It defines supply chain management as the management of the flow of goods from raw materials to finished products, and as streamlining business activities to maximize customer value. The five basic components of supply chain management are also mentioned. Several sectors of supply chain management are then outlined, including demand management planning and strategic lead time management. The remainder of the document focuses on concepts and strategies for managing strategic lead times, including time-based competition, reducing lead times, and improving visibility of demand within the supply chain.
This document provides an overview of brand architecture and positioning from AMATI & Associates. It discusses:
- Brand architecture models including monolithic, multi-brand, umbrella, endorsed brands, and umbrella with sub-brands. Examples of each are provided.
- The importance of understanding competitors, target customers, consumer insights, benefits, values, relationship-building statements, discriminators, and essence for effective brand positioning.

This document discusses value adding service delivery strategies for health care organizations. It begins by introducing directional, adaptive, and competitive strategies that must be translated into action. Value adding service delivery strategies are then described as having three components: pre-service activities like marketing research and branding; point-of-service activities focused on clinical operations and patient satisfaction; and after-service activities such as follow-up calls and billing. Each of these components works together to position the health care organization, meet customer needs, and ensure quality from pre-visit to post-care. The document emphasizes that coordinating these explicit strategies across the value chain is critical for health care providers to survive in today's competitive environment.
The document discusses guidelines for proper storage of drugs and medications. Key points include storing drugs in a secure, temperature-controlled area under appropriate conditions to prevent deterioration. Medications should be arranged systematically for easy identification and access. Proper documentation and inventory management procedures like first expiration first out are important to ensure drug quality and safety.
This document summarizes supply chain management practices in the healthcare industry. It discusses that healthcare supply chains involve various stakeholders like producers, purchasers, and providers. It also outlines different modes of integration in healthcare supply chains like integration of processes, information, planning, and markets. Some best practices discussed are use of RFID technology, inventory management, procurement processes, information sharing, and revenue cycle management systems. The conclusion states that while improvements have been made, areas like inventory control, procurement, and information sharing require more focus from managers.
Supply Chain Management of TOYOTA.......case study by sabio bernard.Sabio Bernard
Toyota is a global auto manufacturer known for its lean manufacturing system called the Toyota Production System (TPS). TPS was developed to improve quality and productivity with the goal of efficiently producing vehicles for customers. Toyota has a global strategy of opening factories in each market it serves and designing plants with flexibility to export to other markets when local demand weakens. For its supply chain, Toyota must address questions around plant location, capacity, market allocation, and product design flexibility to facilitate efficient global manufacturing and distribution.

Saccharomyces boulardii in the prevention of antibiotic-associated diarrhoeaUtai Sukviwatsirikul
This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated the effectiveness of Saccharomyces boulardii in preventing antibiotic-associated diarrhea in children and adults based on 21 randomized controlled trials involving 4780 participants. The administration of S. boulardii compared to placebo or no treatment reduced the risk of antibiotic-associated diarrhea from 18.7% to 8.5%. S. boulardii was effective in reducing the risk of antibiotic-associated diarrhea in both children and adults. It also reduced the risk of Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea in children but not adults. Overall, the results confirm that S. boulardii is effective for preventing antibiotic-associated diarrhea in children and adults.

It discusses the pathogenesis of acute diarrhea and describes fluid and electrolyte losses and consequences of dehydration and nutritional deficits. It provides details on fluid and electrolyte composition of diarrheal stool from different pathogens. It outlines the objectives of diarrhea treatment and causes of death. It then discusses use of oral rehydration therapy and solutions. It recommends probiotics, continued feeding, and zinc supplementation. It
