Peripheral nerve damage affecting the upper extremities can vary widely in cause and extent.
Many disorders, ranging from mild carpal tunnel syndrome to severe brachial plexopathy, need to be considered in a patient presenting with pain, sensory loss, or weakness involving the shoulder, arm, or hand.
The upper limb consists of various joints that enable movement and provide flexibility. These joints can be classified into different types based on their structure and function.
Understanding the anatomy and function of these joints is crucial for assessing and managing conditions related to the upper limb, as well as for rehabilitation and therapeutic interventions. Joint injuries, arthritis, and other disorders may affect the functionality of these joints, and appropriate medical care may be necessary for optimal outcomes.

Welcome, and thank you for joining me today. We will explore a strategic proposal to enhance parking and traffic management at Lincoln Financial Field, aiming to improve the overall fan experience and operational efficiency. This comprehensive plan addresses existing challenges and leverages innovative solutions to create a smoother and more enjoyable experience for our fans.
Slide 2:
Picture this: It’s a crisp fall afternoon, driving towards Lincoln Financial Field. The atmosphere is electric—tailgaters grilling, fans in Eagles jerseys creating a sea of green and white. The air buzzes with camaraderie and anticipation. You park, join the throng, and make your way to your seat. The stadium roars as the Eagles take the field, sending chills down your spine. Each play is a thrilling dance of strategy and skill. This is what being an Eagles fan is all about—the joy, the pride, and the shared experience.
Slide 3:
But now, the day is marred by frustration. The excitement wanes as you struggle to find a parking spot. The congestion is overwhelming, and tempers flare. The delays mean you miss the pre-game excitement, the tailgate camaraderie, and even the opening kick-off. After the game, the joy of victory or the shared solace of defeat is overshadowed by the stress of navigating out of the parking lot. The gridlock, honking horns, and endless waiting drain the energy and joy from what should have been an unforgettable experience.
Our proposal aims to eliminate these frustrations, ensuring that from arrival to departure, your experience is extraordinary. Efficient parking and smooth traffic flow are key to maintaining the high spirits and excitement that make game days special.
Slide 4:
The Philadelphia Eagles are not just a premier NFL team; they are an integral part of the community, hosting games, concerts, and various events at Lincoln Financial Field. Slide 5:
Recent trends show an increasing demand for efficient event logistics. Our customer feedback has consistently highlighted frustrations with parking and traffic. Surveys indicate that a significant number of fans are dissatisfied with the current parking situation. Comparisons with other venues like Citizens Bank Park and Wells Fargo Center reveal that we lag in terms of parking efficiency and convenience. These insights underscore the urgent need for innovation to meet and exceed fan expectations.

2. Anatomy of The Elbow
•Humerus – consist of
biceps & triceps muscle
•Ulna - on the medial
(little finger) side
• Radius - on the lateral
(thumb) side of the
forearm
2
9. Injuries to the Elbow
Epicondylitis
• Lateral Epicondylitis (Tennis Elbow)
Causes :
- repetitive motions of the forearm
- faulty techniques or mechanics, weak
muscle group, and inappropriate equipment
9
10. • the following maneuvers can lead to tennis
elbow:
1) One-handed backhand with poor form,
2) A late forehand swing resulting in
bending the wrist significantly,
3) Snapping and turning the wrist while
serving with full power.
10
11. • Lateral Epicondylitis(Tennis Elbow)
Signs :
- inflammation of the tendons
- causing pain at lateral site during and
after activity
- pain at extension of wrist and full
extension of elbow
11
12. • Lateral Epicondylitis (Tennis Elbow)
Treatment :
- R.I.C.E
- Anti-inflammatory medications (aspirin
and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory
drugs (NSAIDs) such as naproxen
(Naprosyn), diclofenac (Voltaren), and
ibuprofen (Motrin)
12
13. • Medial Epicondylitis (Golfer’s Elbow)
Causes :
- overuse of the wrist flexor-pronator
muscles
- repetitive and prolonged strain on the
forearm muscles, coupled with inadequate
rest, will tend to strain and overwork those
muscles.
13
14. • Medial Epicondylitis (Golfer’s Elbow)
Signs :
-pain and soreness due to
inflammation and tendon
changes on the inside of
the elbow
-Weakness, stiffness and a general
restriction of movement
14
15. • Medial Epicondylitis (Golfer’s Elbow)
Treatment :
- R.I.C.E
- heat and massage removing scar tissue
and speeding up the healing process of the
muscles and tendons
15
16. Injuries to the Elbow
Elbow Dislocation
Causes :
- occurs usually because of:
- Fall
- Direct blow
- Often involves an associated fracture
of the Radius, Humerus or Ulna.
- falling onto an outstretched hand
16
17. Injuries to the Elbow
Elbow Dislocation
Complete dislocation
-the joint surfaces are completely
separated.
Partial dislocation/Subluxation
-the bones can spontaneously
relocate and the joint may appear
fairly normal.
17
18. Symptoms

19. Injuries to the Elbow
Elbow Dislocation
Treatment :
-Rest. Give your elbow complete
rest
-Apply ice or cold therapy to
the elbow.
-Put the elbow in a sling
-DO NOT attempt to 'pop it back in'
yourself! This can cause further damage.
19
20. Injuries to the Elbow
Elbow Dislocation
Treatment :
- MRI or X-ray may be performed
(sometimes before, sometimes after
reduction)
- rehabilitation (Exercise)
- Nonsurgical Treatment
- Surgical Treatment
20
21. Injuries to the Elbow
Volkmann’s Ischemic Contracture
Causes :
-deformity of the hand, fingers, and wrist
caused by injury to the muscles of the
forearm
-occurs when there is a lack of blood flow
(ischemia) to the forearm
21
22. - crush injury or fracture, can lead to
swelling that presses on blood vessels and
can decrease blood flow to the arm
-A prolonged decrease in blood flow will
injure the nerves and muscles, causing
them to become stiff (scarred) and
shortened.
22
23. Volkmann’s Ischemic Contracture
Signs :
- Pain when the doctor moves the fingers
up and down
- forearm may be very swollen and shiny
- Decreased sensation
- Paleness of the skin
- Weakness
23
25. Injuries to the Hand
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Neuropathy caused by compression of the
median nerve in the wrist.
Causes :
- Traumatic wrist injuries
- Repetitive use of the wrist
- Pregnancy
- Use of vibrating machinery
- Congenital
- Arthritis
25
26. Injuries to the Hand
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Feel ache in the wrist and forearm.
- Pain spread into the thumb and four
fingers.
- Feel burning in the hand or four fingers.
- Pain which is worse at night.
- Pain may spread into the forearm, elbow
and shoulder.
- Weakness in the fingers and hands.
26
27. Injuries to the Hand
How to diagnose Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?
- Tunnel sign
- Phalanges test
