represent particular social groups?
Gender - Males
• In our sequence the only male character is represented
negatively.
• He is scared and tries to run away which is representing
him as a weak character.
• Going against the general stereotypes of males being
strong.
Gender - Females
• Females come across as the dominant gender.
• Stronger than the man which is ironic.
• Going against the general stereotypes of females being weak.
Holly is the ghost girl
in our sequence
Age
• Ollie, our young adult character is
represented as a weak character.
• Holly, our child ghost is represented as strong.
• Both representations are opposite to what the
general stereotypes of their age group are.
Supernatural
• The supernatural is represented as strong in our product,
because it manages to trap our protagonist in the house.
• This also represents the supernatural as evil.
• The supernatural in our film is represented by a young, girl
who is a ghost, which suits the conventions of a typical
supernatural ghost.
Estate Agent
• The estate agent in our production is represented as a
weak character.
• They are often represented as a young, narrow minded
social group.

  • 2. Gender - Males • In our sequence the only male character is represented negatively. • He is scared and tries to run away which is representing him as a weak character. • Going against the general stereotypes of males being strong.
  • 3. Gender - Females • Females come across as the dominant gender. • Stronger than the man which is ironic. • Going against the general stereotypes of females being weak. Holly is the ghost girl in our sequence
  • 4. Age • Ollie, our young adult character is represented as a weak character. • Holly, our child ghost is represented as strong. • Both representations are opposite to what the general stereotypes of their age group are.
  • 5. Supernatural • The supernatural is represented as strong in our product, because it manages to trap our protagonist in the house. • This also represents the supernatural as evil. • The supernatural in our film is represented by a young, girl who is a ghost, which suits the conventions of a typical supernatural ghost.
  • 6. Estate Agent • The estate agent in our production is represented as a weak character. • They are often represented as a young, narrow minded social group.
