Under a programmatic approach, organizations agree to work towards a common goal using their own strengths while achieving a greater impact.
2. The approach is multi-stakeholder, based on complexity thinking and aims for systems change through cooperation between actors.
3. Cooperation leads to added value like greater effectiveness through addressing issues at multiple levels and aspects.
Under a programmatic approach, organizations work together towards a common goal, vision, and strategy to create greater social impact than any could alone.

Webinar: Designing a schema for a Data WarehouseFederico Razzoli
Are you new to data warehouses (DWH)? Do you need to check whether your data warehouse follows the best practices for a good design? In both cases, this webinar is for you.
A data warehouse is a central relational database that contains all measurements about a business or an organisation. This data comes from a variety of heterogeneous data sources, which includes databases of any type that back the applications used by the company, data files exported by some applications, or APIs provided by internal or external services.
But designing a data warehouse correctly is a hard task, which requires gathering information about the business processes that need to be analysed in the first place. These processes must be translated into so-called star schemas, which means, denormalised databases where each table represents a dimension or facts.
We will discuss these topics:
- How to gather information about a business;
- Understanding dictionaries and how to identify business entities;
- Dimensions and facts;
- Setting a table granularity;
- Types of facts;
- Types of dimensions;
- Snowflakes and how to avoid them;
- Expanding existing dimensions and facts.
