A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

1. How Effective is the combination of
your main product and ancillary
texts?
Alex Hardy – 1058
A2 Media Studies
2. The Main product is my documentary and the ancillary texts are the
radio advert and poster.
The effectiveness of these products is very important, when
producing the ancillary texts I thought about the combination and if
they worked well together.
3. How Effective is the combination of the
documentary and the radio advert?
In both products the same music is featured, this combination is quite effective as the music
is at the beginning of both products which creates a specific mood for the viewer. The same
voiceover can be heard of Mick, the radio advert informs the audience of the content through
the use of a voiceover the combination of both products is effective because there are both
relevant the same music and voiceover is used they both compliment each other.
4. Research done before producing our poster, into similar shows on the same
channel or have the same content.

Living TV channel

chosen channel.
5. Ghostly green background inspiration from the ghost hunters poster, this is effective because it
is relevant and links into the content of the documentary. If the sky colour was a colour like blue
this wouldn’t be effective it wouldn’t inform the audience of content also wouldn’t really make
them watch.

6. How Effective is the combination of the
documentary and poster?
I think the combination of the documentary and poster is very effective.
Firstly it is clear from the start for both products what the documentary will be
about, through the use of dark colours and ghostly effects this informs the
audience that the documentary is about the paranormal.
The poster backs up everything in the documentary it shows that the
documentary is participatory and that the content is about the paranormal.
The poster research helped because there is similarities in my poster to the
professional posters, people who watch and like the TV show ghost hunters will
be interesting in our documentary because the same aspects are taken from the
ghost hunters poster and incorporated onto ours.
